Core Training Ball

These are the same set of medicine balls my personal trainer uses. I LOVE them. They are bumpy rubber like a basketball and roughly the same size. The 12 & 10 lb. are about the size of a basketball, while the 8 & 6 lb. are slightly smaller, and 4 & 2 lb. just a bit smaller than that. It seems like such an easy workout but surprisingly you can really feel the workout in your core. They are NOT the same as the Weighted Fitness Ball which is about the size of a softball. My whole family uses these medicine balls, it is a great workout we can all do together. Valeo MB10 10-Pound Medicine Ball

I've never purchased or used a medicine ball before, but in my winding and inconsistent quest to get in shape, I bought this. It operates as its own workout at this weight without being too big or bulky. It has good elasticity too, in case you're bouncing it off of something (hopefully something sturdy, due to its mass). The paint peels very easily, which is more of a nuisance than anything else. There's at least one extra layer of paint beneath it, but finding the little yellow pieces all over the place isn't all that great. It's a good product on the whole, though.

I'm very happy with this medicine ball. It seems well made, and its deeply textured surface and medium/small size (8.5" in diameter) make it very easy to handle. When I bought this Valeo 8-pound ball, I also ordered a TKO 12-pound ball, which has some distinct differences. The TKO turned out to be much larger: at 11" in diameter, it's even bigger than a basketball, and the texturing on the TKO is not as deep.

All in all, I'm glad I ended up with the combination of one smaller, lighter medicine ball and one bulkier, heavier medicine ball. The larger size of the TKO makes it harder to handle - which is a good thing, because it makes it more of a workout to manipulate it. For exercises like the squat press or medicine-ball curl, I prefer the larger size of the TKO ball, while for exercises more focused on range-of-motion, the smaller Valeo ball is a great tool. If you're considering a pair of these, this might be an option to explore. They both seem equally well made, despite their differences.

But if you're just looking for a mid-weight, easy-to-handle ball, definitely get yourself the Valeo.

These are the same set of medicine balls my personal trainer uses. I LOVE them. They are bumpy rubber like a basketball and roughly the same size. Great medicine ball, better than any I've used at any gym or school weight room. The rubberized shell makes for a sure grip. The weight is evenly distributed. Because of these qaulities, it makes working out with it easy and fun. Best of all, it's not bad priced either. I got it with free shipping, can't beat it. Enjoy.

This is my first medicine ball purchase. Thanks to the other positive reviewers, I decided to purchase it. I am picky when it comes to adding exercise equipment to my collection since a lot of exercise equipment out there is either poorly made or ends up not being used thus taking up space in the home. Because of this I seek quality and simplicity in my exercise equipment yet having the versatility for various exercises. I found this medicine ball to be a good fit. In the past, I have used different medicine balls in the gym occasionally as a supplement to my workout. However, these days I am training to become quicker by doing more explosive exercises. A few resources out there recommended a medicine ball for this kind of training so I bought it.

Surface Material:

The grip is superb due to its sticky rubber construction but I will need to see how quickly the surface fades over time. At less than $30, I think this is worth the cost if it lasts me at least 5 years. The textured surface and grooves also increases the grip and I did notice some soreness on my skin and finger tips after using it as one reviewer mentioned. As soon as you take it out of the box, you will notice that the ball has a strong rubber smell and after you use the ball you will notice a somewhat sticky/slick feeling on your hands which can be washed away with soap. If you plan to bounce it off a wall, make sure the wall surface is hard such as brick material and not drywall material. Also, the ball may leave scuff marks on certain surfaces. I like the black and blue color and it looks just like the picture featured on Amazon.

Size and Specs:

Like a few reviewers have mentioned already, the medicine ball has the similar size of a basketball but to me it looks smaller than an official men's basketball. It looks more like a junior/youth size basketball. The box states that the actual weight may vary by + or - 5%. My ball weighed in at 9.5 lbs which is acceptable to me. The inflation was good but I do not know how long it will be until I need to pump more air. I emailed Valeo's customer service and they told me that they did not have a specific PSI recommendation and suggested that "the ball should be inflated until firm as a basketball". I appreciated their quick response. The medicine ball is made in China.

There are a lot of exercises that you can do with dumbbells as a substitute for a medicine ball. However there are also lots of things you can only do with a medicine ball that you cannot or should not do with dumbbells. Thanks to the rubber and bouncy feature of this medicine ball, I can throw it up in the air and catch it without worrying too much about accidentally dropping it and causing damage to myself or the floor as a dumbbell would. However at 10 lbs. it is still a heavy object and you should not underestimate it and focus on catching it properly. This medicine ball is also great for basketball training such as increasing your vertical jump and agility but it is not for practicing your shots and despite its bounce, it is too heavy for dribbling. I appreciate the fold out sheet for suggested exercises but I recommend that you also research for different exercises to make the most use of it.'

