Bought this for my wife's kindergarteners (their school just so happens to be 30/1) and it worked out really well. None of the tubes were dried out and they seemed to wear well. The kids used the glue for traditional projects and everyone said it held up very well. I bought a box of these for my high school students to use on a class project. They were gluing ads from magazines onto construction paper and poster boards (variety of types). Once dry, things would pop off. The magazine paper wasn't staying glued to the construction paper or the poster boards. Different types of paper products were used with the same results. I cannot recommend these based on my experience with them.'

The Concealed Handgun Manual caught me by surprise. Most books purporting to be a guide to acquiring a gun for defense, or training for handgun defense become either an exercise where the author promotes his personal choice for a handgun, or a defense technique book for someone who has been in police or other law enforcement service for 20 years. This book is a valuable exception. What The Concealed Handgun Manual has to offer is knowledge, knowledge that would suit anyone considering a defensive handgun purchase, as well as 90% of the people who have already purchased a gun for self defense and have had a difficult time initiating proper training.There is an early section dealing with the types of situations where a defensive handgun was, or could have been helpful. I don't think the author was selling, I think this was intended to be affirmation of the notion that guns can, in a very practical setting, save lives. This is followed by a large section addressing the question, "Why carry a gun?". Then immediately after this section is the best chapter possible for this type of work, a chapter covering how to stay out of trouble and the use of nonviolent resolution.There is very complete and balanced coverage of pistols and revolvers; pro's and con's, application, caliber and relative value. No pushes or shoves, just some very objective information the reader can pick and choose from, more than "This is the best of what each has to offer", rather than "This is the type you should pick". There is a good section on holsters, holster types and manufacturers, as well as other vehicles for concealed carry. Shooting methods and alternatives under various situations are covered extensively; basic and advanced techniques are both covered. This rolls into an overview of what it's like, and how to conduct yourself in a gun fight, then how best to practice, and finally the handgun concealed carry laws in each state. No, you can't read this book and become an expert in these areas, but you could read this book and be set in the right direction for developing this expertise.Summary - valuable book, well thought out, wish there were many more like it. This is perhaps the most complete book for new, or even experienced, handgun owners I have seen. Former crime reporter Chris Bird covers the subject of firearms, their efficacy in reducing crime, techniques for concealing them, when to use them and not to use them, and the ethics, responsibilities and legalities involved in their use for self-defense.The book is replete with dozens of anecdotes of people who have had experiences where the use of a handgun saved them or their friends or family from serious injury or death, the massive effects of adrenalin and ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone secreted by the pituitary gland) usually present in life or death situations like gunfights, and instances like the one at Luby's Cafeteria, where a single armed person could have saved many lives.Bird covers the operation and nomenclature of both revolvers and semi-automatics, and discusses the pros and cons of the desirability of one over the other for self protection. He also discusses at minimal length the requirements of the various states with "shall issue" concealed weapons laws, and tells you where and how to get more information directly from the state involved.Gun-control arguments, pro and con, are discussed, although clearly the author is dismissive of the arguments in favor of more gun control laws, and ascribes the effort to disarm the public to people who know nothing about firearms or their use and are afraid of them as a result of their ignorance. Their arguments are usually emotional, anecdotal, resort to ad hominem attacks, and are dismissive of the facts and statistics. I just finished the second edition (year 2000 printing) of Chris Bird's "The Concealed Handgun Manual." The book is VERY well written, providing real life examples for Bird's major points. I'm not providing a glowing review just because the author and I live in the same city, but I am aware of most of the examples that were San Antonio events and his telling of the events conforms to my recall.The section that had the greatest impact on me is his discussion of the results of actually USING deadly force. I'm not talking about the emotional impact, but the legal and financial consequences.The first two reviewers took Bird to task on several issues to which I want to respond. No, the book is not racist in any way. I suspect his writing is probably influenced by his reporter skills. Greater details improve the accounting of any factual event.I don't recall Bird writing that the woman was correct to enter her home while burglars were in action. Bird was just telling the reader what happened...the book is not fiction, he just reported the events.I feel certain that Bird would not recommend any one use his book exclusively to select a weapon and strap it to his hip. Much can be discovered by renting various handguns for an hour at the range. Further more, I doubt if he would think it proper to decide to carry concealed without ever having spent time practicing at the range and taking some lessons. Camera Accessories - leather case, g11

The case pictured on listings for the PSC-5200 looks just like the overseas Japan/UK/Australia case available for the G10 -- the SC-DC60A.



