Pet Grooming Tool - cordless, pet grooming tool

I purchased the short-lived previous version of this product, Dremel 765-01 Pet Nail Grooming Kit, and liked it so much that I bought the Dremel 7300-PT for friends. There are two differences between the 765 and the 7300- the casing of the 73000 is gray, and Amazon charges $29, rather than $32.

The newest version of Dremel's Pet Nail sander is well worth the money. It has changed what was previously a tortuous experience into something quick and easy.

I did some research before buying the 765 and 7300, and ended up choosing these over other products for several reasons.

PediPaws Pet Nail Trimmer- Several friends had bad experiences with it, generally finding it to be of poor quality.

Dremel 7700-02 MultiPro 7.2-Volt 20,000 RPM Two-Speed Rotary Tool with 50 Accessories- Although this is more powerful, it is also more expensive, heavier, larger, and louder, which would make it difficult to use on my nervous pet.

Dremel 761-03 Cordless Pet Nail Grooming Rotary Tool- This is the older version of the 765; the primary difference is that this required AA batteries. Because several people complained about having battery problems I decided to go with the updated version.

I made the right choice! I have a large pitbull who has dark nails, hates having anything done to her feet, has very long quicks that are fast to bleed and slow to stop, and wiggles and refuses to stay still when she is nervous. I have tried clipping her nails, filing her nails, and even taking her on long runs on rough ground to wear them down. This is by far the best solution.

I began by letting her see and smell the sander, and then running it over her body and feet with the power off. I then turned it on and held it away from her, again letting her hear, see, and smell it. I had treats at the ready, but she was fine. I held it near her for several minutes while on, and then touched the non-sanding end to her body so that she could feel the vibration. No problems. In fact she bent down to smell it, and pinned the sanding band between her face and my hand. We both jumped, but no pain or damage to either of us. Although I was prepared to stop if she got tired or nervous, she was so good that I was able to do all four paws. It took about 15 minutes, but with lots of "good girl" and belly rubs interspersed she was fine.

The sander itself is relatively small and light, making it easy to hold even for long periods. It is easy to put together; it comes with a small wrench to put new sanding bands on. Unlike its predecessor it comes with a rechargeable battery and charger. When sanding, even on high, it is fairly quiet and vibrations are minimal. The body of the sander was warming a bit after 15 minutes, but I noticed no heat in either my dog's nails or the sanding band. In addition the battery was still going strong. My sole complaint about this product is minor; the LED light on the charger lights up to indicate a connection between the battery and the charger, but doesn't change color or go off to indicate when charging is complete. The instruction book indicates that a full charge should take approximately 3 hours, so that's what I've gone with. I had to recharge it after about the fourth or fifth use.

I gave the Dremel 7300 to a friend, and she's used it on her two German Sherpherds and her cat, with similar success

This is a great product for nervous animals and/or owners, as it's almost impossible to do damage with, and allows easy care for an oft-neglected aspect of your pet's health. Dremel 7300-PT 4.8-Volt Pet Grooming Kit

I purchased this Dremel 7300-PT for the sole purpose of trimming the nails on my very skittish Golden Retriever. She HATES to have her nails done. As soon as it arrived, I plugged in into the AC outlet to get a full charge. Although I did not use it for another week or more, when I did, it still retained a full charge. I was able to use it for nearly a half hour to trim all of our gal, Molly's, nails, using the high speed setting with no loss of power. I like the fact that this Dremel is cordless which means no cord to get tangled up in her paws! The unit is not particularly loud (even on high speed), allowing me to trim Molly's nails with minimal nervousness on her part.

I defintely recommend this particular Dremel for use on your pet's nails. Plus, it can also be used for myriad other tasks around the house, too, where a Dremel would come in handy!

Two grown dogs (50lb. Dalmation & 75lb.Flat Coat Retriever) that didn't move an inch when I used it for the first time.

I have used it three times with the same results.

One 16 week old puppy (38 lb. Flat Coat Retriever) was nervous at first and once he felt it he sat still.

Why did I wait so long to get a Dremel to trim their toenails?

What a difference from using a nail clipper.

Plenty of power. I haven't needed the higher speed.

I have used it three times on all three dogs and still does not need a re-charge.

I love it and recommend it to all dog owners.

My dog was very skittish of nail clippers and would shake and jerk every time I tried to clip his nails with a traditional nail clipper. He does wonderful with this! Trimming his nails has never been easier! I have a small dog, 13 pounds, so I ordered the Dremel 430 1/4" drum sanding mandrel and Dremel 438 1/4" 120 Grit Sanding Bands 6 Pack. I highly recommend ordering these too if you have a smaller dog since the Dremel comes with the 1/2" size which is too big for the small dogs. I would definately recommend this product!

My shepherd let me use this on him the first time I fired it up. The only thing he wanted to check out was the odor from the grinding. He has never been a big problem with clippers but would pull his foot away. That does not happen using the Dremel tool. My standard poodle took little notice either, but the groomer had used one on her. It feels substantial and well made (Mexico, not China) and it charged up quickly. The cordless design makes it easy to use as you move around the dog. I am very happy with the Dremel tool for my two larger dogs. Don't go with the very cheap TV advertised trimmer, this is a real tool, well worth the cost. - Cordless - Pet Grooming Tool - Pet Nail Care - Dremel'

Light Weight - cool, light weight

The ExOfficio Boxer Brief is the best underwear out there. Period.

