Blackberry Car Charger - micro usb, blackberry

Bought this car charger for the BlackBerry Bold 9700. With its Micro USB it fits perfectly. This is a RIM product with the BlackBerry logo. If you have a BlackBerry with a Universal Micro USB you cannot go wrong buying this charger. The Micro USB port is smaller than the Universal Mini USB port. Therefore, Micro and Mini USB accessories are not interchangeable. Generally, the Micro USB is on newer phones. This charger will not work with the Bold 9000 (which was the first Bold to hit the market and is usually known simply as "Bold".) BlackBerry Original Car Charger for BlackBerry Pearl 8220, Gemini 8520, Curve 8900, Storm2 9520, Storm 9530,Tour 9630, Bold 9700

Once again Amazon has show why it is such a great company. It offers authentic products at a reasonable price and this is the case here. This charger would cost around 4-5 times as much in a brick and mortar retail store. Why pay more?

My friends, I am happy to say this device works splendidly, and works quite well with my HTC EVo. The device itself was created by Blackberry, and I am sure for Blackberry, but it works without any error among devices which maintain a micro-usb port (as far as I know). The one flaw I did find (and minor at that), is when you insert the charger into the car plug. The insertion can be a bit tight upon the first couple of uses, and may become more worn over time, and therefore, less tight, but I have not been using it long enough to discover that of yet. I would highly recommend this product at the splendid price of $7.00, and if you couple it with another item which qualifies as a super-saver shipping item, then you'll pay nothing more for shipping ($25.00 and above, I believe). Cheers my friends, and may you "Live long and Prosper". :)

Bought it for my girlfriend to charge her Blackberry Curve 8530 while she is driving and using GPS. Works great, came in good packaging. Ordered it in the late afternoon on a Thursday and received in the next day with Prime! Would recommend to anybody who wants to save money.

Even though this is Blackberry brand, it only seems to be giving low amperage to my Blackberry phone. It takes a very long time to charge the phone with this charger .. my wife's Motorola car charger does a much quicker job of charging my Blackberry than with this one.

I order these a few months back and got them from Amazon and they were Genuine BlackBerry products which are Great.

I needed more, I'm buying for my companys Sales team who are out on the road, so I placed an order and apperently Amazon was out so I decided to use one of the "other" sellers. I order 6 from ACC Stop and received generic off brand items, I contacted the company and they allowed me to return them and credited my back.

I still needed charges so I checked again and Amazon still was out so this time I thought I'd contact the "other" seller BEFORE I ordered and verify that they were infact Genuine BlackBerry Brand items so I emailed "The OEM Shop" and asked if their product was "a BlackBerry Brand items" which they replied with "Yes it is". I then moved forward and ordered 6 of these from them, "The OEM Shop". Today I receive a package in the mail with only 2 charges (so I was shorted 4) and guess what THEY WERE NOT BlackBerry Brand items. I promptly emailed the company requesting a return label and refund, I am waiting to hear back from them. I checked today and was able to order the item from Amazon, which I know are going to be GENUINE. This has been such a hassle!

So the moral of the story is ONLY BUY FROM AMAZON!!! - Blackberry - Car Charger - Bold 9700 - Micro Usb'

Architectural Photography - art, zone system

Here's a case where Amazon's star rating sytem doesn't work very well. As described below, for a very small number of photographers this book will prove useful. For the vast majority of photographers it will not.

I've long been an admirer of the work of Bruce Barnbaum. An original Barnbaum print hangs on my wall. A copy of his book of photographs, "Visual Symphony" graces my coffee table. Several years ago I purchased a used copy of the original, but then out of print, "The Art of Photography" at an outrageous price. I have to confess that much of the book was unread because it dealt with film photography, and I had long since made the switch to digital.

Now "The Art of Photography" has been reissued in a revised form, supposedly updated for the digital age. The book attempts to cover all of photography from visualization to hanging the print on the wall. There are even chapters that discuss ideas like innovation and old saws like truth in photography. There are references to digital photography, but a great deal of the book is devoted to Barnbaum's take on the zone system for film photography, including processing film to increase (or decrease) the range of light captured on the negative. There is a tip of the hat to digital photography, including the importance of the camera's histogram to capture exposure, and reference to high dynamic range photography to increase the range of light for digital captures but the heart of the book is film. The book is illustrated with Barnbaum's photographs, mostly in black-and-white, and they are drop-dead beautiful. If you like Ansel Adams you will love Bruce Barnbaum's images.

