Optical Mouse - optical mouse pad, mouse pad


I suppose it's silly to order a mousepad from Amazon when I could just go over to Office Depot or BestBuy or Target or just about any other store in the neighborhood and pick up a mousepad at a very cheap price.



I pondered doing just that ... and I even checked out their selection for a bit when I was shopping for other items. I'd glide my shopping cart down the aisle, only to find boring solid colors for very low cost or bigger pads for a bit more, covered with Disney characters or smiling skeletons or something I do not want to face on a daily basis.



Which is why I chose this mousepad and paid for shipping - sure, it cost more. Sure, most mousepads do the same thing and the basic black one from Walmart would do the exact same job.



But that one - as well as any of the others that I could find in the stores here - didn't make me feel good. I like looking down and seeing that peaceful scene. The water, the trees, the pretty pink flowers.



It was worth a bit more for me to have that vision on my desk 24/7. It's peaceful. It's beautiful. It's so much nicer than staring at a solid color or something with Mickey or a Disney princess day after day.



I highly recommend this product.

Hp Pavillion Ac Adapter - laptop charger, ac power supply presario c700


I really needed an replacement adapter so I could use my laptop, so I was desperate. I wasn't disappointed, it's a good length so I can move with the laptop plugged in, only problem may be how hot it can gets but that is easily avoided. This thing is a pile of crap I bought one and it lasted me 2 months and the charger burned up and wont work now. Also the charger gets very hot and if you touch it by accident not realizing it it is hot enough to burn you.

Decent power adapter. Not the best, but it certainly does the job.



I purchased it in early December as a cheap replacement for the original. Originally, I had no issues whatsoever. The cable plugged into my computer well, no isses with coming unattached and it provided a long charge.



I'm leaving this review to say that 6 months later I am having lots of issues with it. The adapter box on it gets really hot, and the tip that goes into my computer won't charge/connect unless I hold it in a very funny way. All that being said, the only reason I thought to even do a review was because I'm going to pick up another on of these chargers. It's so affordable that I don't mind replacing it. Although, I will be buying a new laptop soon anyways.

this item arrived on time and was doing great at first. then after a few weeks i realize my computer wont charge when its being used and plugged into this adapter when it always has before. another month down the line and the charger is humming and no longer working. you have been warned you get what you paid for: one good month of use :(

Optical Cable - optical cable, amazonbasics


If it doesn't snap you probably forgot to take the little rubber protectors off the end of the cable... like I did for about a minute. Once removed it snaps in perfectly.



The cable is high quality, long, and very flexible and has nicely constructed connectors. And it is about 1/4 the cost of radio sxxxx and bsst buy, both being rip-off artists on items like cables.



Its things like this that will make me a prime return customer. Who can't wait 2 days to save big bucks?? AmazonBasics Toslink Digital Audio Optical Cable (6 Feet/1.8 Meters)

My goal in life is to never buy overpriced cables. I figure that it is a cable and how could it break. After all it just sits there collecting dust. It's a digital signal going through glass/plastic fiber, there will be no difference compared to the $450 dollar AudioQuest class 5 optical cable - TosLink plugs 1m (3.28'). If you bought this $450 cable, I cry for you.



The cable is your basic black color and it looks as nice as a cable can look. The cable is flexible and bendy just like a cable should be. It is long. The connection fits snugly from my Pioneer VSX-1019AH-K 7-Channel A/V Receiver (Black) to my ancient Philips DirecTV DVR With 40GB TIVO.



It comes in a nice cardboard box that is so simple to open. You can then toss the packaging into your recycle bin for recycling.

1. Open the box.

2. Remove the cable

3. Remove the twistie tie (counter-clockwise rotation is critical for success)

4. REMOVE THE PLASTIC NIBS covering the connectors

5. Plug one end into your TV optical port and the other end into the electronic device of your choice

6. Enjoy the show



These AmazonBasics cables are the cat's ass. I wish they came in shorter lengths (cable neat freak), but the price can't be beat. You won't be disappointed.

A really well made cable. If you are new to this Toslink cabling you may not notice that AmazonBasics Toslink cables come with a near transparent protective silicon cover over the tiny optical connector. Look closely as they are there, and obviously removing this BEFORE installing the cable will be the difference between a trouble free installation and ten minutes of fiddling with connections and scratching your head trying to figure out why your optical connection is not operating.

