Ipod Accessories

Not sure how they get away with showing the real Ipod headphones in the picture, and sending an entirely different product. These are some cheapo knockoffs. Do not make the mistake of thinking you are going to get the real deal. Apple iPod Earphones Headphones for iPod Nano, Touch & Classic

I had to wait an extra week for them to get my address right and when they actually sent it to me, it was with the original address I had given them. It took a week and a half to recieve it once it was ordered, and I live in Manhattan. The shop is based in Brooklyn. Then when I used the headphones, they only worked in one ear, and they were counterfeit apple headphones. I compared them with a friends that had gotten his at the Apple Store, and the colors weren't even right. I would not recommend this seller at all.

it's suck!!

i cannot hear the left side, so i sent e-mail to the seller. .But he did't answer.

I purchased this produect at 11 dollars. But i really want to get back my money.

I cannot use this earphone. it is annoying !

I was very disappointed in these earphones. I bought two pair, one for me and one for my daughter. I gave one to my daughter and kept one for a spare. My daugher used hers for one day and the left side didn't work. I gave her the extra pair and that one also stopped working all together. I would not recommend these earphones at all.

When I recieved these headphones, they worked just like the original headphones i recieved with my iPod. Then in a couple months, the material started to tear at the connecton spot. Next, one of the headphones popped out. It was easy to pop back in, but I dont not think this should happen. Now i am barely able to keep them together. I will not purchase these again if they do not improve the quality.

Was very happy to only spend $5, but i guess you get what you pay for. The bass is not the greatest, it sounds very treble-y and i noticed that i have to turn the volume up higher to hear it. not such a big deal since i am very hard on my earphones anyway...but i will probably pay a little bit more for better sounding earphones and maybe have a few of these cheapies around as a back-up plan.

These headphones were not of normal "Apple" quality. I got them and had to buy new ones at Best Buy because they sucked so bad. I assumed they weren't real "Apple" headphones because of the cheap price, but the sound was really terrible. I would recommend spending the extra bucks if you're an avid music person and getting Skullcandy or real Apple headphones.'

Folder Accessories - dividers, tab

Great product, does exactly what it's supposed to at a reasonable price. Printing directions are easy to follow, and since the holes are centered and the tabs run the entire length of the page, I was able to flip half of the pages to make two sets of four -- it was like getting two for the price of one! External Drive - hard drive, my book

I purchased this hard drive expecting it to behave like a typical external hard drive. I wanted to plug it in and see a single drive letter in My Computer.

However, this drive has more "advanced" features that require WD software. The drive presents itself as a CD-ROM drive as well as a hard drive. This virtual CD drive is supposed to contain the drivers to use the advanced features. The hard drive is inaccessible without the WD software. However, Windows 7 x64 is unable to locate the drivers for the virtual CD drive. Therefore the advanced drivers cannot be installed. The drive is unusable on Windows 7 x64. WD does not provide any downloads on the website allowing you to manually install the proprietary software. I contacted support, they told me to wait for an update. They recommended an RMA, even though we both agreed that this was a software, not hardware issue. Even so, if this had worked properly it adds extra bloatware to your computer that is not necessary. I replaced this with an equivalent Seagate. The Seagate behaved exactly as expected, plugin -> drive letter, done.

In summary, this drive requires proprietary software to function. This software does not work on Windows 7 x64 at this date. Get a drive without these requirements and save yourself a headache. Western Digital My Book Essential 3 TB USB 3.0/2.0 Desktop External Hard Drive

The 2TB WD External Hard Drive (EHD) arrived a couple of weeks ago and it was a snap to attach to my computer. It is USB 3.0-enabled, but it is USB 2.0 compatible, so it attached quickly and easily to an available USB 2.0 port. It is REALLY DIFFICULT to find the "best" EHD (or anything else, for that matter), since one tends to see lots of "pro" and lots of "con" reviews. This particular EHD seemed to have a reasonably good ratio of "pro" to "con," so I ordered it. So far, it has performed well -- i.e., it has not failed (as did my Seagate -- which the WD replaced -- very early in its career). However, the WD-provided backup software is a major drawback.

