E-sata - external hard drive, esata

Due to my own stupidity I didn't read the full and purchased the wrong cable. I just searched for "eSATA cable" and chose this one because I got free shipping with my Prime account. Read the title close (unlike me)- this is an eSATA to regular-SATA cable. If you are looking for a cable to connect an eSATA external hard drive to the eSATA port on computer this is NOT the correct one.

If this is the cable you are looking for it works just fine and the connectors and cable itself seem to be well made. IO Crest SY-CAB40019 18-Inch SATA to eSATA Transition Cable

I purchased this cable for use with with an external hard drive. Rather than backing up via USB I figured I could get much better performance by using eSATA. The cable seems to be built very well for the price.

I have a 2TB WD Caviar Green drive mounted in a Raygo drive enclosure. The Raygo comes with an eSata to eSata cable, but, I needed to connect the Raygo to my desktop's motherboard Sata connector. This adaptor cable did the trick, and what a screaming combination. Now, I transfer my DVD movie collection to the WD drive, then move it to my WDTV Live Hub.

Yip Yip Yippers!! It's got a clip on the L-shaped connection side (the SATA side) and it's the recomended length for full eSATA data transmission. Worst part is it's flat and doesn't make corners well. It's a pretty red and your girlfriends will love ya more. 7-pin - Esata Cable - Esata - External Hard Drive'

Usb Car Stereo - car stereo mp3 am fm cd, mp3

Before I ever installed the unit, I already had a bad feeling about it. Being intrigued by new stuff, I pulled it apart to inspect. What I found was worse than what I expected. The comments below are in addition to the comments already made & you should take theirs into consideration as well.

1. The unit weighs almost nothing. That hints at a lack of components & heatsink (which would be necessary if it had decent amplification).

2. There are NO RCA outputs on this unit, so no amplification is possible.

3. The lack of RCAs isn't missed much, due to the fact that the unit outputs to mono (yes, I was amazed to find both the left & right speaker wires coming out of the exact same solder joint.

4. The radio is really only capable of running two speakers (only has wires for two as well) & pushing 4 would likely run it into distortion quickly.

5. The radio used antiquated common ground speaker outputs. This is something that I haven't seen since the 80's. It means that the entire chassis of the car is used for the negative on the speakers. It's not a good thing for noise at all (whining).

6. The knobs on the unit are actually knobs. Like the kind you found on radios from the 80's. This means that the radio's tuning isn't digital & there are no seek functions or presets. It also means that the volume knob is really hard to use.

7. It appears that most of the solder work on the board is hand done (common of Chinese products) & not in a good way (I saw what are likely cold solder joints).

7. All of the buttons on the unit feel like they are the poor kind of microswitches that I only see on equipment that fails within a few months & so I wouldn'texpect much more out of these.

9. Top everything off by a MP3 menu system that is from the early days of MP3's & you really don't want this radio. PYLE PLR24MPF AM/FM Receiver MP3 Playback with USB/SD/AUX-IN

I bought this item thinking that is a very useful and that was what I was lookin for but.... what a fake.... is very easy to install... the sound is bad...it is hard and difficult to hear an USB device, if you do not prepare very well in the media player as an MP3 device it will not reconigze it, when you are playing and give some volume it distorsionate a lot....the final conclusion: you want an real and useful car stereo look for something with known brands, if not you can have bad surprises.

This unit is not for everybody, but if you want a simple, inexpensive low-end MP3 player for your car, it may be for you.

The AM-FM radio has digital tuning and works fine, but has no presets. If you feel you need 30 station presets, don't buy this.

The MP3 player has front panel slots for an SDHC card as well as a USB thumb drive. Buttons allow you to skip up/down one song, 10 songs, or a complete file. Additional controls include a rotary volume control (way better than pushbuttons in my opinion), a rotary "tone" knob that doesn't do much, a MUTE button, a LOUD button which is supposed to enhance bass and treble but doesn't have much effect, clock setting buttons and the file control buttons. The display is large and easy to read and is illuminated with a nice bright blue light. The front panel also has a mini phone plug input for an Ipod or CD player.

The claimed 160 watt power output is ridiculous. The unit draws about 8 watts primary power while driving two 4 ohm speakers at full volume. The real power output is probably about 5 watts. This provides adequate listening volume in my convertible at highway speeds, but it wil NOT shake the car or shatter your eardrums. If you want more power and enhanced tone, you could connect the player to one of the many available power amp/equalizers on the market. There are no RCA outputs on this player but many external amps can be connected direct to the speaker outputs.

The bottom line is, you're not going to get a $300 car stereo for under forty bucks, but if all you want is a simple device that handles SDHC cards and has a rotary volume control, without the added complexity of a built-in CD or cassette player, this unit fills the bill. An external equalizer/amplifier will add much improved tone and volume performance at considerably less cost than an integrated unit of comparable quality.

I was pleased to find something WITHOUT a CD or Cassette mechanism, since these mechanisms get dusty and malfunction, not to mention the storage hassle.

