Environmentally Friendly - diaper cover, cloth diapers

I was originally very happy with these inserts because I wanted something thin. I used them with the Thirsties covers. They worked well for my 18 month old at first, but as he got older they just weren't sufficiently absorbent. IMO... the bulker the cloth diaper, the more absorbent it will be. There is no magic fabric. Over time the microfiber layer hasn't held up well. It has gotten rough and stained. The hemp layer still looks great, though. I now use prefolds instead. They are bulky, yes, but much more absorbent. Prefolds are also cheaper, they wash better, and they dry faster. I will save these to use with the next baby, however because it is nice to have a slimmer option on occasion. Thirsties Stay-Dry Duo Insert, White, Size One (6-18 lbs)

We've been using these for six months, and love them. I use prefolds at home, but this is our go-to diaper when we are out of the house. It takes up less space in the diaper bag than a prefold, and makes for quick and easy changes in a public restroom. I've also tried FLIP inserts, but I like these much better because they combine hemp and microfiber. Microfiber absorbs quickly, but hemp holds more and does not cause compression leaks as easily. I use these with all of our covers (Blueberry Coveralls, Thirsties sized, and Thirsties Duo Wraps), and they work well with all.

These inserts work perfectly!

The Good:

1. The size is perfect.. long and wide enough

2. VERY absorbing yet still thin! Genius design

3. There are two inserts connected by a white tab on each end. This is great feature because I pull them apart to speed up drying.

4. The tab feature is great for us because when we are at home we use three at bedtime. So we use one set connected and divide another set and use off of that set. You can't even tell the difference in diaper size between two and three!

5. I like the white color. Some things do not need to be all colored and full of dyes. This is one of those items.

6. They are well made - I wash my daily and have no wear or tear from it.

The Eh:

1. This can be taken as good or bad. I personally take it as good, but they take a long while to dry. I see this as proof positive that they hold fluids well and work perfectly for their purpose. Others may see this a bad due to the electric/gas bill. I pull mine apart when I dry them and I did buy some dryer balls to assist in keeping them separated while drying. They do require in my dryer an added 20 minutes. My dryer is a Kenmore super capacity elite series and that may be why it does takes so long... the drum is huge and I only wash an average of 7 diapers every other day.

I got a couple of Thirsties pocket diapers that come with these inserts and liked them, but was not crazy about the way the Thirsties fit on my skinny 2 1/2 month old. I had a couple of Happy Heiny's pocket diapers that were gifts and really wanted to use them but they don't come with inserts (you have to buy them separately) so I thought I'd try these inserts in the HH diapers. A perfect fit! The inserts are very absorbent and do fit perfectly (not too wide or too long) in other pocket diapers as well. As for the drying issue, if I pull them out of the dryer and they are still damp, I just drape them over the side of my laundry basket for a while to finish drying. You could hang them outside too (which would also solve the staining issue some reviewers mentioned). While I agree they are a bit pricey, I remind myself that you are really getting two inserts here because the two layers snap together and can be pulled apart for layering.

Cloth diapered triplets from birth to potty training. These inserts are the best for absorbing without all the added bulk. Seldom have we experienced any leaks and usually that is because the kids drank too much before going to bed or the diaper was not put on correctly. Well worth buying!

Ok, so I use both all in one cloth diaper and prefolds with covers. Love Thirsties Duo Wraps and when I saw these inserts I was hoping for an easier insert for the cover. I love using prefolds and the Duo covers because it's the cheapest way to cloth diaper, but as wonderfully absorbent and slim as these inserts are, the price increases the cost. They are super easy to use, clean, and super absorbent. Just wish they had a bulk price since you need more than one throughout the day. I use the one I have for going out of the house since it's more convenient than a prefold.

I don't like that they take so long to dry, the edges are curled up, and they really don't hold much more than a microfiber insert IMO. I don't trust them at night, each time I have put my 2 year old to bed with one of these and a large microfiber insert he wakes up soaking wet. He's not a super heavy wetter either. I think I will stick with prefolds and microfiber. - Thirsties - Cloth Diapers - Diaper Cover - Diaper'

Airsoft Sniper - airsoft, air

This thing is durable. I have used it for over 50 fills now and it is brand new! Even when we are in a battle in the woods and don't charge quite straight, it did not break. It comes with an adapter for canned air, and instructions to use this adapter if you break the nozzle. Now that is a company thinking ahead. I highly recommend this over an aluminum or steel one. The plastic remains supple in the sub zero gas temperatures. It even came with silicone oil for use with the gun. 2 drops per every 8 refills of the clip, keeps o-rings moist and happy. Great for saving $ on rip-off green gas. Airsoft Innovations Propane Adapter Ver4

Purchased this for my brother's birthday (i'm a girl) because he is an airsoft gun person and was asking for this product for a while. he loves it and uses it all the time. I know nothing about airsoft guns, but he seems happy with it and there were no problems.

