Outdoor Statues

As a novelty item, this is fine except that it's hollow making it too light to stay correctly positioned. It tends to fall forward onto its head. I plan to add sand or something so it won't blow away with a strong wind. For the $$ I would liked to have been able to place it in the garden and not worry that it might end up down the street. Mooning Garden Gnome

I love my mooning garden gnome. I bought it to get a point across to my horrible neighbor. I feel better just having him out there on my deck in all his glory. Well constructed. I used sand to give him some weight.

I gave this as a gift for my MIL. She had a long lasting expensive lawsuit with her horrible neighbors! She has since placed this gnome along the fenceline (neighbors cant see it). Always gets ppl to chuckle when they see it.

Only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is it is made out of cheesy plastic. It is durable. Would rather it been resin or ceramic.

If you have horrible neighbors like my MIL, then i recommended it :D

Neighbors bugging you about your grass? Are your weeds too tall? Getting anonymous letters from your neighbors that your don't care about the neighborhood. This gnome is a great way to tell your neighbors to mind their own business and quite bugging you. Would you rather spend $20 bucks paying the neighbor kid to mow the grass or spend $20 on a visual message to your neighbors. The neighbor kid is just going to spend the money on candy and pop. Support freedom, oppose childhood obesity...send you neighbor the message...kiss my gnome.'

Eco-sports - eco-sports, best yoga mat on the market

I got this mat because it was extra long and had a couple of extra inches in width--very helpful in the Fixed-Firm pose! I also loved the color--not many long mats in a color a girl could love. But my beef is that this mat is like an ice rink for my Yogitoes towel!! I simply cannot believe it! The towel that gripped my cheap mat before now slides ALL OVER the place on this pricey one. So I guess now I need to spend the extra money to get a Manduka towel--I sweat so much in hot yoga that regular towels tend to get too wet. Ugh. Three $50 Yogitoes towels that are now useless. I wish they had mentioned something to this nature in the description. I've tried wetting the towel like another guy in my class does, but no dice. Very disappointing. So if you are considering this mat and have Yogitoes towels, add replacing them into the cost of purchase. It's going to be a $200 mat before I know it... Manduka eKO 85-Inch 5mm Yoga Mat

The ec0-mat just make me feel guilty-free carrying it around. It grip very well, and I'm loving practicing my Yoga on this beautiful mat. It's quite stink at first, i had it un-rolled indoor for a week to make the rubber smell go faster. The Mat still heavier than other brand, but i can't find this size mat anywhere else....

The picture shows a two colored mat with moss green on one side and black on the other. I liked this combo. It was actually moss green on both sides. If I had known this, I would have purchased a different color from the Manduka web site. Otherwise, I am very happy with the product.

Very nice mat. Great size and very well padded. My problem is that the mat "stinks". No, it is rancid. I used it once and had to drag it out of the yoga studio. I've since sprayed it with vinegar, scrubbed it with soap and left it in the rain to kill the odor. It's still there. Very harsh chemical odor. Not sure if it gets better but I'm hoping so.

Shipping was very fast.

I'm 5" 10" and wanted a yoga mat long enough for me. This mat has room to spare! I like the thickness even though it's a little heavy to cart around. The pattern reminds me of water running over grass - very soothing.

I know it will get better, but I've had to wash this mat three times to try and get it "sticky." I love the size and I know I'm going to build upper body strength by carrying it around. This mat weighs a lot.

I've had it for 3 weeks and only used it twice because I kept having to wash it to get it to stick. Just washed it yesterday, it's in my bag so we'll see.

The size and thickness makes for a comfortable workout session. I'm not dissapointed at all with this product, but the downfalls for some might be that it's a bit heavy and a little too big. It's definitely too big for the the bag I had, so I think I'm going to have to buy a new one. It also has the odor others have mentioned in their reviews. Nothing I've found too bad or distracting. It's perfect for leaving in your home. I think this will last much longer than most mats (not that I've personally had a mat wear out on me). - Eco-sports - Best Yoga Mat On The Market - Manduka Yoga Mat - Yoga'

Editors Of Woodworkers Journal - table saw, editors of woodworkers journal

I am going to assume that the individual who wrote the only other review (so far) has not tried to build one of the fixtures or jigs depicted in the book. While most of the projects certainly look like great things to build for your home workshop I have found, as I build the Precision Crosscutting Jig, a bunch of inaccuracies. Measurements and dimensions given in the Technical Drawings don't match what is either pictured or what is explained in text elsewhere. In one instance "5/16" should actually read "5/8" which is quite a discrepancy. Another gives the thickness of one of the fences as 11/16" when, from the picture, it looks more like 1 1/2". One of the most blaring errors is the measurements of the placement of a hole that is WAAAAAY off. I don't even know where they came up with the numbers for that one. If I had actually drilled the hole where they told me to drill it the piece would have been ruined. Glad I double checked it.