I suppose these images alone may justify the updating. Certainly the content will be interesting to those who still practice black-and-white film photography, although I suspect that these folks, already being specialists, may be familiar with what the author has to say. (I really can't comment on that; it's been years since I worked in a chemical darkroom.) The digital photographer will find that there just isn't enough detail in looking to this book for technique. It's a shame because I would have loved to see an explanation of how to achieve Barnbaum's beautiful effects in Lightroom or Photoshop.

The sections on the artistic aspects of photography are interesting but somewhat elementary. Barnbaum doesn't succeed in telling us what it is in an image that turns it from just an image to art. (Of course, I really don't know any authors who do this, although there are several people, most recently George Barr in "Why Photographs Work: 52 Great Images Who Made Them, What Makes Them Special and Why", who have made valiant efforts to accomplish this impossible task.)

The bottom line is that if you are unfamiliar with Barnbaum's work, this book is worth it for the images. If you are a film photographer, the technical data may prove useful. If you are a digital photographer looking for technical help, look elsewhere. The Art of Photography: An Approach to Personal Expression

For someone who had no previous formal education in art of any sort including photography, this is the best book I came across. I was looking for a book that is not too advanced to understand about artistic compositions, but not too shallow that it simply tell you to apply "higher contrast is better", "the rule of the third", "the golden ratio" etc. without enough explanation. I actually came across some books like that which left me even more confused about compositions. Most of the time, I just blindly apply whatever I learned of composition.

But this book is totally different. It starts talking about the philosophy of how photography is connected personally to the photographer. Then it gives a detail analysis of all the elements of composition with great examples and with a language that even an amateur can understand. Best of all, the author did a great job at interconnecting all the elements to help the reader understand the importance of applying a combination of elements instead of focusing on just one of two of the elements. It is like putting all the puzzles together to solve a great mistery.

If you want to find a book that will teach you composition and connect yourself to your photography, this is the book.

I bought this book on a recommendation and I have been less than satisfied with it. The author seems more preoccupied with proving himself than teaching readers photography. In one chapter he dedicates several pages to defending his artistic work against critics.

He is neither clear or concise either. There is a lot of text but not much being said. And when he does try to make a point, its rarely clear as to what he is trying to say. There is little to no practical advice in the book for digital photography either. If you shoot film, he devotes several chapters to that, which may be greatly helpful if you shoot film. For digital photography there is little relevance in several chapters of the book.

In short this book is not worth the price. You read a lot but gain very little information.

If you would like to find a book that will take you into a deeper, more comprehensive understanding of what makes for a great photograph then this book does that and more. I have read maybe 50 or so books over the past few years and most of them deal with techniques for taking and making images but I don't recall any of them attempting to define those attributes that make a photograph captivating. Barnbaum goes into a comprehensive examination (with many examples) of what separates art from the ordinary. It really is a tour de force. Very well thought out and thought through. There are a few chapters on film processing, B&W print making (in the darkroom) which may have limited appeal and represent less than 20 to 25% of the content. The heart of the book is Barnbaum's incredible insights in photography and the amateur photographer. This edition is updated and his comments have great applicability to current digital technology. An added bonus is how well Barnbaum's own photographs are reproduced, how they make us want to reconsider the power of black and white photography, and how well they are integrated into the text (a tip of the hat to the publisher). - Art - Zone System - Black And White - Composition'

Presentation - presentation, powerpoint

This item has a very nice feel and appearance. But in using it, I found that the laser button is positioned too closely to the Next and Previous buttons. I would frequently touch one when intending to touch another. I am purchasing a different brand where the keys are more separated. Logitech Wireless Presenter R400 with Red Laser Pointer

This is a great item. It does exactly what it says it will. You get back and forward buttons, as well as buttons to start the presentation and to blank (or unblank) the screen. There is also a laser pointer.

It is small and runs on two standard batteries. The doggle stores in the base and the whole think comes with a case.

My XP laptop running Powerpoint 2003 recognized it instantly and required zero configuration.

