Computer Repair - air duster, cleaning

If youre looking for a cheap can of compressed air that is also a good quality can of compressed air then you will be happy with this product. I have bought a few different types of cheap compressed air over the last couple of years and have gotten both good and bad brands. For example, stay away from "Blow Off" brand. That brand has very low air pressue and once the can gets cold the air pressue is almost non-existant. But these can seem to be excellent. I used about 1/3 of a can my first usage and not only did it have excellent air pressure but also kept it even as the can got cold.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because about half of the nozzle straws were missing. Other than that these are very good cans of cheap air. Will buy again. Air Power Dusters Quantity: 6 per Pack

I have a cleaning business and it was getting expensive to buy canned air even from the big box stores. I use it to "dust" knick knacks that have little intricacies and hard to reach places. I will be buying from them again as the service was fast.

I bought a case (i.e sixteen cans) of canned air on eBay and when it arrived I found that it was butane! HUGE warnings all over the cans telling me it was EXTREMLY FLAMMABLE! I traded those sixteen cans to my local computer guy for six cans of 3M brand he had in stock. I also bought these as a backup and they're fine and SAFE. I use these to blow bug carcasses out of my bug lights,(while off of course), and didn't want to risk the can exploding in my face,(not to mention the fact that each butane can has the explosive force of dynamite!). These are safer.

I shopped around the chain brick&mortar stores as well as some computer stores and ounce-for-ounce this is the best deal.

No need to pay big $$$ for name brand (Falcon Dust-Off or Endust) after all, it's just compressed air right?

I bought (2) six packs and the seller charged the same shipping rate as if I'd only bought one...so that's even sweeter.

I did get charged a sales tax $2.28 that's a bit puzzling.

Overall, at $40.17 total for (12) cans 10oz calculates out to $0.33/ounce.

They work perfectly, keeping all my techno-electronics and camera gear dust/lint free.

Every can is individually wrapped and includes plastic tube for the more finite air-blasting cracks & crevices....gotta keep the $3500 MacBook clean!

I recommend this product whole-heartedly and this seller too! The seller is MyOfficeProducts

This product arrived yesterday. What a bargain! 6 large cans of pressurized air - more than I need really but it won't go to waste. Besides using this product to clean my computer, I also use it to dust baskets, intricate items which can't be dusted conventionally and blasing out tight spaces in furniture. Much less expensive than buying in an admin superstore and delivery was less than 48 hours.

Thanks, Amazon!

This has got to be one of the best buys on the planet! Great pressure, wonderful price. Unlike one reviewer, mine came with all the tubes attached. Besides, you should always save a few, they are the same size as almost any other spray can that uses them. Did I mention the price? With this much air around, I'm using for a lot of things and often. I think I'll order a couple a month for as long as long as they are available.

I regularly buy cans of compressed air and have tried lots of different brands. I am always looking for the best price. I searched online and this was the best price I've found. I ordered the six pack. Very satisfied with both the shipping (got it the next day) and the product. It works as well as any other canned air products I've tried and quite a bit cheaper. - Air Duster - Compressed Air - Cleaning - Duster'

Iphone Cover - iphone cover

This was exactly what I was looking for! Fits the phone like a glove without making it bulky. It slides on easy and doesn't mess up my screen protector causing those annoying bubbles that let dirt under them like other covers did. Perfect protection for my phone (considering I drop mine a lot)!! I am so satisfied with the quality of the product that this is the only product I have actually taken the time to write a review about. Seller ships out quickly too!! Apple iPhone 3G 3Gs 8GB 16GB 32GB Textured Silicone Skin Case Cover + Free Screen Protector, Black, One Size

I ordered this case as I wanted to get something to protect my fragile new iPhone 3gs. There were a lot of choices out there so I figured I'd go with something inexpensive that had a screen protector and had gotten solid reviews.

I have the white version of the iphone so I went with a white case. It shipped quickly and arrived safely. I was pleased initially with the case, specifically the screen protector which once properly applied has stayed snugly in place and doesn't seem to limit screen sensitivity. However, the case itself is another story. When I first put it on, (keep in mind that no directions are included), it fit nicely. It's not the greatest looking case but I've seen worse. It has a sort of cheap look to it; not something a professional would likely want to use at the workplace but one that a teen might enjoy. After about a month or so of use the case became extremely stretched out. It now is so loose it that it is almost worthless to put it on the phone. Mainly I use it for protection while in my purse but when it comes out, off comes the cover.

So I would only recommend this to someone who wants something cheap for their teenager and who wants a reliable screen protector. Othewise, I would search for something with more quality.

I feel my phone is definitely better protected than without a case. This product is lightweight and easy to "install". I've found only 2 drawbacks; 1. There isn't an opening to show off the Apple Logo on the back of the phone. 2. The fabric is sticky, so it's difficult to slide the phone into the pocket of my purse or pants.

Well definitely this is one of the slimmest silicone iPhone covers I've ever seen. And despite of that, it does provide "OK" protection (I've drop it a couple of times now with no impact on chassis). However I kept wondering if the sellers have two models, a quality one and a sloppy one, because many reviewers have praise the quality of this skin case. Unfortunately mine is definitely sloppy. The cut outs are not even, they don't fit correctly at the camera side nor the silencing lever. For me the worst part is that, since it fails to provide a firm grab, it moves around to much to the point that I'm always pushing out the screen protector (which comes with the skin case and is in fact pretty good) from the edges of the phone .

Honestly I was expecting a little more even despite the price.

I bought the clear one because of the subtle swirl design and figured it would look okay with my white 3GS. However, after a few days, nice clear color started to yellow and was much more noticeable BECAUSE my iphone was white...

The silicone case has held so far (abt 2-3 weeks) but the screen protector came off in 7-10 days. While the screen protector was there, although it changed the look of the iphone quite a bit (nothing to blame the product as such) funcitonality wise it was ok. Havind bought and returned a black case in store, I ordered the white online since the black wasnt there and the white isnt appealing. It changed the look of the phone and if given an another option I would love to have the black.