Here are some of my other observations/suggestions:

-In the materials list it would be nice to know what material each item is. Hardwood? Plywood? Plastic? As it is now you have to search through the text of the article to figure it out.

-A list of suppliers for some of the more specialized items would help as Home Depot doesn't carry a lot of what they want you to use.

So, while the projects all look great and I'm looking forward to building quite a few of them I am going to have to double check and scrutinize the measurements of each item in the materials list as the inaccuracies have been so prevalent on the very first one I've tried, who knows what the rest hold?

The publishers should really go through this book, fix the problems and re-publish. It's worth it. Jigs & Fixtures for the Table Saw & Router (The Best of Woodworker's Journal series)

This book provides clear instructions and excellent photography enabling the average home handyman to construct these valuable items .

The projects are good for increasing accuracy and repeatability of work and improving safety in machine useage.

An excellent reference.

This book show you plans to build router tables and saw. Great pictures and plan details. Great and high quality tables to build!

Also keep in mind that if you would like to build a great table, you may need to buy kit's ...

Nearly thirty projects and instructions on how to make jigs and fixtures for safer and faster woodworking are packed into Jigs & Fixtures For the Table Saw & Router, a guide which uses the experience of the editors of Woodworker's Journal for a range of innovative projects. From technical drawings and easy step-by-step instructions complete with materials lists to color photos throughout, homeowners who have a woodshop will find this an excellent - and essential - guide, as will libraries catering to home crafters and do-it-yourself patrons.

I have bought this guide set for my Hitachi M12VC fixed base router and it fits perfectly!. But that is not all, I also have a Makita SSP MRP100 plunge router(looks like is the same than Maktec MT360), I was not planed to use these guides with this other router but I have used the provided adaptor and, by my surprise, also fits perfectly! I am very happy whit this product, very solid construction. It feels like will last for very long time and also for a very good price. - Table Saw - Editors Of Woodworkers Journal - Woodworking Routing - Fixtures'

Professional - luxury lane, peacoat

Great Jacket. Looks solid and very nice for it's price. I'm 5'11, 185 lbs, and an athletic build and I bought a Large. It is a bit big on me, but i still like it. So a medium might be perfect if you are looking for a tighter fit. BGSD Men's Wool Blend Pea Coat - Black Medium

I ordered the pea coat for my son. The coat came a day ahead of schedule and that's already a bonus. Amazing coat, nice look, looks great on him and no kidding people stop him in the street / sidewalk and at the mall to compliment him on his coat. If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I'd never believe it. Fits great, looks great, goes with everything!, what's not to like?

Maggie Smith

I was searching for a good priced Pea Coat on Amazon and wanted something stylish and warm. Let me tell you this is the coat, I read all the reviews and everything positive about the coat is true, a word of caution though the sizes due in fact run big as mentioned in nearly every comment. I am 5'11", 200lbs and the Medium size fits perfectly. Front pockets are nice and deep, the wool is very soft and with a good weight to it and has kept me very warm during this winter. Seller ships fast, got a shipping confirmation within a day after ordering and received less than a week later with Super Saving shipping option.

You won't go wrong with this coat!

Great fitting coat thats plenty warm and not so heavy it pulls on your neck, doesnt buch up in the car either. I'm 6' 215 lbs and suggest the XL if you want to layer a sweater or hoodie under it. The coat has lots of pockets and looks great. You get way more coat than what you pay for!

Although I've only had this coat for one day, it seems to be a very nice coat. Especially for the price. It was 35 degrees out this morning when I left for work and the coat definitely kept me warm. As for the sizing that so many have mentioned on here, it's true. I'm 6'1" 215 lbs. (with the remnants of a somewhat athletic build still there). I ordered the large and it fits perfectly. Normally I would have ordered an XL. The XL would have been way too big in this case I think. I've tried it on while wearing a sweater, while wearing a lighter weight shirt, and then tried it on while wearing a t-shirt and hoodie. It fit great in all scenarios. The material is just as I expected it to be -- like any other wool coat (blend) I've ever seen or had. It's nice in my opinion. It has lots of pockets, I believe 4 on the inside and 2 on the outside. Overall it looks and feels really nice. The shipping was great too. It came a day earlier than what I was originally told. Not sure if me being an Amazon Prime member had anything to do with that or not though. Either way, from the day of order until the day it arrived, it only took 3 days. I would definitely recommend this coat.

