Extender

Was excited to get this without going to the Audi dealer, but unfortunately, when I tried to access it in my car, it tells me it is not compatible. The specs for this cable are wrong. I was trying to connect my old 3G iPhone. Newest AMI MDI MMI/ iPod Cable Adapter connect Apple iPod iPhone 4, iPhone 3G, iPad to Audi A3/A4/A5/A6/A8/S4/S6/S8/Q5/Q7/R8/TT and Volkswagen Jetta/ GTI/ GLI/ Passat/ CC/ Tiguan/ Touareg/ EOS

This cable did not work with my car, with any iPod or iPhone. I tried my 32GB 2G iPod touch, and then an 80GB iPod classic, neither of which worked with the car. I replaced it with an OEM MDI iPod cable off eBay, which works beautifully. Don't waste your time and money with this piece of trash.'

Dragon Naturally Spe - speech recognition, voice to text

I upgraded from Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 9.5 to version 10.1. I was motivated by the fact that I was upgrading my operating system to Windows 7. There are no versions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking below version 10.1 that will work either on Windows 7, or on a 64-bit operating system. So if you are getting a new computer, and you want to use Dragon, you will definitely have to buy version 10.1.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the upgraded version is more accurate than the older version. It is also extremely easy to train. I dictated several paragraphs to the program, taking less than one half hour, and that was all it took for the program to start recognizing my speech accurately. I do back up my user files to use when I reinstall my operating system, but there is really not that much need to do that since the program is so easy to train. Another feature related to training that may interest prospective buyers is that when you set the program up you can specify a number of English dialects, including Southern, Great Lakes region, Spanish accented, Indian accented, British, etc.

I found that installing this program was only moderately aggravating. I believe that you need to close certain applications before the installation will complete, and sometimes doing this involves invoking the task manager. The last time I installed it, it offered to close the offending applications itself, and the installation process went fairly smoothly.

I like to joke that Dragon NaturallySpeaking always spells everything correctly, but it doesn't necessarily get all the words just right, so a spellchecker is useless in picking up the glitches of the program. And there are glitches. I find that in general I have to make a correction or two every paragraph. For example, in the previous paragraph, Dragon interpreted the word my as being may. The glitches may be corrected verbally very easily, though occasionally you may want to type in the correct word. I find in general that I am able to produce text much more quickly using Dragon then by typing, and my hands appreciate not having to actually type. Since I got acclimatized to using Dragon NaturallySpeaking, I will reach for my headset out of habit before tackling my e-mail or dictating text such as what I am creating now.

Dragon NaturallySpeaking it is natively compatible with Microsoft programs, though it is hit and miss with other programs. For example, I use Thunderbird as my e-mail client, and I have to make allowances for the fact that Dragon does not dictate well into the e-mail pane. The workaround is very easy: establish a cursor where you want to start dictating, then click tools> dictation box, and then you're able to dictate whatever you want into the dictation box. When you want to transfer your text into the text pane, click or say "Transfer", and your text appears where you want it to be. Sometimes you can be surprised as to what Dragon will work with. My instant messenger is AIM, and Dragon NaturallySpeaking works perfectly well with it so I can talk rather than typing the text messages.

Another issue with Dragon NaturallySpeaking is microphones. It ships with a cheap headset microphone that you can use to get started with. You'll find, however, that upgrading to a noise canceling headset microphone increases your dictation accuracy rather sharply. I would advise looking for a USB microphone in the $30 and up range if shopping for an upgrade. One lesson that I found out the hard way is that if you start dictating with one microphone, and then you acquire another microphone and want to start dictating with that, the user profile for the previous microphone will not recognize your speech. What you need to do if you upgrade your microphone is to start a new user profile. This is how you do it: click "naturally speaking", then go to "manage users", and then click "new". This will get you started creating a new user profile. You will need to go through training again, but I do not consider this to be a real big deal, personally.

I REALLY like this program, and I would not consider going without it. I recommend it to anybody who either has trouble typing or does a lot of typing, in fact I recommend it to anybody who might be interested!

