This battery doesn't match the matte black finish of the MacBook, but I actually like the matte/shiny contrast. If you're an Apple purist and put great stock in the company's aesthetic, this battery will disrupt the look of your MacBook. As far as its practical virtues, the battery behaves exactly as the factory-issued one did (except that this time I'll take the battery out when I have the laptop lugged in and hopefully avoid the bloated battery situation that made me buy this in the first place).



This battery has the light up indicator present on the factory-issued batteries (surprisingly), but (unsurprisingly) it didn't work properly from the beginning. It's a very minor concern for me--I never really used the indicator, except to pretend the battery was a futuristic landmine.



Overall, the item is a functional alternative to paying Apple twice as much for a slightly higher quality replacement. I debated whether to give this battery a 3 or 4, but I settled on 3 because of the broken indicator lights. Had to get a new battery when I accidentally fried mine - don't ask - and was loathe to spend the $120 that Apple and any authorized Apple seller was demanding. You know Apple doesn't MAKE the batteries, right? They buy them just like any other computer company. So after some internet searching, I found this for less than HALF the price of the Apple original and ordered. It arrived a coupla days early, I slapped it onto my anxiously waiting Macbook, and haven't looked back. It holds a charge better than the original, and even the most dedicated Apple devotee would find it impossible to fault. If you need a new battery, or just want a spare, don't sleep. Buy this.

In less than 2 hours my battery life has gone from 100% to 30%. Needless to say, I'm constantly charging it. Also, the magnetic connector for the power chord doesn't fit as snugly as with the original battery. Consequently, it can easily get disconnected.

It looks like an Apple battery.

It powers up like an Apple battery.

But it lasts about half as long and the shutdowns are not graceful.



I would buy an original, as much as I hate to fork out $120 for a friggin battery, it's night and day.

I have had it for about a month now, and found that it works... but that is about it. It takes about 5ish hours to charge and then lasts for about an hour. It is alright as a cheap backup, but I'd get something with a little bit more life if it were to be my main battery.

It would get no stars if they allowed it. I thought I could get this and get by . . . but it is not worth the trouble. After about 5 charges it shows full batteries but has very little charge. I'll be returning it.

I received this Macbook A1185 OEM battery, and from the get go it wouldn't charge. System profiler showed plenty of capacity and voltage but no current. Multi-touch - 1920x1080, monitor

Overall, I highly recommend this product to potential purchasers.



I bought this product from an Amazon competitor because I needed it quickly and it was not in stock. Of course, I paid more for both the item and shipping (about $400 total).



Pros: 1) At the time of purchase (October 31, 2009), the Acer T230H is the largest multi-touch display available.

2) It brings out the multi-touch capabilities of any Windows 7 laptop/desktop.

3) It can be moved from computer to computer as needed. We have tested it on both laptops and desktops running Windows 7 and it performs flawlessly.



Cons: 1) I was not able to complete the calibration routine as part of setup. I had difficulty getting the T230H to recognize the lower left calibration corners using a stylus from a Windows XP Tablet computer. I canceled calibration and used the factory settings. The T230H reads the lower left corners fine with its factory settings so this is really not an issue.

2) The unit is much more expensive than a regular 1920x1080 display. I'm sure it will come down in price as more vendors carry it.

3) For best results (individual use), the T230H requires something like an Ergotron arm so that the screen is better positioned for touch input (positioned more like a keyboard resting on the desktop). However, the unit is great for demonstrating multi-touch applications to others when using its included stand. 4) The display includes a 3-year carry-in warranty while the HP 2105TM and Dell SX2210T take better care of their users.

I just purchased a new computer with Windows 7 and wanted an nice High-Definition screen to go along with it and settled upon the Acer T230H. I mostly wanted a fantastic screen for surfing the web, writing reports, and watching movies and frankly the touch was just a nice extra feature. It is an "Optical Touch Screen". In other words, it uses two infra-red sensors in the upper left and upper right hand corners to sense where your finger(s) (or any object actually) are on the screen.



