i just received this product in the mail and the first thing i noticed was that they did not give me the color i ordered but after sending them an email they sent me the correct color for free and let me keep the old one as a gift. The seller does try to trick you into thinking that this is the real apple case with legit apple packaging but if you look into it with more detail all the legit packaging list black bumper. This bumper is in fact FAKE but for the money and quality you get, it comes close and you cannot complain. Like the other reviews point out, this is NOT an Apple product - it is a knock off. However, the product itself is of excellent quality. It fits my phone perfectly, looks exactly like the real product, and of course, is a fraction of the price. As long as you know what you are buying, get this product.

I have had my iphone 4 since it came out and was always skeptical of the bumpers but after purchasing one i love it. It protects the phone when dropped but does not add a lot of extra bulk which is nice. Would def recommend people try the bumbers.

I got this item in the mail and it wasn't what I had ordered. Not only that, but the White Bumper that I did get wasn't the Apple one as advertised in the pictures. It was a decent Fake, but the biggest problem I had with this white Bumper was that there was way too much rubber vs plastic. There were parts where the rubber would overtake the plastic on the sides, it wasn't all white, there were several black and brown smudges and specks on the product. I haven't heard back from them yet, but hopefully I will soon. For the moment being, I wouldn't recommend purchasing from this company. It'll be a hit or miss, I ordered the Black Bumper and it was in amazing condition. So it really just depends on if you get a good fake or a bad one... Plantronics Voyager 520 - headset, bluetooth

Hello People. Here is an honest review for those who are looking for a good headset. I purchased the Voyager 510 over two years ago to go with my Katana phone. The problem I was having with the 510 was that the signal would drop a lot, so much that I called Plantronic and they told me that the Katana was not compatible with the 510. However, they're customer service was excellent. They told me that cell phones control headset, headsets don't control phones. Cell phones send out signals and headsets pick up the signal. But to make sure I didn't have a defected headset, they sent me a new 510 hoping that will solve the problem. However it didn't. So I was convinced that it was the headset, not my Katana.



My wife and I decided to upgrade our phones, so I purchased the Samsung Instinct and I wanted a Bluetooth headset that would work with my new phone, since I was convinced that the 510 was not a good headset. So I purchased the Plantronic Discovery 925. I really was excited when I received the 925.

However, here are my Pros and Cons of the 925:

Pros:

1. It looked great and its small size was great compared to my 510.

2. The recharging case was a neat feature.

3. One button controlled everything.

Cons:

1. It was the most uncomfortable headset I ever wore; so much that it hurt my ear.

2. The sound was not very loud compared to my 510.

3. The recharging case was very difficult to place the headset in.



Summary: I returned the 925. It just caused too much pain to my ear. In the meantime I continued to use my 510, which I notice was working pretty well, no drop calls with my new Instinct. Still not too sure about the 510, I purchased the Jawbone. Once again, I was really excited when I received the Jawbone.

However, here are my Pros and Cons of the Jawbone:

Pros:

1. It looked great and its small size was great compared to my 510.

Cons:

1. It wasn't comfortable to wear.

2. The sound wasn't very loud.

3. The buttons are hard to find and the fit was very hard to achieve.



Summary: I read several reviews and a lot of people recommended getting Jabra mini eargels and it would fit perfect. So I order the eargels. However, I said to myself, "why should I pay an extra $10 to get a headset to work correctly. I already spent $90 on the headset. The eargels should have come with the headset." So after I gave it some though, I returned the Jawbone. I wasn't impressed with the Jawbone at all. My 510 worked better than the Jawbone. At this point, I started to believe that it wasn't my 510 at all; it was the Katana, just like Plantronic customer service said, because my 510 is working great. However, since my 510 is over 2 years old, I'll try one last headset and use the 510 as a backup headset. So I purchased the Voyager 520, which was supposed to be an upgrade to the 510.