I am in the military stationed in the Tokyo, Japan area and this fall and winter I had to upgrade and get a new winter coat because the weather has definately gotten colder than past winters. I am an avid amazon customer due to being 6ft tall and about 250 and muscular, finding clothes, shoes and other items are next to impossible to find in Japan. I chose this pea coat on looks and price. When I got it in the mail I was totally happy with my purchase. The coat fits well for my size, has a great look that can go with anything, and price tag of under 100 USD it's great. And more importantly, it knocks the cold out when going around the Tokyo area where standing and waiting for the subways and trains you need a good coat to combat the cold! I am very pleased with my purchase.

Awesome! First off it arrived two days ahead of the earliest estimated arrival date. The coat itself is great. It's pretty heavy and very warm. I'm 6'3", 180lbs and ordered a large which fits perfect. Because of the sleeve length I wouldn't want it a centimeter smaller.

Well as you've noticed this company rocks, it took a little longer than i thought to be shipped but arrived just on time.

perfect, every stitch to perfection. This thing will raise your body temperature quite a bit, and it is quite comfortable.

I bought it for my first quarter at Clark college, and its awesome. Goes with many styles, and is both fashionable, and functional.

Great Mens Pea Coat :)

PS: Im 6', athletic build and the medium one fit me to a tee.

they run a little larger than most.

so one size down could be good.

They will comp shipping if it doesen't fit just right too. - Luxury Lane - Peacoat - Peacoats - Wool'

Ergonomic Keyboard - keyboard, ergonomic keyboard

Yuck, this mouse is just not good enough.

Pros:

-Five buttons

-Right handed

Cons:

-It's super-light. It must be as light as they could possibly make it. I imagine that it will hold together, but there is a real lack of inertia. It feels like a balloon when you pick it up.

-The click sounds are a little louder than my other mice... but the real problem is that the clicks ring hollow and at a lower pitch. It's a little annoying and seems cheap. My other mice have sounded like tapping on a piece of glass with a fingernail. This is somewhere between that and tapping on wood.

-The back button is nice and long so anyone can reach it... but the forward button is far forwards and I have to reposition my palm to reach it. Note I have big hands so it can only be worse if yours are smaller.

I think this will be an OK mouse when the price comes down to $15-20. Cosmetically it looks like an update of the excellent IntelliMouse Explorer series... but it feels like a basic Wheel Mouse Optical in the hand. Just not good enough. Microsoft Comfort Mouse 6000 (S7J-00001)

I liked the look of the mouse design when Microsoft announced it a few months back, and ordered one as soon as it was available. Given the price point I expected a more substantial mouse, but it fell somewhat short of my expectations.

Cons:

- The tactile quality of the mouse feels cheap with a very slippery finish. It's just a basic hard plastic, without a textured finish.

- Clicking is quite loud and it seems harder than most mice to depress the right and left mouse buttons. This is probably due to the basic, stiff hard plastic used. It's not ridiculous, but it seems like a chore to depress the two main buttons.

- The mouse is EXTREMELY light. I think most people would like more weight to their mouse, for a more controlled feel to the movement.

- The glide pads are not nearly slippery enough, and moving the mouse seems sluggish, even considering the light weight of the mouse. They seemed to cheap out on this material as well.

- The center scroll wheel resistance is a little too light for my liking. I also find that depressing the wheel for the scroll wheel 'click' is a bit too easy, and it doesn't depress deeply enough for a good responsive / confirmative feel. I'm an AutoCAD user, so the scroll wheel click for panning inside that program is something I've very picky about. Also, in web browsers and spreadsheets (to name a couple examples), scrolling using the depressed center wheel with mouse movement (for fast scrolling, instead of rotating the scroll wheel for slower, more controlled scrolling) also seems problematic - you can't find a sweet spot; the scrolling is either super slow or lightning fast.

Pros:

- The shape of the mouse is quite nice, if you neglect the tactile feel of the material.

- The side buttons have a good, responsive feel, with the perfect amount of click resistance. However, those people with smaller hands will definitely have problems reaching the 'forward' side button. I'm just over 6 ft. tall with big hands, and my thumb is just barely long enough to hit the forward button without moving my entire hand off the mouse.

- The scroll wheel has no 'side scroll' function, which is an absolute requirement for me. If a scroll wheel has side scroll built in, it makes engaging the scroll wheel click unreliable, which is unacceptable for use in many programs (especially AutoCAD).

