Computer Sleeve - laptop cases, laptop bag

The Caselogic VNA-210 is a nice little attache-style case for netbooks or other small electronics. It is constructed from lightweight nylon and polyester (not neoprene foam), and features a large device compartment and two front pockets for accessories.

There is a decent amount of padding on the front and back of the main compartment for protection. The largest of the accessories pockets has internal pockets for a cellphone/mp3 player, usb flash drive, plus a couple of pen loops to keep it all organized. The vertical front pocket could only fit something small flat, as there is little-to-no gusset room here. A removable shoulder strap is also included.

The attache design means that the zipper to the main compartment only opens to just around the top corners. Although the VNA-210 states it fits netbooks '7 inches to 10.2 inches', it does not fit all 10.1" netbooks (it did not fit my Hercules eCafe), so make sure you measure your netbook first. According to the tag, the main device compartment of the VNA-210 has internal dimensions of/will only accommodate a netbook up to 10.5 x 7.7 x 1.5" (26.6 x 19.5 x 3.9 cm).

Overall, the Caselogic VNA-210 seems a well-constructed, lightweight, sturdy little case that is very suited for small netbooks and/or other electronics on the go. Case Logic VNA214 14.1-Inch Laptop Attache (Black)

I got this to carry my new iPad. I'd also gotten a plastic back cover for the iPad, which made it not fit into the very tight iPad cases I found at the Apple store. The iPad fits very well inside this bag, with the outside pocket to hold the charger. Highly recommended, and great quality for the price.

When shopping, I showed several to my wife--this she gave thumbs up since it looks like a small laptop bag, and not a purse :)

I have a power cord-adapter,External DVD Drive and cord, stack of DVD's, manuals, 6 Flash Drives, and the shoulder strap all tucked in the largest extra side pocket, my cell phone and keys in the smaller outer pocket for quick access, and it still retains it's slim-line look just like the ad said-no lumpy look or feel. It's well designed and well-made,priced alot less than bags without extra pockets or shoulder strap included. Made of a rugged material-not cheaply made like those soft flimsy ones. It's nice and small like my 10.2" Acer Aspire One netbook, but has a little elbow room for it, not squeezed in. It's very functional AND Stylish-VERY Stylish-Sleek! I love it and could't be happier with it. Perfect for storing my Netbook and it's accessories in one place at home, and protects it from weather and scratches-bumps (padded) while making it easy to carry it all on the go. It's Perfect!

I bought this bag as well as the "Case Logic LNEO-10 Ultraportable Neoprene Notebook/iPad Sleeve" for my 10" Asus 1015PEM netbook, thinking that the latter would be much slimmer to stuff into a backpack. Of the two, I prefer this bag. It's really not much thicker or bulkier than the neoprene bag and has more/better storage compartments and a shoulder strap. It has thicker padding on the bottom and around the edges, for much better protection if the bag is dropped. The neoprene bag has hardly any padding and seems like it wouldn't absorb any significant shocks. I also prefer the nylon exterior, which doesn't attract dust/dirt as much as neoprene and should stay looking good longer. This bag fits my Asus 1015PEM perfectly, whereas the neoprene model has a little more space and can stretch to accomodate a slightly larger computer.

This bag should work well when I travel - in addition to my netbook, it'll carry my small point and shoot camera, a mini tripod, chargers and travel mouse, as well as my passport and plane ticket, which will go into the outside pocket. If you plan to always carry your netbook inside of a larger bag or backpack, a simple sleeve would work, but for a compact and versatile bag at a great price, this one is hard to beat.

I was a little disappointed that the bag did not include the luggage strap or shoulder pad (attached to the shoulder strap) in the photos. I think these features are only included with the larger versions of this bag, and not with the 10". Despite this, I feel that the bag deserves five stars. BTW, my local Fry's has these bags for around $7 more than Amazon. Considering 9.75% CA sales tax, I saved over 60% buying from Amazon (w/ free shipping).

This is the right size for ... IPad in the Apple iPad case. Plus ... Tissues.. A pen and small notepad ( which I didn't need). ... And my phone. With a convenient shoulder strap and handle it is easy to carry. I was going out in the rain and if I didn't have the case I might have left the iPad at home. Price is right and features are great.

