Diamond Blades

First, let me say that I put this on my table saw and it cut beautifully. I took it slow and could do great precision cuts with my professional saw and not have to get a standalone tile cutter but...

Cutting dry is very very VERY dangerous. This kicked up so much stone dust, like I've never seen before. I couldn't see in the garage after just a few minutes and I was totally covered head to toe with dust. This dust is impossible not to inhale because it gets on clothes, in the air, everywhere. Let's just say I had a very tough week after cutting for only 30 minutes.

If you can use this outside, be very careful, and always wear a mask then this is a very nice blade. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and get a dinky $70 wet tile cutter. It will have nowhere near the power or versatility or precision of putting this dry blade on a professional table saw, but the danger of the dust this kicks up is just not worth it. BUYER BEWARE! Notebook Power Adapters - laptop power adapters, notebook power adapters

We purchased this unit as a replacement for the Factory adapter (which lasted 3 years). This unit worked well for the first 6 weeks and then started having problems. The adapter port became loose and the connection to the computer was unable to deliver power to charge the battery. Will think twice about purchasing 3rd party items. NEW AC Adapter/Power Supply for HP/Compaq 381090-001 403810-001 417220-001

I purchased one of these & was very pleased at how cheap I found one. Got it, it worked for awhile & then stopped. Emailed seller & they sent me a new one. It worked longer than the 1st one, but has now stopped working as well. I have emailed the seller again, so we'll see what happens.

I bought this item in late september because my factory cord came apart. It arrived quickly and it was inexpensive. From the start after plugging it up to my laptop(compaq) the charging indicator would go back and forth from ac power to battery power. After a short while it would shut my laptop down and it would not charge my Laptop (compaq). I would not recommend this product. Put your money to a universal charger and save yourself some hassle. - Poor Quality - Laptop Power Adapters - Notebook Power Adapters - Hp Ac Adapter'

Stereo Extension - audio, headphone cable

I needed an extension because my headphones were too short to fit into my speakers. I looked at a lot of other extension reviews, and the main flaws of most of the extensions were that the wires would break or the sound quality would be greatly diminished afterwords. The majority of the reviews for this extension seemed positive so I decided to get it. This extension is great, you can walk around your room, or walk on the treadmill with increased mobility without a reduction in sound quality or loudness.

I haven't had a it long enough to know how long it might last before it may break down. So far I've had it for about a month plus a week, and there are no cracks in the wire, or any change in the quality, and I use for hours a day. Compared to other extension products I've seen this is a good buy for it's price and it's functionality. Cables To Go 40408 3.5 mm Male/Female Stereo Audio Extension Cable, Black (12 Feet/3.65 Meters)

This extension is just what I was looking for. I needed to have a long extension in order to connect my earphones to my PC and it is at about 1.50 m. from my head so the cable of my earphones was veryu short. I've been using it for a month and it works flawlesly

I bought this cable to replace the extension on my Shure earbuds. I would not reccommend it. The cable is much more rigid than the one that came with my earbuds, which causes it to work its way into loops instead of just laying flat. It is really annoying. The connectors also don't appear to be very good quality. I constantly get static in my earbuds if the plug twists around in the earphone socket of my Zune.

When I first received the 12 foot extension cable, I was very happy with it. The sound quality is only minimally affected. However, within a month and a half, it only works at certain angles. I cannot hold the cord in place whenever I want to listen to music. Don't waste your money, unless you plan to replace it every couple of months.

Here's an honest reveiw:

Really like the length and look of the extender, only problem is that after the

second day I used it, the right channel wouldn't work for any speakers or head phones that I'd use it with (even with cleaning and adjusting position of jack).

Fortunately I went rumaging through my old audio equipment and found my old extender which is only half as long and doesn't have as appealing of a look, but it does work after 4 YEARS of use (same cost range too).

Only 2 days of working compared to 4 years of working makes me give this product

the lowest possible review rating.

I broke the extension on my Bose headphones so I bought this as the replacement. It's ok, but it doesn't fit very well into my iPod when it has the case on it. The plastic around the extension is thick so it blocks that area. The sound is ok though, not overly excited about it but not disappointed either. It works and it's affordable!

I take the cable out of the package, plug my headphones into it and then plug the other end into my iPhone. The sound volume is much lower than if I was not using it. If I move the cable at all, there will be crackles and maybe only one channel will work. I suspect a short or a cold solder. This cable is only good for the trash.

This is the second cable I have used for extending earphones to reach my TV. My first one has worked for 1 year and ended up with one side of ears shut down, So I brought this cable. I found this new one is defective--making hiss noise on and off, and one ear is louder than the other, which really freaked me out. I am sure it is not because of my earphones or TV set, because they are working fine without the extension cable. My suggestion is that they still need a quality control while making this simple gedgets. - Cable - Extension - Audio - Headphone Cable'

Keyboard Pedal - midi keyboard, footswitches

The M-Audio SP-1 US65000 is a sturdy and solid pedal. The case is metal, not plastic, so it'll hold up well over time. The rubber pads on the top and bottom keep it from moving around, though the pads have a tendency to come loose.

