Office Supply - fountain, pen

This is a good fountain pen. I prefer this to the Platinum Preppy, and the medium nib is nice. It's more between a fine and medium(not too thick, but the ink flows easily). I'd prefer if I could choose the color, however it seems that perhaps if the order is for a guy's name it is green, and a girl's name is pink. It takes universal ink cartridges and converters which makes using this pen much simpler, and the ink flows nicely. I have more expensive fountain pens, and the biggest difference is appearance; the nib writes nicely. If that is what matters to you, you'll be happy with this student fountain pen! Colors are cheerful, and the pen is comfortable too. Maped Freewriter Fountain Pen, Refillable, Colors May Vary (222611)

This fountain pen showed up today, one day before the first estimated delivery date based on standard shipping. I got the pink one, although personally I think it's more of a bright plum color... anyway, as a fountain pen novice I was very happy with my purchase!

It's true that most universal ink cartridges and converters will fit in this pen. It comes with two small cartridges (one with black ink, the other is fake and used to fill the space), both of which were almost identical to the converter that came with a Manuscript calligraphy fountain pen set I bought which unfortunately didn't work out for me. All I did was fill the converter with my chosen ink, stick it in the pen, and it began writing almost immediately with no pauses in ink flow. I agree that this pen is between fine and medium rather than just medium, the lines I get are the same as an ultra fine tip Sharpie's lines. One side of the nib is curved so I had little to no friction when writing in random directions. I like the design, it's easy to hold, and the cap fits securely. I've only had it for a few hours now, but the plastic appears to be durable and I have no worries about a German steel nib. I used it to write several notes today with no problems, but make sure you put the cap back on if you don't plan on using it for another minute or so because my ink dried quickly. All it took was 2-3 small strokes for it to work again though, so for me that's not a serious complaint.

I intend to use this for writing and inking my drawings, and I'd definitely buy it again if I needed a second one or a replacement.

I received this fountain pen a couple of weeks ago, well before the promised delivery time BTW. For an inexpensive pen this one is great. I use it for general writing/drawing and it does well. I have more expensive pens that write much better but for an everyday pen or a beginner this pen does the trick.

too about a week to get here, looks like a kids pen, don't really care for the color pink, but I couldn't choose the color - I do use this pen daily at work and home though, and works well.! Good bargain for the price... Can't really complain - just wish it weren't pink!! LOL - Fountain Pen - Bulow - Fountain - Pen'

Digital Camera Memory - sandisk, memory card

Standard SD and SDHC cards look identical in size and shape, only SDHC-compatible products will be able to accept the new SDHC cards. SanDisk differentiates its new cards with the new SDHC logo on the card and retail package.

Now my web research finds that at the time of its release Wes Brewer, vice president of consumer product marketing at SanDisk, said, "In order to provide the easiest and most compatible solution for 4GB and larger capacity SDHC cards in the market, SanDisk chose to bundle its new MicroMate USB 2.0 SD/SDHC compatible card reader, which normally retails for $19.99, with this new card."

Note this deal does not include a reader.

In my case the device I bought it for can read it. Without the dedicated reader my year old HP computer cannot . Sandisk 4GB Secure Digital SD HC Memory Card (SDSDB-4096, BULK, No Reader)

This is a must for loading music to listen to on my Palm TX. But BEWARE of eek Technoligies and buying at this price. They wanted $13.20 for shipping a 2 oz memory card? Buy from someone else even if it is a few dollars more and pay reasonable shipping rates. Don't be fooled by their cheap price they make it up 2x in shippoing charges. When I saw it I cancelled my order..

I played around with the prices on this and found out several things. If I order this item, $11 in shipping costs is added by the third party supplier! If I get the 2G version, even two of them, those qualify for free shipping from Amazon and come out much cheaper. So check your prices on these before ordering. My hunch is that you can probably pick this 4G up cheaper at your local electronics/computer store...

It's nice to have 4GB in your camera and be able to take pictures at max resolution and not have to worry about running out of space. I've been using SanDisk cards for 6 years now and never had a single problem. Be warned however, if you have a somewhat older digital camera, it may not recognize a card of this size and the card will be useless. I don't know why they don't mention this in the product spec, hence the 4 stars. Check your camera's user manual for max memory capabilities, if any.

I purchased this card five months ago and used it without incident. I was happy with the amount of space on the card. Suddenly today, for no apparent reason, a message came up saying "memory card error". I cannot access the photos on my card with my external card reader. I cannot use the card in my camera. The photos on the card are lost, and that makes me quite sad.

Finding that this product does not work in my one year old Canon camera I contacted the company and was given a list of cameras which do support it. This list belongs on the product description at the Amazon site. Besides the nuisance, I'll be out the $4.50 shipping cost for shipping an item requiring .59 cents postage.

The Sandisk site says this disk is compatible, and the user manual for the Canon Powershot 590IS says the camera can use SD or SDHC memory cards, so I assumed this card would be compatible. It wasn't. The camera says "memory card locked!" even when the card is unlocked. I'm giving this a one star rating because everything I looked at says this card is compatible, but it wasn't. For the Sandisk compatiblity site (which, of course, recommends their most expensive 32 and 16G cards first), see http://www.sandisk.com/Compatibility/Device(8725)-Canon-PowerShot_A590_IS.aspx . I haven't found a site so far that specifically recommends one card over another for this model of camera.

