Darya Trading - wedding, tux

I have recently joined a band on the Gold Coast ,Queensland Australia, playing middle of the road music and the guys all wear white tuxedo jackets for the first two brackets.I searched here and no-one could help with a jacket, bar one store who could get one from Melborne and it would take 2 weeks to get here. Then I found your site, ordered, and by weeks end the parscel arrived, could not believe it,all the way from the USA. Amazing customer service.I would have no hesitation in purchasing from you again. will send a picture of the group as soon as they are available from the photographer. Happy New Year Team.

Roger Dunlop New Mens Single Breasted (SB) One Button White Tuxedo Suit - High Quality, Low Cost, Great Value!

Was hesitate to order a tux online but the company shipped right out, priced right and good quality. My son loved it and will wear it again. It was a lot more economical than renting for one time and except for hemming it was a perfect fit.

I ordered this suit for my brother who had been searching for a white suit for months. All of the suits he found were costing $170.00 up to $278.00 and did not look that great. He's a tall/big guy. I found this and we decided to take a chance on ordering it. He absolutely loves it!!!! The suit looks very rich and elegant as if he spent tons of money on it. He looks great in it!!!! I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a very nice elegant white suit -- that this is the one!!!!This is a great deal for and very inexpensive price.

Very Satisfied Customer

I'm getting married in April and wanted to wear a white dinner jacket or tux jacket for the ceremony. My fiancee and I live in Cincinnati and are getting married in Las Vegas, so renting became problematic. I thought I'd just bite the bullet and buy a white jacket. This one seemed reasonably priced and got excellent reviews, so I ordered it. It arrived today, and I was surprised to find pants included with the jacket. I figured that for the price, I was only getting a jacket. Turns out, it's for an entire, nicely made suit! I couldn't be happier!

I purchased this for part of a costume - so I wasn't expecting great quality to start with - but this is just shameful. When my husband put it on you could see the seams and shoulder pads through the fabric, it was so thin! On top of that, the arms are really poorly constructed. The seam on the side back should meet up with the seam of the sleeves, and they are completely off. Also, the arms are HUGE - as if they were constructed for a muscle builder or very flabby arms.

It is a Dinner Jacket, but for the cost don't expect anything great - imagine Walmart quality.

I bought this for my nephew who needed it in a large size not normally carried. He couldn't find one and was leaving for his event in 8 days. I turned to Amazon.com and found this item in his size. He received it in 4 days with plenty of time to have the pants hemmed. Yes they came unhemmed like all good quality mens wear. The tux fit him perfectly. It was very good quality, and well made. He'll be ordering from here again with confidence. - Tux - Wedding - Suits - Darya Trading'

Customer Service - snowthrower, snowblower

This came by truck in a wood framed heavy duty cardboard crate. Wood skid on the bottom and wood support frame on top. It arrived without a scratch on the crate so that impressed me...I mean it(the crate)looked showroom fresh so that was great if not incredible. Unpacking and setup was impressive,..this machine is well built and very much commercial rated. The tines have shear bolts instread of shear pins which I like. The engine came with oil and started right up after adding the gas and hitting the electric start button once. The boom swings smoothly via a control lever which is nice, and it also has a headlamp. The handle bars attach with 4 (not two) wing bolts which I liked,..no skimping. Just a great machine and hogged right thru the drifts. I am very pleased with the price and quality. Especially the quality. Poulan Pro PR624ES 24-Inch 208cc LCT Gas Powered Two-Stage Snow Thrower With Electric Start 961920037

Purchased this from Amazon on 12/28 for 679 + free shipping. This is Item # 261512, but on 12/30, received shipping notice from Northern Tool and noticed Model # 26150 was shipped. After sending 3 emails to No. Tool, finally got them to admit it's a different unit available for 599 from a number of Online retailers.

The Northern Rep told me he could not correct the order because I bought it on Amazon, but could cancel the order and take a new order for the correct item at $699 & $85 shipping. Got an email on 01/04 indicating they had requested the item be returned by the carrier and once they received it, would refund my card.

I also filed a complaint with Amazon, but thus far, no word.

The shipped unit has smaller tires, a much lower intake height and a smaller engine among other things.

Bought this unit in November 2008 for $649. Couldn't find anything else under $800-$900 with a headlight, remote chute control, auger lock and variable speed settings. Did I mention free freight delivery right to the house and the friendly driver who helped me take the thing off the semi-trailer and then carted it to my garage. I was lucky this guy was so helpful.

