My four year old enjoys the jacket and helmet but does not play with the toy fire extinguisher, toy bullhorn, name tag or badge. The jacket has three velcro tabs on the front to keep it closed. The jacket is machine washable and is trimmed with reflective material. The back of the jacket says "Fire Chief". The jacket was a bit smaller than I thought. My son is four and is of average weight and the jacket is a little on the snug side. The helmet is adjustable. This has held up well to normal play. The cost is normally around thirty dollars. I bought this for my 3 year old to wear for Halloween and have for dress up for a while to come. It is nice quality, the jacket is flexible and soft - not plastic. The helmet is heavier duty than his other fireman's helmet and can be adjusted for size. The props are fun. They don't stay in the velcro loops all that well, but what 3 year old would leave them there for long anyway? The siren sound effect on the loudspeaker isn't appallingly loud and it's fun. That's what it's all about.

Received thisMelissa & Doug Fire Chief Role Play Costume Set costume for Christmas present. Bullhorn was stuck and could not turn off. Also the sticker on the side was half scraped off. The bottle lid cross threads and will not close securely. Costume looks nice, but don't expect anything from the accessories.

Overall, this is a good quality product, compared to other similar products available. I love the fact that the jacket washable and not made of plastic. The hat is a little flimsy and the toy horn is really loud and annoying. We had to cover the horn up to muffle the sound, since our son loves playing with it.

We bought this as a gift for a 3 year old boy. He loves it! It comes with a fire extinguisher and bullhorn that he uses to put out "fires" and save dolls. The coat is a little large but he will grow into it soon enough. Great toy for pretend play.

I bought this for my son for a halloween costume. I was worried that it would not fit him because he is a small 3 year old (36" and 28 lbs)and i could not find any sizing in the description. I was impressed with the costume and the quality. I had to roll up the sleeves a little bit (which did not look akward or bulky) and the jacket is slightly long, but he looks too darling in it and we got a lot of complements. the bonus was the little toys that come with it...they just attach to the jacket, so he did not have to carry it in hand while carrying his bag of candy. I did not put batteries in the megaphone thing because i read in the reviews that it was annoying, so i did not EVEN show that to my son...he just pretended to shout in it. it's worth the $$--he always wants to play with all that stuff on. the hat is adjustable, which is a plus since I can never find hats that fit his large cranium. good buy.

This is the second Melissa and Doug toy we have purchased that has stopped working shortly after we purchased it. The toy bullhorn literally lasted an hour before it broke. I'm tempted to send the whole thing back. I would say don't purchase anything from Melissa and Doug that is supposed to make sounds.

This costume is great and I love that it comes with toys! Just a word of warning - that bullhorn looking thing comes with a REALLY loud siren sound. REALLY LOUD! Not the best combination w/a 3 year old boy! But the jacket and hat are excellent quality and the fire extinguisher is cute too. You might just want to hide the bullhorn/siren before you give it to your kid...'

i needed to record a cell phone conversation and this was the absolute cheapest way to do it. the earpiece has a microphone on the opposite side that records what is being said by whomever you're talking to, plus your voice (a bit louder). i bought it friday and it got to my house by monday. amazing.



one thing: this mic doesn't have its own power source, so whatever recording device you plug it into must be able to supply power. i used an olympus VN-2100 digital recorder and it worked almost flawlessly. i say almost because the mic doesn't record in stereo, it records in mono. but the record volume is loud and comes out very very clear even if the earpiece/mic isn't right on top of the phone receiver.



you will not be able to do this any better for the money. a lot of online spy shops are charging $200 or more for this same function. i got this mic (which will record cell phone and land line conversations) plus a digital recorder for under $50. Olympus TP-7 Telephone Recording Device

I'm a writer, and I spent way too much time trying to find a good solution for recording phone calls -- everything from Skype to Radio Shack gadgets that had to get connected through an analog phone. When I ordered this, I was actually stunned with how simply it works, and how well. I use it with my cell or home phones and it does the job perfectly. It's one of those things that seems so simple, you wonder why no one else came up with this solution sooner. I can't recommend this highly enough.

I bought this to use with the Olympus DS series recorders, but it should work with most recorders that have inputs. It does come with adapters for mono, stereo, and mini-jack, and, of course you can buy additional adapters...



The phone recording works fine. Have confidence that it's working and remember to keep your own voice low to keep more of a balance in the recording. Sometimes, too, the playback on the computer turns out to be more balanced and better sounding than the sound on the device's own speaker.



And, as a bonus, you may want to use this mic for interviews rather than the tie-clip mic or the RS29. With the TP7 in your ear, it records people speaking next to you, or, across from you, very well.



Bottom line, if I only bought one accessory for recording with a DS recorder, this might be my first and only pick.



If it had a "pause" feature, I'd bump my review from four stars to six....

