Bluetooth Keyboard - mac, apple

I recently purchased an iPad and it became pretty clear that if I wanted to use it for "intense" data entry, I would need a dedicated keyboard. I looked at the keyboard dock that the iPad plugs into, but it didn't really appeal to me--I don't necessarily want the iPad to be sitting up like that, or have to be sitting on a flat surface so that it doesn't fall over. I also liked that since this is a bluetooth keyboard, I can technically use it anywhere--with all my other computers, my media computer, etc.

When I first handled the keyboard, I was amazed at just how light this thing is. It barely feels like anything at all. But what is most impressive is that despite its light weight, it does not feel flimsy or weak at all. Trying to bend it with two hands does nothing--it is incredibly sturdy and solidly built.

Its size is also a huge plus--especially since I am looking at using this primarily on the go. It is about as small as a keyboard can be, without making the keys uncomfortably small. If you've ever typed on a MacBook Pro recently (the "chicklet" keys), it feels pretty much like that. Within minutes, I was finding it very easy to type without errors. (In fact, this review is being typed using the keyboard!)

The price could be lower, but honestly, I am very pleased with the feel of this keyboard and the ease of which it was to set up and begin using immediately. It doesn't feel like something you're worried about throwing into a bag and having it snap or crack, or keys pop off, etc.

Finally, if you are planning on buying this to use with an iPad, it works great with it. A lot of the "mac specific" keys work here too--the volume keys, brightness (which works across all apps, which is an added bonus), and of course the music controls work as well. Apple Wireless Keyboard (Retail Packaging)

I love Apple products, but must run a Windows 7 system for professional reasons. I greatly envied my daughter's Apple keyboard, and a Bing search indicated that the Apple keyboard would work fine with Windows. Well, it does. There are a few Windows specific keys missing, and a few Mac specific keys that don't do much on this keykboard, but really all the keys that almost all Windows users will want are right here. The keyboard installed on my desktop Windows machine in seconds as a Bluetooth device, and works flawlessly. I had no setup issues whatever. None.

The keyboard itself is a beautiful, minimalist device, but nonetheless constitutes a full-sized keyboard, albeit without the numeric pad. Despite the fact that I am a power touch typist, I have never once used the numeric pad on any keyboard, so I appreciate the notion of giving up the numeric pad in exchange for having a smaller device on the desktop. Not everyone will agree, of course. Also missing are the delete key and the printscreen key. I admit that I miss the delete key, but the destructive backspace key is an adequate substitute.

The keyboard seems to be just the right size for my hands (I am not a big guy) and although it is not one of the curved "ergonomic" keyboards, I find myself quite comfortable typing continuously with this keyboard. The keys themselves have a nice solid feel; most typists will like the feel of these keys.

I like the fact that this keyboard uses readily-available AA batteries. It shuts off when not in use, and springs to life instantly upon the touch of a key. Very good design.

Highly recommended for anyone who does not mind eschewing the numeric keypad, the delete key and printscreen. RJB.

I love this keyboard. I've been using it since it came out (thanks amazon for having pre-orders!).

I didn't want to get the previous version (I was hoping they would give us a keyboard with the number pad, but I finally gave in and grabbed this one).

They say it will last about 9 months (battery life). I hope it does and I can't wait to test that out fully (I will keep coming back to comment).

My situation:

I'm using this bluetooth keyboard with my macbook pro connected to my LCD tv.

I'm sitting on my couch, with the keyboard on my lap (actually the keyboard box is on my lap, the keyboard sitting on top of it (slight elevation).

I've used it since it came out and I have no regrets. The keys have a nice touch to them (sort of a textured feel that just feels good on the fingers) and it's very easy to get your work done.

I keep the box on my lap and keyboard on top of the box.

This serves 2 functions:

Slight elevation (better for the wrists) and when I'm done I can put the keyboard back inside the case (thus keeping dust to a minimum).

Pros:

Nicely designed keyboard with just the right amount of space between the keys (if you used the new thin keyboard from apple, you will fit right in, if you have used any of their laptops, the same applies).

Pairing takes a few seconds (very easy), and couldn't be easier.

