Keyless Deadbolt

I bought the kwikset smartcode pb deadbolt as a gift to my wife. We are always looking for the key. The installation into an existing baldwin deadbolt took less than 15 minutes. I was able to program the two codes easily. My issue is with the quality of the unit. The outside seems like a nice brass finish. The inside is a brass coated plastic. When I opened the box, I saw the unit had finger prints on the finish. I was not able to remove these. Within two weeks the unit has reset itself and did not accept the codes that had been working. I have had to reset the codes twice. A third time and it comes off the door. I bought the kwikset because of the $20 rebate and cost was $30 less than competing devices. My suggestion is to look at the other units. The cost is not enough to put up with the quality and unit resetting. Kwikset 90915SMTCP SmartCode Single Cylinder Deadbolt Featuring SmartKey, Satin Nickel

The look seems great for the first few months (you'll note that most of the reviews were written soon after purchase). However, within a year, the motor that retracts the lock burned out on one of my locks, and the cylinder gave up the ghost as well, so the key didn't work either. The second lock that I purchased at the same time just lost its electronic mind --- it was mechanically okay, but it wouldn't reset or take a new combination. Like most Kwikset products, the construction is just too cheesy. The keys, for example, are so thin that they'll actually bend. I'd avoid this product unless you intend to replace the locks every year or so, and be sure to have another way to get into the house if both the electronic and mechanical mechanisms fail, as happened to me.

This is a great product and can be found for under $100 at home center stores. At the time I wrote this, Amazon did not stock it.

It lets you set one or two codes, each from 4 to 8 numbers. Codes are easy to set, so you can use one for your housekeeper or a temporary one for when you are on vacation and need to give it to a neighbor.

A nice feature of this lock is that it can be set to lock itself 30 seconds after it was opened. My kids often leave the house without locking the door (the old deadbolt required them to use a key to do so) and this can do it for them. Even without the setting, locking the door is as easy as pushing a button.

The numbers light up, so you no longer need to fumble for your keys when it's dark and you have no trouble unlocking the door.

If you do want to use a key, a nice feature is the SmartKey system. I replaced an older lock and did not want to get new keys for my whole family. With this lock, you merely put the key in, turn it 1/4 way, push a tool into its slot briefly, and you can remove the key and place a different key in the keyhole. Then you turn the key back and take it out. It took about 5 seconds to set this lock to use my existing key. This feature makes it very easy to set the lock to use a different key to give somebody temporarily. It also makes it easy to set all the doors on your house to the same key, re key all of them in minutes, or key one of them a different way and change it back later.

Installing this was relatively simple. It required the typical steps, plus adding batteries and connecting a wire. Once it was installed, I pushed the battery pack in while pressing a button, and the lock set adjusted itself for my door. There's no need to do anything special to get this lock to work with the left side or the right side of the door.

My old locks were very easy to pick. These have a much higher grade of security. I liked it enough that I am upgrading the locks on some other doors and I'm glad that the SmartKey feature will make it easy.

I seen some of these locks been install in my neighbors, ( I live in a condo community) and decided to give it a try! I purchase from other online source where you can find it cheap at around $89. After 3 weeks the lock start making a weird noise and I eventually got lock out, I have to get a locksmith to help me open this lock. This is where I am amazed how this lock can be open with a simple method! The locksmiths basically open this lock within 3 seconds. Since then, I have change my mind and have to search for a better keypad lock here.

Nice product - good features and works great. Easy installation and nice not to have another key on the key ring. Had a hardware problem with the touchpad (9/0 key would not push in). Called Kwikset tech support and had a replacement item shipped to me within a week.

There is a lot to like about this lock and it installed easily. You must follow the directions, however, when installing lock to keep out of trouble. But the lock we installed is not holding its code. We enter the code one day, following instructions, and next day the lock doesn't seem to remember it. If we can get this problem resolved, we will order more.

Just installed the "SmartCode" deadbolt on my garage door, took me longer than I expected because I didn't look at the directions. It's not hard to install at all, but you need to follow the simple instructions.

PROS: I like the product a lot, very convenient. It was a hassle finding the garage keys to do the laundry. Nice outer finish.

