Cuisinart Coffee Maker - cuisinart coffee maker, coffee maker

After buying a succession of cheap coffee makers which broke down after a year or two and made mediocre coffee, I decided to upgrade to Cuisinart.

I don't agree with the negative comments about this product.

The clock is easy to program and it's clearly indicated that you should either use paper or gold filter (twice in the instructions). It's also easy to pour water in the reservoir if you use the carafe. You can turn the coffee maker to the left, and the reservoir opening is easily accessible. Its opening is by no means tiny, as a reviewer described it.

The center funnel which holds the filter is well situated and there is very little risk of dropping coffee grounds into the water reservoir.

The carafe is well designed, with a comfortable handle. It pours neatly, without dripping coffee all over the counter, something which always happened with my old Mr. Coffee.

You do have to realize the lid snaps down on top of the carafe. This is not explained in the instructions.

Most importantly, it makes an excellent coffee.

There is a 3 year guaranty which is more than I have seen for others.

So far, I have no complaint, and I am glad I bought this product for a great price. Cuisinart DCC-1100PK 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker, Pink

My name is Ryan, and I'm a coffee addict... My habit ranges from 1 to 3 pots a day just to remain conscious. So you can understand the level of misery I have had to endure this past week as my 4 year old Gevalia machine met an untimely death during a recent lightning storm. I then began the hunt for a new machine. Basically, Amazon was my first stop since they have everything. I read all sorts of reviews, and finally settled on this one. I must say, this is by far the best machine I've ever owned.

In reading the reviews, I found a few gripes that I don't agree with, so here's my response to those:

1. The number one gripe I see is filling difficulty. The fill hole is much larger than my old machine. Some people said its too small and makes a huge mess. My first time, it did drip a little bit but if you leave the lid off the pot while pouring, works like a charm. Let me put it this way... I wake up in the morning with the jitters, like a fiend looking for some crack... If I can pour it without making a mess ANYONE can. And that's a fact.

2. Numero Dos: Programming difficulty. I'm no rocket scientist by any means, but I had this thing programmed within about 5 minutes. I had no problem understanding the directions. I believe most gripes in this area are operator error.

3. Basket issues: It doesn't stand up on it's own, true, but I don't understand how anyone could miss the basket. Leave it in the machine for pete sake! I hope they don't miss their mouth with that hot coffee! Again, If I can do it without making a mess, anyone can. As for choosing paper or mesh filter, paper of course filters better, but mesh makes it stronger and leaves a bit of sediment in the pot... each way has it's benefits depending on how you like yours.

4. Flip-top so large you have to pull it out from under the counter: True, but how lazy can you be... honestly? It's not that hard of a chore. You'd be hard pressed to find a machine that isn't like this.

I, like others, had some pre-conceived notions from negative reviews, but I found most if not ALL of those to be some pretty weak arguments. I guess some people have more problems than others when trying to understand directions and such. This machine is top notch for the price, hands down!

OH! And please look through all the comments, It's going on 3 years and I have given multiple updates as time has passed. I'm sure you will enjoy!

Hello fellow coffee drinkers. Like most of you I have looked long and hard for a good basic coffee maker. In the last 5 years I have gone through 4 new products and have been quite dissapointed in this whole experience. I mean how hard can it be to make a good coffee maker. I had the basic braun coffee maker for 10 years and loved it. However, two new braun coffee makers later I realized that quality had gone down the drain with the coffee grinds. Then I purchased a krups. I returned it to the store within two weeks as it stopped working. They gave me a replacement which lasted just past the warranty. (figures) Then I tried a GE combo grinder brewer. That was the worst mistake I could have ever made. The first sign that it was garbage should have been when the GE emblem fell off. It leaked. It spilled. I spent more time cleaning than brewing, and thankfully it didn't last as long as its warranty and I had no intentions of getting another one free or not.

I have had this cuisinart now for three weeks. It does everything it says it will do. It never leaks, spills or makes a mess. As per the other reviews I feel it could have a bigger fill area but it really is no more difficult to fill than any other brewer I have owned. (don't let that stand in the way of buying this) I also think it is very easy to program and will even keep your settings in memory if it is unpluged for a short period of time.

This coffee maker works perfect and I hope it lasts as long as the warranty and beyond.

Happy brewing.

This coffee maker makes great coffee, is fairly easy to use, and is true red. However...when ordering they do not tell you that it uses a small charcoal type filter that needs to be replaced every month or two (depending on use) and that these filters are far from cheap!

To make drip coffee, a machine has to do just two things well -- heat the water adequately, and disperse the hot water over the grounds. Oddly, most coffee makers fail at one or the other. This Cuisinart does both pretty well, which is why it is probably the best machine on the market right now under $200 (and the reviews at Amazon testify to that).

TEMPERATURE: The overwhelming majority of brands do not heat the water adequately -- if the water at the grounds is only getting to 175-180 degrees, you will have sour, weak coffee. Ideal temperature is around 202-205. Using a digital thermometer, I measured the DCC-1100 at 197 in the filter basket, which is quite good.

DISPERSION: The second task is showering the hot water over the grounds somewhat evenly. Many coffee makers just stream it in from a mini-faucet, so they overbrew the grounds in the center of the filter and neglect the grounds around the edges. Result is weak, slightly bitter coffee. The very expensive Capresso machine has this problem -- it heats water to nearly 200 degrees but delivers that water poorly. The Capresso, which costs close to $200, makes mediocre coffee (at least it did for us). The Cuisinart isn't perfect in this regard but it does have a "shower head" design that disperses the water pretty well.

One other tip, which applies to all drip machines: Don't start with cold water. Room temperature is good. You can do this by running the tap partly warm, or by pouring the water the night before and letting it get to room temp. It gives the heating element a much better chance of getting the water to a good brewing temp. - Cuisinart Coffee Maker - Coffeemaker - Pink - Coffee Maker'

Vacuum Bags - the boss, hepa filter

My new Eureka vac came with an amazing dust bag factory installed. The air that came out of the thing was sweeter than a spring breeze. When it was filled I tried to buy more of the same bag. Eureka said "we don't sell them direct, you can get them from [let's call them Big W]". I ordered some from Big W, and they sent me pack of fairly good paper bags; definitely NOT the right item. I ordered by part number here from Amazon, had a two-month wait, and "Eureka!" indeed, these are the same as the super-special ones they install in the factory to be sure to get high ratings from consumer reports and the like.