Pros:

* Attaches easily to an available USB 2.0 or 3.0 port

* Starts up when the computer is started up

* Operates silently and transparently

* Good capacity for the $$

Cons:

* The included backup software is very, very poor -- in fact, it is worse than useless. It does not allow one to choose specific files or folders to backup; instead, one is forced to choose the "type" of files one wants backed up to the EHD. This is sort of like picking up pennies wearing boxing gloves, i.e., awkward and frustrating. But it is actually worse than that -- the WD-provided software does NOT actually back up all of the files of the selected file types. Consequently, utilizing this backup software is a really bad idea if one is serious about reliable backups. The software included with my defunct Seagate drive ("Seagate Manager") was significantly better. In any event, I have acquired third-party backup software as a work-around.

* When the computer powers off, the WD EHD sits and flashes its light. It SEEMS as if it has spun down, but it would be nice if it completely powered down -- as, once again, my defunct Seagate used to do. (To be fair, I suppose I should give it 10 or 15 minutes to see if it eventually completely powers down......)

MyBook Essential 2tb sets up okay. Software and driver is installed on the drive so when you connect the software and driver is installed. You will probably have to check WD website for driver update and firmware update, etc. Beware, if your PC does not have already installed and turned on the Microsoft. Net Framework Client Profile, you will either have to locate it and turn it on or you will have to download it and turn it on. In my case I have a new PC with Windows 7 64-bit OS. The Microsoft. Net Framework Client Profile (version 3.5.1) was installed on my PC (probabley came with Win 7) but it was not turned on (for whatever reason). So, WD Tech Support had me check this item and turn on the two available options for the Framework and reboot the PC. Problems that I was having was either the PC did not recognize this WD MyBook Essential HD on Startup or the external HD would disconnect from the OS on its own. The other problem that occured after I did my first / initial Backup of data from the PC to this drive, is that the WD SmartWare menue would no longer open. If you want to do automatic backups, per WD product description, you will need this WD SmartWare application. The WD SmartWare application needs the Microsoft. Net Framework Client Profile turned on in order for WD SmartWare to operate. Right now I am not real pleased with this new USB 3.0 external drive. Yes, it is connected to the PC via USB 3.0 cabel and USB 3.0 PCI port on the motherboard. USB 3.0 is not 10 times faster than USB 2.0, but it is faster as long as the drive works properly, which remains to be seen.

Update:

All the things WD had me do to make the 2tb HD work properly have not worked. My PC refusses to recognize this HD. So, both the 2tb & 1tb (which I did not set up) are being returned to Amazon.com for a refund. Great service from Amazon.com.

Exactly what the problem is I do not know and I do not think WD is able to resolve the situation. WD will replace the 2tb HD however, at this point I can not trust the unit to function properly with Win 7 64-bit. - Backup Drive - External Hard Drive - My Book - Hard Drive'

Womens Vitamins

After using this vitamin supplement for over a year, I'm sold on it. I've tried many other brands of vitamins designed specifically for women, but no others have been so easy to digest (with or without food) and so complete. Yes, they are BIG pills, but you only take one a day and can break it in half if you need to do so. Loaded with good stuff that includes a vegetable juice complex, women's nourishing blend and complete digestive support (probiotics), in addition to a well-balance multivitamin.

NOTE: This women's multivitamin is tough to beat as it's only taken once a day and maximizes many of the recommended daily values, however most women will want/need to supplement with additional calcium as that is the one area where based upon the daily recommended values, it is lacking.

Included in this multivitamin are the following: (taken directly from the product packaging)

Vitamin A, 5000 IU - 100% recommended daily value

Vitamin C, 120mg - 200%

Vitamin D, 800IU - 200%

Vitamin E, 100IU - 333%

Vitamin K, 100mcg - 125% **not found in all multivitamins.