CONS: The drawback are that the motor is a bit loud, but that's minor. Some of the parts are plastic, could have been metal, but I'll worry about that in 10-20 years from now. A bit pricey.

BOTTOM LINE: Get it, it's worth the ease of getting in and out, and about.

I purchases two locks one was defective and unusable. i had a clue something was wrong with the lock because the packaging was in a disaray and wrapped differently than the other lock that was not defective.I I didn't install them until after the warranty expired so I had to eat the $100.00 loss. I guess that is why the seller had such a short warranty : would not purchase from seller again :'

Upholstery Staplers - upholstery, pneumatic stapler

Using hand & electric staplers for years I found many problems building cornice boards used in making window treatments. In addition, attaching various thicknesses of fabric to the finished boards was another problem. I then purchased a Porter Cable air powered stapler. The stapler uses various sizes of galvanized staples which made the job of building cornice boards very easy. American History - british history, war

No one has been more acclaimed or prolific in writing about the total scope of twentieth century history than British author and historian Sir Martin Gilbert, who sometimes seems to represent a kind of one-man revival in British historical publication. Here he focuses impressively on the total scope of World War Two, from the opening shots fired in Poland to the surrender of the Japanese in Tokyo Bay. He brings impressive credentials to the task; as the foremost biographer and authority on Winston Churchill (with an 8 volume biography already published), he is obviously well versed on the particulars of the European theater of the conflict, and in this volume he displays how comprehensive his knowledge of the other theaters of wars, especially the Pacific campaign, is as well.Readers looking for specific orders of battle or "blow by blow" detailed accounts of particular engagements are likely to be disappointed, but even die-hard military huffs like me sometimes tire of such endlessly specifics, and it is refreshing to have an approach like Gilbert's which concentrates more on the context and connections of such engagements to use to get a better and perhaps more complete appreciation for what was happening in the same time or in the local area that materially affected the progress and eventual outcome of a particular battle. After all, this war was indeed global, and it is indeed useful to recognize that events transpiring in Stalingrad were materially affected by the dispositions of troops and airplanes dedicated to other Nazi commitments in the Mediterranean theater or to defend the skies of Berlin against British and American air raids. Gilbert's sweeping prose style and selection of topics makes for entertaining and informative reading; he masterfully weaves together a meaningful context in which the political, military, and diplomatic aspects of the conflict are connected in a perspective that always pays compassionate heed to the civilian impact of the bloody struggle. As one of the foremost authorities on the Holocaust, Gilbert blends the particulars of the "Final Solution" into the history as part of the ongoing narrative, placing it in context and offering the opinion that it seemed more the result of exigent circumstance and expediency that it evolved the way it did rather than as a calculated and well-organized campaign of deliberate mass extermination. This isn't to say the Nazis didn't mean to solve their so-called "Jewish Question" violently; it just means that the particular way this was accomplished owed much more to happenstance than to contrived evil brilliance. Of particular interest is the way Gilbert uses personal recollections and anecdotal details to humanize the epic struggle and to bring home the horrific and monstrous scale on which this war brought terror, death and destruction to much of the civilized world. He reminds us with compelling evidence and stirring narratives that people died horribly and needlessly every day during the disastrous, painful, and nearly six-year long struggle. If you want to better understand what happened during WWII and why it did, this wonderful and admirably comprehensive overview will serve you quite well. Enjoy The Second World War: A Complete History

I started this book with high hopes. Martin Gilbert is a famous historian and has done much to educate the world about the holocaust. I also feel the idea of a strictly chronological blow-by-blow history of World War II is a promising premise. However, the book provides little more than a collection of facts arranged chronologically. There is absolutely no historical or political context--the invasion of Poland starts on page 1 and he never backtracks to fill it in. There is very little analysis, usually just a listing of what battles occurred each month and how many tanks, planes, and/or casualties on each side. Instead of forming an arresting narrative, it just becomes a mind-numbing list of events that are never tied together. The format could lend itself to a discussion of global strategy, being organized by time rather than region. However, this is never pursued. The only reason I would look at this book again is if I needed to reference it for facts or dates. A great deal of scholarship was clearly involved in assembling these and, as such, it might be a useful reference, but from such a book I would expect much more.Instead of reading this book, for a truly excellent history of WWII, read Weinberg's "A World at Arms".