The Touch-

It is not quite as accurate as the iPhone's touch screen but then again everything is bigger on a 23" screen lol. It does however work with the back of pencils, pens, corners of paper, tops of water bottles, actually just about any solid object can be used to interact with this touch screen. As far as I know, the iPhone can only respond to skin on screen interactions. The touch actions themselves on the T230H are very responsive with little effort at all. You can even bring your finger very close to the surface without touching the screen and the computer will respond to your position and click wherever your finger is about 1mm above the surface of the screen. I still find myself using the mouse often because I don't want to raise my arms for long periods of time. One area the touch has great potential is when viewing/editing photos. It is very helpful to just "flick" between photos and also to zoom and rotate photos. Using it to scroll on web pages is also fun and often easier than clicking on the bar or up/down arrows on the left of the browser.





This monitor comes with a screen that rotates on the base left or right, can be moved up and down, or angled up or down. It helps so you don't hurt your neck looking up or down depending upon your height and seating arrangement.

The screen is excellent, very clear, high-contrast, and of course is best used with High-Def (1080) resolution. The monitor has multiple settings such as "TEXT", "GRAPHICS", and "MOVIE". The "TEXT" setting is definitely easier on the eyes when reading for long periods.





I liked the screen enough to purchase again and now I have two Acer T230H's next to each other. Yes, with Windows 7 and a compatible graphics card you can have a dual High-Def touch monitors! You can drag windows from one screen onto the other and then "grab it" with your finger on the other screen and put it where you want.



After all my bragging here are some Cons:



1) Speakers suck. Volume barely loud enough to hear if you have any background noise whatsoever. Definitely need external computer speakers if planing to listen to music, watch movies, etc.



2) The optical touch system require extra thickness and hence the screen are not as thin as most high quality non-touch LCDs.



3) No LED backlight.

Conclusion-



Overall I had no problems other than a stuck base that needed a good firm twist to loosen up so I could rotate the screen left-right at will. I purchased the Terk Leapfrog to control my Tivo from the bedroom, after running cables for the audio/video through the wall. In the end, this has worked excellently for me - so let me explain why it doesn't get the full 5 stars.



Initial setup with this product couldn't be easier. You simply unpack the two pieces, plug in the two included AC adapters - and that's it! I was surprised there was no programming it to accept certain IR codes... it just picks up whatever the remote might be throwing out, and relays it appropriately. When I first unpacked it, I set the one unit right in front of my Tivo, sitting about 2 inches from the Tivo's IR receiver. I took the other one into our bedroom and plugged it in. Presto - I could control the Tivo from the bedroom.



Now that I'd confirmed it worked, I went back to my living room to try and find a nice, out of the way place for the Terk Leapfrog to sit. It obviously had to have a clear line of sight to the Tivo... which I figued left me with plenty of choices. I tried putting it on a bookshelf, that was on quite an angle from the Tivo - but with no luck. I tried hiding it behind a picture frame (where is still had a clear line of sight to the Tivo) on a table that was closer to the Tivo... but again no luck. I went on to try 4-5 other places around the room, but could never make it work consistently.



Finally, I placed it *behind* the tivo, and used the included IR 'extender' (which is a little cable, with a peanut sized IR transmitter on the end). I snaked this little cord under the tivo, and then attached the little IR transmitter so it's aiming right at the Tivo's IR reciever. This, finally, worked. Just for comparison, I can aim my Tivo remote almost anywhere in the room and have the signal picked up by the Tivo, so I'm confident that the Tivo is not the problem here.



So... The good thing about this product is that it does work... the bad thing is that it seems it needs to be aimed by a professional sharpshooter to get the signal to your device.



Pros:

Unlike some other reviewers I've had no problems with this product whatsoever. I was dubious about buying this low-priced unit in light of these other reviews and what I thought would be a challenging environment. I set up the two units easily in less than 5 minutes and it worked great from the get-go. I'm throwing the signal about 50 feet through three household walls (from my house to my mom's house next door). I'm really not sure why other users had problems but I was very pleasantly surprised with how effortlessly it all went together.

You might notice that the newer reviews are harsher than the older ones. I just purchased this from Circuit City and it does not work. I tried a variety of rooms, remotes and configurations and only time it worked was then the remote was less than 6 inches from the sender unit.

As a side note...I have tried to write this review on CC's website and I keep getting an error message...yet the ratings on CC's website are very high- shady.

I agree with the previous reviewer. I had the older style before this new one was sent to me and it was the perfect solution! This newer model (with the same model number, I might add) is useless! You have to be 4 feet in front and aim your remote directly at it for it to work. The older model worked everywhere. Why did Terk have to break this wonderful product! Amazon should stop selling this product. I only wish I could get my money back!

