Pirates Of The Caribbean - action, 3d

Let me start this review by saying the 3 Stars is not for the movie itself, or necessarily the package, because I am sure it will be great. I myself, maybe I might be overrating it, but I loved this movie. I thought it was much closer to the fun and surprise of the first movie, and not the bad dialogue and pacing issues of the second and third. Depp was great as usual, the new villain was awesome, and the movie was so much fun! It wasn't flawless, but it was really good.

Now as for this package, I would be more than happy to buy it. However, Disney really did a good job of ripping off the buyers who don't have a 3D TV.

This is not the only edition of the movie on Blu-Ray, but this is the best one to buy. The five disc set consists of The 3D Blu Ray disc of the movie, a standard Blu Ray edition, a special features disc on a REGULAR blu-ray, a DVD copy, and a Digital Copy of the film. So what's the problem? Well me myself, I do not own a 3D player, but I love special features on Blu-Ray discs and for DVD's, so I like to buy the edition where I can have all of my special features.

However, what Disney did with this release is they put the standard Blu-Ray disc with all of the special features ONLY IN THIS RELEASE! In the other Blu Ray release of this film, it only includes the movie on Blu-Ray and the Movie on DVD. No special Features Disc to be found, but it is in this version.

This is really scummy by Disney because not only do standard people who don't want a copy of it in 3D get ripped off of special features, but also us who like our features will have to dig out some more money to pay for it. This edition is about 5-10 dollars more expensive than the standard Blu Ray and not only because of the extra disc, but because of the 3D!

It really makes me annoyed because I love special features, and I thought this movie was really good! But I am going to have a tough decision to make whether to buy this edition or not. I don't know, what do you guys think? Me myself? I might not even end up buying the movie because of this. Darn shame, I was looking forward to getting it. I'm living in South Korea. Here they just released the 3D Blu-Ray of "Pirates of Caribbean 4' ahead of States.

Guess I don't need to babble about the movie itself . What I did care only was the 3D effects with my Sony

3D A/V systems. Conclusion: Getting better everyday nowadays. Can't go back to 2D Dayz anymore.

For number 4 in this series, this bad boy isn't a stinker. I did miss Bloom and Knightley, but Depp is still good/bad ol Cap'n Jack, and Rush is back as well bringing his creepy elements to the whole story. Penelope Cruz adds a little feminine touch as the daughter (? is she or isn't she?) of the infamous Blackbeard.

And speaking of feminine touch. I will NEVER look at a mermaid quite the same way again. Shudder. Who knew?

If you are a big fan of Depp and Captain Jack you will probably need to watch this at least once. And if you are waffling as to whether to invest your money and your time in number 4... Red Box or Netflix it. A few laughs, some neat special effects, a couple of fights, some nastiness and those mermaids....ugh.

Here is a rule of thumb. Each Pirate movie is exponentially worse than the one previous. The first being a classic, the second being highly entertaining, but not quite as special as the first. The 3rd was a bloated mess. The 4th was worse yet with a pointless plot and phoned in performances by most of the acting core. I fear for the 5th, but based on my infallible observations, it will be less than garbage.

Do not buy this unless you are a DEVOTED fan of the Pirates franchise.

This movie pales in comparison to the first. It is not as good as the second or third either. It is bad enough that I actually had to stop watching it and take a break. It just seems cheesy to the point of being stupid. There are a few scenes that make it watchable though. The mermaid scene is really cool and reminds me of the quality of the first movie alot. Other than that it looks like this series has run its course.