On installing the unit, I found that there is no "memory lead" for the clock, necessitating connecting it to the un-switched 12VDC lead, so the clock would maintain time.

My intent was to use the front panel audio input for the XM receiver. Well, the AUX Audio input is "wide open" and cannot be controlled by the unit's volume control! No problem, just use the FM receiver tuned to the frequency as before. Well, the radio receiver (AM and FM) drifts like a rudderless ship in a Typhoon!

The USB and SD Ports do work, but sound crummy. I guess that's because the Right and Left speaker leads are tied to the same terminal, producing only MONO, according to another Customer Review!

Good grief! If I were the folks at PYLE Audio, I'd refuse to have my "brand" on this unit! I can't figure why they'd market something like this.

I was so disappointed after installing it that I almost removed it by ramming my foot through the dash! I can assure you that when the replacement ALPINE unit arrives, I will use this PYLE (of junk)as a target for my .357 Magnum!

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT buy this unit under any circumstances! Even if it's free! If I could, I'd give it ZERO Stars.

Mine was a Pyramid rather than a Pyle but the exact same unit is available from several vendors. To say they suck is to damn with faint praise. The radio pulls in half the whole spectrum at a time, and the USB port is unpowered. Plus the electronics were not done correctly. I won't bore you with how or why but trust me, you can find better uses for the $30. - Mp3 Player - Usb Car Stereo - Car Stereo Mp3 Am Fm Cd - Mp3'

Darya Trading - darya trading, wedding

I have recently joined a band on the Gold Coast ,Queensland Australia, playing middle of the road music and the guys all wear white tuxedo jackets for the first two brackets.I searched here and no-one could help with a jacket, bar one store who could get one from Melborne and it would take 2 weeks to get here. Then I found your site, ordered, and by weeks end the parscel arrived, could not believe it,all the way from the USA. Amazing customer service.I would have no hesitation in purchasing from you again. will send a picture of the group as soon as they are available from the photographer. Happy New Year Team.

Roger Dunlop New Mens Single Breasted (SB) One Button White Tuxedo Suit - High Quality, Low Cost, Great Value!

Was hesitate to order a tux online but the company shipped right out, priced right and good quality. My son loved it and will wear it again. It was a lot more economical than renting for one time and except for hemming it was a perfect fit.

I ordered this suit for my brother who had been searching for a white suit for months. All of the suits he found were costing $170.00 up to $278.00 and did not look that great. He's a tall/big guy. I found this and we decided to take a chance on ordering it. He absolutely loves it!!!! The suit looks very rich and elegant as if he spent tons of money on it. He looks great in it!!!! I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a very nice elegant white suit -- that this is the one!!!!This is a great deal for and very inexpensive price.

Very Satisfied Customer

I'm getting married in April and wanted to wear a white dinner jacket or tux jacket for the ceremony. My fiancee and I live in Cincinnati and are getting married in Las Vegas, so renting became problematic. I thought I'd just bite the bullet and buy a white jacket. This one seemed reasonably priced and got excellent reviews, so I ordered it. It arrived today, and I was surprised to find pants included with the jacket. I figured that for the price, I was only getting a jacket. Turns out, it's for an entire, nicely made suit! I couldn't be happier!

I purchased this for part of a costume - so I wasn't expecting great quality to start with - but this is just shameful. When my husband put it on you could see the seams and shoulder pads through the fabric, it was so thin! On top of that, the arms are really poorly constructed. The seam on the side back should meet up with the seam of the sleeves, and they are completely off. Also, the arms are HUGE - as if they were constructed for a muscle builder or very flabby arms.

It is a Dinner Jacket, but for the cost don't expect anything great - imagine Walmart quality.

I bought this for my nephew who needed it in a large size not normally carried. He couldn't find one and was leaving for his event in 8 days. I turned to Amazon.com and found this item in his size. He received it in 4 days with plenty of time to have the pants hemmed. Yes they came unhemmed like all good quality mens wear. The tux fit him perfectly. It was very good quality, and well made. He'll be ordering from here again with confidence. - Wedding - Darya Trading - Tux - Suits'

Vintage Costume Jewelry Reference - jewelry history and design, sca

This is probably the best general overview one could ask of the subject of jewelry history. Starting around 30,000 BC and ending around 1988, the book (printed 1996) covers a wide variety of styles and eras. It is lavishly illustrated in color and b/w, with excellent detail. Of course, being that it is only 200 pp or so, it's not going to be able to go in depth anywhere, but it still manages to get its points across regarding trends, technology, and sociology and how they all affected jewelry styles. The halfway point in this book is the Elizabethan era, so the entire latter half of the book falls outside SCA period. Very little indeed covers the period I'm most interested in, Italy of the 15th century. It also seems enamored with the "popular" eras -- little attention is paid to non-European countries once the Ancient Egyptian and Greco-Roman classic periods are dealt with. However, it's still a fascinating read, and a great introduction to the subject. The bibliography is quite extensive, giving the reader plenty of places to take up additional study. In summary, I would suggest that any history or costuming enthusiast pick this up. Jewelry: From Antiquity to the Present (World of Art)

Usually when I buy a book on jewelry, I merely gaze longingly at the pictures. Not so with this book! I read it from cover to cover. It help my interest and provided wonderful pictures along with the history of (mostly) Western jewelry. My only complaint is I wish that ALL the pictures had been in color!