This is without a doubt the best cover I've bought for my iPhone 3GS. And for 1/4 the price of those other covers you'll buy anywhere else. I'm 100% satisfied with this purchase and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in buying it. Fits like a glove and the bumps on the side and top for the volume and sleep button works out great for me. - Iphone Cover'

Usb External Floppy Drive

I found a box of old 3 1/2 inch floppy discs from a PC I had ten years ago and thought it would be a good idea to find out whether there was anything of value on them. The floppy drive as advertised is generic, but for less than $20.00 it was worth taking a bit of a chance. It arrived quickly and turned out to have been made by Teac, already a good start. Very conveniently, it connects to and is powered by a single USB port and, although it did come with an installation disc, my Vista operating system immediately found the appropriate drivers. It accepted, read, and cleanly ejected each of the floppy discs with zero glitches or problems so I would recommend this drive with no reservations. Of course, there was nothing worth saving on any of the discs but now I'm well equipped to deal with the past. TEAC 1.44MB USB External Floppy Disk Drive (Black)

1.44MB USB External Floppy Drive (Black)

I bough this disk drive to use in conjunction with my laptop computer. I have a older digital camera (Sony) that I just love. The only source of memory is the 1.44mb floppy disks. The device is a very plain and simple one. Nothing fancy. But it serves my needs perfectly. The price is right. I would recommend it to anyone. Papa Larry

I had forgotten how noisy and slow floppy drives are, but if you need to get some info from an old floppy disk, then this drive may be your answer....the price is right, and I copied 11 floppies w/o any apparent problem.

I purchased this USB External Floppy Disk Drive to get some info off of some old floppy disks. Unfortunately, the floppy disk drive did not work when I took it out of the box. No lights came on, no noise, nothing at all. I had to return it to Amazon and was promptly issued a refund. I think somethimes you just get a lemon. But I'm not giving up yet. I have plans to order another one from Amazon and hopefully it will work fine. I have never had a problem with any of my other orders.

What arrived, in a plain brown box, was not the TEAC drive described. It seems to be a cheap knock-off/counterfeit. And it did not work. I tried this on 3 different computers, Mac and Windows, and none of them could see the contents of a floppy. The drive made nice grinding noises, but no satisfaction. I'm surprised that Amazon would allow this to be listed falsely. The unit has no manufacturer's ID, but does have a printed label with a TEAC part number. But the other numbers on the label do not correspond to numbers found on the TEAC web site.

Ordered 2 of these USB external floppy drives. Both worked as a bootable "A:" drive for DOS boot disks. However, I was doubtful that these were really TEAC built drives from the start, especially because other sellers are selling what looks to be the same drive with a generic brand listing. It only took a quick glance at the disk slot to tell that there was a difference in design of the internal drive, as one had a flat slot door while the other had a curved slot door. So, I disassemble the enclosures. Each is held together by interlocking plastic tabs and a single screw that is under the small QC sticker near the cable port. It turns out that neither had a TEAC manufactured drive inside. Rather, both of mine were made by YE-DATA. Oddly though, each one was a different YE-DATA model/design. Further, both looked rather old and used, having scratches, bends, and/or dents. I am firmly convinced that all these units are merely generic, USB enclosures into which used/refurbished laptop drives are inserted and resold as new. One internal drive looked like it had been through a tornado, so definetly not new internals! The other had a manufacturer's date of 2002, so again definetly not new internals! On another note, a few of the interlocking tabs broke when I disassembled the enclosures, so when I put them back together, they don't fit as tightly as they should. Just an FYI, if you decide to disassemble yours...

It will be interesting to find out if the USB controller board can be detached and plugged into a different laptop drive and still function correctly. Both of mine appear to have the standard laptop ribbon cable interface. As soon as I get the chance, I'll test it. If is turns out that the USB interface board works universally for any standard laptop drive, then this product's value to me will double, since no company seems to make a USB adapter interface for FDD's. (I'd like to have the ability to use a FDD that I can mount inside a PC case that has a USB interface instead of the FDD controller interface, particulary since there are very few motherboards coming out that still have an onboard FDD controller!) If the USB controller does work with another, new laptop drive, I'll create a follow-up to this review.

So, in conclusion, both drives I bought work so far as expected. However, they are NOT TEAC drives! Instead, they are OLD, USED, SCRATCHED-UP laptop drives of various brands/models that are placed into generic, USB enclosures. This is probably why the sticker on the bottom of the enclosure says "All brand names and trademarks are registered property of their respective owners." Translation: "Who knows which manufacturer's drive is inside this thing?!!!"

UPDATE: I've just tried using the USB interface board with another laptop/slimline floppy drive. I tried it with a new, Sony-branded laptop drive that I bought a few years ago but had never used. Guess what? IT WORKS! So, it appears that the USB controller will work with any standard laptop/slimline drive. Further, I now know why this particular seller lists this as a TEAC brand USB floppy. It is because when this is plugged into a computer that is running Windows, it is detected as a plug&play TEAC USB floppy drive. So, it seams that the USB controller itself is either a genuine TEAC IC (the controller chip) or a clone of the TEAC chip. I suspect that anyone who has reviewed this item and stated that they have indeed received a TEAC USB drive has based that conclusion on the removable drive pop-up seen in their OS. Therefore, be aware: Just because you plug this thing into your Windows-based computer and its says "TEAC USB Floppy disc," doesn't mean that you've got a genuine TEAC floppy drive!!! All it means is that Windows "thinks" its a TEAC drive and loads the TEAC driver to run it! In any case, I can say that I am satisfied with the purchase, because I can disassemble the enclosure and use the USB cable and controller with any standard laptop/slimline floppy drive, which is what I was looking for before I resorted to buying this item anyway. I can now use the USB interface board with my new Sony drive, which is a GREAT DEAL QUIETER than than the used YE-DATA drive that came in the enclosure!!! [Although, on a related note, my Sony-branded drive (that I know for sure was a newly manufactured drive and was distributed by Sony) is identical in appearance to one of the YE-DATA drives found in one of the items I purchased, accept for the labels and markings! So, when it comes down to it, who the heck knows which company actually makes the internals of these slimline drives?! They were all probably made by the same generic, Chinese company and simply branded/labeled by which ever Brand-name company decided to distribute them. And for another side-note: One can go to TEAC's website and find a listing for a USB floppy drive for $50.00. It looks very similar to the item sold here. Makes me wonder if I bought one directly from their site whether I'd actually get an original, TEAC manufactured drive or merely another no-name drive with a TEAC controller attached. Let me tell you, if they are actually still selling brand-new, all-TEAC-components USB drives, it would be worth the 50 bucks. Cause, in another few short years, NEW floppy drives will be so scare, you'll wish you'd bought one while you could. Otherwise, repackaged, USED drives like the ones found in these listings will be all you'll be able to get!!! Maybe I'll splurge and order one from TEAC just to see what they are. If I do, I'll update this review!]

UPDATE 2: Well, I have ordered, received, and dissassembled a geniune TEAC USB floppy drive directly from TEAC. Upon initial glance of the TEAC drive and the ones sold in this listing, they look identical. However, with slightly more scrutiny, one can see that these drives are indeed different, and upon internal inspection, there remains no doubt that the drives available in this listing are a far cry from an actual TEAC drive! Here's how they differ:

1.) The Teac drive's housing is shorter than those found in this listing. This is because the drive housings in this listing have to have room for the extra USB interface board, the part that plugs into a slimline laptop drive via a ribbon cable.