*********************************************************

This is an amendment to my previous review. I recently found out that Windows 7 has speech recognition built into it for free! At least the Home Premium and up versions. A friend clued me in to this fact. She is quite happy with the Windows 7 version of Speech recognition. I just gave the Windows version of speech recognition a try, and if I had to choose, with price not being an issue, I think I would still choose Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I did not try the Windows version very thoroughly, but I find that when I try to dictate an e-mail with the Windows version, it creates a very small text box to dictate into. I find that this box is excessively small, and really you can only dictate a sentence at a time into it. In the Dragon version, the text box that I use to dictate my e-mails into is quite large, and if I have a lot to say, it will create a scroll bar so that I can go back and reread my dictation before inserting it. Like Dragon, I believe that the Windows speech recognition program really works best with Microsoft applications. (My e-mail program is not a Microsoft application). But I sure wish that I had known about the Windows version when I upgraded my Dragon version. How do you find the Windows 7 Speech Recognition program? Just click on the "Start" button of Window 7, and type "speech recognition". In the upper left corner of the window, the name of the program appears. If it is highlighted, then you can launch it by pressing "Enter". If it is not highlighted, click on the name. If you intend to use the program often, you can right-click on the name, and choose "Pin to Taskbar", "Pin to Start Menu", or "Send To > Desktop". Fifa 2010 - fifa 2010, video games

It feels like the ball is separate from the players, so it is more difficult for you to control the ball. This feeling is so real if you play soccer a lot like me. The reason I stopped player FIFA is that controlling the ball is a very easy job like it sticks to the player's feet, and the players are like skating on the ground.I love this PES also because it deliberately designs motions for every famous (Star) players like C. Ronaldo and Rooney, so you can tell who is that particular player on the screen only by the way he runs even if you don't look at his name and face at all. This is amazing!

FIFA? A game for people outside the court. Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 - English version

This game is just ok, the graphics are good but the play is off. The players run like someone is pulling on their jerseys. The controls are hard to get used to and add that there is only limited licensed teams and the game is just lacking There isnt the dynamic gameplay that real soccer offers its reserved and the commentary just isnt very good and gets repetitive. I wont be buying anymore PES titles. The new FIFA looks amazing and I loved the World Cup game so Im sure I'll be happy with FIFA 11.

I have had a blast with this game playing in Become a Legend mode and color me impressed. I have just started my second season and it has everything I wanted from a soccer game, I have Fifa 09 also but I find myself coming back and playing PES over and over again.

The game just has the the right feel for me. It takes some practicing to master but its well worth the effort. Highly Recommenced!

My husband is very happy with his purchase. We follow lots of international soccer, so this game is perfect for him. I hear him and a friend enjoying it right now in the next room. Good buy for a soccer fan, especially in a World Cup year.

I played this game for a few months and thought it was good but I ended up trading it in for FIFA 10 and I found FIFA far superior.

Pro Evolution is fun and the Master league has improved with both the champions league and europa league included.

FIFA is the best gameplay I have seen in a soccer game and Pro Evolution 10 does not compete

Overall every aspect of this game is an improvement. The player likenesses are the most noticable. The pace of the game is slower than last year and it takes some getting used to. The game is now more tactical and less arcade.

There are many new moves to learn and the menus are more ornate. Once you are used to the changes the game is very enjoyable.

The online is finally fixed. That was the biggest concern after last year's problems.

I have owned every version of EA's FIFA series and now the last 4 years of PES. They both have their good and not so good points. This is the first year where they are so close in so many ways.

I will give FIFA a slight nod in graphics but PES still has a much more realistic game play.

While I own and play both I prefer PES.

All in all this is an excellent game with a lot of replay value.

This is the worst Pes in history, at least for Xbox 360, the gameplay just sucks, the players are superslow but the opposite players are superfast, you can't make any tackle, even on the ball, u will get a yellow or red for nothing ! The only pro are shots, they are very nice and the graphic is realistic, but the gameplay absolutely sucks ... i played with the ps2 version and it's completely another game, a 4 star at least ; how can people give this game 5 stars ? did they even play once at top player level ? i don't think so ... Don't buy this game for xbox 360 !

it is a good game, but i think i still prefer the 2009... besides the characters are only alike in the more popular teams or national teams, and the ones from Chile, are not that well alike.

i mean, it is a very good game, but it does have some problems in the gameplay... - Video Games - Xbox 360 - Soccer - Fifa 2010'

Brad Nails

What can you say about brads? Well unlike some of the off brand these feed evenly and work well! I bought some brad x from the local ACE store and they double and triple fired and jammed. If you have a Bostich gun stick to these. Bostitch BT1335B-1M 1-3/8-Inch 18-Gauge Brads, 1000 per Box

First of all, kudos to Tool King (TK) for the way they shipped these nails to me; the nails were shipped in bubble mailers, which is normal, but what TK gets credit for here, is that they wrapped each pack of nails in packing tape so even if the package was ruptured somehow the nails wouldn't go everywhere. So thanks for that guys.