This is NOT that case. I uploaded a gallery of images of the actual case I received. Please check out my photos before you decide whether or not to buy. It is perfectly functional, but is clearly a simpler, more cheaply made case than the SC-DC60A. It is made in China. Canon PSC-5200 Deluxe Leather Case for Canon Powershot G10 Digital Camera

The case look very nice but when i try it with my g11, it did not meet my expectation. the case did not fit the camera. Most probably because it is made for g10. So, i did not recommend this to the g11 user but likely to recommend to the g10 user. Thanks.

Goods arrived in good working order. Everything was branded as "Canon" and appears to be of good quality, workmanship, and materials. It was of course designed for a G10 and the G11's dimensions are ever so slightly different, but nonetheless it pretty much fit like a glove. In order to accomodate the G11's flip-out screen, I took a pair of tin-snips to the left hand side and trimmed some material out of the way to allow for the screen to flip-out easily. A little touch of sharpie black marker to the edge helped my handiwork to blend in somewhat better.

The other reviewer is correct, in that the stitching is somewhat different on the case you will receive - there are two diagonal stitches at the top front that are not shown in the amazon photo. Otherwise, I can find no difference. What is important, I think, is that this case is far nicer than the other leather canon case made for the G-series, which is clunky and ill-fitting. This one fits nicely, screwing into place with the tripod fastener. It is also much easier to use in that the top of the case is both openable and removable. I think the quality is quite good and for a genuine leather case, the price is a miracle.

The Canon PSC-4200 camera case does not fit the Canon G12 camera. It may show up under Amazon's listing of accessories for the G12... don't buy it. It just doesn't fit! It is nicely made but just doesn't fit.

I wanted to write a quick review of this item after reading some negative reviews.



I have a G10 that I take everywhere. This case is well made (yes, made in China) and looks awesome. It does exactly what it is designed to do, protects your camera in style! I only regret I didn't buy it before I went to Italy.



Why would you give this product a bad rating saying that it doesn't fit your G11?! It's for the G10! Duh!



For the price this is an absolute steal. If you own a G10, order this.. you won't regret it!

I see a lot of G-10 cameras around the necks of tourists. For $10 they really should have this case. The material is thick, stiff leather that will take a lot of scuffing, and the inside is lined with some kind of soft material against the camera case. When I first got it, the flip-over front cover was understandably stiff (had not flexed much yet), like a new pair of shoes. Now it conforms very well to the shape of the camera.



One problem is that the front cover will get in your shot if you leave it snapped on the rest of the cover that holds the camera. Sure, it's easy to detach, and the three snaps are high quality for repeated on/off. But then you have to figure out where to keep the front cover. I suppose you could spin it around on the bottom snap so that it curves downward, not upward, but there's a chance it will snap away and fall off.



Nonetheless, the case allows for the use of the factory neck strap, and there's enough depth on the back that it helps keep things like zippers/buttons on your coat from scraping by the viewing screen. This protects the screen from scratches to some extent, compared with using the camera alone.



If you use a tripod, the bottom screw of the case that mounts into the camera's tripod mount is, itself, threaded for a tripod mount.



The leather case must be removed to get to the memory card and battery. There's no access flap on the side, and that's fine, given the goal of protecting the camera.

I received this beautiful black leather case a week ago and I love it! It did not fit the G11 screen on the left side only. As suggested by another reviewer , I took a sharp pair of scissors and trimed a 3/8" wide strip from the left side. I transitioned nicely to the curve at the bottom. Then I burnished it with the edge of the scissor to round the leather edge. With a black sharpie I colored the edge and it fits like a glove! I don't understand why people are saying it doesn't fit? All of this took me 5 minutes total! There are cases for around $100 for the G11. I got this one deliver to my home for $9.50! It is well constructed and appears to be a original Canon product, box and all say Canon. I am delighted! Ps3 Controller - mini-b, micro usb

This is the most common USB cable these days for connecting 'something' to your computer but... beware of the 'Micro-B vs. Mini-B' interface confusion (read below).