I was initially concerned that a plastic adapter would fail pretty quickly, but I was wrong. I even accidentally dropped the propane bottle and the tip was unscathed. The order also includes a replacement tip and bottle of silicone oil, so a perfect package! A must-have for airsofters using gas-powered guns!

if you buy from airsplat you get the version 5 (tan one with red cap). It's supposed to be better than it's predecessor. No leaks and fits my bernzomatic propane cans perfectly (could also fit coleman cans too but coleman cans smell worst). Comes with the 100% silicone oil that you can put a few drops on the propane can. Nice little instruction booklet. Great product.

Works just fine. Fits non-coleman tanks. Doesn't leak when filling. Doesn't leak when removing. It is plastic so I would consider it fragile, so i remove it and store it carefully during transportation. Tester cap is very helpful. It comes with silicone oil which is a plus. The filler tube doesn't get stuck like the Madbull metal one. I was directed away from the Madbull metal one due to it getting stuck and not fitting anything other than coleman tanks. As nice as the madbull one is, go for the reliable tried and true, go for this one. Also, I don't see a difference between the AI Ver4 and AI ver5.

I received the Ver5 when I ordered. This device makes using your AirSoft easy and affordable. Why waste money on green gas when you can use this device and use propane that is widely available. This item will pay for itself in a short time.

Although it seems a bit pricey up front, you need to take into account how much "green gas" costs. At about $8 per can, the stuff can seriously add up quick. Green gas is simply propane without the propane smell (if I remember correctly, they add some sort of chemical).

As for the product, it is very, very good. The plastic, although it looks flimsy and cheap in the photos, is actually very thick and tough. It includes a small bottle of light silicone oil (1.5wt), so be sure to apply that to your gas gun after every session of firing. If you own a green gas airsoft gun (in this case, my Taurus PT92 (all metal)), then this is a must-have. I can pick up a big camping-grade can of propane at Wal-Mart for about four bucks, and that lasts me at least six months.

Overall, it's a great product, and well worth the upfront cash.

I have purchased from Airsplat before, but doing so GOING THRU THE AMAZON team for Airsplat was OUTSTANDING....>Great service and responsiveness. Truly a good pairing and I will do so again in the future!!!! - Airsoft Sniper - Airsoft - Air - Oil'

Lifetime Maps - easy to use, large screen

I just got my Tomtom VIA 1505TM yesterday, and having just got off the phone with the (easy to reach & very friendly & helpful) customer service here is what I wish I'd known before I bough this: it's still in Beta and isn't supported by a lot of Tomtom's infrastructure yet. For example, as of today (April 5th 2011) you aren't going to find it on most of the drop down menus on Tomtom's website or as an option on the phone menu when you call customer service. More seriously, it can't connect to Tomtom Home which is the software that allows you to do the fun things Tomtom offer like downloading voices or other doodads to your device. I was really looking forward to customizing my GPS with various voices and I'm sad I can't do that. I am assured that over the course of this year Tomtom will send updates to the VIA GPSes that will eventually allow them to join the party but for now there is very little support for this product. I think it's kind of weird to release a beta that has less functionality than the models it supersedes without clearly warning potential purchasers so I'm writing this review today. I also can't buy a carry case sized just to fit my VIA - which is a different shape to previous models because it attaches to my car using a different system. I'm told its a better system but since this is my first GPS I wouldn't know.

Hopefully by the end of the year (as I said, I'm writing this on April 5th 2011) this review will be obsolete but right now, if you purchase this GPS today, you will not be getting a fully supported device. I'm not happy at having been lured into Beta testing Tomtom's new product line, this is my first GPS and I paid $200 for it, I wanted a great experience right out of the box. As it is I'm just feeling a bit sad about the whole thing, and even the charming customer service hasn't made that go away.

The thing is, this is a really nice piece of engineering. It is super easy to set up and use. It works in a fundamentally different way to previous Tomtoms, and you can use it while it is plugged into your computer. A friend of mine has an earlier Tomtom and I know she gets frustrated at not being able to access her Tomtom while it is attached to her computer so that is a definite plus. I'm not complaining about the device itself, it is very cool. I'm told that this model is the future of Tomtom, and that in time it will do everything the other models do and more, but the fact is that it doesn't do that now, today, April 5th 2011.