BAIT AND SWITCH ALERT! I ordered traditional blue normal San Disk 4 gb disks as advertised here for christmas gifts like digital cameras and to use myself with my camera. As of ten minutes ago, the ABX Protech listing (here at amazon.com) displayed the blue san disk memory card that I always buy from Best Buy, which is not a bulk item, and comes with a usb and reader. However that is not what this company sent. ABX ProTech pulled a bait and switch, shipping an entirely different product, that does not work with my digital items.

BEWARE! If you order this, you will not get the Traditional Blue San Disk memory card that they advertise and what they send will not work with your regular electronic devices.

Particularly problematic is that the ad- which was up until a moment ago when I complained- showed the standard blue memory card, and now they have changed it. Luckily I printed copies of my order and took a print screen image of their ad from today showing how they advertise one item and shipped another.

Even more shady, there was no packing slip or invoice in the package and they charged enormous shipping fees ($15.00) for a tiny envelope package weighing less than 2 ounces that they mailed first class.

I have requested a full refund- including shipping and handling, but have not heard back. ABX Protech has a very restrictive and laborious refund policy under which you may not ship anything back until you receive a "return" number from them.

Avoid ABX protech at ALL COSTS!

This is a great addition to a digital camera if you shoot video clips.

Just make sure that the digital camera supports SD cards over 2Gb. You can usually be confident it will work if the device is labeled SD HC compliant (SD HC is the 4-32Gb standard). It may work in other devices (my Kodak camera is not labeled for SD HC but the card works.) - Digital Camera Memory - Sandisk - Sandisk 4gb - Memory Card'

under counter tv - under counter tv

This product has been fantastic. The picture and sound is as good or better than more expensive models I've seen. This is the largest screen I've seen for an under counter TV (15.6"). The TV is worth the price but having a DVD/CD player, AM/FM radio and the fact that the grandchildren can play video games on it, makes it worth much more. I strongly suggest this item if you spend as much time in the kitchen as we do. Coby KTFDVD1560 15.6-Inch Under-the-Cabinet DVD/CD Player Swivel Screen with Digital TV and AM/FM Radio

I was so excited to finally get a TV/CD-Player/Radio in the kitchen so we could have something playing while we cooked, cleaned, etc. However, this unit has a few quirks I do not like:

1. The magnets are insufficient to hold the screen in the upright position. As a result, it sags and I will have to add Velcro or something to keep it in place.

2. The screen pivots on a half-inch swivel made of plastic; I just know it's going to have a stress fracture one of these days.

3. The volume levels are disproportionate; setting 2 is too soft while setting 3 is too loud.

4. There is no 'mode' indicator on the main display, so if the screen is in the up position, you can't see which one the unit is in: CD/DVD, radio, TV, aux.

5. The clock is quite annoying; it's blinding in a dark room, and it also displays the seconds (always running, quite distracting).

Some of the pros include:

1. The price; the unit was relatively inexpensive.

2. The screen quality appears to be good, though if viewed from any angle other than straight on, it fades.

3. The mounting was relatively easy; though anything other than completely straight up-and-down drilling results in torque to the bolts.

4. The radio searches and finds local stations, so all you have to do to find your favorite is press the channel up or down.

5. The remote has a magnet, so you can store it on most anything metal; the fridge, the dishwasher, etc.

Overall, I think I should have gone with a higher-end model... but it's here, so I will enjoy it.

Installed the 15 inch Coby in the kitchen to sling the SD feed from the DVR, which is a coax connection on a fixed channel, so we're not using much of the tuner. The set works acceptably in this configuration, and the screen size is a plus. Lows include poor picture quality (fuzzy), poor sound reproduction, and am still having difficulties finding its code on the all-in-one remote. As a third TV so you don't have to turn up the one in the den, it's fine, and doing what it was intended for, and the price is fair.

I got exactly what I thought I would. A big, clear screen that moves easily to where I want it to be. Very easy to install as well.

Its a bit slow to turn on and to switch between DVD and radio functions. Seems odd in the day of modern electronics, but its only a mild annoyance. Overall a good product for the cost.

Okay folks, this isn't a 52 inch flat screen tv with 1080p resolution. This is a small 15 inch LCD tv that is meant for a kitchen and delivers all the features that you would want in a kitchen in a compact design. With that in mind, it is perfect. I ran my Insight cable to the tv and the picture is great. Obviously the digital channels that come in from cable look substantially better than the standard cable tv channels. It is like this with most digital LCD tvs though. WIth that said, the digital channels that I do have have a suprisingly really good picture. The FM and AM radios work flawlessly for me with clear channels coming in. The dvd player also worked fine with a clear picture. The remote control is indeed magnetic and is not the strongest magnet you are going to find. If you carefully place it on the fridge (not quickly throwing it on there) then it holds fine without sliding. The screen magnet is indeed a bit weak also. I will probably add a magnet to it to better secure the screen when it is placed up and not in use. The sound is fine for me. There are actually quite a few setting options on this unit that include picture setting (you can adjust a few picture settings such as contrast and brightness) although mine looked fine right out of the box. It also has an auto tuner for the tv that was able to search and find all of my cable stations once I plugged in the cable. I have not tried the tv with a standard tv antenna as I have access to cable tv in my kitchen and went that route.

BTW in terms of channel auto tuning--I read some reviews on another model made by COBY that people were not able to run the auto channel search after doing it the first time when you intitally set it up and the power would go out or you had to retune for whatever reason. You can run the auto scan anytime you want on this tv and it seems to work fine even with the power going out a few times with this tv.