I had ordered two of these cables to hook up from my computer chassis to my Denon AV Receiver and another for the connection from the Denon AV Receiver to the TV. Being the first time that I had ever used Toslink Digital Audio cables I thought that you just plug them into the outlet and it would work automatically.



I didnt know that the cables contained a clear plastic cap to protect the tip of the cable on each end so the cable kept popping out of the slot when I tried to plug it in with the protective plastic cap on it. I was going crazy so I went online to read reviews on other optical cables, watch installation videos on youtube, and forums to see if other users have been having the same issues but none of the videos tell you to remove the clear plastic protective cap so I thought that the cap was part of the cable. Luckily some other amazon members read my review and told me to remove the clear plastic cap, the cables have been working fine ever since. Amazon has an awesome community, thanks for the help guys.



I would highly recommend this cable to anyone who needs a toslink digital audio cable.

Since I upgraded to a new tv and surround sound I wanted the best connections.

The digital audio is perfect.

Helpful hint, the little rubber things on the tips have to be removed first LOL.

I tried jamming the thing into the Blu Ray player and it just kept popping back out.

Mr. Tech Man I am not.

As soon as I took those off it snapped right in.

Cheap.

Effective.

A must have for HDTV owners.

This product works. It works the same as my expensive big name Optical cable that cost 10 times more. I cannot hear a difference. I imagine 99 percent of the population won't either. So save your money.

I too thought the cable was too loose, but when I re-read the comments, I re-checked the cable ends, and sure enough, there is a little, soft plastic cap on the male pin at each end of the cable. Carefully remove the cap by softly pulling with your fingernails, and Bingo! the cap comes off, the cable snaps in just as it should! PLEASE, all of you who have had looseness probs with this cable, check the ends carefully...the cap is hard to notice, but it blurs the light(strangely enough the cable still worked fine, even with the caps on), if you feel the little soft cap, you've found the problem; just gently pull it off, put the cap in your recycle bin, plug your now functioning cable into the devices and enjoy! It was only after I re-read the comments/reviews that I closely checked my cable, and sure enough, Amazon's quality prevailed and I was wrong wrong wrong! Def recommend this product. Electronic Music - keyboard, yamaha


Growing up with an acoustic piano, I was uncomfortable with how the FC-5 Sustain Pedal felt. For me to tell when I was pressing the pedal or not, I had to take my shoes off. Unwilling to be an environmental hazard, I decided to purchase a pedal that has the feel of an acoustic piano's pedal. (Much better than buying that yellow tape to surround myself with...)If you are looking for the feel of an acoustic piano's pedal, I would recommend the FC-4. Or if you want the same feel with a pedal that can do more than just sustain, I'd recommend the FC-3. Yamaha FC-5 Sustain Pedal for Portable Electronic Keyboards

The people who said this pedal works the opposite of a normal sustain pedal may not know that the keyboard has to be turned OFF when the pedal is plugged in. This pedal works fine for me, though it slides a bit on carpet. This does not have the feel of a regular piano pedal, but I'm quite happy with it, for what it is.

I'm new to keyboards and am still trying to make my hands work together. The melody is coming along fine with my right hand but integrating chords with my left sounded choppy so I thought it might sound better with a sustain pedal. My music is a little better but the pedal itself works great. I read the comments about it working backwards and tried some experiments. If the keyboard is powered off when you plug in the sustain pedal it will work just fine, but if it has power to the keyboard when you plug it in then it will work backwards. To fix it just turn the power off and on again. The pedal causes the sound to die away over 3-4 seconds with the peddal pushed and if you release it early it will shut the sound off early. My keyboard has a very good piano sound when set to Grand Piano and with the sustained sound it doesn't loose any of that piano sound. The peddle itself looks fairly well constructed especially considering it's low price. I've only had it a few weeks so I can't speak about how well it will stand up to repeated use. It seems good enough for someone who wants to play for their own enjoyment and maybe a few friends.

I have owned this pedal for a VERY long time and had it through some very abusive situations and it has held up very well. (the pedals I recently purchased are add-ons for new gear) the origunal pedal still works fine.

