This is my favorite screen protector for my Incredible. I've tried SGP, Anti-fingerprint, Boxwave, and Verizon. To me this is the closest to the natural feel of the screen itself. I put it on in the bathroom first running the shower for a few minutes to steam it up and then cleaned my DInc with a eyeglass cleaning cloth, microfiber and finally running a piece of tape across the screen to pick up any remaining little pieces of lint. The very first time I put it on I misaligned it big time but it was easy enough to try again. Having 3 cats, lint travels with me wherever I go! When I did get it alinged there was to much lint for me to individually pick out but Seidio's are washable so I rinsed it off with a little soap and water, shook it off and started again. This time the alignment was correct and the few bubbles came right out by smoothing with the included card. There is a cut out for the optical joystick and speaker which I know is hard to see in the photos. These are usually backordered here but I only had to wait a few days before I got an email saying it was on it's way! Seidio Ultimate Screen Protectors have kept my screen free of scrapes and scratches from being kept in my purse, and I would recommend them to anyone. This screen protector makes the Incredible seem brand new again. It is cut precisely for the screen and joystick. I didn't get it aligned correctly the first time but I used the trick suggested in the instructions to use a piece of tape to lift it again. This prevented any lint or fingerprints on the back and I was able to get it on correctly. I like that it doesn't require any liquid to adhere; electronics and water don't mix! I like the smooth feel and clear look of the protector, as many others out there are cloudy and/or rough.

When I was shopping for a screen protector for my new Incredible, I didn't like how all the rest seemed to require an engineering degree to be able to apply them. This screen protector was a piece of cake to put on! I followed the instructions and got it perfectly aligned on the first try. I used the card to squeeze out the bubbles, and voila!

There was one tiny bubble between the optical joystick and the bottom edge, which I could not get out, because of the bad location, but it's so tiny, it's only noticeable to me.

The protector feels just like the screen did before I applied it, and does not change the responsiveness or look of the screen at all. Even though this protector was more expensive than some of the other available ones, the ease of application and high quality make it worth it.

Very good screen protector for the HTC Incredible. A little bit tricky to put on unless you follow the instructions (start from the bottom near the button, not from the top near the speaker). Added bonus is the little round bit that is left over from where the hole for the button is can be used to protect the camera lens as well.

I am a gadget nerd and am almost OCD about scratches on my electronics. I try to keep all my equipment in pristine condition to protect their resale value, functionality, and aesthetic quality. I ordered several kinds of screen protectors to try, and essentially hate them all.



I tried the ZAGG invisible shield, and not only was it a hassle to put on (and I am relatively good at applying Zagg skins because I've used them several times in the past, and applied several to this specific phone as well). The liquid solution is a hassle to use without getting it in the cracks/openings of the device, it is hard to keep your fingers wet to avoid fingerprints on the adhesive side of the skin, bubbles and dust are impossible to avoid, and even when I had gotten rid of all bubbles/dust, the skin later develops the 'orange peel' effect, where the skin is bubbly and dimply like the skin of an orange. It impairs clarity of the screen and is an overall pain. It also accumulates tons of smear marks from your fingers swiping the touch screen. However, it is impossible to scratch.



That is in stark contrast to the Seidio Screen Protector. Although application is somewhat more straight forward, it is a dust/lint MAGNET, and fingerprints are permanent. Dust can be removed with a piece of tape, but while you're removing one dust particle, ten others will float over and stick to other parts of the skin. If you do somehow manage to lay down the skin without dust and align it corectly, you only have about a days worth of use before scratches start to accumulate. It is somewhat resistant to smaller scratches, but if you put your phone in a purse, backpack, basically anything other than a velvet plush case, expect it to have some deep gouges before too long. It also never completely adheres around the top speaker and the optical track ball. There are bubbles around those areas where it reffused to stick, and I returned 2 packs of screen protectors for this reason. None of them stuck around these areas and eventually I gave up.



In the end, its the lesser of several evils. I haven't found a screen protector that I am happy with yet, but this one seems to be doing the job of keeping my real screen from being demolished. However, I would probably prefer the Zagg invisible shield if I could do everything over again, simply because you can't scratch it and they guarantee their product. However, its $20 where as the Seidio 2 pack was like $14 or something? It's pretty arbitrary...they are all frustrating.