Prior to writing the text for this review, I had selected 3 stars. However, stacking up all the pros and cons, I changed my mind and now give it only 2 stars. If you're looking for an all-around great mouse, I'd recommend the Logitech MX 518 - I've been using one for years, and it checks all the right boxes for me. I do like the physical shape of the Comfort Mouse 6000 a bit better than the MX 518 (it seems a bit more ergonomic), but given all the other considerations, I've haven't been able to find a mouse I like better.

Nothing feels as precise as a good wired mouse. And nobody does them better than Microsoft. This one feels awesome in the hand and just does not call attention to itself because it just does what it's supposed to. Great device at a great price. Not Recommended - camping stove, portable burner

I was under the assumption that the fuel that one sees at the big-box stores for camping would be butane. Not so.

After finding fuel for this stove at a local hardware store (as an aside, it was much cheaper than the stove fuel found at the big box stores, and lasts just as long), we took this stove camping. Nice, compact design and quick cooldown are definite bonuses to this item. I especially like the very easy turn-knob ignition and flame control.

The only caveat is that it does not have a wind guard. If it is windy it takes quite a while to cook food or boil water. I rigged a wind guard out of a box covered with aluminum foil and it worked wonders. I am planning on making one out of metal that is foldable so I can pack it along with the stove.

Overall, nice stove. Portable Butane Gas Camp Stove Camping Burner Range

I bought this stove at a local Asian foods market for 12 bucks. The fuel was well priced there too. While a windguard, as another reviewer mentioned, would have been great for the camping folks, this stove is perfect as a back-up method to heat food up during an electrical outage if a big storm comes your way. Given the economical price, it's a good thing to have around, with a couple of butane bottles, just in case....

One of the store employees showed me how to use it. When the fuel bottle is in place correctly in the stove it is releasing butane. Since this is the case, it is highly recommended that you take the butane bottle out of the stove when you are not actively using it.

As someone that has been an avid camper for many years, I find this stove to work very well for camping. It is lightweight, has a nice case, has a very uniform flame, and is economical to use.

It can also be used as a warmer for potluck and other buffet type applications.

It's cheap and functional .... what else do you need to say?

Initially, I wanted to purchase a propane camper type of heating stove. But, after Hurricane Ike in 2008, didn't have much choice.

This unit worked surprisingly well. Easy to operate, and, whereas I was concerned about wind blowing out the flame (no wind guard), the butane was powerful enough to handle mild wind.

Butane canisters were also inexpensive. Cooked several meals on less than one canister!

Comes with lightweight plastic case. A bit too big and not rugged enough for a backpack camper. But perfect for a car camper or picner.

For the price, this is hard to beat.

Several years I bought one of these stoves for use during an emergency (we live in earthquake country). Recently we decided to do some remodeling and our kitchen was out for a month. The stove let us cook breakfast everyday and did a great job. Never failed to light and one can of fuel lasted the entire month. Found fuel at ACE Hardware. Bought two units for friends who saw ours and wanted one. Both new units fired up with no problems. Not the most rugged construction so might not be the best camp stove but is great for use in the home (or boat, cabin, etc).

We bought this burner to take on vacation. We used it nearly every day--whether camping or staying in a hotel. It was easy to use. It was cool enough to pack up after breakfast. The carrying case kept it protected and kept all the parts in one place--important for us. The canisters are available at a couple of specialty markets in my area. But I bought a multipack of canisters from Amazon as part of a package deal. I was glad I did, because I wouldn't have known what to look for otherwise. I highly recommend this burner.

I travel a lot( drive a semi),and need to heat food. I have many 12 volt coffee makes, 12 v heating pots.I wait for 1 hour for a 12v pot of luke warm coffee. This stove will perk 8 cups of coffee, in 5 minutes flat, heat soup in 3 minutes.I use in out side of my truck and works great.

I love to cook but have an electric stove in my home. Electric stoves are fine for most things but not if you are making a roux or most sauces. The burners of electric stoves don't respond to rapid temperature changes so I use to try working off of two or three burners at a time so I wouldn't burn my sauce. This little stove is great because the flame is so responsive I am able to create perfect sauces and roux every time! Also I live in hurricane country and after not having power for three weeks after Katrina I make sure I have alternate cooking sources. I also took it on a several camping trips and it worked great but would recommend a wind shield if the wind is too high.

I got this stove for my camping trip to Grand Canyon. If you order it, go ahead and order the butane from the same seller, because it's really hard to find (at least it was for me).