There are not alot of options out there in terms of under-the-cabinet tvs and I did quite a bit of research before deciding to purchase this one. I settled on this one because the price was right and it had a large screen on it. I was somewhat turned off by all the negative reviews for most of the under-the-cabinet tvs but I am glad I decided to purchase this one as I am very happy with what I got. It looks really nice hanging in my kitchen and it doesn't take any space at all when folded up. I have only had the unit for a couple weeks so if I have any problems in the future I will be sure to update. But as of this moment, I would highly recommend this for anyone who has realistic expectations for a LCD tv that is truly meant for the kitchen. For an under-the-cabinet 15inch LCD tv/radio/dvd player for 200.00, I could not be more happy. I am enjoying it and suggest anyone on the fence to give it a try. - Under Counter Tv'

Action Thriller - action thriller, sherlock holmes

First of all, as of this writing, Amazon still states that this item is a three disc set, but this is not the case. The DVD and digital copy are included on the same disc, while a second disc contains the Blu-Ray version. This isn't an issue, of course, just a small clarification. Speaking of which, I've seen a significant number of complaints regarding the inclusion of the DVD/digital copy in the Blu-Ray version, with many complaining that they want neither and it's needlessly driving the cost up.

A simple comparison of this item against other Blu-Rays on Amazon proves this title costs no more than any other new release, and the DVD/digital copy is actually a very nice bonus for those who buy the film early. I, for instance, plan to loan out the DVD to friends who don't own Blu-Ray players. The digital copy is nice, I suppose, but I've never been bored enough to want to watch a film on my iPod or laptop. Besides which, like all digital copies, it expires a year from now. I'm actually glad it's included on the same disc as the DVD, because all other digital copies included on a separate disc I've ended up tossing out.

Upon loading the Blu-Ray into the player three trailers will run. This is, of course, typical practice. The irritating part is that the disc will not allow the user to access the menu from the trailers, and the user is forced to manually fast-forward through each trailer. A minor complaint, to be sure, but irritating nonetheless. The film runs 02:08:24 and the Blu-Ray includes ten bonus features (the DVD doesn't contain a single special feature). The included audio tracks and subtitles are in English, French, and Spanish. The first eight features are all collected in the "Focus Points" section and consist of eight 3-5 minute featurettes exploring a specific facet of the film (there is a "Play All" function included). Most of the titles are rather self-explanatory, but here's a complete rundown of the featurettes:

1) "Drawbridges & Doilies: Designing a Late Victorian London" (5:00) - This feature highlights how the production designers suffused life into their vision of Victorian London with an acute attention to detail.

2) "Not a Deerstalker Cap in Sight" (4:15) - This feature explains how the filmmakers decided to take the Holmes character back to his roots in the original Arthur Conan Doyle tales and compare the Downey interpretation against past cinematic versions of Holmes.

3) "Ba-ritsu: A Tutorial" (3:58) - This feature explores how the filmmakers blended various real-life martial arts into the fictional version featured in the film, along with explaining how Holmes was a former fighter well-versed in martial arts in the original Doyle stories.

4) "Elementary English: Perfecting Sherlock's Accent" (4:04) - This feature explores how American Downey refined his English accent for the film. Director Guy Ritchie observes that he preferred an American because it gives the Holmes character an "international" flavor.

5) "The One That Got Away" (3:44) - This feature delves a bit into the psyche of Holmes, particularly his stance on love and his relationships with women.

6) "Powers of Observation & Deduction" (4:01) - This features Lionel Wigram (writer & producer of "Sherlock Holmes") explaining why he was attracted to the project, along with what makes Holmes such an enduringly fascinating character.

7) "The Sherlockians" (3:03) - The feature explores the diehard, borderline obsessive Holmes fans who organize annual meetings to discuss Doyle's life and works.

8) "Future Past" (3:08) - This feature highlights how, with the aid of both sets and modern technology, the filmmakers were able to recreate the glory and grime of Victorian London.

The ninth feature is included in the "Behind the Movie" section and is called "Sherlock Holmes Reinvented" (14:06) - This is a more involving feature which functions as an extension of the other featurettes. The filmmakers discuss why they felt attracted to the project and how they desired to stay true to the source material, as opposed to the cinematic versions of the past.

The most celebrated special feature here, prominently featured in the television ads, is the "Maximum Movie Mode". This is a sort of interactive film commentary with director Ritchie (running slightly longer than the film itself) that includes picture-in-picture still images, behind the scenes videos, cast and crew interviews, technical details of the film, and of course Ritchie's commentary. It's this sort of feature that truly makes a Blu-Ray special, aside from the enhanced high-definition image, of course. A typical film commentary simply has the director talking over the film, which can be informative but distracting. The "Maximum Movie Mode" is a much more entertaining commentary that even includes the option for user interactivity.

The content of the film itself is highly subjective, particularly with a character as famed and revered as Sherlock Holmes, and I don't feel particularly compelled to add my thoughts. As a Blu-Ray release, however, this title is every bit as impressive as it should be. I particularly appreciate how the special features didn't just shed light on the filmmaking process, but spent ample time discussing Doyle's stories, the various interpretations of the Holmes character, and the lasting legacy of it all. I'm proud to include this film in my collection. Five easy stars. Sherlock Holmes [Blu-ray]

Whether or not this accurately portrays the Sherlock Holmes from the famous stories is unimportant, at least for me. I wanted to see a good, entertaining film, and that is exactly what I experienced. It is by no means a classic masterpiece, but it was certainly a fun ride. The plot is a tad on the choppy side, but it doesn't deter from whole experience.