This is a bargain and certainly fills the bill for me. I am not looking for top of the line and certainly would not expect such for this price. Thus, if I need a more realistic feel or whatever, I would expect to pay more. But for the average person, this will work fine and there is no reason to be afraid of it. It does what it says it is supposed to do and "feel" is really just what you get used to. Get used to this and I am sure you will appreciate the bargain.

The Yamaha FC-5 Sustain Pedal's price was the deciding factor, when I searched Amazon. I was looking for a sustain pedal, for my newly purchased M-Audio Midi Keyboard, and I didn't want to pay the $25, for M-Audio's pedal.



This Yamaha pedal feels of good quality, and it functions as advertised. Just ensure you follow the directions: plug the pedal into your keyboard, while the keyboard is turned off. Otherwise, the polarity is incorrect, and the pedal may not function correctly.



Some might appreciate the *feel* of the M-Audio pedal, which is very similar to a piano's, but this product gets the job done at a more affordable price, and I like that!

It may not give you the "feel" of a piano sustain pedal, but it works .. The price is reasonable. Just make sure to remove your foot from the pedal before you turn the keyboard on, or it will sustain the notes when the pedal is NOT pressed.

Bio-identical Hormones - libido, menopause


I have a luteal phase defect...anyway, without boring you to death, it is a shortage of progesterone that was a big deal when I was trying to have a baby and is apparently a big deal again now that I am getting older. So I bought this thinking, what the he**? Well, it worked for all of the stuff I was having issues with (irregular timing issues, major cramping, other stuff) But after the first day, I woke up with an extremely erotic dream. I thought--whoa, ok--and went on about my day. I never thought it might be the cream, I just figured it was a full moon or some other nonsense. I am trying to be subtle, but explaining this is difficult. Let me just say that my mind started wandering A LOT and I became a little more flirtatious and mid winter felt like spring.

So ladies--if you are suffering from a lack of interest, this stuff--well it isn't just a rumor--it works. I had to back down on how much I used because someone might have gotten hurt. Natural Radiance should really be called Natural Randiness.

I've used this particular creme for 2 months and it performs as well as a creme I'd used that cost more than twice as much which is a real plus. It is bio-identical and has a creamy consistency which measures up to a much higher priced creme. I hope that I will be able to find it when I'm ready to re-order. I give this product 5 stars.

This is the best creme available.After Years of experience of selling and using various Progesterone Creme's since the 90's I would recommend Natural Radiance 2% Progesterone Cream above all else. I have even used prescription compound progesterone cream for a few years and it was not a good experience.I quite that and have returned to using Natural Radiance 2% progesterone cream again. I've only used it a few days but not sure if it works for me. I thought I was low-progesterone/estrogen-dominant but maybe not. Seems like I have trouble staying asleep since using this product and the night sweats have not abated. I have gone off of it for a week or two to determine if my sleep pattern returns to normal. If it does, I'll try again to see what happens. I will agree with one reviewer that it gives a boost to the libido, ha ha. Garmin Nuvi Mount - vehicle mounts


The bracket and suction mount fit my Nuvi 1300 perfectly, and were identical to my original Garmin set for half the price. ChargerCity originally sent me the wrong bracket, but was quick to ship out a replacement once the error was discovered. I would definitely use them again. My wife left our Garmin mount in the rental car (Portland)... dang. So I hopped on Amazon and found this "replacement".



Perfect!! Shipped out quickly (though the US Post Office took about 2 weeks around Christmas time)... and it works great!!



I kind of wish I had bought 2, in anticipation...

I lost mine at the rental car place in L.A. After reading other reviewers comment, I gave a try and order one for me. I received the product in a few days and as other people suggest, suction cup mount and the bracket work seamless with my Garmin 1300. Actually, the suction mount works even better than the one from Garmin. It sticks to the windsheld and never falls off. Apple Airport Express - airport express, airtunes


Yes, the directions stink, but there is hope for you Windows users. If you have the typical Windows wireless network setup (computer, router, laptop, access points, etc.), then follow these easy steps to get your AirPort up and running.



1. Before you go wireless, physically connect your AirPort to your router with an Ethernet cable. Plug in the AirPort, and wait until the LED turns solid green.