It was extremely well packaged, took only about 30 minutes from opening the box, doing some minor assembly, adding oil and gas, to firing up the engine. This unit is surprisingly well built, loaded with features and fairly easy to handle. I wanted to wait until a full season of use and non-use before evaluating. This machine handled a Western New York winter without a problem. Started each time on the first or second pull and never gave an issue during the year. Cuts through deep snow without bogging down.

The only thing I think needs improvement is the length of the handles. They need to be a bit longer to help create greater down leverage when turning or maneuvering. (Found my rotator cuffs aching after each use. I was surprised this happened considering that I am no couch potato. Note: After using my daughter's Yard Machine snow thrower to clear her yard, I never experienced any similar discomforts).

Since the 2009 winter season is looming around the corner, I went to fire the beast up to ensure it was ready for battle. Choke on, fuel on, primed and ready. First pull it fires right up and runs smooth as glass. Now I can only hope I really don't have to do this for real.

This is my First snow thrower, and I had done some research before buying anything. I was about to buy one of the big-box-stores affiliated brand snow thrower, but the Poulan-Pro was only slightly more expansive yet proved to have much more to offer such as the headlight (great addition), the easier to use chute control handle, and even the color is better ;)

we have a VERY long driveway which was the reason for getting this (no way I could shovel THAT much snow) and this thing will clear the 100ft driveway + back path to house + ~100ft street walkway in about 30-45 minutes at 4"-6" of snow - heck, I even clear the neighbors area where the snowplows block the entrance to the street. this thing works like a charm!

the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars are the fact that it came with 1 tire deflated (it's losing air every couple of days- I've contacted customer support, and am awaiting a response about that), and the fact that the skid plates have gotten rusty very quickly - after 1st use. again - this is my first machine so maybe I'm expecting too much of it, but I'm learning as I go. Other than that - this thrower blows! and FAR!

Definitely a step up from the 'lower end' 2 stage throwers.

Purchased a 624es on Amazon through Northern Tool; was shipped a 5524es in its place . The product received has a retail value of at least $150.00 less than the machine paid for . Contacted Northern Tool and was told the machines are essentially the same , another lie !! Can't believe that Amazon still has Northern's products on their web site .Poulan Pro PR624ES 24-Inch 208cc Gas Powered 2-Stage Snow Thrower With Electric Start (Non-CARB Compliant) #961920029

After spending weeks of research on snow throwers and multipel trips to BORG and mom and pop dealerships, I've decided to pull the trigger on this Poulan Pro PR5524ES Pro 5.5HP 24-Inch 2 Stage Snow Thrower with Electric Start and remote chute. Poulan Pro is actually owned by Husqvarna.

Delivery: This item arrived pretty fast and the driver was kind enough to use his lift gate and palette lift to haul it to our garage.

Packaging: Amazing and the box is very sturdy and has a built in palette.

Assembly: Really easy to assemble, no missing parts, was able to run the machine 15 mins after taking it out of the package.

Instruction Manual: Easy to read and easy to follow.

Finish: Great finish on the machine.

Unit: Wow, not a lot of plastic on this thing. The chute is solid and very easy to control. The unit looks like it will hold up well. The headlight was great addition and we've gotten 3 heavy snows already and this thing cleared over 7 inches of snow like it was nothing. The integrated toolbox is neat and actually functional. Speeds on the gears are pretty easy to control. Say bye bye to them nagging back aches once you have this snow blower on your arsenal.

Overall, I highly recommend this snow blower to any homeowner, it is the perfect snow blower and it drives itself, pretty effortless to use. I got a great deal on because I got this unit for $649.00 with free shipping from Northern Tool through Amazon and definitely glad that I pulled the trigger because the price on this unit went up to $899.00 two weeks of ordering it.

Hoping this review can help other homeowners like me researching for the best bang for the buck snow blower.