Phone With Data Port - speakerphone, phone

Hard to find a quality phone these days. This Panasonic does all the basics required for a home office, including a decent speakerphone. Note that the speakerphone uses AA batteries, not an AC adaptor. Phone does NOT need batteries to work as basic phone. Recommended, but only appears to be sold online. Panasonic Integrated Business Phone (KX-TS105B)

I have a home office and do contract work for other companies. I needed a corded phone (for security reasons) with no bells and whistles like caller ID. The phone had to have a headset jack for hands free talking. There are very few corded phones on the market that are really this inexpensive that had the features I needed. Most everything has went to cordless. The buttons are a nice size. The mute is invaluable to my work along with the volume. I also love when I am working late that i can turn the ringer off as to not disturb anyone in my home and the phone flashses a red light when a call is coming in. Don't hesitate to buy this phone if you are thinking about it. You can't beat the free super saver shipping either.

I needed a simple solution for my office. I wanted to be able to use the phone, but not get tied down by the handset, or the headset. Here was my solution, Since the TS105B has the 2.5mm port for a headset, I purchased a Jabra A210 Bluetooth adapter along with this phone and used one of my spare bluetooth headset to stay on conference calls and yet be able to move around my office. So far... WOW!!! its worked out great. The phone is also good by itself, plus it was inexpensive through AMAZON. For anyone interested in going the route I took... you will not be disappointed.

Oh yes... you are limited to about 25 ft, or in my case as I work in a hospital where there are alot of other signals and lead lined walls... 15ft with max length at about 20 before you begin to hear static.

The phone was a great buy, as was the Jabra A210 adapter.

I've been searching for a corded phone for a while and came across this one. The speaker phone is definitely a bonus, however, it won't really work properly unless you put the batteries in it. Without the batteries, you can't dial and press the speaker phone right afterward. You have to wait until the person you're calling answers the phone. So don't forget to put the batteries in if you want the speaker phone to work properly. Overall, the phone is clear and crisp. The size of the dial buttons is a good size. Definitely a good corded phone to have.

I have had this phone now for 2 months and I am very satisfied with it. I read several reviews but I could not get a clear answer to the main question I had about this phone. I thought I would bite the bullet purchase it and then post it here for others who may be looking for an explicit answer.

- The speaker phone works with NO batteries

- If you don't put in the batteries, you can't press the speaker phone to get a dial tone. You must lift receiver and then press the speaker phone and dial.

- If you put in the batteries then the speaker phone button can be pressed to get the dial tone.

Sound quality is A+ both ways. I don't think I will need a headset for this phone.

There is no answering machine - and that is a plus. I don't need one.

There is no problem with the headset and the speaker phone is really nice. It works without batteries just fine for my needs. I have not used the memory feature yet - don't know if I will.

It also has a data port to connect to the PC or laptop so faxes can be sent.

This is a great basic business phone. It looks great on any desk and has lots of speed dial buttons that are easy to program. The speakerphone quality is great. The handset is reasonably comfortable. The ringer isn't too annoying. There is even a 2.5mm headset jack if you'd like to plug one in. Volume controls let you control speaker, handset, or headset volume. Hold button works as it should.

It takes 3 AA batteries, but I do not find this to be too much of a drawback; they will likely last a long time. My biggest complaint is that the light-up off-hook indicator is wasted doing only that; they should have made it a message-waiting indicator for systems that indicate new voicemail messages with a stutter dialtone. I have seen other Panasonic products that do this.

I am using this product on a VoIP line and it performs flawlessly. The number of oddities present in this setup further underscore how well this product is designed. It is perfect for any business or high-demand home application. It does exactly what it says and provides a great value for the money. Too many products miss this mark these days, so it is great to see something that still gets it right.

I got this phone to replace an AT&T phone that has a very poor speaker phone. Unfortunately this one is not much better. You have to yell when only three feet away from the phone for the other person to hear you. Also, the max volume on the specker phone is not all that loud. Why can't they make a speaker phone that works that doesn't cost a hundred dollars? The speaker phone on cell phone work better (much better) than this one. Maybe they have to plug into an electrical socket to get enough power. This one runs on three AA cells. - Panasonic - Speakerphone - Headset - Phone'

Ipod Headphones - ipod earbuds, earphones

This pair has already stopped working, and I've had to buy a better pair of a different brand in the store. If you only need to use earbuds for a week, then these are it, but they don't last for any longer than that. Stereo Earbud Headphone for Apple iPod Touch 1st 2nd 3rd Gen, iPod Nano iPod mini/ iPod video/ iPod shuffle

I purchased a stereo earbud headphone for Apple iPod Touch 1st, 2nd, 3rd, iPod nano, and iPod mini. I receive the headphones on June 10, 2010. It is June 11, 2010, and I have used the headphone for only one day. The 3.5 mm headphone jack has pulled out, and the right ear bud has come apart.

I love the earphones that came with my nano. When they finally died, I went online, saw this product, and I naively thought I was getting a steal; apple iPod earphones for a couple of bucks. I ordered two pairs.

I was wrong. The sound quality is poor... somewhat muffled, though not as poor as some I've heard. They need to be treated like royalty or they'll break. The only reason I'm rating this 3 stars is because I should have known it was too good to be true.

