My experience with this boombox was horrible. I bought it, it worked fine for the first 4 days, then the cd player got messed up. We have this CD player in our kitchen so that my toddler and I can enjoy his favorite tunes while I'm making dinner or whatnot. He climbs onto the counter and gives this stereo such abuse, and touches all the parts you're never supposed to touch on a CD player, and yet it still works perfectly! I'm really impressed by this machine. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that is does make a quiet electronic "hum" when it's plugged in. It doesn't interfere with the quality of the music at all. But if you're in the room and all else is quiet, you'll notice it. For this reason, we keep it unplugged when we're not playing a CD. Otherwise this CD player is great!

When I was christmas shopping, I thought this looked really cute, and I figured, "Hey, it's cheap, and looks good." So I bought it. It worked pretty well for the first couple of days, and then the CD playing system on it just decided to stop working. I checked all things that I might have possibly done wrong, but I didn't find any. When you try to load the CD, it doesn't let you play anything. I would not recomend this product for whoever wants to buy it, because it did not work like I wanted it to, and it made a pretty lousy Christmas present after I found out it had broken. DON'T BUY THIS.

Alas, it makes a very noticeable hum even when it's OFF! I have to unplug it if I want the noise to stop. Very disappointing.



But if size matters to you, it's worth mentioning that it's surprisingly small, especially in comparison to other portable stereos. It is easy to carry and fits anywhere.



(edit dec08.2006: and now it's incredibly fickle, frequently interrupting a cd with "ERR" or not even playing it at all. i want to replace it, but where are all the red cd players?)

I should have read the reviews closer myself before buying this....mine just inexplicably quit working after only having it a few months. Dont buy this piece of junk...there is a reason it is priced cheap.

I bought this product so my 3 year old son could listen to music before going to sleep in his room. It is terrible. There is a constant hum as long as it is plugged in. The volume of the hum depends on how the power cord is angled at the back of the unit. The CD player never worked right. After a few songs there is a "ER" message on the screen. Most of the time I can't even get it to play a CD. I'm very disappointed. Don't buy this product.

Sadly we received the product broken. It wouldn't play beyond the half way mark of any cd. In requesting a replacement the company returned the money without any comunication. It was rather strange but they refunded the money so one cant't complain.

I know this was not the top of the line radio, but I only needed it to play children's cds for my infant son. The cd player part is broken it will not play cds. The radio part works. It must be the best clay mask I have seen around. I've always had problems with pores and have spent a nice amount of money on different products. Since first using it I have come across with better products that clear pores even more, but they also are very drying to the skin.

Skinceuticals Clarifying Clay Masque is a must to have around. Whenever a zit starts to show it's ugly head I put a dot of the masque on it at bedtime. By morning the head is flat and has started to dry out without cracking the skin and there isn't a ruff surface so makeup goes on smooth.Sometimes I give my nose a treatment just to keep blackheads away.

I give kudos to this mask because my skin feels very soft and fresh after. It doesn't smell like much either and the texture of it is very smooth. It comes in a glass tub which always makes me feel like I'm paying more for the tub... I would recommend this for normal to lightly oily skin types. - Exfoliating - Masks'

These have been the best bluetooth headphones I have ever experienced.



MY USE: I bought these for all-around use (walking around campus, indoor climbing, and cycling), and they have performed magnificently. So far, they have been very sweat-resistant and chalk-proof while climbing indoors during the off-season (I don't believe in headphones while outside :)). They hold on tight when road-biking, and they have been very good for walking around campus and answering calls as I listen to music. I also occasionally use them with my iMac to watch movies without disturbing others.



STRUCTURE: First of all, the headphones look fantastic. Really sleek-looking headphones, I get compliments all the time on them, followed by amazement when they find out that they're bluetooth! The fit of the headphones was a little awkward at first - I expected the little buds to go into my ear a little deeper. While they are apparently meant for people with larger heads, I've gotten really comfortable with the way they fit on my head. They rest just outside of my ear canal without being crammed inside. They also rest comfortably on my neck when not in use - I'll often wear them around my neck in class or at work, forgetting they're on!

The buttons on the headphones are fantastic. They really did a great job here. The volume and phone controls are on one side, and the music controls on the other. You can still do things like redial a call, ignore a call, and turn on/off the "enhanced sound" mode using the few buttons. Also, the buttons are rounded off very well, so very easy to feel with your finger.