I bought two of this products, one left sided and the other right sided. In general I am very happy with both of them. One of them, the right side one, has better recognition. I have 7 persons using them and they are working fine. In the right sided one, some times you get 1 or 2 misses but 70% of the time you get in on the first try. On the left sided one I have to try 2 or 3 times on 70% of the times. I don't know why this difference. Even so, this is far better than giving keys to 7 persons for 2 doors with the added cost of changing the lock if one quits or looses its key. iTouchless Bio-Matic Fingerprint Door Lock For Left Hand Door, Silver

The iTouchless Bio-Matic Fingerprint Door Lock works great. It makes getting in the house with an armload of stuff alot easier. I can also allow others to get in temporary without having to get a key back from them, I just take their fingerprint out when I don't want them to have access anymore.

I have bought 3 of these, 1 silver and 2 brass colored. My doors had old locks and I had to modify the holes. Two of the locks functioned adequately but one would not set. Amazon sent return and replacement information. The replacement functioned correctly and Amazon sent email when the defective unit was received by them for credit. Finger print recording was not always adequate for 100% unlocking as it appears that position, pressure and patience is required. Temperature appears to be a factor in recognition as is the condition of a persons finger. The use of a user code (8 digits) always works and is a good backup. The locks l;ook great and the handle rather that a knob is really great. The other advantage is the closed lid for outside use. It might be sueful to allow a 4 or six digit code, especially if you are out in the rain trying to open the lock. Overall, a good quality product for the money. Well built and rugged. Actually, I think it is a fun product.

I hate this thing and the bad thing is you can't return it once you open the box. It would be great if I didn't have to go and buy a different door for it. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 INCHES BETWEEN THE 2 HOLES ON THE DOOR OR THIS WILL NOT WORK. SHAME ON AMAZON FOR NOT SPECIFYING. Amazon gets a CF for COMPLETE FAILURE.

Installation is a little difficult, but when you finish is really elegant, in my home we put it on the studio door and was very good. Easy to use, I recommend using rechargeable batteries to avoid having to change them frequently.

So i was a little skeptical when purchasing this product, but i am relieved to see that it functions like it says it does. I have this on my Server room door inside my office. It was easy to install, and we dont have to worry about the locksmith coming out anymor for our door to change the combination. We can do it our selfs which saves tons of money. And it is sturdy, i thought it would be flimsy or light, but it is pretty solid.

This is a great door lock! I'm using it on a condo door, so no worry about the elements, but it was easy to install and is quite reliable. My only slight complication was that I had to drill out the hole for the latch (the hole in the edge of the door) to be slightly bigger to accommodate this lockset. Otherwise, the only tool required was a screwdriver.



Note that the numeric entry codes are limited to the digits 0, 1, 2, and 3, and must be 8 digits long, meaning there's only 65,536 numbers, and they take a little longer to enter than if you had an actual full 0-9 keypad. But you're likely just going to use the fingerprint reader instead anyway.



Also, you can set it in a mode where lifting the cover engages the lock with no entry required. This is nice if you're having a party or expect a lot of people -- but they'll have to know to slide the cover up. You can't just set it so the door handle works by itself.



Finally, the instructions make no mention of a low-battery alarm -- I hope there IS one, but not sure I'd recognize it for what it is when it happens.

Pros: the structure is strong, sturdy and has gaskets to be used for outdoors to protect from water and dust. I havent hooked it up yet cause my house is still under construction but i will try soon and let you know

I tried, and I tried, but this lock simply does not recognize finger prints. I would say it opened 1 out of 50 times. I had high hopes for it but it failed the test - it simply would not open. Before deciding on this model of headphones, I had debated between the Creative Fatality's, Sennheiser 350's, and Audio Technica ATH-AD700's. I almost went with the AD700's but wanted a headset with an integrated mic, I wouldn't feel bad about loosing or throwing into a bag for travel, sounded decent, and didn't cost an arm and a leg (ruling out the Sennheiser's, as well). It was a difficult debate, to be sure. As you can guess, in the end, I went with the Gamecom's. Having now owned them for about a week, I now wish to offer my review.