Get over the price-scare - yes, $25 is a lot of money for underwear, but they're well worth it.

Fits well, reduces chafing, wicks sweat, fights odor.

You can live on two pairs of these - wash one at night, wear the other. Wrap it in a towel, stomp dry - should be ready in a few hours.

I purchased a medium and a small. I'm 5'7" tall, 30" waist, and the small is a better fit. ExOfficio Men's Give-N-Go Boxer Brief,Black,Medium

I wore a pair of these on a 3-day backpacking trip on the Alabama Pinhoti Trail. They kept me pleasantly cool, dry, & odor-free...plus they prevented chafing perfectly (I'm a 5'9"/190lbs man, so I have a little more fat on my inner thigh than I wish I had).

I would highly recommend these boxer briefs.

I travel the world and these are perfect. Multi-day wear if necessary or they wash and dry quickly - overnight at the longest. I carry about 4 pair for multi-week trips.

I was skeptical at first but after trying them on the road, these are much more comfortable than any cotton underwear I ever wore. Really a great fabric. And they seem to last forever.

I now own about 10 pair or so for daily wear.

First of all, I congratulate you for reading underwear reviews. Clearly you're searching for the best--not necessarily the best in underwear--but you may have searched for the best in safari, tropical, or travel clothes.

Like me, you're saying: Really? A pair of underwear got 56 people to log in, type up a word or two, and give 5-stars to A PAIR OF UNDERWEAR! Either ExOfficio spends way too much on a secondary product's social media or the Men's Give-N-Go(tm) Boxer Brief is the best pair of underwear ever!

Hard to believe, but it's probably the latter. Most reviews say that this underwear is great for a month's trek through wherever. It probably is and I wish I had this underwear when I roamed. I'll add this to those extreme scenarios:Any day that you wear this underwear, it delivers everything promised in adventure-wear. It's Teflon. It's cool, dry, and forgotten: all day meetings; sales meetings; presentations to your boss's boss--you won't think about what's under your suit.

I am 6' 160lbs with about a 31" waist. I ordered a medium but it seems kind of big. I ordered a small and will see how that fits compared to a medium. the medium is listed as 32-24" and small at 28-30"..... what about a 30-32" waist?!

i bought 2 pair of these underwear after reading the excellent reviews.

i needed something for extended walks/bike rides (8-10 miles) to help prevent chafing and to keep me comfortable and dry. these definately do the trick. cotton briefs were making my walks miserable and to the point of being unbearable.

at first, looking at the $25 price tag for a pair of underwear, i was almost to the point of trying to live with the discomfort. thank goodness i went ahead and purchased these. it is unbelievable how much of a difference these make for my walks. btw.. i now walk/ride 10-12 miles at a time with no discomfort at all.

care for this item is almost too simple. i wash mine in the bathroom sink with a very small amount of detergent and hang dry for a few hours and they are ready to go again.

my advice - buy you a pair and you will not regret the price one bit.

UPDATE - after owning these garments for 5 months and after a good test run in the extreme heat and alot of hand washings, i recommend these underwear even more. they have held up great and the comfort is excellent. i initially bought 2 pair because of the price scare. i see them at $17.98(size large/ocean color) each with free shipping. keep an eye on the price as it fluctuates often. i am ordering 3 more pair today.

I bought 6 of these for my husband, because the one we'd purchased locally prior to that had quickly become his favorite pair of everyday briefs. Now, he has one for each day of the week, and although they're not cheap, I think they're worth their weight in gold. So far, after several months of wear, they show no signs of degradation, and my husband says they're the most comfortable underwear he's ever had. He also wears them when he works out at the gym and loves their wicking ability. My teenage son is now requesting some, too, so I'll be placing another order soon.

The price seems steep. But it's worth it.

For once a product description fits. Wash 'em, roll 'em up in a towel, squeeze the towel a bit,

then hang 'em to dry for three hours. Considering my place has no washer / drier, the quick dry-ness

of the ExOfficio briefs is a lifesaver.

And they are the most comfortable pairs of underwear I have ever owned. Bought four for traveling

and threw out the old cotton boxers. They weigh as much as a handkerchief. - Outdoors - Cool - Light Weight - Backpacking'

Fingerprint - door lock, dead bolts

The print reader used on this unit is a "sweep" type which reads the print in a completely different method than the "touch" type readers. The reviewer who stated that this technology has been hacked by mythbusters is plain wrong. The mythbusters episode featured a "touch" type print reader and required 3 days of painstaking effort to pull off. The technique used by mythbusters would fail if used on a "sweep" type reader.

Also, the reviewer who stated that this lock opens without requiring a fingerprint needs to take a look a the instruction manual. When there are no prints recorded the lock is designed to open without a fingerprint. Just record one print and it will only unlock with that print.