2.) The Teac drive is branded as Teac on the external AND internal hardware itself.

3.) The Teac drive is branded internally as being made in Malaysia and the hardware is of a completely different design than any of the 3 other slimline laptop drives I have (2 of which came in the drives from this listing).

4.) The Teac drive's USB controller hardware is built directly into the drive itself; it does not have a seperate, generic USB controller board that plugs into it like the drives in this listing do.

5.) The Teac drive is detected in Windows (XP) and ready to use after plugging it in more quickly than any of the drives I have purchased from this listing.

6.) The Teac drive has given me no problems when using it to boot into DOS and run DOS programs, while both drives I purchased from this listing have given me different errors when running two different DOS programs. (Initially, I concluded that both worked in DOS correctly, but upon further testing, I received errors from both. One didn't boot a Windows ME boot disk correctly, and the other didn't allow a drive formatting program to start correctly.)

Conclusion: The drives sold in this listing are most definitely NOT Teac drives. Rather, they are cheap, generic units that internally consist of are used/refurbished/old-stock slimline laptop floppy drives of various brands plugged into a generic USB controller chip that probably illegally uses Teac hardware signatures to make Windows detect these as Teac drives. The actual, geniune drive that I bought from Teac seems superior in almost every way, from quality of materials to actual working performance. However, the one plus to the drives found in this listing is that one can interchange the USB controller with any slimline laptop drive you may have lying around or can acquire. So, if you buy one of these and the drive malfunctions, you could simply locate any old laptop floppy drive, switch them out, and be good to go again. Therefore, I'll still keep my rating at 3 stars, if for no other reason than for that capability. However, know for certain, genuine Teac drives these are NOT!!!

P.S. Yeah, I know this has been a long-winded review, but I wanted any perspective buyer to be fully informed of what you would actually recieve if you bought this item, a courtesy that this seller's description does not provide.'

Iphone Fm Transmitter - ipod car mount, ipod dock

I spent some time looking at all the options for mounting and playing an iPhone through my car speakers, as well as charging the iPhone. Nothing seemed to fit the bill perfectly. There are only a few options out there for mounts that charge and play music through your speakers--all of which are mounted awkwardly, directly to the cigarette lighter and down out of a safe area view to view the iPhone while driving. They all look flimsy and a little cheap.

Finally, after some searching I found this gem. I've never seen an iPhone mount that is literally mounted to a cassette adapter. It's mounted right in the middle of your radio, which is excellent as the iPhone is taking the place of the radio in the first place! It takes up less space than any other iPhone/iPod mount on the market. It really cleans up the clutter that most mounts create. It's easy to view without taking your eyes to far off the road. Tape adapter sound quality surpasses FM transmitters by a long shot. Sound quality is about a 9/10 (FM transmitters are about a 4/10). Really easy to mount and easy to view. It is a little bit wobbly where the mounting piece attaches to the cassette if you physically try to move it (which was a little bit annoying), but I corrected that very easily with a little bit of double-sided tape where the mount connects to the cassette to take up some of that extra space that allowed it to wobble. It was an easy fix to a problem that wasn't that major to begin with.

I had a little problem when I received the iDeck. The mounting bracket (there are 4 different ones included) I needed for the iPhone was missing from the package. I emailed Cyanics customer support to see if I could get this piece. They got back to me in just a few minutes with the tracking information on the piece I needed, telling me it was on its way. Cyanics customer support is second to none. I've emailed them a few times now and they have never taken more than 10 minutes to respond (imagine if every company was like that!).

The iDeck absolutely works with the iPhone, although the only way to use it as a handsfree unit (where you can hear the caller through the car speakers) is to use an extremely simple workaround that I discovered. The iDeck will charge the iPhone and play all the music, sounds, etc. through your car's speakers without any workaround. Cyanics told me I would not be able to use it as a handsfree calling device, though, because when you answer a call it switches to speakerphone and doesn't play the call through the car's speakers. You can get around this by connecting a 3.5mm cable from the iPhone's headphone jack into the jack on the iDeck labeled "AUX". It works very well. The person on the other end said I sounded loud and clear to them. If you have your car's volume turned up really loud, the caller will hear themselves echoing, but this shouldn't happen at normal volumes.

In conclusion, I'm really happy with this product. I'm extremely picky when it comes to this kind of stuff. I consider this the best iPhone car mount on the market. It's a shame it isn't advertised as an iPhone mount, because it works great. iDeck Integrated Car Cassette Adapter for iPod (Certified "Made for iPod")

First off customer service is great, I asked a question and was answered immediately. Ordered from them on Wednesday and got it on Saturday. I have been searching for an Iphone 3G mount for the last year and just couldnt find the right one since they looked butt ugly or was in a very cheap looking mount. I was waiting for the TOMTOM holder but I will not pay $100 for a mount. This all in one solution product solves all my problems including way to connect my iphone to my car speakers, charger and mount and looks great in my car. When I first heard the sound of my iphone music I was truly impressed and didnt have to fiddle with those FM transmitters which people always had problems with. If you have a tape deck and need a Iphone mount, do not hesitate picking this up.

Be careful when you buy this product. It only works if your cassette deck has the opening for the cassette's widest part on the passenger side.

My car has the wider part of the opening on the driver's side -- so the iDeck didn't fit. There's no mechanism to fix or adjust this.

I can't say whether it works well otherwise.

After I received my unit, I spent a couple of weeks wondering why the volume coming out of my car speakers was so low. I was having to crank up my car stereo's volume to a ridiculous level in order to hear the music well. of course, that created a tremendous amount of hiss coming out of my speakers. I couldn't tell if it was my iPod, the cassette deck, some random setting, or what. I played around a lot with the setup, and I was beginning to get pretty frustrated.

This morning, I discovered (entirely by accident) that by gently pulling on the unit, once it was inside the cassette deck, I was able to get a much louder signal. My guess is that the unit wasn't contacting the tape head very well and needed a little tweak.

Now, the sound is GREAT! My iPod Touch fits well with the provided adapter, and the charger works just fine. I just have to tweak the unit a bit each time I put it in the cassette deck.

I'm giving this 4 stars for the loose fit inside my cassette deck. This issue is probably unavoidable, given all the different types and makes of car cassette decks. Also, the unit is not all that sturdy - you will need to be gentle with it. Overall, though, I am pleased. - Ipod Car Mount - Ipod Dock - Iphone Car Charger - Cassette Adapter'

Kitchen Utensils - sandwich, sandwich cutter

My 2 year old loved the uncrustable sandwiches you can buy in the grocery store frozen, but I did not love the products they used in them. Now I make my own with healthier products and freeze them it work awesome.