On this specific cable, everything is done right, including the price. It is USB 2.0 certified, meaning that it supports data transfer rates of up to 480Mbps and, if your device accepts a Mini-B plug, this is the cable to get. Maybe the 2-meter length (6+ ft.) is a little bit too much but it does not bother me a lot and there may come a time when a cable this long may come in handy.



I am awarding this item 5 stars for price and quality - there's nothing to complain. However, I suggest that you look around before you place the order because you just might have one of these already as they tend to ship with many electronic gadgets these days.

Notes:



Anyone in the market for a USB cable should be very careful because there are at least 6 kinds of USB connectors. If you are buying a cable that connects 'something' to your computer or laptop, the computer end of the cable will always be a USB-A or 'Type A' connector. At the other end, you may have a USB-B/Type B - a nearly square shaped connector used mostly to deliver power to a device but this is rare. Most likely, you will have a Mini-B or a Micro-B. The difference between the 2 is that the Micro-B is half as thick while the width is the same - Mini-B is 3x7mm while Micro-B is 1.5x7mm.



If your device (phone, PDA, camera) is a 'new' one and it's using USB, chances are that they will need a Micro-B connector because the industry seems to be adopting the 'Micro' form factor as its standard. If the above sounds simple, you should keep in mind that some devices require Mini-AB or Micro-AB connectors, also known as USB OTG (OnTheGo) devices.



My advice: before ordering any cable, make sure that you clearly understand what type of cable you need.



Whenever in doubt, do some more research and keep in mind that the 'Micro-B' (very small) is the emerging standard and it's likely to be found on the newer and smaller gadgets - phones, cameras, etc. but, before it we had the 'Mini-B' (this specific cable) so the older devices will need the 'Mini'. I use these cables for connecting MP3 devices and such, and also for connecting my Razr cellphone, using the Motorola Phone Tools software on my computer. (Note that for the latter purpose, you can actually use Bluetooth if you want to, and have the capability on your computer.)



Cable works perfectly, no problems or hassles. Construction quality is good. This is pretty basic technology after all.

I ordered this 'cos price was low. Tried connecting a Western Digital Elements 500gb portable hard disk and a 120gb hitachi 2.5 inch sata hard disk in an Acomdata Tango enclosure to my laptop using this. Connection is not at all stable. It connects and then disconnects immediately and then connects again and on and on. If left connected it'll probably damage the external hard drive. So right now, I'm using it only for charging my PS3 controller. Seems to be good for that. Hence the 2 stars.

I used a USB Mini Cable to download new maps from my computer to my GPS. The cable works just fine. When you purchase your cable, just be aware that there are at least two types: Micro and Mini; do not confuse the two different types.

This is just a USB cable. Nothing much to say, however, beware of the mini side. The large neck around the mini side prevents it from going into my graphing calculator. Make sure the connection on your device is not recessed.

This mini USB to USB 2.0 cable works perfectly when I need to connect my Garmin GPS to my PC's USB port. This is particularly useful for Garmin's GPS online product registration and map update downloads. The quality of the cable is rather good; it just plain feels well constructed and it has never failed to work for me; I have no complaints about this product. Although another reviewer wrote that their cable was shorter than the 6 foot length that is advertised here, mine is just about 72 inches long.



Some other cables will cost you more but you'll get the same quality as you will with this cable. I can't see why you should spend more so I highly recommend this item.

This USB to Mini-USB cable does what it is supposed to do, and when I purchased it, it was able to ship with Super Saver Shipping on a larger order, making it a really great deal for the price.

