Unfortunately this case wasn't exactly designed for the iPad to still be functional. The four straps that hold the iPad to the leather case block very important parts of the iPad. Personally, I'm a little lost as to why so many people are giving this such glowing reviews. I got this case shortly before going on an international trip to keep our new iPad safe on our travels. Shipping was horribly slow, but thankfully finally arrived just before we left.
While the case isn't horrible, it is very cheaply made IMHO. It just doesn't feel very good when holding it, and certainly doesn't seem like it would give you much protection from a fall. As soon as we got back from our trip, we sent this case back.
If you just want something to keep the dust off, maybe this will work for you. However, if you want something that's actually protective or matches the build quality of your ipad, keep looking. - Ipad - Case - Ipad Cover - Apple Ipad'