This is a 3-pack of heavy-duty, synthetic-fiber, Arm-and-Hammer filled (and logo'd), Eureka-branded, type RR bags.

Do yourself a favor, and ignore the 1-star review from the person who *didn't even get the product* and just had a snit over the listing not saying how many bags were in the pack - it's a bag of 3, buy these, they are the best.

PS It looks like they are in stock now (20 Feb 09) so you shouldn't have the 2-month wait for Amazon to find some! Eureka RR Style Synthetic Bag

TLDR I received the genuine Eureka Type RR vacuum bags and the Arm and Hammer in the bags leaves the house smelling fresh! To be sure, I bought when the seller is "sold by Amazon.com" and GoVacuum fulfilled by Amazon.com. I noticed the seller changed a week after. Maybe the seller changed after Amazon sold out?

Buying genuine replacement bags and filters are important especially if you own a HEPA vacuum. I put other links to the genuine Eureka stuff I bought on Amazon. I own a Eureka The Boss SmartVac and it's been performing flawlessly for years. I has a true HEPA filter (High Efficiency Particulate Air) that captures more dust, mold, and other fine particles not caught by the vacuum bag.

If you have a Eureka 4870 The Boss SmartVac like me (it was a Consumer Reports #1 rank when I bought it years ago), here are the Amazon links to the other genuine replacement parts that I also bought:

Eureka HF-2 HEPA Filter

Eureka Hepa Filter Style HF-2 with Arm and Hammer Inside

Eureka R Style Belt (I've never replaced mine but bought it just in case)

Eureka R Style Belts

Eureka 4870 Attachment Hose

Eureka The Boss Ultra Smart Vac Model 4870 Attachment Hose, Eureka Part 61247-1

P.S. I can't figure out why people buy fancy ball rolling vacuums that supposedly suck better (lol)... form over function? A vacuum that sucks harder is good, but more important is keeping the dust inside with a vacuum that has a true HEPA filter. Love my Eureka :-)

I ordered these bags after reading a review here on Amazon. We just bought a new Eureka Smart Vac and it came with a synthetic bag. These are the same type of bags that Hoover sells for their windtunnel for 10.00 for 2 bags. These bags really make a difference in your vacuum. Thanks AMAZON!! - Hepa Filter - The Boss'

Flat Panel Mount - lcd wall mount, wall mount

I recently purchased 2 Samsung LCD TVs, 40" for the master bedroom and 52" for the family room. Initially I was planning to purchase one articulating mount for the master bedroom and one simple titling mount for the family room. However, based on the quality of this unit, I purchased 2 articulating mounts. In addition to providing flexibility in viewing angles/positions, articulating mounts are great for the initial set-up and subsequent rewiring or replacement of components (you do not have to take off the TV; you simply pull it out and the back of the TV is easily accessible).

This unit is heavy (definitely 2-person job to mount the wall plate), solid, and made with high quality materials. Installation was pretty straight-forward. Instructions were somewhat terse (small/tiny diagrams) and not clear (e.g., which screws/bolts/spacers to use when attaching the back beams to the TV), but they were not that difficult to figure out.

Here are some recommendations:

1) Make sure that the back beams are attached to the TV at equal height. Even if you use the same holes, there is about 0.125" play when tightening the bolts. Otherwise, the TV could be not level even if the wall plate is level.

2) If you have a low margin of error for the height of the mount (I had to mount them in a built in cabinets with 1" gap on all 4 sides), attach the back beams to the TV first and measure the distace between the top of the TV and the point where the beam will "hook" on to the plate. Then figure out where to drill the holes based on the distance between the point where the beam will "hook" on to the plate and the center of openings for the screws/bolts.

3) Always measure twice and use a high quality level to make sure that the mount is level. VideoSecu Articulating TV Wall Mount for Most 37"-55" TV, Dual Arm Extends up to 26 Inch From Wall Free HDMI cable 1VH

This is an awesome product! It's very strong and feels very stable even when the TV is fully extended from the wall! It was simple to install and mount the TV. I checked with my local electronics store and they wanted $400-$500 for an articulating mount that wasn't nearly as strong and stable in the store display. I highly recommend this mount to everyone even if you don't intend to use the articulation. The articulation makes it so much easier to make connections on the back of the TV! I can't find words to say how great this product is! The value and strength are the best I've found anywhere!

I purchased this product a few days ago on Wednesday and received it on Saturday. I had the cheapest shipping so I was quite impressed to get it so quickly.

The item out of the box felt very sturdy and looked great. The directions were very easy to understand. There were a lot of diagrams and there were pictures for every nut and bolt size. There was a vast array of screw sizes as well as different lengths.

I have a 42 inch LG plasma and the brackets were easy to install. What's nice is the bracket came with screw extenders because the mount could not screw flush to the back of the tv, the tv had some screws that poked out the back.

Installation of the mount to the wall was easily as well. You will need a drill to make the initial holes as well as a ratchet to tighten the wall bolts. The mount has a leveler on it but we used our own leveler to level the system.

The brackets on the tv easily sit on the mount and voila you are done.

There is enough space to plug wires in the back of the tv infront of the mount. I would recommend using the spacers for the additional room. It is amazing how far the tv swings out and to the side. I will have to post pictures of my tv.

All in all this is a great system for the value ($75), hands down. I would definitely purchase another in the future.

Cheers!

I have had a 52" Philips LCD for over a year now and have been searching for a swivel mount that can come off the wall so I can wire or re-wire my componets to the tv. Every mount I came accross at my local stores (Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target) were all in the hundreds, some close to $400.00. Rediculous! I decided to check online and see what I could find. So I googled large LCD swivel mounts and I found a lot on Amazon that sell thru another party. I found three mounts that stuck out for me, this one, another made by cheetah, and another one made by Videosecu. I ultimatley eneded up choosing this one beacuse it has duel arms that hold the LCD up instead of just one (Cheetah mount) I wanted to make sure that the arms would hold up my 89lb LCD.