This microphone seems well made, despite being inexpensive, and the sound quality is good. But there are disadvantages. First, you have to wear it in your ear as you talk. That's awkward for me. I can feel it between the phone and my ear and it gets in the way, sonically -- you don't hear as well with it in. Worse, it records my voice much more loudly than the person at the other end of the line.



So, yes, it works, and yes, I can get used to it, but it's not an ideal solution.

I use the telephone pickup with a DS2 recorder, though it seems to me that it would work with almost any recorder that had a standard mike input jack.



The device is a small, foam-cushioned microphone (about the size of an i-pod bud) that you put in your ear... So it picks up the acoustic vibrations as they pass between the telephone and your own eardrum. In contrast to magnetic pickups that can show up on sniffers, I don't see any way that the people at the other end would know that the conversation is being recorded when this purely acoustic pickup is used.



I have used it to record business transactions with large corporations, covering my responsibility by saying their standard phrase "this conversation may be recorded for quality assurance purposes". (I wonder whether it is fair to say this while we are in the "for information on your bill, please press 3 now" phase of the transaction? )





Overall, the results with the TP-7 were satisfactory --- the telephone's audio output seems to be major factor in determining the ovreall quality of the recording that one makes. This pickup offers a fairly simple, economical way of recording both ends of a telephone conversation.

I need a way to record conversations on my cell phone to my Olympus recorder this product make the process work. I get clear sound, and it also can work as a voice mike to bring it closer to the people I am taking in person statements from. You just place the product in your ear and the mike picks up the voice from the cell phone and your own voice. Crystal Clear

I purchased the Olympus TP-7 Telephone Recording Device to record phone interviews and have been pleased with it. I use it with an Olympus WS-320M. Interviews are typically under an hour and the earpiece fits comfortably for that duration. I have not worn it for longer than that. The recording quality has met my needs. There is some difference in volume however I transfer the files to my computer for transcription and am easily able to use the media player features to compensate for the difference in volumes levels between voices, so this was not a negative for my purposes. Recording in stereo was not a requirement for me, but this could be a consideration for others. I felt this was a good purchase for the price.

After reading the comments about the mic only working with recorders that provide power to the mic, when I at first tried it with my pc as the recording device and it didn't work I thought that was that. On a whim I plugged it in using the included stereo adapter and then it worked great.

This charger is designed for laptop batteries, so don't worry about being anemic on the power. The selector switch can pick 15, 16, 18, 18.5, 19, 19.5, 20, 22 and 24 volts power. Not only that, but there is a device to lock your selection so the switch doesn't accidentally move and fry your device. That is awesome!



After I received it, I discovered that the input voltage can vary all over the place, 120v, 240v, it really doesn't matter and the electronics sense the voltage supplied to the device. You can take this puppy to Europe, Africa, South America, just switch the standard input plug and you're good to go!



There are plenty of different output plugs to fit just about anything. I am very impressed with this great charger and doubly impressed by the price. The only thing that does not impress me is that the rating above asked me to rate the charger's battery life. That's food for thought...

Purchased and had to return for my T61p lenovo / ibm laptop. The tips supplied do not fit the larger plug size on this laptop. Technical description on website say it is a 90 watt adapter, package matches the photo and it shows as a 70 watt adapter. Power brick is small and light, cables are skinny. Not sure how durable it would be. I would have kept it if it would have fit my plug.

This was the second charger I bought in a month. This brand works a lot better than the other cheap one I bought. I definitely recommend it. Only downfall is that it sticks straight out of my laptop about an inch.... can't beat the price though

I bought this item for my RC battery charger's power supply when my original failed. It works perfectly, no loss of power. As a bonus I can use it with my laptop as well since it came with so many adapters.

I bought this for my Russound A-Bus system. The original power supply was rated at 20-25V, 3A max, and 60W. The tip was 5.5 x 2.5 mm. This adaptor works very well and the tip that comes with this universal adaptor is (any additional adaptor) 5.5 x 2.5mm which fit perfectly.

The product powered my Sony laptop but the charger did not have a 19.5 volt selection as indicated. The fairly new battery does not charge with this adapter, and it may be because the only selection I have is the 19 volt setting.



Because the universal adaptor connector sticks out so far, my laptop connector was damaged due to stress when sitting in and getting out of the recliner chair. I was warned of this by an earlier reviewer.



Anyway, I had to hard-wire the adaptor to the laptop. So because of this and the inability of the charger to charge my battery, my laptop is basically a portable desktop unit.

Only lasted two weeks! The product is not what the picture shows, and the durability of it is horrible. I do not recommend this product to anyone. I will pay for a brand name item now that I have returned this!

Adaptor is new, pins are new (unlike another that I bought).



Build quality seems decent.



All voltages are stable and seem well regulated.