Reviews are helpful if you have actual experience using a product. People shouldn't post false information because they saw a youtube video and suddenly they know all about it. Keyless Deadbolt Lock with Biometric Fingerprint Recognition - "Polished Brass" Finish, #428

Worth every penny. My wife was skeptical, now she's sold. I'm all for bio-metric technology. I think everyone on the planet should have a RFID tag. The instructions say it will take up to 10 prints. Recommend programming in each user's print 3 or 4 times. Hasn't missed yet. Sure beats fumbling around in the dark for keys. - Door Lock - Deadbolt - Dead Bolts - Keyless'

Friendship - creativity, craft kits

I have 3 daughters ages 9, 10, and 12. They have tried making bracelets before and got bored very fast. Not the case with this item. They have had it for over a month now and are still creating bracelets. I have had to purchase more string for them but the foam discs have held up very well. They have also learned different patterns and made their own. This is a great rainy day activity even though my girls have sat on the porch on nice days and weaved away. Easy to learn, hard to put down. Alex Toys Friends 4 Ever Bracelet Making Kit

Let me just first say that I bought this to make bracelets with my 3 year old daughter. She has been into the simple stringing of beads to make bracelets and I thought this might be fun for her. Not only is it fun for her, its fun for me too. She needed my help for the first bracelet, but now she can make them on her own and they come out perfect every single time. We got this less than a week ago and she has already made over 10 bracelets on her own. I love that it comes with 4 different designs. The only thing I wish was there were additional designs you could buy!! Other than that, this is an awesome product and should it ever need replaced due to wear & tear, I definitely wouldn't mind!

This is so great for all ages! I bought it for my 8 year old girl. I thought it was hard at the beginning, but once you get it, it was a piece of cake! I ended up making bracelets too!! I really reccomend this!

We bought this for our 7 year old daughter for her birthday hoping to interest her in a new hobby that would encourage her creativity (and keep her hands busy). The manufacturer suggests this product for 8-12 year olds and I would generally agree (based on dexterity and attention span). However, some younger children, especially those that have the attention span and can repeat a pattern with their hands fairly reliably, will be able to master this activity. Our 5 1/2 year old daughter has given it a try but needs help every once in a while when she gets off the pattern.

We've noticed that the girls don't have as much problem with the circular looms. However, they've had difficulty getting the bracelets from the square looms to come out uniformly. It seems to be a matter of learning how to keep uniform tension on the floss and weave consistently. Not difficult; it just takes a little attention and practice.

The "suitcase" contains four foam looms (2 square and 2 round); 22 skiens of floss; 2 small containers of beads (clear, and multicolored); a beading needle; and instructions.

* Each loom has two patterns (one on each side) for a total of 8 patterns. The finished pattern design is printed around the center hole of the loom, and the notches are painted with the suggested colors used to create the pattern. It's easy to substitute out colors to create your own color schemes. After several months, we've noticed the paint start to rub off the notches on the foam looms (bound to happen over time). Repainting with nail polish may help though we haven't tried that yet.

* The skiens of floss can get used up pretty quickly (only 22). We've found that the local sewing/craft store sells a pack of 50 skiens for around $10.

* We haven't used the beading needle, so I can't comment there. The beads, however, are the right size for the floss and the kids fingers (bigger than seed beeds, smaller than pony beads). My girls haven't shown much interest in incorporating the beads into their projects. They seem to get caught up in the rhythm of the weaving and forget to use them. I would caution that the container lids don't secure down - they slip right off. I would suggest finding another container with a snug lid or taping the lids down to prevent spilled beads.

* The instructions are fairly easy to follow. As has been mentioned by others, the YouTube videos are helpful, especially for those that learn best by watching others. A ruler for measuring out floss has been printed on the fold-out instructions, so all you really need is a pair of scissors for cutting the floss and a pen/pencil (for creating the first loop).

* We still keep the materials, looms, and supplies in the "suitcase" which has proven to be durable.

As our girls have used the product, we've found that they favor the round looms and bracelets over the square. I think this is largely because (1) the weaving rhythm is more continous on the circular looms, (2) it's easier to keep constant tension on the circular looms, (3) the consistent tension yields a more uniform and finished looking product, (4) the round bracelets are usually faster to complete (our experience has been 1 1/2 to 2 hours for the round bracelets compared to 3 for the flat bracelets), and (5) the girls favor the heart and flower designs produced by the circular looms.

Our girls have had a fun time creating bracelets for friends (boys and girls) and themselves. They seem to enjoy planning out the colors and trying to invent new patterns. I would agree with the reviewers who would have liked to see additional patterns. We've also used the floss to create our own knotted/braided/woven bracelets using patterns we've found elsewhere on the web.

Overall, a fun product that was worth the $17.50 we paid for it!

Gave it to my 9 year old God daughter. She and her friends loooove this one. It is a bonding experience for them. Inspires creativity, sharing and fun times. The price is really good, so there is nothing to loose here. Instructional and enjoyable...and it keeps them busy :)

My daughter received this kit for Christmas, and has really enjoyed making bracelets. The kits comes with a full rainbox of colors, and the instructions are easy to follow. The addition of beads makes things a little more messy and complicated, but the end result is worth it. A great gift for girls between the ages of 6-15. - Craft Kits - Creativity - Bracelets - Craft Kit'

Charger - htc

This is the worst charger for an HD2 or any other phone, it's very cheap and it breaks within like 2 weeks guaranteed. It also has that annoying green light that blares when it's charging. Belly Dance Hip Scarf

My black belly dance skirt arrived as predicted ( approx. 3 days ). My purchased item was exactly as the one I saw on screen, only better !