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides follows the same formula as the first three movies, monsters, treasure and swashbuckling, but it do not manage to live up to the awesomeness of the first trilogy. The story this time around is that the Spanish, the English and Captain Blackbeard all want the fountain of youth so three ships set sail. Jack Sparrow get involved with this and the race in on, who will get to the fountain first. Now this is not a bad movie, it is entertaining but the plot lack the twists and turns that made the first three movies so fun.This movie suffer from the beating a dead horse for money syndrome. The first trilogy rounds of and ends the story nicely, however as a result of that both Elizabeth Swann and Will Turner was taken out of the picture, now I am glad those that made this film did not decide to ruin that ending and bring those two back, however them missing from the character list give Jack Sparrow very few balancing points and also drives the number of sub plots and plot twists down to almost nothing. Yes they do bring in some new characters but the chemistry just is not there. The fact of the matter is, this movie never needed to be made, the original trilogy have one, contained storyline, that ends. This movie is just made so Disney can milk a few more bucks out of their franchise. Now as for the humor, a big part of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies are the humor, and yes this movie to was funny, but while I in the first trilogy would laugh so hard my eyes would water up, this one was humerus at times but they tried to hard, with over acting and very contrived situations, many of which just where not funny, several times I could not suspend my disbelief because the acting was just bad, not the entire movie mind you bit in some of the scenes, it was like if Disney just said, ah people will buy this film anyway, it is a best selling franchise let us just not give a *beep* about if a scene turns out bad, let us just churn it out anyway, the movie is sloppy.Now I am not saying that Pirates of the Caribbean On Stranger Tides is a bad movie, it have many good scenes, the action is entraining, the story is good and the special effects is often very well done, especially during the mermaid battle. (it is like Disney got tired of hearing how sweet and innocent their mermaids are, for these will rip your face of an enjoy it.) If you like the first three movies in the series I am sure you will enjoy this, it is not bad, it is just that when watching the first three movies I looked down when it was over and saw my popcorn untouched in my hand, the movies had sucked me into it's story making me forget everything else from the first scene until the credits rolled, this movie is merely ok. It is a ok fantasy movie but it is sub par to the rest of the series and it also feels very tacked on.I recommend this movie to fantasy, swashbuckling and action fans, but if you expect it to be of the same caliber as the original Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, then prepare to be disappointed. Camera Bag - superzoom, panasonic

I'm using this for a Canon SX20 IS ultrazoom camera. With the lens hood attached (I like to leave it on), the camera is a hair too long to fit facing front to back, but it does fit turned about 45 degrees so it is facing one corner. If you reverse the hood the camera will fit easily in the "normal" position. Plenty of room for the small 270EX flash on the other side of the divider that is permanently attached at one corner of the bag, with velcro on the other end for adjustments.

Construction seems sturdy. Has a removable shoulder strap without a pad, 2 wide belt loops, and a carrying handle on top. Flap is zippered around the top of the bag, and also has a velcro strip at the end for easier access during actual use.

Inside measurements (without stretching):

Main compartment: 8-1/4" wide x 4" deep x 4" high. (Holds SX20 IS, 270EX flash with some spare room).

Side pockets: about 3-1/2" wide x 3" high x 1" thick (each will hold 4-8 AA batteries)

Front pocket: 7-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" high x 1-1/2" max thick (sort of rounded). Mini tripod, and/or....? Has 3 small pockets for memory cards.

had previously bought a case logic bag for my canon HF-S10, but it only had space for the camcorder, did some web research and found this bag. It is great, has enough space to fit in the camcorder, and accessories. interior is well designed and has extra pockets for cards and wires, I would recommend this bag for the HFS 10 and 100 camcorders.

I replaced an old Lowepro Edit 140 camcorder bag with a new one at a good price. The old one is not worn out, but I have been very rough with it on hiking and bushwhacking trips and I can't clean it up now. The new one is for taking the camcorder to cleaner environments. I have to say that this new version of the same model seems to be a little flimsier (thinner material) than the old one, especially the belt loops, which I use all the time, and which Lowepro seems to be the only company to provide. Only time will tell if they hold up. The bag is the perfect fit for my midsized dv camcorder and its accessories, and is padded very well.

For the price, this is a pretty good bag. It's a little small for me, I tried to pack 2 extra batteries, my charger, camera, lenses and filters, and some extra SDHC cards.. It closed, but it was a little bulky. It is a very good bag, however. Very sturdy, nice and tough.

I own several Lowepro camera cases in many different sizes.

This case is just what I expected it to be: Well built, easy to use, and just the right size for my Panasonic GS-320 Camcorder.