I bought this thing and it does NOT work. I have used other extenders before that DO work in my house. This did NOT work and when I called the Amazon sales distributor, they told me to call Terk. Terk wanted me to pay to send it back to them. I still have it.

It was easy to install but that is where the good points end.



To make this device work, I can not be farther away from the transmitter than 4 feet and even given this short distance, I have to point the remote to be extended at the receiving unit very precisely. I should have cross hairs on my remote controllers ;-) Yes, I know, unbelievable.



Also the infrared transmitting power of the receiver is weak to say the best. It pretty much has to point directly at the device(s) that are the recipients of the remote control signal. It certainly doesn't "flood" the room with the infrared signal. As an electrical engineer I know how easily this could be accomplished.



Please stay away from this product. I am contemplating putting it into my recycle bin - it is absolutely useless....

Small, lightweight and very easy to hookup. Set them in rooms needed, plug them in and wala...I used it for my Direct TV DVR. I upgraded to the Direct TV HD receiver, but couldn't part with my DVR (HD DVR too much $ right now). I put the DVR in another bedroom and then bought these so that we could access the DVR from the living room. Works great...just like the DVR was in the living room with us. Hightly recommend. Now my 55' HDTV is at it's full potential. Full-bust Sportswear - bra, fruit of the loom

For those of us who have been blessed up top, these aren't the greatest bras for anything more intense than walking. For the price, they're good for everyday use, or you can even double up for a more intense workout which seems to work for me. If you don't wish to double up, though, then go for a more expensive bra. 3-pack, Tank Style Sport Bras, Fruit of the Loom

These sports bra wear and wash well, but they run a size smaller than your typical size. I suggest if you wear a 34 typically in a regular bra, you order a 36 in this sports bra. So on and so forth. Great price.

I first found these Fruit of the Loom at a K-Mart over ten years ago. I live mostly in the tropics and like the comfort of cotton. This style is very comfortable and I wear it for work and home year round. I have several now. They are easy to get on and off. I don't like racer backs...this style goes about four inches up in the back and does not pinch anywhere. I was so happy to find these through Amazon after many years of looking in stores and not finding them.

I love these wicking cotton sports bras. Most amazing is that they have enough support so I can ride my horse in them, after wearing to work all day. I need a fair bit of support to do sitting trot and I wear the 38, so a bra has to really function.



I bought a few packs 5 months ago. They wash well and have held up well, although I always wash on gentle cycle with gentle soap and line-dry. They run true to size. Unlike runners style sports bras, the tank style straps do not show under a medium-wide neckline shirt. Especially with the colors, they are enough like a crop-top that I can change from work shirt to riding shirt without a changing room.



I am back writing this review because I want to order more.

I'm pretty well-endowed (40DDD) and prefer to sleep in sports bras, but often find them uncomfortable. These are AWESOME -- soft, supportive without being uncomfortable, and a great value. I read some of the other reviews and ordered a size 42, which fits perfectly.



I haven't used them yet for working out, but they would probably be fine for most women. I double-up on sports bras anyway for any but the lowest impact exercise and these would work for that also.

Comfortable active wear bras that I use for every day, and the straps don't show like on a lot of narrow, racer back styles. A long way from the awful thing my mother introduced me to in middle school with gaudy hooks, pointy seams and scratchy polyester (remember them!?)

I was so happy to see that Amazon carries this style. Ten years ago, I bought two and wore them until they wore out. I wasn't able to find the same style again, but recently saw an ad for it in a magazine. A Google search brought me to Amazon. I love it...very comfortable stretch cotton and easily slips on and off. The main reason I like it is that it does not have a racer style back, but has a wide comfortable solid band (more like a regular style bra). I put it in the washing machine and hang to dry.

I ordered three Hanes sports bras for about $10. I figured I wouldn't get anything fancy for ten bucks, but what could I lose? I couldn't believe the high quality and firm support of these bras. I ordinarily pay between $20 and $25 for ONE bra like this. I got these for about $3.50 each.