However, here are my Pros and Cons of the 520:

Pro:

1. The 520 is the most comfortable headset I ever wore.

2. One button controls everything

Cons:

1. You must keep the headset close to the phone. It says you can go 33 feet away from your phone using this headset, but that's not true. It's more like 9 feet and I'm being generous with the 9 feet. With my 510, I can go a long distance and the signal is still strong.

2. Not very loud compared to my 510.

3. There is a lot of static compare to my 510.



Summary: Needless to say, I was very disappointed with the 520 and returned it.



Conclusion: I must say out of all these headsets, my Plantronic Voyager 510 worked best and out performed all of these for my needs. I'm not saying the rest of these headset are not good headsets. However, for my needs, none of these headset are better than my 510. The 510 has to be one of the best headsets ever made and I would recommend it to anyone. Just make sure your phone is compatible with it. And yes, the 925, Jawbone and 520 all are compatible with my phone, but the 510 still out perform them all. I've spent a lot of time and some money looking for a suitable speaker set for my Ipod Touch. I like to view movies while laying in bed and this is perfect. No power cords to get in the way, sound is good for my purposes. There is a little ledge to rest the Ipod on, and it allows me to view in landscape mode. All the docking speakers force me to remove the case and most of them force portrait mode position. This is perfect as I don't want to struggle with the case or viewing position. It's a great value for my uses.



Pros:

Landscape mode viewing

No power cord so very portable



Cons:

I purchased this tonight and cannot believe the sound clarity that this lil' thing has. I am very pleased with the sound however cannot give this a 5-star rating because the cord has a strange setup. Instead of being hidden the cord must wrap around the side to plug into the ipod. I have a 3rd gen nano (lil' square one) and the jack is on the bottom making it sit off-center. Also props the ipod a little off the back plate. If this didn't sound as good as it does I would take it back. For this price its definitely a keeper!

Wow...this thing is great. Yes, it runs on batteries. And no, it doesn't charge your ipod. But it costs $18 and it's portable! All you need is 4 AA batteries and you can take your music anywhere! It's great if you are having a BBQ, hanging out on the boat, or just want to move it from room to room to enjoy your ipod! I loved it so much, I ordered a second one just to have for when I do stuff outside. It's little, it's loud, it's a great setup. Totally worth the money!

I wanted a small, battery-powered speaker system to be able to listen to my Sandisk Sansa View while at work. The only issue is a work in a distribution center with very loud, continuous noise; conveyor belts, machine horns, loud bangs of large plastic totes being thrown about, etc. With the environment, I also wanted something that, should it get broken, I wouldn't be out $50 or so, which seems to be the average price for speaker systems for devices other than iPod.



This works by plugging into your device's headphone jack. There is a notch in the center where you're supposed to stand it up like it is pictured above, only they didn't account for the cord, so it makes your player sit somewhat off-kilter, unless you just lay it on its side (which I've taken to doing). This could have been fixed with a groove that ran along the back of the tray, but that's really the only major complaint I have.



This thing is -loud-. It only works by your player's volume, but it's got a lot of power to it for being battery-powered. At max volume, I can hear it even above all the noise I specified above (though, I'll admit, listening to anything purely instrumental or quiet/soothing is impossible in that environment), though for the normal user, half-volume or lower would probably be easily sufficient.



As for how fast it goes through batteries, I've had to change mine after approximately 24-26 hours of play at the maximum volume. Once the batteries start to go, the sound gets incredibly crackly at the high volumes and gets worse fairly quickly. Though I have noticed that the crackle goes away (at least temporarily) when the volume is turned down, which leads me to believe the batteries have the potential to last even longer when not played on full-blast continuously.



All in all, very pleased with my purchase. If you want a cheap, small, battery-powered speaker that works with any audio device, this is it.

I bought this yesterday after looking long and hard at this and a few other portable speakers for my iPod Nano 3rd gen. I wasn't entirely sure it could produce the kind of sound I needed, and was almost certain I would end up taking it back.



