Movado Watch

I bought this for my husband over three years ago - and it still looks brand new! We got it on here for less than half of what they wanted to charge in a jewelry store. It is the best watch! And it should look brand new forever because of the tungsten. Movado Men's 605621 Fiero Tungsten Carbide Watch

I was not going to buy any more watch that requires batttery anymore, but after checking this watch at the Movado store in Vegas, I decided to get the pair. Never regret the decision.

Be careful at the airport, though, as this watch will trigger the alarm at the X-ray machine at the check point , so don't place it in the carry-on bag, instead, place the watch in the smaller container. This happened to me twice at the local airport.

I order a pair of His and Hers Movoda watches for Christmas. Both arrived promptly in pristine condition. I have been wearing mine every day and the Tungston cases have not scratched once yet. I would recommend these watches as well as the supplier. This is the 3rd watch I have purchased from this supplier and we have not had problems with any of them so far.

I bought this watch in early 2006 right after it came out. I love it. It is the quintessential Movado. Timeless, elegant and exquisite doesn't even begin to describe it. The weight of the watch is very solid and luxurious. This is my favorite watch by far. I am so happy with mine that I am buying the ladie's Fiero for a friend. Buy a Fiero. You will not be dissapointed!

I bought the original of this watch some 4 or 5 years ago. It's beautiful. But at least twice a year, there is a disaster with the band: a pin breaks, one of the caps on the side pieces comes off, the clasp loses one of its tiny springs, etc. When I travel, I have to take a spare watch because breakages are so frequent. The repairs are expensive; sometimes they take quite a long time (10-12 weeks, even at the authorized Movado shop in Tysons Corner). So, as much as I love the looks and of course the mechanism, being quartz, is fine; but the utter lack of reliability makes this a terrible watch. Their design team is a winner; their production is a loser. I've complained to Movado several times, but they don't even bother to reply.'

This amp has power! I have two pyle pro PADH152 and they are LOUD! I am going to get two more high power dj speakers to go with this amp. Definitely worth the money! The microphones are awesome and there is a button on the remote labbeled 'LOUD' and it is a bass booster and it is like you have a pair of subwoofers next to them! This amp is n all-in-one deal that is worth the money! I love this amp!

PS: the cooling fan is not loud if you have the speakers within 10 feet of the amp or you turn it up. Pyle PWMA3003T 3000W Hybrid Pre Amplifier with AM/FM Tuner/USB/Dual Wireless Mic

I found this item on Amazon and thought I should give it a try as a friend of mine has a 1000W and it was excellent. So I thought, maybe I should get the 3000W to see how it is, if it's better than what my friend has.

Delivery came very fast... 5 stars from me on that regard. Unpacked and first thing I notice was the front panel screen was very scratchy... looks like an old glass on it... but everything else looks clean and brand new to me so it was kinda of strange to see that. So I hooked it up and turned it on, I am very impressed in the quality of the wireless microphones... but the biggest problem I notice was the cooling fan unit. It was super loud... extremely loud that I found it very annoying. When I play music if it's loud enough, we couldn't hear the fan running but as soon as the music stops... everybody was like what was that?

So I returned the item the very next day... not worth the money even though it's very good price.

Bought this system for use with my audio/video equipment at home and for family events.

PROS;

Easy instructions to follow for hookup to the TV, DVD player, ipod etc - one device for managing everything! Audio quality is excellent - hooked up to my Bose speakers when using my projector for viewing movies at home - definitely enhances the overall 'cinema' experience. Kids love the wireless mic, very good range.

CONS:

Cooling fan is a bit on the noisy side but if the volume is loud enough it is not bad. Remote does not have a power button - sounds lazy but it is a chore to manually turn off.

Overall - good value for money, works well.'

Memory Card Holder - lowepro, strap

This camera strap has a major design problem: there's no security lock for the side release buckles. The side release buckles are designed to allow quick interchangeability with other camera using the same strap. However, the two buckles are too easily releasable and there's no security lock to keep the strap and the camera from seperation. I have used the strap for a week, and one of the buckle got released by itself twice. I had only one camera. Luckily, I didn't drop my camera but I would never use this strap again. Lowepro Transporter Camera Strap

While I am a big fan of LowePro quality, I was rather disappointed when I learned that the "quick release" clasps give way with the smallest amount of pressure. The strap is great but I currently have yarn connecting the two pieces of the quick release buckle so that it doesn't accidentally open and drop thousands of dollars worth of equipment. A different quick release (maybe like Kata's bullclip style) would be much more secure for regular use and still just as interchangeable. I don't recommend purchasing this product unless you have a plan for working around the quick release buckle.