Plastic - samsung, rubber

This case was not what I expected, the red one has a great metallic color but doesn't fit and all the edges are not well finished, is a good solution if you want your phone to not be naked, but it doesn't seem to protect to much and the quality leaves a lot to expect. Samsung Galaxy S i9000 White Rubberized Hard Cover Crystal Case

It's a nice white matte hard rubber feeling case. The biggest problem is how it fails to properly fit on the Galaxy S (i9000/T959) phones. If it doesn't fit properly, it cannot protect, which completely defeats the purpose of a case for your phone. The plastic is also poorly cut, so I had to take a file and scrape off the excess plastic. 1.5/5 rating

I have pictures describing what I mean on my Tumblr blog: [..]

Save your money and get the SGP Ultra Slider. I also linked the case I just purchased in that same article. Hope this helps the lost Vibrant/Galaxy S i9000 users that cannot find a really great looking and protecting case. - Plastic - Rubber - Samsung - Vibrant'

Metal Bars To Hang Files - hanging file folder bars, folder accessories

When I purchased this for my office I failed to measure the depth of the drawer. When it arrived the bars were much too long, a good 4in past the adjustable part. A coworker was able to use pliers to hold bar in place and bent the bar back and forth until it was the correct length. Super easy to adjust (even with my lack of measuring) and they work great. Smead Hanging Steel Letter Size File Folder Drawer Frames 2 Count (64870)

not "easy assembly, or ready to use." I wish I had known it would involve pliers ( those that can cut ) to make them fit the cabinets. Fortunately I had a set handy, but again, need a fair amount of strength to make the cut to allow these to work in standard cabinets.

While it is true that you can adjust the length, the pre-crimped tabs that you can snap off only allow you to adjust between 23 and 27 inches. In theory you can make it shorter if you feel handy, but you'll need some tools to do so. I used a pair of wire cutters to make my own crimp at the correct length and snap the rail off, so it did end up working, but the manner that I adjusted the length was not the way the manufacturer intended. While most commercial filing cabinets meet the longer length, the inexpensive ones (like mine) that you get at discount stores are on the order of 18" deep. The end pieces in my package were also a little bent so the finished assembly wanted to sit crooked in the file cabinet. In the end it worked fine, but left me a little unimpressed.

This product is great for converting old file cabinets with no hanging folder capacity. However, when Smead says that you can "easily snap the rods to the desired size", this actually translates to "you can bend-break the rods with some elbow grease and a vice grip (heavy-duty vice grip pliers)at each pinched interval".

Thought you'd want to know. Also, doing this bends the end of the rod, so you'll also need to use the vice grip again to bend it back into the proper shape.

I bought a file cabinet for my business and it did not have the hanging file system installed. These are a cheap way to get your hanging folders in standard filing cabinets. Easy to assemble, and pretty sturdy. I have probably 10 pounds of weight hanging on each one of these and they do not appear to be overly strained.

Highly recommended.

This is from a woman's point of view. This is a horrible product and I would never recommend it. The rail that has the notches....and you are just suppose to be able to break is absolutely ridiculous, I had to take the rails to a neighbor MAN and I thought he would never be able to snap them to the correct length. He ended up having to use a chisel and a hammer to get them off so IT ISN'T EASY TO DO. I still haven't been able to put the frames together. I would NEVER, NEVER buy this product.

This item works great for the price. There was a bit of cutting because the bar was too long even after breaking it off at the perforated end. I am handy with tools so there was not a problem at all. You will pay 4 times the amount of this product if you go to an office supply store.

This is a Smead product that fits perfectly in my HON 2 drawer file cabinets. I bought 2 boxes with 2 frames in each box for a fraction of the co$t that one file hanger would have been had I purchased it from my local Office Depot or even WalMart. The quality of this product is every bit as good if not better. Breaking the hanger sides down to fit was not difficult. Just use a straight edge to bend (up & down several times to break it) at the preferred mark for the length size of the drawer. The only tool I used was a flat blade screw driver to tighten down the side runners to the front and back stand. Ryobi 12 Volt - tools, battery charger

The product arrived exactly as described, we plugged it in and it charged our drill's battery. However, we have since noticed that it has stopped working. It is supposed to have a red light that lights when the battery is inserted (this lets you know that it is working). The light went out, and we soon realized that it was no longer charging. Ryobi Charger 1411141

My original Ryobi charger went south, but I love the drill. An easy fix is as follows. I unplugged the charger and removed the bottom cover then attached my car battery charger (12V) to the charger terminals underneath the Ryobi charger (check power cord wires for +/- location). Put the Ryobi battery back in the charger unit and trickle charge the battery that way. Remember to not use the Ryobi power cord, the car battery charger is supplying the juice.