The film works beautifully first and foremost because of the wonderful chemistry between Holmes and Watson. It felt pure and believable and watching them argue and bicker for almost the entire film was refreshing and amusing. Jude Law's Watson is the voice of reason and under all the sarcasm and berating, truly cares for his long-time friend. In my opinion, a perfectly cast role. Though I also loved Robert Downey Jr as Holmes, I felt that he muttered alot in the film and was at times hard to understand. But his physical presence saved the role and you can tell he put 100% into this part.

The scenery was gloomy and strangely beautiful, as were the period details, costumes, etc. Guy Ritchie did a fantastic job in reimagining the era and creating a sense of mystery tinged with a clever, comedic flair.

Sherlock Holmes contains enough action, mystery and comedy to keep just about anybody from being bored and would do well with multiple viewings. - Mystery - Action Thriller - Sherlock Holmes - Jude Law'

Apple Charger - macbook, macbook charger

I originally bought this as it was pictured with the "new magsafe 90 degree" design, but when I received it, the "old magsafe" style was what I got.

The seller refunded my money, and let me keep the adapter for my trouble and confusion! Great customer service!

The adapter itself works well, but behaves a bit differently than the original Apple one I have.

- When plugged in, or removed, the light on the tip stays lit green. It does show "amber" when charging, and "green" when fully charged (or disconnected).

- The dimensions of the brick are thicker than a stock item It appears to be the same WxH though.

- No Apple Embossing (obviously)

- The "duckhead" (Where the AC plug snaps in) is wider, to match the contour of the thicker brick, and uses polarized AC prongs (one wider than the other), requiring you to match your plug's orientation, whereas the matching prongs of Apple's adapter allow regular or "upside down" insertion to get around other AC adapters, which is especially helpful with surge protectors and power strips.

Overall it works very well, is well made (the cord seems more flexible, but stronger than the Apple one that splits and frays). I would reccomend this for anyone looking for an extra cord at a great price! Replacement 60W MagSafe Power Adapter for Apple MacBook Pro Charger

Initially, I was hesitant to buy one of these 3rd party power adapters after reading the horrible reviews about how some of the other adapters heated up so badly they melted the plastic down and some of which caught on fire. I must say, this adapter works great! The light is amber when charging and turns green when fully charged (just like the apple OEM adapter). One thing, the amber light does stay on even if you don't have it connected to the laptop...I guess this just lets you know the power is running through the adapter. You will know if your laptop is charging or not because the light turns green when the charger is first plugged into the laptop (then turns to amber once charging begins or stays green if the battery is at 100%), also the battery indicator on the taskbar tells you if the battery is charging or not. I have gone through one full charge cycle, it took about an hour to charge my battery from 0%-100% and the charger was NOT hot, barely warm to the touch at times not even warm at all. This charger has a few great safety features with an automatic overload cut-off to prevent the charger from overheating and melting the plastic or catching on fire. It does what it is supposed to do and serves as a perfect replacement for the original OEM charger, which goes for over $100. I don't have a single complaint about this product, hence the reason for the five star review. Also, I was able to use the extension cord from my OEM charger as this charger doesn't come with an extension cable for the power as you can see from the picture it plugs directly into whatever power source you are using with the two foldable prongs attached directly to the white box. So if you're replacing your original OEM Power Adapter and you still have the extension cord that slides off the white box (the extension cord that plugs into the wall) still in tact, it IS compatible with this product so make sure you save that for added convenience. Overall I'm extremely satisfied after reading all the horrible reviews and almost spending the $100+ for an OEM Apple power adapter. Don't let all of those reviews scare you...I am here to say that this product is legit, powers and charges your MacBook efficiently and safely! Hope this review helps somewhat, I don't know about the other replacement chargers for MacBooks, but this one is a GREAT DEAL!

Honestly, I dislike this design of the 60Watt power adaptor. I have have gone through 2 60Watt power adapters already due to a certain problem I had been having. Many people do not realize that there is considerable wire strain from the 60Watt model because the wire would often turn either to the right or left if you weren't careful on your position. Whereas 85Watt model has the wire coming from the side to prevent this strain and this is incredibly important, just google "magsafe burn" and you'll see what I mean.

Here a some really important recommendations to consider provided by Apple:

Reduce Cable Strain-

support [dot] apple [dot] com/kb/HT1630

Remove magsafe properly-

support [dot] apple [dot] com/kb/HT1453?viewlocale=en_US

Pros:

1-Somewhat sturdy, each of my adapters lasted about 1 year

Cons:

1-Strained really easily and can lead to burns!

I got this charger for my MacBook (one of the newer aluminum ones) after my original Apple brand one died (by completely separating the small cord that goes from the transformer to the computer from the transformer). The apple brand ones were significantly more, around $75. When the cord got here the only observable difference was the lack of an apple logo on the side and the charger only came with the travel plug (which is fine if it's a replacement because one should still have the extension cord plug).

However when using this charging cable, you can not reliably charge the computer and run it at the same time. So you have to either turn off or close your computer until the battery is completely charged in order to run off AC power. Otherwise frequently you will get a message saying *Not Charging* on your battery and slowly the battery will drain to 0% and the computer will start bouncing in and out of emergency sleep mode (the mode the Mac goes into when the reserve battery is dead as well). Also if the battery is close to full (between (95-99%) the chord simply will not charge the battery at all.