Jewelry: From Antiquity to the Present is a well written book with accompanying pictures to exemplify every style of jewelry popular in the Old World throughout history. Focusing primarily on Europe, this is a great overview of all the techniques and materials used in jewelry creation. The book is enjoyable enough to read page by page, as opposed to using it solely as a reference book. I highly suggest it to anyone interested in gaining an understanding of how jewelry has evolved throughout history.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and it has done its job - leaving me wanting to know more. Clare Phillips covers the trends and machinations of each distinct period in jewellery making so I gained a good understanding of the styles of jewellery and their evolution and the historic influences of society and how this manifested in jewellery. It is well written and easy to follow with wonderful colour and black and white plates as the best examples of the period discussed. If you don't know the various styles of jewellery and their production period - this is an ideal book to start learning.

This is the book i've been looking for, a complete review about jewelery history, with good pictures and confiable information.Best for those who want to have an overview since the ancient world up to the modern times.

Clare Phillips's small volume is the best short history of jewelry I have ever seen. The text, though relatively slender, is packed with information, and the illustrations are lovely and educational. If you can only afford one book on the history of jewelry, this is the book to get. - Jewelry History And Design - History - Jewelry - Sca'

Leather Case - leather case, g11

I'm not sure what the other reviewer was smoking but this case fits the Canon G10 PERFECTLY. Leather is sometimes a little stiff when it is new, so maybe that was their problem. Every professional photographer knows that you do not want a camera to fit loosely in a case, because whenever it moves around (even a little) it causes friction, and friction ALWAYS causes wear and tear. In any event this case is well made. There is a loop on the back of it so that you can wear it on your belt if you want. This would come in handy on vacations. The cases lid is held on by TWO forms, one is a standard snap closure, and the second is a magnetic action so that the snap doesn't accidentally come undone. The entire inside of the case is finished in very fine and smooth suede. Stitching is very nice and in some places it is even double stitched. There are recesses on each side of the case (around where the camera straps would be) so that you can easily grab the camera to remove it from the case. If you own a G10 then you will definitely want to own this case, even if you have another camera case with all of your other gear. You've probably spent a lot of money on your Canon G10, and this case is made to protect it from any wear, and that's a job that is does very well. Canon PSC5100 Deluxe Leather Case for PowerShot G10

This leather case is everything that I wanted it to be!!! I was looking a streamlined case to protect my G10 while I carry it around in my purse. I was looking for something as compact as possible yet still protective. This case fits the bill perfectly. I have a larger case that I use to store my extras and accessories in, but wanted a separate compact one just for my camera. It is extremely well made and very sturdy and I love the look!!! I like that there is openings on the sides of the case for the neck straps to come out, it makes it very easy to carry the camera. I have no use for the belt loop. As the other reviewers have mentioned there is no additional storage space in this case for extra batteries or memory cards, this case will only fit your camera, so if extra space is important to you then chose another case. Overall, I love this case! It serves my needs perfectly!!!

This case is a real disappointment.

The biggest problem is that the camera fits too snugly and it is difficult to get out of the case. One of the reasons that I bought a G10 was because I wanted to be able to take pictures quickly and inconspicuously. I did not expect that Canon's case would require a struggle to remove the camera.

Another drawback is that the case does not have a strap of it's own. It does have a small loop which is presumably meant to go around the G10 strap. That doesn't work too well because the loop fits too snugly (again) around the G10 strap. Therefore, once you extract the camera you now have a bulky case jammed up against the side of the camera impeding it's use. The loop is too small for the case to easily slide away from the camera.

This case was not cheap at $30. I was expecting more.

Other comments:

There is no sleeve or storage pocket for cards, lens paper, etc.

The case is compact, nice looking and great for minimal protection while transporting the camera. It just is not at all functional as a case to be used while shooting.

I feel there must be a better case out there. My seach continues...

This is the case for Canon G10 and fits the camera perfectly. It's a little big and somewhat useless (the size precludes the use of the belt strap, unless you don't mind your pants falling down!) But at least, it protects the camera body and the question of fit, which was raised by another reviewer, does not apply. This is the correct case for Canon G10.

The casing isn't snug fit like the other poster mention. I have had this case for a couple of months and did buy it here couple of months ago [...].

Anyways, The casing itself is quality leather (of course, c'mon by Canon). I like the magnetic part of the case so I never have to snap it on or worry that I forgot to. It fits the camera perfectly. It's not a snug fit, but it's not loose either.