The stove works like a charm. It burns nice and hot. When there was wind, I used the carrying case it comes in as a wind shield. Water boiled in mere minutes. I cooked great meals on it. The butane cans last a very reasonable amount of time. The stove cleans up nicely.

Since the trip, I've also used it to make crepes at an indoor event, and will use it for such occasions again and again - love it!! Very easy to use, too.

My brother-in-law and I fish several times at the pond on his farm, and we like to cook our catch while enjoying the outdoors. He had one burner that he had purchased a couple of years ago, but we fouond we could use another one to help speed up with the coffee, the fish, the potatoes, etc. I have one for home just in case we lose power, so I can fix coffee, soup, eggs, etc while we are without power... it happens here a lot since AEP loses power any time a storm blows in. - Camp Stoves - Portable Burner - Camp Stove - Camping Stove'

40 Inch Hdtv - samsung lcd, samsung

I did a lot of research for TV's in this price range. I've bought a few plasmas and LCD's previously, and this TV blows them all away. This is a great price point, size and brand name TV. You can't go wrong really, you will most certainly be satisfied. The 120hz setting on Clear works best, otherwise gives your TV content a weird soap opera look, so either set it to Clear or turn it off. This LCD works great with a PS3 also, and supports 1080p/24hz resolution, so when you watch blurays, the picture is crystal clear. If you experience any input lag when playing games (delay from button press to action on screen), try setting the source name of your PS3 to PC, it seems to fix that issue pretty well.

The sound on this TV is very robust and clear, although when watching blurays I have to turn it up to hear dialogs, which then makes action sequences really loud, but it's not a big deal.

The design of this TV is just awesome. It has the glass bezel and gloss table top, definitely one of the best looking TV's that I've ever seen. The stand also swivels, which is something every TV should have, but usually don't.

The remote works well, and is very sturdy. The onscreen menus are very clear and even provide descriptions to most of the settings so you don't need to try and figure out what certain settings do.

Its a pretty thin and light panel too, so if your mounting it, it should stay pretty flat on the wall.

I've got nothing but positives to say about this set, its worth every penny, and I'm usually very critical about electronics, but I'd recommend this LCD to anyone. It doesn't look that great out of the box, but after a week of playing with the color settings, I think the picture has been perfected.

UPDATE

Here are my picture settings for anyone that needs a little help getting started

Mode: Standard

Backlight: 14

Contrast: 80

Brightness: 40

Sharpness: 20

Color: 51

Tint: G48/R52

Eco Solution: all off

Edge Enhancement: off

Digital Noise Filter: Low (though I'm sure auto is about the same)

MPEG Noise: Low

Color Tone: Normal (some people seem to like the Warm settings)

Auto Motion Plus 120HZ: Off (I didn't really like this feature)

If you have any adjustments to these, let me know Samsung LN40C630 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV (Black)

I have literally been following the prices of HDTV's for about a year now, and there is no better time for an upgrade! Samsung just released their new "C" series, and somehow they are remarkably less expensive than their pre-existing models! The majority of the websites are selling this HDTV for $800+, Amazon's lower-than-low price is less than the rest of the market. I purchased it here on Amazon, and received my HDTV in 5 days (could have been 4 days, but I had school all day). CEVA did the shipping for my HDTV, which I was wary at first because I have only dealt with UPS and Fedex. However, CEVA provided excellent customer service as they did contact me and I verbally specified a delivery time. Packaging was very efficient, and surprisingly light too!

For those who prefer using TV stands, you do have to assemble it on your own. Extremely easy to assemble though! All it took was 9 screws (already in the box) and I recommend using a power-screwdriver. Directions said it required two people, I did it solo! I was just eager to hook up my PS3 via HDMI cable and experience the wonderful world of 1080P.

Okay, now for the specifics and why this HDTV deserves a spot in your living room - As I mentioned before, right up to my purchase I extensively followed the quality and price of several HDTVs. The Samsungs 530, 550, 630, 650. The Samsung 630 is the best deal for your money, here's why: The 5 series is less expensive, but only offers refresh times of 60Hz as compared to the 630 which is 120Hz. This is a big difference, and means that your HDTV with 120Hz displays at least twice as many frames-per-second which makes movies, not only sports, very fluid and more realistic. Another difference is the response time, where as the 5 series has a 6ms response time, the 6 series has a 4ms response time. And if you are a gamer, a difference of 2ms can make a big difference. So why the Samsung 630 and not the 650? The only difference now is the contrast ratio. The 630 comes with a 80,000:1 contrast ratio which in my opinion, still creates an extraordinary depth to the display. TV contrast ratio's are starting to become stable around the 70,000 - 100,000 range (or much higher for LEDs). Whereas, 3 years ago the highest was around 10,000 but kept constantly rising. So this HDTV is very much future proof. Yes, the 650 has a higher contrast ratio, but is it worth the extra $200 something dollars?