I had the original charger which is no longer manufactured for over 4 years. After it died, this model was substituted and I had two replacements both die the same way (being left on overnight). Now I have to use a manual timer which shuts power off after 3 hours.

Weird....Ryobi was nice but said that's just the way it is...

I read the reviews after I had bought this product. Since my charger had just went out, I was happy to find that Amazon carried it. I immediately ordered it and then decided to scan the reviews. I could not believe how negative the reviews were for this item.

Well when I received it, I plugged it in, placed in a battery, the red charging light went on, and then the light went off. The charger was BROKE. It lasted almost two seconds!

I contacted Ryobi. They sent me to a local warranty repair shop in town. I took the charger and waited 1.5 weeks to get my charger back. I returned to the shop to pick up the charger. I had carried my batteries with me this time. The shop checked out my batteries and said they were good. I plugged the battery into the newly fixed charger. Well guess what? The Charger lasted 5 minutes before the red charging light went out again.

Long story short, I decided I would read the Amazon reviews BEFORE buying for now on. I have since replaced my Ryobi drill with a DeWalt (twice as expensive) and could not be happier.

This product failed after one charge of my batteries!. I'm not sure who is in charge of their quality control but I would have thought it would have lasted longer than 1 charge. This also reflects upon Amazon since it is their name that has been tarnished. - Tools - Poor Design - Ryobi 12 Volt - Battery Charger'

This is my favorite outfit so far from the Lalaloopsy Fashion Packs. The sandle has laces that criss cross up the legs, so cute! It also comes with float-bands that go around the arms. It's just adorable! Lalaloopsy Fashion Pack Swimsuit

This is not a very good outfit for the Lalaloopsy doll. The shoes won't stay on, not easy for my 6 year old to put the shoes on and lace them up the leg. Also, the arm floaties are very hard to get on also. The swimsuit ties at the back and the tie is very small, not easy for a child to tie either. Would not recommend this particular item unless you want to be helping to change the clothes all the time with your child.'

3d Tv

I give this tv a 4 star rating.

I'm one of the people who don't like the active shutter glasses. primarily because I wear glasses already and adding a heavy second pair bothered me. My cousin purchases the sony 3d tv with active shutter glasses and I can say first hand that after watching 2/3 of avatar 3d I had a splitting headache. this pretty well told me active shutter wasn't for me. I blamed the headache on the weight of the glasses more then the shutter. however I can't prove that. what I can say is that after reviewing the differences in 3d I decided that passive 3d was for me. my reason for this is that I was able to watch 3d avatar at the theater without getting a headache so I thought since it was the same technology it should work. well it's been 3 day since i've had the lg passive 3d tv and after watching avatar, despicable me, and tangled I can say NO headaches!!!!!! I can also tell you the 3d quality may be equal to theater real3d but doesn't have the sharpness of active shutter 3d. I know I gave up quality for no headaches or eye strain. But i'm ok with that as I think the quality of passive 3d is of more value to me then having to wear heavy 3d glasses. There is also a large bonus of being able to bring home the 3d glasses from hoyts and reagal theaters to have spares.

what I didn't expect:

in the past I have owned sharp, samsung, sony and now an LG tv. in all previous cases I always used my bose theater system for sound as I'm sure everyone can contest tv's suck for sound. there isn't any depth or quality and usually they sound like talking into a can.

with LG I was seriously surprised. the sound quality was far better than my samsung 40 led tv. is it as good as the bose system? Heck no! but it did justify putting the bose upstairs in my bedroom with the samsung led and leaving the LG tv solo downstairs for the kids. :) that's a double bonus

thanks LG I got an unexpected upgrade to my nighttime tv.

quality picture of 2d:

The quality is almost equal to samsung and sony at the same size. if I where rating sony or samsung I would rate them a 5 star for quality and LG comes in at 4.75. almost as good but not quite. it's not that I see lines or pixilations or shadowing.

so my 4 star rating is because I took 1 point off for the uselss documentation they send and the lack of programable remotes without having to deal with going to the lg site and finding the key codes for it. then I gave them .25 for the sound quality. which by the way I would take off .25 from samsung and sony.