AUDIO QUALITY: The audio quality is good. While I don't consider myself an audiophile (proudly, btw), I do put weight on audio quality, and the sound from these headphones absolutely cut it for me. Better than Apple's earbuds (not hard to beat), and as good as the Skull Candy headphones I was using. Using either the Sony bluetooth adaptor, or my Sony Ericsson w580i, the audio came out great - actually, it was a huge improvement over the quality of the w580i w/ provided headphones. The default "enhanced sound" mode is actually very good - not just idiotically cranked-up bass like most sound "enhancements". But if you prefer a custom EQ, all you have to do is hold down one button for a few seconds and it turns off.

The microphone works well most of the time, but it's no replacement for a standard bluetooth headset in terms of ONLY hearing your voice. But my voice is heard distinctly - just with some background noise.



BLUETOOTH: Pairing is a breeze. The bluetooth signal has been an issue for me at times, though. Just carrying my phone/iPod around in my pants pocket just doesn't seem to cut it - my body is just too much of a barrier (and I'm not a big guy). However, in my backpack, or across the room, the signal has been flawless. So, my solution is to either always keep the phone/iPod in my backpack, or slip it into a front shirt pocket. But when I don't have any of these options, it gets really annoying having my music cut in and out - incredibly annoying, in fact. Like having a scratched CD. It's maddening! (the booklet recommends purchasing an arm band for this reason.).



Oh, and these guys will hold a charge all day with use throughout most of the day. But not much past that. Motorola S9-HD Bluetooth MOTOROKR/MOTOACTIV Stereo Headset (Gloss Black)

I wanted to listen to music on my HTC Diamond [Sprint] while exercising and around the house, without wires. This unit has good sound, and nice controls - I can activate voice command for hands free dialing, and I can change music tracks without pulling out the phone; Nice.



Unfortunately, the thing is really uncomfortable after a while, especially while wearing my glasses. Note, however, that I have a large head, and the unit is not adjustable [like that would have been difficult to design in].



Additionally, and I knew this before purchasing by reading other reviews, you cannot carry your phone in your front pocket while using these outside. I put the phone in my rear pocket if walking, but I'll have to wear a fanny pack or some other trick to get the transmitter within line-of-sight of the back of the headset. This is another pain-in-the-rear [no pun intended!].



I will say it's really cool to be out for a run when the phone rings and the auto-answer is turned on; the unit picks up and I can talk without having to slow down. I can dial out, as well, with the voice command.



The bluetooth technology is limited, but I think the designers could have made this more friendly.



This unit may just be the best available, for now, but it seems likes it should still be in "beta" to me.

I bought these because my Zaggs wouldn't stay on while running. So, after reading the reviews, I decided to give these a shot. I have an Iphone 3G OS 3.1.2.

Pros:

Three sizes of earbuds.

The SRS works very well.

Sound is good, almost as good as my VModa Vibes.

The MOTOROKR's stay on while running around the track.

Distance is decent, about 20-25 feet. (for mine)

Useful carrying bag.

Easy connection.

Runs with Pandora, AOL radio, Ipod, and GreatMetal.



Cons:

Track skip doesn't function with Iphone.

There are six buttons to remember, not a big deal, just takes getting used to.

Battery isn't removable.





Overall:

Great price and excellent quality. Holds a phone, GPS, satellite radio, etc securely without covering controls or charging ports. Spring clamp hooks to the car's air vent- screw and adhesive options also included. I opted for this style as I didn't have to have a bulky case or clip attached to my phone. I read a review by someone who purchased this item since they didn't want to use the suction cup. They wanted something easy to remove so no one would know a GPS was being used in the car. I wanted it so I could mount it closer to me so I could take advantage of the bluetooth (hands free phone). This device, once put in the air vent is difficult to remove. As a matter of fact, there is still one prong stuck in my air vent after I removed the unit. I wanted to use it with a Garmin nuvi 275T. The location of the plug for the Garmin is in the rear. When you plug in the wire it sticks out the back. You cannot fully mount the Garmin unit in the holder. It is biased to the right which adds a little difficulty when viewing your GPS. Also, this is not a problem with the unit per se, but if your vent is angled in a direction which makes viewing difficult, you will be disappointed. The only adjustment on the unit is the 360 degree rotation. If you need to adjust it in any other position, you're out of luck.