The cons to this is that there is no extra pocket. I would like to put a microfiber sheet in a pocket of the casing, but there isn't any pocket. There isn't any strap for it and you would have you use your strap on the camera and there are openings on both sides so the strap and stick out. I would rather have a strap on the casing or something I can attach a strap on the casing because I would like the convenience of having the case around my neck/wrist to take pictures and not have to worry about looking for a place to put the case or trying to hold the chunk.

The case is alright, but there are OTHER cases that would float my boat.

I recently purchase the Canon G11. Not liking any of the cases I saw at Best Buy, I went to Amazon and came across this case for the G10. I assumed the G10 and G11 were the same size, I ordered the case. I was not disappointed because it was cheaper than the nylon cases at Best Buy. The leather is smooth. The stitching is of high quality. I would recommend for any G10 or G11 owner. - Canon G10 - Leather Case - G11 - Camera Accessories'

Micro Usb Cable - cable, usb cable

I bought this USB cable to plug my cell phone into its charger as well as into my computer. It won't stay in.

The Micro B end of the cable has a very huge box around it, which works ONLY IF the device you're plugging it into has a flat area around the edges. If your cell phone has a slight slant to the outer casing of the USB port, it will not fit in at all, or will constantly slide off.

The cable really should have had a narrow end, it really shouldn't be necessary to have a thick end on the cable! AmazonBasics USB Cable - 2.0 A Male to Micro B (6 Feet / 1.8 Meters)

When I was looking for a set of cables to charge my EVO 4g I looked at Sprint and then here. Amazon provides the same high quality as any OEM material at a price that can't be beat. I was able to purchase 3 of these cables and a car charger for the price of ONE charger through Sprint.

Pros

- they work; not all the cables you can buy at Amazon actually work for PC-phone data (hint - cheap, 1 meter long)

- build quality is fine

- the micro B end connector label is raised, which makes it easy to plug it in by feel; this is saving my phone jack lots of abuse

Cons

- these would be cheaper and generate way less trash if they shipped in bubble envelopes

Each of my two cables was packaged in its own cigar box. The cigar boxes came in an enormous box filled with lots of little air bags so nothing could rattle. I was astonished when I found my back-ordered cables inside. I thought I'd be in trouble for opening something my wife ordered.

I purchased 4 of these cables from amazon. Have received many of their basic usb cables before and been satisfied. Two of the four cables fried out from shorted wiring. Just the large usb was plugged in and nothing on the micro side. Have returned them and would not recommend these micro usb cables.

I bought this to replace a Kindle cord that broke within the first couple of weeks. This has also quit working after only a weeks worth of use. I'm done with Amazon made cords. I have owned three kindle cords that all quit working within a month. This one was even worse.

I will be moving to a more expensive and hopefully much more reliable product. - Usb Cables - Usb - Usb Cable - Cable'

Tripod Stand - tripod stand

I bought a set of these from Amazon's warehouse deals page with a discount because of some expected damage. They showed up in pretty good shape though to my surprise!

I was expecting some damage to the items, but hoping that between the 2 of them that i would be able to salvage enough to put together one full stand. I bought these because I needed ONLY 1 stand with good height on it for mounting my 32" LCD Hitachi Flat screen to it. I use this TV in my studio so that everyone can see what's going on when we record and work on music. I needed something that was going to be sturdy and hold the TV high enough that everyone in the studio would be able to see it all the time.

Both stands showed up in good and working condition. They go up to about 8' tall and are perfect for mounting speakers onto, although I use it to mount my TV about ceiling height which is about the same weight as my speakers if not more. They work GREAT! I'm going to add some pictures of my creation when i get around to it, give me about a month.... Pyle-Pro PSTK103 2x Heavy Duty Aluminum Speaker Stands with Travel Bag

These stands are a great deal. They are the typical strong speaker stands, but are priced much lower than other comparable stands. They also come with a nylon carrying bag. The bag's zipper pull came off early on, but the bag is a strong and works without it.

These speaker stands are very light weight and are sturdy enough. The mechanics are backward that when you open the legs the stand raises, so in the set up position be prepared to hoist your speaker fairly high in the air in the lowest setting. Buy the pair if you need to raise your speakers up.

The stands I give them 4 stars but the delivery sucks. UPS does not care how there packages get delivered. The box the stands came in look like there where run over it was sad . This is not the first time and there was a hole in the carry bag it came in. Fed X does a much better job by far. Yes I would recommend this to any one but only if anyone els delivers it other than UPS. - Tripod Stand'

Remington Beard Trimmer

I was looking for a cheap trimmer for my beard, which I usually keep pretty short. I bought this without seeing it in a store. I think I had seen that it had good reviews here, and it was under thirty bucks, which I figured was a good limit for something that is only going to last so long. I didn't need anything fancy. I got exactly what I was looking for, but I'm surprised how well it works. There aren't any parts that seem like they'll fall apart, and it's got a great feel in the hand. I like the action on it a lot. My first trim was immediately better and much quicker then the previous trimmer I had (which had died on me). I think this is a great deal for someone who needs an occasional shave of a beard. I really like it. Nothing fancy but it gets the job done very well. I can't think of how it would be better.