Ok, I will first admit that I bought this because it looked cute. I have never heard of it until I saw it here on Amazon, and thought I would give it a shot.

When I got it in a couple of days (and I mean a couple), I opened the package and started to make sandwiches. Here is a bit of caution, all of the directions are in Japanese, and if yours is as rusty as mine, you will get the idea, but miss some good information.

First, the bread does work a little better if it is microwave for a few seconds. Secondly, after centering your first piece of bread, the toppings should go in the center about 1/8" from the edge of the press. Thirdly, press as hard as you can to make the best seal.

This is perfect for 1 and 3 year old. Sandwiches tend to fall apart on them. This keeps them together in little triangle pockets (I fold one piece in half, an option that is on the package). I also like that chicken or egg salad sandwiches don't fall out the back while eating.

The only drawback is that this press takes a few tries to get it right. I had a tendency to overfill or place the fillings too close to the edge. However, a five or six pieces of bread is a small price to pay than uncrustable sandwiches in the freeze section of the grocery store.

I bought this from Amazon and was very pleased with the product. It does what it says it does, but I was dismayed to find that it costs only $2.50 from a Los Angeles Japanese store. Just to let you know that a better price is available out there. - Sandwich - Sandwich Crust Cutters - Lunch Box - Sandwich Cutter'

Best Pencil Sharpener - school supplies, best pencil sharpener

This little sharpener is great!!! It really does the job well. I use it for my delicate color art pencils. The other sharpeners were chewing my expensive pencils up!!! A teacher suggested these and they are great!!! Easy to carry around and use.... Maped Classic 1-Hole Metal Pencil Sharpeners, Grey, 2-Pack (006602)

I thought it would be annoying and time-consuming to sharpen several pencils with just a handheld sharpener... but these Maped metal ones did the job quickly and easily. They have a nice weight to them and feel great to use.

I bought these pencil sharpers just to add to another shipment so I could get the free shipping, but I'm glad I did. I recently took up a hobby of drawing & thought of buying an electric pencil sharpener. I realize now that would have been a waste of money. These a perfect, they are nice & sharp & do a very good job.

I haven't used a regular pencil in years. My son just started school and we needed pencils and sharpeners. We went through a few poorly made plastic sharpeners. The cheap sharpeners kept breaking the pencil lead. The Maped sharpens perfectly. I have been using mechanical pencils for so long, I have forgotten how fun it is to sharpen a pencil.

The title says it all. These sharpeners work great. I bought these to replace my noisy electric sharpener...I am much happier with these. The point created from this sharpener is finer than anything else that I have ever used.

These are the best hand held sharpeners I have ever used.

Great point and does not splinter the wood where it meets the lead which would keep breaking the tip.

Very sharp and I thought it had more weight than any other hand held sharpener.

I bought these to do my initial sharpening of this set of colored pencils:

Sanford Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencil Set, 72/Tin with New Colors.

They bring the pencils to a perfect point every time. I love that it comes with two, and they are very inexpensive for the quality. They are also easy to hold, which is great when you're doing a couple hours worth of manual sharpening. It was the pencils that made my fingers tired, not the sharpener!

I did try the sharpener that came with the pencils, and another made by Prismacolor. I honestly preferred these to either of the others.

I learned the hard way that I didn't have a pencil sharpener. Not something you think you're going to need until you find yourself stuck with a dull pencil and a document that you can't write on in pen. Anyway, this gets the job done, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're an artist or something and will be sharpening pencils often. Might want something more heavy duty for that. - School Supplies - Best Pencil Sharpener - Sharpener'

Nano Watch Band - nano watch band, ipod watch

I have decided to review this product, since there are no other reviews worth reading, and since it is actually a fairly good buy. The choice can be difficult, because on average this product is more expensive than the other running docks for your ipod.

Firstly, let me say that I have only had mine for a day. I have the 6th Gen Nano. So, I cannot give any feedback at this stage regarding how this product will wear. I will try to remember to return in a month or two's time and post an update. Also, time from buy to receive was about a week, so I cant identify with the other comment about the lack of shipping.

- The product looks good, and is essentially exactly how it looks in the photo. The Nano fits pretty much perfectly. However, if you have a silicone cover on your nano it will NOT fit.

- It is easy to get the nano in and out, and because of the clip on the nano, when its in, it is secure, and therefore wont fall off the watch. This means its not the kind of "cover" where once its in, its in forever.

- The screen of the nano can be easily rotated to have the clock face, and the menu etc interface in the orientation you desire.

- The headphone jack of the nano points UP YOU ARM when the ipod is docked. I find this to be quite convenient as I use mine for running, and therefore want the cable pointing up my arm

- NB one: The docking platform between the two straps is PLASTIC (not metal). I believe this will have pro's and con's, given that plastic will wear better with the sweat, but may not last as long. Potential concern here. However, the plastic does appear sturdy, so will let you know how it goes.

- The size of the watch strap, and the holes make it possible to fit almost all size arms. I am a fairly big guy, and it fits me comfortably. However, if you have mammoth wrists, you may run into trouble.

Post comments, and I will try to answer them. All in all, a good product that is (imho) freaking cool.

UPDATE: March 10:

I have been using the product for about a month and a half. I used a small file to round the edges of the platic platform onto which the ipod attaches, as they were quite sharp and snagged on sweaters etc. My ipod fits snuggly into the platform, and doesn't move around. The plastic platform still looks good.

The silicone straps dont show any signs of wear yet, and I use my strap principally for running, so the straps receives a lot of sweat. Btw, if you use for running, get yourself a set of these babies: Sennheiser Adidas PMX 680 Sports Earbud Headphone with Volume control & Neckband. They are incredible, and dont move an inch when you run. iWatchz CLRCHR22GRN Q Collection Wrist Strap for iPod Nano 6G

I had always thought that a small mp3 player could always be worn best on the wrist. Clipping it to a band or cuffing it to your bicep wasn't always the most comfortable, secure fit. Obviously, the market wasn't out there for this idea until the 6G Ipod Nano came along. Before, the small size pretty much limited the total song capacity to about two, and there was no option to securely fasten the player to the wrist anyway- they were still too bulky.

This Nano, with its optional clock display-was made for this wristband (and vice versa). I got this watchband as a gift for my wife after getting her the Ipod for Christmas. The fit is tight and secure. The instructions are nonexistent- if you need to adjust the bands to facilitate positioning the Ipod (to not only display correctly but to have the headphone jack positioned correctly as well, you will have to study the pieces and intuit what needs to be done. Not a problem for me- but I am smart:)

In the end, with a little extra effort on my part swapping the bands around- this turned into an appreciated gift. My wife wears the Ipod daily as a watch. All that is needed is to plug in the headphones and the Ipod reverts back to its original purpose- only secured to the wrist (the headphones are positioned to run up inside shirt sleeves, helping to keep the cords from flaying around wildly when working out).