Martin Gilbert has really achieved something great in this book. He has captured the true horror of WW II, not only from the soldiers stand-point, but also from the view of the millions of civilians who lost their lives. He shows the world the true nature of Hitler's regime. His descriptions of major battles take up about a paragraph each. This is not good for the military historians, but it does show how battle fit into the larger story of genocide and a war against pure evil. All in all, a great read.

The great Churchill scholar Martin Gilbert's 'complete' history of the Second World War can perhaps be faulted on only one count: plodding.

This weakness in rhetorical strategy is also the virtue that sets this history of the Second War apart from others. A glimpse at the dated chapters in the table of contents is barely enough to prepare the reader for the cumulative impact of marching month by month through this great conflagration. One skips from one military theater to the next, always aligned with the same dates.

Thus, Gilbert allows the crushing burden of *world* war to settle upon the careful reader with devastating effect. One wonders how the world survived.

Survive it did, thanks in part - with apologies to doctrinaire oponents of 'great men' history-making - to decision-makers and opinion-shapers like Gilbert's beloved Churchill. Still, the bulk of this work's attention falls upon the generals. How could it be otherwise in a theater-movement-and-strategy approach? One follows the bloodied paths of armies who follow, to some degree at least, the edicts of generals who see dimly through their glasses and on their HQ maps. This, too, is a reality of war.

I highly recommend this book. It is not the view of the man in the foxhole or the nurse in the dressing station. It is, however, a bird's-eye view of how the world tore itself to pieces and then stopped just before there was nothing left. - History - American History - War - British History'

Silly Bandz - silly bandz

Angry Birds Red T-Shirt]I ordered two of these packs, as I have twins. One would have been sufficient, however, I knew that once the other school kids saw them, they would want to trade. My main motivation was that I know Angry Birds is very popular with the middle school children & I wanted my kids to be the first on the block with them. I guess in some small way it would make them 'hip'. Right. I'm old so it was initially difficult for me to distinguish what the heck each bandz character was. My kids had no problem. It was nice to hear the kids at school thought they were great. These bandz match the Angry birds tees I bought them. I usually find neat things for my children on Amazon. Angry Birds Silly Bandz 24-Pack...These Are Officially Licensed Silly Bandz...The REAL ONES!!!

We used these as prizes at our son's Angry Birds birthday party. The kids LOVED them! Because they're hard to find, none of the kids had them and were so excited to have "rare" silly bandz :)As a side note, I contacted the seller to ask for the shipment to come ASAP in time for the party. I found the package on my doorstep just two days later! I was so impressed, and really appreciate the seller's prompt action. Great job!

My Grandsons were so excited when I gave them their new Siily Bandz. They are obsessed with anything Angry Birds, and these bandz provided all the exciting bird and pig shapes they love. The bandz were well made and not flimsy and cheap as many other bandz seem to be. All in all a fun product for any other Angry Birds fans. - Silly Bandz'

If you wanna look like Justin Bieber, just wear this purple hoodie which is exactly in his trademark color. The large fit me perfectly as a 6'3 athletic male, which is surprising as often the sleeves are not long enough on this type of clothing. The fleece is pretty thin so don't expect the normal thickness of a hoodie, and the fit is more of a slim fit than full cut. The only negative is that the inner fuzz does leave fuzzies all over your t-shirt which might go away after a few washings. American Apparel Unisex Flex Fleece Zip Hoody Medium-yellow

Great coat for the price my only warning is that you make knots in the string of the hood because they came out during my first wash and it was a pain to get the string back inside of the hood. Otherwise, warm and cozy. I ordered a x-small and it fits me like a small/medium.

I've been looking for a classic hoodie for a while--just the basic zip-up sweat shirt you used to be able to get at The Gap, years ago. This is kind of close, but I'm not wild about the fit. It looks just like the picture, so I can't really complain, but it fits pretty snugly over the hips, and that's not really the look I'm after. The sleeves are also very long, so they are very bunched up (again, how it looks in the pictures).