Fits my thinkpad 14.1 inch t400s perfectly. Has 2 extra compartments for other things. Overall looks like this thing will last a long time. Good finishing. One reviewer mentions "nothing stands out". That's silly, this isn't meant to be a laptop case with accents and leather stuff. Its a basic case for those who want practicality over looks. It get's 5 stars in that. - Laptop Cases - Laptop Bags - Laptop Bag - Notebook Computer Bags'

Vhs To Dvd Transfer - digital video, vhs to dvd

So bought this item in a gold box deal and had not used it till couple of days ago when i had some off time so I decided to give it a try.

First of all the kit comes with all cables that u need to connect, a small box called vidbox and instruction manual. You insert the CD into your laptop and off you go.

You will of course need a separate VHS player to play your VHS tapes.

Run the CD, register the product online which is easy and remember to re-start the computer, the software should prompt you to restart the computer once fully installed, once done the Cd installs the software and instruction manual onto your computer, click on the icon which guides you through the process. Now that I have used both easy menu and expert menu I can comment on both.

One caveat is that the best quality is achieved only when you record upto 110 minutes in one sitting, you can still record for longer duration with slight compromise in the quality of the recording. SO MAKE SURE UR TAPES ARE NOT LONGER THAN 70 MINUTES DURATION BEFORE U START RECORDING, if they are longer than 70 minutes duration then you can adjust the recording time on the menu pretty easily to fix this issue.

overall the converted video quality is decent, I personally use cocusoft products to reconvert dvd files to MP4 for palyback on quicktime.

Of note though you will need a seperate 3.5 to 3.5 mm cable or 3.5 to rca audio cable to convert audio cassettes to mp3 or wma format, I ordered them from amazon and recieved them today.

I am using 3.5mm to RCA cable via vidbox to convert my audio cassette files to WMA files, and LO IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM, AWESOME!!!.

I have previously tried audacity but found it complicated and confusing to use, but with Honestech the audio-file conversion is a breeze!!!, truly, just remember few things.

1. In the settings click on the noise reduction box and set noise reduction below - 10.0 ( minus ten point zero), I initially set noise reduction at the highest and the recording quality was very bad but once I set it to low level it worked like a charm, no hissing unlike with other software. ( NOW NOISE REDUCTION LEVEL OF - 11.2 IS WHERE I FOUND THE BEST QUALITY OF RECORDING WAS, BUT FOR YOU ALL IT MAY DEPEND ON YOUR COMPUTER SETTINGS AND ALSO THE QUALITY OF THE TAPE USED TO RECORD THE ORIGINAL, SO BY TRIAL AND ERROR USE YOUR OWN JUDGMENT.!!!)

2. In the audio device properties keep the ''master input mix'' bar at 25% level or lower, and in this setting the recoding was smooth and the output file had no hissing for me and the quality of recording was better than original.

3. Now this one is important, when you record using 3.5mm to rca audio cable via vidbox I have very little hissing only, however if you use 3.5 mm to 3.5 mm cable bypassing vidbox there is lots of hissing noise, so i think either the vidbox has a built in filter or it just does good job eliminating hissing, I have so far used only one type of 3.5mm to 3.5 mm cable to record the audio so unsure if the quality of the cable i used had anything to do with it??, anywayz if you want to convert cassette to wma then connecting to your computer through the vidbox probably gives you the best quality.

I shall try out various setting for video recording over next few weeks and update this review again.

Once again the audio conversion software works like a charm, I am happy with this software, so far it has been a great buy, instead of spending a fortune at walgreens or sams or other stores trying to get your old tapes converted, with he help of this software and a laptop you can get it done at home!!!, wow, I am happy.

Overall this product works as advertised and is a winner, thanks Honestech for a great product.

ADDENDUM - 01/06/2010

Advanced Video options are nice to use as well.

You can convert either in 4:3 of 16:9 format, one can convert the VHS to WMV format and store it on hard disc whils the basic simple format only lets you burn it onto dvd immediately after aquring the content. Easy record format only lets you record 110 minutes of best quality of video whilst advanced recording input u can do about 5-6 hours of WMV format recording which is awesome.