So yes, this is a very good product. No instructions in this case won't merit a mark down because any adjustments are easy to figure out and don't require extra parts/tools to accomplish. Once adjusted (and this may not be necessary for you) this watchband is well-made and obviously manufactured to fit the Ipod securely and attractively. This product complements the Ipod so well I expect Apple will come out with something similar to it, soon.

The part that holds the nano is flimsy and poorly made.

Problem one: very rough edge that hangs out beyond the nano.

Problem two: the whole band depends on one very thin piece of plastic underneath the nano. The piece broke after about 2 months of daily use.

The bad was great and very comfortable, but the piece that holds the nano is terrible. - Nano Watch Band - Ipod Nano Watch - Ipod Nano Watch Band - Ipod Watch'

Spanking

This book is a must read for any parent or potential parent. This book is well written and well researched. The author gets it right on the mark.

I didn't realize until much later in life the effect that this kind of punishment had on my emotional and psychological well being. And many other people are beginning to discover this in their lives as well. It is unfortunate that many parents believe and are convinced that discipline involving physical pain is healthy and appropriate.

It is time for us to evolve and stop taking the easy way out by simply following uninspired traditional methods. There are truly more positive and effective methods of parenting available. But, it must begin with an open mind, and a willingness to learn better ways. And this book is a valuable resource for those who wish to end this cycle of abuse. It is odd that violence is socially acceptable only when it is done to children, the ones who are the most sensitive and vulnerable. Why Spanking Doesn't Work: Stopping This Bad Habit and Getting the Upper Hand on Effective Discipline

Having been formally trained in child psychology and special education, I was not personally comfortable with the tone and position the author rigidly assumes in this book and was unable to finish reading it.'

Graph Paper

This paper indeed has 10 squares per inch, just as advertised. I would recommend this paper to anyone needing graph paper with 10 squares per inch. I think it is a bit overpriced for what it is. I just bought it because I needed a small value item to arrive at a purchase total qualifying for free shipping. In hindsight, I am not sure that makes financial sense, but there you have it. Pocket Camera - high definition, kodak

I am a Canon diehard fan. But Canon does not have anything that compares to Kodak Playsport HD waterproof pocket video camera. At 1080P the video recording is acceptable. But, at 720p and 60 frames per second this camera rocks, the results are great. I have used it around and in water, the blue filter helps under water. I am planning to use this for our Disney World vacation this year in the Water Parks.

This camera takes 5MP HD Stills, so now I have a camera that can take video and stills on demand wet or dry. I have other camera's in the same category like Flip and Samsung both do not compare, even at 720p 60 frames per second. $150.00 pricetag is also very affordable.

Easy to carry, very user friendly to move files from the camera to the computer or directly to Youtube. Nightvision would be nice but most of my recordings will be in Daylight. Bottom line great camera and I have no cons to talk about. Kodak PlaySport (Zx3) HD Waterproof Pocket Video Camera (Black)

Over Christmas, my wife decided to award my awesomeness by getting me a Zi6. I loved this camera like a fat kid likes cake and took it with me everywhere that I went. Suddenly, my daughter was living her own personal Truman Show and everyone on my Facebook friends list was subject to video after video that I'd shot just about anywhere that we were of her being cute.

Not even a half a year had passed before I was totally devoted to the idea of the Zi6 but still wanting something with a little more horsepower under the hood (Image Stabilization, Facial Detection, Backlight Suppression). I was planning to go with the Zi8 but then I found this little bad boy. The Zx3 is essentially like the dashing, more adventurous midget version of the Zi8. It has the Zi8's guts but in a pint sized, water-proof body.

Pros:

1. Its freaking waterproof! In my opinion, this is almost 100% necessary with a camera that you carry around with you all the time. I'm often too stupid to come in out of the rain so the mere fact that this camera can take the moisture makes it a perfect fit for me.

2. Facial Detection, it works! The camera does an outstanding job of metering from whoever's grill that I happen to be getting all up in while using it. There's a noticeable lag when panning from the shadows to some sun-worshiping hippy but it's not that much. Maybe 1/3 of a second.

3. The image stabilization keeps my shots steady even when I'm jogging behind my 4 year old little girl as she goes from one place to the other being totally riot. It's digital instead of optical so it isn't perfect but it's still a far cry better than the Zi6. It¡¦s definitely a welcome upgrade as my footage no longer looks quite so much like every scene in Cloverfield.

4. I don't use the backlight suppression as much as I thought that I would (mostly don't need it) but its nice having it there.

5. I personally think that the low light performance of this camera is quite crunk! I've read lots of other reviews with people complaining about it but these folks probably complain that they don't get a side of caviar whenever they order a drive through happy meal. It's a pocket-sized camera. In my opinion, the Zx3 has the best low light resolution that you're going to find without upgrading to anything larger and more financially damaging to your checking account.

Cons

1. The thing runs on a proprietary battery so, unlike the Zi6 there's no more relying on AA's and Viagra to keep me going all day long. Kodak says that you'll get 90 minutes out of a full charge but they're lying to you like a bunch of dirty liars. Expect an hour without previewing.

2. Oddly, the 1080p recording mode doesn't make that much of a difference. The Zi6 maxed out at 720p and definitely got a worse picture than this Zx3 but that's mainly due to the internal processing differences between to two devices. It's not really a complaint, I guess. I've just found that 720p at 60fps is just as good or better than 1080p at 30fps.

3. This camera's lack of a macro mode makes it impossible for me to film my fungal infections to email to my doctor for diagnosis.

4. No case was provided! :( WTF Kodak? My Zi6 came with a case. True, it wasn't a very good case but it was there and I loved it! This one doesn't have one. I'm currently using one of my kid's unmatched socks to keep the screen and lens from getting scratched while it's in my pocket. Why does Kodak want me to be so ghetto?

5. The codec records in the .mov file format. This format is big and really annoying to edit in as it eats up processing power and makes your computer stupid. Know going into this that you're going to have to convert your files into a more manageable format before splicing together the next Citizen Kane.