The zipper seems kind of cheap to me--not smooth zipping up. Otherwise the quality seems decent. It is very soft. I haven't washed it, so don't know how it would hold up. - Womens Fashion - Pull Over - Br394 - Oversized Womens Shirts'

Cordless Lawn Tools - cordless weed eater, black and decker

I have used many gas trimmers in the past. When I say many, I mean many. I actually used to own a landscape company where we used commercial grade 2 cycle gas trimmers by Stihl. I am no longer in that business, but still like to have equipment with some power. How anyone uses those trimmers with extension cords is beyond me. I decided I did not want a 2 cycle trimmer, so I turned to a 4 stroke version by Honda and then came across this 36v by Black and Decker. I was skeptical, but seeing how they give you a 30 day free trial, thought why not. Is it as or more powerful as a lot of gas trimmers out there? Yes it is. Is it as powerful as my 2 cycle commercial grade Stihl's I used to use? No it is not, but it is damn close. This thing is clean, environmentally friendly, healthier for me to use and maintenance free. Some low rating reviews are listed here as well, but if you really read them, it's almost like they own Southfork Ranch and trying to trim the property on one charge. Those people should not have purchased something like this to begin with. This product is not made for them. It has a ton of power to trim with ease through the toughest foliage and I can actually do my "average" size yard 2-3 times on one charge. This trimmer is NICE! I would recommend it to anyone with a nominal sized yard. Try it! Disagree with me; send it back with in 30 days and write your review. Black & Decker NST2036 Heavy-Duty 36-Volt Cordless Electric String Trimmer

First, let me start off by saying that this is a powerful tool, for a battery operated trimmer. In fact, it is the only .080 dual-line battery operated trimmer that I have ever seen. And, it is powerful enough to cut through almost any kind of overgrowth. However, I did have a problem that caused me to return the trimmer (actually two trimmers since I returned my first trimmer for an exchange and then had to return the replacement trimmer for a refund).

The first trimmer worked just fine for about 15 minutes. I was trimming along a fence, when it suddenly stopped working without any warning. After an overnight battery charge, I tried to use the trimmer again. At that point, it would only beep and the trimmer head would not turn. And, after holding down the trigger for a few seconds, the battery started smoking. Needless to say, I immediately called Amazon and requested a replacement. Amazon Customer Service was very helpful and walked me though the return process. I decided on a replacement rather than a refund, since trimmer (while it was working) was exactly what I had been looking for.

I received my replacement trimmer the very next week. I was very careful with that trimmer and it lasted almost two weeks. During those two weeks, I trimmed using the slowest speed possible. Under those conditions, I did not experience any problems whatsoever. However, at the end of the two weeks when I was trimming along the fence again, the trimmer stopped working. I charged the trimmer battery overnight, but it never worked again. That trimmer went back for a refund.

Both times when the trimmers died, I was trimming at about 1/2 to 3/4 full speed continuously for about 5-10 minutes. It is my impression that Black and Decker did not take into account the amount of current that would flow through the battery if someone used the trimmer like they would a gas trimmer. With both of my trimmers, the battery seems to have completely shorted out (that, or or the trimmer motor burned out). If you use the trimmer at slow speeds or don't continuously use higher speeds, you should be ok. But, if you decide to use the trimmer at higher speeds continuously for any length of time, you may experience a problem. I think Black and Decker should have installed a circuit breaker or fuse between the battery pack and the motor.

I've always been a gas trimmer guy due to the power and not having to drag around an extension cord. Cordless trimmers are better for the environment, but the power and run time are challenging. Finally a trimmer that is the best of both worlds! Watch your toes on this one as the 36v has plenty of power. I don't have the biggest yard, but so far I only need to charge it every three uses after using for 30 minutes per run times. The Energy Star approval on the dual charger is another plus. The battery is a little heavy so the weight distribution is something to get used to. Overall this is the closest thing to gas I've seen and totally worth the money!

I was skeptical - especially about the price. But in two years, I've been through 3 trimmers, all were either battery or electric cord. Hated them all. I've been waiting a long time for a powerful, battery powered trimmer with a decent run time. Love this trimmer. I used to believe that the only powerful trimmer was gas powered. Not anymore.