My only complaint is that the laser pointer is fairly weak and does not show up very clearly in a bright room. I also wish the technology were there to allow it to communicate without a doggle. Bluetooth? Probably not enough range. What about Wifi? Can Wifi make this sort of connection? In any event, this works really well and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

One important thing is that it is small enough to fit in your palm and you can fairly easily hide it from view.

Also, I have not noticed any interference with wireless mics.

Normally, logitech devices are easy to use and handy. This one is also easy to use, small and portable. But one thing it doesn't have that disappointed me was the click button. One cannot play a video or music from a distance with this one. Since I'm a musician my presentations are highly relied upon this feature. So, if you think you don't need a click and just need to show your slides, this is a perfect fit for you, but otherwise, I don't recommend it.

I use this product nearly all day every day, teaching my students using PowerPoint without being restricted to being next to my computer. I have used a few similar products in the past (mostly Targus), but this one has been superior in every respect.

Here are the highlights for me:

1. Ease of use: It's plug-and play right out of the box. The controls are well-placed and easy to find without even looking. Before I bought it, a few people said the "Exit" button was too easy to accidentally hit, but I haven't found that to be a problem even once. Unlike other presenters I've used, this one never "stalls" or fails to be recognized.

2. Build Quality: The product is solidly built. The ergonomics are great. The buttons are solid and intuitive. The "forward" button even has a raised dot, so your thumb can easily recognize it. The laser pointer is not exceedingly strong, but it's definitely usable in all but the brightest rooms. That the USB plug fits into the pointer is a great plus, even though mine never leaves the computer. I expect it to last for a long time.

3. Features: The feature set is simpler than some other models (like it's fancier brother with a built-in timer and stronger laser), but the features on this model are enough for most users (I time almost everything in my class in many intervals, so the timer wouldn't have been practical for me.).

4. Battery Life: I've been using mine constantly for 2 weeks now on two rechargeable batteries, and the indicator on startup still shows a full charge.

Two aspects I can't report on are range (I've used mine only in a medium-sized classroom) and customer service (haven't needed it).

All in all, this product isn't particularly different from others out there, but it performs better at basically the same price. - Powerpoint - Remote - Laser Pointer - Presentation'

Woodworking - tools, bladerunner

I trolled through Craigslist for a couple of weeks, trying to find a benchtop drill press, for a reasonable price. Everyone wanted near-new prices, for their used equipment, with few features, and unknown quality. I shopped local tool supply stores, but nearly all such benchtop units only had 1/4 (0.25), or 1/3 (0.33) HP, at best. This unit has 2/5, or 4/10, or 0.4 HP -- just shy of 1/2 (0.5) HP! It will drill wood, soft metals such as aluminum and brass, stainless steel, iron, and even medium carbon steel.

Adjusting the speed by changing the drive belt on the pulleys, is easy, and straightforward (speed is determined by material you wish to drill: the chart is listed inside the door on top, which is opened to adjust the belts, and the speed). Adjusting the belt tension with the motor, is simple. Minimal assembly is required, out of the box (took me less than 30 minutes). It runs smoothly, drills accurately, and it is simple to use.

Be certain to bolt this unit to your workbench! It weighs around 50 lbs, and if it fell off of your bench, you will be lucky if the only thing that breaks is your drill! It is solidly constructed. I would buy another product from this vendor, and this manufacturer, without hesitation. Cheers! POWERTEC 5 Speed Baby Drill Press - Tools - Drill Press - Bladerunner - Benchtop Drill Presses'

Cheap Snorkel Set - youth snorkel set, snorkeling set

Excellent, my child has boy size 6 and i have women's shoe size 9 and they fit us both perfectly. I would recommend for anyone just starting out in snorkeling boy size 5-7, mens size 6-8, women's sizes 8-9.5 should be fine with this set. The goggles are great and adjustable. Best bang for the buck and lots of fun. Aviator Sports Set

Great snorkeling set for the price. We are adults, and used this on vacation. Durable enough for casual use, not sure about more daily use. It was compact, not heavy, lots of fun. Only drawback was the bag it came in, the carrying handle wasn't very strong and started to come apart. We read a review that said the set came in blue although yellow was pictured, but we were hoping to get the blue ones- we thought yellow was a bit loud. They did arrive in blue!