The keys have a nice textured feel to them, I love having the function keys and this keyboard really is all you need (it took me a while to see the light, don't let that happen to you, less really is more).

9 month battery life (I can't attest to this right now, but I can say I've had no problems thus far)

Box makes a nice case, and a makshift desk for your living room.

Cons:

No full sized option (though I do like the smaller size and would not want to go back now)

Not as nice as the keyboards on the key laptops (I was really hoping the new keys would be like the ones on the new macbook pros (which I have and love the keyboard), but these are the same keys as from the previous keyboard. (Not really a bad thing, nor a con, but thought I'd bring it up).

Bottom Line?

Couldn't be happier, I highly recommend checking out this keyboard and making it a part of your home. Just be sure to keep your box, it's a nice "case" and "desk". ;) - Mac - Keyboard - Bluetooth - Apple'

Office Supplies - bubble wrap, mailing

So, I won't. I can, however, get excited about the value you'll get on Amazon.

If you need bubble wrap for shipping at a good price, this is a good deal.

Note: Most bubble wrapping will stick to your shipped product if you're sending it across state/country in 100+ degree weather, the product material is susceptible to it (glossy book cover, plastics, etc.)and the barrier between the wrapping and the outside of the shipping container is minimal in thickness. Be aware of this and cover your product with something prior to applying the bubble wrap to ensure your product won't stick to it (i.e. a single layer of wrapping tissue around the product) Scotch Cushion Wrap 7961, 12 Inches x 100 Feet

I got this bubble wrap to pack glassware for moving our house. It's perforated every 12", which makes it easy to tear off sections sized for plates. At the same time it holds together well if you need longer sections. It's the standard-size small bubble wrap with 3/16" bubbles, just right for packing fragile items. If you are packing large heavy items, you might want to get a larger bubble size. I only ordered one 100 foot long pack, thinking it would be plenty for moving our family's glassware, but I ended up needing a second pack. We don't have anywhere close to 100 plates, but I found myself using it for other breakable items like vases and clocks, as well as for items that could be scratched.

The other review pretty much states it all- it's bubble wrap. There's not a lot more to say.

However! If you get free shipping on this, a major plus is that you get a large box (from Amazon) and a medium/small box (from Scotch) with it. Good if you're moving, which you probably are if you're buying bubble wrap.

This bubble wrap is quite a bargain, especially compared to what it costs at a local office supply store. Even though the bubble wrap is in a box, that box is placed in a larger box for shipping...it's like Amazon is throwing in a box for free!

I always buy perforated bubble wrap now - it reduces the time to it takes to wrap items. I occasionally sell things via online auction just to make a few dollars, not as a living. The less time I spend wrapping goods the better.

As a bonus, even though the bubbles are smaller they still make a satisfying popping sound...bubble wrap isn't just for shipping things, it's for stress relief too!

Buy this - free shipping + free box + made in the USA = a great value.

I use this cushion wrap for everything I ship! It is great, and you don't need very much of it to provide great protection for whatever you may be shipping or packing. If you are a seller of any kind I highly recommend this wrap! I like that it is perforated too, makes it really easy to tear of exactly what you need. The price on Amazon, plus free shipping, can't be beat! In my opinion, Scotch brand always means quality and that is precisely what you get with this cushion wrap.

Pros:

It's much like notebook paper in that there is a crease in which you can tear it off, but if you choose not to, it'll still hold. Which allows you to tear off any length you want.

Cons:

It's kind of pricey. I mean it's bubblewrap being shipped to you. If I knew a place that sold this nearby, I probably could have gotten it for cheap.

I bought this particular bubble wrap for two reasons: I wanted a good quality bubble wrap and I wanted a larger quantity. I got both with this wrap. It tears every 12" if needed and the 100 feet box goes far. I got tired of buying the smaller size bags of bubble wrap and only being able to wrap a few small items before the bag was empty. Not a problem with this size. I'll buy this bubble wrap again.

In an effort to streamline my ebay sales (far from being a business, but it has it's busy times), I've recently looked into some shipping implements. I bought a shipping scale (which I love) and after I used up all my spare styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap...I had to buy some more. Bubble wrap seems like an odd thing to review and to be happy about, but this is a great box of bubble wrap. The price is excellent compared to the rolls you can get at other stores, and there actually is a fair amount of bubble wrap as well. I appreciate the fact that it comes in a box instead of a bag, since it helps keep things more orderly.