These headphones are complete knockoffs of the Apple iPod headphones. They are made of cheap plastic and sound quality is terrible. Their photos are MISLEADING!! The phones in the photo are absolutely nothing like the ones you will receive. STAY AWAY! - Ipod Headphones - Earphones - Ipod Earbuds - Earbud Headphones'

Kindle

I originally sought out these Iowa family stickers after seeing them on someone else's vehicle. I loved them and had to have them. The price seemed right on and they arrived quickly. I had no problem finding a character to assign to each member of my family and then personalizing each with some of the extras. I get a ton of compliments on them and they've been able to withstand an Iowa winter and lots of car washes while still looking bright and new! This is a perfect item for the Iowa fan that already has everything! NCAA Iowa Hawkeyes Decal Family

We purchased these decals to announce that we were having a boy. Everybody comments on them and asks where we got them. They went on easy and surprisingly, were easy to take off and reposition. I was a little hesitant about that part, but it really did work. They haven't faded or been bothered by the weather. I love how many it came with, as my kids grow, I can pick out more age appropriate figures. We also really liked the little extras that you could add (football, pom-poms, etc.) Great purchase, great product, great price!'

Holster Case Htc Inspire - holster case htc inspire, belt case

The physical dimensions of the HTC Inspire 4G phone are 4.8" x 2.7" x .46 (LxWxT), and this case is simply not big enough for it. I was extremely disappointed to discover that I can't use it for my phone. If you actually have an HTC Inspire 4G phone, do not purchase this case. Cellet Bergamo Leather Case Holster Black For HTC Inspire 4G

I work in carpentry, so this case is perfect. It has a strong side clip and the case is cushioned. With total coverage I dont have to worry about the screen getting scratched or broken.

I recommend this case to anyone with an HTC Inspire phone.

very comfortable and durable holster.

received very quick, very well packed.

HTC Inspire from AT&T fits like a glove

in this holster.

I highly recommend this one versus the magnet

flap type. This one makes it easier to grab out

your holster and keeps your phone cooler.

Overall I love it and very pleased with it, comparing

with other name brand merchandise, they are very high priced.

The holster was good for an open top, slide in type. Fit the phone with a small protector on it. The belt clip attaches to the case by sliding a plastic tab into an arrowhead looking recess, which has a gasket around it to hold the lip of the tab. Fairly sturdy, but the case has twice snapped off the belthook when getting into or out of the car, and once for no reason. (which resulted in a desperate search for my new phone) It really needed a swivel.

This case is great. It fits my htc inspire like a glove. The removeable clip is great. I take it off if i want a smooth case with no attachments and put it back on to clip it on something. The price is great too. - V-shield - Belt Case - Htc Inspire 4g - Holster Case Htc Inspire'

Droid Car Mount - dock, car mount

This is the best car mount available for the Droid. It securely holds the phone in place and it's incredibly fast and easy to dock and undock -- you don't have to make any cumbersome adjustments or worry about accidentally pressing a button (sliding-arm one-size-fits-all mounts can trigger the camera button.) It can mount on the dash or windshield, rotates to support both horizontal and vertical orientations, and it has a magnet to trigger "car mode". It even allows access to the slide-out keyboard. The cheaper generic mounts just don't compare.

Why 4 stars? Well, If I had to say one bad thing about the mount, it's that you still have to plug the phone in to a USB car charger. It would be nice if you could plug in the dock instead, but it's a minor issue. The port on the phone is still easy to access.

Well worth the $30. Motorola DROID 1st Generation Vehicle Dock with Rapid Car Charger (Retail Packaging)

When attached to the windshield I experienced some vibration at highway speeds that made the screen very difficult to read. However, I attached it to the dash (using the included suction/sticky pad) and have not had any issues with vibration since. The phone is very easy to get in and out of the cradle, but is held firmly in place while locked in.

The magnetic sensor in the phone automatically detects that the phone is in the car dock and brings up the GPS navigation without having to touch a single button. The cradle still allows for use of the 3.5mm headphone jack as well as the charging slot, making it great for use as a "satellite" radio (Streaming Pandora or Slacker) and GPS unit all in one.

The unit can be adjusted to be used from pretty much any angle or mounting point. The twist clamps used to lock in the angles are very secure and do not move about once tightened.

Very good buy, do not hesitate.

Info on Car-Mode:

This mount simply has a small magnet mounted in the base-plate where it trips a relay in the back of your Droid phone. You can buy an equivalent magnet for pocket change at places like Micheal's or Hobby Lobby.

To check it to yourself, do this: get a fridge magnet, put it on the back of your Droid, and push it just to one side the center, staying on the L-R center-line on the back of the phone while you have it in Landscape mode. The phone pops into "Car" mode when the magnet is facing the proper way way, otherwise it will pop into Media Mode. Flip the magnet over, and it will go from Car into "Media Dock" mode and vice versa. Warning: Do not use a super strong magnet as it may damage the phone; you only need one that "just enough" to work through whatever protective cover you use.