The main reliability issue with the pedal is the low-cost construction inside. Instead of having the pedal actuate a switch inside, there's just a stiff bare wire that presses down against another bare wire to make contact. It works and is cheaper to manufacture than using a real switch. However, if the pedal goes unused for a few days, oxidation forms on the bare wire, which results in unreliable contact and flaky pedal response. Depressing the pedal a dozen or more times clears off the oxidation. If it doesn't, opening the pedal and cleaning the wire resolves any inconsistent/noisy pedal signals.

If you're handy with a soldering iron, replacing the pseudo-switch with a real momentary contact switch would yield a really great pedal. M-Audio SP-1 US65000 Sustain Pedal for Keyboards

This pedal seems to work pretty well, especially considering the price. I couldn't find many pedals that had my keyboard (Casio CTK-650) listed for compatibility. This pedal's claim of any keyboard holds true for this one.

The only negative I've found is it seems like the physical click sound of the pedal button is a little louder than I would have liked.

All in all, this pedal seems good for the price.

I was torn between going for a more expensive realistic piano sustain pedal or this cheapie looking pedeal. I just needed a sustain pedal for some piano and synth work. For the time being I am happy with it. This is just a basic sustain pedal. It's either all on or all off. In other words, there is no control of how much sustain you can put on it, which I wish I had known before I bought it, but it works pretty well and it's pretty solid. You get what you pay for.

Update9/2010

This thing hasn't seen a whole lot of abuse or misuse, or even use for that matter. So it was a mystery why the rubber gripping just came right off after a matter of weeks. Oh well, not a big deal to me. It has either sat in a box (most of the time actually) or been on the floor when I need it. It finally crapped out on me this week. It just won't work at all. Tried it on 3 different keyboards, 2 different programs (it had previously worked on everything) and now it just doesn't register. Disappointing cause I was in the middle of composing. I thought maybe it was a software thing. Nope. Did all I could think of. Nothing. It's a pretty simple little thing so I tried opening it up, everything looked fine (Cheaply constructed, I mean it's a damn little PIN that is the switch and not an actual SWITCH) Even went as far as to replace the cable and solder a new one in myself. Still didn't work! For as long as I've had it (about a year and half) it really hasn't seen a lot of use and only in my home studio. I'm a guitar player so I mainly stick to that, so I was upset when this thing just up and dies when I have a cheap $30 distortion pedal I've had since I was 13 that still works. I mean, I know it was cheap but, really?

I received a Keystation 61 as a gift and i was looking for a Sustain Pedal for a better performance. What can be better than one designed by the same company? Yes, M-Audio did a great job, is just like any Yamaha or Roland Sustain Pedal and due the universal plug you can use it on any other keyboard brand

Listen,

If you preform out on a weekly basis I urge you not to buy this sustain pedal. The rubber grips on the bottom and top of the unit fell off of mine after a week of practice and three shows. On the very last night that I used this product the spring mechanism went all wackadoo and required an additional tap to release, which, as you might imagine, was not the easiest way to finish a gig--especially in front of a packed house. Those who are going to buy this pedal should only do so if they are looking for a "throw-away" accessory, perhaps for their child who is still trying to figure out wether or not they are interested in keyboard studies. If I had a choice between buying this pedal again and smashing myself in the foot with a hammer I'd probably chose the latter...at least with a cast on your foot, your audience might be forgiving of botched chord transitions.

I'm giving this item 4 stars, chiefly for its usefulness, not necessarily for quality. This is the second of these I've had, so once the rubber pads started lifting off, in a matter of days, I took them off, flaked the weak glue off the surfaces, took off the nubs which seem to come out easily enough but don't seem to want to go in. Then replaced the glue with Barge contact cement, and now I've got a useful little pedal that I can kick aside when I'm not recording at my desk. If it dies mechanically, I'll post an update. If you have the room, though, I'd advise getting a full-sized sustain pedal though. - Midi Keyboard - Pedal Keyboard - M-audio - Footswitches'

Natural Progesterone - menopause, pms

Someone recommended this cream to me. I was having many a sleepless nights because of hot flashes. After only 1 week of use they have stopped completely. I ran out and used something else and the hot flashes came back. I will never run out of this cream again.Natural Progesterone Cream 3 oz

My husband swears by this product. Like most of us he felt uncomfortable taking a lot of prescription drugs (side effects etc., not to mention the cost!). He has been able to replace 3 prescription drugs with this one product to manage his prostate condition.

I bought this product because it does have 20mg of USP Progesterone per dose and no ingredients that raised any red flags and the price is very reasonable. However, the first one I opened will not pump no matter what I do, and I can't think of any other way to get to the cream. So Iam wanting to send at least it back, but lost the shipping label so am not sure where to send it. The next one I opened works fine, but still have 2 more to open and test.