I've used it for two summers now. Does the basics perfectly. And even better, it handles ivy, vinca, young bamboo and other vines with ease for as long as 40 minutes! Do you want to trim vines and weeds for longer than that anyway?

The gear drive is far and away better than the drive shaft system found on any other trimmer - gas, battery or electric. Why it took someone so long to do this kind of drive set up is beyond me. Just common sense.

You do need to take advantage of the variable speed trigger to get the most from the battery, and that will take a little practice. When trimming grass and other "easy" stuff, you don't need to run it at full speed.

As with any battery, following instructions and good charging routines goes a long way. When I use the trimmer, I run the battery as far down as I can. Between the front and back yard combined, this can take an hour or more using it intermittently and at variable speeds. Just using it straight, variable speed, about 40 minutes. So, run it down completely, then charge it up completely. It's Ni-Cad, so after a full charge, take it off the charger and let it sit. The day before you plan to use it, top the charge off again. You will get a longer life if you do that.

What I would like to see is a faster battery charge time (lithium would be nice) and less weight overall, but the weight is due to the battery, moving to Lithium would also solve that. Other than that, it's perfect. Highly recommend. - Black And Decker - Cordless Weed Whacker - Cordless Weed Eater - Cordless Lawn Tools'

I also purchased this expecting to receive 5 folders, but only got the blue one. On the product page there isn't even an option to choose which color you want, that in it self leads you to believe you are getting all the assorted colors in the order. I'm happy I happened to get a blue folder instead of pink, but seriously they need to make it clear you only get ONE folder. C-Line Two-Pocket Heavyweight Polypropylene Portfolio, Color may vary (33900)

It's a vinyl folder, just like any other vinyl folder with two pockets, but at the listed price and with the picture showing you 5 folders, I expected to get 5 folders. But in reality, you get 1 (ONE) folder. I usually never feel ripped off with any order from Amazon, but I feel pretty ripped off right about now. So much for the great idea of getting all my son's school supplies through Amazon. Looks like I'll brave the crowds and go to Target or Wal-Mart. That would have been way cheaper for these folders.

Hey--This product is very good for the price, and with Amazon Prime it was a steal, But when the product arrived I found only one folder and it was purple. You see the product picture is of 4 different colored folder, and was under the impression that 4 would arrive. Oh well still a great product. Sturdy and very neat. Sucks you cannot pick color though lol.

This product description did not specifically state the number of Two-Pocket Heavyweight P Portfolios. Had it stated one single portfolio I would not have purchased it. The description of the product is "Assorted Colors" and the picture shows 5 portfolios with assorted colors. How do you provide an assortment when it is just one piece? Answer, you can't. Thus, based on the description and photo, I was lead to believe that i would be receiving 5 portfolios of assorted colors. As you can imagine, I am disappointed.'

Electronic Arts - late night, pc game

This is a decent expansion pack for The Sims 3. The town is great and reminds me of living in a 3D Sim City. The clubs are fun to go to but my only complaint is they are always empty! It is not very fun to go out as no one in the town is really ever at. Maybe 1 or 2 Sims will be in a HUGE club. Not like the commercials at all in this respect. I am happy you can now go inside the building facades, unlike the first Sims 3 game.

Being a celebrity has been fun as other Sims will come up to you and take pictures and ask for autographs. And the paparazzi follow you around.

I haven't started a band yet but that is what I want to do next.

I have noticed a few glitches as Sims will walk in slow motion while everyone else is normal or get stuck in the elevator for hours.

Overall a fun expansion pack for the Sims 3 game. The Sims 3 Late Night - Expansion Pack [Download]

I really like this expansion pack, it adds late night activities as well as "celebrity" status. I like the celebrity status more than the late night part, the late night doesn't last that late, and all they do is dance around. It is more fun doing things for celebrity points, as I like a few goals to drive my game. I like the addition of a more city like town, with condo's and apartments.

I think what late night has to offer is great if you want to play the celebrity life in the new town. If you don't think playing a celebrity is what you would enjoy, the extra household items and outfits alone are worth the money you would spend to purchase this expansion.