Basic Info:

Most of the reviews here cover the basic functionality of the mount, and I have little to disagree with them. It fits the phone, and holds it in a good visible place. However mounting on the windshield glass means you get vibrations even in a Lexus. This is due to the design and plastic construction of the mount, so rating of 4 to start.

Issues:

The power supply still must be plugged in externally from a separate cord, instead of integrated like a true docking mount. Similar problems exist for sound cables, although I have a BlueTooth kit in my car for Music and Phone. Its enough to drop the rating from a 4 to a 3.

The biggest issue for me is: If you have a protective cover you will have problems with this mount. I own the "Body Glove Snap-On Cover for Motorola DROID A855", and have removed the belt mount tab to make it much slimmer. If you have that or similar covers, you will not be able to use this mount unless you remove the cover every time. For me, this makes this mount a non-starter. Spending a couple minutes prying the Bodyglove off and then snapping it back on every time I enter or leave the car is simply too much inconvenience. That drops it from a 3 to a 2 rating.

Summary: If you do not use a protective cover on your Droid, and can live with the power cable hanging on your car dash, have an integrated blue-tooth system for your car audio system, and take the care to mount this on the dash instead of the windshield, then this is a decent mount for you. If not, then see below for my alternative.

If you want a protection-friendly car-mode mount for your Droid you can make one yourself:

1) Buy a generic (non-Droid specific) mount into which your droid will fit in its normal configuration. WARNING: Be careful about where the bottom and top of the mount touch the phone in "landscape mode" - most inexpensive adjustable mounts will mash the volume controls on top, and on the bottom they will block the micro-USB power supply port. On the sides, they will cover the power switch or block the audio jack.

2) Get a thin small magnet at a hobby store, make sure it triggers the mount mode through your case.

3) Orient it properly (flip it and position it) to trigger Car Mode. Then super-glue it to the proper place on the mount where it will hit the right place on the back of your Droid when your phone is mounted.

There you have it: a "Droid Car Mode" mount that fits the phone without having to take off your Bodyglove.

EDIT: 3/13 Update - A friend got a Seidio case with holster, and the Seidio car mount. I tried out the mount, and its great -- good enough that I went ahead and bought all 3 from Seidio. Nice thing is the holster and cr mount all fit fine with the case on. (If you want more info, see my and other people's review on Seidio gear). - Motorola Droid - Car Mount - Dock - Droid'

Battery Charger - adapter, apple

I broke the small, collapsible plug-in for my Macbook power brick and feared I would need to buy a whole new power supply. I found this replacement on-line and immediately jumped at buying it. It was shipped quickly and it turns out the part is the exact item Apple must use in shipping the power bricks furnished with their computers. The cast part identification writing on the plastic cover is exactly the same as my original connector. And of course it fits and works perfectly. I can't imagine what the reviewer did who trashed this item as a cheap, poorly made part...my experience is that this is a wonderful solution to an easily damaged connector and the vendor asks an extremely reasonable price and delivers as promised. I couldn't be happier! Apple AC Wall Adapter

Somewhere along the way in my travels, I lost the wall plug part of my MacBook Pro power supply. You can use the full length cord, of course, but this is cumbersome when you don't need an extra six feet of power cord so I wanted a replacement wall plug. This seems to fill the bill. It fits the power supply exactly the same as the original Apple part and powers/charges the MacBook just fine.

Shipping and handling charges seemed very high ($4.99 for an item with a one cent price) but I guess that's where they make their money. And shipping was much faster than I expected. The item arrived a full two weeks before the estimated delivery date. I do wish the vendor would ship multiple units for a single shipping charge, as I'd like to have a couple of spares but don't want to spend $5.00 for each one.

Ordered this item, used it on my Apple AC adapter. Since it didn't fit very well (also was another tone of white as described by other negative reviews) I tried to remove it and broke it in the process. Poor quality, false advertising (not an Apple part) and non-functional! DO NOT BUY!

I used this for my MacBook Pro adapter for two days and suddenly the notebook wasn't charging. I took a close look at this plug and found out that the folding part broke! It works when I hold it against the outlet but as soon as I let go, the thing gets loose and disconnected!

I wasn't happy when I took it out from the box because it didn't match the white color of MacBook Pro's adapter. The plug was a bit gray in color. Now I really regret buying this. I'm also very annoyed that I have to go through all that return process... I will NEVER buy this product again.

seller advertises "Apple AC Wall Adapter" but the product is not Apple, it is a cheap quality imitation. There is visible glue used to attach the pieces of the item. Product is dirty. We are very disappointed.

Wouldn't be so bad if it just didn't work. However, the opening that slides over your adaptor is too small, and it broke the little plastic tab off, so now I have to buy a whole new power supply. I even super glued the tab back on, smeared Vaseline on the adaptor slot, but same result. A very expensive $2.50!