It is gorgeous..the material and gold coins used are of high quality. I am very pleased. Black Belly Dance Skirt With Gold Coins (Great Gift Idea)

Loved it, taking a belly dance course, made extremely well.

Please remember not everyone is small, some of us are a little heavier than should be, so if you could make them a little longer-wider(larger hips) that would be fantastic!!!

It looks very pretty and elegant. The gold coins aren't very heavy--I prefer that. It's a good price. I'll be ordering the other colors, hopefully they have this in different colors.

Very good purchase! Arrived quickly too (like 2 days)

This is a very sexy and light-weight wrap and it has a good sound when you move. The coins have good weight to them (as in they are not cheap and flimsy). Good construction of the coins. The only downside to scarves.....The scarf does need adjusting from time to time as the material is sheer and as you move, it will move off to the side or slide down (mainly sliding down is the issue)----

But great gold coin and black combo. I love it. I have 3 other ones that have more coins and they are shorter and have a different material. This is my favorite. There are enough coins, even though it looks like much less than other ones you see. Its a good buy.'

After receiving this case, I almost wrote a review to state that, well, you CAN get your Epic 4G to fit with a little bit of work. And it gets better after a few days. I held off, thinking I'll get to reviewing once I get some miles on this thing.

Well, here I am after three months of continuous use. Turns out the reason it kept getting less and less snug was the stitching on the left side of the front panel (what's under the flap when it's closed) was getting loose... and now it's pretty much unravelled, exposing the cardboard embedded within that panel that gives it its stiffness. The cardboard has Chinese printing on it - wonder if they cut up old shipping boxes for reuse? I digress.

Three stars because it lasted 3 months under heavy use, and cost very little. I got what I paid for (both good and bad). But I'll be trying something else to replace it. Black Horizontal Leather Pouch For Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G Phone Case Cover with Belt Clip Magnetic Closing

Ordered the case and got it quickly.

Found the case to be a tight fit at first (as most leather products are when shipped) but found if I slid the flap INSIDE the case then put the phone in ... and let it sit overnight (the important part) it stretched the leather enough to allow easy use of the phone (an old 2-way radio trick, BTW)

This even worked when I received my case cover ... just a night with the flap inside the case with the phone allowed for all the stretching needed for daily use.

With a little maintenance, a great case for the price!

The shipping was excellent. I was excited that I received it so fast. Nice looking but you can barely put the phone in and take it out. I missed alot of calls because of this "TO MUCH OF A TIGHT FIT" . Dont even think about putting a case on with it. I dont recommend for the Samsung Epic.

i didnt even have this fone case for a week before it ripped on me makin me have to glue it with super glue an that didnt last for long now i have to buy another one i wish i could get my money back for it. - Samsung - Epic - Accessory Kits - Htc Evo'

Panasonic - viera, panasonic

This TV hooked up to my PC's HDMI port without problems, and produces a crystal-clear, sharp picture. For people complaining about 'halos' around screen fonts etc., turn down the 'sharpness' setting in the picture settings. If you have overscan issues and the edges of the screen appear cut off, switch to 'HDMI2' mode in the settings and your screen will display properly. Panasonic VIERA TC-L32U3 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV

This tv is awesome!! ..I waited for the new "alpha panel" ( as stated by cnet and is used on higher end tvs) rather than panasonics old lcd panel; and it is worth the wait!! The colors are NOT washed out as one reviewer stated and are very good..The screen is a BIT slightly draker but that brings out the color better in my opinion ... They even improved on the angle viewing so its not faded looking from the sides...My friend brought one to. I think the last reviewer got a bad one.. There are good reviews on this unit from cnet and best buy and even the first person on this page said so minus pc hookup thou...Way to go panasonic!!!

I use this in my studio as a video editing monitor and have no complaints except that it does not include a S Video port. S Video is a now well past supporting, but while transferring older material it would be useful FOR ME. I transfer using composite, which is ok for the short while I need it. Obviously it looks great and matches color very well. This outputs full 1080, which I needed and shows me the under-scanning I need to prove to me that I have a full frame. I recommend it for any TV and monitor use. It is very light and a breeze to wall mount.

Gaming:

BAD NEWS: First let me say that if you are looking to be a MLG pro and have the absolutely 0 input lag, you shouldn't buy this TV. Most TV's above 32 inches will have some kind of input lag. I would advise you to buy a 23" monitor for around ~$200 if you are looking for no delay at all. This TV is no different in that if you play competitively, you will notice a difference. I have tried HDMI, Compnent, and VGA...all play almost no affect with VGA "feeling" the least laggy. If you are looking to play any FPS competitively, I suggest buying a PC monitor as lag will be non-existent. The "Game Mode" is lame. It turns off all the post-processing options (you can turn off manually), but for some reason it seems to lag more than just leaving it on standard.

GOOD NEWS: This TV does not have as much input lag as other brands I have had in the past (Insignia, Sony, LG). If you are a casual gamer who plays fps/sports/adventure games than this TV may be right for you as the input lag is not noticeable to the average player.