I bought the predecessor to this beard trimmer more than three years ago, and loved it. After carelessly dropping my old one I broke it, and am back for another.

Pros:

* Scrolling wheel height adjustment.

----> A very nice feature, the height holds well, unlike some trimmers. You can use pressure against your face and it won't retreat to a shorter height setting that creates a thin spot.

----> After only two or three times, you will know how high you want it. For example, I always trim my beard on a "6" and my mustache on a "4"

* Removable head to trim beard edges.

* Strong motor/ blades provide pain-free trim.

* Holds its charge for a long time. (I charge it full before I travel, and don't even bother packing the charger, because I trust it to function the whole week.)

* Shaver head lifts easily to remove stray hair that gets into the motor area.

* Cordless -> To avoid having to clean the bathroom after a big trim, (If I didn't trim for a week or so) I will take it in the back yard and set it 1 setting higher ("7" instead of "6"). Then I give it a quick hit to get rid of the long hair, and then return to the bathroom to finish the detail work.

Cons:

* It will need a place to lay flat, or a pouch to hang in. It doesn't stand on end, and the charger unit plugs into the base (at the bottom end of the demo picture).

* I did mention I broke my old one. I had removed the height guard, and was emptying the hair from under the shaver head. The pivot is plastic, and while I had it open, I dropped the shaver. It landed head down (of course) and the pivot broke. Totally user error, but it is a weak spot.

----------

Final Thoughts:

I love this thing. It provides a quick clean trim. I would say that it usually takes no less than 3 minutes for a quick trim, maybe as long as 8-10 minutes if I am going to detail the edges after a month of quick trims.

I highlighted some cons for a fair review, but I have nothing against this razor. It trimmed well for three years, and was still holding a charge for weeks when I broke it.

(I liked it even more after trying the Remington PG350 Precision Deluxe Rechargeable Personal Grooming Kit. I bought that quick because I needed a trim, and it confirmed how well this razor worked, and shaped my thoughts for this review. To compare to a bad item, check my review of that item.)

I was about to shave my beard off about two months ago having been feed up with keeping it trim. I used a trimmer intended for hair cutting and it did not work well at all, especially the incessant hair pulls. I noticed this trimmer on Amazon and its good reviews, so I ordered one. I've used it now for the last two months and very pleasantly surprised by the results and ease of use. No more hair pulls and the trimming head never needs lubrication. I especially like the height adjustment mechanism. I've yet needed to recharge it over those two months. I wish it had a charge indicator but nevertheless, given the results, I highly recommend it and have to rate it 5 stars.

This appears to be an updated version of a Remington trimmer that served well for many years.

After a months use, I can report that the stability of the trim length setting has been improved, and the trimmer blades no longer require lubrication. The quality of the beard trim is also improved, allowing for rapid trimming.

If this new trimmer is as durable as my first, I will more that satisfied.

The good: the trimmer works great!

The bad:

1) no charging stand.

2) it has the short life NiCad batteries instead of the more modern NiMh.

3) the recycle law has been met by the letter rather than the spirit of the law. The batteries which will last not much more than 2 years are soldered in. Thus when the batteries go south, you can cut them out but likely most people will not be able to solder in replacements. Thus a product that could last 10 years is likely in the trash at three years.'

This battery charger is very simple but works very well. It is much more affordable than other Blackberry chargers on the market. You will not be disappointed with this product and the shipping was fast! This has helped me keep a charged spare battery at all times and has never let me down! External Battery Charger Cradle for BlackBerry Pearl Curve 8330 8350i 8520 8530 BB8100CHAGBAT02

I love this handy little item. Small, has a self-storing plug in the back so it doesn't take up much room at all.

What a lifesaver it is, and it works well for my Curve 8530. My previous phone was an 8330 and apparently they share the same battery.

This thing works great! It'll shut down if you leave it plugged in (which I'm guilty of far more often than I care to admit) so no worries about it going into a charge/discharge loop. I've been using it with my spare batteries for my Curve for several months now, and no problems whatsoever. Charges fast, works great, and feels like a solid piece of equipment, too.

I bought this device for my external battery for my BB 8520.

It's great device and it dose the job but it's really slow in charging, but I have no problem in that.

Shipping was good and also the price is wonderful.

External Battery Charger Cradle for BlackBerry Pearl Curve 8330 8350i 8520 8530 BB8100CHAGBAT02

This first charger I received did not appear to work at all. After leaving batteries in "charger" all night long, not charged at all.

The seller offered to send me a replacement, not requiring that I send the old one back - the reason I hadn't asked to return the first one is I assumed that I would have to return the old one, and that a return would have been more cost and trouble than it was worth. The replacement unit works pretty well. Only remaining complaint is that the charge is one bar less than the full charge that my blackberry wall charger can achieve. Still, is pretty handy for the price. Will likely buy another so I have one for home, one for office. Seller stood behind their product very well - didn't anticipate they would be this willing to make it right. 4 stars to product, 5 stars to vendor.