I was plesantly surprised once I started to really get into this. And since I've had the chance to play it for several days now, I can honestly say this has been the best EP EA has put out for the Sims 3. The fun factor is a win for me. I love the added objects, the super star aspects and above all else, vampires! And luckily they have a little bit more free roam to them than the vampires did in The Sims 2. Instead of one type of bite, you have two. They also have two different forms of getting blood other than biting a Sim. Don't wanna give away a whole lot but trust me when I say, if you enjoyed The Sims 2 Night Life, you'll love Late Night for the Sims 3

Well I love the Sims games, and I hate waiting. I figured I would just download the Amazon product, knowing that Amazon is fairly loyal. Although this time it just aggravated me. I would download the product, and then it would deny me because I had to update the base game. So I did, and then I had to download the product all over again because apparantly the geniuses at Amazon didn't feel the need to save the freaking file to your computer until after it all ends smoothly... If Amazon had a way to access the program after a download rather then redownloading it this would be fine. Yeah im done with Amazon for a little while... This was enough to make me stop.

The gameplay however is fun and solid. I love the furniture, the unique apartments and the city.

Amazon Experience: *

Gameplay: *****

Value for Price: ****

My son had no trouble downloading this, and he says this is the, "Best expansion pack there could possibly be for SIMS. AWESOME." He says it includes loads of features that the original game should have had. He bought it with his own money and was not disappointed. That's saying a lot.

I love the Sims games and this is a great addition to the Sims games. I highly recommend the game. It adds so much more to the base game. However, I would get the disc and not download it. I had some problems and had to get the disc version. That could have been my fault. But, the game is well worth the investment.

I am truly in love with this expansion. It lives up to its name, because I often find myself playing this late into the night from it's addicting gameplay. The new features are wonderful and who would argue with the addition of vampires?

I looked at some of the other reviews. I've really had no problems with the game messing up. It's not necessary to have a disc in the drive when I play. That's a major plus for me. I plan on downloading future expansions through Amazon. - The Sims 3 - Pc Game - Sims 3 - Late Night'

Cordless - lithium, m12

I would not trade in my old 18 volt Milwaukee cordless tools, but there are many times I need to get in a tight space or just don't need the extra power (with the extra weight that goes along with it). This set is great for that. The lithium ion batteries are great in that they have the gauge, but when they quit that is it. Light Weight - frogg toggs, backpacking

I bought a set of these Frogg Toggs because they are specifically advertised as being a motorcycle/outdoor rain suit. I wore them ONCE for 1 hour on my motorcycle and both legs had holes melted through. The left leg doesn't even have pipes NEAR it and it still developed holes. The right leg didn't touch the pipe and still melted in large patches. I couldn't figure out what happened until I tested the material near my pipes and found that they WILL MELT without touching the pipes - but just by being near them.

Buyer beware. False advertising and a horrible product not designed for its use.

Edit: I've talked with Frogg Togg (the company) and they have agreed to send me a couple of the patch kits which they tell me are heat resistant. Although my previous criticism still holds I have to say that Frogg Toggs is a good company with excellent customer support. I would recommend this rain gear as long as you put the heat resistant patches on. Frogg Toggs Road Toad Reflective Wind and Rain Suit, Black/Silver, Large

I bought the Frogg Toggs after doing quite a bit of research. These work great for my motorcycle, I've heard that they melt on hot pipes. I don't have that problem because my motorcycle is covered in fiberglass. I used these on a road trip and the temprature was in the 90's. The air flowed easily through them and I was cool even though I was covered up. When it rained they kept me dry. As far as I can see it's the best of both worlds and I would recommend these to anyone taking a road trip.

First time I used this rain suit the zipper let loose from the bottom up. I was able to repair the problem and discovered this won't happen if your very careful when starting the zippor. The fit is not that great for short people. The elastic around the waist leaves alot of loose material in the chest area. Made me look like a black Pillsbury dough boy. The material itself is not what I expected. It looks like I could polk my finger through it if I really tried. It does have it's good points. Reflective white piping, a little carrying bag, it keeps the rain off and it does breath so you won't get sticky from traped moisture.