I needed an alternative to mounting my projector; I didn't want to mount it to the ceiling and wall mount was out of the question (see my pic above). After much price comparisons and searching, I settled upon the Pyle PSTND2. IMO, it's well worth the money. The tripod is built very well and it's strong and sturdy. I bought mine from another site for $8 cheaper than here and the total with shipping was around $33. If you're looking for a tripod, doesn't hesitate on this one. You'll find similar styles that cost $20 to $100 more than this but I bet you they're made by the same company in China.





As a side bar, I was going to mount my projector to my old camera tripod. I bought a 6' aluminum extension pipe/bar and the ODYSSEY LATSA1 mounting hardware to go along with it. The aluminum bar ended up being too big to fit in the camera tripod and the ODYSSEY LATSA1 was too big for the aluminum bar! I ended up scrapping that project and bought the PSTND2 to go along with the LATSA1. I'm really glad that I went with the PSTND2 as it's very sturdy and BIG, unlike that camera tripod I was going to use. That thing would have tipped over had I used it. I recieved these stamds quicker than I expected . The quialiy was much better than I expected fo such a low price . I purchased these stands for our PA system speakers at our Church . They look good and perform perfectly for our needs . I will definately consider again if the need arises .

I was amazed at the price range of tripod speaker stands. I was on a tight budget but did not want to compromise quality. I read the reviews and ordered two. I feel like I made out like a bandit with the free super saver shipping. I am impressed with their build quality, they are very sturdy, easy to set up and take down, and considering they are steel - are not heavy. I don't think I saw any other stand with better value than this one.

Good News: I received the stands this Saturday morning, just in time for use..

Bad News: Both stands were received with broken knobs that are so essential to tighten the screws that hold the tripod legs in position.

The Speaker stands were of a very high quality, nad look to be extremely durable. The packaging left a bit to be desired, and one stand had a bent end on one tube (I repaired that with no problem), and a 1/4" nut was lost in the shipping. But the product itself is GREAT, especially for the price!

first of all they came broken, after i fixed them and used them a few times they hold my speakers but my biggest complaint is that everytime i tighten them so they wont move it dents them i dont know what type of metal they are made of but its very weak and dents every easily, i would not recommend these, i wish i would of spent more and got some steel stands - Speaker Stand - Pyle - Ortofon - Good'

We have a very (very) handicapped son and were barely able to squeeze him into size 6. We hesitated to move up to "depends" because of the cost. The new size 7 is a lifesaver for us!



I saw the other reviews, but we've had no problems with leaks or with the tabs.



From some of the reviews, sounds like these might not be a great fit for large toddlers, but for a 55 pound six-year-old, they're perfect!

Great size diapers for my kid, nowadays they grow bigger than our past generations, so this N°7 are ideal for this matter.

For those that say it's the same size as 6, I have to tell you I do notice the diference between 6 and 7.

Thank goodness Pampers makes Cruisers in Size 7 and thank you Amazon for being smart enough to carry the elusive size! Our 16 month toddler has always been big for his age and as his size 6 diapers were starting to get snug, I thought I'd be forced to go switch to pull ups. I'm so glad I found them on Amazon because no one else seems to carry them. Pampers Cruisers are extremely thin with a non-irritating liner and regardless of your little one's size, they fit like a glove. Perfect for a little one on the go.

My son is not 41 pounds yet, but he does not fit in size 6 diapers anymore. I guess it's because he is chunkier than he should be for his height. I am so glad that Pampers invented size 7 just as my son started needing them. Now I don't have to buy medical diapers for him. My son is severely disabled, and I need to buy diapers for him until he is 3 years old. Then the insurance will cover them. Thanks, Pampers, for making size 7. I only wish I could get them in any store!



I think the Pampers work great. My son hasn't had a leaky Pamper yet, and believe me, my son has a tendency to have leaky diapers from time to time.

We used and enjoyed Dry Max technology on sizes 1, 1-2 and 2-3. When we switched to #4 the diapers leaked all the time; at least twice per night the baby would be completely wet. The diaper seemed to stay unused. We switched back to leftover 2-3 size with no leaking and hefty load in the morning. It seems that Pampers did not faithfully implemented DryMax on size 4 despite the claim. I will not recommend.