I'm a pro photographer, and the stock pro strap that came with my camera slips off my shoulder so easily, not to mention it's not comfortable at all. This one really holds to my shoulder really well, even with slippery nylon shirts and such. I love Lowepro because they give us pros what we ask for, and this strap is no exception. The nylon clips are great for times when I don't want the strap on or getting into better shooting angles. Memory card storage case on the strap holds 2 cards.

This is a really good strap (though not as good as the Op/Tech Pro Camera Strap 3/8" - Black imho). The big complaint with the LowePro is that the buckles are a bit... touchy. I've used this strap for a few years and haven't dropped a camera yet. However, after reading all the comments I did have to admit that it doesn't take much pressure to unlink the strap.

Presented with this problem I found a solution, using 3" strips of double-sided velcro. They fit exactly through slots on either side of each buckle and provide an extra level of security. If you don't happen to have velcro strips lying around these (Velcro Reusable Self-Gripping Cable Ties, 0.5 Inches x 8 Inches Long, Black, 100 Ties per Pack (91140)) work perfectly. You cut off what you need from the first two and have 98 left over. (Trust me, you *will* find uses for them.)

The result is a light and comfortable strap that is much more secure than when you started and still allows the camera to be detached easily when needed.

BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've gotten from other reviewers and continue to return the favor as best as I can. If you thought this review was helpful please let me know by clicking on "Yes" button where it asks. If there was anything you thought was lacking or unclear leave a comment and I'll do what I can to fix it.

This is a nice comfortable strap and not too bulky. Easily fits in my bag. The memory card wallet is nice, but I don't use it. It can be removed easily. It is well constructed and all the stitching is sturdy.

My only complaint is the strap is too long, and can't be shortened very much because of the position of the shoulder pad. The sliding buckle that shortens the strap does not fit under the pad so you can only adjust about 3-4" shorter. I like to change the length depending on use, but can't with this one. It's a minor annoyance but not enough for me to want to change straps.

I rate all the other Lowepro products that I own - 3 belt pouch/shoulder bags and a belt strap pouch and a photo back pack - 5 stars. So, this strap is a design disappointment. Lengthwise it's fine. I'm 5'7" and like my camera just above the belt line. Design weaknesses are that the buckle locks on the straps attached to the camera don't allow for attaching one buckle to the other when the shoulder strap is removed; handy for extra security in hand-carrying the camera. Also, the shoulder pad is stiff and has little give, making it uncomfortable. And, the release buckles release too easily. The plastic seems flimsy and the notches less secure than on other straps that I have with similar features. Finally, the "non-slip" silicon on the pad slips easily on my travel shirts. While the strap may be better than those that came with my Nikon cameras, I will not trust their safety to this strap and will stick with OP/TECH USA straps that have served well with my film SLR and DSLR cameras. They have the security, comfort, and flexibility that the Lowepro Transporter strap lacks.

The reason I bought this strap is because of the quick release snaps that lets you take most of the strap off the camera. When you remove the strap, what remains is 2 or 3 inches of strap along with the snap/buckle on each side of the camera.

I give this product 5 stars because overall it does a good job. My only nit is that when I use my camera on a tripod with the strap "clicked off", the remaining several inches do get in the way of making camera settings, etc. So now I leave the strap connected even when the camera is on the tripod. This keeps the short ends of the strap out of the way.

I've had no problem or concern about the buckles coming loose at the wrong time. So far....it has worked fine.

I purchased this to replace the standard Nikon strap that came with my D80. The original Nikon strap hurt my neck after any extended use. The Lowpro strap is very comfortable and the length is more than enough and can easily be adjusted.

I got this camera strap with my brand new DSLR. After just an afternoon of shooting with it, the paint on my strap attachment points has been almost completely chipped away by the metal fasteners at the end of this strap! I couldn't believe that Lowepro would make such a nice comfortable strap then put two metal rings with sharp edges as the fasteners. Then I realized that you're supposed to take them off before you put them on the camera, although you wouldn't guess that from the product picture. After I took the rings off and mounted the nylon loops as I think was intended, the strap doesn't jingle and rattle around and doesn't tear the paint off my camera. The strap is a little longer than the stock strap, which makes the camera sit right over my bellybutton (I'm 5'8") if it's hanging straight off my neck. When worn like a bandolier, it's the perfect length, can't get stolen as easily, and you can tuck the camera away when you don't want a camera bouncing off your chest and stomach as you walk around. - Lowepro - Digital Slr - Strap - Memory Card Holder'

Dragon naturally speaking 11 "Premium Edition," software is great and definitely worth the money! :-) Anyone, who does a lot of writing, any kind of writing should most definitely consider this purchase. This version of "Dragon" seems to work significantly better than previous versions of the same software. Each version feels like they have gotten somewhat better, but this one feels like it is "leaps and bounds" ahead of even its most immediate predecessors, versions nine and ten etc. so I would like to give a shout out and kudos to designers of this software program. "Thanks guys!"