I saw alot of reviews that said that the replacement duck heads did not fit exactly (their edges did not match the edges of the batteries, etc) so I was very pleased when these fit perfectly and looked identical to the originals. Great price!!! Great fit! - Power Adapter - Apple - Ac - Adapter'

Battery Charger - 18v, charger

This charger has worked very well. I even left a weak older battery on it for a trickle charge for a couple of days with the light blinking (indicating a weak batter.) then I removed the battery and replaced it and let it attempt to charge at the normal level, and no more weak battery indicator. And yes, the battery was weak, it wasn't a faulty diagnosis the first time. DEWALT DC9310 7.2 -Volt-18 -Volt 1 Hour Charger

I have used this product for about a month now and I am impressed by the Performance and Design of this Dewalt battery charger. It's a plus that I can and do, now charge and maintain all my Dewalt and Black & Decker Pod Style batteries from 7.2 volt, all the way up to 18 volt. Which means I'll be able to up grade my cordless tools for a long time to come. Thanks.!!!!!

I've always been satisfied with the performance of my 18V Black & Decker Cordless Drill. Of course my biggest gripe is that unless you use them fairly frequently when you have the need after several months of sitting idle ALL NiCad batteries will go flat and need charging prior to use. I guess that's the price you pay for cordless convenience. Long story short...needed to use the drill, needed to charge the battery first, found the charger, stored securely in the case, suddenly wasn't working. What the heck??!! How can a battery charger that has seen absolutely no abuse, that has been stored properly suddenly and inexplicitly stop working?

Went online in search of a B&D replacement part and had a dickens of a time finding one until I came across the DeWalt which will work with the type of B&D battery I have. Based on reviews such as this one I ordered it through Amazon, received it quickly, and have been very pleased with it ever since. Superior to the B&D charger it replaced in every way. Much better construction, indicators that tell you the battery status, can leave the battery in the charger so that it's always ready(couldn't do that with the charger that it replaced) and if you decide to not leave the battery on charge long term it only takes an hour or less to be ready to go. The fact that the DeWalt charger can handle a range of battery voltages(7.2V-18V) is a plus if you have more than one voltage range in that style of battery, which I don't.

Based on my experience with the Dewalt Charger thus far, I can highly recommend it as a great replacement for anyone needing one for that style of battery. It's certainly superior to the B&D charger it replaced.

I bought this to replace the factory charger I got with my 12-volt B&D Firestorm. I had purchased a DeWalt 12-volt battery to use with the Firestorm and found that it worked well. I figured the DeWalt charger would work on the B&D batteries as well as the DeWalt. According to my research, this DeWalt charger would work with 12, 14.4 and 18 volt battery packs, providing flexibility in case I upgraded in the future.

The charger has successfully re-charged both my 12-volt batteries. It did not want to charge the DeWalt... it was far more discharged than the B&D battery. But I removed and re-inserted the "dead" battery in the charger a couple of times and finally the charger accepted and recharged the battery.

I am pleased with this unit so far.

Bought this to charge Black & Decker Firestorm batteries (PS130 / 12V) and (PS140 / 14.4V) and it works brilliantly. Doesn't burn out the first time you use it and actually charges the batteries (that Black & Decker's own chargers wouldn't).

I will never buy Black & Decker tools again and am a convert to DeWalt quality. It's DeWalt, Rigid and Ryobi for me from now on.

I am very unhappy with Max Tool. Bought this charger from Max Tool through Amazon. I purposely paid an additional $10 ($49) to get one that would be factory sealed and with the 1 year factory warranty. That was the writeup from Max Tool. I got what everyone else got only they got the lower price of $39.00, which was the charger thrown in a box with plain paper. Not sealed, no factory packaging no warranty. I don't advise that you purchase from MaX Tool.

This product revived my uncharagble damaged batteries. i bought this based on other reviews telling me that it had charged bztteries that had lost a cell. it works, try thisbefore you buy new batteries

I am VERY pleased with the DeWalt DC9310!

It works fast and it salvaged two VERY OLD, completely-drained, batteries (out of the three that I had).

I did not think any of them would take a charge again. My original charger was not able to restore them to a point of even taking a charge, but the DC9310 really did the job! - Dewalt Battery - Battery Charger - Charger - 18v'

Warning to any potential buyers of this watch from amazon. I purchased this item less than 2 months ago and this $1400 watch stopped working. Amazon refused to issue a full refund as one has only 6 weeks to claim a full refund. i also found out that amazon is not an authorized dealer so the factory warranty does not apply. all amazon offers is a limited warranty which is lousy in my opinion. so even though this high priced item is not working after 7 weeks, amazon refuses to even replace it.

so i caution everyone to think twice before purchasing such items from this pretend customer oriented company. Baume & Mercier Men's 8070 Classima Yellow-Gold Watch

An superb purchase. Excelent watch, fine, clean, in 18 kt yellow gold. Regards from México.

I was looking for a light, simple, sophisticated watch and this is it. I stopped wearing a watch because I dont like anything on my writs but this watch is very light and easy to wear. It is exactly how it looks in the picture (not sure why others have said it doesnt). The dial is a bit on the small side. Understated elegance.

Ordered this watch 3 days ago, and received it this morning! (Used free super saving shipping, but the item shipped next day.)

The price is great, just half of the full price. The lowest price I can find at an authorized retailer is 20% off, plus tax.