Our son just turned three and is not yet potty-trained. He's also off the charts for height so when Pampers came out with this product, it was fantastic for him! Hopefully, we won't need diapers for much longer.

The size 7 Pampers is not that much bigger than the size 6, just less diapers in the package. Half the time my son wakes in the morning with one of the tabs torn and the diaper hanging.

I bought this unlocked sidekick fully aware that the internet and picture messaging were not going to work. I just bought this phone to talk and text. I popped my sim card in and it worked. The phone looks cool and the swivel screen is the sidekick signature. I have at&t and the voice calls were pretty clear. Glad with my purchase. I recommend for anyone wanting a phone to talk and text. If you are looking to use it for internet then this might not be the phone for you. Specifically with AT&T



-If you yank out battery or phone crashes/turns off in any abnormal way, your sim card phonebook

may get erased however do not panic, turn off the phone and then turn it on again and the contacts

SHOULD recover. I highly recommend getting a back up sim with all your contacts on it just in case.





Besides those few issues, it's a great and beautiful phone and is quick to text. I love it and

can easily tolerate the issues. The calls are surprisingly clear (speakerphone is however very quiet)



Battery lasts a good two days with consistent texting.

I am happy that I got the phone its in great condition and came a day before the delivery estimate. It worked fine from the start and I love!! The only thing I'm a bit mad about is that the micro sd card wasn't included when it shows that it does clearly on the box. I'm wondering if the OEM shop took it out or.....All in all, great product I would buy from them anytime.

the seller got the phone to me very fast which i was pleased about. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I didn't get the 1G sd card like everyone else but its all good. The keys are a little stiff but will loosen up with time im sure.

I am using it on at&t and it actually gets better signal that my native at&t phone the Captivate. since its with at&t all this phone can do is text and call, which is does excellently. i leave the apps and camera and everything else up to my captivate.

the sidekick has great battery life if you're using it with an at&t sim card since all it has to do is receive phone calls and texts, not web data of any kind. I have at least half of the battery left at the end of the day with constant texting.

I purchased this phone as a secondary device to my Blackberry 9700 and I am enjoying using the phone. I have tmobile service already so I called them to see about getting the sidekick data plan. They told me that it was possible to have the service but I would have to break my blackberry contract and that would be a cost of $200 for an ETF. I decided not to go that route and will just use the phone as a text, mms, and phone call device. I see a few people said that they were not able to send and receive picture/video messages on the sidekicks because they have no data but I was able to do so with no issues even if I cannot go to a webpage on the phone. I think that the design and aesthetics of the phone is very appealing and I am glad I purchased. The phone looked brand new when I opened the package. I had the phone (no scratches), an operators manual, battery, data wire, earphones as well as a carrying pouch. I could not have asked for anything more and I will gladly do more business with this company if all of their interactions are this professional.

I am reviewing the plan mainly because there is nothing wrong with the phone but a lot of mystique seems to be surrounding the infamous Sidekick service not being in effect any longer. So I finally got my phone 100% activated on a new prepaid phone number so I wouldn't have to keep changing my sim card back and forth with my blackberry when I want to use this phone. I called tech support and with the change of the APN in the system I have full 100% use of my device. I have my Facebook and twitter apps going and emails coming to the phone. I think the issues that come in to place with not having data on the phone is when you are using a sim card that is not Tmobile. As long as you are on the network and the service can be verified then you should have no issues with data being switched on at the 3G level. Otherwise, this phone works fantastic. The only gripe I have is that the battery power tends to drop a little more than I would like. It loses power now because I am always playing with the data on it, however before I hooked the phone up I charged it completely and never used it but when I tried to use it about three days later it was completely dead which means standby is incredibly low. Just something to consider. Otherwise there are no other issues with my device, I am completely satisfied.

Okay, so it looks like the data is, indeed, gone from this device, never to return. With the data gone this phone is still a nice device to use, so the phone does not lose any stars but I am questioning Tmobile's motive in cutting off such a mass amount of their customers. If you are not into any data features then this is a nice device to use. If you are an internet creature, like myself, please look elsewhere.
