I've had a terrible problem with acid reflux in the past. I was eating Tums for dinner. Then I discovered the power of enzymes to almost totally alleviate the problem. When I take 2 enzyme capsules daily I don't have the problem unless I eat way too much acid-forming salsa or drink too much acidic bottled tea or soda. I have IBS so I have tried other digesting enzymes. They are not all alike. This one positively takes the cake! I will continue to purchase regularly from Amazon. Subscribe & Save is the best way to go since I take 2 caps with each meal. (not with snacks though) These capsules have a very pleasant smell too! I will add that I also take the Bean-zyme as well. (same as Beano and sold here) The enzyme is a different one that no other product has. So it works VERY well with this Advanced Enzyme System. If you still have problems after using products like these, then you may need to do a detox to flush/clean your colon. I use Nature's Secret Multi-Fiber Cleanse tablets as directed on the label. I use daily for about 2 weeks, then stop until I start having problems again. (I have IBS constipation, bloating, gas) I hope my info helps! I love this stuff and can't live without it (don't want to!). I used to get alot of gas, bloating, upset stomach when I ate non-raw foods and now I take one capsule with a meal that is not completely raw and I feel great!! No more ugly gas or upset stomach (not that it's an excuse to eat whatever you want though!). :)
I also love that it's Vegan and has extra herbs that are not in most other similar products. I LOVE everything by Rainbow Light.
Rainbow Light is one of the best enzyme products I have tried, they seem to be true to their claim of what the product actually contains in each capsule. I've paid much more for others that were not as consistent and effective as the Rainbow Light. Price is very good for this product also, I would recommend to anyone wanting a good digestive enzyme for daily use.
I can eat Garlic again. I love garlic, but it does not love me. I used to have trouble with my stomach digesting protein, fat or garlic, but not anymore. I used amazon to re-order more Rainbow Enzymes b/c they had a good price. I'm no longer bloated and can eat more of the foods that I could not before. I used to have trouble with reflux, made an appointment with a GI specialist, starting using these pills and by the time I saw him, my reflux problem had improved about 75%.
Even though I am a raw vegan and have been for over 5 years, it would seem that I get plenty of enzymes directly from my raw vegetarian diet. I have Crohn's Disease and there are certain foods I have trouble tolerating/digesting, particularly those high in fiber and whole grains. I thought I would give this a try and my goodness......it's like a miracle to me!! I couldn't be more pleased with this product and will continue to use it daily. LOVE IT!