Overall I like this set. There were two problems though: first the fins are way to big for my 8 year old and constantly fall off his feet. They fit my adult woman size 9.5 feet though. He has taken to borrowing my fins when we go out together since they are adjustable. Second, the clip that holds the snorkel to the mask doesn't fit snug on the snorkel. It slides too easily up and down which makes it difficult for my novice snorkeler to hold onto it. With a few adjustments we are able to use the set and I will likely buy another one for my younger daughter (with separate fins). - Youth Snorkel Set - Snorkeling Set'

Strapless Heart Rate Monitor - heart rate monitor, heart rate monitor watch

This watch is loaded with features: It accurately measures out your heart rate, it calculates how many calories you've burned through exercise, it's a full-function stop watch, you can even imput how many calories you've consumed and will sound an alarm when you've exceded your daily limit. I've had mine for two years and the only thing I had to do was change the battery. Mio Classic Select Heart Rate Monitor Watch

I've been using this monitor with TurboFire/Chalean Extreme and similar cardio workouts for close to a year. I read some of the other reviews about how it's hard to get a reading while actively jogging, etc. That could be true. I usually check my heart rate at natural breaks during my workout, where I'm transitioning from one move to another. For that type workout, it gets a read quickly and accurately - at least, it's a consistent reading based on how I feel. I'm actually addicted to using the monitor and don't enjoy my workouts as much without it. Guess I like getting feedback about how hard I'm working or something.

Cons: it is bulky and not exactly attractive. But I'm sweaty and not exactly attractive when I'm wearing it, right????

Bottom line, luv it...luv it!

Overall, this heart rate monitor watch was a big disappointment. As for accuracy, the monitor was pretty close to the heart rate monitors on the treadmills at the gym. The problem with this monitor is that it works very inconsistently. Sometimes, it will give a reading in a matter of seconds. Most times, however, the little heart icon will flash as if it is taking a reading but it never actually displays one. If you keep the button pushed down long enough with no results displayed, it reverts back to the clock. One evening, I spent a good hour pressing and repressing the heart monitor button and never did get a result. Would recommend NOT buying this item.

1) Accurate heart rate (concurred with machine heart rate monitors) 2)Inexpensive 3) Acceptably comfortable .

I've read some of the other reviews and one in particular helped me to get an accurate heart rate every time. The keys are to use the pads of your fingers, not the tips, and also to make sure that there is contact between the metal battery cover and the top of your wrist while taking a reading. Even when running at a good pace I get an accurate heart rate. So far so good ... had it about a month now.

My new watch is really a hi-tech item. It adds all your daily calories, and then subtracts them as you exercise, which gives you a running total of your calorie expenditure. Doubling as a heart rate monitor, you can check your heart rate as you exercise. I am very pleased with this item.

I bought this watch about three weeks ago, and it's a fairly good watch. However, it doesn't give the most accurate readings (compared to those that have the separate chest strap). Also, it's a bit bulky, but I got used to it. For the price, I'm pleased with my purchase!

Not having a bulky chest belt seemed like a great idea, unless you want to know what your heart rate is. The MIO unit said 64, 128, 192, etc. It is so inaccurate as to be useless. This is my first review because I want to help someone else avoid wasting their money and adding stress to their excersize routine. - Strapless Heart Rate Monitor - Heart Rate Monitor - Watches - Heart Rate Monitor Watch'

Htc Thunderbolt Screen Protector - amzer, htc

Received the item ok but, it is junk. at least the one i got is defective and does not work. I have the HTC Thunderbolt and the phone does not recognize the charger at all. the light on the charger comes on and that is it. For only a couple of bucks i will not even waste more time or effort trying to send it back. Do yourself a favor and spend a little extra for a quality charger. Advice I should have followed in the first place. Premium Car Charger For HTC ThunderBolt

I've used a lot of electronic equipment over the years and have never had a product fail this fast. It worked great for the first month but it just quit working on me. I highly recommend buying a more robust product.

Chris

Cheap is the word. It doesn't cost much but it feels like it. Very light. But so light it feels insubstantial. It works just fine. It's just that it's feel gives me concern about its longevity. But for the money? It's well worth it. You can feel confident it will work. If you like heavier, spend more money.

This charger is working well for me. I pretty much use it at least once a day while driving because the original battery on the Thunderbolt doesn't last very long when all functionality of the phone is turned on. - Htc - Thunderbolt - Amzer - Hard Case'