OVERALL QUALITY



Overall quality of this headset is very good. As others have noted, the majority of the headset consists of a sturdy, durable plastic that feels as though it will last for years. The ear pads are covered in a black velour that, while very soft and comfortable, will attract dust and hair very easily. Also, I don't know if any of the pads are replaceable. If not, they should be.



The mic folding up into the headset is a very nice touch. However, it does rub up against the headphone itself so that it never stays tucked in all the way. Further, when rotating the mic down to mouth level, it tends to scrape along the raised edge of the headphone. This will eventually begin to show signs of wear.



The cable is a very nice, thick gauge. The volume dial feels very solid and is constructed of the same plastic as the headset itself. It is a few inches further from the headset than I prefer, but that is easily solved with the on-cable clip. The y-split at the end of the cable is set with a rubber cover and the cables after the split are pretty short, thus limiting its functionality. This could be a problem for some.



Finally, the extension pieces (the part that the headphones slides on, at the top) are much thinner and flimsier than the plastic used elsewhere on the headset. I could see this easily breaking in the not too distant future, unfortunately.



COMFORT



As headsets go, these are among the most comfortable I've used. As I said, the plush velour pads on the ears and band are very soft. They will keep your ears quite warm, unfortunately. I had read reviews stating that the headset gave people headaches from the pressure. On the contrary, I found them to be about average in the amount of pressure they exert, and I have a larger than average head size. Also, I absolutely love how the ear cups themselves pivot allowing the headset to better adjust to the contours of your noggin.



SOUND QUALITY



On its own, this headset is OK when it comes to sound quality, not great but not terrible. Highs are decent (a tad trimmed, actually), mids are decent, and lows are generally heard but not felt. I would describe the sound as airy and subdued as if there's unrealized potential. (I feel it fair to mention that this headset should be burned/broken in for at least three hours but preferably longer. The sound signature changes dramatically within that time.) The soundstage (how well you can tell where individual sounds are coming from), on the other hand, is absolutely phenomenal. For the twenty-five dollars you pay, I can't think of another headset with this good of a soundstage. This makes them an excellent recommendation for gaming, obviously. For general listening (movies and music), this headset is generally good. I would say it's above average for it's class/price range.



When amped and equalized, however, this headset comes to life. Hooking the Gamecom's up through my cmoybb headphone amp (with bass boost on, of course) and tweaking the equalizer in iTunes dramatically changes how these headphones act. Highs are amazing, mids are great, and lows are heard AND felt (seriously, this headset goes surprisingly low). For the price-point, the sound quality, when amped, is amazing.



The only other point I would like to mention here before concluding is that the headphones, despite being labeled as "closed-ear," will NOT block out external noise. Keep this in mind when considering these headphones.



CONCLUSION



I would HIGHLY recommend this headset to any budget conscious gamer looking for a very reasonably priced headset that offers good sound quality, comfort, and durability. On the same token, I would very strongly suggest that you purchase a good headphone amp to accompany this headset, in order to realize their full potential. It will make a night and day difference.

This kit includes the following:

1) A hard case for the DS. The case seems to be good quality, but the DS fits snugly, so there's no room for storing anything else.

2) A lanyard for the DS.

3) Screen protectors. It comes with two sticky screen protectors for the top screen, and two protectors for the bottom screen. The sticky protectors are ok, since they only have glue on the perimeter, so it won't stick directly to the screen. The bottom protector is just a piece of plastic that you put on the screen, so it may fall.

4) Base: you connect the original charger to this base, and put the DS upside down for charging. Whenever the base is connected to electric power, two very bright leds shine, so it's something you don't want to leave connected when you are not using it. The base seems sturdy enough.

5) Car charger: I haven't used it, but seems like any other cell phone charger sold for cheap in stores.

6) Screen cleaners: not very useful, since the shape make them difficult to hold, so when you try to use them your fingers will touch the screen. 3 included.

7) Game protective case: the package includes 3 cases, but just one came with a molded pad for storing a card. The other two cases are nothing more that small plastic boxes, so cards will be loose inside them.

8) A stylus, the body is metallic.

9) Earphones: the cheapest earphones they could find. I don't know what they mean for "high quality earphones", because the sound that they deliver make your DS sound like the original NES back from the 80's... I won't use them.