As well when using this power cord it runs incredibly hot, to the point where after an hour or so of usage it is painful to touch for more than a few seconds.

This product is truly an example of you get what you pay for. I ended up breaking apart my power chord and repairing the wiring just so I could have a reliable power source again.

In short:

Pros: Cheap, aesthetically similar

Cons: Unreliable, computer must be at 100% charge or you can not use the computer and on AC power, if battery is not at 100% the chord will slowly drain the battery, and runs extremely hot. - Macbook Charger - Macbook - Laptop Battery Chargers - Apple'

Digital Camera - kids camera, digital camera

We got this camera for our 4yr old and she absolutely loves it. It took her about an hour to get used to what to do with it, but once she did, she is taking pictures of everything.

A great feature is that you can add characters to the pictures. It's easy to turn on and off.

The flash is always on, so pictures really close up will most likely be very bright. No matter though, just pull back some and the pictures are great. The camera will turn off after 1 minute of non-use, but turns back on easily with the touch of any button.

Downloading the pictures is very easy. You can use the software that comes with the camera, or just plug it in to the USB port on the computer to transfer pictures. The quality is just fine for a 4 year old...in fact it was a little better even than we thought it would be.

The LCD screen to view the pictures is just right for a 4yr old, however, it could probably crack or scratch easily if dropped. Also, there is only about a 2 second viewing window before you have to click in to the memory to view the pictures.

Lastly, it's easy to delete pictures and this camera has a huge memory with even more possibility of adding an sd card(which we didn't really need at this point). Digital Blue Disney Pix Jr. Digital Camera - Disney Princess

I purchased this camera on clearance at Target. I took a chance and I'm glad I did. For the price I paid, it is a great durable camera for my 4 year old. I don't worry about it dropping or getting knocked around. She loves shooting pics of everything and has fun adding the optional princess related backgrounds. We have yet to upload them to the computer and have them printed but I wasn't very interested in doing that when I purchased the camera anyway. Mostly she like to just shoot away. The screen is a live view so she doesn't have to put it up to her eye to take a picture. With moderate use the batteries lasted about a month so using rechargables might be a good idea. It is very easy to use and I suspect she will get better at taking pics, the more she uses it. I reccomend this camera for an alternate to the more expensive with not super reviews Fisher Price toddler camera.

this is a terrible camera! It is much bigger than it looks. One thing that is not in the description is that it makes a very annoying and loud noise anytime you push a button, no way to shut it off. I wasn't impressed already. Then after just 5 minutes of using it, just me, no kids involved or any rough handling, it started messing up. the top half of the screen stayed just gray, with visible pixels. I tried formatting the disc a few times then called Digital Blue customer service. The guy was really nice on the phone, explained how to format the disc, I did it again, still no results. He finally asked for my email address so he could send me shipping instructions to get it fixed. all this was within 3 weeks of Christmas. He said it would probably be back in time. I waited and waited for that email, I had a reference number, I called again, they said they would send it again, nothing. Now it's less than 2 weeks till Christmas! I ended up contacted Amazon, returning the camera as defective and ordering a VTech Kidizoom instead. much better. no great yet, but much much better!

My little one is delighted with the camera and it works as expected.

My only unhappiness is that the seller "Cheapees" had sent a different version of the product from the amazon description. Mine came without a SD card slot, the description mentioned it has expandable memory up to 2GB. I have even bought a new 2GB SD card to use with this camera. All wasted and it is quite inconvenient to always use USB cable for file transfer with the tiny onboard memory.

We bought 2 of these cameras (princess for our daughter and Toy Story for our son) for our kids for our recent Disney trip. They absolutely loved them. The durability of them is a great plus. We have already lost a few of our cameras because the kids wanted to take a picture then they droped the camera. Now they have their own. My son actually dropped his multiple times and the results are that they still work great. The picture quality was decent also.

The kids loved the ability to put the image overlays on also.

The only draw backs:

1. There is no power button. It turns on when the picture button is pushed. This is a bit annoying when you put it in a bag or something and the batteries get drained because it keeps turning on when the button gets bumped.

2. My son complained a little bit because there was no zoom and he couldn't take pictures from further away.

Overall though, great cameras!

My daughter had told me my granddaughter wanted this for her 3 yr. birthday. She had reccommended Target, but of course Amazon is my place to shop of choice. I looked and found it cheaper & I was thrilled. My granddaughter absolutely loves it & is slowly learning the art of taking pictures.

I got this as a gift for my best friends daughter. She loves it, makes her feel like a big girl being able to take pictures. She is 3 and has dropped it several times and it keeps working! All the kids really love the extra princess characters you can add to the pictures! - Kids Digital Camera - Digital Camera - Kids Camera - Disney Camera'

Here are the unrated versions of all of the Riddick tales. We get Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick, and The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury, a short animated film. But will all of the movies and all of the extras, we are still missing the half-hour promotion feature where we see Riddick's past. Originally he was a government assassin who was trained a bit too well. When the government was done with him they tried to eliminate him. Riddick survived and trumped up charges were invented sending him on the run. But that original story is missing from this collection.

Pitch Black. Riddick is one of a handful of survivors who crash on a bright and arid world. But once in a while, the three suns are completely blocked and true darkness covers the land. It is in this darkness that the remaining life on the planet comes out of hiding and goes hunting. Riddick must fight the dark, hold tr group together, and somehow escape the planet.

Dark Fury. Having escaped at the end of the first movie, Riddick and company are picked up by a bounty hunter who has a different idea of what to do with dangerous men. Now Riddick is faced with killers, monsters, and a captain who seems to worship the skill of killing and survival. This film is short and animated but uses the voices of actors from the other movies.