Boy, was I wrong!



The moment I plugged my iPod into this speaker I was amazingly surprised at the wonderful sound quality this little unit produced, and the kind of volume it could crank out. I can even play my collection of Trance music and be able to hear the bass clearly!



Another reviewer commented on the strange cord setup which was a bit inconvenient for the iPod Nano - yes, it is a little odd, but personally I don't mind one bit. This speaker was every bit worth the money I paid for it!

I shopped around for iPod speakers for a long time. After doing a ton of research I settled on these. Some of the reviewers said they experienced some sound quality issues and I did too until I changed the EQ settings on the iPod itself. The sound gets so loud! I am in love with this product! It is the perfect size to keep in smaller places like the kitchen and bathroom! I love being able to sing in the shower now!The only issue I have is when I move the product from room to room I have to keep a sturdy hold on the iPod itself or it falls off, but that is only a minor distraction. Tiny Micro Sd Card Reader - tiny micro sd card reader, elago

I *love* this thing.



It is tough: It's not made of cheap plastic; has a very substantial feel, no wiggle, no flex.

It is fast enough; my cards seem to be the limiting factor.

It is *tiny*. It fits almost entirely within the USB port. I leave one in my laptop at all times ... when it's in the case, seriously, at all times.

The lanyard/keyring loop hole is on the device, not on the cap, so you won't lose it. The hole is recessed, so it can't break off, unlike the other tiny reader by the same manufacturer (also a very nice device, btw).

The light is bright!

The card fits into the reader "backwards", i.e. you have to remove the reader from the port to get it out. The card is a little difficult to get out, but it's *not* falling out by accident. Think of this device as one to convert a micro SDHC card into a tiny USB flash drive ... if you want to frequently remove the card itself, i.e. to put in your phone, the other reader by the same manufacturer may better suit your tastes.

The cap fits very very snugly ... It's doubtful that it'll be falling off.

I have this one, too, and it's every bit as good, just different in terms of its intended purpose: better if you want to remove the card itself frequently.



So, in short: an fantastic reader, fantastic USB drive (supply your own storage), and I have a couple more on the way :) elago Mobile Nano II USB 2.0 microSDHC Flash Memory Card Reader (Black)

I can't believe these things aren't flying off the shelves!! Much better than any USB stick. When a USB stick fails it's either the memory chip or the controller, so you end up throwing the whole thing away. With this type of setup if the controller fails you can just remove the memory stick and use another controller or a micro-SD to standard SD adapter to gain access to your data again. Cuts your chances in half of losing files. Just read the other reviews, they all say everything I would say about this little gizmo. Someone mentioned that the blue light doesn't blink when data is written or read to/from the device, this is only partially correct - it actually flashes rapidly. With a class 6 memory stick it flashes VERY rapidly, hard to notice, but it does. I would prefer the light stay off unless it's being accessed. Someone else mentioned the memory stick was hard to get in and out - Well, yeah at first I wasn't sure which way to insert the card, so be careful. Be sure to insert it into the thinner slot face up with the yellow button face up. And push the yellow button to "eject" the card when you need to.

The speed is good enough relating to Transcend multi card reader.

The construction is reliable and the build quality is also very good. Plastics doesn't look or feel cheap.

In addition there is a blue led indicator, just like on the bigger flash drives.

Overall an Excellent, TINY Card Reader. I'm offering Advice on 2 aspects:



CARD INSERTION: At first, card insertion may be baffling or unclear, so, here goes:

Hold the Elago reader horizontally with the yellow triangle FACING UP.

With your thumbnail, slide the yellow triangle horizontally in and out. Leave it in the OUT position, that is, with MORE yellow showing. Do not inadvertently press on the yellow triangle in the following steps.

Simultaneously in your other hand, hold the micro sd(hc) card with the printing facing up and the shiny gold contacts facing down. (Just like in the first picture.)

Now slide the narrower side of the card(just like in the picture) into the UPPER SLOT of the Elago reader.