10) Carrying bag: just a fabric bag for keeping all the stuff. The fabric is not very good so I guess it won't last long.

New Zealand - power plug adapter, travel gear

I bought a couple of these adaptors for a recent trip to China and couldn't be happier.



Features:



1. Converts almost any power plug to the Type I plug common in China and Australia. [I believe the only exception is the Type M used in South Africa and a few other exotic locations].



2. Accepts grounded (three prong) and non-grounded (two-prong) plugs.



3. The Type I "male" side of the plug includes the ground connection.



4. Solid construction--very well built.



Some notes if you travel 'abroad':



1. These adaptors will only bridge the physical connection between your power cable and the wall outlet. They do not perform voltage conversion. Before using, make sure that whatever you are plugging in will accommodate the local voltage. The US is 120 Volts @ 60 Hz --most of the world is 220-240 Volts @ 50 Hz.



2. Some applicances will require a voltage transformer--which is another product altogether (usually higher wattage devices like hair blowers and soldering irons--but your mileage may vary). Always check the limitations of your devices--the requirements (voltage and frequency) are generally labeled adjacent to the power cord or plug. This is true for laptops, cell phone chargers, electric razors, etc.



3. Always use the 3-prong (grounded connectors). They are safer than the two-prong types and tend to be much better built. I have had the two-prong adaptors disintegrate on me -- leaving the disembodied, bare metal blades stuck in the outlet. Yikes! That's why I love this adapter--very well built.

We couldn't be happier with this simple product. Worked perfectly with no problems on our US electronics while we were in Australia. The image is exactly what you get and the alignment of the plug inputs is perfect. The shipping was fast via USPS and included a receipt. We saw similar adapters with fewer plug options available for $15+ AU making this a great value and definitely worth buying in advance. If you are traveling from the US you will find one of these gizmos mandatory if you want to charge your camera or computer.

This adapter plug has performed flawlessly. I have standard North American plugs, and this adapts them--and others nationalities' plugs--to New Zealand style plugs. The devices I am using (computer, Camera battery charger) are set up to use the 240V current over here, so a 240 to 120V converter is not necessary.



The quality and workmanship of the unit, although not fancy, is top notch and solid. Don't let the low price fool you; this unit is "the bee's knees", as they say.



WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

My daughters just returned on a trip to Argentina. The converter worked perfectly at every hotel they stayed. They journeyed all over the country and found no difficulties at any time. Great to recharge batteries and electronic devices!

I bought one of these plug adapters plus several cheaper two-prong adapters for New Zealand. This is the only adapter that would make my Nikon Coolpix battery charger work. It is a bit bulky, but it stayed in the wall sockets really well.

If you are traveling down-under (Australia or New Zealand) and you are taking 2 or 3 pronged US plugs with you, such as a laptop, or phone charger, you will find that these adapters work perfectly. These are just ADAPTERS, not voltage converters, so if your electric device only works with 110 volts, you will need a converter to convert the Aussie 230 volts down to 110 volts (US)

As long as your devices can run on 120/220 (and most gadgets can these days, thank gawd), you're good to go.

Put these on and turn on your shop vac and you will be amazed how much noise reduction these earmuffs provides. In addition, the ear pieces are very soft and extremely comfortable. Wear them to be near any machinery or mowing your lawn and your ears will thank you.

Peltor Earmuffs # H10A



I own several brands of earmuff hearing protectors, since I use so many loud tools. The Peltor's are the best in every category, which is why I own several. The soft ear pieces are the most comfortable, they are light, they are high quality, they block almost all sound, and they are adjustable for head size. Wearing glasses is not an issue with these, as they contour themselves over the temples.



I wear them when breaking a pool rack (e.g., eight ball), because with wooden floors, that's really LOUD. I use them in the yard when running lawn equipment and put them on every time I use a loud shop tool such as a table saw. The real test is using a palm nailer in a confined space, which is a so loud, that your hearing could be damaged without protection.



Unquestionably a 5-star product!

The Peltor H10A Hearing Protector ear muffs really do the job! I ordered them to help eliminate the annoying whine of my computer tower. You know the kind of sound...very slight, but so high-pitched it goes straight to your ear drums and drills a hole till you can't STAND it anymore!! Why am I SHOUTING!? Well, you can see how I had to do something to preserve my sanity.