Some of the settings I used for advanced format included WMV format best video output possible at 4:3 since my VHS tapes were standard definition only. I initially did a mistake by trying to record to an external source HD connected via USB drive, you will achieve best performance quality by recording on the internal hard-drive of a laptop or a desktop, you can always transfer it to an external storage device, software froze up when i tried to record to an external HD but worked fine with internal HD.

You can also edit, join, unjoin, add effects to your video using th existing software which is cool too. you can also record it in various formats suiting VCD or DVD or WMV. For some reason there are no options for recording the video in MP4 format.

Overall an excellent source for someone who doesnot want to spend a fortune trying to get their home videos or LP or cassette tapes converted to digital MP3 or WMV pr WMA formats. VHS to DVD 5.0 Deluxe - Camcorder - Honestech - Digital Video - Vhs To Dvd'

Office Supplies - home laminator, laminate

I ordered the Scotch thermal laminator & pouches and have been more than pleased with both. The pouches actually seal better & are thicker & more durable than I expected. I'll definitely be ordering more! Scotch(TM) Thermal Laminating Pouches, 4.37 Inches x 6.06 Inches, 20 Pouches (TP5900-20)

Love this brand but really a pack of 20 with 8 dollar shipping? Google for this product or other brands which are as good if not better...yes there is better and there are other thicknesses too. So don't be a slave to higher costs of shipping here today. Sometimes Amazon changes vendors and so the prices of products and shipping cost or not changes out too.

Over all the product is good. Not great and not bad. I like the UV protection on some of the more specialized laminate materials such as USI has in it's photo line. With this over priced shipping you could pick and choose a better product for not more. Also check out the other vendor selling the full size sheets which you could use to make your own sizes as needed. We do that a whole lot....from half sized sheets to quarter or customized fit to make refridge magnets using our favorite cartoons out of. Just leave approx 1/8 inch beyond the edge of your item or paper and you should be good to go. Saves money too. The vendor for the full size Scott sheets is free shipping too. But google laminate pouches to find other brands and so many more products and sizes and as good a quality or even better some times. Think outside the box....color outside the lines:)))

I have purchased several different size laminating pouches and find they all work well. This is for personal use. For example, I put several business cards slightly apart in one pouch, laminate it, and cut them out for use as luggage tags.

I purchased both the laminating machine and pouches of various sizes for my mother this Christmas. She is a laminating junkie and laminates just about everything she can including pictures, proof of insurance certificates, newspaper clippings, recipe cards and even recipes pulled from magazines. Its important to note that my mother is about as anti tech as one can possibly get. It took me a couple years just to get her operating a Mac laptop efficiently. When it comes to technology, she finds even the simplest of things difficult, lol. Anyways, she figured out how to operate the laminating machine in just a few minutes. That's how simple it is to use this system.

The pouches are fantastic as they make aligning of the item super easy. You just pop the item into the pouch and send it through the laminating machine and your all set. The quality is absolutely perfect. No air bubbles and no creases, just a perfectly laminated item. Considering how cheap the laminating machine is, something like this is a no-brainer for people like my mother. The pouches run anywhere from 20 to 33 cents each depending on size.

Bottom line - This system is extremely affordable and about as easy as something can be to operate. The lamination of important documents is just a smart idea and with a system as easy and affordable as this.....well there is really no reason not to. Highly recommended.

5 stars!

I ordered these along with the Scotch Thermal Laminator.

I have a toddler who loves flashcards, so I thought I'd get the tools to make our own [ok, I've always wanted a laminator- who am I trying to kid?!].

Anyway, these arrived with the laminator, so I immediately plugged in the machine and set about the house looking for something to cover. I found a family photo [4x6], and set it to work.

I hadn't really paid attention to the thickness of the laminating sheets, but I'm so glad I chose what I did- the 5mm came out beautifully thick [with perfect lamination].

These have held up tremendously well. Not only do we have an active babe in our house along with a toddler, but we also have daycare kids [young toddler and older toddler]... our toys/things are WELL used and abused. This little laminated photo? It's still flat [even though it's been bent time after time]- somehow the lamination just bounces back and keeps it looking new. Astounding.