Most likely the card will slide most of the way into the Elago reader, but stop at the ridge, the last eighth, where the slightly raised portion is. (If it DOES go all the way in -- good, it's meant to.)

But if it stops at the ridge, and there's still a small section sticking out, you will need to wiggle the card, gently now, and push it ALL THE WAY into the Elago reader. (Later -- pushing down on the yellow triangle will enable you to retrieve your card.)

That's it. You can now plug the Elago reader into your USB slot. If the micro sd(hc) card is not FULLY inserted into the Elago reader, it WON'T BE DETECTED!!

After a few days it will become easier to insert.



Wow, that took longer than I thought!



SPEED: One reviewer said the Elago reader speed was slow. I beg to differ. Performing benchmark tests on a Patriot 16 GB Class 10 micro SDHC card, I got 17.5 GB/s write, and 19.8 GB/s read speeds.

Paper Shredder - attractive, a  great safe shredder

I purchased this locally about 8 months ago and it has been chomping away at the mountain of paper in my apartment that I haven't thrown out because I didn't have a shredder. I sometimes overtax it by giving it more than 6 sheets of paper and, while it slows down a bit, it still works. I also like that I don't have to remove staples before feeding it.



When I bought it, I didn't know how important crosscut shredding is. I saw a news piece on identity theft today and the security expert said there is a thriving industry where meth dealers make some of their "customers" sit at tables all day, piecing together documents that have been through a ribbon shredder. You can't do that with something that's been crosscut.



The reviewer who couldn't get it to run after emptying it probably came across one of it's safety features. While the shredder fits in the basket either way, in order for it to run, the cord must be in the same corner as the little metal tab-thingy inside the basket. The tab-thingy fits into a slot in the motor. This is actually an excellent idea. The shredder will not operate unless it is properly in the basket, thereby ensuring that Homedics' customers finish their shredding projects with the same number of fingers they started with. (But it's still a good idea to unplug the machine when you are picking paper out of its metal teeth.) I found this feature by accident but, once I knew what to look for, I still couldn't find it in the manual.



I deducted one star for poor documentation but, other than that, you get exactly what the box says -- a sturdy little crosscut shredder that will handle 6 sheets of paper, staples and credit cards. Homedics ID Defender 6-Sheet Crosscut Shredder (ID-61M)

I bought this to replace an old strip-cut shredder. I wanted the higher security of a cross-cut shredder.



The good:

* It produces confetti. The shreds are pretty small, maybe 1/4" wide by 3/4" long and very uniform.



* I will eat staples and small paper clips without complaining.



* It's small - fits under my desk well.



* The basket has a safety catch so the blades can't engage if the shredder is off the basket.



* Thermal protection will shut down the shredder if it overheats.



The bad:

* Says 6-sheet capacity, but it's more like 3.5 sheets. It will chug along with 4 sheets, but you can really hear it straining. The one time I fed it 6 sheets it wouldn't get through all the sheets and I had to clear it out.



* The confetti takes up a surprising amount of room. The small basket means you have to lift the shredder off and crush down the shreds occasionally. I was catching up on a bunch of shredding (maybe 250 pages) and I filled two kitchen-sized trash bags.



* Small motor overheats quickly. I had to stop twice during my marathon shred session because the shredder's motor overheated and it just stopped on me. Feeling on the case you could tell the guts were VERY warm.



* The catch in the basket means you can't really put this shredder on a bigger receptacle unless you override the safety.



For the money, I'm satisfied. Now that I'm caught up on my shredding, my needs are fairly light weight. But if you needed to do any type of volume of shredding, and by that I mean more than 20 or 30 pages a day, you would probably be better suited to a more robust shredder.