Movies:

BAD NEWS: There is only a digital Audio Optical Out. I was hoping for RCA Audio out so I could connect it to my 2.1 speakers that only have RCA and 3.5mm input. (This is more of a personal Bad News than a Con of the TV)

GOOD NEWS: The TV works fine and looks beautiful. Movies/Sports are crisp and they sound descent out of the TV speakers.

PC:

BAD NEWS: I wouldn't use is as a dedicated monitor for gaming for the exact reason stated above. It feels slow, but maybe I was just to close to the screen.

GOOD NEWS: If you are going to use this as a secondary monitor to watch movies on or do off screen work (Monitor Stocks, watch streams, etc...) it works great. If you want to hook up a wireless mouse and keyboard and watch some netflix or browse youtube, it works great.

CONCLUSION:

The TV is a great TV for $400. It doesn't have as much delay as some of the other units I sampled and feels pretty solid for my gaming experience. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because it isn't input lag free (ERRR game mode blows) and it also didn't have RCA out. The complaints are small, but I feel they warranted a star down. I would recommend this TV to a average gamer who is looking for something that is a bit bigger in size and also allows for games to be played enjoyably.

Any Questions, feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to answer them.

The TV-and-DVD-watching quality on mine was pretty good, as was the sound. But I had to send mine back because, despite this being marketed as good for connecting to a PC, I could not get a sharp image. I tried all possible settings. Note that I did get the screen sized correctly, but the TV just couldn't produce clear text or photos from a PC. Both text and icons were squiggly, and I could not get rid of the halo effect (around text) unless darkening the TV too low. Pics were not any better unless I stood way back.

I called Panasonic, getting through very quickly to a friendly rep. Unfortunately, I didn't get straight info from her. She admitted that none of the HDMI ports would work right for a PC, but she did say I could use the VGA for the full 1080p resolution, because the "VGA port is tuned for a PC." Nope, at least not with my EVGA nVidia GTX 460, using a DVI to VGA converter. The highest the set would take on VGA was 768, which of course looked horrible.

Note that I have a two year old, 46" Samsung that works with my nVidia card and any laptop we've hooked to it, using HDMI port #2.

With so many people into streaming and wanting bigger monitors with good sound, Panasonic could have had a big hit with this. By now, hooking up a PC to a 1080p TV should be standard and hassle free, especially in a $500, 32" set.

Wanted, if possible, to get a display device to be both a HD television and a great monitor. This would satisfy the want to have both in a small study. I am an avid photographer using very high resolutions with high end Nikon cameras. Also do HD video (1080p & AVCHD) as well. Needed to get a display to handle editing for both. Definitely wanted a monitor with an IPS panel to assist with very good color, better viewing angles, etc. Looked at the LG's (hit or miss IPS panel in some of the 32"), Samsung's (not an ISP panel), etc., as well. Went to several local AV stores in the local area and was able to see many of the models I was interested in. Hands down this Panasonic was the standout of the 32 inchers! Made the purchase several days later and connected everything up yesterday. All connections were as simple as could be. On HDMI1, I connected the Comcast HD cable box. Excellent picture right at the start (after going into the picture menu and turning the C.A.T.S to the "OFF" position). Color, sharpness, brightness, contrast, etc., were fantastic. At this time, have no reason to adjust this input.

Now, for the computer part. Powered down all devices, then connected my HP HPE 390t with the 1.8GB nVidia Geforce GTX 260 video card with an HDMI out to the HDMI2 input on the Panasonic. Powered both TV and HP computer back up. WOW...as the computer began to load, the color, fidelity, etc of the windows blue intro screen was fantastic as was the HDTV portion when I first turned on the cable. After logging in, my screen background photo (photo of wife and I in front of a glacier and mountain in Alaska) just blew me away. No other monitor I have had (and its been several) since 2008 (date of our trip and photo), was able to display it so well. NOW comes the important part. This TC-L32U3 DOES handel the PC very, very well, but a few minor adjustments needed to be made: 1)the computer displayed the background larger than the TV screen size. NO problem. Went into Windows 7 control panel and made sure the video card was set at 1920 X 1080, the refresh rate at 60Hz, and color depth at 32 bit. ALL was good there. Next went into the TV's menu and did the following: using the TV's remote, I entered the picture mode; scrooled down to "Aspect adjustments" and hit enter; left the "Screen format" at "Full", but adjusted the "HD size" to "Size 2". Pure Magic!!! The PC now displayed the correct resolution beautifully!!! NO issues. 2.)At the advice of another reviewer, I did knock down the sharpness alittle, but not sure I needed to it, because I saw NO issue with being able to read the text, being already sharp and clear. Just keep in mind that this is not a high end monitor only, but on this 32", it is very good. 3.)I also adjusted TV's "Black level" to "Dark" (just my preference).

I now use these minor changes on both HDMI1 and HDMI2 inputs. I also kept the pictue in "Standard" mode, which I have hardly ever done on many past TVs. Always had to adjust them to get more vibrant color, etc. Not with this set. The "Standard" was exceptional right out of the box (again, you have to turn the C.A.T.S to off, so your room lighting is not the changing the brightness on you). Have NO intention of calibrating at this time (I do have a calibrater stored some where).