I ordered the mount on Decemebr 16th and recieved it on December 23rd. On Amazon.com the description said it weighs between 40 lbs. and 50 lbs. for the shipping weight. The package I recieved weighed 21.5 lbs, So I assumed they sent me the wrong mount so I opened it up any ways to take a look and I looked online to see if the model numbers were the same and they were except online the model number was MW360BH and the one I received was MW360B does the missing H really matter I thought? Inside the box does not give you a max load weight but all other measurements were correct and matched. I deceided to put the mount up any ways. I read on other reviews for this product that the hardware given in the box to hang the mount were less than efficent so I looked at them and yes, they are pretty low grade lag screws, so I went to Home Depot and bought four 5/16x3 lag screws and four 3/8 washers. I also before hand bought a stud finder that finds the middle of the studs. Make sure that your studs are no more that 16.5 inches apart or else the mount will NOT work. Make sure you hit the middle of the studs with the lag screws or else you will be crying your self to sleep over a busted LCD or plazma that fell off the wall. The mount it self is very sturdy and is made of good solid materials. I measured to the center of my wall and then marked where the studs are. I drilled small pilot holes and screwed one top corener in and while I held it up I checked where it was with a level marked the the side to be drilled. That was the hadrest part do. This job might require a another person. The mount is not easy to hold up, level, and screw down by your self. After I got the mount bolted down I checked the stability of it by putting some weight on it. I weigh 220lbs and hung most of my weight on it and it did not budge at all. Put the tv on and slid it on evenly. Perfect. Buy this mount! - Flat Panel Mount - Tv Wall Mount - Lcd Wall Mount - Wall Mount'

packaging tape - packaging tape

just a quickie review. I had doubts if this tape would work as well as the Scotch premium, but based on other Duck product reviews, I decided to give it a try, esp. with the great price value. I do a lot of EBAY shipping, and always use new cartons. This tape is easier to handle(being thicker) and actually sticks better. Very impressed! Duck Brand HP260 High Performance Grade Packaging Tape, 1.88" x 60 Yards, 3.1 Mil, Crystal Clear, 6-Pack + 2 Bonus Rolls (1067839)

We use a large quantity of Duck Brand High Performance packaging tape. Being a food distributor we have boxes that are refrigerated and frozen. This tape seals well in the cooler and freezer. Most other tapes do not fair well in below zero temperatures.

This is the best for the price I found so far. It is half the price of Scotch premium. It does the job pretty well. I don't say this is the strongest tape in the market but no need to apply two times even on postal boxes. I haven't noticed any smell like in the other review, maybe I got deferent batch.

I ship packages often, and needed a cost effective, easy to use, QUALITY product. This tape is PERFECT! It is the perfect thickness to handle without creasing on the packages, and once it sticks it is STUCK FOR GOOD. I always worried about other poor quality brands I had used in the past, because if I made a mistake I could sometimes just peel up my mistake and start over. If I could remove it, I wondered if others could remove it or if it stayed stuck tight for a UPS trip, which, rumor has it, CAN BE ROUGH ;)

I won't purchase anything else. Folks who are getting my packages say they arrive in GREAT shape, much better than in the past. If you have a need to ship and want your clients to be happy their packages stayed intact, this is your product!

NOTE, I also find because this tape is such good quality a little goes a LONG WAY, a little dab will do you. Instead of wrapping around the whole package to "make sure it stays shut" I now just do the seam on the bottom of the box and the seam on the top. It holds, NO PROBLEM, so I am using much less tape. GREAT PRODUCT, I will be using this Duck brand HP260 High performance grade packing tape from now on.

It's thick, Sticky, and sticks well even on on cold cardboard box's. I've used thinner tape that stuck just fine, but had issues with them not working well with tape dispensers. This tape does. It has a smell to it when you use it, sharp, reminds me of 100% silicone, or a very slight smell of vinegar. I don't find the smell objectionable.

Quick Review:

Pros: Great quality for the price. Thick and strong. Adhesive used really does stick to whatever your taping.

Cons: Adhesive has a strong smell so if you use it constantly, make sure you wear a face mask or you will get high off this stuff - smells like very weak paint thinner but too much of it will get you high. This is difficult to tear off by hand so either use a utility knife or scissors or those tape dispensers to cut off the ends.

Overall I would highly recommend this product. I looked around for the best bang for the buck and this was it. Cheap considering the quality and overall length you get out of it and the tape does not require "retaping" (when you place a tape down but add two or three more layers over it for reinforcement.) I found the thickness of one lawyer was strong enough.

I used to think that tape is tape until we had a company paid move and bought this tape. It is so much thicker and easier to handle. Instead of taping boxes 3 times, I was satisfied with once or twice. So you pay more, but you aren't using as much each time you tape. I love this tape and will continue to buy it if the price is right!

I bought a few rolls of other tape. That tape was thin, did not come off roll in one piece, fragments, so frustrating I threw out after this great tape came. It is easy to use, thick so it doesn't come off in pieces and sticks. Don't waste your time with another tape when this does the job. I also used it to frame-in my A/C unit in the window. This tape is pretty strong.

This is one of the better packing tapes I have used. It is one of the thicker tapes I have used, eliminating the need to add multiple layers. It is adequately sticky as well. With some tapes, I have to make an effort to go back over them, pressing it down, or it can release before the box has even shipped. This has not been the case with the HP260.

Given the price/performance characteristics, I anticipate purchasing more when this supply runs out. - Packaging Tape'

Ipod Touch - ipod touch, greed

Bought several case/covers for the iPod 4th gen's for my daughters with varying degrees of quality/fit/finish. This particular case has a great 'grippy' feel, but doesn't fit snugly. The only redeeming factor in this purchase was the screen protector, which we used with one of the other case/covers. 4G Touch Green Silicone Protective Armour Case Cover & Screen Protector Kit for New Apple iPod Touch 4th Generation - 8GB 32GB 64GB

If you want something rubberized and thin - this is a good choice for the price. The sides are a bit flimsy, so they need readjusting to get them back over the screen some times, but if you are looking for a smaller yet rubberized cover, this is a good choice. The screen protector that came with it fit PERFECTLY and went on PERFECTLY and has stayed on PERFECTLY for the entire 2 months we've had it - despite use by an 8 and 10 year old (they each have one). Make sure you do a moist cleansing on the screen to get rid of the statis before you put the screen protector on though, or you'll attract dust and make it unusable.

It's an OK cover. Just a little flimsy, could be better. The only problem is that it slips off way too easy, especially in one's pocket. You would probably be better off spending a little extra for a more sturdy cover. This one is just too flimsy.

cheap price = cheap product. it fits well but comes off if i put my ipod into my pocket or take it out. i find that i'm constnatly having to put the case on again because it falls off. go with TPU cases, silicon ones aren't useful if you plan on putting your ipod in yuor pocket

I ordered a case for an iPod touch 4th generation and received a case for a iPhone....or some other kind of phone, but I know it was not what I ordered......should of sent it back, but I didn't even open it up when I got it, just wrapped it for my daughter...