All in all, I'd say that the Zx3 is pretty much the most amazing thing that I've owned ever since my wife got me my Zi6. The better image quality alone makes it worth the $150 that I paid for it but it's also waterproof! My wife didn't know that before I dropped it into my koi pond. The look on her face alone was priceless and worth every dollar spent. - Kodak - Pocket Camera - Camcorder - High Definition'

I never have before bought or even wanted to buy a DVD series of a television show, but this show is so funny and each week, I can't wait to see what's in store for the next upcoming episode. Season 1 is not even through it's airing at this time, but each weekly episode is strong and not one has never left me not laughing into hysterics. What a great cast! I'm so glad ABC signed on for a 2nd season. I've been saving each show on my TiVo (and how long can that last before you need to free up space)and later just love to playback an episode to watch...I'm always guaranteed a good laugh, no matter how many times watched. When this becomes a DVD set, I'm going to be one of the first in line to purchase it! I can't wait for its release! Modern Family Season 1

Modern Family is a winning combination of great casting, smart writing and it's actually funny. There are very few comedies worth watching on TV today, but this show delivers every single week. The whole cast is outstanding and there is real chemistry between everyone, but I think three actors really stand out. Ed O'Neill sheds his Al Bundy persona and turns in a very comfortable, laid back performance that does wonders. Most of the big laughs come from Ty Burrell, who finally found a role that lets his dorky humor shine through, and Eric Stonestreet who plays the most over-the-top character other than Gloria, but never falls into that too far it doesn't seem real anymore category. Julie Bowen, Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Rico Rodriguez, who acts like a grown man trapped in a child's body, all fill in the cracks and often deliver very memorable moments themselves.

I'm happy to report that there is no sophomore slump with Modern Family. The second season continues its trend of brilliance.

Truly one of the funniest shows on TV right now. This "mockumentary" comedy series was created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan, people behind Frasier and Just Shoot me and is just as funny as these two. Multinational, multisexual and exceedingly complicated (extended) family and their hilarious antics filmed by the Dutch TV crew.

Jay Pritchett (Ed O'Neill - he is back!!!) is the track-suit wearing oldest member of the family who is married to a Columbian goddess Gloria (Sofía Vergara), who brings her son Manny into the family.

Jay's Daughter Claire (Julie Bowen) a neurotic mother is married to Phil (Ty Burrell), a very awkward, know-it-all dad (he is not) and their 3 kids.

Jay's gay son Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and his partner Cameron (Eric Stonestreet), who just adopted a Vietnamese baby.

Show consists of great characters, excellent cast and expertly written scripts. This show is funniest on any network. Start with the pilot, you will love it.

If you're reading through reviews on the Amazon product page, you are probably familiar with the riotously funny sitcom Modern Family. The show has been discussed and lauded by more eloquent souls than I, but I would like to comment on the quality of the Blu-Ray, for those interested.

Modern Family was filmed using very high quality cameras in the 16:9 aspect ratio which lends intself perfectly to a Blu-Ray transfer. For a television show, the quality is simply stunning (for comparison's sake, it blows The Office: Season 5 out of the water). Colors are very realistic and buck the trend of over-saturation while still offering plenty of "pop." With few exceptions, detail is crisp and contrast is again excellent. Audio quality and clarity is equally as impressive, although being an ensemble comedy, don't expect much from the rear channels.

The extra features consist of roughly 20-30 minutes (per disc, three discs total) of additional family interviews not aired in the episodes as well as some deleted scenes. I would have liked one or more "making of" type interviews with the cast and crew, but the included extras will suffice. Unfortunately, the quality of the deleted scenes varies wildly between each cut. The video disparity is understandable and does not bother me, but the audio volume changes quite dramatically between one scene and the next, which is a bit annoying.

Despite any negative comments, what's most important about Blu-Ray is being able to enjoy great films and shows (like this one) in the highest quality possible and believe me when I say you will absolutely floored by the pristine picture offered by this transfer. If you enjoy Modern Family, Season 1 on Blu-Ray is a must-have.

This is the very best comedy on TV at this point in time...PERIOD. The cast is absolutely top shelf. Also, it is extremely rare find such outstanding chemistry between the artists.

The younger cast members deserve particular recognition here. Let's start with Sarah Hyland (Haley), outstanding acting talent. Has anybody noticed when she smiles she is exactly like a young Natalie Wood? Ariel Winter (Alex) she brilliantly embodies the awkwark and frustrated middle sibbling. Nolan Gould (Luke) does a terrific job as the youngest child in the zoo.

My best review is reserved for Rico Rodriguez (Manny). He is outstanding. In fact, I would say award worthy. This kid has the acting talent and professional bearing to bring a multi fasceted and complex child to life. "Manny" is caught in the middle between dads and cultures. He manages to bring the humorous side of his life situation through at just the right moments. Very genuine. Congradulations Rico, you have earned praise for your work.

The rest of the cast is just as good. I just wanted to take the time and recognize the work of these fine actors.

Finally, none of the reviews on this page would be singing the praises of this television series if it were not for the outstanding work of it's writers. I beg, I entreat you, to please keep this group together as they clearly have developed continuity and depth with their characters. The ability to do this and seemlessly integrate them into a storyline is very rare indeed. Hopefully it is the precurser for many deserved awards to come.

Directors, please receive my compliments for successfully bringing it all together.

The moment the DVD comes out, it's mine. Congradulations guys for producing such a great, funny, entertaining and relevant show that has all of us awaiting the next installment. - Ebook - Drm - Kindle Devices - E-reader'

Cell Phones With Service

If you're looking for an honest review of the Thunderbolt (mind you, I've only had it a little less than 2 weeks at this point), please read on.

First, a little background: I've been a Verizon customer for years. I previously had an LG Env2 for 3 years before buying the Thunderbolt. Like a lot of you, I'm sure, I waited and waited and skipped over several releases of the iPhone (on AT&T), desperately hoping for something equal or better on Verizon. For better or worse, I stood my ground and kept on waiting for something on Verizon. I was eligible for an upgrade about this time last year, but I never pulled the trigger on it for one reason or another. I guess I just never found a phone that really made me want to spend the extra money for the data plan (although the Droid Incredible came close). As soon as I heard that the LTE phones would start to roll out in early 2011, I knew I was waiting until that point to use my upgrade.

That brings us to the present. Dismayed a little by the continuous delays that plagued the release of the Thunderbolt, I waited patiently until the weekend following the release. I told myself I was going to wait a little longer to see if there were any major problems. I was a bit nervous on this purchase, just based on the rumors I'd been hearing about (and reading about) that delayed the Thunderbolt's release. In the end, though, I decided I just couldn't wait any longer and I made the purchase. My $50 upgrade credit (incidentally, the last time I'll be able to use one of those on Verizon, since they're doing away with the program) brought the price of the phone from $250 down to $200. Initial set-up at the Verizon store was minimal and I was out the door fairly quickly.