Big negative for those with boses older aquistic system the lg doesn't have a audio out port so you can't use bose aquistic with it. this didn't affect me but I know friends who own the system and wanted to give everyone fair warning. you can ofcourse use optic out as always. For the fun of it I had one friend bring over his bose system to try useing through the headset out port, it definately isn't recommended. Bad sound and bad quality plus you have to manage both remotes all the time.

anyway this was my review, as an owner of LG I'll see with this model if I ever buy another.

47LW6500 LG Infinia 47LW6500 47-Inch Cinema 3D 1080p 240Hz LED-LCD HDTV with Smart TV and Four Pairs of 3D Glasses

Last January I had a dilemma. I wanted to upgrade an old 40" Samsung 720P LCD tv but I couldn't decide whether or not to purchase a 3D tv since the technology was so new. I decided to play it safe and ended up purchasing a Samsung 55B8500 in February 2010. That particular LED model was the last one to have local dimming backlight, not edge lit. I must say, I'm still beyond happy with my decision because that tv is nearly flawless and 3D technology has certainly improved.

Anyways, a year passed and I felt that it was time to purchase a 3D tv. This time to replace my old 40" Samsung that was now in my bedroom. I researched online and went to multiple stores comparing brands, sizes and the difference between active and passive 3D. I must've spent a good 2 months before finally choosing this LG model. I love Samsung and had originally wanted the new UN55D8000 model with the slim bezel but it was a little more than I wanted to spend. Plus, after a while I had come to like passive 3D more than active mainly because I wouldn't have to deal with charging the glasses or replacing them(expensive) if they broke.

So the main reason I bought this model was for the 3D which I must say is nice. It's not as crisp a picture as active shutter but it's nonetheless clear. Passive 3D only delivers 540 lines to each eye hence halving the 1080p resolution but in all honesty, the picture still looks like it's in HD. The tv delivers great 3D depth and that's what it's all about. One negative about the 3D picture though is that you can make out thin horizontal lines across the whole screen while in 3D mode. BUT, this is only noticeable if you are watching from 5 feet or closer. All passive tvs are like this and the smaller the screen the less noticeable. I watch from 6-8 ft away so I don't notice it at all. Recommended viewing distance for a tv this size is a minimum of 6 ft anyways.

The 2D to 3D conversion isn't anything special. The depth isn't quite there and when it is it just doesn't look right. It's fun to play with though.

The 2D picture quality is great but one drawback is the edge lighting. It's noticeable in dark scenes and there is uneven screen uniformity. My Samsung is back-lit so I guess I'm spoiled because I've never encountered this before. All I have to say is that I'll never buy another edge-lit tv ever again.

Overall, this is a good tv. If you don't want to spend too much on a 3D tv($1400) and don't want to deal with active shutter glasses this is a great tv to have. Although you may want to wait for LG's newer model: LG 47LX9500. It has local dimming backlight, 480hz refresh rate, and a slimmer bezel. Just expect to pay a lot more.'

Panasonic Electric Razor - shaving, razor

Really don't like a dry shave, so I went looking for a wet/dry electric option. A little over a year ago I bought the Panasonic ES8168. It gave a good shave on the face but I needed to go over the neck several times for the closeness I wanted. All in all a good shave...but not great. Also, I wasn't crazy about the cleaning/drying/charging station - I didn't like having to buy the refillable cleaning units and it took almost four hours to complete all cycles.

Recently I picked up the ES8243A and couldn't be happier. Firstly, the shaver's appearance is much nicer than the online photos... the blue on the front is dark and the sides and back are slightly rubberized black (I think it is black). So if you are holding out for the black model ES8243K (with the cleaning unit) don't bother. The 8243A is the new "four blade" technology - purported to be a faster, closer shave. I have found it is what has been advertized - a faster and closer shave! The "four blades" actually refers to the outer foil, a "squarer" design than the 8168. There are still two inner blades, but spaced farther apart than the 8168. For me, the new head design touches more of my face than the 8168 and therefore cuts faster. I have read on other sites that the foil is a thinner steel, allowing the inner blades more access to the skin. The shave has been fast, gliding easily and for the most part needs only one pass for the reults I want. Big improvement!

Ergonomically the shaver is easier to hold than the 8168 and the head design hits all of the hard to reach areas of the neck.

Have been using it with Billy Jealousy Hydroplane shave cream, a great product. Because you only need to apply a very thin layer it is perfect for an electric shaver. The ES8243 glides effortlessly over it and the build-up on the razor is minimal. I usually rinse it 3 -4 times during each shave.