This complex device holder worked fine for a few months. One day I secured my iPod in the holder and the iPod fell out as I started driving. I put it back in a couple more times; when it quickly fell out each time, I realized that the holder was listing to one side. I tried adjusting it upward but it was already pointing all the way up. Then I noticed that one of the two air vent grippers was no longer gripping the vent. Upon inspection I found that the outer vent clip, along with its spring, had vanished. They're nowhere to be found in the car; I think it's likely that they're now inside the air duct. The clip piece must have broken since it would otherwise have stayed on the arm's track. The device holder is completely useless now.



UPDATE: I called the company. They said to go to their website and look toward the bottom of the main page for the link to order replacement bracket springs set for free. It's [...]. The link is in red and is fairly easy to find. Once I sent the email, they actually sent a replacement set via USPS - free! My guess is, I was far from the only one who had this problem. Clearly, the company stands behind their product and is committed to customer satisfaction and easily resolving problems, so I've upgraded my review from three to five stars.

Just got this. Amazing product. Build quality is decent. The fitting onto the air con vent is absolutely brilliant. There is no sort of movement after fitting it so it does not rattle however you can turn it 360 degrees as it is designed to use it in any position. The opening clasp is amazing and to even lock it once you put in a device is very easy. The air con does not get blocked as there is quite a lot of distance between the mounting and the actual holder. You can charge your device whilst it is on the holder and even if the pin is anywhere around the device it can accommodate it due to its flexible design.

Overall great product and incredible design!

My friend had this bracket device and I wanted to get it because I liked the fact that you would place it on a vent and not have it distracting you from the road if you had a mount that was a suction cup on the windshield. As for the fit on the phone, I have an HTC Incredible and had no problems with fit.



Now for the cons - I'm using this in a Honda Civic and the front vents are too small to use this product. I have also verified that these would not fit on the front vent of Lexus and Mercedes. One solution is to have this on the driver's side vent, which is useful because I don't remember ever really getting any benefit out it. Of course, then it is difficult to stretch any a/c power.



So in summary, good product, but there are some pros and cons associated with it. I'm still happy with my purchase though!

Having fried my previous iPod in my cup holder (filled with leaked coffee), I needed a mount that would keep its replacement out of harm's way. Since I live in California, I can't use a windshield mount and the dash mounts don't work for me. This style vent mount works perfectly. I am using it on a '96 Honda Accord with iPod Classic 7th Generation. It will work with the iPhone also.



I was looking for holder with spring clips so it could be easily removed. (The "grip" clips are almost impossible in my estimation.) I have a Garmin vent mount and was pleased to see the mounting part of this set up to be identical. I installed the mount on the left center vent and attached the holding unit. You have to press the "lever" to gradually expand the arms until your device will fit, then squeeze the arms to firmly grip your device. There are swing out arms at the bottom of the holder to use in the vertical position. All the arms are padded. To swing the unit horizontally, you just loosen the plastic nut on the back of the holder, rotate the unit and tighten the nut. The little arms you use in the vertical position swing out of the way to use it horizontally. The holder unit sits forward of the mount so it has room to be tilted toward the driver.



It holds my iPod beautifully and does exactly what I wanted it to do. Couldn't be happier, and the price was right. I purchased this converter for my last visit to India. It works very well is easy to use and does not heat up during use. Comes with an adapter plug so it is ready for use. The converter worked pretty well in India. I plugged in a Belkin 6 Outlet Home/Office Surge Protector to the converter and charged multiple electronics like laptop, phone charger, camera battery charger, portable dvd player etc. Recommended!

I purchased this Voltage Transformer, to allow us to run three New Zealand appliances (240v) here in the US (110v).



For two of the three appliances, this device works perfectly (a sewing machine and electronic keyboard). The third item, GHD hair straighteners kept blowing the fuses. The straighteners are rated 30w, and the transformer is rated 100w, so I was quite disappointed by that.



Talking to some more electrically inclined people at work, they suggested the hair straighteners might be self regulating to an average 30w, thus drawing higher current to begin with. Anyway, I keep the transformer for the first two items, and just purchased some new US plugged hairs straighteners.

I bought this product 2 months ago for some appliances that I brought with me from Europe to the US.