All in all, if you're not worried about price, go all out and purchase a LED HDTV. But if you want to shop smart, this HDTV is the way to go.

Up until two weeks ago, I loved this TV. I upgraded from a 32 inch non-HD/non-flat screen TV. The picture quality is wonderful, the sound was really good, but I hooked it up to a Yamaha receiver anyway.

Here's what happened. A little over two weeks ago we had been watching the TV, and then left to go outside to do some yard work. After dinner we decided to watch a movie so I turned on the TV. Nothing. Usually when a Samsung TV is off, there is a small red light. When you turn it on, the picture emerges and the little red light goes off. No red light. I unplugged the TV from the power supply and plugged it directly into an outlet (the DVD was on the same power strip and was working). Then I took the power cord off and went into the kitchen and plugged it into the little Samsung TV in there. Worked great. Dang. I pulled out the TV information and the TV was still under warranty. I called Samsung.

After just a few seconds on hold a real person answered and I explained the dead power supply problem. She told me somebody would call me in three to five working days to arrange for the repair. WHAT? Three to five days just to talk to somebody to schedule a repair???? NINE days later somebody finally called and said that my 'ticket' would be sent to troubleshooting. WHAT? After nine days, still no appointment for repair???? On day twelve I got a call from a repair guy from a local business contracted to do the repair, and he asked me if the part, the power supply, had come yet. WHAT? What part? I called Samsung again and they gave me the number of GURU, the company they contract to do their repairs, and the company that subcontracts to other local repair services. I now realize that I'm twice-removed from Samsung and NOBODY is coordinating this repair but ME.

I call GURU again after two weeks, and the part has not yet been ordered!!!!! Two weeks after my initial call and the part isn't ordered yet???? WHY NOT? Nobody knew why it wasn't ordered by GURU so they immediately blamed Samsung. Now I'm thinking Samsung is stalling until the warranty runs out, which will happen in about two weeks. Why in the world would there have to be so many layers of uncoordinated mayhem to do a simple swap of a power supply? I'm guessing sometime within the next month or two somebody will fix this TV, and I'm guessing it will be about a 15 minute job.

When the TV worked we loved it. The picture quality was great and the sound was pretty good as well. It has nice features that were pretty easy to figure out and setup. However, would I buy another one? Probably not. - 40 Inch Hdtv - 120hz - Samsung - Samsung Lcd'

Weight Maintenance - diet, weight management

I've been trying to get in shape and lose weight for a couple of years now without being consistent. I heard about this game from my sister and organized a competition with my family - we're all headed to Maui in a couple of months so now we truly have a reason to get in shape. We're at the beginning of week 3 and I have already seen a difference on the scale, in my energy, and in my attitude. The rules they set for eating and exercise are probably things you already know but can't find motivation to follow through with - what the GAME ON! game provides is motivation. Also, they allow a meal off, a day off, and 100 calories a day of whatever you want, so you don't feel like you are in jail or missing out too much.

Changes:

-I look forward to my 5-a-day "sanctioned meals" and now that I'm in the habit of doing this consistently (which I never would've done on my own, without a team and competition), I'm going to keep this up as a lifestyle change.

-I will make sure I get my exercise in so I don't let my team down - whether it's doing an exercise DVD video at 11 PM at night or making myself go for a run when I don't really feel like it. If I was only going to affect myself by not exercising, chances are I'd probably skip working out. It makes a major difference to have teammates counting on you.

-Since everyone is forced to "communicate", we send group emails out and they are all very motivating, it's great to hear everyone brag about their accomplishments and stuggles, and it's a forum to brag about what you've done and feel good about you've accomplished.

-The competition gives me motivation to set myself up for success by shopping once a week and only buying sanctioned foods. No more potato chips in my grocery cart!

Failing to plan is planning to fail! This will work for you if you are organized, like competition, and can work within structure, rules, games etc. If you're anti any of these things, it most likely won't work for you.

Regarding the swearing she uses in the book, my friends and I talk like truck drivers so it didn't bother me at all. In fact, to me, her "language" makes perfect sense ;)

Good luck!