I received the Peltor set and man, oh man, does it eliminate sound!! What pc whine? What pc! This headset completely elimates those little sounds that drive you crazy. I recommend it for those who have noisy neighbors or roommates, barking dogs, drippy faucets, etc. It is amazing. Loud noises can still be heard, so the headset does not interfere with normal life and is not a safety hazard. They are comfortable on the ears, are fairly lightweight, and fit very(!) snugly.



If you can't concentrate due to small, annoying noises, you would probably benefit from using this headset. The price is very reasonable, considering the benefits.

This product significantly reduces the noise reaching my ears.



I wear these earmuffs three to seven hours a day while performing technical work in an industrial area where vacuum cleaners, air hoses, high frequency whines/squeals from electronic equipment, and boom boxes (why these people want to add to the noise level defies comprehension) are common.



It is impossible to carry on a conversation while wearing this product; you cannot hear what anyone is saying unless they shout, and even then, it is difficult to understand them.



I considered noise cancellation headphones, but rejected them because most of the annoying noises in my workspace are percussive, impact-type noises of a non-repeating nature. Noise cancellation headphones work best with steady-state noises.



Although the earmuff is a bit snug (lots of pressure against the side of my head), I am reluctant to spread the earmuffs apart for fear of decreasing the excellent sound deadening ability of the product. In addition, my ears are somewhat large for the available space inside the earmuff. I compensate for these "problems" by making frequent small adjustments in the earmuff's position on my head.



I highly recommend the Peltor H10A earmuff. I own a 17db Peltor product that I use while mowing the lawn, and fully intent to replace them with the 30db version.

I won't reiterate what others have said, but just make a couple pertinent points:



You're likely comparing (and if not, you should) this Peltor headset along with the top=of-the-line Bilsom: the Bilsom Thunder T3 is the best constructed headphone/ear protection I own. A have several by Peltor, and the one most comparable to the T3 is the Peltor H10A. The Peltor is not as well made; the over-head piece on the T3 is much better--it actually clicks into place and does not move. The Peltors are all wire, and move easily. I would say, if many people are going to use same headset (such as different shifts at a worksite), Peltor might be better as it's easily adjusted by just sliding on the wire. The T3 are better at a single set for your head size and it does not move.



The Peltor H10A might actually be a tad more comfortable for my head hat size at 7 3/4. The T3 is tight, and cannot be adjusted out for looseness. I'd rather wear the Peltor H10A for a protracted period of time than the Bilsom T3. If my head were smaller, I think the T3 would be fine.



The Bilsom T3 blocks sound better than any Peltor I have owned (I have owned about three models of Peltors). It's as simple as that.



Both have, because of the larger ear cup size (compared to lower profile, usually less protective for hearing, models) the ability to keep your head straight when dozing on an airplane. You know how people use the cervical neck pillow U-shaped things so they won't kink their neck to one side when they sleep on a plane? Well, you won't need that with a high-profile larger cup size sound protection like these---they stick out from your head enough that you will sleep with head straight ahead regardless. This is a "plus". And no need the lousy "noise cancellation" headsets for six times the price, plus batteries to charge, etc. These are great for air flight.



The Bilsom T3 is slightly wider on each ear cup than the Peltor H10A. Both, however, are not good to wear around your neck when not in use. The ear cups are too large and they will hit your chin. If you plan to wear and remove to "dangle" around your neck, like a rifleman might, you;d better stick with the lower-profile "shooter" type headsets...these are too wide. They will hit your chin, unless you have a super long neck.