The Chronicles of Riddick. Here old acquaintances try to enlist Riddick's help in stopping a force known as the Necromongers. It is their sworn duty to purge the flawed life of our universe so that they can be born in perfection in the underverse. This time Riddick is faced with his past, unstoppable armies, weapons of mass destruction and possibly the fate of the whole world.

A nice collection of some interesting films. Packed in a nice small package this is not just a bundle but an original collection. Plenty of action and tough guys for any appetite. See the full range of the Richard P. Riddick stories from the starkness of Pitch Black to the visually overwhelming Chronicles of Riddick. Check it out. Riddick Trilogy (Pitch Black / The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury / The Chronicles of Riddick)

I'm a huge sci-fi fan and was interested in the Riddick movies upon seeing them. I told myself that I wouldn't buy any of them unless they came out all together in a box set. Well, here it is for $14 (WalMart) I couldn't go wrong. All three movies on two discs. If you're hardcore about these movies you might want to stick with the original single DVDs because I think they have DTS and animated menus. The Pitch Black movie on this collection didn't even have scene select, but the chapter button did work, so you can skip during the movie, you just can't select a spot ahead of time.

Anyway, Pitch Black and TCOR are Unrated, but I didn't really notice too much in the 3 extra minutes of Pitch Black. I noticed some, but nothing really substantial that changes the movie's overall tone at all. I was satisfied with The Tremors Attack Pack Franchise Collection even if it was a little condensed in some areas, so naturally I was pleased with this collection and its price. I recommend this series to all sci-fi fans looking for a good old fashioned epic series.

Having already owned the three Riddick films on dvd, I stumbled upon this collection and discovered that it contained all three films in a nifty bundle. So instead of having all three films in separate dvd cases, you get them all in one with this here. I went ahead & purchased this and sold the three separate Riddick films that I had prior. Afterall, what have I got to lose?

Granted there are some missing effects from the menu screens (noticeably on COR) the movies themselves are all kept intact in high quality as seen in their originals (which is excellent), along with the full director's cut versions of both PB and CoR. Some may be wondering why PB & Dark Fury are on the same disc this time around. Well for one, Dark Fury's a short enough movie to fit onto the same disc as PB without sacrificing much of anything, it's actually better this way. Now you won't have to switch inbetween disc to watch (granted you already owned both PB & DF prior, if not, please excuse this). Afterall, PB and DF interlace with each other. It would only make sense for them both to be on the same disc. You definitely get alot for this collection's small retail price. You're getting three films which could run you at $30.00+, for under twenty bucks. 400+ minutes of nonstop sci-fi action.

All in all, to those of whom already own all three films, there really isn't anything new here to see with the exception of the gnarly dvd packaging, along with the films being in a single dvd case on two discs (no new features that weren't already found in the originals) as opposed to three. However, to those who don't already own the Riddick films (or to those who simply owned the prior films on vhs), now's your chance to PICK THIS UP! The price alone justifies the purchase, and this collection serves as a great intermission into the Riddick universe.

I already owned the Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick DVDs and was looking to purchase Dark Fury to complete my collection. Instead of buying Dark Fury I thought I would buy this set and sell my other 2 DVD's. However, after puchasing the set I noticed that all 3 movies were condensed onto 2 discs, eliminating the DTS soundtrack, interactive menus as well as a few special features found on my original DVD's. I couldn't find much info on this prior to my purchase so I'm posting this for people in a similar situation. It's a good purchase for bargain hunters though.

Buy this CD for "Pitch Black" and (especially) "The Chronicles of Riddick". "Dark Fury" is an animation piece which I won't comment on.

"Pitch Black" uses the standard SF plot of crash-survivors battling for their lives against hostile alien life forms. Vin Diesel, as a convict and murderer, adds another dimension to the story though. The production also adds some fresh twists and great effects. This is VERY good stuff despite the familiar theme.

The gem in this collection is "The Chronicles of Riddick". This is imaginative 'space opera' at its finest. The production is lavish with detailed and overwhelming sets of mysterious deities. The dark plot is driven by otherworldly religious fanaticism, ugly politics, human greed and Riddicks revenge. There's lots of action here but thought provoking grist as well. The movie stands out as some of the very best SF ever made.

Both movies are the Directors Cuts and are burned on a separate disk. Each movie has Special Features/Bonus Material, including director's and actors' comments. Don't pass this DVD up. It's well worth the money. - Dvd - Vin Diesel - Action - Pitch Black'

Back Support Brace

Can't think of a thing to complain about; it's comfortable, fits perfectly, comes at an excellent price, and keeps me upright while sitting and standing. I slipped a disc and was having bad sciatic pain, but since I've started wearing this to work I've hardly had any back/sciatic problems. Mueller Adjustable Back Brace, Black, One Size

I bought this for my Mom, but she is too short between her waist and breasts so it's a little awkward for her to wear (she's 84). Otherwise, it's a very durable product and made well. I had one of these for myself a long time ago for a back injury. I couldn't live without it. I think they are great. Offers a lot of support

I tried this product while sitting for long hours and also when working. I work in a hospital and constant bending is part of my job description. While it gives some support it is not very comfortable when I am working. It constricts and puts you out of breath soon. If i adjust the brace then it is not effective and not that helpful. However, it does work fine when I am in a sitting position. As a student I have to sit for long hours while studying and this definitely supports my back. Well, I wish to give 1/2 more points if only there is way to give .5 star. But until I find a better product at a affordable price, i will suggest to give this a try. Better than not having anything for your back.