At this point I only buy Lowepro cases for my cameras, this is a great case.

I bought this today locally. I checked it out. This little bag has pockets galore for a bag this small, but it works beautifully! I will be using this as my "personal" bag on my trip to Italy this week. I'll use it to carry my Giottos ball head (1.6 pounds!)for my Giottos tripod (which will be in checked baggage). I'll also pack just a couple of snacks in it for the 14 hour flight to Italy. Abbondanza!

I picked this bag up at Best Buy shortly after I received my Panasonic DMC-FZ35 Super-zoom camera.

The camera and all of its accessories (lens hood, lens hood adapter, battery charger, A/V and USB cable) fit perfectly with room to spare!

I purchased this for use with my new Canon T2i. I use it primarily for shooting full resolution 1080p video, although I shoot stills as well.

The camera choked on the class 4 chip that I originally purchased, but with this one, it is amazing. I can shoot rapidfire 18 megapixel stills (I've tested it up to 30+ shots in a row), and there is no lag. I've never had an error when shooting hi-def video.

I bought this card for my Canon T1i. The card I had been using before ordering this one was a Kingston Class 6 micro sd card and it worked well enough for the type of shooting I did. Class 6 was the card speed that Canon recommended when I bought my T1i (Class 10 cards were not yet available) and it seemed fast enough for the way I used my camera - isolated single photos taken at Medium (8 MP) or Large (15 MP) jpg settings and 1280 x 720 video. And while I ocassionally took continuous photos, I had never much exceeded 5-10 photos in a row and had never run into a problem with my Class 6 card.

When I first saw the Class 10 cards I did some experiments with my camera. How many continuous Large photos could I take before the camera slowed down? It turned out to be about 30. And how many RAW photos could I take before the camera slowed down? It turned out to be about 9. SInce I did not generally take any photos in RAW and never needed more than about 10 continuous photos at Large, the Class 6 card seemed more than sufficient for my needs. But I wondered about the speed of the Class 10 cards enough that I finally bought one.

It turns out that the Class 10 card is sufficiently fast that there does not seem to be a reasonable upper limit on single Large photos. I have taken 60 on continuous without an issue. And although I still cannot take more than 9 RAW photos on continuous with the Class 10 card, when I am finished taking those photos the camera no longer displays a Wait - writing pictures screen. The RAW photos get written from the built-in memory to the card so quickly that the camera does not need to display the Wait screen.

So this card is fast! Given the way I take photos this purchase was unnecessary, but still I am glad I bought it. I know I will not run into a situation where speed is an issue with this card.

I will be writing this review for both SanDisk Extreme SDHC class 10 8gb and Transcend SDHC class 10 16gb.

I bought SanDisk class 10 and Transcend class 10 for my new Panasonic LX5. I got both card because no one really did a comparison with a compact camera and I was just going crazy trying to see if there is any big difference between the 2 cards.

SanDisk Extreme package box indicated it's water proof, x-ray proof, shock proof, temperature proof. I am not ready to spend $50 to see if it really stand up to it's words. And I don't think normal people would go through the extreme condition in taking pictures or videos.

Cut the story short, I really want to see if there is any difference in writing performance between the 2 cards in a compact camera. There is a continuous burst mode in LX5 and the manual indicated it is only limited by the condition of picture environment and performance of the SD card. Within the mode there are 2 different settings:1) speed priority or 2) picture/quality priority. The shutter speed is much faster with speed priority compare to picture priority.

I first formatted both cards out of box then put each card in series of test(3 rounds each setting for each card) shooting at the same object under same lighting condition. The results:

Speed Priority:

SanDisk Class 10 8gb

22-33 shots before camera stopped to allow the card to catch up with writing.

Transcend Class 10 16gb

22-24 shots before camera stopped to allow the card to catch up with writing.

