I got this HDMI cable for under $10 with shipping just to see whether it will work as well as the expensive ones and it was well worth the risk. I tested it with my upconverting LG DVD player on 1080i resolution on my 42" 1080p Westinghouse LCD TV (update 2009: now used for Blu-ray from PS3 to 46" Sony LCD TV) and it works just like any other HDMI cable, including those loud names who charge you ten-fold for "golden plated extra special micro gravity nanotechnology space age wireless high conductivity low noise extra gauge supercalafragilisticexpialidocious" cables with no difference in performance. By buying this cable I avoided the huge "naive citizen tax" included in these products. Considering its price, this is an amazingly good cable. HDMI Cable 2M (6 Feet)

This cable has received a lot of attention on Amazon, so I thought I'd throw in my two cents. I'll write the most simple review I can:



Me buy this cable. Me plug this cable between Sony PS3 and Philips 42" LCD TV. Sony PS3 say "HDMI Detected". TV say picture from source is "HDMI 1080p". Me point to Monster cables and laugh.

OK - here's the story. I was going to buy a Toshiba HDTV. I had picked it out already and was ready to purchase it and that was when I found a promotion at a local retailer that if I bought a Toshiba HDTV then I can get $200 off of any of the Toshiba HD DVD players. The HDA2 was normally $399 but was on sale for $299 and with the $200 off I got it for $99!! You can't beat that!



Well, I got that on Tuesday and it was an unexpected purchase. I asked the person at the store how much the HDMI cable would be so that I can hook it up as soon as I get home. He said, it's a Monster Cable and it costs $124.99! Whoa! I went up to the shelf and saw the sticker that said $124.99 on it and on the sticker it said "Financing Available"! What?! I'm not going to pay more for the cable than I did for the DVD player! These guys are crazy!



I told the guy "You are nuts if you think I'm going to pay that amount" and I logged onto Amazon and purchased this HDMI cable I'm doing the review for. I paid, with shipping, less than $9 for it. I was a little worried about it though - I'm sure that there must be a difference between the $124.99 cable and the $9 cable. So, I took the test. I went and purchased the $124.99 cable (mostly because I was too anxious to try out the new HD DVD player and couldn't wait for it to arrive). I plugged it in and of course the HD DVD I played looked absolutely amazing! The very next day I got the $9 cable (pretty fast shipping by these guys by the way) and I hooked it up. I was worried what I would find but when I started watching the same HD DVD that I watched the night before on the $124.99 cable I could notice NO DIFFERNCE WHATSOEVER between the two cables' results. So I returned the $124.99 cable.



You will not be sorry if you purchase this cable over the other ones in the major retailers. Don't let them tell you "it's a better quality cable" or anything like that. This cable is built very well - you can just tell when you hold it in your hand that it was made well. You don't get the fancy plastic packaging that you have to tear into with a knife and cut your fingers on though (oh what a bummer!). Get this cable. It's great!



The only thing you will want to research is that I have seen in some literature that there are two different kinds of cables. I think there is a special one for 1080p DVD players (dont' quote me on this). So do your research before purchasing just to make sure that this is the correct "type". As far as build quality - picture quality, for use with an upconverting DVD player as well as the Toshiba HDA2 HD DVD player, it's an absolute steal.

HDMI is a digital signal. That means it's all or nothing--not like analog where you may have degradation due to signal loss, crosstalk, radio frequency interference, etc. As long as you have a decent HDMI cable to transmit the digital bitstream from point A to point B, you're set. I just purchased the new Sony Bravia S-series 32 inch LCD TV. To go with it, I trashed my old Apex with the missing remote and got a deal on a Sony DVP-NS70H upconverting DVD player that can synthesize "extra" lines of resolution. The player can send 720p or 1080i signal to the TV. (Current DVDs are 480p; that standard will change eventually with Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.) I knew that the upconversion feature only works through a digital connection, so I'd need to get an HDMI cable. Started checking prices and, no surprise, they were all over the place. Some were in the $100 range. Despite mild skepticism, I decided to try the cheapest one. This little beauty arrived in 3 days in a plain brown wrapper and a clear plastic bag. The cable is surprisingly robust, with nice build quality, supple insulation, and good connectors. I started to feel vindicated. So I plugged it in, put Harry Potter in the DVD player and WOW!! The DVD player and TV did their magic. Spellbindingly great picture and sound. I haven't tried a component analog connection--those cables are REALLY expensive and quality matters more there--so I can't compare component versus HDMI. Bottom line: this is an unbeatable price performer for around $10 incuding shipping. And no, this is not an April Fools joke.'