Having said all of that, I have a couple of serious suggestions to make to those of you who are considering purchasing Dragon NaturallySpeaking 11.

My immediate suggestions are these:

1 Do spend the extra money and buy the premium edition rather than the standard, and it works much better. This is most especially true in that you can compose, as I am doing now, directly into your favorite word processor without excessive "cutting & pasting."

2 Do not waste your money and on the addition that includes the digital recorder, which is the addition that I am reviewing here because it is the one that I bought. I have had significant problems with the included $100 Philips digital recorder. I had much better results with a much less expensive digital recorder from another manufacturer, which I had purchased much earlier, some years ago in fact! So, save yourself the $100 and buy the software without the extra included hardware.

3. While I can't speak to the addition that includes the wireless microphone in the box, generally speaking users, especially new ones may have problems with wireless technology and Dragon NaturallySpeaking over all. When I sit down and write, for extended periods of time. For example, dictating for three hours straight is not at all unusual for me. When it comes to long "writing," or more precisely, "dictation" sessions, users especially new ones are likely to experience problems with wireless technology and Dragon. This is not, generally speaking, because of Dragon at all. It is because the wireless technology battery life is still very limited. As battery power in wireless microphones begins to go down, Accuracy etc. is very likely to drop off markedly and steadily. In my experience in order to get to anything close to the accuracy potential of Dragon your microphone power must always be at maximum and nothing less than maximum. So if you as a user, you write in long composition or dictation sessions, ones which regularly exceed two hours in time. My suggestion is, save yourselfin the headaches and the money and go with a more tried and true technology of a more traditional "wired" microphone. Also, while there is not necessarily anything wrong with the microphone that is included with the software, you may find that it is worth your money to invest in a higher-quality, meaning more durable microphone. The hardware compatibility lists on the Dragon website are your go to source for reliable information on this subject. 3 a Do not purchase a third-party microphone without first checking these compatibility lists. If you do so, you are very likely to waste your money. A lot of cheap microphones available in the "big box stores," which claimed to be good for voice-recognition are actually a waste of money.

3B on the other hand, if you're writing/dictation sessions are likely to be short, again two hours or 90 min. and less and you can frequently return a wireless microphone to its charging base, and/or you tend to move up and down a lot while writing/Dictating or you tend to be interrupted a lot, then a wireless microphone may be very much worth looking at. For me, an experienced naturallyspeakingl user, I will only buy wireless microphone when the battery life improves significantly.

4 if you are a new user, buying the training DVD that is offered along with this, but it's separate purchase item, is definitely worth the money, because no hard copy manual or documentation is included in the box. If you are a new user you definitely need instruction before you can really get effective benefit from Dragon and DVD is great for this. There is also a "training workbook" which can be downloaded from the Dragon website and used along with or separate from the "training DVD." Dragon NaturallySpeaking Premium 11 with Digital Recorder

THE DRAGON DICTATE VOICE RECOGNITION PROGRAM IS SUPERB.

FIRST, THE DELIVERY was on time, and the product came in a small box. Ground transportation. Inside, you find the software disk, and possibly another disk with promotional programs on it.

THE PRODUCT IS EXCELLENT. YOU RECEIVE the DISK(S), a really nice HEADSET, covers both ears, and it's not a "cheapy" one to hustle a deal. The SOFTWARE IS SUPERB, EASY TO INSTALL (I went slow and was done in 40 minutes), and comes with a really NICE FOLDER listing all of the "COMMANDS" you can use to structure and organize materials, including TAB WORK for performing accounting work.