Picture priority

SanDisk Class 10 8gb

34-46 shots before camera stopped

Transcend Class 10 16gb

27-33 shots before camera stopped

It seems that at a higher shutter speed, both cards performed very similar under the same shooting condition. But at a slower shutter speed the SanDisk definitely out perform Transcend. I hope this little experiment satisfied anyone with curiosity like me. Transcend definitely is a bargain with 16gb and almost half of the price compare to SanDisk. But I am going to use SanDisk Extreme as my primary card and Transcend as backup or on a second camera to ensure i would not miss any shots.

OK. this card was around $47 for a class 10 16gb. The other card i bought was a Sandisk class 10 8gb for the around same price. I did a 10 sec stop watch test on both cards with my Rebel T1i on raw and the Sandisk was only faster by 1 shot in a 10 sec burst. to me it seems trivial to pay 47 bucks for a Sandisk 8gig when you can get 16 gigs for the same price. yes i know, the Sandisk is good for arctic and desert temperatures... but i live in western NY... not Antarctica or the Sahara. If your looking for a good card, with more gigs for your buck, the Transcend is well worth it. - 32gb - Memory Card - Class 10 - Sdhc'

Dont Waste Your Money - cassette, cassette recorder

I really urge everyone to stay far away from this product if you value your cassettes. The one I purchased mangled the first cassette I put in (an irreplaceable one - how could I have been so silly as to put it in without testing the player?). In any case, this product really is a piece of junk. But then, you get what you pay for.

I bought this for recording my son playing violin for his review, but the play back sound was terrible.

Not clear and not big enough.

I was very disappointed with this one.

I should have bought Sony one.

I bought several of these for use in my third grade classroom, both for listening to tapes and for kids to record their own books-on-tape. Like others have said, you get what you pay for with this product. Right away I lost three tapes to these machines. Plus, the volume control is extremely touchy... the slightest tap and it's WAY TOO LOUD, slightly tap it the other way and you can't hear a thing. As I haven't even tried to use them as voice recorders (I'm not trusting one more tape to these things!) I can't report on that aspect, but the volume control and tape ruining issues are more than bad enough.

I don't know why the other reviewers are so down on this item. I agree it's not wonderful for listening to music, but if you only listen to talk radio and books on tape, this machine does fine. It has never eaten any tapes I put in it. Can't beat the price. Why pay more for a boombox that has a CD or stereo sound, if you don't need it. These days, it's difficult to find any boombox that plays cassettes - I looked at lots of stores. I'm very happy with this purchase.

i read all the options many times for the colby radios offered. the options state for the model i purchased that it has an external microphone and that you can record with it. the radio has no such option and you can only record from the radio. now iam stuck with it. it will cost me more to send it back than what the radio is worth IAM NOT HAPPY AT ALL

For the price, it is a decent value. the sound is fair. The buttons are kinda cheap. I have seen better made cassette players for the same money.

For the office it is fine. i still have alot of cassettes i like and it suits me fine for at work.

This is a good radio that plays cassette tapes, so I love it as it's light to carry around and use alot. Doesn't have the quality sound a big system would have, but very good for what I use it for. Would recommend.

As of 6/11/08 am on my sixth one of these gems, three of which had to be returned to the Alco store where they were purchased. One would not work on house current. Another buzzed heavily on a.c., giving off an odor of melting plastic. The one exchanged 6/11? The cassette portion went dead-wouldnt rewind, play or record. When these work, the quality is okay, and it is hard to buy a unit like this without an obtrusive cd player. Ipad Stand - ipad accessory, ipad

This is an excellent iPad stand. It holds the iPad securely, yet allows you to easily flip orientation when necessary. The stand itself is compact, well made, and quite sturdy.

I also have an Apple BlueTooth keyboard, and the whole ensemble (iPad, keyboard, and Flip Blade) makes a great desktop system.

The only downside is that it only holds the iPad upright like a desktop picture frame, and not angled down like a keyboard (as you see the iPads displayed in the Apple Store). That can make using the on screen keyboard difficult. But, that's why I have the BlueTooth keyboard. Belkin F5L080tt Flip Blade for Apple iPad

This is a perfect accessory for the iPad!!! It's very sturdy and the best part is it's portable! Very easy to slip into your travel bag and take with you for hands free use of your iPad while on the train or airplane for example! It allows you to use/view your iPad in either portrait or landscape mode!