Purchased for use with my new Fujipix 12MP Water Camera - no problem keeping it where I could see it in the water. Camera is submerged but float is large enough and bright enough to spot. I think it is much more attractive than those big multi creased floats. Also has a quick clip so you can easily remove the float when not on the water. Chums Waterproof Camera Float

Bought this for a cruise to use with my Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2, which Amazon tells me weighs 5.9 oz. It was easy to connect (and disconnect with a quick release), floated to the top of the water quickly, held up well and was easy to see from a ways away. It is much better looking than some of the life vest looking ones on Amazon. Great product that did exactly what it was supposed to.

I saw this item on Amazon, And decided to give it a try based on , some of the other reviews. Well it arrived today, Its bright yellow, Which is excellent in the blue Sea, And looks great paired with my Canon D10, Well I tried it out attached to my Canon, in a sink full of water, And I"m very glad to say, That it kept my D10 floating...........it does its job well, its very well made and nice and soft to the touch, And very comfortable on your wrist, I"m looking forward to taking it on my next cruise vacation to the Caribbean............I highly reccomend it.........

Personally... I don't feel as if any of the foam lanyards are fashionable, or cool. BUT, this one is as close as you will get. And, as an added bonus, it works. I put mine on an Olympus Stylus Tough, and it floats it perfectly. That's what it was designed to do, and it does it.

This has a simple snap so the thick part / float can easily be removed but it won't come off by itself. Bright, comfortable etc.



This isn't enough to float the camera but it will make it easy to find if you drop your camera in the water.



I wouldn't consider bothering with a camera case as this float is way too big to fit in a case.

This is a simple product that works. The yellow color is visible in the water. Without the strap, the camera sinks to the bottom, with the strap, the camera stays close to the top. I was worried the weight of the camera would be too much for the strap, but the strap stays 1/2 above the water. There's a quick twist release that allows you to remove the yellow handle when you are not using it in the water. I have both the camera strap that came with the camera and this one together. The yellow strap fits comfortably around my wrist. I guess the only enhancement to this strap would be an adjustable collar that would allow the user to tighten or loosen the wrist strap depending on the size of their wrist.

I have had some sort of waterproof camera for 5 years now, and have only been using the provided straps that have come with the cameras. While they are very good for keeping the camera strapped to you, they provide no protection if you happen drop the camera while passing it off to someone or you end up getting the strap and camera caught in your gear while putting on a lifejacket, etc.



With this chums float, you can take a few pictures then just let the camera go in the water while you are messing with your gear, and it will still be around when you are finished and ready to go again.



It is nice that they have a quick disconnect, but I am not fully convinced that the chums strap's connection is strong enough to withstand a lot of pressure, so I have been doubling up and using the tougher strap that came with my camera as well.



Another useful thing I have found with this strap is that you can tuck your camera between it and your arm if you are needing to use your arms a lot (this came in handy while climbing up waterfalls in the Dominican Republic). That way it is softly cushioned up against your body and out of the way of smacking rocks like it would be if it were just dangling from your wrist.

The Chums waterproof camera float works great for a GoPro HD. It was a little larger than expected but the size works out great to slip over your wrist in or out of the water. Several times I found myself stuffing the camera inside my pocket to swim "camera free" and not having to fiddle with velcro or clips is a big plus. It was easy to swim with the wrist strap on and camera in hand down to 20' or so and the float easily brought the GoPro back to the surface when "freed". Also it was a bonus always being able to find the camera with the bright yellow strap attached. Whether stuffed in a pocket or free floating it is quick to locate. - Waterproof Camera'

I currently own an Olympus DSLR (E-410), along with a Olympus SP-550UZ super-zoom camera. I decided to buy this camera because I wanted a pocket camera with a nice zoom lens that can take decent quality photos and I received an email from Olympus saying I could get $50 off at select retailers. Disclaimer: I have only had this camera for a couple days thus this review is only based off of a small amount of time of hands on time with this camera.