I purchased this shredder and think it is worth the money. I overstuffed it last week because I was not paying attention and it continued to churn but when I stopped it, it would not come on again. I cleared the cutters best as I could, then eventually pressed the lever for the credit card cutter and it finished the job. It is now working again. Am looking for a couple more as gifts and found it on this site. I believe it is a good value, and works well. Just remember that it does have its limitations which are clearly stated as 6 sheets.

I bought this item in late January -- by the end of February it had completely ceased operating. It is totally dead! I have used it, perhaps, about a dozen times and only feeding one sheet in at a time. I will return it for a refund. I suppose I should have known better than buy something cheap; there is a good reason why it is inexpensive! I shall certainly steer clear of this manufacturer for my next shredder and invest in better quality.

I bought this without really reading the reviews and was filled with buyer's remorse after reading all the negative and sub-par reviews. But after trying it out, it's really pretty good. No real problems with it. It's not a five-star product but it gets the job done. I think it can handle a little over 6 pages depending on the thickness. I once put an entire unopened envelope for my cell phone bill and it kind of struggled but it went through. Unfortunately, it didn't shred it completely but it's amazing to me that it didn't blow up.



I agree with people that say the documentation is lacking. For those of you that threw it away or returned it after it stopped working, you really need more patience. It happened to me and all it needed was to cool down a bit. You also have to be aware of the safety switch right under where the power cord is attached. It won't work if you don't put it in the bin properly. I'm glad because I tend to forget to unplug it or switch it off before I start manually pulling papers out. Though I wouldn't have known any of this from reading the manual. It was lucky I read it in the reviews here.



Cons: The bin does fill quickly and the shreds will eventually push the shredder up causing it to shut off. It stops clearing out once it starts to get full so you're left with a clump of shreds to pull out if you don't empty before it fills up. The overheat shut-off seems to happen randomly, usually after you've stopped using it for a couple minutes (I totally understand why people freak out a little).



I think once I'm done shredding all these documents and bills I've been building up the past 8yrs, it should be perfect for light shredding. It was a great price for a pretty good product. - Attractive - A  great Safe Shredder - Paper Shredder - Cross Cut Shredder'

just received my new GPS today, plugged it into my mac, and installed tomtom's mac version of their home software. everything has worked well so far and the free map update installed fine. there are two main things that purchasers need to know:



1) space is very limited on the device. there is only 2 GB of internal flash memory and out of the box there was less than 50 MB free. the very first thing you should do is to delete voices in languages you don't use. this will free up a couple/three hundred MB. they can get backed up to your computer so you could always put them back in the future. once a bit of space is freed up you'll be able to update the device without issue. after removing spanish and french voices, running update which installed a new dave voice, and then installing the free map update i was left with 89 MB free. when i tried to run update before removing the voices, the unit warned me about lack of space and aborted without creating any further problems. maybe the mac version of home is more robust than the windows one in this respect.



2) the device only supports USB 1.1 transfers which max out at a bit over 1 MB/sec and can be slower. so doing a full backup or a map update will take quite a while (1-2 hours) and this is normal.



for me, those limitations are more than offset by the large, bright screen, text2speech capability, crowd-sourced map/route updates, and cheaper southern africa maps (we're moving there soon). especially given the cheap sale price i found. i will provide updates as i put unit through paces on cross-country trip and then intercontinental move..... I'm pretty tech savvy and have used different GPS devices in the past. I chose Tomtom over Garmin mainly due to tomtom HOME support, better user interface: tomtom has more info on the screen including the street name you're driving on.



Most negative reviews here are from issues updating map which is larger than the old one (about 5 Mb larger) and causes error.

but it's simple to go around it.



1. connect to home computer. turn the unit on. select Yes to connect. Tomtom Home will install on your computer.

2. on Tomtom HOME menu, go to "Manage my ONE XL". On Items on Device, click voices. you can back up then delete all foreign computer voices (recorded voice files are small, so doesn't matter). just keep DAVE, and Susan computer voices( you need at least one computer voice for spoken street names). You should free up about 130 Mb (much more than you need)

3. now you can update new map with no problem. it does take a long time. after you're done, you still have 125 Mb extra to download customized items, map corrections in the future. customized car symbols are really cool, as are start up and shut down images. these customized items and map corrections are so small: tiny to 0.5 Mb that with > 125 Mb free, you can keep updating for years to come.



