Lamp Timer
I needed a wall timer that had the outlet in front, since I'm using this for a children's room little LED night light. The night light has a light sensor but I have the windows in there blacked out so that it's easier for him to fall asleep when it's light later at night, or to keep him from waking up when it gets light too early. So the light sensor never works, and I ended up plugging it in and unplugging it every day. So I looked around for a timer that had the outlet on front so it would project properly.
This arrived quickly, and it's much nicer than the older style ones I've used that had the little red and green clips that you slid into place, since those had the potential to be lost. This has no additional pieces. The "ring" is actually a lot of small pieces that slide out or in, so all you do is slide them out during the period you want something on, push them in for off. So you don't have a limit for how many times you cycle something on and off like you do with the ones with the pins, since they usually came with only a few of them. This one you can squeeze a bunch of power cycles in each day.
There's an overriding "on" switch on the side too.
Worked great, no noise from it, and nothing to lose. Best outlet timer I've worked with. LED Wholesalers GYO2102 Hydroponic Grow Light 24-Hour Timer'