The folder also shows you, very carefully, by looking at the folder/card and the software, how to do commands like "Go to Sleep," "Wake Up," commands for dates, times, corrections for mistakes, etc.. NUANCE did a great job here of helping a first-time user get into the software and using it correctly. IT IS EASY TO USE.Dragon Naturally Speaking Premium 11

GOOD LUCK! YOU WILL ENJOY YOUR SOFTWARE PROGRAM FROM NUANCE, AND, REMEMBER, TRY TO FIND A CODE OR COUPON FOR A REDUCED PRICE (I'M CHEAP! I ADMIT IT!). Hardware - rotary tool accessories, hardware

I got this bit to cut/route some simple shapes for a bracket from a piece of 18 gauge sheet metal. It says it will cut through hardened steel etc. but it is not good for that at all. It will only be effective with very thin or soft metals. If it has such a difficult time with plain sheet metal I can't see how it could work at all for hardened steel. It will NOT work with a drill press as one reviewer suggests as it has no point and is not made to plunge. It needs to cut from an edge or through a drilled hole. Also it is a 1/8 shank so it did not fit my new trio model though I expect there may be an adapter available my local store did not carry one. It would probably be OK cutting through thin or soft metal. In comparison an EZ 406 cutoff wheel was not great but several times better at cutting the same metal than this bit. I am actually changing the material to some .063 inch 6061 aluminum to see if either of my dremel tools will cut well enough with the softer metal. So just don't expect this to cut through any hard or thick metal, it is for light duty only. Dremel 9901 Tungsten Carbide Cutter

I got this to cut through 12 gauge steel. It only made a dent in the steel before it broke. It also "chattered" which is probably due to the coarse cutting grooves. I switched to a cheap diamond cutter and although it was slow, it did the job.

I don't have a Dremel, but I thought this bit may work with my variable speed drill. It does. It does not cut quickly, but it does cut. The slow cutting allows precise and controlled cutting of a small aluminum part I was making. I frist drilled holes into the aluminum and then use this cutter to finish up the cut. Then I use a small file to remove what little is remaining. If I have a drill press, this part may work with that too. - Hardware - Rotary Tool Accessories'

Swaddling Blankets - swaddling, muslin wraps

I was hesitant to order this based on another review where they said it was made for Target. I love Aden & Anais products so decided to order it and return it if it was the cheaper Target version. All of the A&A sold at Target clearly states on the tag "Aden & Anais for Target". It arrived in the original packaging and didn't mention anything about Target. I'm glad I went ahead and bought it since it ended up being the same high quality product of the other Aden & Anais items I own. aden + anais Terry Hooded Towel and Muslin Washcloth Set, Water Baby

"regular" hooded bath towels are kind of thin and baby gets cold when wet--so after bath is a quick event--UNLESS you have these!! These towels are soft, plush and keep baby warm so you have time to apply lotion, and have some time with your baby before changing--these are oversized too so can wrap and cuddle. just wish they weren't so expensive! but they are worth the splurge.

so soft, luxurious and huge for a baby's towel, i love it! and so does my daughter. it takes longer than other towels to dry but that's not a problem. we'll probably buy more as we start to outgrow our other smaller towels.

I have this towel/wash cloth set in Hide & Sea. This is my first A&A purchase and I'm just not sure why everyone raves about them?! Its just a terry cloth towel with a muslin wash cloth. I mean, its nice...but not worth the price and really not any better than my other hooded towel. I didn't like that the fish were only on the wash cloth and not the towel either. Yes its nice, but IMHO not worth it. First and last A&A for me!

I wanted a nice soft hooded towel and washcloth for my baby and was disappointed with everything I saw until I bought this. The size of the towel is generous and I love wrapping my little one up in this after a bath. Also, I love how the muslin washcloth is so soft unlike other cheap products out there. Although Aden & Anais is on the pricier side, you won't be disappointed!

I received this towel and washcloth set in Bathing Beauty from my baby registry. I was really excited to get it because I've heard such great things about Aden+Anais. However, after ONE wash to clean the product for baby's first use, I noticed the seam had ripped along the hood of the towel and was coming undone!! There was nothing else in the washing machine except other washcloths, so it's not like it could've gotten caught on something. I am extremely disappointed with this towel. I don't know if I got a defective set or if all of the towels are of poor quality, but I plan to contact the company about the issue.

EDIT: I contacted amazon.com and was offered a refund for the product.

The cotton towel is larger than I expected, which is great, the baby can grow into it. The towel is thin - will dry quickly - but more coarse than I expected. The washcloth is muslin faced. I'm a bit concerned whether it will withhold regular washings. However fabric is soft. The design is beautiful...

The towel is much larger than some of the towel sets I got as gifts or hand me downs. I purchased this just before I had my son because I hadn't received one. Little did I know I had some on the way. :) I have one other favorite towel, but I used it when my son was first born. He was 7lbs 1 oz so not very big, but now that he is 12lbs he has almost outgrown it, that is why this one is so great.