*love*

They are plastic pouches. They laminate thermally just like they say they would. So what is to be a surprise? Maybe they are not made in China. Or, should I expect them to be filled with lead and other byproducts of "production"? I intend to place them inside my Chinese drywalls. Conditioner - cleansing conditioner, hair care

Firstly, let me tell you that I love this product. It makes my straight hair shiny and reduces frizzies, but the whole you-can-go-longer-without-getting-greasy-headed thing never happened for me. I still have to shower daily, which is why I became obsessed with the amount of product used and the cost per shower...

So using the minimum guidelines for each dose, you'll use about 1oz per shower. At the prices offered here, that's about $2/shower. I think I make decent money, but I can't live with myself for spending that on my hair each day. It's just crazy. I would stand there lathering thinking "I want my two dollars!!".

In protest, I went back to the my old shampoo - and immediately regretted it. Even my husband noticed that my hair didn't look as good, and that says something since he's not really the type to notice, well, anything.

So... enter Sally's Beauty Supply, my rescuer. They just came out with a self-branded version of this product for sale in their stores and on their website which is fantastic. It's about half the price, and I don't know if it's purely psychological, but I love it. My hair looks even better than with the Wen product. It's awesome. I'm serious.

Best yet, Sally's sells little single-use packets if you're not ready to commit. You could grab a couple of those and give it a go before you totally opt out of the real thing. (Of course, for $10 you could just buy the whole bottle... Compared to the Wen spend, that's small potatoes!) WEN Cucumber Aloe Cleansing Conditioner 16 oz

I feel compelled to write a review about this product. This isn't something I normally do, but I feel like I should this time. I saw this stuff on an infomercial and hesitated for a long time about buying it. I didn't like the price and I pretty much think anything being sold on TV isn't ever going to be what it seems. For whatever reason, I decided I wanted to try this stuff. I found it on Amazon for a better price than the website, so I got it. Again, I am a huuuuuge skeptic. I tried it. I LOVE IT. Seriously. I could tell the difference as I rinsed it out of my hair THE FIRST TIME I used it. It's been two days and it looks like I just washed it. I have fine hair that looks greasy within about 24 hours after being shampooed, so having it look fresh after two days is pretty cool. Please take this from a total skeptic: you should at the very least try this stuff. Order it somewhere that has a money-back guarantee if you have to. Just try it.

**Note: I am not being compensated in any way, shape or form from ANYONE to write this review. I am just so shocked that something turned out to do exactly what it was advertised to do that I wanted to get the word out.

I bought this product thinking it would be much different from what I have tried (and I have tried sooo many). I have been searching for a long time now for a cleansing system that not only works well on my hair but tends to my scalp as well. This product works pretty good to clean and moisturize my hair but as with others, I still have areas on my scalp that are so dry, I get large flakes (not sure if this is the left behind by the shampoo or dry scalp, the itching is almost unbareale as well in these spots)I will not buy this product again for it is very pricey to leave my hair the same as many other shampoo-cleansers/conditioners have done so many times prior. My daughter of 10 has had an oily scalp problem so I let her try this product for a week, when her haired dried, it was more oily looking than before she cleansed. I also did not care for the strong scent it left behind on my or my daughters hair. What I did like was the fact of not have to condition seperately and I enjoyed the cool tingling it left on my scalp.

I have heard so much about WEN that I had to buy it. I followed the directions perfectly '30-40 pumps, massage in for a minute, let stand 3-5 minutes, rinse thoroughly' and when I got out my hair had waxy build up. I was ticked I mean wasn't the whole point of this not to have waxy build up? To have volume? I tried twice more just to see if I had messed up, but no each time my hair came out with grease and wax. Finally I googled 'WEN instructions' and it came up with a video on YouTube.com Here's the proper way that should be on the bottle.

1. rinse hair thoroughly, like for a few minutes.