2. Start the AirPort Admin Utility for Windows. You now want to configure the AirPort to join your existing network "wirelessly". You should see the AirPort Base Station appear with its IP address in the Base Station Chooser.



3. In the lower right-hand corner, click on Configure... Click on the AirPort tab. In the "AirPort Network" section, Use base station to: "Join an Existing Wireless Network". Underneath that, type in your existing wireless "Network Name". You will be asked to change the password as well.



4. Click "Update" in the lower right-hand corner of the Configure window. Your AirPort will be restarted, and the LED should turn solid green again.



5. Finally, disconnect the AirPort from your router, and remove the connecting cable. You should NOW be able to plug in your AirPort anywhere to join your existing network. Apple AirPort Express with Air Tunes (M9470LL/A)

I have read some of the other reviews in this space, and they do appear mixed. I can only offer my experience with this product, which has been absolutely spectacular. I have a G4 Powerbook, a printer, the airport express, and two toddlers. What the wireless capabilities have done is make my house much more enjoyable to all of my family. I keep my Powerbook on my coffee table, my printer on the top of my stereo unit. My oldest daughter, 4 years old right now, can walk up to my laptop, turn it on, click on her Barbie.com shortcut on the desktop, and print out new coloring sheets for her and her younger sister. Then, while they color, with a couple of clicks, she can play any of her music from iTunes. With everything so accessible, my daughters are becoming more computer literate, and have very little interest in watching TV anymore, and there are no wires traipsing across the house. And as far as ease of use? I had it up and running in less than 5 minutes, without ever looking at the manual. After being a PC person until just two years ago, these are the exact reasons that I converted to the Mac world. This is just another great product by the people at Apple.

Took 2+ hours to get this set-up as a "client" on my existing 802.11b network - awesome product once you jump through the hurdles!...



I read other folks advice, but none of them gave me a complete A-Z for connecting to an existing network using WinXP and 802.11b. Here's my instructions borrowing certain parts from other postings (thanks, btw!)...



1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes.



2. Physically connect your new AirPort Express to your wireless router with an Ethernet cable. Plug in the AirPort Express into the wall, and wait until the LED turns solid green (up to a few minutes).



3. Insert the CD-ROM that came with the product and run the Install program on your computer.



4. Once installed, start the "AirPort Admin Utility" for Windows. [Note: do NOT use the "AirPort Express Assistant" AT ALL as this software will lead to a dead end if you're trying to connect to your existing non-Apple AirPort Basestation network (eg; this tool doesn't work if you have Netgear, Linksys, Belkin, etc).]



5. Select your new Airport Express name in the Base Station Chooser list and then click "Configure" in the bottom right corner.



6. Click on the "AirPort" tab. In the "AirPort Network" section, select "Use base station to: Join an Existing Wireless Network".



7. Type in your existing wireless "Network Name" [note: if you don't know this, in WinXP go to "View Network Connections > View available wireless networks" and find the name of the wireless network you are using. Note this name and how it is spelled, as it is case sensitive = you have to enter it just like this in the AirPort set-up.]. If you have security on your wireless network, click "Security" and enter in the correct key(s), which you can get from your router's home page [note: find the IP address for this in your router's documentation].



8. Change the password to something you'll easily remember. It doesn't let you use the default "public" password.



9. Click on the "Music" tab at the top of the screen, and name your iTunes speaker system. For example, "Living Room".



10. Click "Update" in the lower right-hand corner. Your AirPort Express will be restarted, and the LED should turn solid green again after a few minutes.



11. Go to http://www.apple.com/airportexpress/ and download the latest firmware update for your AirPort Express (eg; AirPort Express Firmware 6.1.1 for Windows). Run this software to update the firmware. Once the installation is complete, your Airport Express will again restart and the LED will change to yellow then back to green after a few minutes.



12. Unplug the Ethernet cable and relocate the AirPort express where you'd like, plugging in your audio jack and plugging the unit back into the wall.



13. Turn on your audio receiver, make sure it's connected to the jack you just plugged into the Airport Express.



13. Open iTunes. In the bottom right, select your new Airport Express speaker name (eg; Living Room) as the speakers to use.



14. Select your song, press play, and there you have it.



15. Happy AirTuning...