Pros: 4.3 inch screen, great routing, advanced lane guidance (it does work well), IQ route (faster route based on historical traffic data), very quick GPS fix <30 sec (but you need to connect to computer at least every 7 days so that a GPS file can be updated to help fix signal quickly), a little longer for a cold start or if you forget to sync with your computer more than 7 days, but it's still around 1 minute or less to fix the signal. also very strong signal, almost full bar inside my house. Text to speech (for spoken street names) is computer voice, so it's OK. recorded voices are nicer but unable to do text to speech. the included Easyport mount is great, simple, stable.



Cons: the screen brightness at 100% is still not as bright as I want (I also use Tomtom Navigator 6 on my smartphone with better contrast, brightness) but you still can see fine on a sunny day. The computer voices for text to speech are not as clear when you drive and play music.



In summary, this tomtom has a lot of great features for the price. if you don't need bluetooth (for hands free call with your cell phone, which is not good anyway because your volume always appears tiny to the other end), FM transmitter (which is not practical if you need to play your CD in the car), or live traffic receiver (which is spotty based on the info I've read), This 340S is the one to get. most people own smartphones these days with internet, so they can get live traffic, up to date points of interest from Google map, play mp3 and pictures. So you don't really need those features from a GPS device (which is more expensive)

This is my 3rd Tom Tom and i always buy them refurbished beacuse they look and work new (Comes with a 6 month warranty) ! I got the unit out of its box and immediately hooked it up to my computer. After a few seconds the unit started and connection was made ( if you never had a tom tom unit, it will download the software for you) i immediately clicked on "latest map guarantee" and it told me that there was a new map available and it was free for me to download ! It took me afew hours to do the download and get the new map and now i have a brand new map in my refurb unit :) I turned the unit on when i was in the car for the first time and it took 5 seconds for the unit to find where we were !

The screen is very big so it is very easy to enter address and do the settings. The lane assist feature is great now i know where to stay on the highway and never miss a turn. I used it under the train tracks( Bronx NY) and just like my older tom tom never lost any signal and kept up with my speed and turns. IQ routes are great it knows where there will be traffic (gets this info from mapshare not live traffic but uses historical data) and suggests other routes for you to take. Map share is great so even if your map gets old you still get updates from other drivers so it is like getting free maps everytime you hook the unit up to your computer.

I have been using this device for about 7 months and i am still very happy with it and not willing to upgrade or change it to another yet ! My rating is still 5 stars because this unit never failed on me ! did it give me 1 or 2 bad turns ? yes it did but this is acceptable and it was minor. Battery is still great gives me over 1 hr without the cord. Everything works perfectly so as i said before don't think twice just buy this refurbished unit !'

I used this nailer to install over 700 square feet of 1/2" engineered hardwood floor. It took over 3,500 18 gauge staples and not a single misfire, jam, or problem. Save yourself a hundred dollars over the more expensive products that accomplish no more than this one. It has a 7 year warranty. I called the Freeman company before purchasing. They seemed like good folks and are located in Georgia. Buy with confidence, it's a good product and I'm very happy to have saved some money and still get my project done with zero problems. Freeman PFBC940 4-in-1 Mini Flooring Nailer/Stapler using 1 5/8-Inch 18 Gauge Nails or Staplers

Product seems to be high quality. I bought to install 3/8 inch engineered hardwood.



The problem I have had with it is very frustrating! The safety mechanism that must be pushed in before the trigger will activate the stapling cycle is badly designed and/or badly positioned. It causes much frustration and requires much extra effort to correctly position the Freeman stapler. If you don't take the extra steps to makes sure you will find out how difficult it is to remove a misplaced staple.