I've searched for a long time to find a sport bra like this - with normal straps, not racerback, and without hardware. This bra is so comfortable that you will forget you have it on. After reading the other reviews, I was expecting a total piece of garbage. Imagine my surprise when I opened the package to find a premium rubberized purple snap-on cover hard case cell phone protector for my Verzion Motorola Droid. It snapped into place pretty easily, although I have to admit, those first three seconds were tentative. I thought for sure the reviewers were right. But, seeing as how I'm a reasonable human being, I soon found that the slight difficulty in putting the case on the phone was purposeful. You see, a snug fit will ensure that the phone will be safe if it's dropped. During the ten seconds it took me to snap the case onto the phone, I experienced many emotional highs and lows, but thankfully the experience ended happily. This is the second time I've ordered this phone cover.... I expected a purple rubberized phone case... One of which has the raised edges on the front around the upper portion, and not the lower portion near the 4 shortcut buttons... it also has a lip on the top over the front of the phone before the screen truly begins... and a smooth backing...



Literally the ONLY thing that was correct with this purchase was the color. I searched NUMEROUS places to find a phone cover that didn't have a belt clip hole on the back of the cover, and sure enough... This one does.



This was absolutely NOTHING like the picture.







Buyers beware-- If you're expecting this phone cover to look at ALL like this picture, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

I contacted this seller to inquire about returning two phone cases I ordered. The seller told me if I left positive feedback on amazon, they would refund my money, and I wouldn't even have to go through the hassle of returning the cases. As requested, I left positive feedback. However, I have yet to see any sort of refund after a month and a half!

Note that the item I received was not as pictured. It has a hole in the back to make the phone case compatible with a belt or clip. At this price, it was worth the money, and the case has held up well. I have been using it for several months and it is fairly durable. However, I did not want a case that has a square hole in the back, although some people might appreciate that feature.

This cover is pretty, but it's not rubberized as the title suggests. And I wouldn't call it premium. There is enough chemical in it to make the feel of the cover feel slightly rubberized, but the result is a horrible smell that aggravated my headaches. - Motorola Droid - Protective Case - Droid - A855'

Anybody who is reading these reviews for the purpose of buying this product should be aware that a portable satellite radio is not based on the same technology as a Walkman-type radio sold back in 1980s. Satellite radios work by line-of-sight, which requires an unobstructed path between the receiver and its signal source. When properly installed and used, the XMp3i works great for recording and listening to live XM/Sirius broadcasts. However, you must ensure the unit is receiving a strong signal to make it work. If you plan on using it mostly in an automobile (with a live signal), that means purchasing an additional car cradle/antenna. If you wish to use it mostly indoors, you'll need to install the included home dock/antenna properly.



I've had a good experience with the Xmp3i so far. In fact, I was able to listen to live XM/Sirius radio while biking over the weekend with very little interruption. I also used the home dock to record some of my favorite shows for playback later. I believe it is the ability to record programming which is this unit's strong suit. You can record up to five channels at the same time, so getting vast amounts of music/talk on to the device in a timely fashion is easy; provided you have correctly installed the home dock. The playback is flawless and is much more convenient than listening live since you can skip songs, commercials, etc.



The interface seems a little sluggish at times and is not the most intuitive, but it works. Thanks to the microSD slot, you can load up your MP3 library and play your own tunes as well. I was impressed by the overall sound quality from both the satellite feeds and my MP3 files.



The Xmp3i is best-suited for users who will pre-record their music/shows to bring along in the car for playback. It also works well as a standalone device for plugging into your home stereo system. Do not buy this if you want to listen to live XM/Sirius broadcasts when you take the subway to work, or while you're hanging out in mom's basement waiting for some laundry to dry. Though it has a built-in antenna for live reception, the manufacturer clearly intended that to be used in outdoor-only situations. XM XPMP3H1 Portable Satellite Radio and MP3 Player (XMp3i)

This is a great little radio. Reception is great. I love the recording of XM stations feature. BUT, as of this writing, the enclosed software DOES NOT work win WIN 7. So if you have WIN 7, you will not be able to copy mp3 recordings on this unit. Why they (XM) have not fixed this is beyond me. I called XM about this, and they are useless. Cutomer Service immediatly claims no responsibility whatsoever. They tell me to call Microsoft! Unbelievable. WIN 7 has been out for almost a year now. Come on guys!

This receiver has some incredible features. Read everything about it, and you will be amazed. The reception while walking is very good. In most cases, you can put it in the carrying case on your waist, and get good reception. Holding it provides 100% reception. It comes with a "home kit" that has an external antenna that merely needs to be placed on a window sill for 100% indoor reception. I sprang for the lifetime subscription.