On page 38 of the owners/operation manual, Panasonic puts in the disclaimer, "use with a PC is not assumed". That is probably true in some respects. You apparently have to have compatible equipment. If you try this display, you will not be disappointed. But the PC's video card must be compatible. Excellent display on both my HD cable and PC inputs. - Viera - Panasonic - Lcd Tv'

pencil sharpener - pencil sharpener, pencil sharpeners

Just purchased this a couple of weeks ago.

Pros:

- Heavy Weight. Won't move around a bunch. If you put a lot of force on the pencil, you may have to hold it down with a finger (e.g. not much pressure)

- Sharpens pencils to a sharp point

- Blue light shows when a pencil is sharpened and auto shuts off. This is great for my 3 yr old who would grind a pencil to a stub.

- Motor seems to be a workhorse. I haven't had it long, but it has not even warmed up with the use I have had with it.

Cons:

- Big. This has a much larger footprint than I expected, but I didn't read the dimensions before purchasing.

- It takes a couple of inches of pencil to put into the machine. This just means you can not sharpen a pencil when it gets down to the last couple of inches.

Overall, I am happy with it. If I had to purchase again, I would either get this one or the "Teacher Pro" version. I am happy, though X-ACTO ProX Electric Pencil Sharpener with SmartStop, Gray and Black (1612)

Being a middle school teacher, I see all sorts of harsh treatment of school supplies, so I was a little bit worried about investing that much of my own money in a pencil sharpener, but so far, I'm impressed!

It takes a bit more force than you would think to sharpen a pencil, but man -- it's fast! I teach in an inner city school where kids sometimes are not taught how to treat things respectfully, but they just love this sharpener.

My biggest complaint is that my classroom has become a revolving door because of students coming in from other classes to sharpen their pencils in this beast! If it lasts just two school years, I'll say it was money well-spent and will buy another one.

I have had the sharpener for a month now, using it regularly in the classroom. It has worked wonderfully and has made my job as a teacher much easier each day. Kids are very happy to have a very sharp pencil to use. Definitely a worthy investment.

Works great! The moms at school got one of these for our "work room" we sharpen pencils for tests! I purchased this one as a gift for my son's second grade teacher. In a few seconds a mom helping can have a 30 new pencils sharpened, or the kids can re sharpen pencils in 1 or 2 seconds, the little blue light tells them the pencil is done! Perfect little work horse!

As a teacher I was trying to find a pencil sharpener that actually worked. I am disappointed in this sharpener. It was hard for even me to push the pencil in hard enough to get it to sharpen and it won't sharpen unless you really shove it in there and then the sharpener moves so I had to hold the sharpener with one hand and shove and turn the pencil in there with the other. The blue light doesnt always light up either. This was from the first time the sharpener was used! I have a $20 staples sharpener which works much better. Not buying another xacto product again.

I've been using this sharpener in my Kindergarten classroom for the past three weeks. Very happy with it. For those of you who do not live in North America like me (I live in Australia), you have to take into consideration of buying a Step down transformer (it costs me 30AUD)

Not good for kids because the pencil has to be jammed into the sharpener with a lot of force for it to function. The end-result seems to be a point that is not uniformly shaped. Cheaper sharpeners seem to work a lot better and faster.

This thing is large and heavy duty. It looks and operates like a quality product that should last a long time. Aside from its size, I am glad I purchased this product. For the money, you should expect to have one of the best pencil sharpeners for a long time. - School Supplies - Pencil Sharpener - Pencil Sharpeners'

Dont Waste Your Money - junk, too expensive

The only 'problem' with the Fushigi ball is that they're effectively marketing a skill- which requires tons of practice- by telling the public that the result is yielded by the product itself.

It's called 'contact juggling' and it's a really cool thing to watch. There's a gal on Youtube who takes an orange and achieves the very same illusion you see done on Fushigi ball commercials.

Maybe it's a bit mean-spirited of me, but I do kind of snicker at the enormous number of people who think that the Fushigi company has overcome the principles of gravity and put it into some magic ball. This thing is a classic, classic example of 'fools and their money..." Anyone who bought this thing truly believing that it somehow magically floated in the air is a colossal sucker; life for them will be a lot more disappointing than their Fushigi letdown.

I suppose it's a fine contact juggling ball, but just understand that you can do the same thing with any solid sphere and when you buy the Fushigi ball, if you're expecting the results to be as-seen-on-tv, you'd better be prepared to invest an awful lot of time and practice in learning the art itself. There is nothing magic about the Fushigi ball and you will not be able to 'make it float' just by buying one. Fushigi Magic Gravity Ball

I bet everyone has said this, but it's just a ball. Since I contact juggle, everyone asks me to buy it cause it'll float better (it defies gravity, etc.) I haven't bought one, but I know people who do. Ok-

It's the worst ball you can buy. It's extremely unstable, pretty fragile (it can break into pieces,) and not to mention it wobbles. Yeah, that's right, it's a ball with a terrible center of gravity. If you roll it on a table, it will probably roll haphazardously before falling off. It's JUST A BALL, and it FAILS AT BEING A BALL. If you don't believe me, look up Fushigi videos about it's durability and quality. Just saying.

It looks amazing. The only problem is the people you see on the TV advertisement have all praticed for countless hours to make this thing work. If you like to juggle then maybe its for you. If you want something that you can take out of the box and make it work be prepared to do alot of pratice. The DVD is good to show you how they make it appear to be floating. But it is just an illusion, maybe a good gift for a magician or circus performer. Probably not a good choice for anyone under the age of 10.