I'm also a huge fan of the cloths, but haven't used them a whole lot since they are a bit big as well. When he is a little older, I will love these. They are so soft and absorb the water really well.

I was reluctant to purchase this towel and washcloth set because of the price, but after having negative experiences with other, cheaper organic towels, I was willing to give this brand a chance (especially since I got in on sale). I am so glad I did. The towel is thick and soft. It held its shape after washing. The washcloth is also of good quality and is even softer than the towel. I also love how large it is; so many washcloths for babies are thin, wimpy, and tiny. So far, I have been really satisfied with this set. I highly recommend it!

We use this towel for our newborn each bath. It seemed so huge at first but as he gets bigger we are pleased with it's generous size. The wash cloth is so nice to use, but a little too big for a newborn as it's not easy to clean the creases with it. It will be perfect for a toddler. - Baby - Baby Blanket - Swaddling - Muslin Wraps'

Usb Audio Interface - dj control, audio interfaces

I got this port set to put together a system that I could use with my laptop. I have a digital mixer to mix music from my laptop, but I also wanted an analogue system I could use to mix audio CDs. I plugged this into one USB port on my laptop and plugged my digital mixer to another port. This gave me the ability go connect my laptop system to a standard mixer which was connected to the dual CD mixer. I can use the PCDJ software I have on my laptop to control all the devices and the sound is great. Without this product, it would have been very challenging to get the digital/analogue worlds together as one output. This product got the job done simply. Router Table - router, router table

First, don't be fooled by the description "fence with independent sliding faces for use as a vertical jointer". This table DOES NOT have a split fence. The jointer adjustment is made by loosening the bolts that hold the face plate to the one-piece fence and inserting spacers behind the outfeed. Adjustments of 1/16" and 1/32" can be made this way; that should be sufficient.

The table seems very sturdy and strongly constructed.

I am a huge fan of the leveling system, a total of 12 bolts give countering up and down pressure on the insert plate keeping a nice level and true surface.

The 3/8" plate is more than strong enough to hold my Craftsman 2-HP router...I can press down firmly with my hand and feel no deflection in the center.

The drawback to the plate is that the hole is a bit small. I'd rather have a larger hole and inserts (even pop-in inserts) because I do a lot of panel routing.

This is a very nice router table, but since there are tables out there with better fence systems and insert plates that work better, I think this table is a bit pricey for the features. Kreg PRS2000 Precision Benchtop Router Table

The Kreg PRS2000 Router table does not offer a tremendous value for the money. The fence is difficult to move and takes time to set it accurately. There are much cheaper ones on the market that offer similar value. However, this bench top model is sturdy and easy to move when needed. Attaching the router was fairly simple with the included template. There are many tips online about making your own router table, which is what I would have done in retrospect.

PROS: Solid base and tabletop.

Fence is ridged as it should be.

Inserts for jointer work well.

Dust port is good.

CONS: phenolic insert plate is NOT flat.

It's difficult to get it to a usable surface.

Which leads to issue #2

The corner plastic pieces used to hold insert and Level plate

have threaded inserts in plastic. Half of them pullout of plastic when tightening down the plate. I used gorilla glue to hold them in place and so far it's working. Overall it's a good router table for 229. If I have enough projects down the road, it may justify the 500 dollar model from Kreg.

Not much to say, the table is well built and easy to assemble. The process of drilling and attaching your router is easy. I used my drill press and Kreg's template. Kreg will also do the drilling for you if you send them your router base. I looked at several router tables in this price range and size. Kreg's is the best IMHO. - Router - Router Table'

Cordless Screwdriver

This drill is a great value for someone who uses it twice a month or less.

I found this locally for about $20. It has great features for the price: cordless, 2-speed (325/650rpm), reversing (to drive screws) and a keyless chuck. The quality is quite good, considering the price. It's well balanced, and seems to have a good amount of power. It's stated capacity is a 1/2" in wood, and 3/8" in steel. The battery pack is built inside. It uses 4/5 sub-C ni-cd cells. The shelf life of rechargeables is about

3 months, so you will need to charge it occassionally. Black & Decker 9099KC 7.2-Volt Cordless Drill with Keyless Chuck

Good buy. Does not come with bits and drill heads. Luckily I had a set from my old drill.

I did find this one cheaper in Walmart later, but oh well.

I built all the furniture in my new apartment with this guy. Thank goodness I had it.

Powerful enough for the job w/o being too heavy to lug around. Charges just fine.