This wall charger is perfect for the days where I know I am going to be out the house all day and will not have access to an outlet. Obviously, i charge my (spare) battery, also purchased on Amazon, and when my current battery reaches red, it switch them out. By the time I get home, my battery will last and I charge the dead one. The battery takes about 5hrs to fully charge and when it is done, the light on the charger turns off. Its basic, simple and I love always having a spare full battery on me. In my opinion, its better than charging the phone through the travel charger.

I am a loyal custumer and shop all the time on Amazon, and as a rule I am pleased with all my purchases and products. NOT THIS ONE! I may have gotten the one lemon they made but needless to say this product did not work. it was not an expensive item so I did not bother to read the reviws, or see if there were any reviews on the External Battery Charger Cradle for BlackBerry Pearl Curve 8330 8350i 8520 8530 BB8100CHAGBAT02. The most accurate depiction of the cover colors is the photograph at the bottom of the sales page.

Burnt Orange -- same shade as a basketball

Burgundy Red -- closer to a vibrant brick red as it has no purple overtone

Steel Blue -- pure grey blue which shows well on web page

Hot Pink -- deeper shade than it appears anywhere but photograph

Amazon hasn't reacted yet, but there are numerous discussion threads on the Kindle page here and the Kindle Facebook page about a technical problem with these non-light book covers. They appear to be causing the Kindles to short out (they actually hook into the Kindle with metal tags). Since it seems to have started in the winter months, I read a theory that it might be from static electricity transmitting from the cover into the device.

It started out as a mystery - my Kindle, which had worked well for the first few months after I bought it, began to malfunction in November, to the point that I could no longer use it for reading. It wouldn't wake up from its screen saver - I'd have to force it to reboot just to get it to unfreeze, and it would need to reboot two or three times before it would show me my desktop.

The battery would drain after only about 5 or 6 hours, meaning I could read it in the morning but not in the afternoon. Eventually, i couldn't read it at all - it would take so many reboots to get it operating that my dog walk or my lunch break would be over! Amazon said before calling customer service to report a battery problem I should leave it uncharged for 7 days to see if the battery could hold on that long. It bricked itself after 18 hours. No amount of charging it after that brought it back to life again.

But when the replacement product arrived and I placed it into the cover I'd kept from the first one, it happened all over again, right from the first day! Amazon told me they wouldn't send me another one (I guess they decided I was trouble for having to broken kindles in one week), so i started reading about the problem.

As soon as I saw the threads positing that this was a cover malfunction, I pulled my new kindle out of the cover. It's only been a few hours, but I have a normal Kindle again! Fast page turns, always wakes up from screen saver as it should, and in every respect has been worry-free since I took it out of the cover.

Please avoid any cover that hooks into the Kindle with metal tags. The problem is very hard to diagnose because it manifests as a battery problem, but the problem is probably static shocks coming from the cover directly into the Kindle's electrical system. And Amazon, stop selling these covers and allow us to return the ones we've already purchased as part of a defective product recall.

I am very pleased with this cover. It is very protective, a nice shade of blue and very compact. It does fold over. I know some people don't realize this. The leather is stiff at first but it will fold over and soften after a few days. I had the official cover for kindle 2 and they have made some improvements. The leather is a better quality, they now offer a choice of colors and the spine doesn't feel like it will fall apart. Overall having the elastic is nice as well as it makes it more secure. I like that it makes the kindle feel more like a book and the hinge system is really nice. I like the clean look and won't be buying any cover that puts corner straps on the device. My one con is it weighs 5.7 ounces and while that is not heavy it really could be more like 4 ounces as they probably make the cover heavier than it really needs to be and still be protective.

I had been having issues with my Kindle WiFi not turning on when it had been in sleep mode, or rebooting while it was asleep causing the last save location in a book to be reset. Amazon Support sent me a replacement Kindle and I had the same exact issues. I read a story on a forum about removing the cover and thought I would try it. I was very skeptical but removing the cover has fixed my problems. I have not had any resets with the device since removing it. It was happing several times a day before and now I have gone days without a reset. Amazon Support also would not allow me to return the defective item since it has been over 30 days.

Called Tech Support to check why my 2 day old kindle would not work and they said the cover seems to be causing the issue. They suggested the lighted cover. I will give that a try and review my experience. For now even kindle tech support doesn't reccommend this cover.

I thought this to be a wonderful case for about a month and a half. It is attractive, seems well-constructed, and I quite enjoyed the feel of it.

However, after that month and some change, my Kindle failed to wake up from its slumber. I had to do a restart every time I wanted to read on it. I checked the Kindle Customer Service Q & A Forum, where I discovered I was not the only one with the difficulty. In fact, it was not the Kindle - it was the case! The hinges mess with the circuity of the Kindle. Electronics are not my strong suit, but ever since I removed my Kindle from the leather case permanently, I have had no trouble with the Kindle itself.

There are some wonderful covers that work well with Kindle. Just not this one.