This is not a toy, must be purchased for people older than 15 years. Lots of practice to get the best from it. Good as a different kind of amusement and be sure the one that receives it has the patience and interest with things that are not easy to handle but can provide satisfaction when learned.

First off it's called contact juggling not fushigi. Contact juggling is a difficult thing to master. (I don't even think I've mastered it yet) Don't expect this so called magic gravity ball to do anything amazing on it's own as the illusion of levitation is created by the juggler not the ball. I did get one of these to mess around with out of curiosity and found it to be a poorly made contact juggling ball. First off it isn't a regular acrylic ball. It has a smaller metal ball inside it. imperfections on the metal ball inside make "tell" marks and completely spoil the illusion. Whats more ball inside the one I have is off center further ruining the illusion when performing an isolation move. Don't be fooled by a company trying to brand and market this performance art for quick profit. If your interested in contact juggling, great! Invest in a real acrylic ball or stage practice ball, But avoid this cheap insult to the art.

I warned my 10 year-old not to buy this, but she insisted it would magically float based on the commercials. It's a ball. That's it. Total waste of money. She's very disappointed she saved up her allowance and used it to buy this ball. It's a shame that advertisers are able to market things so deceptively.

Wow, the t.v. ad for the Fushigi is so effective and every kid seems to want one. It was at the top of my 10 year old's birthday wish list and I almost bought one online because he had to have it and I had no idea where else to get it. In some cases, shipping was outrageous. Luckily, I came across the Fushigi at Walgreen's for 19.99. I had read reviews and knew the risk but thought I would get one at that price. Well, as it turns out it was a waste of money. This may be a legitimate item for older kids who truly want to learn the craft of contact juggling, but it was far too difficult for my 10 year old, not to mention the ball is way to heavy and big for his hands. I don't think I am going out on a limb to say that the vast majority of kids will not have the interest or skill to really use this and they will do what my son did with it-- give up after the dvd and trying it an hour and display it on a bookshelf. My son's friends have become so excited to spy this on his bookshelf and try it but, sadly, not one has been able to manage to do anything with it. And the ball is very heavy and you run the risk of kids dropping it on their toes, tossing and breaking your t.v., etc. Overall, it was a waste of money. But if your kid must have it, then you should look at the local drugstore rather than pay a premium.

I bought this at best buy for my 10 year old nephew.

He tried the tricks on the DVD and dropped the ball more than he held it.

The ball is too big for his hands or any child under the age of 13 I'd say.

Was very frustrating for him, so he lost interest in it.

I found it to be nothing more than a pretty ball that takes many hours if not years to master it as a juggling ball. The "Magic" is in the placement of the fingers or hands. It's NOT a take out of the box and show your tricks immediatly!

So if you want to buy this and show off your stuff like they do on TV in hours or days... Forget it.

And don't buy this for a child with small hands. It's about the size of a baseball, and you need to wrap your fingers around it in strange positions to do the tricks.

If you want to practice without the $20 ball, get an orange or baseball and go look on youtube to see how the pros teach you for free :) - Mind Control - Toys - Junk - Too Expensive'

Impact Wrenches - cordless tools, 18v

I install garage doors, and my impact wrench is my number one weapon. I have owned a 14.4 Milwaukee, 14.4 DeWalt, 18v DeWalt, and now this one. I had to send the Milwaukee back numerous times because of it's poor build quality. I have had motors die on the DeWalt due to its poor cooling design. There are small plastic fins in the motor which move air and keep the motor cool, and they have broken of on every DeWalt impact I have owned. I have been using the Hitachi for more than 4 months without a problem. I look actually look forward to using it. The battery stays secured to the drill, even after a four five foot fall. I laughed at the little light it comes with at first, but it has come in handy in dark garages. The torque is strong enough to pull the lug nuts of a wheel hub, and the battery life is stellar. One battery will get me through multiple double sized garage door installs. The DeWalt would kill at least too full batteries in only one install. It's safe to say that one Hitachi lithium-ion batter = 3+ DeWalt NiCads.

Another reviewer has mentioned a bad smell from the motor. All my impacts, drills, saws, and other power tools have gave off burning odor during the break-in of the tool. This is normal.

One other component of the impact which I enjoy is the pin. Unlike the DeWalt, the pin is designed to keep the socket secure when the pin of the impact is in line with the hole of the socket. The socket WILL come off of the impact with a little force unlike the DeWalt. With the DeWalt, the pin had to be compressed with a nail or screw in order to remove the socket.

To sum this review up... Buy the Hitachi. Hitachi WR18DL 18-volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Impact Wrench

I am a Hitachi fan converted over from Makita. I use this Hitachi WR18DL 18-volt Cordless Impact Wrench to change flat tires on my 2 construction trailers. This Hitachi takes the drudgery out of changing flat tires.

Now I am also using it instead of my air impact wrench around my shop, etc. etc. NO AIR HOSES NEEDED.

Have had impact wrench for few weeks. It is very light and the battery's hold charge very well. The work light is a nice option.

Works well to disassemble engine parts etc.