I'll be buying more of this when I run out! - Shipping - Mailing - Office Supplies - Bubble Wrap'

Networking - wifi, wireless routers

Well, now having the need for a wireless N network I did a bit of research into which router I should buy. After reading so many positive reviews, I kept teetering on whether or not I should try this one out... especially since I hadn't heard of the company and the price point was so low. Eventually I figured "what could it hurt" and ordered it. I immediately got an email from the company thanking me for the order which included the support information if needed. That was a nice touch.

The bottom line is that I'm VERY glad I ordered this. Set up was a breeze if you follow the very simple instructions to the letter. I was up and running in minutes.

My other concern was how well it would sing with my Cisco Wireless N Bridge(The Cisco-Linksys WET610N Dual-Band Wireless-N Gaming and Video Adapter)in my living room which is notoriously finicky with non-Cisco product integration. I'm very pleased to report that it immediately started communicating once set up, and has been rock solid for 3 days streaming Hi Def 720p and 1080p video. The signal strength is fantastic and has out performed other routers I have owned in the past. Time will tell how it holds up over the long run. I will update this post if anything goes awry.

Finally as icing on the cake, the router just looks cool. Thats always a happy bonus!

The only negative I could find is that the tech support line isn't 24 hours. Seeing as how I didn't need it, I suppose that really isn't a negative in the truest sense.

I'm a heavy Amazon user who doesn't even write reviews yet felt compelled to for this gem. A Great product, at a great price, and easy set up. Who could ask for more?

*** EDIT 06/14/11 Wow, there are a ton of comments on my review and I thought it would be a good idea to chime in again. Here we are about 8 months after my purchase and the router is still going strong. I have noticed that there was some signal degradation about 3 months in, but I changed the broadcast channel and it cleared up. Whether that was a fix or coincidence I don't know. As far as I can remember it only dropped once and I had to reset it. Not sure what people are expecting, but I thought (and still think) I got fantastic bang for the buck. And to answer some of the people implying I somehow work for the company that makes or markets it: I absolutely do not! I just was pleasantly surprised and wanted to share. Medialink - Wireless N Router - 802.11n - 150 Mbps - 2.4 Ghz - NEW Design w/ Internal Antenna

I have to admit I was nervous about buying something that doesn't have a huge name behind it. I've dealt with plenty of routers in my time and some of them are so confusing to configure, and caused so many headaches. When I opened the box I was greeted by a small, light-weight, sleek looking box...I have to say that I was really excited about the internal antenna, those old parallel antenna were the worst thing to look at. Being the typical computer guy I am I didn't really read through the directions, I just grabbed it and plugged it in. I reset the modem, then reset the router (by power cycling, not the reset button on the back) and.......it worked. I logged into the web interface and set up the Wifi security, grabbed my laptop to connect to it and.....it worked.

The wireless N is a thing of beauty for someone that has been stuck with G for so long, it's fast and has great coverage, I was able to get a stronger signal outside than before.

The web interface is very nicely laid out and there are a ton of features

Pros:

Quick setup

very nice looking

lights are not too bright, even though there are a lot of them

internal antenna

affordable

Cons:

no Gig ports

included cat5 cable could be a little longer.

things to note:

I didn't use the included setup disc

I have cable internet and use an older Linksys cable modem.

I was a little hesitant to order this router since there was no other review, but the price was lower than other wireless G routers, so I thought I would give this N router a try. So far, I am glad I did. I am writing this review from my laptop using the wireless connection right now.

PROS:

-Price (paid $[...] on 10/2/2010)

-Easy setup. The wired connection was instant, all I had to do was plug the cables. The wireless connection was also a breeze and took two minutes with the included CD wizard.

-Speed! My local network connection is 100Mbps, so I selected this router which is slightly faster (150Mbps wireless / 100Mbps wired) in order to avoid bottlenecks. I am getting download speeds ~0.9 MBytes / second wired and ~ 1.1MBbytes / second wireless with this router, i.e. as fast as I was getting when plugged directly to the network.