Best of luck - enjoy your Kindle! - Kindle Covers - Leather Kindle Cover - Kindle Leather Cover - Kindle Accessory'

Trail Camera - wildlife camera, trail camera

Firstly, I want to make clear that I'm not using this camera for its intended purpose; I'm using it to try and find my lost cat by locating the camera near where he's been sighted, and then placing food to attract cats.

That being said, the camera has worked perfectly for my needs. It is easy to set up; the quick start guide steps you through setting up the time, photo/video, photo resolution, number of shots per trigger, and period between triggers. It has a nice, long adjustable strap for placing around trees, fence posts, etc. The camera's heavy-duty case is also lockable, as long as the lock has a small bar. I used a small padlock which is locked to a cable bike lock and the camera. At one feeding station location, the camera was vandalized by kids who tried unsuccessfully to remove the camera; failing at that, they tried to smash the lens. They managed to scratch the plastic lens shield, but the camera still takes good photos despite the scratches. The plastic covering of the digital info display was cracked open as well, but the camera still functions perfectly.

The night-vision works very well. I have placed the camera at a maximum of 3 feet from the feeding station, and can easily tell on the night photos whether a cat is black, gray, white, or tabby. The camera also has an aim feature that allows you to determine where the lens is aimed for optimal placement.

I was also concerned at first, because I'd heard that some of the game cameras won't detect smaller animals like cats. This camera has captured 7 different cats at 3 feeding station locations (none of them was my cat, sadly), as well as people walking by, crows, dogs, and bushes waving in the wind. I imagine that, if I were a hunter, I would find this to be a very useful tool for spotting game. I also am favorably impressed by the battery life. This camera has been running more or less constantly for 2 weeks straight on 6 C-cells, and the battery life indicator is at 89%. At this rate, I don't anticipate needing to replace the batteries for a couple of months. If I were placing this out in the bush, I would be able to rely on it staying on for quite a long time without needing to be babysat; I think the SD card would fill up before the battery ran out.

I give it 4 stars because there is no on-board memory, and it requires an SD card in order to operate. Also, there's no onboard display, so if you were a hunter, you'd either need to take the SD card all the way home to review the photos, or take your laptop out to the bush with a card reader. Not ideal. I have no idea if the photos taken by the Moultrie would show on another digital camera's display or not; I know other game cameras have problems with this kind of cross-compatibility. The camera does have a USB out feature, but that apparently only works for PCs, and I'm a Mac user. Moultrie Gamespy 5 Megapixel Digital Infrared Game Camera

This camera is outstanding, definitely 5 stars. I highly recommend it. I have several different cameras-this one is far superior to the others. The key with any camera is to not face it East because off morning sun unless you are in Pine trees or shaded area. It is good to face it where a trail comes toward it. The battery life is amazing, and the fast triggering exceptional. I had a large buck rub and scrape--I positioned camera about 20' from rub and the camera took 21 pictures of the buck crystal clear at night-great photographic quality. Surprisingly the flash had no affect on him as far as scaring him. Daytime photos are better than my other more expensive cameras. Programing the Moultrie couldn't be easier. I couldn't be happier with this camera. I also bought lock box for it and purchased a heavy chain and lock. No need to donate great camera to the wood's fairy. Don't hesitate buy Moultrie, buy the best.

This is my third Moultrie camera. All three are in the woods taking pictures of deer as I write. I purchased the D-55IR early in October and and has been in the woods for around 4 weeks. Still running on original batteries and taking great pictures. What I like about all my Moultrie cameras is that you can set them up without the manual. As far as not seeing the pictures in the woods, take your point and shoot camera with you. You can zoom in on the pictures to see whats on them. Sometimes I exchange the cards before I hunt and look at them while I'm in the stand. I am looking at buying a couple more of the D-55IR just so I don't have to buy three different sizes of batteries that my other cameras use.

My Moultrie game camera failed the second time it was used. It was still under warranty. I reported to Moultrie and received no response. I reminded them near (but before) the end of the warranty period and they apologized, explaining that they had mislaid my earlier request for help. I followed the instructions they provided and found that indeed the unit would need their repair, but when I contacted them, they refused to help because by this time, the warranty had elapsed. I am pursuing complaints through the State Attorneys General of Ohio and Alabama and am considering a claim in court. Upon looking for help I noticed other reviews by consumers that had warranty problems with Moultrie.