2. 5-10 pumps (more if you need) and put on the top part of your hair, massage in

3. 5-10 pumps under your hair massage in

4. 5-10 pumps on the left side

5. 5-10 pumps on the right side

6. any extra pumps on the bottom or top, just fill in

7. Slightly tilt your head in the water until it gets a little wet

8. massage in your scalp for a minute, this should be easier because of the water you added

9. comb through

10. clip it up and let stay for a solid 3-5 minutes

11. rise thoroughly making sure you don't feel anything in your hair

optional

12. before you get out use a pump or so to run though the ends of your hair like leave in conditioner

Do you see how detailed that is? That's what should be on the back of the bottle because I can tell you now I only wash my hair with WEN and it is not greasy, no waxy build up and my hair looks really healthy. I have fine blonde hair that I dye so it is slightly damaged, but I have a ton of it so it can be a pain to get the shampoo out from under the layers, I really really like the Cucumber Aloe and just bought a bigger bottle, my hair is mid back and I find I really only need 5-7 pumps per section so don't use the 40 plus pumps, saves the product and me money. - Shampoo - Wen Hair Care - Hair Care - Cleansing Conditioner'

Amplified Antenna - hd antenna, hdtv antenna

I rarely write reviews for things that don't make immediately positive impressions (or horrible ones), and this was one of the positive ones. To be brief, with this antenna I now receive signal strengths between 64-74% on a couple stations 38 miles away that I didn't get before! I did a test of signal strengths among six different stations; first with rabbit ears and then with the amplified signal of this new RCA ANT1650. The rabbit ears averaged a signal strength of 51.66% (with a low of 32% and a high of 74%). The ANT1650 received an average signal strength of 90.16% (with a low - among the tested stations - of 67% and a high of 100%)!

This product was also very easy to set up. I connected the antenna to the detachable amplifier with a coaxial cable and then connected the amplifier to the TV with another coaxial cable. I then plugged in the power adapter for the amplifier (it will work about as well as rabbit ears with the amplifier's power adapter unplugged), turned on the TV, did an auto-channel search, deleted some analog stations, and was good to go. The flat antenna part can be situated in a variety of ways so as to get the best signal. You can attach it to the wall with two screws, you can set it upright with a stand (kind of like a picture frame), or you can lay it flat. For our situation, it worked best in an upright position so as to avoid being heated up by other equipment. Because it's rather inconspicuous as a shape and color, it looks good as well - certainly much better than our tv's previous rabbit ears. The only thing better would be if the tv worked without this item in the first place.

Here are the signal strength results from six test stations. I tested the rabbit ears on a clear morning and tested the ANT1650 on a clear afternoon of the same day. Both antennas were placed in the same location, which wasn't necessarily ideal for the ANT 1650:

With rabbit ears and clear windless weather:

Station A: 51%

Station B: 42%

Station C: 32%

Station D: 74%

Station E: 61%

Station F: 50%

With amplified ANT1650 propped vertically and clear windless weather:

Station A: 94%

Station B: 67%

Station C: 93%

Station D: 100%

Station E: 100%

Station F: 87%

I have since done a follow-up test with the ANT1650 laid flat and it averaged slightly better at 92%, even under windy conditions.

With amplified ANT1650 laid flat and clear windy weather:

Station A: 89%

Station B: 93%

Station C: 99%

Station D: 85%

Station E: 100%

Station F: 86%

To summarize, most of the stations look and sound great with the antenna just laying flat. Once in awhile, a problem station cuts in and out, and you have to prop the antenna up. In my case, it was just one station that was problematic. Not a big deal, though design-wise, they might've made it easier to prop up the antenna by having a built-in stand swing out of the backside. RCA ANT1650 Flat Digital Amplified Indoor TV Antenna

I live in the metro Atlanta area and according to the antenna web site I am 25 - 35 miles away from the transmission from the various broadcasting stations. I set this up without attaching the amplifier and am able to pick up the channels with great quality. I use this for a TV on the upper floor of my 2 story house, and ordered a 2nd for my main level TV. Hooked it up and it works fine as well.

I use these as a backup to my satellite dish. The satellite went out during a bad thunderstorm last night but I was able to switch over to broadcast tv and continue watching the game.

Note: I replaced a Terk antenna that did not get good reception with this one. I like the fact that this is omnidirectional.

I used to get a decent signal with rabbit ears and thought this amplified antenna was overkill. I still had to jockey it around to get a good signal. It is now in the vertical position on the floor next to my TV bench instead of laying flat and discreet at the foot of the TV like I intended. Still get pixel static at times or loose signal now and then, but I don't have to waste money on cable.