If anyone interested, my gf taught me a back exercise (very effective for sciatica) that is really helpful for my back pain. You might be able to find a video or instruction on the web. Take care of your back guys. No way to replace it.

I can work 10 hours now without feeling a thing. It's simply beautiful.

However, it sometimes slips up, and you know when it does, because then your back starts hurting again. So set aside some time to readjust as necessary.

I plan to try my hand with this brace while working out. Right now it's only for work use, and it's great.

Wow! My first impression was how well made this back brace was make....not a single wrap around but additional supporting straps that make this an extremely secure brace. I'm well pleased. It does the job. I highly recommend the product to anyone looking for this type of support item.

Pulled it out of the box and put it right on. Voilà! Instant relief from my pain due to a disc problem at L5-S1. Always was suspicious about these things working, but after my rheumatologist recommended it, I decided to try one. Agree with the other folks that this one is very good quality.

Now, claiming that this is suitable for a waist up to 50 inches is a figment of someone's exaggeration. I wear a size 36-38 trouser, and I find it best at the very end of it's velcro adjustment. If you're above a size 40, I suggest you consider that "extended" one, unless you don't really care if you can breathe or not.'

Keychain Garage Door Opener - genie, garage door opener

The remote works as advertised.

The manual has programming directions (press "program" button on your garage opener, press the remote two times, you're done).

The four little rectangles arond the remote are a plastic sleeve that can be reversed to cover the button, so it won't accidentally open your garage from your pocket.

There's a tiny hole that lights up red when you press the button, so you know that the battery is good.

Comes with battery already installed.

The keyring was a little tough to attach. Genie GICT390-1BL One-Button Remote Control with Intellicode

I have an Overhead Door brand opener. I think this brand is only available through independent dealers. My remote was 10 years old and I needed a new one. I was glad to find that this little remote would work with Overhead Door. I simply opened the lens that covers the lightbulb, pushed the learn button, pushed the remote control button twice within a few seconds of one another and it was ready to go. Works great. Verify on Genie's site that your garage door opener works with this remote before ordering...just to be sure.

This was sooo easy!

The hardest part was cutting open the plastic packaging! Easy set-up as mentioned. Just click the "learn" button on your opener and press the button twice on this remote and Voila! you're done!

Comes with a visor clip and a key ring. I'm just using the visor clip. This is a nice compact size remote, a little smaller than those really tiny flip cellphones.

Note: The product packaging states that this remote is only valid with Genie models 1997 and newer.

This remote is working from 30 feet away for me. Awesome! I guess it depends on the static on this particular frequency in your area, but it's wonderful at my house and I'm not far from the airport.

If you own a Genie 1997 or newer and need a new remote, buy this one and you'll be as happy as me!

This is only a bit smaller than the regular Genie remote, maybe the size of a flip cellphone. Don't expect it to hang on your key ring unless you're Captain Kangaroo.

The "docking station" is a plastic bracket with the visor clip. The remote isn't any smaller with it than without.

This compact version of the Genie rolling code remote comes with a reversible belt clip that allows you to cover the actuating button when it is in your pocket or purse. The unit programs very easily and has a loop for attachment of other items you may want to group with the remote. The remotes' smaller size is handy for reducing the bulk of necessary carries. Highly recommended!

Just like other reviews, it took me less than 1 minute to set up it. It's cheaper than buying a unit from Home Depot. However it's not true that your opener with Intellicode has be manufactured after 1997. Mine is 1996 and it works. Before I ordered it, I checked with Genie customer service via email and they told that it would work.

I was in the market for a replacement remote when one of my room-mates moved out and didn't give me his remote! I was stuck between this model and the larger direct replacement model [GIT-1BL] simply because of the price difference. I decided to get this model since I felt the smaller size would be easier to tuck away in the car. I've never been a fan of having a garage door opener on my visor.

Like all the other reviews state, this is super easy to set-up and requires little more than a small step ladder for programming.

The size is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller than the GIT-1BL. Well worth the extra $$ if you're someone who tucks your opener out of sight and only need one button!

The range is a bit better than my original remote and now the door opens completely by the time I'm ready to park.

The only issue might be for older folks who like having the larger raised and textured button that has that satisfying click when you push it. This model is designed to fit in your pocket easily and has a recessed button that takes just a little more finesse to push, but nothing significant.

Recommended? YES!

Nice upgrade from how old the Genie GIT-1BL looks. But we're always accidently hitting the button. Kind of annoying. It is way too sensitive so if it is in your pocket or in your hand, it is too easy to activate.

Update: After owning this for 6 months, I would not recommend this to anyone. I can activate the garage from anywhere in our condo. Unfortunately, the button sensitivity has caused us to accidently leave the garage open for several hours. If we ever get my tools stolen I would be very upset.

We have Overhead Door garage openers that are roughly 8-9 years old, with the rotating codes. I was really worried when I had lost or broken all of our older garage openers, when I found these.

WOW! These are so easy to setup. A simple few clicks on the garage unit, and then on the remote and I was off and running.

Highly recommend these as replacements. They're a little light and flimsy feeling, otherwise I'd have given them 5 stars. But, at this price I'll gladly just buy more if one breaks. - Remote - Garage Door Opener - Genie Garage Door Opener - Genie'

Educational - magazine, technology

Bottom-line: Within its 130 or so glossy pages I have found a home, a resting place from which I can gleam my needed automotive knowledge.