P.S. If you'd like me to email you a copy of the scoreboard we're using, comment on this review that you'd like one and I'll shoot it over to you. The Game On! Diet: Kick Your Friend's Butt While Shrinking Your Own

I just finished reading this book, and my friends and family are planning on starting this diet next week. I am really excited. The book is laid out in a way that is very accessible and clear. As for how well the diet actually works, I don't know. I'll let you know in five weeks.

* * * * *

Well, we did it, and I lost 6 and a half pounds in 4 weeks. I think that is pretty good since I was already within a healthy range, and was just wanting to lose a few pounds and firm up. My husband - who was my team member lost more than 15 lbs. Our last day of competition was 4 days ago, and I have to admit that I was ready for the game to be over. I was really getting tired of giving up my bad habit (I couldn't leave dishes in the sink over night) and making sure I got 7 hours of sleep a night. My husband and I took two days off from exercising and from watching what we ate, but after that we both got back to it. We both still drinking 3 liters of water a day, exercising for at least 20 minutes a day, and eating 5 small, balanced meals a day. Hopefully, we'll continue to lose the last little bit of weight that we have to lose and see the amazing changes in our bodies. My arms look great and my calves are more defined than they have been in years.

I think this is a really fun way to lose weight, and it teaches you a lot of great healthy habits. We're planning on getting another game together before the holidays to reinforce all that we've learned before being bombarded with holiday treats.

Two suggestions that I would have for anyone who wants to get their own game together would be not to start your game on a Sunday or Monday and to try and not travel while you are playing the game. You will want to take your meals off one the weekends, but if you have to weigh in on Sunday morning, it is really hard to do it. You're weight will be up just because of all the extra sodium in restaurant food. And trying to travel and keep up with the diet is really hard. First of all, if you are going to be in the car for any length of time, you don't want to be pounding water because you will have to stop and pee a million times. Plus, trying to eat healthily from a convenience store can be a challenge. It isn't impossible, but it is harder than eating at home.

If you are thinking about doing this diet, I say go for it. What do you have to lose, except some weight?

This book is fun and easy to read. Some of the language in this book is pretty nasty so it is definitely not a book for kids. It does have lots of good information in it and it is a blast to play. If you are looking for a way to lose weight while having a good time doing it this book is for you. I gave it only four stars because I thought the book didn't need the nasty words to get the point across.

This is a book full of healthy eating tips--and a lot of humor! It cuts to the chase on telling you how to eat from the different food groups, and even gives you 100 calories every day of anything you want! Plus you GET a day off and one meal off a week--just try to beat that, it's actually allowed and you lose weight! I don't play against other people point wise, just try to do better myself each week. I've been eating healthy for three weeks now and have noticed a big difference in my energy level, I also sleep better at night. It is sometimes hard to space the meals 2-4 hours apart-it definately takes some planning, but it is worth it as I never feel hungry and my blood sugar stays even. I'm very happy with the book--the only reason I gave it four stars vs. five is due to some of the language was uncalled for--I feel the author could have gotten the same point across w/o being so raw at times. - Diet - Weight Management - Eating Healthy - Diets'

Metal Banded - tachymeter, carrera

I purchased my Tag Carrera (Automatic Chronograph Day-Date) at Little Switzerland (authorized dealer) on 6/3/10 while on vacation in Aruba. I've had problems with it ever since. On the plane ride home I noticed two problems: 1.) the crown had imperfections in it. Not all of the adhesive (black filling) took to the crown - you could see "air pockets" under the black filling, and 2.) the stop watch did not accurately measure an hour as a result of the hour stopwatch hand not sitting exactly at the zero or 12 o'clock position (the hand doesn't reset properly). The hand sits a full hand in front of the zero or 12 o'clock position, which results in the stopwatch measuring an hour before an hour has past. I've tested the watch multiple times. The watch is close to being accurate on some occasions, but is significantly off on others (> 15 minutes per hour).

I contacted Little Switzerland and they said I would have to send my watch to the Tag Service Center in New Jersey (ok, fine). I sent the watch and received it back about a month later. Upon inspection, the back of the case was completely scratched. It appeared as though someone had used a wrong tool or a tool that did not properly fit, as the majority of the scratches were concentrated around the grooves in the back of the case (where a customized tool would fit to open the case). I immediately called the NJ Service Center. I took pictures and emailed them to the Service Rep I spoke to per her request. To make matters worse, the stop watch issue was not corrected. They asked me to return the watch so they could see the scratches for themselves. I had to argue with them before they would cover the shipping costs to re-send it.

I sent the watch back to NJ for them to once again correct the original time issue with the stop watch and to have the new scratches taken care of.

