Adapters - adapters

I had one of these adaptors at home but lost it. I think I left it on a old tank that was discarded. I couldn't find one locally. I was told by all hardware stores (Lowe's, Home Depot, True Value etc) that they could not longer get these adaptors. Amazon had the best price and availability. This one cost a little more than I previously paid but is exactly what I needed to adapt "old" style 20 lb propane tanks to the new style fittings. The old tanks can't be refilled but I have 3 that are still full to get rid of.

If you're in the same situation I was, this will do the job. Onward Multi Corp 11051 Adapter

It's a solid piece of brass with one rubber O-ring on it.

I had a 100 lb propane tank that I needed to hook up to a burner. I also use the burner on smaller tanks so I didn't want to wrestle with changing the hose all the time. Now I can just screw the big plastic connector to the 100 lb tank.

A very simple part but a bit of a challenge to track down.

It's not super cheap but it's not over priced.

I had next day shipping and it was here at 2pm the next day.

If I get another 100 lb tank I'm ordering one more.

I purchased this to use with a Weber Genesis B and some old tanks I have, but found that it didn't work.

It certainly works with the old propane tanks I have, but the adaptor is just a little too short (on the side with the large threads) for the Weber's connector to engage it properly and thus allow the propane to flow.

I either need to find another adaptor, or change the regulator of the Weber...

If it was only about 1/8" longer...

Adapterts work just great, bought 2 1 for each 100lb. tank. was going to get an auto change over but i kinda like to know when a tank runs dry, with these you dont even need a wrench. just unscrew the big ole knob from 1 tank and screw it onto the full one, thats it. and you always know exactly when you started a new tank.

The propane adapter for your home use on your tank, is used for attaching a propane gas gauge indicator if the tank was full or empty. It is a hard product to find in some home improvement stores or even in the propane gas distributing outlet. But it did not stop there. The store manager was very helpful and directed me to go online and research for it. Amazon.com was the place where I found it. It works perfect for my use. Now I have no problem figuring out if the tank is low or empty. Thank you Amazon.com for carrying this product. - Adapters'