So. Early adopters and devoted beta testers rejoice! This is definitely the Tomtom for you. Buy one and enjoy yourselves. But those of you who, like me, just want to get where you are going with a bit of fun along the way, and the least amount of hassle, might want to pick something else. TomTom VIA 1505 5-Inch Portable GPS Navigator

I bought this GPS right before my trip around the south western United States that encompasses Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Colarado, New Mexico, Arizona (where I got a freakin speeding ticket by the cameras for doing 77!), and finally LA back to northern California. I planned my trip with the TomTom by setting the destinations as the state capitols.

Before the trip, I set up all the settings such as color and car icon (which I switched to Micky mouse) and the welcome and goodbye screens. The personalization is limitless with the Tomtom Home application you install on your computer, there you can update the firmware and maps (lifetime maps), also you can choose from thousands of screens and car icons, a very big plus. I changed the voice to a Indian accent, which cost a dollar or two but was hilarious.

Performance wise, I'd say is very on par with TomTom's reputation. Recalculations do not take more than 7-9 seconds, also satellite signal lock, while not instant, was much faster than any of my other friends GPS units. My only gripe is, whenever you exit the freeway or dont exit the freeway when you are supposed to, the unit can't sense it until the exit or stretch of freeway goes beyond the circle of triangulation. This problem I have seen on every single GPS unit I have seen or owned, even on the Lexus I used to drive that senses wheel turn. It's not a very big deal, but be aware that this is a very pervasive problem among GPS units.

The menu is very simple, with large icons that relate to its function. Typing is very easy, like texting on a smart phone that does not have physical keys, although if you have big fingers, you might mistype sometimes, not a deal breaker by any means, just type steady. Know that the 5 inch screen is comparatively big. The 1505 also comes with Voice recognition so you can just speak your destination.

The resolution is 480 by 272 pixel resolution. Its dimensions are 4.7 inches long by 3.1 inches wide 1 inch deep, and it weighs 6.5 ounces, not very large and can fit any pocket, cubby or glovebox.

You get two extra gigabytes of memory than the cheaper models: 4 GB. But, it doesn't have a SD card slot which really really sucks, but I guess 4GB will suffice.

Battery life, averaged, is about 2 hours, i found if you switch off voice guidance and lower the brightness, you get a little more. Thats not bad, as most trips i take are less than 2 hours, i really do not like having to plug in the cigarette adapter.

The 1505 comes with an integrated mounting feature like most TomToms, which is a really nice feature. Basically, your mount is connected to the back of your device, and you simply pull it out when you want to set up your TomTom on your dashboard.

You also receive a variety of other applications, including Map Share, IQ Routes and Advanced Lane Guidance. Map Share allows you to update your TomTom map as often as you like for free. This ensures that you always have the latest road information for free.

The IQ Routes application ensures you never get stuck in traffic. This feature actually downloads the latest traffic information to provide you with the shortest route to your destination. It doesn't just go by the posted speed limit of a road; it actually pulls up how fast cars are actually moving which is a real lifesaver, especially when I was going through LA. LA traffic especially along 101 is notorious and I was very very grateful that the 1505 actually sensed the traffic speed and gave me a short cut to ahead of where the traffic was. Like the Maps, the traffic feature is lifetime too, and it doesn't have ads like I have seen on some Garmin GPS units.

The Advanced Lane Guidance feature is for anyone who's ever missed a turn because they were in the wrong lane. This feature will visually show you how many lanes lead to which exit so you can be sure if your lane will work.

If you want a big screen and a pack of features, then the TomTom VIA 1505 is for you. The 1505 with the lifetime maps and traffic is pretty much standard fare, all you need in a GPS unit with lifetime road and map info, TomTom menu simplicity, and a huge screen; all for just 200. However the deal breaker for some might be that the 1505 doesn't have hands free, but that was fine for me, I have a bluetooth device on my stereo.

in the box:

- TomTom 1505TM

- Suction mount (to mount to window or dashboard pad)

- Dashboard pad (blastic circle that provides a stable surface for the suction mount)

- USB cable

- Cigarette adapter

- Set Up Guide

- 1 code, valid for Lifetime Map/Traffic updates

When i bought this 1505 model, i purchased the 1535 VIA as well for a friend who's birthday is coming up. It is basically the same exact thing as the 1505 but it has bluetooth handsfree for only like 20 bucks more. I didn't need that feature because my car already has bluetooth. We switched our units for like a week, and honestly, i could not tell it was hers except for the fact that she didn't download the Indian accent voice package on hers.