I bought this case for my daughter, to go with her iPod Touch 4th generation. She loved the color. But the case itself leaves a lot to be desired. It is very flimsy, the edges do not stay around the iPod, not on the sides, and especially not on the bottom where you dock/charge it. It is worth the $4, that is about it. But if you want your iPod Touch protected from scratches, falls, and being in a pocket, purse, or backback, this is NOT the case for you.

We are now looking for something sturdier for her. - Ipod Touch 4th Generation - Greed - Protector - Ipod Touch'

Visual Storytelling - manga studio, manga

I'm just starting to use this software, but from what I've seen, it's worth the money. Conceivably, you could do an entire comic from start to finish, from pencils, to inks, to coloring, to lettering, with this program and never have to touch pen to paper. Plus, if you register it online, you get extra content for free. However, i wouldn't entertain the thought of buying or using this unless I had a pen tablet. not sure how you could use this with any efficiency without one. Debut doesn't have a vector option, as the more negative reviews state, but if you are like me and just love to draw comics for fun, then that's something you probably won't miss. I draw comics as a ministry, so i want to do a good job. I think this is definitely a useful tool. There may be a slight learning curve at first, but there's tutorials found online that can help you figure it out pretty quick. the menu interface is very very similar to Photoshop, which made it pretty easy for me. You probably won't be disappointed with this. just my two cents. Manga Studio Debut 4 (Win/Mac)

If you want a toy, then get this version, but if you'd like a really great tool for drawing manga, then get the EX version. The EX version may be much more expensive, but if you're a serious artist, then you might as well throw away your money if you're going to buy this version. To give you an example of how many features that this version is missing: it doesn't have vectoring, an eyedropper tool, or even a gradiation tool! Check the website's manual for a list of features it doesn't have.

Skip this version, buy the EX version.

Manga Studio Debut 4 is the closest thing to a perfect sketchbook replacement on the market. A 70 dollar bamboo pen tablet and a 50 dollar Manga Studio Debut 4 program, and you have enough(assuming you have a sufficient computer) to stop buying sketchbooks for as long as you want to.

Manga Studio Debut 4 is fast enough at pencil, pen, and paintbrush/airbrush(airbrush is hidden in the paintbrush options) tools. This makes it perfectly reasonable to replace a sketchbook. Add the storybook files of 32 pages, with the option of seeing your pages to your left while working on your picture to the right and you've got a tight sketchbook.

Does it do panels? yes. Custom panels? yes. Tones? yes. Custom Tones? yes. Layers? yes. Ruler layers, Grid Layer, Selection Layer? yes. Layer Opacity? yes. Layer color? yes. Advanced curve settings for pen/pencil tools? yes. Does the brush have materials that are fun to play with in B&W and color? yes. Speed lines? yes. Does it have print settings? yes, a host of them. Could you make your own comic? As easy as a comic is to make. Can the program draw for you? Actually it kind of can... you can make selections, then paste tones inside the selections, and you can subtract selections from within a selection and add selections outside of the selection... and have the program tone or material all your selections. First... this is where it's a bit slow... and two, that's kind of overusing the feature.

Weak tool points of the tools present.

Text - for whatever reason... text rotation seems only present in the EX version. text rotation?? oh, come on... you'll probably work a page at 90 degrees for comfort. Just sketch your own text, or work a page vertically. Balloons? yes. Sizing? yes. Multiple language input? yes. Vertical text? yes. So everything that made sense with text except rotation was included in the text tool.

Line tools - there is no such thing as a decent pen tool in this program, nor in the EX version. However, you can use the polygon line tool to create custom panels. And the Curve line tool makes tracing possible for Ruler work on the Ruler layer(a custom layer of saved paths for line work that is unique to Manga Studio)

Conclusion: Amazing digital sketchbook... better in page organization with 32 page story files than any program on the market. With it seemingly overpowered, the lacking rotation on the text tool is a hair puller.

Tips: With all that sketching practice in your tablet, you may want to animate your sketches... and a free program called "Pencil" will do that for you.

I'd been looking for software to give my webcomic a professional look, particularly my word balloons and lettering. I came across a blog online that led me to Manga Studio Debut 4, and it was a great price for the features. It's got layers, the ability to draw, paint and color, hundreds of tones and materials to give your art depth and flair, and plenty of online support, including a sizable manual you can download as a pdf. It has dozens of word balloon styles and a good number of fonts and a panel cutter to breakdown your page just how you want it. If you want to check out what I did with the program, just stop [...], by webcomic! Rated Web 14 (NSFW)!

Manga Studio Debut 4 is the slimed down and more economical version of Manga Studio EX 4. This English version of the famous Comic Studio application used in Japan is extreamly helpfull when it comes to applying screen tones to a piece of artwork.

Personally I prefer to draw by hand, and thus the limited feature set of Manga Studio Debut 4 is perfect for my purpose. I use it for creating yonkoma and comic strips. It produces good results when you draw directly into the program with a digitazation tablet, however I use a Wacom Intuos 4 medium tablet which is a very sensitive digitazation tablet. I have never used the Wacom bamboo tablets, therefore I am unable to coment on the use of them for creating an entire work on the computer.

My favorite features of theis program is the screntones and the yonkoma templates that are included.

I also don't use the color feature of this program, and thus am unable to coment on it.

A word of caution: Manga Studio Debut 4 and its previous version is not a vector graphics program, and do to this fact if a work is enlarged or reduced it may become fuzzy.

I have used it on both Windows Vista and Windows 7. Personally I find having 2GB + of RAM dramaticly increases the speed.

Another economical drawing tool for the computer that I enjoy using is "Autodesk Sketchbook Pro." Autodesk Sketchbook pro is a fast and slim sketching tool. - Manga Studio - Comics - Manga - Illustration'

Weight Lifting Gloves

Boy have I had a hard time finding a pair of weight lifting gloves! My previous ones were simple leather Saranac gloves, not much padding but they lasted for several years. The leather eventually rotted out forming huge holes. But I can definitely say that the Saranac gloves were awesome.

Now onto the replacement. I tried four different types of gloves.