It works great, never had a problem. Doesn't get warm even after a prolonged use, no noise at all.

Highly recommend it, worth every penny.

Works fine for me after just a brief test, so far. However, I didn't realize from the photo that there is only one 110v (and one 220v) outlet -- I was hoping to be able to plug 2 items into this without a bus strip.

I normally have never written a review on the web. I got this transformer and a similar one with a bigger capacity based on the reviews I read but was greatly disappointed by both. Dip Station - pull up bar, exercise

The bar itself is great. The mounting instructions could use some work, though. They assume you're going to use screw anchors to mount it in wallboard, and I'm not convinced. Since the mounting holes are not on 16" centers I bolted the pullup bar itself to a 2x10x36" board using 1/4" nuts and bolts and then used 1/4" lag screws to screw the board to 3 studs, 3 screws per stud. After all that it's pretty solidly mounted, but it took some work. Maximum Muscle Trainer Wall-Mounted Pull Up Chin Up Bar

This bar works great once you have it set-up. The set-up is very difficult as the holes to put the bolts to attach it to the wall through are not 16 inches apart like most studs in a house so I needed to drill two 2*4's across the studs so that I had something secure to attach the bar to. The drywall attachment did not work as the bar pulled right out of the wall. Once I had it set-up it worked great though.

It's a very sturdy pull up bar once you get it installed. If you are putting this up on a brick wall you will have no problem with installing it. However, if you plan on using studs on a wall, you better pack a lunch. Most studs are separated by sixteen inches. The design of this product is flawed because the wall support frame is between 12 and 15 inches. I ended up putting this up in a different location than i wanted too because of this problem.

This was exactly what I wanted...and the price was awesome compared to other pull up bars ranging from $100-$200. I have a concrete wall and it mounted just fine after drilling a few holes. It comes with nuts & bolts, washers, and nylon plugs for after you drill holes in the wall. The bolts that go into the wall are roughly 3 to 4 inches, so it does hold up pretty well. I used a 3/8" for my drillbit when drilling holes. Make sure you have a wrench or at least a set of pliers because these are bolts, not screws(you can't use a phillips or flathead screwdriver on them). Definitely a good buy for its price considering it is a pull up bar AND a dipping station.

Not hard to mount and plenty strong for me at 180 lbs. The rubber grips on the end would rotate easily and the black finish on the side bars is way too slippery to hold on to while doing pullups. I wrapped it with sticky athletic tape now it works great.

Everything about product as expected (I did a bit of research and read pro's and con's to many different products. Make sure mounting surface is solid for all eight lag bolts! I am 6'6" and 225 lbs., every bolt went into solid 2x4 after predrilling holes (installed in an unfinished part of my basement). I borrowed a friend's Iron Gym and holding my knees up because my feet were dragging on the ground simply didn't work for me (I was hoping it would've been a power ab workout!) Some reviews warn to replace supplied lag bolts which I ignored...until the head snapped off one that I was trying to backout because I forgot a washer. I ended up replacing all of them to be sure. I don't think you can really beat this product for the money. Shipping was free through Amazon and I got it within 5 days! PS- my next purchase will be some weight training gloves, my hands sure are sore!

This is a great bar -- plenty sturdy. Jut mount it to a 2 x 10 or 2 x 12 and then mount the board to your studs with big lag screws with washers. Just be sure to pre-drill the screw holes (especially for the lag screws, as you do not want to split your studs vertically).



By the way, the plastic sleeves are to be used in concrete walls, not drywall, which will obviously not hold your weight. Just saying, as there seemed to be a bit of confusion in some reviews.

For the price this unit is great and works well; however, you will need to mount it on a board and then connect the board to the wall studs since the unit doesn't line up with the 16" on center studs. In addition, I opted to connect the board with large lag bolt and the actual unit with nuts and bolts, so I had to offset the mounting board with spacer boards to allow this. One other thing, this unit can be used as a dip station; however, the unit must be installed high for use as a chin up bar, so to use it as a dip station some sort of step would need to be put in to allow the user easy access. - Chin Up - Exercise - Chin Up Bar - Pull Up Bar'

Kindle 3 Case - kindle 3 case, kindle 3 covers

I don't know what I was more excited about getting in the mail - my new Kindle or this cover! I looked for several days for a cover and I'm glad I stumbled on this one.