Vitamin B-1, 25mg - 1667%

Riboflavin (B-2), 25mg - 1471%

Niacin, 25mg - 125%

Vitamin B-6, 25mg - 1250%

Folic Acid, 800mcg - 200%

Vitamin B-12, 25mcg - 417%

Biotin, 150mcg - 50%

Vitamin B-5, 25mg - 250%

Calcium, 200mg - 20% **additional supplement needed.

Iron, 6mg - 33%

Magnesium, 100mg - 25%

Zinc, 10mg - 25%

Selenium, 200mcg - 286%

Copper, 1mg - 50%

Manganese, 2mg - 100%

Chromium, 200mcg - 167%

Molybdenum, 75mcg - 100%

Choline, 20mg

Insitol, 20mg

Boron, 1mg

Citrus Bioflavonoid Complex, 25mg

Women's Nourishing Blend: 125mg which includes Dong Quai root extract, Organic Spirulina, Red Clover blossom extract.

Vegetable Juice Complex: 10mg which includes Kale, Spinach, Dandelion Greens and Beets

Complete Digestive Support: includes Protease, Amylase, Lipase, Cllulase and Lactobacilus.

Betaine HCL, 10mg

Guaranteed 100% natural, this vitamin contains no dairy/lactose, sugar, wheat, yeast or gluten.

In conclusion, this is one vitamin supplement that has made a positive difference in my life and I will continue to take it - recommending it to other women, especially those who are perimenopausal, have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome or other energy zapping woes.

UPDATE: July 25, 2011

I did the unthinkable and tried another product for 3 months, but am now going back to Rainbow Light. The other: GNC WOMEN's Ultra Mega 90 Caplets did nothing for me in terms of energy or immune system boosting, and left me wondering why I'd paid good money for 'ultra mega'. Must have liked the name... and had a moment of weakness in the GNC store looking for Rainbow Light!

Currently I'm taking Rainbow Light Women' s Nutritional System Multivitamin Supplement Food Based Tablets 180 tablets, which has EVEN MORE of the good stuff in this vitamin with complete digestive support and 'balance and vitalizing blend'. 1200mg of Calcium...120% of your daily dose with this one means no calcium supplement needed. Higher in 'C' and some others too.

I made the shift back to Rainbow Light and don't intend to ever make the mistake of leaving them again, but chose to give this one a shot because I'm in need of the 'hormone balancing' herbs. Yes, I've hit perimenopause and according to the Rainbow Light website, this is the vitamin they recommend for me.

The upside - no stomach upset with or without food and the pills are about half the size of this one. The bad... the recommended serving per day is 6 tablets. Yes, more expensive and inconvenient, but truthfully if the 'hormone balancing' works - I'd take darn near anything 6 times a day. Right now I'm only on week 3 of taking them and not sure if they'll be better for me than 'one', but I'm optimistic. I trust the brand and the thought that goes into each formulation. If you're having similar issues go to the Rainbow Light website and take their questionare to see which formula is recommended for you. Rainbow Light Women's One Multivitamin 90 tablets

These are the best ever, they actually make you feel better and with more energy. I absolutely love them and wouldn't take any other. They are all natural and have extra B vitamins as well as others. FYI, they are large pills, they don't taste the best and just a word of caution, never take them on an empty stomach, it could make you nauseous. Remember, they will make you feel wonderful for the rest of the day!!!

I have tried a lot of different multi-vitamins on the market. Many of them made me very sick even when eating food. Some other vitamins like GNC's were so hard to swallow and they tasted horrible.

Rainbow Light vitamins didn't make me feel sick at all. They aren't hard to swallow and the best part is you only have to take 1 a day. I can't say enough good things about these vitamins. I LOVE THEM!!! Both my hubby and I use them.