-Streams movies without problems.

CONS:

No problems so far. If you like solving problems you may be disappointed.

I have had this router for less than a day, which is not long enough to know if it is stable, but so far so good. I have not tried VOIP yet, but I will update if any problems arise.

UPDATE: VOIP works without problems too. I have had the router for 5 days and still no problems. It performs so well, I have almost forgotten it is there.

I took a chance on this a few months ago, when it was relatively new and had fewer reviews. The company emailed me a few days after ordering to thank me and inform me how I could receive assistance if I needed it.

Well, I haven't needed it. In fact, this router is about as "plug-and-play" as a USB drive or mouse. I didn't even follow the Quick Start instructions...I just plugged it in and it worked right away! I previously had a Linksys B router which would drop the connection about once or twice a night. However, the MediaLink router has worked perfectly for months...I haven't lost the connection once! This router will seriously compete with the big boys, and for the price, it is an incredible value.

Pros:

+ Very, very easy to set up

+ Perfect signal anywhere in my apartment

+ Has worked continuously with NO LOST CONNECTIONS in two months

+ Looks very sleek

+ Fantastic price

+ Friendly customer service, although with how well the router works, I may not ever have to contact them again...

Cons:

- This is a STRETCH, but the blue lights on the router are a bit bright...it may distract you in a dark environment. However, I am never in the same room as the router, so I do not care at all.

Note: I use a Toshiba Windows 7 laptop, which is the only device that utilizes the router. I haven't tested it with multiple machines or with my Wii or anything.

(Also, I've noticed some people responding to other 5 star reviews with accusations that the reviewers work for the makers of the router. Not sure what their agenda is (Linksys employees/fanboys?), but for the record, I do not work for Mediabridge Products, LLC, nor do I know anyone who works for them. I am not receiving any compensation or other such benefits for writing this review, either. I am really impressed with this product, and I rely on reviews before making any online purchase, so I thought I'd contribute.) - Wifi - Router - Wireless Routers - Wireless Router'

Recipricating Saw - electric, black and decker

This product is comparable to the Stanley 20-045 15-Inch Fat Max Hand Saw and works just as well, but has a protective cover on it and is of course longer. It works great on small trees and branches, cutting them with no problem. I bought this and a bow saw and much prefer this to to the bow saw so far. It's a great quality product for a great price. Stanley 20-047 20-Inch Blade Length x 9 Points Per Inch FatMax Saw with Blade Armor Coating

The Stanley 20-047 deserves its excellent feedback. The slick blade coating really works and is surprisingly durable. My son told me that his work crew used to used Stanley saws with hardened teeth to cut wood forms coated with concrete dust. He said the handles fell apart after months of use before the teeth ever got dull.

I was ignorant about modern saw technology when I bought the Stanley saw. I now realize that some saws made by other manufacturers have most of features Stanley offers on the FatMax. Stanley itself makes a variety of saws, and not all have the same features. Amazon frequently changes the prices of its products. It might be worth your time to see the prices & features of Nicholson, Great Neck, Pony, Irwin and other brands. You will have a hard time finding the thick blade of the FatMax. But you can find the special-ground hardened teeth and anti-friction coatings.

The Stanley 20-047 is advertised as a timber saw. I don't know what they mean by that expression. I think that some people call construction lumber "timbers." Maybe that's what Stanley means. I need saws to cut fire wood. Sap stuck to the saw's slick, black coating, when cutting Arizona Cypress. (Nothing else has stuck to it so far.) I lubricated the coating with kerosene. The kerosene dissolved the sap. The kerosene does not appear to damage the anti-friction coating. I am surprised that the black coating has only worn away from the tips of the teeth even after hundreds of cuts. The rigid blade outperforms several other new hand saws since it doesn't bend on the push-stroke. To get acceptable performance from my other saws, I have to lubricate the blades & cut only on the pull-stroke.