A few caveats here, before I dive into the guts of the review:

1) I live on the East Coast, in Arlington, VA. I frequently travel up/down the I-95 corridor to NJ/NYC/CT/etc, where Verizon's 4G LTE signal is very strong.

2) Even though this is my first Android phone, I'm quite familiar with the operating system (OS) since my fiancee has one (Droid Incredible) and my father has one (Droid X). I've spent extensive time with both of those phones, so I have a pretty good reference point.

So, the first thing everyone wants to know is, of course, about 4G. (This is certainly the start of the "Pros" category, by the way.) As I mentioned above, I spend most of my time on the East Coast in the mid-Atlantic region. I've found the 4G signal to be excellent so far. During a recent trip from Philly down to Arlington, VA, I had 4G signal a good majority of the time. There were definitely spots in Northern Maryland and Delaware that didn't have 4G, but once I hit the outskirts of Baltimore, I had 4G signal pretty much the rest of the way south to Washington, DC. Keep in mind, too, that the 4G LTE network (on this phone, anyway) is for DATA only. It won't be until later this year or next year that Verizon starts to release phones that actually make phone calls over the 4G network.

The 4G LTE network that Verizon has up and running is BLAZING fast. I can't possibly overstate that in any way, shape, or form. I have a Comcast cable modem at home that provides Wifi to my apartment. The 4G speeds that I'm getting with LTE right now are FASTER than my home network. And not even really that close, to be honest. Verizon's 4G network is considerably faster than the Comcast cable modem. How much faster you ask? Take these numbers for instance (generated using the SpeedTest.net app from the Android app store):

On my home Wifi: 2941 kbps DOWNLOAD, 1390 kbps UPLOAD

On Verizon's LTE network: 5102 kbps DOWNLOAD, 21214 kbps UPLOAD

In case your math is a little rusty, download speeds are almost twice as fast on the LTE network. Upload speeds are 15+ times faster! That's compared to a CABLE MODEM! That's insanely fast, folks!!! The big question, of course, is will those speeds continue to hold up as more folks jump on the LTE network? I can't answer that question since I'm not a Verizon engineer. I certainly hope so, that's for sure. Verizon's network is their reputation, so I'm willing to bet that the speeds hold up fairly well. And let's face it -- even if there is a *slight* downgrade in speed once more folks are on, it's still insanely fast for a cell phone.

To go along with the network speeds, lets discuss the Mobile Hotspot on the phone. You can connect up to 5 devices to the hotspot. My understanding is that the mobile hotspot option is free on this phone through mid-May (roughly, don't quote me on this). I tested it out this weekend, and it performed flawlessly using my MacBook. Speeds were, again, outstanding. I didn't run any numbers, but just browsing the Internet seemed considerably faster when connected to my phone (vs. the Cable Modem Wifi). Definitely an awesome feature to be able to turn the phone into a mobile 4G LTE hotspot. Am I going to use that feature after May when I have to pay extra? I'm not sure, but it's certainly a great option to have for some folks. I guess the answer will also depend on Verizon's pricing structure, whenever that fully emerges.

The phone itself feels well put together. Make no mistake about it: it's LARGE. But it's not too large. Personally, I think it's the perfect size for cell phone. Screen size is the same as the Droid X at 4.3 inches, although the phone itself is smaller in profile and feels a lot nicer to hold than the Droid X. It's great for any type of video, Google Nav, etc etc. The list goes on, but the screen is big, bright, and beautiful. Is it the latest and greatest screen technology out there? I doubt it, but it certainly looks really good, I can tell you that much.

That about does it for the PROS. Now for the CONS. Some of them are nitpicky, and some are not. Some may be mixed with future updates, and others probably won't.

First thing I noticed when I got the phone home: Verizon loads this thing with bloatware CRAP. I don't know about you, but that really, REALLY annoys me. Not so much that they put it on there, I understand that Verizon probably has marketing agreements with other companies (Blockbuster, for example). I can live with that. That's if they made the apps removable - they are not. And that's what drives me absolutely crazy with this phone. The only program that can be deleted from the device is CityID. The others are baked into the ROM - meaning that even if you go though the procedures to delete them, guess what -- they're still there! They don't go away!! And there's nothing you can do to get rid of them, short of rooting the phone (which I'm not recommending). To name a few: Blockbuster, Bitbop, Amazon Kindle, Lets Golf 2, Peep, Rhapsody, Rock Band, Slacker, VCast Apps, VCast Media, and VZ Navigator. Keep in mind that some of these apps run AUTOMATICALLY in the background (draining battery! which I'll get to in a minute). If you didn't just read that list and say "Are you kidding me?!?!" then you're nuts. I have a demo of Lets Golf 2 on my phone that I CAN'T DELETE because Verizon says so. That is total crap, in my opinion, and a huge downside to this phone. I'm okay with them pre-loading it on their phones - just don't put it in the ROM. I literally hate that Verizon thinks you should have no choice on deleting some apps. Huge minus for this phone.

That leads me nicely into battery life. Believe (most of) what you read. It's more or less a disaster. I'd like to tell you otherwise, believe me! And it's even more annoying when you realize there are Verizon apps running in the background that you can't get rid of (or stop with a Task Killer program -- they pop right back up!). If you run this phone on the 4G LTE network all day long, I'm here to tell you that it's HIGHLY unlikely you're even getting through the day without having to recharge. I found that I average (so far) about 4-6 hours between charges. And that is NOT with heavy use (streaming video, etc.). That's with light-to-moderate use during the day (1 or 2 quick phone calls, checking Gmail and Facebook, etc). If you read the reviews on here (and elsewhere - check on Verizon's own forums), you'll see people complaining of the same thing. I really hope that Verizon will put out a software update to address this issue, as it's most certainly one of the phone's major problems. Having said that, there are ways around the issue. Using different apps from the app store (Phone Info is the one I use), you can force the phone to operate in 3G mode only. That definitely helps batter life tremendously. You can also download/purchase a "task killer" app to close out apps running (draining battery) in the background. That also helps, but the biggest saver of the battery is forcing the phone into 3G only mode. Which, for me, is quite frustrating. Yeah, I'm saving on the battery life, but one of the MAIN REASONS I bought this phone to begin with is to access the 4G network. So it doesn't do me much good to run it in 3G only mode, although I'm forced to do it right now because of the battery life. It's frustrating, to say the least. Is it something Verizon will fix in the near future? Let's hope so. Just be aware of this issue before you buy this phone (many of the rumors surrounding the delayed release of this phone centered on the problems with its battery life).