Harbinger 143

Harbinger 1260

Harbinger 1215 Big Grip II

GoFit Diamond-Trac

The Harbinger 143 gloves were OK. They didn't have too much padding, but fit very snug and were difficult to get off. Also, the fingers were short.

The Harbinger 1260 and 1215 were both unusable due to having too much padding in the palm and knuckle area. The padding is comfortable for pressing exercises (e.g. bench press), but makes it all but impossible to do pulling exercises (e.g. pull ups, curls, deadlifts, rows, etc.). You can try them yourselves, but save some money and take my word for it.

The GoFit Diamond-Trac gloves are the best of the bunch for my needs. They have a little padding in the palm, but not enough to interfere with your grip. They are lightweight, so I'm not sure how long they'll last, but I'll reserve judgment on that. They do make my hands sweat, because the neoprene on the back doesn't seem to breathe well. They run a little larger in size than the other gloves. Also, I like that they have a finger tab to help you pull off the gloves.

Please be kind enough to indicate if reviews are helpful. Harbinger Pro FlexClosure Wash & Dry Glove (Black, Large)

I recently started casually lifting at the gym. After getting into heavier weights, I found that my limits were more based on what pain my hands could take from holding the metal weights and bars, instead of what my muscles could lift. So I bought these gloves and couldn't be happier. Now I can focus on lifting the weight rather than worrying about my hands getting torn up.

I'm new to weight lifting, but even for light to moderate weights these gloves make a big difference.

I'm sure other gloves would do the trick too, but these had a great price and look. They run small, so order a size up if you're uncertain.

I am satisified with these gloves. However, I had to cut the area between the ring finger and index finger because it was sewn too closely. When my hand was in the glove that area bit into my hand. I am uploading a photo so can see what I am talking about because I may not be explaining myself very well :)

Other than that I like the gloves. They smelled of heavy chemicals when I got them. Just FYI, you might want to wash them with your unimportant laundry to get the toxic smell out. I did not wash mine. And these gloves do not turn my hands black. That's nice.

Had I first tried them on at Sports Authority I may not have bought them. But after making the small cuts in the gloves they perform fine.

I am a Gym Rat, working out 4+ times a week for 2 hours a day. I do about 1 hour of free weights then 1 hour of Cardio. My last pair of Harbinger Gloves were stolen from me at the Gym while I showered. They were $40 Harbinger Model 1250(Grey colored, with wrist straps). I loved those gloves, but I did not want to spend another $40 for gloves I may lose or have stolen, so I found these on Amazon for under $15(Harbinger Model 143,Natural). I am very pleased with these gloves. The color natural was better looking in person than in the pics. While these did not have wrist straps, they were as nice as the 1250 Model. Very Well Made, Great Job Amazon!!!! Comfortable and Durable. I have been buying weight lifting gloves for over 20 years, and these can hang with the best. I take a large and these were true to size. Also NO Bleeding from Dye inside the gloves that stains your hands after you sweat the first few times you use them. Also these gloves keep your hands cool while you lift, making your gloves less likely to smell of sweat after you take them off. I apply some talcum powder to my hands before I put the gloves on. And the gloves look and smell very clean. I was very impressed with the stitching, it was very obvious that these were not cheap gloves. I would expect to pay at least $30 for these gloves, not $13.49!!! So I truly felt that I got a bargain. I may just buy another pair at this price as a backup pair. So if you are on the fence about buying , and need a quality, affordable pair of workout gloves, I can't see you going wrong with these.

These gloves can be found Online or at some Sporting Goods Stores, though you won't find as cheap as Amazon is selling them for. I don't know if this is Amazon's normal price??, or if the $13.49 was just blind luck on my behalf??

I hope this review helped.

I've used Harbinger gloves in the past, and recently got these. But I had to return them because the stitching at the wrist near the label pulled away after two wearings, and it seems like other parts of the stitching will do the same soon. They were also very small; I got an XL based on my prior pair being XL, but these felt like M or L.

These are great gloves! I have no complaints about them, but I do think I should take a moment and address a common complaint that almost kept me from buying them. Several people have commented that the gloves run small. These complaints are frankly idiotic. These people have obviously never owned anything made of leather. NEWS FLASH -- it stretches! Yes, the gloves are small and do pinch at first, but after about a week's worth of wear at the gym they fit perfectly. There's no reason to order one size too big, because if you do you run the risk of them being too loose, which would cause them to rub and cause blisters, which is the whole point of buying them in the first place!

Buy these gloves in the right size, and if you have more patience than a preschooler you'll love them!'

Telescopic Fishing Rod

This is a low end Shimano Rod. It was exactly what I needed as a pair of

trolling rods in terms of stiffness at base and flexibility at the tip.

I use it for both mono and for leadcore. I also use them for bait fishing

and jigging. I would not recommend them for flipping/casting as they are

thick diameter and not as light on the wrist and Shimano has lots of better

rods for that. But in terms of price and quality, for my purposes,

they can't be beat. Shimano FXC 2 Piece Casting Rod (7-Feet, Medium)

I haven't caught anything with it yet but, given that it was only $15 (I got the MH version), it's definitely worth the money. I'm now sure about the sensitivity but I'm float fishing for channel cats with it and it wasn't an issue.

Bought this 2 piece rod to put in the back of the SUV when we go visit the inlaws. I have other rods worth hundreds of dollars more I use when fishing from my boat, but this is the one that hauls in my personal best. It's not as sensative as your higher end rods and not as light and well balance, but it is well worth the money. It has good back bone and is built tough. It has outlasted other 2 pc rods I have purchased and after all the 6'0" model was strong enough to haul in a 10+ 27" largemouth bass while fishing it with a texas rigged plastic worm.'

Battery Pack - lithium-ion, battery pack

After buying this 18v Ryobi Lithium battery through Amazon and retailer Minng 88, and paying 60$ plus, it stopped working after less than five months of light use. It gives a 'defective' signal when recharging. Because it was past 30 days, since purchase, I cannot return it or exchange it for a working battery. It means if you get a defective product from Minng 88, it has to fail within 30 days. If it stops working on the 31st day. you are out of luck. This is very unsatisfactory customer service.