Of course, my first choice was the Kindle lighted cover but I have several book lights already so paying an extra $48 for a case with a built in light really wasn't worth it to me.



I *almost* didn't get this mCover Leather Folio Cover Case because it uses leather tabs to secure the Kindle. I did not like the idea of securing the Kindle with the hinges even more. I would have preferred elastic bands but the fit is actually good and my Kindle does not shift at all. At first glance, the leather tabs looked stiff (and like hard plastic in the picture) but it's soft enough to not worry about the leather wearing and rubbing against it but firm enough to slide your Kindle underneath and hold it snug. My concern is that the leather will become softer over time.



This cover, like the Kindle cover, uses an elastic band to hold it closed. Other leather covers I found used a magnetic clasp like they have on day planners - which I always found to be clumsy and always in the way. With this cover, you can fold it back and use the elastic band to secure it open and the whole thing sits pretty flat. Someone mentioned there should be a tab to grab the band easier when it is in the groove but I think it's unneccessary.



The pocket.... I love the pocket! It's one of the features that won me over. I wanted something that had some type of pocket & knowing that I'll probably be using it poolside on upcoming vacations, I wanted something to store some cash, ID and my room key. This was the only case that had a large enough pocket to do that without looking like it was going to push against or scratch my Kindle screen since the pocket edge is not smack dab in the middle. And this is probably not a good idea, but when you have the cover open and folded back, you can slip your hand in the pocket to help you hold the Kindle for one handed reading. I stretched my pocket a tad doing that but it did help me hold the Kindle better.



As far as the color goes, the pink is not too bright or pepto bismal-ish and is actually a nice neutral shade of pink, IMHO. The manufacturer picture has a little bluish tint to it. I normally would have gotten a black cover since I'm not an overly "pink" chick and I did not go looking specifically for a pink cover but I couldn't resist. This it just the right amount of feminine touch for me without being too obnoxious. I also had no issues with chemical odor. I had to put my nose up against the cover to smell anything.



Overall, I am super pleased with my new cover. I'm even more pleased that I got such a cool cover that had all the features I wanted - at a pretty low price. =) Pink mCover® Leather Folio Cover Case for Amazon Kindle 3 (Fits 6" Display, built-in inner pocket)

May I be so bold to say that this product, the pink leather case for Kindle 3 is amazing? It's AWESOME!! It's soft leather case is easy and comfortable (because it feels like its almost softly padded). The tabs inside easily hold my Kindle without any wiggling or fuss.



It folds and bands together so you can use it at half-size when reading.

It also closes together with a band (similar to an elastic hair band).

It closes securely because the band fits into a grove on the case preventing breakage or slippage.



It's pink. It's cute. It's durable. And it can be yours too!



Ps. There are pockets on the inside left allowing you to put your thousand dollar bill or money clip (as seen in product pictures). OR you can simply store post-its. LOVE IT!!

I received my Kindle (latest edition 6") in December 2010. Since then, I have been searching all over for a cover. I did not want to spend $50 or more on a cover, but wanted something that would protect the Kindle. I just could not see $50 or so in the other covers at all. I found this one for $10 and change and even free shipping on my order and was ecstatic! It was delivered very quickly and I was so surprised when I opened it. It is pink and exactly what I'd been looking for all this time. The quality is super. It has a pocket on the inside to stuff my grocery lists or notes. The Kindle fits snugly and doesn't move at all yet leaves enough room to slide in a book light just right. It also has a band that keeps the front cover closed. I am very happy with this purchase. Again, I looked at many, many covers. I wanted one that would open like a book and this is it. Just love it!!

After using a neoprene case for my Kindle for a few months, I realized that I needed something more durable after the plastic on my Kindle began cracking. I read a ton of reviews, and eventually settled on this case; I was a little wary because of the price, but at the same time, if it was awful I wouldn't be out too much money.



I was very pleasantly surprised when the case arrived! The stitching is very uniform and durable, the leather itself is really nice quality and the pink color is great; it's very subdued, not "Pepto-Bismol" at all. I love being able to fold the cover back all the way, and the groove that holds the elastic string is a great little touch. A minor gripe is that the felt-ish lining inside picks up lint pretty easily; this is remedied with a swipe or two of a lint roller, though, not a problem.