Amazon's customer service issued me a price adjustment, when the price dropped some $120 from the date I ordered the watch. (Although Amazon has officially terminated the price adjustment policy last year.)

The watch looks genuine to me. The craftsmanship is nice. The pattern of the watch face is not exactly the same as shown in Amazon's picture, but instead it is the same as the picture shown in B&M's official website and catalog.

When I got the watch, it was even showing the Swiss time!

Overall, a very nice shopping experience. 5 Stars. - Sleek - Swiss'

Camera Straps - neckstrap, digital slr

There are two versions of the excellent camera strap. There's this one and then there's the Op/Tech Pro Camera Strap 3/8" - Black.

There are two differences (besides cost).

This strap is considerably shorter. To my mind you can always make the longer strap shorter but once you've let this one out all the way that's all there is. I'm 6'3" and with this strap let out all the way I can sort of comfortably carry a camera over my shoulder. If I want to put the strap over my head it is very uncomfortable.

The shorter strap uses a loop through attachment while with the longer strap you need to thread the strap through your camera eyelet and then the strap buckle. I purchased the shorter strap (not realizing how short it was) for the convenience of the loop attachment. After buying the longer strap I've found that threading the strap isn't that much less convenient.

My suggestion would be to buy the other, longer strap unless you are certain the additional length will not come in handy. Either way, these are extremely comfortable straps.

Additional details about the length difference:

One strap has a max length of 46" and the other a bit over 56". The difference is the length of the two attachment pieces that connect either end of your camera to the center strap. The shorter strap comes with these: Op/Tech System Connector #9 Uni Adapter Loop, 10.5" - 13.5" (26,7 CM - 34,3 CM) each side and the longer one with these: OP/TECH USA System Connectors 3/8" (9,525mm) - Carrying strap connector - black (pack of 2 ). You can see that by going to any of the larger camera store sites and reviewing the details listed there about the two straps. Just google: "Op/Tech 1501372" and then "Op/Tech 1501012" to do searches on the two different straps mentioned in this review.

I found this out the hard way, by ordering the shorter strap without knowing the difference. I "fixed" it by ordering both the longer version of the strap and an extra set of extensions.

BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews can take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've received from other reviewers and work hard to return the favor as best as I can. I hope you found this review helpful and if there was anything you thought was lacking or unclear leave a comment and I'll do what I can to fix it. OP/TECH 1501372 Pro Loop Strap for Camera Equipment (Black)

This is a great strap. I find the padding to be very, very comfortable and far better the strap that came with my Canon DSLR. Another viewer mentioned it was too short, but I actually had to adjust it quite a bit to make it shorter (I'm 5'5"), so I don't think anyone under 6" would have any problems with it. Realize too that this is part of the Op/Tech system, which means that you can unhook the connectors which grasp the camera, and replace with other Op/Tech connectors (such as the Super Pro A). Why would you want to do this? Well if you use a Canon and certain film cameras (such as Hasselblad or Bronica), the cameras have different hardware for connecting with straps. For example, the connector on this strap will not connect with a Hasselblad or Bronica (but they will connect with most other cameras, including Canon so don't worry). So instead of having different straps that fit different cameras, you can just buy the connectors and click them on and interchange on this one strap.

I replaced my OEM Nikon strap with this one. It is very comfortable and distrubutes the weight nice. I like that it has a bit of stretch and snap back, I can wrap it up in my arm and help to stabalize my hand-held shots. I also like that you can take the large porion of the strap off and clip the ends together. This give you a hand strap that is adjustable. You still need to wrap it and such. I usually have part of it come over and under the front left and wrap my wrist, again, helping me to stabalize my shots.

It slings on the shoulder nice and does not slip off. I often carry it like this at the zoo, or park. It's more and accessible this way vs. around my neck. Also it gets more comfy this way too.

I bought this for my Canon G6, which is almost the size and weight of a full-fledged SLR. This is a great strap. It is well made, the design of the loops allows use on cameras with small eyelets, the strap easily falls away from the camera body while shooting so it's not in your way, and the strap itself distributes the weight over a large area so your shooting fatigue-free for hours. Highly recommended. Wish I bought it about 10 years ago!

I'll just add a few comments since most of the others have given the good points. First, I'm 6'2" and have no problem with the length - the camera could hang down to my waist. The only reason it could be too short is if you put the strap over your head to hang it from your shoulder. But the strap has such good cling that just hanging it off your shoulder is quite safe and much more comfortable.

I also like that the big strap is detachable. But more importantly I like that the male and female ends on the clips will mate on the camera attachments straps. Other brands miss this trick. This make a small carry handle which is useful and doesn't get in the way when I work on a tripod or if I'm just going to keep the camera in the bag. You can then keep the big strap out of your camera bag when you're not going to use it.

It's too short. If they would add about a foot, foot and a half adjustability to it (make it longer), it would be great. Had to retire it after one hiking trip because I couldn't sling my camera in the most comfortable position for me.

I bought this strap to pair with my commonly used R-Strap, a shoulder sling strap that attaches to the tripod mount. I needed a strap with quick-release strips so I didn't have to spend 10 minutes just to change between the two. Unfortunately, the remaining cords left on either side of the camera when you remove the padded portion of the strap are so long that they just get in the way.