Upon receipt and inspection by Tag, they called me and said that there was no way the scratches were from them. I was speechless. Never did I think Tag would deny responsibility for the damage that they did to my NEW watch. Long story short, they finally offered to pay to have the case refurbished. Before any work was performed (internally for the stop watch issue) I spoke to a Technician regarding the stop watch issue. I talked her though the issue (while my watch was in her hands) and she agreed with my assessment and that there was an issue with the stop watch hour hand not resetting/measuring time properly. She assured me that the issue would definitely be resolved this time.

I received my watch back (for the 2nd time) 3 weeks later - on 8/19/10. The original stop watch issue has STILL NOT been CORRECTED, and not all of the scratches were able to be buffed out (goes to show you how deep some of the scratches were). I called Tag and spoke to the same Technician who assured me the issue would be resolved the 2nd time. She's now claiming that it must be a "human mechanical" issue on my part as to why the stop watch hour hand isn't properly resetting and accurately measuring time.

In short, I've had the watch for approximately 3 months (2 of those months Tag has had it at their service center "fixing" it). I cannot begin to express how dissatisfied I am with Tag's Customer Service, Quality Control and the watch itself - How does a "precision timepiece" of this value ever leave the warehouse with these types of problems?!? I would never think of buying another Tag watch again. Do yourself a favor and take this watch (or any Tag) off of your list if you're in the market to buy. TAG Heuer Men's CV2A10.BA0796 Carrera Automatic Chronograph Watch

I really like TAG Carrera automatic Chronograph Watch, but before I take it.I must make sure how good it is and how could I buy the cheapest one. Most important how quality it is,who knows please telling me! - Carrera - Metal Banded - Tachymeter - Chronograph'

Womens Leggings

If you are familiar with AA products then you know what to expect from these leggings. They feel like thin t-shirt material, which was what I wanted; something thicker than tights but not too hot for spring/summer. I am of medium height, and it was a tiny bit long but nothing noticable. The order/shipping went fine, this dealer sent the real AA stuff so I am satisfied with this purchase overall. American Manufactured Cotton Spandex Jersey Legging - Black M

Exactly what I wanted. Very black, to the ankle. I am tall, so finding leggings long enough is usually a challenge.

Also appreciate that these are just the right thickness so I don't feel overexposed during my workout sessions.

Comfort level is excellent as well.

Highly recommend these leggings. Love American Apparel!

I ordered a medium 10 days ago, and got them this morning. I took them straight home and tried them on...and they were absolutely perfect! I'm only 5'3" but the came to the ankle without bunching and didn't go too high, they sat just under my belly button. They're comfortable, and don't leave lines underneath other clothing. I love 'em!

American Apparel cotton/spandex leggings are some of my favorites. Thick enough where they are not transparent but not too thick. Super soft, comfortable, various colors, they have that nice high waist so they don't slide down when bending over or anything. High quality, like that they are made in the U.S. so sweatshop-free and fair wages (despite the fact that Dov Charney, founder of American Apparel seems to be a bit of a pervert)... as a serious yoga practitioner who lives in spandex leggings, I love these because I can wear them teaching all day and then put on a nice long flowing top and boots to go out at night. Highly recommended.

these leggings fit perfectly for my legs!! And they're super comfortable~i'm glad i chose the right size~~they fit so well~~~it's totally worth the money, i wear them every day. The size do run a little large, so it's best to buy a smaller size. The shipping was fast, too! it only took three days, including a weekend! Totally recommend this product~~

These leggings are thick and smooth, perfect for this winter's oversized sweaters, leggings, with boots look. However, they definitely run large. I am 5'9" and 140lbs, and ordered a large for my height. However, I definitely should have ordered a medium, they are quite big for me in the waist/inseam area.

These are the best leggings I have bought. The quality is superior and they seem much more durable/less likely to stretch or rip than the others I've purchased in the past. I'm happy to support American Apparel too!

My two daughters work in these at their jobs, and I think we have ordered about 20 or 25 pairs. Light for the summer, heavy enough for the winter, good quality, plenty of colors. good price, they are hard to find now in the stores.'

I ordered this in a size 4 and was dissapointed when it came to find out that the waist is tailored in very small and tight above the belly button giving you this long looking back end. Sitting in these is not very comfortable as the waist is too high.

I really like the material and the quality of the fabric though and wish there was a low rise waist on this. I don't think I'll wear it much because of this. At 24 I don't want to be looking like an old women in these. Cloudveil Women's Cool Convertible Pant,Stone,4 - Womens'