The FlipBlade is a pretty simple, sturdy, small device to hold the iPad for reading. I tried it both with and without the Apple iPad case and it worked either way. It leaves no mark on either the iPad or the case. I even tried it with my iPhone and it also worked well. I find it in use much of the day and am looking forward to taking it on trips. It should be just the thing for watching movies on the plane on the tray without having it fall every time the guy in front moves.

The FlipBlade is only a stand and does not charge. If you use it any of the three ways that do not cover the connection port, you can still have it charging while in use. Only if upside down and in portrait view does it block the headphone port.

If all you want is a simple, straightforward, portable stand to hold an iPad, this seems to be about all one would need.

This is a nice little stand that will hold up the iPad in both portrait and landscape orientations. It's light enough to travel with and heavy enough to keep the iPad secure on a table. I keep my iPad in the Apple iPad Case and it fits on this stand with that case. I didn't want to keep my iPad in a bulky case, I can use this stand when I need it or keep it packed away when I don't.

I purchased this item for my ipad2 based on reviews that it was the sturdiest. It is a little heavy but it does the job. the extra weight allows me to type and press the home button without worrying about my ipad falling down. Overall I am very happy with the product!

It's a great little product. It holds the iPad well and for the most part, is sturdy.

Because of it's compact size, when you touch the top or top far edges, it is a little wobbly. For someone who needs to do a lot of tapping with it, I'd recommend a bigger stand.

This has to be the best stand on the market. The fact that it has the soft rubber that keeps the iPad in place, and no need to worry about it scratching the iPad.

This is the perfect portable iPad stand. I use it to stand my iPad up while I am typing with a bluetooth keyboard. Unlike some other portable stands, this one doesn't fall over when you press the home button which is a huge advantage. I highly recommend it.

The picture can not describe how nice this product is. After about 2 minutes of use, I have to say this is an amazing stand. It is sturdy, VERY sturdy. It has a rubber no-slide bottom and doesn't slide around when using your iPad. Even when pressing the iPad's "Home" button, your iPad will stay extremely still and in place. I had tried slightly pushing on the top corners of my iPad (when in the stand) and the iPad doesn't move around, tip over...NOTHING. It fits very secure in the stand. You WILL BE HAPPY with this product. Oh yeah, and it's small and light weight...great for traveling. With your iPad in this stand, just connect the Apple wireless keyboard and it is an amazing business tool at meetings.

I'd originally planned on this being my on-the-go iPad stand, but it's taken over as my everyday iPad stand as well. It's both lightweight and sturdy- I can type and poke at my iPad in either landscape or portrait orientation without worrying about it falling over.

My one minor nitpick is that the you can't recharge your iPad if it is in sitting in "power button at top" orientation. Not a big deal, any of the other three orientations give you access to the iPad connection port.

Ear Protection - hearing protection, earplugs

Short of full sized ear protection for indoor ranges, this is probably the best hearing protection I've used. I was issued these exact ear plugs in the military for use as an Infantryman in Iraq, so I can tell you first hand that these work very well in combat situations. The option to choose between full hearing protection and partial means you will be able to carry out conversations and hear things more effectively while still protecting your hearing. They fit snugly into my ears and don't require adjusting once I've put them in, which is more than I can say about other ear plugs. I also find they have an advantage over the full sized hearing protection often used at the range because that usually interferes with my eye protection in a way these do not. Half the time, the eye protection pops those ear muffs off my ears just enough to expose me to the full sound of my weapon. These ear plugs are a great alternative to that problem. Highly recommended for outdoor use, acceptable for indoors as well. Again, as a former Infantryman who has frequently been in REAL combat with these ear plugs, I highly recommend them. I've been through a few sets of these earplugs and haven't been satisfied. The sound reduction is fairly good but the two ends (green & yellow) of each earplug are joined together by a small plastic piece, so there are 3 pieces total per plug (yellow, green, joiner piece - see photo). After approximately 20 uses, the plug ends separate from the plastic "joiner", quite often when you are slowly removing the plug from your ear. This is a royal pain because it leaves one of the plug ends deep within the ear canal and the small joiner piece about midway in the canal - the plug half is then impossible to remove with your fingers so I've been forced to use tweezers on numerous occasions. I've even tried to mate the joiner with an adhesive (SuperGlue brushed on) after the product has failed and it still can't hold the plastics together for any extended period of time. To me, it seems simply to be a chemistry/bonding problem with the materials - the materials used for the 3 pieces of one earplug just don't last as adhesives and constantly fail after only a short period of use. Largely disappointed and frustrated with this item - especially after numerous occasions at the firing range where one end of the earplug has to remain in my ear canal until I can either locate a pair of needle-nose pliers or get home to carefully remove the lodged end with tweezers (ANNOYING). I wouldn't waste the money on these until they redesign the bonding of the plastics to ensure the middle joiner piece more firmly mates the yellow and green ends.