The weight of each is about the same. I'd give the nod to the Bilsom for sound protection capability and quality of build (the wire overhead piece on Peltors can get stretched or bent--no chance with Bilsom) over the Peltor high-end models, having owned both. But, with my head size at 7 3/4, and certainly if your noggin is larger than mine, you'd better stick with Peltor. The wire can be bent to accomodate the jumbo cranium better than Bilsom. Thanks. Shotgun Mic - azden, camcorder

I've had the mic for two weeks now and I'm using it w/a Canon HV30 and a NRG 59111 bracket. In quiet shooting situations, the mic will pick up a lot of motor noise if mounted directly to the camera; this is normal. The bracket suspends the mic about 5" above the camera and motor noise pickup is eliminated. The supplied windscreen does a pretty good job. I would prefer if there was a "power on" LED to serve as a reminder to shut the mic off but that would just draw power too. I understand the rationale behind not having one, but want one anyway. The mic cord is NOT detachable as shown in the picture. Maybe newer versions are, but the one I received does not detach. The shockmount is not that great. The upper/lower parts of the mount are connected by hard rubber squares. So, it's not really "shock mounted" but more of a "dampened mounted." Some handling noise/tapping the camera will be picked up by the mic. This is due to the "not really a shockmount" shockmount.



That said, I'm very happy with it. Note: This is not a shotgun mic, so don't expect to pickup conversation-level sound from 30 feet away. This mic is a true stereo mic and outputs two distinct L/R channel. This mic beats the pants off the stock in-camera mics in every way. There is much more clarity as compared to the stock mic. The best way to describe it is that with the stock mics, all the sounds are "mixed together and indistinct." Whereas with the SMX-10 each sound "stands out from all the others." Frequency response is also better with the SMX-10; I find there is a lot more high-end frequency information in recordings made with it vs. stock.



The mic is very light, not too long (doesn't hang over the front of the camera) and the cord is of the coiled variety so it doesn't hang all over the place. It's designed very well. Body is all-aluminum and very solid feeling. Switches are recessed into the body of the mic, so it would be very difficult to accidently slide them one way or the other. There really isn't anything else in it's price range that is better. Another option/very popular video mic is the Rode Stereo Videomic, but it is literally 2x the price and twice the size. I took a chance with the SMX-10 and am very happy with my purchase. Azden High-performance(SMX-10) Stereo Condenser Microphone

This has been a really nice addition to my Canon HV20 camcorder. I like it because it provides far superior sound than the built in mic on the HV20 and it is not too bulky. I can leave it attached to my camcorder and still fit the entire rig in a relatively small camera bag (Tamrac Velocity 7x). I did not rate it a 5 because of the shockmount that it comes with is not the greatest. I substituted the Rode SM3 shockmount, which works much better. I highly recommend this combination. It has added a new dimension to my videos and my rig still remains highly portable.

I bought this mic half-heartedly. It might possibly be complete junk, or might possibly be one of my greatest buys. And sure enough. It was a great buy. This mic is very very good for what I plan to use it for. I, sadly, have yet to test it out on a camcorder, but I have used it plugged into my computer and receive, nothing below, AMAZING sound quality from this mic. It has a very wide area pick up also, which I was very surprised with for its price. I am not sure about how it reacts to picking up DV Tape sound or that stuff, because I use it on a boom pole. This is a great item and well worth it if your on a budget for filming or voice over. The VO is pretty awsome with this thing. There is no noticeable white noise and the actually QUALITY of the recordings are just clear and normal. There is nothing that makes it sound like it couldn't be from a professional studio. Made my day. Great buy for the price!

This mic was purchased to be used in a classroom environment with teenage kids, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. The mic seems well constructed and sturdy. The sound recorded with it is ok. It is better than the sound off the camera mic, and doesn't pick up near as much motor noise and handling noise as the camera mic did. The one negative to the mic is the lack of a power indicator. I think a simple LED would remind people to turn the mic off after use. Other than that, this is a decent mic, and good bang for the buck.

Seeking to produce something other than the usual crushingly boring home movies, I was looking for a good external stereo shotgun microphone for my small Digital Video Camera and my digital stereo sound recorder. Priced under $100, the SMX-10 was the most affordable serious stereo shotgun microphone I could find. It has the advantage if being intended for small video cameras, mounting on the camera and using the small external mike plug. Power is from a regular AA battery, nothing exotic. It is small enough to fit in my camera bag. In addition to using it on the camera I have used it with the recorder to collect sound environments, rain, thunder, a brook, wind chimes, night insects... To my untrained ears, the recordings are indistinguishable from the real thing.



With the included wind screen, this microphone is a vast improvement over the camera's internal microphone, however it inhibits, but my no means, eliminates that pesky wind noise. I can not tell any difference in the sound quality if the microphone battery power is on or off.