Like a lot of middle-aged men I am a car guy. I eat and drink--more or less--the elixir of horsepower, torque, RPM's, painted wheels, ergonomic cockpits, and colored sheet metal. I can recite long lists of carlines and their varying specifications. At various times in the last five years I have subscribed to and devoured three of the nation's most popular car magazines: Motor Trend, Automobile, and Car & Driver. But, I recently gave up my subscription to Automobile and received a $5.00 off coupon from Magazines.com via e-mail; I replaced it with "Road & Track Magazine," published monthly by Hachette Filipacchi Media U.S., Inc.

Like most car magazines, "Road & Track Magazine" is full of glossy, colorful, pictures and serious well written articles, car comparisons, and long-term road tests, but the magazine has little to distinguish itself from its brethren. I used to read "Road & Track Magazine" back in my twenties, and while the magazine has moved itself smartly into the 21st century, the basic formula that made the magazine fun and informative back in the 1980's remains virtually unchanged.

"Road & Track Magazine" does an excellent job of covering the national (American) and International car scene. And the reaches far-a-field to bring readers the off-beat, the exotic and the really expensive, but fear not the Chevrolet Volt's, Suzuki Swift's and Toyota Corolla's of the world also find a place inside the glossy pages of "Road & Track Magazine." And the magazine does this is in a format that is easy to follow and extremely inviting.

For instance in the June 2010 issue "Road & Track Magazine" featured the previews/road tests of the following cars: Jaguar XJ, Audi R8 Spyder; Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 vs. Nissan GTR vs. Porsche 911 Turbo; plus a long-term test wrap-up of the Acura TL SH-AWD, as well as a features write-up on the Suzuki Swift, Mazda Demio, and Toyota iQ. Add to these two very well written and equally as comprehensive competition articles: Electric Boogaloo -Tesla vs. Lotus, and Formula 1, Then & Now, and you have receipt for the most useful automobile magazine in the country.

Because of its name "Road & Track Magazine" does seem to cover the racing circuit more than it fellows, which would be fine if I followed Formula 1, NASCAR, and notable figures from that world, but I don't so I tend to skip over those articles.

Interspersed between these nuggets of auto knowledge are other articles that deal with esoteric but informative tidbits from the automotive arena. For instance the same issue that brought us the above mentioned articles offered up an excellent 2-page article on the past, present and future of the spark plug! Not exactly need to know information, but for anyone with a keen interest in the internal combustion engine--like me--this article hit the spot.

When the final page is turned is "Road & Track Magazine" different enough from the other two car periodicals I read to renew my subscription? In a word: no. While I certainly enjoy reading the magazines various articles and columns there just isn't enough between the glossy covers to justify renewing the subscription. I'm just not into the auto racing scene and "Road & Track Magazine" is big into Formula 1, NASCAR and other racing related themes.

For raw, general automotive new "Road & Track Magazine" is not as good as Motor Trend, Automobile, or Car & Driver. But with a subscription cost of only $9.97 (or less, over at Magazines.com) per year, you can afford to grab 12 issues and make up your own mind. Road & Track (1-year auto-renewal)

Gran Turismo 5 gave me the high end car bug. Now I can't get enough of supercars, muscle cars and road/gt/endurance racing. Checking out different magazines to keep me abreast of what I was interested in lead me to Road & Track. I almost went with Motor Trend, but the reviews here convinced me to go with R&T and I am so glad I did. The first issue I got featured the new 302 Boss Mustang (which I love) and the previous month's issue was also sent with the new version of the McLaren featured along with news from the recent Geneva auto show. Heaven. A letter to the editor sums up the kind of reader this magazine appeals to. It thanked the editor for making the section, of a previous issue, on hybrid and electric cars easily distinguishable from the rest of the articles. He thanked them because that showed him what section to avoid, lol, with the suggestion for future issues to make news on hybrids and alternative cars a pullout section he could easily throw out. One of the really neat features in the magazine are codes your smart phone can read to access cool content. And they have a app for live coverage of an upcoming auto show for smart phones. So, they have also kept up with new technology and many articles include web addresses for videos and more info. In all, I could not ask for more!

They also have articles on racing with guest editorials from drivers of different series like Grand Am and FIA GT1.

They have a free phone app and many of the articles have icons you can scan with your smart phone that links to videos and other content from them. You can also access this extra content via their website.

FYI: I got my subscription right when Amazon said it would start arriving.

I have subscribed to Road & Track for three decades. If I could only get one car magazine, this would be the one. It is the least biased, and unlike most car mags, it still has a "test summary" at the end so you can quickly compare with other models from past issues.

If you want to keep up with all the newest models, long-term tests, and a few interesting/educational articles along the way, IMO R&T has the best coverage and most comprehensive articles. Also, it is one of the few remaining magazines to publish slalom results. Motor Trend, for example, publishes their useless "Figure Eight" number. Another plus is that R&T has a wider format than other car mags. This allows wider pages that have bigger pictures, and it sits flatter when you read it. About the only nit I can list is that they're starting to become more like other car magazines and include cutesy/trite expressions/flowery commentary in their articles.

If you are even remotely inclined to purchase just one or two per year at a news stand, just do yourself a favor and subscribe. Even the 'meh' issues you can always pass to co-workers or the lunch room. I always look forward to getting mine in my mailbox. For less than a dollar, it's a great deal. - Technology - Magazine'