I love these vitamins. For years I have been taking Centrum and One a day w/o really feeling the effects of them. Then after reading The Natural Cures I learned that most of the vitamins on the shelf are synthetic and you don't absorb them. I choose this one b/c although it wasn't organic like he recommended it was all natural. The first day I tool these I felt a huge difference. W/i a week I was more alert, had more energy, better memory and no menstrual pains. I have recommended this vitamin to all my friends. I love it!

So i work in an office, a very large office (500+ people in a big open area basically) at this point you could say there is an epidemic of near plague proportions in the halls, at least half the staff has been sick in the past 2 months (i promise you fellow Amazon shopper i am not exaggerating). Needless to say i have not gotten sick at all and i know these vitamins have helped me stay healthy.

I started taking these vitamins about a month ago and within a week i felt like i had more energy... maybe to much since i tend to be an energized person; i was able to cut my coffee intake in half.

I have Irritable Bowel Syndrome and these vitamins have extra stuff like beets (which i have eaten to improve my digestive system in the past) which i have noticed seem to be helping me not take my medications as much, and have less flair-ups. these vitamins tend to be easy on the stomach, but i would recommend taking them with food to be on the safe side.

I highly recommend these vitamins to anyone who i looking for a potent, long lasting, supplement.'

Macbook Pro Battery - macbook pro, laptop battery

This battery definitely did not meet my criteria as a suitable replacement.

On the plus side: as near as I can tell, it did actually store electricity and allow that electricity to be used to power my laptop. And after all, that's pretty much the bare minimum a battery ought to be able to do and still be called a battery.

On the negative side: the fit-and-finish of this battery was awful. Something minor like the slightly-different LED status lights (no diffuser to reduce glare, simple on/off rather than Apple's industrial-engineered "fill-up" animation) can easily be overlooked. After all, that has no effect whatsoever on the actual performance of the battery.

But other issues did. The first battery that was delivered to me, the status button wasn't even operable; it was stuck in the "on" position. A replacement battery shipped to me, the button fell off upon opening the package and had to be re-glued. Even after that, the button didn't rest flush with the battery case, causing it to scrape on surfaces (my lap, the table, etc.) that the computer was sitting on.

Operationally, there were also problems with the compatibility with my laptop. The computer never would recognize that the battery had reached a full charge; instead, once the battery got to 100%, the charging would cycle every few seconds between "Charging", "Calculating", and "Charged", with the green/orange power cable light toggling back and forth as the status changed.

Note: I did perform the recommended battery calibration _and_ reset of power management for the computer. The above behavior happened in spite of that.

Also, it appears that the battery doesn't support the Mac OS X Battery Updater, as inspecting the battery status in the System Profiler showed null ("0000") values for the various firmware revision fields. I suspect that may be related to the inability of the charging system to recognize that the battery was fully charged.

After the second dud, I sent the battery back for a refund. For those on a really tight budget, you might find the various annoyances acceptable. But frankly, I'd say those on a really tight budget ought to be buying a computer that doesn't chew up batteries after just 12 months, and doesn't have a battery so expensive that at $75 the replacement seems dirt cheap. Conversely, if you feel an Apple fits in your budget, you might as well accept that you have to spend another $130/year on batteries. Super-Capacity Li-ion Battery For Apple A1175 MacBook Pro 15-inch series Laptop Notebook Main Battery

I bought this to replace the aging battery in my MacBook Pro. As other reviewers have noted this is not an EXACT replacement of the original and some discrepancies do exist. However, it does work just fine. I've had no issues with battery life which seems if anything superior to the old battery's performance. If you don't care about a perfect fit and seamless seams, this is a great battery.

I have a MacBook Pro. This battery works great & was much cheaper than one from Apple. This one clicks in just fine but fits just a tiny bit loose. I have been using for months & it does not seem to be a problem. Not worth the savings if it damages the laptop, but so far so good. Will report back if I develop issues.