They also had the best price at a buck cheaper than the local blue borg and free shipping. I bought one from the borg to hold me over and 5 packs from TK.

About the nails, they work great. No jams or misfires, just reliable shots every time, though this can also attest to the quality of the brad nailer I have, the Hitachi NT50AE2. A perfect match.

I use the 2" brads to hold together small butt-jointed paint grade boxes. I could probably go shorter, say 1 5/8" or even 1 3/4"; but to be honest the 2" brads were the cheapest and work perfectly fine for my use with no blowouts, misfires or jams, which can occur with nails of lesser quality.

I know a whole lot can't be said in a review about nails, but for the small things that count (shipment packaging and quality of the nails), these nails are great.

5 stars for the nails and Tool King, as well as the Hitachi NT50AE2, but that's another review... ;)

While 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" brads may seem suitable enough a range for most applications, I've found several situations where I need something just a bit longer than the 1 1/4" brads I normally use for joining 3/4" materials, but I don't want to risk punching through the second piece by using a 1 1/2" brad. Bostitch is the only company I've found that make these (1 5/8" brads too), and Lowe's no longer carries this length. If you, too, want/need this size, go for Bostitch quality; maybe purchase several packs to stock up.'

Portable Dvd Player Case - dvd, dvd player

I recently purchased a Philips - 9" Widescreen Portable DVD Player with Dual Screens. I was concerned that this case wouldn't fit the 9" screens because all other reviews mentioned the 7" screens. This case fit the two screens perfectly! Another nice thing is that it is still roomy enough to fit a couple headsets and all the cords that go with the DVD player. I'm very happy with the product! Case Logic PDVD-9 7-9-Inch Dual Screen DVD Player, Black

After much searching and reading the reviews I thought I found my replacement case, however its just too small. I have a 7-inch portable DVD player with an extra screen that has served us very well. While the case holds the screens nicely, it becomes very difficult to get all the cords into the extra pocket. I got it in, but then another problem came when I tried to install the unit into the car. The case leaves no room to accommodate the cords to be plugged in...the car power cord and the cord that connects the two units. The case that came with my players had slits for the cords to plug in. I didn't expect this, but I thought there would be ample room for the cords to plug into the sides of the player, especially considering it is made to hold players up to 9-inches.

Something to consider before buying this case.

We purchased the case to hold our twin RCA 8" screens and they fit perfectly. Each screen has it's own pocket and are well protected with padding. The case includes a pocket to store 4 DVDs (without cover)but we just tote the DVDs in the cases separately and use this pocket to store all the adapters, headphones, remotes, etc. Once the case is full, it's still fairly compact and fits nicely in the back seat in between passengers.

I was looking for a case for my Audiovox dual-screen setup (purchased at Target), I think they are 7" screens. The fit was pretty snug - I had to struggle to zip it closed. But it holds them well and there are plenty of pockets. If you have a large DC charger/power supply, I don't think you'll be able to fit it in here.

I purchased this carrying case for my husband, who is an OTR driver with slip setting. He was constantly misplacing the cords to his 9" portable tv/dvd player. Since I gave this case to him I haven't heard a single word from him wondering were his cords are. Great organizer.

I've only used this case for the purpose of transporting both units plus the DVDs, but it does open ( flap down, like the dinner tray on the planes)to see your DVDs. I really like it, it protects both cases very well, and there is enough space for the wires and earbuds. I can also squeeze in about 3 VD cases, not to mention that there are some slotted areas for you to directly place the disk. I purchased these for use with the Philips 7" dual DVDs that I purchased on Amazon. I am very happy with the purchase and the price. I have other smaller CaseLogic items, and they have all been well made and durable. Hope this helps!

I bought this product for my philips 9" dual screen portable dvd players. They fit just fine. I put one in the main pocket and one in the back pocket. Of course mine mount to the headrest with a single strap so I won't use the actual case for viewing. However the case works perfectly for me to transport both screens mounting stuffs and a pair of toddler headphones. - Dvd - Netbook Case - Dvd Player Case - Dvd Player'

Pendaflex - pendaflex, hanging folders

The product is very good and handles those "fat files" in your filing cabinet. I was hesitant to purchase the product because the "Technical Details" was the result of sloppy work by the person who writes those technical details. In the "technical details" section, it goes on to say that the folders were for "legal size" which contradicted the Amazon part description. I had to go to the Pendaflex website and look up the part number to make sure that I was ordering the non-legal-sized folder, which was what I had wanted.