I received this BLACK & DECKER 7.2-VOLT CORDLESS DRILL for Christmas. I've been looking for a cordless drill for about nine months and had been looking at drills that were a bit larger and more powerful. However, even though this drill isn't quite what I was looking for, it's an exceptional drill. It has two speeds (325 & 650 rpm), can go in reverse, and the chuck is keyless. It's a very easy drill to use and is fairly light weight. The battery pack is built inside the drill and in order to charge it, you have to plug the charger into a socket on the drill. I've used this drill several times since receiving it and have not had any problems. In fact, the only criticism I have is that the drill doesn't include any drill bits or heads; you have to purchase a set of drill bits and heads separately. Overall, this is a great drill for someone who is a novice to beginning home repair type person. It'll also do a job for more experience handymen who are in the pinch.

Having worked in the construction trades for many years, I have a variety of professional quality corded and cordless drills, but my six year old wanted a "real" drill of his own. I found one of these on sale for under 20 bucks a couple of years ago and figured that for the price, I wouldn't be too bothered if he ruined it. It was perfect for him to use for drilling holes in scrap lumber as he learned to use tools, clamp down his work, wear appropriate safety gear, and become comfortable in the workshop.

I was impressed enough that I bought two more for my students to use for technology and engineering projects in the middle school science classroom (popsicle stick bridges, mousetrap cars), and then I bought one more to keep handy at the bench where I do electronics and hobby projects.

Frankly, it is a far better drill than I had expected for the price. In repetitive use, it comfortably drilled 20 consecutive 1/4 holes in a slab of 4/4 oak. The slower speed on the two speed trigger works nicely for driving screws or drilling up to 1/8" holes through aluminum bar stock and brass. It will effectively work for slow speed grinding and sanding with "dremel" type attachments in a pinch, although obviously the Dremel tool is much better for this.

The drills in my classroom get continuous use for a few days and then get packed away until the next project. The ones at home will get intensive use over a weekend and then will go for several weeks without being used at all. Surprisingly, I generally find that the batteries retain plenty of power for a casual hole or three even when put up without getting a full charge first.

Tip: To keep the drill handy at my workbench, I cut the top and bottom ends out of a tomato paste can and screwed it to the apron on one end of the bench. The chuck drops perfectly into the can and leaves the drill ready to hand when needed and well out of the way otherwise.

Remember that if you allow your kids to use power tools, be sure they ALWAYS wear safety glasses and hearing protection.

This drill does as advertised. It is very light weight, yet packs enough power for most household work. I am amazed at how long it works on a single charge. I like the fact that the batteries are built-in and don't have to be removed/replaced for charging. For the price, I highly recommend it for typical household drilling.

Nice drill for light to medium duty. Great for occasional household or apartment use. Good torque -- two speeds forward and reverse. Don't expect to be able to add an addition on your house with it (even though it does drive 4" screws). It's handy for hanging curtain rods, blinds, pictures and even hanging doors. There are no accessories or case included. It comes with a charger and built-in battery (non-replaceable). Even if the battery and drill last for only a couple years, it's still well worth the money.

Never a concern with B&D, this is a great drill with ONE fualt, it will fall over when in an upright position. (NO BALANCE) For the price, go for it, just watch were you set it, it will fall over...I am also going to write B&D about this problem..

I ordered this tool for lightweight jobs around the house. 7V is plenty of power for drilling holes and setting smaller screws. It's very lightweight with two speeds. The one complaint I have and it's no big thing in that it won't stand up straight on it's battery. I just have to get used to laying it down. I would recommend this tool to anyone requiring a lightweight cheap drill ($20). Packaging was excellent and delivery was very quick. I am a frequent Amazon customer.

Victorian Jewelry

A lover of all things vintage, I have been buying 1928 jewelry and getting it as gifts for years. My latest purchase is this blue necklace, which I love. It is substantial yet unfussy, with beads and faux stones in three shades of blue: pale sapphire, sky, and periwinkle. Its biggest stone, of dull, pale sapphire, is delightfully transluscent. The shiny metal scrollwork adds to the necklace's beauty and charm. 1928 Jewelry Ornate Jet and Sapphire Hues Princess Necklace'

Best Finish Nailer

I posted this review over in the Hitachi MA2 version, a long standing favorite amongst the pros. I wanted to post it here as well considering it really is about the MA4. Here it is.

I've done/doing some professional woodworking and have a lifetime of experience. In air driven nailers I have Porter Cables upholstery stapler, their 23 gauge pin nailer, an 18 gauge, two of their 16 gauge nailers. I impulsively bought the Bostitch after reading the first page reviews, and then spent a couple of hours researching the Hitachi vs. the Bostitch. After comparing, this is what I found.