Having six inch cords hanging from your camera when you're walking around with it at your side is just plain irritating. Even worse, when use the camera on the tripod in any sort of wind, the wind catches them and can add a small amount of movement to your shot, a real issue during a night shoot when a small amount of movement over 30 seconds results in a blurred subject.

As to the comfort of the strap itself, it is nicely padded and stayed on my neck without any issues, but I found the claims of some of the reviewers here that the strap halved the weight of your camera to be overblown. If you don't plan on making use of the quick-release, then I'd recommend it to you. I, however, am returning it and looking for another strap that won't leave half of itself behind when removed. - Neckstrap - Photography - Strap - Digital Slr'

Ipod Nano Watch Band

I have decided to review this product, since there are no other reviews worth reading, and since it is actually a fairly good buy. The choice can be difficult, because on average this product is more expensive than the other running docks for your ipod.

Firstly, let me say that I have only had mine for a day. I have the 6th Gen Nano. So, I cannot give any feedback at this stage regarding how this product will wear. I will try to remember to return in a month or two's time and post an update. Also, time from buy to receive was about a week, so I cant identify with the other comment about the lack of shipping.

- The product looks good, and is essentially exactly how it looks in the photo. The Nano fits pretty much perfectly. However, if you have a silicone cover on your nano it will NOT fit.

- It is easy to get the nano in and out, and because of the clip on the nano, when its in, it is secure, and therefore wont fall off the watch. This means its not the kind of "cover" where once its in, its in forever.

- The screen of the nano can be easily rotated to have the clock face, and the menu etc interface in the orientation you desire.

- The headphone jack of the nano points UP YOU ARM when the ipod is docked. I find this to be quite convenient as I use mine for running, and therefore want the cable pointing up my arm

- NB one: The docking platform between the two straps is PLASTIC (not metal). I believe this will have pro's and con's, given that plastic will wear better with the sweat, but may not last as long. Potential concern here. However, the plastic does appear sturdy, so will let you know how it goes.

- The size of the watch strap, and the holes make it possible to fit almost all size arms. I am a fairly big guy, and it fits me comfortably. However, if you have mammoth wrists, you may run into trouble.

Post comments, and I will try to answer them. All in all, a good product that is (imho) freaking cool.

UPDATE: March 10:

I have been using the product for about a month and a half. I used a small file to round the edges of the platic platform onto which the ipod attaches, as they were quite sharp and snagged on sweaters etc. My ipod fits snuggly into the platform, and doesn't move around. The plastic platform still looks good.

The silicone straps dont show any signs of wear yet, and I use my strap principally for running, so the straps receives a lot of sweat. Btw, if you use for running, get yourself a set of these babies: Sennheiser Adidas PMX 680 Sports Earbud Headphone with Volume control & Neckband. They are incredible, and dont move an inch when you run. iWatchz CLRCHR22BLK Q Collection Wrist Strap for iPod Nano 6G

I had always thought that a small mp3 player could always be worn best on the wrist. Clipping it to a band or cuffing it to your bicep wasn't always the most comfortable, secure fit. Obviously, the market wasn't out there for this idea until the 6G Ipod Nano came along. Before, the small size pretty much limited the total song capacity to about two, and there was no option to securely fasten the player to the wrist anyway- they were still too bulky.

This Nano, with its optional clock display-was made for this wristband (and vice versa). I got this watchband as a gift for my wife after getting her the Ipod for Christmas. The fit is tight and secure. The instructions are nonexistent- if you need to adjust the bands to facilitate positioning the Ipod (to not only display correctly but to have the headphone jack positioned correctly as well, you will have to study the pieces and intuit what needs to be done. Not a problem for me- but I am smart:)

In the end, with a little extra effort on my part swapping the bands around- this turned into an appreciated gift. My wife wears the Ipod daily as a watch. All that is needed is to plug in the headphones and the Ipod reverts back to its original purpose- only secured to the wrist (the headphones are positioned to run up inside shirt sleeves, helping to keep the cords from flaying around wildly when working out).

So yes, this is a very good product. No instructions in this case won't merit a mark down because any adjustments are easy to figure out and don't require extra parts/tools to accomplish. Once adjusted (and this may not be necessary for you) this watchband is well-made and obviously manufactured to fit the Ipod securely and attractively. This product complements the Ipod so well I expect Apple will come out with something similar to it, soon.

The part that holds the nano is flimsy and poorly made.

Problem one: very rough edge that hangs out beyond the nano.

Problem two: the whole band depends on one very thin piece of plastic underneath the nano. The piece broke after about 2 months of daily use.

The bad was great and very comfortable, but the piece that holds the nano is terrible.'

