Large Tent - large tent, camping

An excellent tent for the price.

Easy for one person to put up, but because of the height of the tent, the rain fly is a bit difficult to get in place. Also, the eight rain fly tie down lines tend to get tangled up. I have found that unless there are extremely high wind conditions, you really don't need them, so I just coiled them up and secured them with wire ties.

It has withstood one very heavy rainfall with no noticeable leakage. More than I can say for any other tent I have used.

Ventilation is great. Plenty of screened panels that can be opened. The "hinged" door is nice too. The screened room is a real plus, but it would have been even more so had they extended the tent floor to cover it too.

It is difficult to get it rolled up enough to get it back in the carrying case, but that is true of every tent I have ever owned.

Very happy with it thus far. Coleman WeatherMaster Screened 4 Tent

GET A FEW CANS OF CAMP DRY. This tent leaked fairly bad the first time we used it at Woolly Hollow state park in Arkansas. I think the rain fly diverts water directly onto the back side windows and on the seam where the door hinges and ours leaked pretty bad at the point where the mesh meets the bottom part of the window. Those nights it rained a good bit and we "fixed" the leak by detaching the rain fly on the back poles and tying it to the guy lines then to a tree, so the water would run off the very back of the tent more, instead of dripping right at key seams, this seemed to fix the problem. We have since put 3 coatings of camp dry and used a couple of tubes of coleman seam sealer and this should be a great tent from now own. (guaranteed not to leak......after 3 coatings of camp dry) should be there slogan.

On a positive note, I haven't had a tent from Coleman that hasn't leaked yet, but learn from me, always seal them with camp dry or similar product and seam sealer BEFORE you need to, and you will have a great experience and have a tent that will last for years to come.

This is a good solid tent for camping. Pretty easy to set up, though with 2 people, it'll be much easier. At about the third month of daily use, it started leaking. Get some camp dry, you'll be fine.

Also, be careful of cutting into the shipping box with a knife. The tent is literally right there. I was careful with my cut, but still ended up slicing into the carrying bag - lucky I didn't damage the tent inside.

Very happy with Amazon.com. Free standard shipping and arrived within 4 days. The tent is great. Very roomy, enough for 4 people, you can stand while changing clothes (nice! We are 5'10" tall) and the extra screen room is awesome. The only complain was the tent pole made from metal; made the tent heavy! the good side of it: the tent is very sturdy.. I wish the pole was made of lighter fiberglass. Also the flap covering the zipper on the door tent can be annoying. It is an extra protection..but we are very happy without it. Overall, great tent, great value, great for all weather.. and the kids and us love the screen room.. the feature that is rare found in other kind of tent! The reason I did not give five stars was for the heavy poles..It would be perfect if in the future there would be a very strong lite fiberglass pole, good enough to stand a tall tent!

My son purchased this tent for him and his girlfriend to go camping. They had no trouble putting it up and were very pleased with it. Perfect for two twin sized air mattresses with room to spare. Looking forward to using it again this summer.

I love this tent! It was an easy set up for my husband and I. The polls are thick and very sturdy and the screen porch cami in real handy when we stopped to eat since the bugs were horrible! We had a real hard rain come through to and had no leaks anywhere but we also put a seam sealler on it before we used it just for extra protection. I would recomend this tent to anyone wanting a spacious and airy tent! It has great ventalation!

Well I finally got to set this tent up. It is very nice. If you sit in the smaller screen porch you can open the rest of the tent up and the whole thing feels like a big screen porch-very nice and also private. I took the room divider and used it as a wind block on the screen porch. Just connected it to the outside poles and will tie some small rope or heavy string loops on the upright poles to attach the divider to. The divider has many tie things to use to tie to the loops added to the uprights. You'll see what I mean when you get the tent up. Took a while to get the rain fly on alone. Put this baby up before you get there esp. if it's dark. Ist time will take a while. Next time should be easy-follow their directions-it's really a fun tent and kids will love the openness. Wish it had the hard door some of colemans are said to have. I will be velcroing the screen doors to the main tent at the bottom for less wind inside-not a big deal.Very good in the wind for a cabin tent. - Tents - Coleman - Camping - Large Tent'