A lot of people are jumping on the Bostitch band wagon because it is the lightest at 3.8 pounds, it is dry as in no oil, and it has class leading 400 inch pounds of power. I was dazzled and bought right away. After digging deeper, I am refusing the Bostitch and getting the Hitachi. They both have the "durable composite magazine" (plastic) that holds the nails. The Hitachi with its aluminum housing only weighs .4 pounds more as in 4.2 instead of 3.8. That extra .4 is not going to make a difference. The oil issue is seemingly an advantage in that the Bostitch runs dry, but my other nailers are all oiled, and all I do is drive 2 or 3 nails into a piece of scrap to blow out the excess oil when first putting a couple of drops in the gun, and the rest of the time it is dry. Also the 400 pounds of torque is not an issue because the 15 gauge nailers have tons of power as compared to the 16 gauge, so much so that a small difference in power is irrelevant. When I borrowed a PC 15 gauge and first fired it, it went off with a POW instead of a pop like the 16. Substantially more power resulted in me being able to drive the nails into the tongue side of a 7/8" board deep enough that I didn't have to get out my center punch and tap it in the rest of the way; it drove deep and flush on the first try every time after setting it properly.

I am concerned about the many reviews that appear mostly all on the secondary pages on the Bostitch about having driver failure problems. Professionals who hit nails when driving a nail complain of having to go back and spend $35 to have the driver replaced every time they do. On the other hand the Hitachi has a ton of reviews many from deeply seasoned pro's that use it daily, for years, and never had a hiccup, other than an occasional, easily correctable nail jam. I'm using this right away on driving nails into crown moldings in a circa 1955 house with plaster walls, and the corners are all strengthened with lath wire so it is probable that I will be hitting metal more than just a few times. I don't want to worry about having to send it back to the shop to replace a driver every time I do.

This Hitachi NT65MA2 15 gauge has been updated twice. The 3 was out before in a lime green, and now the new item is the same model with a 4, as in NT65MA4. It has the same layout, but a slightly different look with the same industrial feel to it, and it is not lime green or gray, but silver. It appears that the main body is also a little bit larger.

The Bostitch is a fine tool but you will notice that the home hobbyist is praising it more and the pro's are booing it more. All you have to do is look down the review results and you will see the Bostitch has a wide spread review base with a liberal amount of 3's, 2's, and 1's as well as the 4's and 5's. The Hitachi is mostly 5's, and some 4's with no 3's, 2's, or 1's at all. That's quite a drastic difference. With reviews going all the way back to 2004 that is quite a lot of time for someone to hate the tool, and nobody does.

I wanted to say that the MA4 is only available at the time of writing this review through an Amazon merchant and not an Amazon in stock item, but I am sure Amazon will be picking it up directly soon. That was another decision I had to make. Do I buy the older tried and true, super reviewed MA2 model, or go for the newest version from Hitachi and get the MA4. After speaking to the rep he mentioned that it was the same industrial grade piece of equipment as the MA2 so I went for it. The body of the MA4 is even a little beefier.

Now onto the Hitachi and some of the things I love about it. First off it has an air blowing feature. You may think that is trivial, but it is a great feature that everyone is raving about. When I bought my Bosch jig saw it had an air blowing line that would remove the dust from where the blade meets the wood so you can see the line. After using lesser jig saws and not being able to see the line due to instant dust buildup, that was quite an improvement, so I am partial to air blowing capabilities. Even though with a nailer you don't wind up with the same problem, this thing has an air blower that is so strong that you can clean off a large workbench in only a few seconds; it comes in handy. It also has an interesting air input connection that is configured so you can keep the air line out of the way, and suspended in air so it is not so likely to bump into things. The Hitachi also has the continuous firing option whereas the Bostitch has the single firing option only. With continuous firing you can squeeze the trigger, and as fast as you plunge the head into the workpiece it fires repeatedly. You may have seen this feature on guns that are used to place tar paper on the side of buildings. Once up on the ladder they spread out a sheet, and pow, pow, pow. None of this stuff of positioning the gun, depress the nose, and then fire. That is great when you are doing precision work, but when you have larger areas that require multiple shots the multiple fire feature is great.