Freshwater Pearls

These earrings arrived "lightening fast", and were very well packaged in a sturdy small mailing box, within which was a nice blue gift box, within which was a blue velour drawstring bag containing the earrings. The earrings look just as I expected. They are a ivory/white color and have a pearly sheen to them, which you can't really see in the example photo. (Pearls can have an irridescence look to them. ) I bought this set on Gold Box special for around $20, and they are more than worth it. The shape of each pearl i recieved is close to perfect, and there are just a few very tiny flaws (little "dents") in the surface that are so miniscule I had to look really close-up to even find them. The diameter of my pearls is 6.5 mm , which is almost exactly the diameter of the end of a standard pencil eraser. I have med-sized earlobes for a 5'2" person, and I think these pearls are proportioned nicely for my face - even are a tiny bit larger than I might have thought to buy in person. The posts are a generous length too, which is good becuase they will poke me in the head if I go to sleep and forget to take them off ! I wish i could have bought 3 sets (extras for gifts), but the particular sale only allowed one set per person... 14k Yellow Gold 6.5-7mm Akoya Pearl Stud Earrings

I do love these pearls! Like a previous reviewer said, I too noticed small nicks in the pearls. They aren't perfect but when you are wearing them, nobody will see the imperfections. Besides, it seems mine are mounted so the imperfections face toward the stud. For the price, I'd recommend them.

The earrings are pretty, 14K gold cup holders have nice Akoya pearls at the front. Good sheen and lustre and a nice round shape. These are the size of petite peas and were a little small for my taste, as I usually wear very large stud earrings. These look tiny on my ears but were a little too big for my kid. So I may just gift them to someone else. By the way, Amazon's shipping is fast but it was blazing fast this time...I ordered these earrings on Feb 21st evening and they arrived Feb 22nd at 11:30 AM traveling from KY to GA. I was stunned!

I bought the earrings for my niece. The earrings look pretty from distance. The Akoya pearls are definitely more lustrous than other pearls. But it is easy to see the blemishes and dents on the pearls.

These are very pretty earrings and nicer than I had expected. They look good with casual or dressy. They are comfortable to wear on my ears. All in all I would order more this size of something else or another color.

I bought these for a mother-of pearl and gold pendant I already had, and they resulted the perfect combination! They are a very nice size, the pearls have a subtle sheen and the posts are gold, so no problem for sensitive ears! I got these through a gold box deal from Amazon for only $19.99, so I couldn't be happier. Great value for the price!

This was a gift, very sweet since I've been wearing plastic pearls for 2 years. They are small (6mm) so if you are looking for more of an impact, go larger. Both of mine are blemished, not badly, but not prestine as in the picture. Nice size/gift for a younger girl. Maybe someday I'll have AAA 8.5's, but for now these are fine.'

Blackberry Storm - blackberry storm 9530, 9530

I really was hesitant about buying this skin, but since it was made by B'Berry and the price was low, I thought I'd give it a shot.

It's a fantastic protective device for my phone.

It's very soft and not somewhat tacky like other silicone products can be. It fits perfectly and even has little nodules where the buttons on the phone are so that you can still tell where that pesky button is underneath the skin.

Don't understand the complaints about the thickness, the skin is meant to protect the phone not bulletproof it. I find the thickness adequate for the function of the product. Better yet, it offers a much more solid grip of the phone than without the skin.

Hope this helps you decide. Blackberry Storm Black Rubberized Skin Original

This is the actual silicon case from Blackberry. Its nice, soft and does provide some protection. It fits the device pretty well and is easy to remove. I wish were just a little more rugged than it is, but it works just fine. I can access all the external buttons just fine. It looks good on the phone.

Shipped fast and case fits great. This is my 2nd Storm because I dropped the first one on hardwoods without a case and it immediately stopped working. I've dropped the 2nd one a couple of times but the case seems to give it a little bit of protection above making the casing not nearly as slippery.

This fits the Storm2 like a glove and it feels good in my hand. The skin is soft and gives the phone a little traction so that it doesn't slide across surfaces or out of my hand as easily. It is still easy to use the butotns on the phone and there is an opening for the side port so it can charge without takng the skin off. There is an extra opening on the back of the skin (there is also an opening for the camera lens) which I'm guessing may be used with a charging pad??

The addition of the skin makes for a tight fit in the OEM case. I suspect after a year or so either the skin will strecth out (it stretches a little everytime it is pushed into the case) or the OEM case will pull appart at the stitching.

If you're like me, you love to read reviews before you buy something but just want to get to the bottom line. So here it is:

Basic case for low cost. It's not an otterbox so it won't cushion a drop from a second floor window, but it provides enough protection for your everyday drops. Remember to buy a clear screen protector as well, since this provides no screen protection. It also provides basic spill protection in that it won't let water get to the battery immediately (tip: always disconnect your battery immediately after a spill and place your phone without the battery or battery cover on it submerged in a bowl of dry rice for two days. It is likely to survive!). If you need something very tough to protect against the elements, this is not the cover for you. If you need a skin to cushion from low drops or minor spills, this should do the trick!

Works great, fits well, doesn't add bulk.

Two complaints:

The sides don't completely cover the silver borders (minute, yet really irritating for me)

The volume buttons are almost flush with the rubber surface making it hard to discern between the two without looking - Accessories - Blackberry Storm 9530 - Cell Phone Cover - 9530'