Charges Thinkpad Edge 13 and Thinkpad X201 (at 20V), even though I had my doubts about X201. NOTE: the pins on this are NOT compatible with Thinkpad Edge 13 and Thinkpad X201 - I had pins from a previous adaptor that fit with this adaptor (thank $DEITY for semi-standards!).



Let's see how long this lasts. Another no-name adaptor I had bought died within a couple months (most likely a bad capacitor).



Aside: I would have liked a 5V USB outlet too, but at this price, that would be asking for too much.

I liked the initial performance, but after a few days, the adapter was getting worse than the original that I wanted to replace. Seems to be working out great on our Whirlpool Gold side-by-side. It seems to be the exact filter that the fridge came with, but it also came with a vinyl removable sticker that has the month you bought it and the month it needs to be replaced. Very helpful!

Price and Shipping were great...but after I replaced the filter, the water tasted so horrible that I had to spit it out. We do not have well water or a community well, so I was a bit scared. I drained a few glasses of the water and it seems ok, but I'm still a bit worried. Does anyone know if you're supposed to drain the water a gallon or so after replacing the filter?'

I really learnt a lot more about the yorubas..Informative ....interesting However what happened to the his co-other (sodipo) there was no mention of him as he(Hallen) would have learnt a lot from his friend (sodipo) -a yoruba man. I was a little worried buying one of these for so little money, but it delivered. It fits the Inspire 4G perfectly. It looks great and is overall just a great purchase. I've purchase much worse quality for a lot more money in local electronics stores. The material also doesn't have that "stickiness" that the silicon skins have so when I put it in my pocket it doesn't get hung up on the fabric, yet there's still enough friction not to slide around in my hand when I'm using my phone.

I'm going to make this review short because there is not much to say about this case. It's simple to install, easy to use, and protects my HTC Inspire 4g for att from scratches and drops. It was estimated for arrival in one month, but it arrived in one week, which was pretty fast since it came from HongKong. The case fits superb, I was imaging it being loose and made of cheap material, but no it fits perfectly and feels great.



Overall it is a best buy!

This case is a great fit. Nice and snug on my HTC Inspire 4G. Has a good grip so it won't slip out of my hand when pulling it from my pocket. The volume controls are not obstructed at all and fits perfectly around camera, lights and ports. The power button on the top is a little off and it takes a second try or three to press it, but not a big deal unless you're in a hurry to put it away.

this is amazing. for 3 dollars you get everything you would want in a case, AND it looks good. Fits great, easy to put on and to remove, and nice sized cut outs and buttons that actually make the power button EASIER to push. Only complaint is that the case is more of a finger print magnet than the phone itself. But scratches are barely noticeable. Definitely the best case around the under $20 price range.

I was skeptical about buying this because it was so cheap because we all know that you get what you pay for but this is the exception. It is very well made and fits my phone perfectly, has a nice feel to it too. Not too tacky but not slippery either. It also looks great on my Inspire. The shipping was very fast as well. this cover is great for this phone it snaps on securely and covers the phone nicely, the edges are raised from the screen so if you put it face down on something the screen doesn't touch the surface, the rubber is smooth to the touch but will stick to certain surfaces, like my dining table, overall a great protective cover that looks great for my expensive droid

I just received this cover for my Inspire and put it on. I purchased the phone about a week ago and was paranoid that I was going to drop it. I bought this to put on it until I could find a more permanent solution. It fits the phone perfectly, and it even made tapping the power button slightly easier. I didn't really care for the circle pattern, but for 5 dollars I can overlook that. I was initially hesitant to buy this camera since there were ZERO reviews to be found, either here at Amazon, or elsewhere on the internet. But, since I've owned two previous Nikon Coolpix cameras (an old 4 MP camera, and a really old 2 MP camera) and both were great, I wasn't too worried. And I was right to buy it: it is working great and taking great photos, after several days of playing around with it.



First of all, it is very user-friendly. The menus and controls are completely intuitive, and make sense even if you have not cracked open the manual. ("cracked open" being a bit of a misnomer, since the manual is electronic only; the paper manual that comes with it is just a "quick start guide")



Second of all, it is a gorgeous piece of machinery; cute and cuddly and shiny and impressive. I'm afraid my girlfriend is going to try to steal it, it is so cute. I may have to buy her one to preemptively stop that from happening.



But, most of all, it takes great pictures. I walked all over town the first day, putting it through its paces, and scrutinized the photos on my computer when I got back home. If I was going to have to return it, I wanted to do so quickly, but I don't need to. The photos are great.



It is a point-and-shoot, which means that you don't have direct control over shutter speed, aperture, etc. But, you do have a dozen or so "scene modes" including Beach, Museum, Sunset, Panorama, Action, etc. These are very handy. I haven't tried them all yet, but they seem to be well designed.