Have used this saw on several projects and have really been very impressed with its performance! Feels great in your hand and the saw blade is extremely rigid so it doesn't bend or bind up on you. I can cut through treated 4X4s in no time and provides a nice clean cut. Cuts through 2X4s really quick! The saw is very smooth and glides through the wood really well. I was worried that using a 9 PPI saw would leave a rugged cut but it is not the case at all. All steel, with protective coating construction, really helps when using it up here in the northwest with all this rain. This is my favorite hand saw! Mens Multivitamin - vitamins

Great product, will be ordering double on my next time. I felt a difference energy wise within at least 3-4 days time. I'm 36, and my doctor told me that I needed at least 1000 units of calcium, 1 pill does it, but according to my doctor as well as reading in Mens Health, 3000 units per day should be the max, so I take 3 pills per day. The bottle recommended dosage is 2 to 4 per day, so my 3 pills per day are right in between. GREAT PRODUCT. Rainbow Light Men's Organic Multivitamin, 120 Vegetarian Capsules

I got these vitamins for my husband because I take the woman's product. They make you feel great! I noticed a big difference when I started taking them and we both like the vitamin. My trainer read the bottle and is now taking them! Can't beat the price!

Have been using this product for 3 months and am very impressed. I believe the organic fruit and vegetable base in it help to bring your body's acid level down, which is increased by consuming too many refined foods, including those found in a typical American diet. It contains 3 herbs to support Liver function, which is good if you enjoy the occasional glass of wine or a couple of beers every now and then. I also feel it has helped my immunity significantly. I am a college student, and I've had some rough weeks turning in multiple research assignments and not getting a lot of sleep. Surprisingly, I didn't catch any colds during those times. So overall, I highly recommend this product to fill in any nutritional gaps you may have.-

After using these for about a month now, I can tell a difference when I forget to take them. I don't like that I have to take 4 a day, but I do like the ingredients, so it's worth it to me. Food based vitamins will always cost more than synthetic ones, and I'm ok with that, since synthetic vitamins do nothing for the human body.

Long a fan of Rainbow Light products, this is the only vitamin I've ever seen where the dosage is FOUR CAPSULES DAILY.

Just note that, this is a 30 day supply, being 120 capsules, which mislead me into purchasing the bottle whereas it was only a few dollars more than the Rainbow Light non-organic. That's what is seemed liked, but the non organic 120 count bottle is a 120 day supply, so these are quite pricey once you see the true math behind the facade.

They are vitamins alright....Some of the other reviews boast about feeling great after taking these for a week. I still feel like my self....not sure if I was suppose to cut a minute of my run time or something, lol. They gone done well, not to big like other horse pills. They don't taste bad when you belch 10 minutes after swallowing (which is always nice). Just OK if you ask me.... I personally enjoy GNC brand "Mega Men"....just thought I would try these out. I'm not saying they are not good, just ordinary.

The reason why i rate this product with 3 stars is basically that the daily recommended dose is 2-4 capsules which makes this product:

1. Expensive: if you take the max amount/day this lasts only for 30 days for $20!

2. Inconvenient to use: as taking 4 (or even 2) large capsules at once just feels too much of vitamin and spreading around the 4 capsules over the day just doesnt work with the kind of busy life the world lives today - one dose of vitamin is the optimal (for me at least) - Vitamins'

Bike Bag - bag, frame

The bag is nice, looks quite durable. However, it has a rigid frame inside that just wouldn't let it fit my Cannondale F5. Also, I'm not sure why, but it has a rather large curved backpack-strap-like piece on it which might get in the way of a water bottle if you have one. The total size of it is pretty big for what it holds, which is a normal sized wallet and keys, cell phone, and thats about it. I gave it to a friend, it fits his bike fine and he likes it. Just take a good look at the angle in the picture and make sure your frame has a similar angle, since it doesn't give you much ability to stretch it to fit. M-Wave Bicycle Triangle Frame Bag

Overall, the bag is not bad. I had to bind it quite tightly to my frame as the angle was a bit small.

However, it is not ideal for carrying your smart phone. An iPhone or similar sized device barely fits. And the flexible shoulder guard, if used, will put these devices in danger of being crushed. This was primarily for my smart phone, as normally my other items are a credit card and ID. It costs >$5 to return, so I might as well keep it and get another under-the-seat bag from Walmart for my cell.