I've really put this gear to the test! I bought the Frogg Toggs Elite Highway Rain Gear specifically because of the reflective properties and design for motorcycle use. It rained ( and hailed a bit ) from the moment I left Denver until I was just outside of Topeka, KS. At every stop along the way and at hotel in Topeka I was bone dry! I love this gear and keep it in the pannier on my bike always. I ride a BMW R1200RT in all types of conditions and never leave home without this gear. It's been field tested on long tours and during local commutes and gets my full endorsement. Easy to pull on over boots and fits good over my other motorcycle gear. As to reviews complaining of melting: I don't know of a rain gear made that withstands heat. Take care of your gear and it will take care of you.

I've owned this suit for about 4 months and it's falling apart. The material is a thin plastic layer coated on both sides with fuzzy plastic. The fuzz wears off quickly, then the thin plastic falls apart. The zipper teeth regularly pull apart without undoing the zipper slider. The upsides of this suit are that it works well at first and is low cost. It would be good as a backup you don't plan to use more than a few times anyway

Pros: cheap, effective(initially), compact

Cons: won't last

I highly recommend this suit, but there are conditions;

Advantages; very light weight, jacket & pant together weight about 1 LB. They compress into a carry bag(included) about the size of a 2-liter Coke bottle. The integrated hood folds into the collar, goes easily under a full helmet and keeps water from dripping down your back. The jacket has good elastic, draw strings and zippers in the right places. The pants are simple and practical. A draw-string waistband, legs have elastic plus zippers at the bottom, would go easily over boots. Has covered slits on both sides to access your pants pockets. The reflective strips are visible to headlights a block away. Material does breath very well, I was comfortable, dry & not sweaty at ride's end.

Disadvantages: no pockets in jacket or pants. Material is very thin, almost like tissue paper. It will rip easily, be warned. I can see how it would melt on contact with pipes. I may contact the company to get a patch kit just in case. The reflective strips are good, but in an accident, the suit will give you no protection. The orange is not flourecent, it is rather dull, I would have liked a brighter color for safety(I think new colors are coming out).

Advice; this is NOT for everyday use. It will be good for emergency use if you're caught in a downpour, or have to ride (as I did) on a rainy day. It will not replace chaps or a good riding jacket. It is designed to be cool, it will not keep you warm in cold weather. It is baggy(purposely) but buy it big enough; my X-large goes easily over a heavy armored jacket, but the material will not stretch, it will rip if you pull it too much. The X-large pants would go over chaps OK. (I am 6'1", 200 LB) It is hard to get on quickly over heavy clothes, you need to take your time, any pulling & it will rip. Put it on before it starts raining, you won't even know you have it on, unlike heavy vinyl rainsuits or ponchos that are sweat factories. Follow this advice, it should last you for years.

Ordered these to ride in some potential rain coming back from LA. Glad I had them as it was pelting down.

The only downside was the pants would ride up over the boots. It would be nice to have some elastics to hold the legs down. A small amount of water got in near the crotch. I think the openings for the pockets were letting water in.

Overall not bad though.

Overall this product is fine - it keeps you dry. The material is light weight and breathes well - not like a sheet of plastic as one might expect. My major complaint is that the zipper is of very poor quality. I would have gladly paid five dollars more for a brass zipper. Inexpensive Diamond Whetstones - inexpensive diamond whetstones, sharpening stone

I used this to retune my chainsaw bar on my Stihl MS 660 Magnum. Bars aren't cheap. This retuned my bar and got me cutting straight with less vibration in 10 minutes. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is it could use a more possitive lock down of the file. It dropped out the 1st couple of passes. Other than that it does what it says and its inexpensive. Droid X Battery - motorola, android

Mr. Brady couldn't have said it any better, caveat emptor buyer beware. It is obvious that something is up with these batteries, but i ordered it anyway because it couldn't hurt for that price. Any reputable dealer will charge anywhere from $45 to $50 for this battery. Even off-name batteries for the droid x are priced similarly. These are not even half the price, the seller varies the price regularly as these batteries have been priced from as little as $2.51 to $24.14. They are definitely not new and the seller has gotten complacent enough on amazon that they don't bother to remove the inspector sticker that says "New Breed Corp. PASS". This is the company that purchases the batteries from the cell phone carriers. They are probably returns. The battery i received works and appears to be fine but was obviously not new. The seller ships first class mail but clearly doesn't drop it in the mail fast enough took a very long time before i received my battery. NEW MOTOROLA OEM BH5X BATTERY FOR DROIDX DROID X MB810

Ordered 2 of these I was not sure what I would get. I know that counterfits don't charge in a droid X and also don't show remaining capacity but the 2 batteries I got were the real deal and not only work perfect but their labeling shows they are genuine motorola batteries. The capacity of each battery is also fine. I keep one fully charged in my wallet and another in my backpack. At this price everybody should have a few backups to ensure their X never leaves them stranded with a drained battery. I'm buying 2 more.