Until this shaver I have been of the opinion the electrics couldn't compare to the closeness of the Gillette Fusion (my previous fav), but all that has changed with the ES8243A. For the first time I can say the shave is as close as the non-electric options, and with no razor burn. IMO Panasonic has hit the bullseye with this product. Panasonic ES8243A Arc IV Nano Men's Wet/Dry Rechargeable Shaver, Blue

The Winner Is...

The Panasonic ES8109S 3-blade - barely. Put the Remington blades and cutter (keeping the center blade of the Panasonic) on a Panasonic 13,000 RPM shaver and you would have the World's best electric shaver. The Remington shaved a little closer than the Panasonic and provided a faster shave. However, the difficulty in cleaning, noise and lack of a charging base tipped me to the Panasonic as the final choice.

This is a review of three Panasonic models; ES8243A (4-blade), ES8109S (3-blade) and ES7109, the Remington MS2-390, the Norelco 8260 CC and the Braun Series 5 8995 (8985 & 8975 only differ in displays and cleaning). I have an average beard and have been using electric shavers (foils and rotaries) over 30 years. The models here are no better than any of the other higher quality shavers I've owned. It takes about 10 minutes (no shaver will give you a first-pass close shave) to get to that good dry shave (with or without pre-electric gels/oils) and you do have to put pressure on to get a close shave. This means recharging every 4-5 days. Gels/oils do make the process easier - not faster - and I have reviewed six of them on their Amazon sites.

ES8109S: This 3-blade shaver gives a very close shave, with some work. It does give off a higher pitch `whine', while shaving, that is somewhat annoying, but is not what I would consider noisy. Nor is the cleaning operation noisy. Based upon other reviewers, I was expecting it to sound like a lawn mower, but it is just an occasional buzzing noise as it cleans. The "Arc Foil" design slows shaving (see discussion, below).

ES8243A: I had hoped that the four blades of the Panasonic ES8243A just might be able to give a superior shave. As it turns out, the large four-blade surface is like trying to keep the end of a 2x4 on your face. It makes cutting in the areas where you don't have a lot of skin area (chin, jaw line, upper lip, base of sideburns, etc) more difficult. In fact, I think that the fourth blade in the middle actually interferes with a better shave and these two middle blades are not as good as the primary cutters. The "Arc Foil" design makes it even slower (see discussion, below). Another future problem with the 4-blade system is that you'll want to buy a new shaver when your blades and foil need to be replaced. What kind of an idiot is going to spend 80% of the cost of a new shaver just to get a set of new cutter blades and foil? All in all: the ES8243A 4-blade is a poor value.

ES7109S: The flat design of the foil is a better design than the "Arc Foil" (see below). Unfortunately, this shaver has an under-powered motor and the floating head that cannot be locked.

Panasonic discussion: Panasonic had developed an outstanding shaver line some ten years ago. My old ES8067 still shaves closer than this new "NANO Technology"- a misnomer (marketing gimmick). I think the reason is that Panasonic's older models came with cutting blades with the individual blades having been about half the width of all of Panasonic's newer cutting blades (including replacements). This means more surface area on the newer blades and that means less cutting. Remington has the ideal blades (that Panasonic used to make) and it shows in closer cutting and less time spent doing so. Additionally, these new Panasonic "Arc Foil" shavers have the foil curving AWAY from your face at the ends of the foil, further decreasing exposure to the blades and requiring many more passes to cover the same area. Unfortunately, Panasonic puts their better motor (13,000 RPMs) only on these ill-conceived "Arc Foil" designs. Battery time on the Panasonics is the shortest of all shavers reviewed here. The Panasonic trimmers are so narrow, on all of these models, that you will not be able to trim sideburns with one attempt. You will have to re-position the trimmer to get what you missed. This increases the probability that you will get an uneven sideburn.

The Remington MS2-390 has the blades that the Panasonics should have (and did have years ago): flat foil area (not "Arc Foiled"), good length (25% longer) and ultra thin cutting blades. As a result, closeness of the shave is better and time spent is shorter. This is, however, the loudest (and it is loud) of all shavers and there are no bells and whistles. Using a pre-shave oil/gel will gum up the blades, as with any shaver, but these blades pop off with even the slightest brushing so be prepared to watch them fall into the sink with every cleaning attempt. A charging stand would greatly increase the convenience of this shaver. Remington did a poor job with the details.