These are really nice and they are way less bulky than many of the other forms of hearing protection out there and I think they work as well or better than the disposable foam ear plugs. They also have the nice feature that the yellow side is for when you are doing things that involve burst noises (like gunfire) while the gray is for consistent ambient noise (heavy machinery, etc).

Now for the caveat: If you are going to a shooting range which has panels between each of the shooters and/or you will be outdoors these are absolutely great and I'm hard-pressed to say you'd really need anything more. For most people this will be most of the time. At my particular gun club we have some indoor shooting events where the range does not have partitions between shooters. Essentially when you're indoors, you have shooters on either side of you, and you're all shooting at roughly the same time these start to feel a little like they are lacking.

I've used two different types of passive earplugs, these & the Surefire Sonic Defenders. Both have pro's & cons. If I could only have one, this would be the one.

I will review these in comparison to the Surefires.

Comfort: Surefire is more comfortable in the ear, but the Peltors can be worn easily for hours on end.

Noise Reduction: The Peltors work better, but also reduce more of normal sounds (voices, people moving, etc). If the "normal" sounds are very important, pick the Surefires. As a result, the Peltors also work better in louder conditions.

Real world usage:

Shooting outdoors, the Surefires with stopper out is adequate for 22LR, 9mm, 40 S&W, etc (smaller caliber). Even with the stopper in, I found 223 a little too loud for my comfort. Using the Peltor outdoors, I found all comfortable -- including 223. Standing next to a 30-06 & 308 to spot, is loud but manageable. If I was the shooter, I'd prefer to place olive side in.

All in all, these Peltors have now become my shooting earplugs of choice. For sleeping, I still prefer to use my Surefires so that I can block street & fan sounds, while still easily being able to hear things that go bump in the night -- while still leaving me ready to go hot if needed. Mens Sport Watches - timex sport watch, cheap watch

I really like this watch, I got it for working out and jogging. I think it has a nice pleasant look to it, unlike many digital watches, and it is very comfortable to wear. Watch is very lightweight and the band looks very handsome. Has everything you really need, two time zones, timer, stopwatch, daily alarm, indiglo. I use the stopwatch to time how long my tea brews, and the timer to keep myself from burning things in the oven. The alarm has no snooze, so I wouldn't rely on that to wake you up, but perhaps you could use the alarm as a reminder to do something. For 15 bucks, this watch is a great buy. I purchased this watch to replace my old Timex 1440 Sports Digital. It is a great watch if you spend a lot of time in the pool or at the beach. Setting the watch can be tricky, so best to save the instructions. Would purchase this watch again if anything happened to my current one.

When I was a child, I remember John Cameron Swayze advertising Timex watches, ending with the line, "Takes a licking, keeps on ticking." I needed a watch that was digital. sitable for use outdoors, and able to be read at night. I chose the Timex because it had all of these features, plus showed day, date, could time events, had an alarm, and showed either 24 hour day or a.m./p.m. readings. I am totally pleasaed with the Timex. It is very easy to learn how to change the settings, enter the time, and is very easy to read. I needed a replacement for an older digital watch that I purchased on a cruise. The Timex surpassed all my expectations, and cost less that $20.00, which was the price back in 1976. A better product for a lower price.