Works just like the original as far as I can tell

Be wary of those non-oem batteries being sold on ebay and other places, I purchased 2 batteries and a charger for $10 free ship and the Droid X phone says "invalid batteries, use only motorola brand batteries" as of the android 2.2 update and therefore you should stick with these batteries (yes a few bucks more expensive, but at least you can charge them IN the phone and not just in the charger).

I purchased two of these BH5X batteries from seller ACC Stop at Amazon.com. Both batteries seemed to be a genuine Motorola battery with an authentic holographic label and are rated for a 1500/1540 (min/typ) mAh capacity. However, I'm not sure that they were really "new" as claimed by the seller because: (1) the contacts seemed to indicate that the batteries had been used, and (2) one battery arrived with a 60% charge while the other arrived fully drained (0% charge).

Is this important? Some sellers would like you to believe that it is not but this is patently false. Lithium Ion batteries have a limited life. Three things cause them to deteriorate: (1) recharge cycles, (2) age, and (3) heat.

Li-ion batteries can be recharged from 400 to 1200 times as long as they are not subjected to too much heat. Some manufacturers claim their Li-ion batteries can be cycled more than 1200 times but this is usually wishfull thinking under "optimum" conditions---500 cycles is probably more typical. If you buy used batteries, they may still perform "like new" but they may have lost half of their life or more, depending on how many times they've been charged. This means that there is definitely value in getting a new battery instead of a used one.

Even if they are not cycled often, Li-ion batteries will naturally deteriorate with age---this is true even if they are left on the shelf and never used. One of the batteries I received was dated 03-Nov-2010. The other was dated 04-Nov-2010. So they were about 5 months old when I received them. This should be fine. By the way, I purchased my Droid X in early March 2011 and the battery that came with it is dated 27-Dec-2010.

The greatest "enemy" of Li-ion batteries is heat. It will reduce their life faster than anything else. This is yet another reason why a new battery is better because you never know how much heat a used battery has been exposed to.

Both of the batteries I received tested well. I tested their recharge rate from 0% to 100% and both batteries charged at a normal rate (approximately 10% per 13 minutes). One battery reached a full (100%) charge in 2 hours 9 minutes and the other reached full charge in 2 hours 17 minutes. This test was done in my Droid X using the stock Motorola AC charging adapter with the phone turned off. I plotted their rate of charge during the test and they matched a known good battery. I also monitored their temperature and they remained cool during charging.

Here's the charging rate of one of the batteries:

0% - start charging

5% - 2 min

10% - 7 min

15% - 6 min

20% - 6 min

30% - 11 min

40% - 12 min

50% - 13 min

60% - 13 min

70% - 12 min

80% - 12 min

90% - 14 min

100% - 21 min

-----------------------------

Total Time: 2 hours 9 minutes

My test of their discharge rate was a bit more subjective: I turned off the display "screen timeout" and played a video until the phone died. Both batteries seemed to last about the same time as my original battery.

Overall, I'm happy with the batteries I received from seller ACC Stop---even if they are used, their price was less than 1/4 the price of new batteries from Verizon or Motorola. However, I wish there was a way to confirm whether the seller's claim of "new" is true. There are many sellers who are selling rejects and heavily used batteries while claiming they are "like new" which makes it difficult on us buyers.

The only negative I can cite was the shipping package. ACC Stop shipped both batteries in a single cardboard envelope with no padding of any kind. I would have preferred them to have been padded---fortunately, they arrived okay.

I have no experience with other sellers of these batteries but I've read of many problems. So if you are not buying your batteries from a reputable source, then you are taking a chance.

I hope my comments are helpful. - Android - Droid - Battery - Motorola'