The Braun Series 5 8995 tries hard (you can hear noticeable slowing when necessary pressure is applied, like a lawn mower when it reaches thicker grass), but it doesn't get quite as close as the Panasonics or Remington without leaving a stronger burning sensation after the shave. The Braun can also leave burn marks and even cuts (nose and lips) that will bleed. Odd: you would think that, with it getting so close as to actually burn the skin, it would also give a closer shave. I suppose this is proof that shavers cannot "lift" hairs to cut better. Additionally, the design of the handle is inferior, making positioning more difficult. It does have a much wider trimmer and longer battery life between charges, though.

The Norelco 8260 CC: I used this rotary-type of shaver for many years during the 80's. I switched to foil and found I could get a closer shave. This is still the case. Additionally, because of the circular blades, it is somewhat difficult to target certain spots for cleanup. However, this is the quietest shaver.

PS: don't accept the nonsense about giving your face 30 days to adjust, unless you are coming off a blade. If you are accustomed to an electric shaver, you only need a week or two to determine the difference. The only thing magical about 30 days is that you can no longer return it for a refund - what a coincidence! - Wet Dry - Razor - Shaving - Electric Razor'

Power Converters - power converters, ac adapter

There is definitely a reason this item is so cheap. Even once the polarity and voltage input was set correctly, when we plugged it in it got very hot and started smoking. I was very afraid it was going to catch fire. Needless to say, we threw this thing away in a hurry. VCT VX-79NP - Multi-purpose Universal AC to DC Converter Adapter With Multiple Tips(1.5, 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, 9 and 12V DC) - 1000mA

After receiving item, I found it did not have a 2.5mm sub mini jack. I used a R*Shack Adapterplug "E" plug. The unit works as advertised. There is a temperature concern (120 degrees F) but not unusual since this transformer can deliver up to 1 amp. If you need only a few milliamps then go for an adapter with 300ma. Because of the heat, it's not for home use and needs to be isolated from flammable materials. I kept it on a power strip and kept the air vents clear. Heard that some blew up and that WILL happen if you are using the transformer to charge a battery built into the device and using a lower setting than the battery voltage. The battery having a higher voltage will send the extra voltage back to the adapter; overloading it. It is VERY important to match the voltage to the device. Some say that they put a volt meter on it and the voltage was higher than expected. That's because the unit is using a voltage regulator and needs active current to flow in order for the regulator to adjust the voltage to an acceptable level. I'm a technician with electronics background and not a complete expert by any means. That would require a Masters or PHD.

Bottom Line: This transformer (made in China) with no UL label can provide you the power you need for your equipment but due to it's lack of safety features and it's high heat dissipation should only be used by someone that knows electronics and more importantly voltages and current demands of their unit. This unit is unforgiving if you select the wrong voltage settings. It will smoke and cause fire.

Since this is not an expensive item, I wondered if it would really work for what I needed it. It DOES.

I use it with my Sony shower radio/CD player. I use the Sony for children's classes and music performances that I do. I was going through too many batteries, so the converter is a big money saver for me.

I needed 1.5 volts. At the 1.5 volt setting, this puts out 3!!! At the 12 volt setting, it puts out 24. At every setting, the voltage was doubled.

I need this for my Christmas display MP3 music player, so I put a two diode voltage clamper across the output which guarantees around 1.5 volts.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE A METER AND CAN'T CHECK THE OUTPUT, DO NOT USE THIS AS A POWER SOURCE!!!!! If you do, I believe you may be sorry you did. Unless of course, it's for an IPOD which are quite colorful when they smoke like that.

Actually, after a minute or two, it did seem to smell hot......

I ordered this for a hand held sewing machine that used batteries. It comes with 6 different adapter tips for use with a variety of products. I have only had the opportunity to use the 4.5 volt tip but it sure is handy to have the other ones so I don't have to keep buying batteries.

I have purchased several of these. I made some fake batteries using wood dowels and put screws in the ends to power my toy RC helicopters. Using this Multi-purpose Universal AC to DC power converter allows me to power my transmitter to charge and fly my RC Helicopter Collection. I have also made and given away several of my creations to family and friends. - Universal Power Adapter - Power Converters - Ac Adapter'