When I had a similar experience with a defective Rigid 18v Lithium battery, bought at the same time through Amazon supplier, Damlow, the response was quite different. Damlow said to return the defective battery for a replacement despite being well past 30 days since purchase. That is great customer service and makes me a happy client. Damlow has gained a future customer. I will never buy from Minng 88 again. and advise all to do the same. Lithium Battery - battery packs, lithium

These batteries are a great value because they last a lot longer than other 18V batteries. I have crews using these tools for metal framing and such and the less time they spend getting down off of scaffolds looking for a charged battery, the more money I save. I personally used the 18V driver to install 18 sheets of Durock and I went thru over 300 fasteners on a single charge. I kept reaching for more fasteners wondering when the battery would go dead and it just kept on going. The 3 amp hour design is awesome. In this case, I say you get what you pay for...and maybe a little bit more. Makita BL 1830-2 18-Volt 3.0 AH Battery, 2-Pack

I have used a lot of different tools/batteries. These outlast all the guys at work who are using dewalt. The batteries actually make a cordless sawszaw a useful tool. Even my boss was impressed. The only draw back is they are not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

if clothes make the man these batteries make the tool. just don,t leave the battery in the tool when you put then in the bag that the tools came in. the sligest touch to the trigger and the lite stays on and the battery willl be drained when you go to use it.

These batteries are important if you own a makita li-ion set. With the supplied two batteries you have to switch a single battery among the tools you are using while the second battery is charging, agrhh. This was very annoying when you are trying to make money on the job site. Armed with four batteries you can run three tools while one is charging, now you can make money!

These along with any of the tools made by Makita are the best on the market. I have used Makita's 14.4 Nicd stuff for years and actually sold them to a buddy and he is still using and lovin them.

Thank you Makita keep up the good work.

I was using the much smaller 1.0ah batts that came with the tool, and they'd last less than an hour.

This 3.0ah is so much better and lasts for a good couple of hours (having 2 is also great). Plenty of torque, super-fast recharging time and THE CAPACITY TO GET THINGS DONE.

Also, the Lithium technology is far superior to NiCd (and even NiMh); smaller, lighter, no degrading capacity (memory) effect, stronger torque, faster recharge and longer lasting.

I purchased the 18 volt Makita Drill and Impact Driver with the 1.4mAH batteries. Due to the amount I use them at the same time I purchased two 3.0 mAH batteries and these batteries have significant improved capacity over the 1.4's. I would recommend spending the difference if you use these tools frequently.

We normally buy Dewalt cordless tools, but when we find deals, we will buy other brands and we figured we'd give the Makita's a try.

The pluses: these batteries do last longer between charges than the old Dewalts nicads we had. If we have 2 guys doing the same job, the Dewalt would lose its charge in 3 hours, while the Makita would last at least 3.5 hours doing the same job.

The downside...the batteries cost you more in the long run. They aren't cheap, and they do last longer between charges, but we seem to have to buy new replacement Makita batteries more often than we do for our Dewalt products.

So, these batteries are great in that they are probably the longest running 18v cordless batteries we have had for our tools, but in the long run we probably won't stick with them because they need to be replaced every 4-6 months (we use them everyday), while our 'other' branded batteries are lasting almost a year under the same workload.

Having gone through several batteries with DeWalt products, I decided to shop around and see if I could find a "better mouse trap". I purchased these extra batteries thinking that they would be on par with the DeWalt's. Boy was I wrong!!! The charge on these last a long time. I have a four man crew with two impact screw guns, a chordless sawzall and a heavy duty drill. We have five batteries total and one single charger. I cant think of a time that anyone of us was waiting on a "hot" battery! Very satisfied!

extra batteries simply make sense for a serious worker. the one or two which normaly come with a set will not keep you working indefinitely and being able to cycle through four means constantly having power. even if your buddy keeps borrowing your impact driver. - Lithium Battery - Lithium-ion - Lithium - Battery Packs'

Running - running, heart monitor watch

I bought this HR monitor watch not only so that I could get an idea of where I was during running, but also so that I could improve my conditioning during my runs. The chest strap is comfortable & stays in place (ladies should wear under your bra). The watch has a lot of features, some of which I haven't tried yet. I love the indiglo feature, perfect for those pre-dawn runs! It's definitely helped me improve my pace! Timex Ironman Road Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch, Plum/Silver, Mid Size

My wife initially bought this wanting something a little more streamlined and user-friendly than her Garmin, plus, yea it's purple. From the first day she has been very pleased with it's function and usability.

She was lucky enough to have had a Body Bugg(from The Biggest Loser TV show) system shortly after to compare it to. With all the items you needed to buy the Body Bugg was a couple hundred dollars easy and the membership was still in trial, so more money once that started up.

The Body Bugg is probably accurate for an individual who might feel as though walking down stairs is physically taxing. If you are physically fit or even newly pursuing a workout program you will see caloric stats from 1000 one day to 300 the next in the same exact workout. Essentially it's a gimmick but since the Timex was never taken out of the mix, we were able to see how accurate and consistent this device was for HRM and certain calorie measures.

The Bottom Line: If you want an easy accurate HRM this is a great device to get; lightweight; stylish; user-friendly, just don't abuse it or the watch band probably won't hold up. While the calorie burn stats seem to be pretty accurate when compared to medical and fitness formulas, it is taken on a 'Lap' basis, which means you can't leave it running 24/7 and more closely monitor your patterns like calories burned in sleep. Still a great product for the price point. She likes it, I'm happy, I would recommend it.

I am a triathlete and 3 months after purchasing this product, when swimming, water formed under the glass and stopped functioning. The watch claims to be water resistant to 100m, I did not go lower than 10 meters!

This was a gift to my sister who does Ironmans. She tells me it took some time to figure everything out and get it working. But that done, she is pleased to see it does have all the different features she wanted. Here's a comment from her: "at the end of the run, it tells me how long I have spent in the training zone I had programmed, what my max/min HR was, how many calories I burnt." One negative perhaps is that it's "not quite as easy to read on the run" as it has a smaller face to a previous HRM she had. All-in-all however, she is happy with this Timex..

I really like this heart rate monitor although I do have to agree with a few of the other comments concerning calories burned, this morning on the treadmill the watch gave me a calorie read out of 349 calories and while the treadmill had 279 calories used. The treadmill reading seemed to be more in line with the workout I had done. The heart rate readings appear to be very accurate and I like being able to see the review that is given at the end of a workout for total time, time in heart rate zone and average heart rate.

I would definitely recommend this heart rate monitor to others. It has also been fun to wear it at work (I wait tables) and see that when we get busy I am often getting a real workout even while I am working.