The second day, I put the camera through its paces inside the house. No problems; it takes great indoor shots, providing excellent exposures both with natural light and with the flash. The wide-angle 4.9 mm lens (equivalent angle of view to a 27 mm lens in a 35mm format camera) was especially nice: you can stand in a corner of a room, and get the entire room into the photo! Nothing left out. That is pretty unusual in an inexpensive fixed-lens camera.



My third day test was to take the camera to the beach on a bright, contrasty day. It performed admirably, maintaining both shadow and highlight details, and rendering the deep blues of the sky and water, as well as the bright sand, equally well. This one's a keeper, folks!



Another nice plus: there is a "16x9" mode available in the "shooting mode" options. This doesn't quite use all 4000x3000 pixels; it only uses 3968x2232 of them. But the images are perfect "HD" format, and completely fill up a typical wide-screen monitor without any stretching. Somehow, they look all the more impressive on a computer screen than the typical 4x3 ratio.



Final tidbit: I bought the camera from Amazon, which was $10 cheaper than the local big-box store, had no sales tax, AND allowed me a 30 day return period with no restocking fee (which would have been 14 days AND a restocking fee at the local store; they need to get a clue).

What a GREAT camera. I had been cursed with the kodak easy share (older model) for years now and no matter what, I could only take about 10 pics before the battery died. I love the Nikon its small- light weight and perfect fit for me! Im not a professional photographer but I can take some great pics with this camera. The options that the menue gives you for photos is amazing! I would highley recomend this camera above kodak! They made everything VERY easy for inital set up also! Once I opend the package, did the camera set up, I was ready to take pictures within 3 minutes (once I charged the battery fully which only took about 30 minutes). I bought this camera because I was going on vacation and was tired of going places with an unreliable heavy camera and now feel so lucky to have this one! Ive never taken so many pictures before that its like a whole new world for me. This camera will also give you and option for "blink protection", "auto correct", and so MANY other options. Great camera, great price compaired to Walmart, Target, and other store/web-sites. Also Amazon was the only place I could get this cool green color. Stores werent carrying this color yet (only the purple, black, and some of them had the orange). One last thing I want to mention is the speed of taking the pictures. What I was used to was press the button wait about3-4 seconds then wait about 8 more seconds before you could shoot your next one-not so with the Nikon. I can practically take pic after pic with it - its great!

Before I bought this camera I did a lot of research on digital cameras. I narrowed it down to three brands. Canon, Nikon, and Sony. It took a very long time to make a decision since I didn't want to buy crap. I eventually settled in the Nikon brand because I am very familiar with its features and camera functions. I was replacing a cheaper older model of a Nikon Coolpix L10. So, I was definitely going spend a little over $100 for this camera, but then again cameras have come a long way since the 2007. Even if I didnt buy the S3000 I knew I would get something better than my older camera due to the advancement of the compact camera technology.



This camera is great for everyday/events picture taking. After having the camera for a few days, I tested it out when I went to a family reunion. I got many compliments and inquiries about where i got the camera from. I believe I took about 100 pics in the two days spanning the family reunion.



Camera Features:



I took pics using a wide variety of the camera's features. The micro mode was pretty cool, the camera was able to focus on the subject and the picture did not come out blurry.



It was pretty easy to take a pic in panorama mode. At first when I took the pics that would make up the panorama pic, I wasnt sure how the whole pic would come out, but the panorama maker software that comes with the did wonders. Once you out the pieces of the panorama pic in the correct order the software makes the panorama picture for you. Now that I know that I made a great panorama photo I will be using this feature very much in the future.



This camera definitely tells you if someone blinked in the photo after the photo has been taken and you can always opt to take another pic. Continuous shot selecter is also a nice feature. You can choose to take 3 continuous shots or 16 continuous. Pics in low-light or darkness are excellent and always give light exposure buy the flash and orange light on the front of the camera. I took a picture in my room with the only source of light in the room being light from a television and the picture came out as if a ceiling light was on.



Other features that are nice are skin-softening, smart portrait(recognizes faces), 17 scene modes including panorama, subject tracking



Video:

For a compact camera, the video quality was great. The sound quality was also excellent inside the video too. Playback on my laptop was seamless. You could hear words and sentences very well in the background of the video. It's NOT HD, but I could make out everyone in the video and nothing at all was blurry.





Battery is a plus since you can charge it, as oppose to change AA batteries all the time. The charge is very short as well.

Definitely get a case for this camera, it is very compact, slim, and small. I have a case logic compact digital camera case. I bought my case at Walmart for $7 and cents. I feel like my camera is very well protected.



Overall I am very happy with my purchase of the Nikon Coolpix s3000. Its a great everyday camera for the busy college student or for someone who just wants to capture life's moments.