Phone call quality is mediocre, at best. When I think of a word to describe the call quality, what comes to mind is "meh". That's really all I can say. For a device this technologically superior, it's call quality should be fantastic. It's NOT - it's just OK. Both the Droid Incredible and the Droid X are *FAR* superior than this phone in that regard. Why? I don't really know. If you read up on some of the newest Android phones (the Motorola Atrix on AT&T for example), a lot of them are having problems with call quality. Put the HTC Thunderbolt in that category too. I haven't really had anyone complain, per se, but it's just not that great. People sound very "tinny" on my end. I agree with others: the uppermost volume setting is definitely not loud enough, either. If you're in a really quiet room, it's fine, but good luck being able to hear anyone on a crowded city street. Again, I hope we'll see a fix for this sooner than later through a software update.

The camera on the phone is also just "OK". It's really nothing great. Yeah it's 8 megapixels, and yeah, it takes decent shots for a cell phone, but that's about all. It's been covered in great detail by reviews elsewhere, and I haven't really used it too much yet, so I'm not going into great detail here. I haven't been that impressed by it, at least not yet, but it's not awful either. I haven't used the front camera for any video calls or anything like that yet, so I can't comment on it much. It's 1.3 megapixels, that's about all I know. I'm sure it's also mediocre.

I think that about covers it, at least the main aspects of the phone, anyway. I will edit/update this initial review as I spend more time with the phone. Believe me, I *really* wanted this to be a 5-star phone, but it's honestly not. It's probably more like a 3.5 star phone, but due to the sheer speed of Verizon's LTE network, I'll be generous and give it a half-star bump to 4-stars. If Verizon can figure out the battery life problems and the call quality problems, it's definitely a 4.5 star phone (I'm keeping that other half-star reserved until Verizon decides not to kill the phone with bloatware!).

It's definitely a good (but not great) entrance into the 4G/LTE arena for Verizon. If you're going to buy the phone, temper your expectations a little. That's the best advice I can give. If you can stand to wait a few more months, I'd probably do so to see what's coming from Motorola, Samsung, LG, etc.

I hope this review helped you make a reasonable decision on the phone. HTC ThunderBolt 4G Android Phone (Verizon Wireless)'

Noise Canceling Headphones - headphones, bass headphones

These headphones a great if you crave bass. These headphones are awesome for watching movies when you don't want to bother anyone else. When you put them on you'll notice they do a considerably good job with noise cancelling and when you watch a movie or play a game they make you feel like you have a home theater system on your head. As for music they are best for hip hop/rap, electro, and any music with heavy bass below 50Hz.Although they are not so good for rock, heavy metal or any other type of rock because there is a gap in the frequency response of the main driver and the sub woofer where most of the bass in rock music is. I was disappointed by that. When I first saw these I was instantly in love with them and I didn't bother to read about them or let the reviews change my point of view, and if your like me this is probably the case. If you are gonna get them you'll have the mess with the equalizer of your audio source to make them sound how you want them to. They seem like a really cool thing, o look these have sub woofers in them how awesome is that. But keep in mind they are "vibrating" sub woofers and do NOT perform like a normal sub woofer and like I said lack bass in the 50Hz to 200Hz region. That's about where a lot of a bass guitars sound and where most of your vibration occurs. So if you do get these don't expect then to be act like miniature sub woofers cause they are meant to shake more than they are to reproduce sound. And also they headband is not exactly as what is pictured, it has a soft foam piece where the top of your head meets the headband, the new headband is more comfortable than what is pictured and is very strong and astonishingly light for it's size. These are a great set of headphones. They are very good at keeping outside noise out and youe noise in. Therefore you can be blasting these suckers and the person beside you will hardly even notice. The SQ is great and easily compares to some of the more recognized headphones companies such as Sennheiser which retail for around $100 - $150. Overall they are one of the best headphones you can ge for the price even if you aren't looking for the sub woofer, they offer superior noise canceling abilities, great SQ , are very light, and have a sub woofer in them. There isn't much more more you can ask for for $40-$50. If you don't mind the small region of bass between 50-200Hz that isn't as strong as with a conventional set of headphones then I would highly recommend these. And if you are worried about what I said then you should go and heck out Evergreen Technologies RumbleFX Force Feedback headphones, they are the best you can get with subwoofers in them, very loud, 40mm drivers, and light, although they don't offer as much noise canceling as the SkullCrushers do, if you do want to get a pair a the EverGreen Technologies you'll have to look around hard because rumor has it they are stopping production on the universal pair but if you don't need the universal pair just grab the AudioFX version with an USB connection instead. They are definitely worth it. Or if you prefer something smaller try the in ear Pelican Earsubs, only $20-$30 and have basically all the characteristics of the skullCrushers in a earbud form. There are also a new set of earbuds coming out soon caled the bass freguency V-Moda earbuds. Skullcandy SCS-SCBP3.5 Skullcrushers Subwoofer Stereo Headphones (Black Pinstripe)

I am an eighteen year old at highschool and got these headphones yesterday at Circuit City for $75.00 (w/ tax etc) I listen primarily to techno music but throw in everything else from Cream, to some Broadway songs, to Old School rap, the headphones will deal with most anything with pretty good sound. The bass is something incredible, you can't really understand what it produces until you try them out properly, it is amazing, they can get very low frequency, and very low notes and give a very powerful vibration which really does sound like a high end subwoofer system in a car or home theater. The bass adjuster is useful and you will most likely want to adjust it between songs, obviously this is easy, if you listen to the same genre constantly you can find a perfect setting, or just put it at 100 percent to show what they can do! The first night I got these I listened to the album "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse, and they couldn't have delivered better sound for the album. Now I give you easy pros and cons

cons

-fairly tight fit (good for blocking out ambient noise, but you can't wear them round your neck comfortably)

-Folding (This is very usful for travel however if you are wearing them about and take them off repeatedly it can get annoying)

-Leather pads (these are very comfortable and manage to block out sound, however after awhile they can get pretty hot)

pros

-Bass adjuster (tune perfectly for different songs)

-Cord (perfect length, its not too long, but not too short)

-Obviously: The Bass! (if you listen to bass heavy music you won't find better headphones for the price)

-Stylish design ( I often wear a suit, or a sport coat, so the pinstripes on the side look good with it)

-Accesories (allow you to hook them up to anything)

-Lightweight (won't feel unnatural and heavy on your head

These phones are certainly worth buying if you listen to bass heavy music, the bad reviews must be coming from those who are either not adjusting them, or listen to music that doesn't capitalize on the bass qualities. I also own the Bose In-Ear earphones, and the Bose on-ear quiet comforts, these can compare, I use the on-ears for the noise cancelling, the in-ears for running and light-weight traveling, now I have the Skullcandys for techno and rap. So now its your choice - Subwoofer - Bass - Headphones - Bass Headphones'