Ordered this watch/heart-rate monitor as motivation. My Nursing class was having a competition for 10 weeks on 'who could burn the most calories.' I wanted to find out how many calories I was burning per workout and which workouts burned the most. I'm extremely happy with this purchase! I tested the HR monitor against the ones at the gym and this was spot-on accurate. I was worried that the chest strap would be uncomfortable and it isn't. I even wore my heart rate monitor to work (waitress) and found out that I burn almost 2,000 calories on my shifts!!

I bought this for my girlfriend and she loved it. The watch looks good so she even uses it when she is not working out. I have the same model but full size and it has completely change the way I train, you get more control over your workout and use your time more efficiently. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking to improve their performance.

So far so good. This watch has done for me exactly what I wanted. It's comfortable and fairly easy to set-up, plus the watch is nice looking. The pricing on it was extremely competitive. This is my second iron-man watch. I'm still wearing my first, however it does not come with the heartrate monitor. My first watch has a crack in the screen, so I can no longer wear it in water, but other than that it still functions great. I'm hoping this watch lasts just as long or longer. It doesn't have some of the perks that other heartrate monitor watches have (like counting steps, etc.), but for the price, you can't beat it!

I researched a lot of HRM before deciding on this particular model. I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend this watch to others.

I am an individual who excercises 4-5 days/week for health and weight management. I was interested in seeing how my different workouts (running, spinning, weight/cardio classes, etc...) compared as far as my exertion/heart rate and the number of calories burned.

This HRM is easy to set up (although the instruction manual could be a little clearer and in a better order) and easy to use once you have it set with your maximum heart rate and other options. I am a petite female (5ft. 2in. approximately 110 lbs) and I have to wear the watch on the tightest setting. The chest strap fits great. I don't even realize I have the chest strap on and it fits easily under a sports bra for a comfortable fit. The face of the watch is a good size (I wouldn't want it any bigger for my size wrist)---the screen is easy to read and it is easy to toggle between settings. I know other reviewers mentioned it being easy to hit a button by mistake but I haven't had that problem. The calories burned and the heart rate monitor seem accurate and I haven't had any problems with interference from gym equipment or other HRMs. One of the selling points for me to purchase Timex was that I could change the batteries myself or take it to a local battery retailer and have them do it. I know other manufacturers (Polar for example) have you send your watch in for battery replacement.

Overall, I love my watch so far and it has become an asset to my workouts. I would highly recommend this watch to others.

On a side note, the first HRM that was shipped to me was defective. Amazon was wonderful and easy to work with on an exchange/return! - Heart Rate Monitor - Heart Monitor Watch - Running - Hrm'

Environmentalis - green living, earth-friendly

Look Great, Live Green is chock-full of the kind of information about exactly what we're putting on on skin (and our hair and our teeth) that it would take you years to pull together on your own.

Author Deborah Burnes owns her own all-natural (really!) skin care line and she has really gone the extra mile to find out what's in the drugstore and luxury products and how all of those synthetic products add up to a chemical soup on our largest organ - our skin.

The book includes an overview of the current manufactured cosmetic industry and the sorry state of federal regulation of topical products and toxic ingredients. Burnes offers helpful "Good-Better-Best" lists of alternative products, and while most of us may not be ready to make our own deodorant, thinking through the cumulative effects on ourselves and the planet is a good thing.

If you ARE interested in making homemade care products, Burnes includes easy-to-use recipes and handy "What To Avoid When You're Shopping" lists. The wealth of information is sometimes overwhelming, and the book would have benefited from more bulleted lists and a judicious pruning of Burnes' anecdotes. Her publisher also did her no favors in the production department. The paragraphs are way too long for this kind of book and the type is squeezed too close together, giving many pages a "gray" effect that makes them difficult to read.

But Burnes has written a good guide to those looking to make some changes, large or small. Look Great, Live Green: Choosing Bodycare Products that Are Safe for You, Safe for the Planet

I received a copy of this a few months ago and am finding myself referring to it regularly when considering which brands to select in my ongoing effort to rid my household of as many toxic products as possible. It has become one of the more useful guides I own because it actually gives lists of real brands to consider as well as providing all the information a consumer needs to make a better choice if those particular brands are hard to come by.

The book begins with a quick look at trends in makeup throughout history. It then moves into a discussion about how the ingredients in the products we use can affect our health. From the outset, the author reassures the reader that this book is for everyone, no matter how strongly you feel about limiting your exposure to toxins. Burnes accomplishes this by encouraging you to find your "comfort zone" and providing lists of products rated as "good," "better," and "best." I personally find this approach refreshing. It is too easy, with the onslaught of books coming out on this subject, to get obsessed with how toxic the world is. Most of us want to make some changes without dedicating our entire lives to avoiding everything that might harm us.

Deborah Burnes has really done her homework. I appreciate her emphasis on being an informed consumer and the importance of recognizing how companies often limit access to ingredient information, overstate the green-ness of their products, and fool consumers into thinking that because one product is really free of the scary stuff, that their entire product line is just as safe. She urges consumers to do their homework and contact companies for further information when it is either missing or vague. Her opinion on the Environmental Working Group's Skin Deep database echoes my own - while it's a great tool, it has a long way to go to give us an accurate comprehensive sense about what's safe and what's not. Not that that's their fault - in many cases, product information is very hard to get, and dissecting all the research done on just one chemical is monumental by itself, let alone for everything that shows up in the things we use every day. The fact that Burnes took the time to try and verify information by tracking down primary sources referred to by the industry about the ingredients tells me she's serious about obtaining and analyzing the facts. Her tips on how to get the best use of the Skin Deep database are valuable to me, as I am someone who has been a bit frustrated by how much it still lacks but haven't yet discovered a better source for researching the safety of a product.

Her top ten lists are full of good tips in small bites. I plan to put them in my pda so they are always with me when I'm shopping.

A solid foundation in media literacy is something I think is a must for everyone, and I consider myself pretty well informed. But Burnes reveals things about personal care products that even I didn't know about - how a manufacturer can leave out ingredients it lists on the product's labels, tricks used in advertising to make a company seem "greener," and how words like "natural" and "organic" lack concrete definitions or FDA laws about how they can be used. I love the real life examples she gives in this book, such as when she takes a bottle of Suave shampoo and summarizes the scientific research on health effects for each ingredient. But health is not her only focus in this book - she is also concerned about sustainability and environmental impacts. The book raises consciousness about the use of resources in packaging, ingredients, and what it takes to actually get it to a store's shelves.