The only possible negative is it has a tough time with wheel nuts. However it really is not rated as high a tork range as a air impact.

Overall meets all my expectations.

Got the WR18DL today and it promptly took a lug nut that was torqued to 80ft/lb off my Maxima - in about 5 seconds. I plan on keeping this lightweight bulldog in my trunk at all times for just that purpose.

One thing about Hitachi Li-Ion tools that gets overlooked is their battery technology. All Li-Ion batteries are not alike! Hitachi uses the same nano-phosphate formula that DeWalt uses. This technology allows the cycle-life of these batteries to be tripled over the standard manganese (Milwaukee and pretty much everyone else uses this) to 1000-1500 cycles. Manganese Li-Ion only lasts 300-500 cycles - same as NiCd and NiMH. You will need new batteries a lot less often with Hitachi and DeWalt as a result.

I really wish that Ryobi would adapt their One+ impact driver to a wrench because I have their 18V Li-Ion battery, but they didn't - yet. Since Ryobi uses manganese Li-Ion, this is no great hardship. Hitachi sells many bare tools that can use these batteries, so while it's not as versatile as the One+ system, it's the next best thing - with better batteries!

If you're taking big rig tires off, go for the Snap-On CT4850, but anything shy of that can be done at half the price and half the weight by the WR18DL - (again) with better batteries!

Lovin' it.

Don't let the size of this tool trick you. This fanstastic little powerhouse removes the wheel lugs on my trailer and SUVs rapidly. The specs say it's only 1950in-pounds, or 162ft-pounds. It seems to have this plus some. For seriously stubborn tasks, a large and heavy electric may be necessary or a pneumatic impact for the ultimate torque, but for 98% of what I do messing with my Jeeps and lawn tractor blade changing etc, this is a super convenient, small, lightweight powerhouse... (and I don't have to move my compressor, or run super long air lines to my work.)

I shopped for a long time before buying this. There are heavier impacts... Ingersol Rand makes a great cordless with Lithium batteries at 350 ft-pounds. It's $400 w/ two batteries. The Dewalt cordless impact has 300 ft-pounds at $299, but it continues to use the outdated Nicad batteries..in the heat where I live, these fail rapidly and you spend a fortune replacing them every year. I looked at more powerful plug-ins, all above the $150 range have great torque (like the Dewalt:340 ft-pounds at $179), but you'll have to run that power cord to your task. And, most of these tools are HEAVY.

My plan is to use this lightweight powerhouse for most of my chores, and when I need super torque, either hit the task with a 24 inch breaker bar, or breakdown and get a corded electric. If your wheel lugs are not seriously coroded and neglected, this tool seems to have the muscle to take them off. It's so small, it's almost fun to see this tool remove the lugs so easily!

Whoa....size does matter! Small, compact, lightweight size in this instance. If you want a cordless impact wrench...you've gotta try this baby! I can hardly believe the power it has for such a small tool! I work at a wrecking yard driving fork lift, and pull and park an average of 30-40 vehicles a day. I have had my Hitachi impact for almost a year now and I use it 5 days a week to remove wheels from many of these cars and trucks among other tasks. Then I bring it home on weekends in case I have any tasks at home that I might want use it for....it's a tool I just don't like to be without in case I have a wrenching job! I am a mechanical guy and work on cars, appliances, and about anything else that I can fix myself.

I have owned several impact wrenches. I've had a few cheap ones that I won't bother to talk about. Previous to my Hitachi, I had a Goodyear Racing impact wrench. I liked it and it did a good job, but it was heavy, clumsy, and pretty much designed just for using on lug nuts. The batteries also didn't last a long time on a charge and deteriorated a little each time they were recharged requiring replacement after about 6 months. Finally, my charger went belly up as it fried my last battery, so, I went shopping for a new impact wrench as I really need to have a cordless impact on my job.

First I bought a Makita impact wrench thinking that would be the answer. It was lithium-ion, so that solved the battery problem to a great degree, but what a monster. Again, big and heavy and clumsy, and I don't think it was as powerful as my Goodyear Racing impact gun....I quickly returned this puppy.

Then I tried the Hitachi WR18DL....and let me tell you.....this baby smokes! Very light and small and easy to handle but has lots of power and 2 speed settings and was about the same price as the Makita. It is super fast for removing or installing bolts and nuts of all kinds and sizes. It won't do like 1 ton trucks and once in a while at work I will get a lug nut that is so tight that it won't break it loose and I have to break the nut with a fourway by hand. That said, she goes thru 95% of the lug nuts and anything else I have tried without breakin' a sweat.

This little Hitachi impact makes every job that involves wrenching fast and easy and a pleasure to do. As another reviewer said, and I concur, "I actually look forward to using this tool". I have two 3.0 amp hour batteries that I use and they do a great job and last a long time on a charge.

In conclusion....yeah....you can buy a more powerful impact (just double the price and weight), but when you consider size....weight....power and price combined....I don't think you can beat this little impact wrench with anything else on the market! Just a note, if you're shopping for an impact wrench, make sure its an impact wrench your looking at and not an impact driver.....totally different tools.

I am a satisified customer of this impact from Hitachi and was happy to do a review of this tool. - Impact Wrenches - Lithium-ion - 18v - Cordless Tools'