I never write reviews for anything (this is the first one), but I feel it's necessary to warn potential buyers that this battery is worthless. I've had it for just over 3 months now and it has lost half of it's charging capacity. That's after only 44 charging cycles. I've let it run down and then charged it fully to try to restore the original capacity, to no avail. Another problem is that when it runs down to 20 minutes charge left it will erratically lose charge, usually shutting down my macbook without warning. I feel like this battery is not compatible with the 15" macbook pro. I just installed snow leopard last week, which has a battery detection feature. It's giving me the "Service Battery: The battery isn't functioning normally, and you may or may not notice a change in its behavior or the amount of charge it holds" message. Amazon should not allow this seller to sell these faulty batteries.

My wife purchased this for me as a gift. I had it on my wish list, despite some negative reviews. I received the battery and it had about 93% charge. Though I suspect this wasn't quite accurate as it seemed to drain rather fast down to 85%. I was prepared for some inaccuracy. As far as I've read 3rd party batteries can have some conflicts with the accuracy of the percent shown. The battery seemed to hold up okay, I was doing a lot of video editing to run the battery down quickly so I could put a charge to it and properly cycle the battery.

The Macbook Pro gave me the reserve power warning. Though at the 24 minute mark, vs the usual 9minutes on my old Apple battery. The computer still ran for at least 15 minutes before going to sleep due to low power. I plugged in the magsafe power adapter. "NOT CHARGING" says the indicator in my menu bar. The light on the power adapter is green, indicating a fully charged battery. I removed the charger and the computer went back to sleep, logically. Plugged it back in and still "NOT CHARGING" I reset the PRAM, the SMC. No effect. I put in my old battery and it will charge.

After taking this battery out I noticed it was warped on the ends. Slightly more than a fit and finish issue if you ask me. I wonder if the battery was improperly handled or charged improperly at the factory.

I am returning this item and will just fork out the dough for the Apple battery. - Macbook Pro - Apple - Laptop Batteries - Laptop Battery'

Touchscreen - mp4, cheap

This item only had one review so i thought i would share info on this great player. I only paid [...] for this,so how much can you really expect, right? First of all i got free shipping(which i wouldn't do again)and they held the product for five days before shipping.Once they shipped it,it came by usps so it was not bad.Anyhow, this ipod copy(as they call them)does everything it's supposed to and more.I am not by any means a computer geek or software specialist but i had a full length movie loaded in it the first night. Shocked Me!!But i did do one important thing,i read the instructions on the website and followed them. first try, loaded a current movie(1.35 gb).played perfectly. this was so easy because you just open the player up on usb and find the file (movie, song, pics)and just drag it over to the player. It took about 4 minutes do download the whole 1.35 gb movie.Remember you have to follow instructions including downloading the converting software but that was very easy too.The fm radio works well with no problems.I was very surprised at how good the touchscreen works. Very easy to move around with soft touches. You do have to click twice but that soon becomes second nature.Easy to get through the video for fast forward. If you leave the movie and come back you can return to the same spot.Tried the micro mini sd slot (2gb is the only one i have) and the player reads it well.It charges very easily. Only concern i have is battery life, seems to go quickly, but is getting better the more i use it. But i did play music for about 5 hours and the battery was a little less than half,so it might be fine.Touchscreen is not chintzy like a lot of people say about some of these players.Comes with a built in stylus for pointing, but i haven't even got it out of the player yet because my fingernail works fine. The voice recorder works good. The speakers work but are very low decibel. You won't use them much, but you can hook up a pair of off market speakers with no problem.i bought a square trade warranty for 5 bucks which will cover this for three years. So to wrap it up i have to say(you probably think i work for pyrus or something)but i am just an average jerk like anyone else and wanted to let people in on what a great player this is! Pyrus Electronics 4gb Mp3 / mp4 / mp5 Player with 2.8 Inch Touch Screen and All Stainless Steel Casing

I have three words for this item and they are listed above. This item is just beautiful. The stainless steel casing, the touch screen, the UI and the functionalities. Everything just stands out. What more can I say about it? It does not have all the fency functions as iPod Touch but it has everything one can expect from a music/video player. Buy and you will not regret.