This is a great antenna. I Live pretty far from the transmission antenna in my area but I'm getting 80 and 100% signal quality on my channels.

You have to be a little patient when finding a location to place it but when you find the right location you won't be disappointed in the picture you receive.

Hook this up to my TV with the amplifier. Put the antenna near the window. VIOLA! All the major channels in HD - FREE!

Support both UHF and VHF frequency. The thing also looks pretty sleek. For optimal result, better put it closer to the windows. Highly recommanded.

This RCA ANT1650 replaced a Jensen 82930-0-7, which served well for amplified, indoor reception, but poorly after the conversion to digital. Both antennas could be placed no closer than about 8' from the nearest window with the Jensen on the floor and the RCA about 6' above it.

I have owned the RCA antenna for about three-weeks.

For the basis of comparison, the Jensen antenna would lose both digital video and audio signals an average of 90-seconds an hour. The RCA loses no video at all, but does tend to drop audio for a split second maybe up to a total of five-seconds an hour, generally in the morning. The RCA permitted me to add an extra three stations in addition to those the Jensen antenna was receiving. Whereas signal strength on VHS stations with the Jension averaged about 55%, with the RCA, they come in closer to 95%.

The RCA antenna was a breeze to set up. I tweaked it off-and-on for a few days, but actually it required no significant adjustment for all 49 available signals. It does not need to be touched which is good, since while it appears durable enough, the bar-like stand it rests on tends not to seat too steadily in the holes provided in the back of the unit. That by the way is only one of two faults I find with the product. The second one is that the antenna has a sealed cable which means that if it shorts out, you have to replace the entire unit.

Overall while this is not a perfect antenna, I'd say it is quite good, especially given its distance from the window. I am satisfied and would recommend the product without reservation. - Tv Antenna - Hdtv Antenna - Hd Antenna - Rca'

Nintendo Ds Lite

We have a DS Lite that we bought in the US, and since moving overseas, we've needed to use a voltage adaptor every time we want to charge it. Even the small wattage voltage adaptors are quite heavy, so while this works fine for us at home, it makes it very difficult to take the DS Lite with us when we travel. This charger is a lifesaver, since we no longer have to pack a heavy voltage adaptor.

Like the original charger, the plug folds down to make it more portable, but the US-style plug does mean that a plug adaptor is still required for most overseas use. Thankfully plug adaptors are usually quite lightweight. Also, the cord is a bit shorter than the original charger, which may be good for traveling but makes it a little harder to play when the power is low, since you need to sit closer to an outlet.

Overall, it's a handy thing to have if you ever take your DS Lite overseas, and the price is fantastic!

(Note that this charger is indeed designed for the Nintendo DS Lite, and NOT the original Nintendo DS, which uses a different connection.) Travel Charger for Nintendo DS Lite by eForCity

I too received the wrong item from the seller. I have contacted them to see if I can get the correct one. The end that is supposed to plug into the DS Lite is much bigger and clearly belongs to another electronic item. BUYER BEWARE.

Instead of sending me the 100-240V "Worldwide Traveler" adapter, the vendor sent me the standard USA-only adapter that comes included with Nintendo players sold in the USA. From reading other reviews, I can see this is not the first time this has happened. This vendor either has very sloppy quality control, or they are using Amazon as a way to discard high inventories of the USA-only adapters. The price is very low, but even a low price is not worth it if customers cannot buy the item they want.

...It was just that. I recently went to purchase a USED DS lite charger at my local Game store and it was $10, I got this one for $3- shipping included, and it came to me in less then a week. Great service :)

Wow.....great product at a fraction of the cost! My children lost the adapter that came with their Nintendo DS Lite and I did not want to buy another one for $14.99 at a retail store. I am so glad I found this here at Amazon for not even a fourth of the price!!!

This product is not the same as the item in the picture - the way the outlet prongs fold in is different, and depending on how its folded, it may or may not charge. I had to keep mine straight out for it to work, and if I moved it, it would cease charging.

I guess it works, I'm afraid to leave it unattended though for fear it might burn my house down. Feels cheap. Shipping took FOREVER.'