Nail availability. The Bostitch is the odd man out when it comes to nails in the industry; they only accept Bostitch nails. So Bostitch is proprietary forcing you to buy their nails. The Hitachi accepts the popular standard size from other manufacturers so when you are in the middle of a job you can access them locally, and not have to worry about overstocking everything all of the time. I normally would still prefer to use Hitachi nails in the Hitachi gun just in case but when viewing the ads for B&C Eagle nails they state, "Fits Senco, Hitachi, PC, Rigid, Milwaukee, Makita, Craftsman, Dewalt, and most other 15 gauge angled finish nailers." So you can see that you will never be stuck finding a compatible nail for the Hitachi 15 gauge nailer.

Overall the Bostitch is not a bad gun, but it appears that jams are more frequent after some use, and of course when they occur they bend over and mar the wood. Maybe this feature of having more power may be the reason why the driver gets broken. Combining that with a no oil environment may be the culprit.

I've also seen some pretty high priced Hitachi equipment, and with the discount I was able to purchase it for a price super close to the Bostitch. Bostitch is a good name, but in this case, I like the Hitachi better. Hitachi includes a nice case, and even a pair of safety glasses; nice touch. I just wish they included a small bottle of the oil. Maybe they didn't want to deal with the oil spill creating a mess problems. Oh well, no biggie. The bottom line to me is ease of use with multiple nail driving options and reliability. Laptop Battery Chargers - hp, compaq ac adapter

I've had a Compaq Armada e500 laptop for a long time now and this is my fourth power cable. Mind you, this has nothing to do with the quality of the part, I own cats and cats like to chew cords.

One complaint I've had with previous replacements is the length of the cable. The original cord seemed to be infinitely long such that I could go almost anywhere in a room and still be plugged in. Other replacement cables seemed to always be a few inches short. Not so with this one. While it isn't quite as long as the original, it is long enough to get the job done.

The reason I give this cable 4 out of 5 stars is simply that the brick itself does get fairly warm when in use. Other cables have gotten downright hot so this one is an improvement, but none of the aftermarket units dissipate heat like the original cable.

If you own a compatible laptop and need a replacement a/c adapter, go ahead and pick this one up. HP 65W Smart AC Adapter PPP09L

I have a Compaq EVO N610C and I was looking for a replacement AC Adapter to work in Caracas, Venezuela. This adapter works fine and charge battery, but I took out three stars because it is rated 18V & 2.5 Amp = 45W and seller did not show this technical information in big letters. It is not the exact replacement for original 65W charger, rated 18V & 3.6 Amp from Compaq.

This charger is extremely cheap. Although the sticker on the charger indicates it is the replacement part number for HP's charger, I'm not so sure I believe that. It is made of cheap parts, cheap plastic, cheap plugs and has a cheap transformer inside. I paid less than two bucks for this charger, and within a week, the plug broke inside the laptop. The box itself got so hot it melted. You get what you pay for. And since it was under two dollars, it's not worth paying return shipping on it to send it back. I already paid eight dollars to get it here.

this product worked perfect!! used for a compaq c700 laptop. the only negative is the cord isnt as long as the original but for the price, it is well worth it!! It worked so well that I bought an extra one because the price was low so i have one for livingroom and bedroom.

The 1st cord that was sent was broken. They sent me another one immediately w/out me having to return the broken one. The 2nd one they sent wouldn't power the laptop and after looking it was not on the list for replacement cords for the laptop. This cord has been sent back to them today at my cost. I am awaiting a credit.

It's HP's fault, not the manufacturer of this product, but it doesn't matter. It won't work for your 17-inch dv7 laptop.

HP originally sold the dv7 with an underpowered 65-watt adapter. The HP replacement adapter is 90-watts. No 65-watt replacement adapter will work. Order a 90-watt adapter for a different model, or give the ******** at HP $70 for their replacement (which is 90-watts). HP should have recalled them. I have gone through 1 12-volt car adapter, and 3 65-watt replacement adapters for mine, but none work. For all, the computer says, "plugged in, but not charging" and the battery quickly dies. Save yourself a lot of headache and expense, and just buy a 90-watt adapter for your 17-inch laptop.

Note how the original equipment has a 65-watt ac adapter, but the HP replacement part is 90-watts.

Here is what you really need:

HP 90W Smart Pin Dongle AC Adapter (KG298AA)

This was a replacement to my original compaq power cord that lasted three years and two tours in Iraq, plus numerous other trips around the US. The price was better than fair, it shipped relatively quickly from the States to where I'm stationed, and it was very well packaged. It does what i need it to, and fits nice and snug to my laptop's power receptacle. I did also purchase a laptop surge protector, as power here is thoroughly unpredictable. The velcro cord-keeper is also a nice touch. - Compaq Ac Adapter - Laptop Power Adapter - Charger - Hp'