I was searching for an MP3 without the complexities as the apple ipod. The only issue I have is that I don't like the earphones provided and I would like to get a case for it, if anyone has any suggestions please advise. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my buy. I've dowloaded music very easy and overall everything is what I expected in an MP3 easy to use, sound system is great and pictures on videos are better than Apple's ipod, i can actually see them. Is just what I wanted for the price I can't go wrong!! I highly recommend it.

I bought this Mp3 player for my 9 year old daughter and she absolutely loves it. The pictures doesn't do this Mp3 any justice! I was a little apprehensive about purchasing it because it's not very expensive but I'm so glad that I did. The player is very durable and the hot pink stainless steel is absolutely gorgeous. The instruction manual that came with it wasn't that good, but we managed to figure it out. it seemed a little dated. Right out of the box the Mp3's touch screen was very responsive but you may have to plug in the charger because it may be dead. The battery was really low. We didn't inquire any issues while setting it up and the sound quality is excellent. I was a little surprised by the video quality because I didn't expect it to be that good but it was. The Mp3 player is loaded with some sample pictures, music and video. It also comes with a CD to use on the computer but we didn't need it because when we plugged it up to the computer with the provided USB cable, it recognized the Mp3 player right away and began to install the driver for it. We were able to transfer music to the player in a matter of minutes. The Mp3 player comes with a stylus but it is soooooooooooo tiny!!! We had a difficult time locating it on the player. The stylus is attached to the Mp3 player like the The Nintendo DS's stylus is but at least with the DS, you can locate it fairly easily! If you're not looking carefully, you will miss it. It's that tiny. There is also a little nifty carrier case that it comes with. I also like the fact that you can also install a SD card if you chose to do so. Overall I'm 100% happy with this purchase and so is my daughter! Now she will stop bugging me about using my phone to listen to music! - Mp4 - Mp3 - Cheap - Pink'

Next Generation - next generation, ir repeater

I ordered this as a replacement for the original transmitter that came with the NGHP remote extender, which got overheated and destroyed due to a short circuit inside the remote.

The replacement works just as good as the original one, is fully compatible with my existing NGHP receiver.

Note that this item includes not only the transmitter but also one rechargeable 2/3 height AAA battery and an AA size plastic sleeve.

Either if you lost or ruined your original NHGP remote extender's transmitter or you just want to extend an extra remote control using the same receiver, this is the perfect choice.

Note that although the picture shows a red coloured transmitter (418MHz) this is actually a blue transmitter compatible with 433MHz receivers only.

Bottom line: Highly recommended. Extra Rf Battery Transmitter for Ath-aaa

This is a wonderful product. I got an extra battery transmitter to go with the main unit so I'd have an extra. Now I can control my DVR which is in the kitchen, and use remotes in two other parts of the house without having to go where it's located. Works great and holds the charge for a long time.

I own 2 complete sets and one extra battery-transmitter. All of the equipment worked fine right out of the box.I have a three story home and have had no trouble with the signal, from the top floor to the basement. Next-Gen. works well with all 3 of my Direct TV remotes. It should be noted that Next-Gen.makes two distinct sets. One works at 433mz and the other works on 418mz.The 433mz is the most common, and the transmitter-battery has blue printing. Also, 433 is printed on the reciever. These components must match. The 418 battery- transmitter has red printing and can only be used with a 418 reciever. Those people who are having trouble may have mis-matched components. The vendors on Amazon should make this very clear. Finally,I believe that the two seperate Mz sets are offered so that closely situated people (Apts.etc) can operate seperate sets of electronic equipment without interference. - Next Generation - Ir Emitter - Remote-control Extenders - Ir Repeater'