This item was purchased brand new and didn't work right from the box. The directions were followed too the letter with no results. The company's customer service is non-existent. Attempted 7 phone calls and was put on hold each time for up to 40 minutes. Attempted several emails using their website with no response or results. The warranty is equally worthless because you have to contact their customer service department for their reimbursement procedures. My advice save your money and purchase another product. Moultrie Gamespy 5 Megapixel Digital Infrared Game Camera

This review does not apply to this product directly, but MOULTRIE in general. I purchased a MOULTRIE game camera that was non-operational out of the box. I contacted MOUTRIE after a 50 minute wait time. They sent a RA to return the camera. Instead of replacing the camera they insisted on reparing it even though it was just purchased and never used. The quoted repair time was 3-4 weeks. I did receive an email stating it was repaired and in shipping. That was 8 days ago. I have tried to contact MOULTRIE by email several times to find out why it has not shipped. There was no reply to the emails. I tried by phone 4 or 5 times, but everytime there was a 45-60 minute wait time. Either they do not have the personnel to handle their product or there product have a very poor reliability. Either way, the customer suffers. Sorry I even bought the thing!!!! - Hunting - Wildlife Camera - Spy Cam - Trail Camera'

Aqua Sphere - kids, swim gear

Highly recommended. I bought these for my 5 year old son who was afraid of getting his eyes wet and going under water. They cost a little bit more than the regular goggles, but well worth it. They don't fog up, water never gets in them like regular goggles. The strap is so easy to adjust. I love them! He can put them on himself with not problem and they are very durable. Towards the mid summer he got the confidence to swim under water with them on and by the end of the summer was going under with out them. Aqua Sphere Seal Kid Swim Goggle (Clear Lens, Lime)

I purchased two of these goggles for my swimming toddlers after reading the rave reviews about fit. For the first couple of weeks they were great and I was a big fan. I rinsed them after every use and stored them in the original packaging. However, after about 2-3 weeks of use both of them started leaking and I can't seem to figure out why - other than the gasket has already lost its shape and cannot form a complete seal anymore. Very disappointing. Both of my kids ask to use their old individual eye goggles (that they hated before) after about 15 minutes of having to empty water out of these Aqua Spheres each time they go under. Wouldn't recommend for 3 or 4 year olds.

I am giving these four stars because aside from one issue, they are very well designed. I like the wider visibility these have - it's easier for kids to get used to than the limited visibility of separate goggles. The mechanisms for adjusting the straps work extremely well and the whole goggle frame is quite flexible, which should make it comfortable to wear.

However, the one issue I have with them is the way they're cut around the nose. The only way they will seal is if the child has a high bridge to their nose - which most toddlers and many young children do not. When I put them on my 3 year old, there was a large gap between her nose and the gasket, no matter how tight the goggle strap was. They also did not seal on a 4 and 5 year old that I tried them on. Interestingly, they do fit me quite well, and if I hadn't ordered the pink ones I would wear them - I'm a guy and slightly embarrassed to wear bright pink swim goggles.

So they will probably work well for older children or those with a high bridge, but I would not recommend them if your child has a low bridge/dipped nose.

I bought this pair for for my daughter when she was 18 months old. She was taking ISR lessons and we were swimming almost daily. She cried when we tried to put on regular goggles. The rubber straps would pull on what little hair she had making her scream. The tightening and fastening design is what drew me to these AQUA SPHERE SEAL swim goggles. I can easily slip on the goggles and tighten the straps on each side.

My daughter is almost 3 and we still use the goggles, however, she has much more hair now and it gets caught in the release button when we take them off. She doesn't scream so much as say, "Owie! Owie!" Being mindful of this makes a tangle happen less often and overall the ease of putting them on makes up for the possibility of a slight pain in taking them off.

If they need goggles, these are the best option for babies and toddlers.

These larger goggles are far superior to the smaller, two-piece style. Your child gets a wider field of view, allowing them to see much more, especially for pool sports other than swimming.

We've bought three pairs of these over the last four years. They would last longer, but they've gotten scratched in handling (not in use).

Recommended, but we wish they didn't scratch. Four stars. - Kids - Swim Gear - Goggle'

Combo - telescopic fishing rod

I saw the price here and thought it was a "reel" good deal. I see why it is discounted so much.

This combo is not very well balanced. It feels tip heavy although weighing just 1.25 lbs. It has a size 40 reel which is set too far forward in the grip which may contribute to the tip heavy feel. The crank is a bit wobbly when fully tightened.

The (2) rod sections are a tight fit, but I found that applying a bit of o-ring lube/light oil to the rubber on the second piece made the assembly much easier. I would call this rod a medium/heavy (fresh water) comparing to my other (2) medium/light combos.

I will use this for trolling and big fish I may encounter.

Pay a few dollars more and get a better-balanced combo.

Jackson Quantum Optix Spinning Combo Optix Reel with 7'0-Inch Medium 2 Piece Rod

My husband and I took this rod out to the 3 mile bridge in Pensacola for some speckled trout action. Instead I hooked a monster redfish that bent this rod double (I was sitting on the bow and the fish pulled the rod tip into the water and tried to take it under the boat). My hook failed not the rod. My husband then landed a 24 inch 5 lb redfish with this rod. I am very pleased with this rod. Can't wait to take it out again (maybe a nice little shark next time).

This is a great deal! I think the pole is a second though, because of not being able to fit the poles together. The rubber end on the end pole was to large to fit into the lower rod. We cut the rubber off and put glue into the lower rod and put them together. The rod works great, it is now a one piece rod! - Telescopic Fishing Rod'