Love this radio!!

My XpressRC screen went out, and I needed a replacement. While I tried every way under the sun to find a current radio not made my Audiovox, I couldnt, so decided to try this one, since I dont own an MP3 player, I figured it would be a nice backup when I wanted to listen to something different.



First, this is a satellite receiver. Anyone that expects a satellite receiver to work 100% like an FM radio, doesnt understand the concept. While more forgiving than DirecTv or Dish, you really need to be able to see one of the two satellite locations for uninterrupted reception. Im not going to fault the radio because it blanks out inside a house. It needs an outside (or south window) mounted antenna (included) unless you happen to live where there is a terrestrial repeater (I do).



The radio needed two firmware updates when received. They took about 15 minutes. Added several features and fixed several bugs.



XM audio quality on the included ear buds is good. Much better than I expected.

Sound quality through the powerconnect FM transmitter in my work truck is much better than the previous clip on your FM antenna device. No issues at all in driving around out in the country out of repeater range. Usual dropouts going through tunnels, or under gas station awnings I had with the XpressRC.



The MP3 section is great. Audio quality is excellent. Needs a MicroSD card to store more than 7-10 albums at 256K rate.



Havent tried the song or station recording feature yet. 30 Minute buffer works fine.



Easy to navigate. Now if the screen doesnt burn out like my XpressRC did, Ill be very happy with this receiver. I do plan to try to buy an extended warranty for it though.



It claims 4 hours for XM live, and 16 hours for MP3's. Ive been playing MP3s for 6 hours and the battery indicator hasnt moved yet.



The documentation claims you shouldn't have the radio in an environment over 95 degrees as it will limit the lifetime of the battery. Its 5 degrees warmer than that here in the shade, so I figure 120+ in the truck when its parked.



Might need to keep a spare battery in the fridge :)



If the product holds up to daily use, Ill be a happy camper.

Works great as long as you are standing in the middle of an open field and holding the radio over your head. If you live in a big city, XM does appear have the Clear Channel Repeater System backing up their satellite signal. I am guess that is where the good reviews are coming from. I live in a rural area. Took it to the ball park (no trees) for a morning jog. I could only get a signal while jogging in certain directions. It does work OK at the house hooked to the home dock with the external antenna but that is not why I bought a portable radio.I am boxing it up now to return. - Xm Radio - Portable - Mp3 Player - Xm'

Battery Charger

This is the standard charger that Nikon sells for use with the D40's EN-EL9 battery. The title incorrectly shows it is for charging the EN-EL5. That battery will NOT work with this charger -- the contacts won't line up.



If you do need it for the EN-EL9, it works very well. I'd appreciate a shorter power cord for travel use, but it is detachable so you can switch it out. Nikon MH-23 Quick Charger for EN-EL9 Li-ion Battery

Product works as advertised, but I don't understand why they designed it to need a separate power cord. Canon got it right, their NiMH chargers have flip-out prongs that plug directly into the wall, no additional cord required. A cord is just one more thing to haul around and lose.

This charger does work for both 110 and 240 voltage. There are two spots on the charger where it lists the accepted input. The primary one only says 110V as another reviewer noted, but if you look below in very tiny text it says accepted international input is both 110V and 240V. There should be no trouble using this outside of the US.

I received my charger exactly as advertised, I only wish that the included power cord was also in the picture or mentioned somewhere in the description, as I bought an extra power cord thinking that there was not one with the charger unit. My mistake, I should have asked, but this would be a simple fix.

you do not need to buy the seperate cord for this since it comes with the charger. i bought the $3 cord but it could never hurt to have an extra one right? comes in manufacture box perfectly good to go and i am pleased with the speed of delivery and quality.

Check the camera blogs and you'll see complaint after complaint about this horrible, substandard product, a real low for usual Nikon quality. This product--specifically the contacts--breaks time after time within a few uses, Nikon knows it, but still puts out the same flawed product year after year. They changed the battery design the year later and got rid of this charger, leaving those of us with D90's holding the bag.

I bought a less that $10 supposedly OEM charger and found that although it looked like it, it was not. Did a return and got this puppy. Charges very quickly. It makes me question my need for a spare battery.'