Outside of that, the bag is fine for a normal wallet and garage door opener.

I wasn't expecting to be able to pack lunch into this thing. It stores my car keys, my cellphone, and a .25 caliber pistol nicely. Has no internal dividers so I put my phone in a ziplock baggie to protect it's screen.

Fits my bike well and does not interfere with the brake cables (you just need to fish the top strap under them).

One minor annoyance--and not it's fault-- is that it makes it somewhat harder to squeeze my bike onto my bike rack.

Great little bag to store tools, parts, or belongings in. Very well made and sturdy. Highly recommend this frame bag. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you have a full suspension bike, you might have to trim the plastic support piece on the back of the bag like I did. No big deal though. You need about eight inches if you don't want to trim the back.

The shape of this bag fit into a very unused space on the bike. It would be better though if it was a little thinner so that one's legs don't hit it when something is put in the bag. Good for carrying a cell phone and change though

This bag will not cause any draft and another reviewer had mentioned it had a back pack like padding on the bottom curve. This is not my first bag like this but I have come to love them. I keep a standard bag below the seat and it mainly holds a extra inner tube, CO2 carts and a few small tools which after your first flat miles from home you will have this too.

I like this bag as it is for my wallet and odd's and ends. The backpack type strap is for carrying your bike and the padding is for your shoulder if you carry your bike. This has been very useful to me as you have allot of control instead of guiding your bike by hand snd if coming up to an area that is rocky it is great. Heaven forbid you have a fender bender or mechanical problem causing your bike not to roll down the road. Then this becomes the best idea ever.

I do agree that the plastic top and side meets your frame and if you have a really thick frame this may be a problem. If you have a more standard frame it is great.

IThis bag seems very well constructed and has enough room for the essential repair items.... but it doesn't fit on my Giant BoulderSE's Frame. The bag has a frame inside that is rigid and won't allow it to bend to properly fit to my frames angle. It is worth the money but it looks like you will just have to take a chance on whether or not it will fit your bike.

Bag seems fine, but I could not even try it out since it will not fit with two water bottles. I have a 56cm frame with a slightly sloping (semi-compact frame) top tube and there is not enough room. I suppose if you had a 60cm frame with non-sloping top tube it may fit with water bottles. Of course, if you only need one water bottle cage, then this bag will be just fine. - Bag - Bicycle Accessories - Bike Bag - Frame'

Southern Rock - modern blues, roots rock

I agree with the above reviews. This is by far my favorite free download from Amazon. Kind of a laid back beat, just enough (not too much) jazz riffs, and kickin' horns. Download this track (Orange Blossoms) while it's still free. Orange Blossoms

This song has a great, swingy sound. The lyrics have great imagery; I can see the orange grove in my head as clearly as if it were a movie. I might check out more songs by these guys. Usually I stick to mainstream artists, but now I know to give the obscure ones a chance. I would make this review longer, but since I only have nice things to say, it could get dull quickly. So I highly reccomend you check this out yourself while it's free.

The sample clip is real... You can't help but love this song. It's smooth, catchy, just "dirty" and soulful enough ... It clearly covers the bases. I had never heard of this group, and after downloading the 2 free clips ( "Sweetest Thing" is the other free offering ) I can safely say that I am surprised that JJ's influence is not more dominant outside of northern Fla.

Get it, listen to it, you will not be disappointed, and you, like I, will probably go searching for more!

Love this band, have been following them for years and go to watch them play whenever they are in Florida. If you like this song, you should check out their other albums as well, Lochloosa, Blackwater and Country Ghetto, you won't be disappointed!

Wasn't familiar with the artist, but gave the song a try thanks to Amazon offering it up for free. So glad I did. Most of the free songs are dreadful, but I've added this one to several playlists and each time it plays, I like it even more. If you enjoy roadhouse blues, download it and give it a chance -- you won't be disappointed.

It's tough to stand out when so many songs are free on Amazon. But you know how some songs have that instantaneous appeal. This is one of those tunes. I have tons of music and this song is a mainstay on my mp3 player. Great tune whether you download for free or pay for it. - Southern Rock - Classic Rock - Roots Rock - Modern Blues'