The largest portion of the book is devoted to comparison shopping. It covers brands I see regularly in the places I shop - and sometimes reveals tidbits about those stores themselves. The author isn't shy about difficulties she's had while researching a brand, a product, a store, or an organization, but her concerns are never petty or trivial. Although it could be argued that she does have some self-interest in how this information is presented because she is also has her own line of beauty products, nevertheless, her thorough investigative work makes her a credible source of information. I feel that the author has done a lot of the legwork for me, as a consumer, in writing this book.

One thing I find a little odd is that her section on chemical-free makeovers provides analysis of products from her own company, Sumbody. It reads a bit like advertising camouflaged as strictly-informative text. But in some ways it adds to her credibility as a manufacturer because she writes about how her process of developing a product unfolds, which could be very useful to anyone wanting to start their own product line.

The book concludes with some recipes for natural products, ideas for the engaged activist, a list of resources for doing further research, appendices for both natural and toxic ingredients, a bibliography, and index.

I would have left out the excerpts from the rich and famous - this book doesn't need them. It's as if someone thought adding famous people to the book would make it more appealing, more "sparkly." But the text is solid and valuable on its own; no window dressing is needed.

In sum, this is a treasure of information on a topic the author clearly feels passionate about. I highly recommend it for anyone who wishes to make healthier, better-informed decisions about the products they use every day. - Earth-friendly - Natural Beauty - Health - Green Living'

Multifunction Tools - oscillating saw, oscillating tool

I had to install baseboard hot water into a log home. This required removing (squaring) out a section of the bottom logs so the baseboard would sit flush. I decided I needed a multi-cut tool to help with this project. I looked for alternatives to the expensive Fein and found the Craftsman 2.0 Amp Compact A/C Multi-Tool and the new Porter-Cable PC250MTK 2.5 Amp. These are both corded models which I compare below.

Features: The PC comes with a plastic case and the CR with a bag. I like the case better although too many compartments. I like a case with one area for the tool and another large area for attachments. This makes it much easier to shut the case without having to line everything up. The CR comes with a power indicator on the tool and a small built in light which may come in handy. Both tools have an easy to use variable speed dial. The CR has a vacuum port although I found it pretty useless in practice since the suction does not get close enough to the business end. The PC has a more flexible (rubber) power cord than the CR. I bet it would be less stiff in the cold as well. I really liked the quick change system on the PC compared to the hex key on the CR. Since the PC is relatively new the CR has more attachments options. In addition, I believe the CR is compatible with the Fein which has a very large assortment. Due to the quick change system on the PC other manufacturer's accessories will not fit. Besides the connection point on the blades they seem to be very similar in quality from both manufactures. The blades come marked for identification and depth of cut. These marking are painted and wear off just about on first use. Both manuals had very little useful information once you get past the pages of safety instructions. I liked the fact that the CR manual did not come folded like an old map you pulled from the glove compartment. You can actually lay it flat on a table and read it.

Ergonomics: The CR was smaller and felt good in the hand. You could certainly fit it into tighter spaces than with the PC. Vibration in the tools were about the same with a slight edge to the CR which I imagine can be attributed to smaller motor and less angle of oscillation. Both tools have good balance and seem well made.

Performance: The PC is the clear winner here for several reasons. The angle of oscillation and speed of oscillation is greater with the PC. This allows a similar blade to cut faster and the PC did seem to cut faster. My test was plunge cutting to the stops (1.5-2") into a pine log. Note: as you start to penetrate into an interior piece of wood, use GENTLE pressure which will allow the blade to work. If you try to force the tool the blade will stop oscillating with the energy transferring back into the tool; i.e. the tool with shake and it will not cut. In extended runs the PC does not get has hot at the CR. Changing the blade on the CR after an extended run can be a real pain with the hex nut, receiving housing and blade becoming super hot. In addition it takes time to back the hex nut out, install new blade or change angle and re-tighten. On the PC you simply squeeze a spring loaded lever, change blade or adjust angle and release lever to lock in place. Another advantage with the PC's blade change system is the blade stays connected with nothing to loosen. On the CR I found the hex nut to loosen with extended use, especially if you try to force the tool. I am sure this will lead to over tightening and stripping of that hex screw. In the end I kept the PC with the quick change system winning day. I would have given the CR 3 stars. Hope this helps. Porter-Cable PC250MTK 2.5 Amp Oscillating Multi-Tool Kit

I have both this tool and the Rockwell Sonicrafter. Overall, I like the PC better simply because of the quick change blades. The chuck is well designed using a heavy, trigger actuated spring that locks the blades in place. So far, I have had no problems with blades slipping and I don't envision any.

The Sonicrafter is a well-made tool and seems fairly heavy duty. Mine has taken quite a beating. The only complaint I could have with it is the chuck, which requires removing and replacing an allen bolt in order to change blades. This can become tiresome, especially when you are working under very dusty conditions, when the dust can get into the bolt threads and make the bolt difficult to remove and tighten.

The PC has a tough plastic gear housing as opposed to the Sonicrafter's metal housing. I don't know what the gears are made out of in either tool, though both tools are about the same weight. The only other difference I notice is that the fan in the Sonicrafter seems to push more air than the PC's. In actual use I have not noticed that either tool runs cooler than the other. Both tools seem to cut at about the same speed. I haven't noticed any other differences.

Overall, I prefer using the PC because blade changes are so much faster.

This is one of two of these that has a tool less tool changer. The other is the FEIN oscillating multi tool. This also has 2.5 amps like all the other ones. Granted the dremel one is 1.5 amp and the craftsman one is 2 amps.

Though there are not many third party tool suppliers for this one. It will change it has only been out for two or so months. I am looking forward to getting a few more of the tool attachments, especially the wood rasp attachment.

I testing it out and was surprised how fast it cut the 3/4 pine I had sitting around. It is amazing to make straight plunge cuts. It will be neat to make small mortise and tanner joints.

I have had the Porter-Cable oscillating multi-tool for a while now. I decided to buy this because I had used a friends high dollar name brand multi-tool and really liked it, but I couldn't see paying triple the price for the big name. I have used this every day for many different things including cabinet and deck work. The "no tool" blade change is great and time saving. The 10' cord is a good length. The Porter-Cable is very comparable to the Big Name Brand. The only down side is that the blades are a bit pricey and don't last very long. - Multi-max - Oscillating Tool - Oscillating Saw - Dremel'