I am unsure if this was an Amazon editor's error or a Pendaflex editor's error. But it was misinformation at best and the worst case situation of "cut and paste". Amazon almost lost a sale. Pendaflex 4152X2 Extra Capacity 1/5-Tab Hanging Folders with Box Bottoms, Standard Green (25-Pack)

I ordered this item because I definitely wanted the Infopocket. I use this to store smaller items within the customer file and not lose them at the bottom of the file folder. THREE times Amazon.com has sent the folders NOT containing the Infopocket. The Pendflex website does decribe them with the infopocket so I am assuming they are still manufactured. I am getting tired of sending back these incorrect items. - Pendaflex - Hanging Folders'

Dance Dance Revolution - ballet and dance, dance workout

I am really satisfied with my purchase of these leg warmers. I was afraid they would be sliding down my legs but they really hold up! The colors are true to their pictures and the fabric seems quite sturdy, I got just what I wanted! Charcoal 16 Inch Leg Warmers by KD dance, Double as Arm Warmers, Text, Type, Cell Phone Glove, Ribbed Stretch Knit, Ruffled Top, Fashionable, No Itch, Soft, Cozy High End Leg Warmers, Made In New York City USA USA

Got these for our daughter, who is a freshman at very cold/snowy Oswego State (I was drawn to them by my memories of my own leg warmers from the late 70's/early 80's)! She loves the retro look, plus they do help keep her warm as she trudges from class to class! Only downside was we had to get her new "skinny leg" jeans to complement the look! Good quality; great color, hold their elasticity well, and very prompt delivery. No dancing genes in this family, but we would definitely consider doing business with KD dance again...

The leg warmers are classic and great quality. I love the little natural "ruffle" around the (ankle) cuff on mine. I really love them as arm warmers, just over my knuckles - looks so theatrical and a really popular look right now. To make things even better, the customer service is the best I've ever had! I plan to buy lots more goodies from these folks. Thank you!!!

These are so comfy, was worried they would be scratchy but they are not at all. I use them on my arms to convert a lighter short sleeve shirt to a warmer long sleeve shirt for around. Use them on my legs as well, they work great both ways. Use Them bunched up at the wrist on a cooler day when its just cold enough but to warm for gloves. These are perfect size for lower arm and lower leg, better length to bunch down toward ankle. Great for the price.

Bought these for my wife for Christmas because she couldn't find any that she liked locally. She is extremely picky and returns about 1/3 of the stuff SHE buys. She uses these just to keep her legs from cramping at night (she has poor circulation). I just asked her if she likes them (again). She loves them. She said they wash up great and have not stretched out of shape. If she's happy, I'm REALLY happy!

I couldn't be happier with these leg warmers. I got the gray ones, and I love them. As stated in the project description, they are not scratchy at all - just warm and soft. And for the price, you can NOT go wrong. I have zero complaints or suggestions to improve them. Also, they arrived quickly and the sellers have been so nice to deal with. Will definitely be going back for more! :)

I have purchased several pairs of these 16" leg warmers, and I am more pleased than I could have imagined! They are a perfect weight and length, and they are soft and warm. I have poor circulation and also use them in place of compression stockings! Leg cramps are gone!

Great product with a fantastic selection of colors!

I was a skeptic at first, but then I figured, what would it hurt trying a pair? After my initial purchase, I ordered another three pairs in different colors to go with other skirts that I wear in the winter. These leg warmers truly keep your legs toasty in the frigid winter air; yet are not that heavy for indoor use. The are very fashionable to be worn with dresses and skirts.

The product is exactly as it is described and pictured. I ordered these because I had been looking at hand and arm warmers only. They were all very expensive and then I found this wonderful product by KD Dance that can serve as either leg or arm warmers and since they can be worn clear down to your fingers while you are doing things and completely over your fingers when you are not they are perfect for hands also. I have them on now as I type this review. They are very reasonably priced and made in the U.S.A. The product is so fancy and beautiful looking I all most feel like a dancer myself when I have them on. I got the color Cyclodelic Glitter Metallic & New York Black. And as I said they are beautiful! I just had to update this review because since I wrote it I purchased another pair to go with the first pair I ordered. Since I wore the 1st pair as arm warmers I got the 2nd pair to use as leg warmers. And since I love them so much I got two more so I would have two sets of arm/leg warmers. I got the pair to match the ones I already had and since I was so taken by their beauty I got the 2nd Set in the same color. I feel positively glamorous in this product and I can assure you I'm actually a very average looking woman! - Dance Workout - Kd Dance - Ballet And Dance - Low Rise'