So, the cream may be okay, but the mode of delivery may be flawed. I wouldn't even mind that so much except that it is almost impossible to access the cream any other way than by the pump working, being that it is in a hard plastic bottle. - Menopause - Perimenopause - Progesterone - Pms'

Portable Hard Drive - external hard drive, computer backup

I bought this hard drive about 7 months ago prior to my deployment to Afghanistan. The weight and size were great. Seemed perfect. I get to afghanistan, and may have only plugged it into my Sony VAIO ten times, when suddenly it would not be recognized. Like it didn't exist. I kept unplugging it and plugging it back in. I then tried it on a bunch of other laptops. Nothing. So, I thought, maybe it's just in a "mood". I turned off my computer, went to sleep, and tried it the next day. Still nothing. Now, it has been seven months, and I still occasionally plug it in to see if it works, but to no avail. Luckily, everything I had on the WD hard drive was backed up on another hard drive, so I didn't lose anything. I would just return it, but seeing that I'm not in the United States and where I'm at, the mail system doesn't work, I now use it as a paper weight, which it would recieve 5 stars if that was what it was meant to be used for.

I looked it up online and found that there are thousands of other people with the same issue. WD keeps giving the lame excuse of "some computers don't supply enough power". That's bull... Then why doesn't it work on ANY computer? And why make something that doesn't work all the time? And, using simple logic, my buddy who has the same hard drive plugged his into his computer, and it worked. I plugged mine into his computer, and it didn't work. He then plugged his into my computer, and it worked. I plugged mine into my computer, and it didn't work. Hmmm... Sounds like it's more than a power issue. I'm meeting my wife on R&R soon and will give it to her. Hopefully, she can return it, but she can't find the receipt, so I'm sure we're stuck with it.

I can't tell you to buy or not buy it. Most people have great luck with it. But that's what it is...luck. So, you may buy this, and it will probably work. Or, there's a chance it won't. So, why not buy a hard drive that works ALL THE TIME? No risk, no chances. I think I'm going to order a Toshiba and have my wife give it to me on R&R. It seems that their hard drives don't suddenly decide to not work. Western Digital My Passport Essential SE 1 TB USB 3.0/2.0 Ultra Portable External Hard Drive (Black)

This is an easily portable hard drive with generous 1 TB capacity. It is compact, lightweight and runs nearly silently.

It was instantly recognized when connected to a desktop machine running Windows 7 Professional (32-bit), to a laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit), and to a netbook running Windows XP Home.

None of these machines is USB 3 equipped; since all of my data transfers were via USB 2, I can't comment on the USB 3.0 performance. USB 2 transfers to/from the desktop internal hard drive took about 3 minutes for every 1.5 GB of data.

Since this is a recent purchase, it's not possible to address the reliability/service life of this drive.

This drive is powered via the USB cable, eliminating one power cord (and wall wart!) from the rear of my desk (and increasing its portability)

Some reviewers have commented on issues with the included backup software. My experience with the offerings from both WD and other vendors is that significant shortcomings in features and functionality are often part of these applications.

I simply deleted this software without installing it, and continued to use this drive with a separate back-up application (I've been using Centered System's "Second Copy" with great success for both automated and manual back-up tasks for 5 years).

One minor gripe about this device: the included data cable is *very* short (about a foot long), limiting drive placement options (I don't know if this is related to the USB 3 capability or not).

Note: I purchased the blue version (not currently offered on Amazon). I included pictures on the product page and the only the color is different; specifications, form factor and performance are identical to the black model.

This WD 1TB drive is a good value, but the backup software [SMARTWARE] should be called DUMBWARE. The software assumes that you are expected to be an idiot and they are all knowing.

The previous software, WD Anyhere Backup, is a much better product. What it doesnt do that Anywhere did:

1. Backup to drives other than WD Smartdrive;

2. Let you have duplicate file names in different folders;

3. Doesnt have the feature to purge files from the backup that are no longer on the source drive.

4. Since it ignores folders you can only backup by file type. This means that it backs up videos, for example, that you dont need or want to backup. These files may be multiple GB and eat time and space needlessly.

5. The picture catagory doesnt know that a NEF file, Nikon's raw format, is a picture.

6. There is no way to add file types to a catagory.

7. Can not be paused til idle or til resumed. This means that it kills high useage programs like Photoshop CS5. The only choice is to turn the drive off while you are using photoshop.

NTS, I uninstalled this product and use the older SMARTER Anywhere Backup. The older software was the driving item that led me to choose WD, which was a bad move. Maybe 3 stars is to kind.

It was awesome - for the week that it worked. I have a Macbook and for the week prior to the HD crapping out, it worked beautifully. The software it came with is cool and easy. The drive is a little bigger than my phone - perfect size and super portable. I only had about 200gb's on it, and i plugged it in one day, and all of the sudden my laptop wouldn't recognize it. I tried it on 3 other laptops and nothing happened. I called WD and talked to two different people - they both said the same thing. "Alot of laptops don't have enough USB power to power up a portable hard drive over 500gb's"....whats the point of having a portable drive if your lappy can't power it? Granted I only have USB 2.0 - but what's the point of being portable if my laptop can't power it?

Good thing Amazon is awesome and is giving me a full refund. - Western Digital - External Hard Drive - Computer Backup - 1 Tb'