Side note, i recently clarified with my friend, she says the 1535 does have a SD card slot, so thats one more extra feature of the 1535 - Gps - Large Screen - Lifetime Maps - Easy To Use'

Cookbook

This wonderful book is packed with delicious recipes that are good for you too. The book starts out with 10 tips to make your smoothie it's best. Then fruit and vegetable glossaries describe each fruit, its nutritional value and its health benefits. There is also a thorough explanation on fruit and vegetable preparation. Other ingredients used such as peanut butter and milk products as well as additives like wheat grass are also discussed in detail. A seasonal fruit chart and a brief overview of essential nutrients are nice bonusesThere are recipes for almost anything including energy, weight control, PMS, hot flashes, morning sickness, anemia, libido, bone building, stress and even some that boost your immune system when you get sick. There are also special sections for kids and men. Conveniently, each recipe contains complete nutritional information. My favorite recipes are the constants craving, grape escape and protein jolt. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to make quick, easy, nutritious meals without cooking. Super Smoothies: 50 Recipes for Health and Energy

I bought my blender last year and used it exactly once, before I bought this book, that is. Now with a whole collection of delicious and nutricious blender drinks to make, hardly a day goes by that the blender doesn't get a workout! The concept of smoothies is ideal for a single working person with little time to cook dinner because of long hours. And the best thing is it is healthy!

Being a bonafide smoothie addict, I can say that this is the best book of smoothie recipes I've ever run across. As a small size smoothie at the mall costs $2.25, this book pays for itself in no time at all and is worth every cent. I loved the breakdown of nutritional values which is very helpful for anyone watching their calorie intake. The variety is spectacular with inclusion of even vegetable recipes. If you're looking for a good change of pace in your diet, definitely try out these delicious recipes. You won't be disappointed!

The authors' write, "It's hard to imagine what smoothies would be without bananas." I say "TRY!" Nearly half the 50 recipies in the book have banana in them, so unless you are a major banana fan (which clearly, I am not), I would pass on this one. I'm going to.

I absolutely LOVE this book! I think the receipes are creative and fun with easy to find ingredients. The book starts with descriptions of each ingredient and its' health benefits and goes into preparation techniques and even explains the job of 'binders' in smoothies. I really love the way each smoothie has a 'job'; they list smoothies for PMS, for extra energy, for weight-loss, morning sickness, snacking, and for kids. The book also has receipes for specific male issues, like virility. I think this is the best beginner smoothie book on the market. The receipes go from basic banana-strawberry to exotic tomato and avacado smoothies. And each receipe lists detailed nutritional information, which is great if you're trying to cut back on fats or carbs, for example. This book proves smoothies aren't just a treat anymore, they can be a beautiful addition to a healthy diet as well as curing what ails you! Try the "Constant Craving" apple smoothie- it's my favorite.Buy it!! Trust me, you won't regret it!!

I really can't complain about the content of this book, I find most of the smoothies to be yummy and refreshing. However, I wanted one smoothie book to use with my blender and this isn't the only book I ended up getting. Plus, I've had this book for only about three months and I'm already getting tired of thumbing through it and seeing the same stuff. I really wish I had purchased a book that focused more on the quantity of recipes and less on the pictures of the recipes it did contain within (as this book does). I ended up purchasing Smoothies, Shakes & Frappes ISBN 1579121721 for about half the price and, with no disrespect to these authors, found this to be a better choice if it really is quantity of smoothie and shake recipes you are looking for.

This book is a must for people who want to learn how to make smoothies. I've been through three books, and lots of money wasted on fruit and all kinds of groceries just trying to create a great tasting smoothie. I just got this book two days ago, and I already have made four smoothies that came out perfect! I like not adding ice cream or frozen yogurt to the reciepes it's all mainly fresh fuit or veggies. You gotta have this book!

I purchased this book for myself, but I was thinking that it would make a great gift for that "person who has everything". Also as a wedding gift, with a nice blender! I really enjoy this book and the healthy and yummy smoothies.