[UPDATE insert on January 22, 2011: Still my everyday watch, but the crystal is badly scratched at this point, only 4 months after purchase--still readable and useable, but just doesn't look all that great. Otherwise the watch is working fine, and I do use it every day. I'd still rate it 4 stars, especially at this price, but I do wish they'd upgrade the crystal to a harder, more scratch-resistant material, and I'd be happy to pay a few bucks more for same. Original review follows this] After researching watches on Amazon, I settled on this for my everyday watch--first time I'd bought a watch by mail, because I usually figure it's best to see it in person for size of dial, clarity of numbers, thickness on wrist, etc. Amazon's way of detailing it and giving the watch's dimensions with a visible grid helped tip me toward feeling OK with buying sight unseen. Turns out on opening the box I felt like I had already seen it in person (just from Amazon's page pictures and details), so that was a pleasant surprise. I've had it about a month now, and overall, love it. VERY clear read-out of date, hours, minutes and seconds, and the stopwatch (my most-often used function other than time and date) very easy to use and read in quick glances during a workout or walk. Unfortunately it is losing a few seconds a month, so I've had to re-set the time already (I need perfect time for my job), and the crystal and surrounding silver (plastic?) ornamentation has already been dinged up a bit--scratches on the crystal and small gouges and scratches on the silver ornamentation surrounding the crystal (and I would say my usage is normal overall, that I'm not normally in situations that would mean more damage than usual for a watch). It still looks great, though, especially from a distance, and the watchband is one of the best I've ever had--easy to put on with one hand and tighten, plus the loop that ties down the strap has a nice notch that meshes with the strap itself--nice look, and function. Overall, very happy with this bargain--at $15.00 total worth every penny.

I needed an inexpensive watch that displayed large numbers as well as the date. This was IT!! I am at the age where I need reading glasses. I can read the time and date on this watch without reading glasses. Also, very comfortable band. I was using a metal band watch which sometimes pinched my skin and was a bit heavy. The size is right as well. I don't like really large watch dials. The best part - the price. A disposable watch which I can replace every 2 years for $15. I could never understand people shelling out money for a Rolex just to tell time. I suppose it's all about priorities.

This is a great watch. It does everything the description says it does. It looks and feels well made. It's a decent size, fairly large, but not huge. I've had it in the pool several times and have had zero problems.

I bought this watch primarily to use as a nurse, but I have also found it useful for my workouts. I love the display and how easy it is to use. I got the watch within 1 week even though it stated it would take 6-8 weeks, and I havent taken it off since. It was easy to program the times and even set the alarm. The display is probably my favorite feature of the watch. However, I was not looking for any complex features, and this was perfect for me. I love it. Like I said I also wear it for exercise purposes and it has withstood the test of the elements. Rain, wind, whatever I am running it - it holds up. I love this watch.

My life is very unusual and it is hard to schedule my day and night life. So I was looking for a cheap watch to help me with my low fat diet and I eat every 3 hours. If I miss the 3 hour mark, then I become ravenous and will ruin my diet. My cell phone battery randomly loses its charge and I could not rely on it to remind me when to eat. Hence, I needed a cheap 3 hour countdown timer and this watch fit the description.

I would have given 5 stars except the alarm is so faint that I don't notice it if the radio/TV is too loud or I am talking on the phone. Also the crystal has a tendency to catch many reflections and has been scratched twice in 3 days. Other than those pitfalls, it is a great looking watch that does what I need, remind me EXACTLY when I need to eat to maximize my really slow metabolism.

I have had for 3 days and recommend considering all the extra features that it comes with: Dual time zones, 24hr stopwatch, 24hr countdown timer, daily alarm, 50m water resistance, backlight, comfortable strap and a pleasant sporty look all for $15. - Digital Watch - Timex Sport Watch - Sport Watch - Cheap Watch'