...As soon as I got the book in the mail I went down to my local market and picked up some fruit. That alone is worth the price of the book. If this book does anything it'll make the reader more insightful to nutrition and it will force them to eat more fruits and vegetables. Not bad for a...book I think. The recipes are so simple to follow. The ingredients, for the most part, can be purchased in any local fruit stand. Yes, there are some obscure ingredients. I had no idea what silken tofu was until I read the preface. The stuff tastes great! Don't be afraid to try and drink something new and different. After all, what would you rather drink, soda or a smoothie? It takes a matter of minutes to put one of these drinks together - and that includes the preparation which usually doesn't entail anything more then a peeling here or there. If you have kids they will go nuts for this stuff. You can make them together. Then DRINK them together! Yum!'

Jeans

These are my husband's favorite jeans. He doesn't like to shop, and the stores I go to don't carry these jeans, so when I found them on Amazon I had to buy them. They arrived quickly and my husband is very happy with them. I will be ordering more for him from Amazon in the future! Carhartt Men's Relaxed Fit Jean, Darkstone, 38x28

1st pair of Carhartt's and I love the way they fit. I also like that I can get them in 28" inseam. Me having short legs being able to buy jeans that I don't have to have hemed is great. I have already ordered another style.....

This jean fits my husband perfectly. He can wear it for work or going out on the town and look amazing every time. He and I swear by it as it looks good, feels good, and lasts as long as a pair of jeans should.

These jeans are durable, high quality, and arrived exactly as advertised! I'm not able to find the variety that I'd like locally. At Amazon, I found a better selection of denim and sizes than I could in my local stores.

the 2 pant really was a disappointment...the zippers would not stay up and after three washings , they start getting holes in them...i have had jackets , shirts , and coveralls from carhartt and was very satisfy...carhartt has always had a good rep...but now I don't know how to feel................

The color is just perfect, not too loud and not too faded. The fit is great for moving around and doing heavy duty lifting, plus you can adjust the pants leg for both boots and shoes.

Pockets are just the right size. Besides that, it does the job without drawing away from your shirt or you.'

Elastic Waist - sweatpants, pants

I had purchased this product several years ago and have been looking for them ever since. No one seemed to have just a Jersey Pant product, everything seemed to be 'Fleece' lined.

After searching on Amazon.com, I found these pants. They are great! They are comfortable and easy to take care of. I recently fractured my back in 6 places and wearing anything with a belt or heavy waist cuff is not comfortable at all. These ARE! They look good and afford comfort during my recovery. Now that I know what this offering is like, I'll buy some extra pairs.

Worth buying! Champion Men's Jersey Pant,Black,X-Large

the fabric is much thinner than I expected. good pants to wear arround the house, but average to go outdoors to sports with them.

the "champion" logo is not sewn in the pants, it is glued to them, which is rather dissapointing.

Gotta have pockets on my sweat pants, just gotta - these have them. They are very lightweight material - I'd say it's a tossup between a plain T-shirt and these sweat pants on which is lighter material. A little lighter than I expected, but as advertised. My only complaint is there's no elastic around the ankles - if it's the wrong length it just hangs. The picture doesn't show elastic, so my bad, but I'm still whining anyway.

Comfortable for lounging during the day, but very good for my daily dog walks with my two best friends. Since I can't buy them at any local stores, having reasonably priced online purchases available, make these long jersey pants true "Champions."

These pants are great---------------I wear them all the time and forget about other parts of my wardrobe. They are so comfortable, excellent for the gym, good for sleeping in when with mixed company. Wear them anywhere. They wash beautifully. I do not worry about them shrinking too much as they have a lot of length to them. Give em a try, you will not be sorry! Amazon was very prompt with their shipping.

These arrived very quickly even though I got the free standard shipping. Hub doesn't like anything unless its in the back of his closet from the 80s, so I had to force him to try them on and he actually liked them. His going back to the gym required he get some more workout pants to supplement the one pair of zebra-print weightlifter genie pants he had been using exclusively. He is 6'5", 34 waist, 36 inseam, sometimes meandering into 36 waist territory, and the Large fit him perfectly. Not too tight so he can workout in them, but not too baggy so he doesn't look goofy, and the length is unusual in that they are actually long enough for him - always a problem. They are in the wash now waiting to be put in the dryer. I use the super hot sanitary setting, also clicking the buttons for stain cycle, pre-wash and heavy cleaning, so we will see if they shrank or not, but for now they couldn't be more perfect.

These pants fit me perfect! I don't like the regular sweatpants that kind of feel "heavy", these sweatpants are lightweight and fantastic. They are perfect summer pants for around the house and going out to the park. - Warm-ups - Sweatpants - Pants'