First -- Image quality. If I compare this to my DSLR; the DSLR will beat this camera and my SP-550UZ hands down. There really is no comparison. But if I compare the image quality to other camera within the VR-320's class my opinion would be that this camera easily succeeds the other cameras in terms of image quality. The color is outstanding; oranges are ORANGE, blacks are BLACK, blues are BLUE, reds are RED, etc... Detail in the photos is also great. I don't really know how to describe detail but I will try. Ex) Took a photo of a person holding a Cheeto. The person's face, clothes, Cheeto bag, and Cheeto were all extremely crisp and well defined. The photos I took that achieved this image quality was on a moderately cloudy day with plenty of light. ISO was set at 80 and white balance was on Auto resulting in the camera using an exposure time of 1/1600th of a second and an F-stop of f/3. Jacked the ISO up and took some pictures at ISO of 400, 800. Well, I'll just say that you should never use an ISO of 800 or more on this camera unless you have a program to remove all of the noise. Even at an ISO of 400 there will be plenty of noise to be concerned about. Also, even if you have a program to remove the noise you will lose most if not all of the sharpness/crispness of the photo. (Neat Image works pretty well to remove the noise)



Second -- Ease of use. Well, this is purely opinion so I won't elaborate. Since I own two other Olympus cameras I found the menus to be well thought out and easy to navigate. Much better than my 4 year old SP-550UZ and my 4 year old E-410. I really like how when given the option to change the Exposure Compensation and the White Balance it has a real time view of the current setting along with a real time view of the other settings right next to the current setting. That's just pretty sweet! Body is very nice and small. Great pocket camera.



Third -- Video quality. Wow, just wow. In a bad way. 720p HD video at 30fps. Sounds pretty cool. But no, it really isn't on this camera. As a previous reviewer mentioned; yes, the colors were there. The quality was atrocious though. I'm on a college track and field team and we videotape each other usually using my SP-550UZ. Decided to try this camera due to the 'HD'. Just downloaded the videos, so much "noise" within the video itself. Not sound noise but just artifacts within the video. My blues are blue and so on but the quality of the "video picture" makes the video basically unusable. This was on a bright sunny day. Looks like it was a lower resolution video just unconverted by the camera itself to 720p. Not good. But, I bought this camera to take pictures, not video so I will only knock a single star off for this inconvenience.



Fourth -- Performance. Right around 1 second from power button to ready to take a picture. Nice. Focus was much better than I expected; thus it was very fast for a point and shoot camera. Once you start zooming in focus will start to take a little longer but this is understandable. Zooming is pretty fast. Really like how you can change the Auto Focus Mode to AF Tracking. Position it on the subject, press OK, and the camera will do it's best to continually keep the object in focus. Pretty neat. Position of the flash = horrible. That is right where your finger goes so be careful. Outside in bright sunlight the screen works remarkably well. Still pretty crisp and vibrant and not too washed out. Very easy to use outside and achieve great photos, inside will be difficult due to keeping the ISO down. This is where you would use the flash, which seems to work pretty good resulting in decent pictures. Image stabilization works, not much to elaborate on here. Works pretty good taking action shots, wouldn't buy it just to take action shots but it works.



And lastly just my 2 cents. Even knowing these faults I believe that I would buy this camera again, there would be a slight hesitation but I would buy it. I was looking forward to the HD video but all's that I wanted was a point and shoot pocket camera with a nice zoom lens. Which the VR-320 fulfills very nicely. I am a very experienced photographer and always shoot in full manual. Going from being able to adjust everything to only being able to adjust the ISO, White Balance, and Exposure is not fun but this is a point and shoot camera - period. Truthfully, it's kind of fun just taking this out and taking a picture that you know will be good! Hopefully this will help you make a decision as to whether or not you will purchase this camera. We all have different needs and wants and this camera fit what I needed and mostly of what I wanted.

The quality isn't that great but the price is. It works and there are a lot of pockets that I use for my earrings. The hanger part of the organizer isn't connected to the organizer, it is just pulled through a hole at the top (it is removable) so it is not as stable as I'd like it to be but for the money, I would definitely recommend it. Mini-usb To Micro-usb Adapters - adapter, micro usb

I have a number of Mini USB cables that weren't seeing much use. I recently purchased an HTC Incredible (Micro USB) and found myself needing extra charging cables so I wouldn't have to constantly unplug/plug and carry around cables to work/home/elsewhere. These adapters allowed me to use the Mini USB cables I already had. I leave one at work, one by my desktop, one near the couch where my netbook sits, and one in my car. The added bonus of using the adapter is I can take it off and connect the Mini to a device that requires a Mini (my MP3 player and digital camera). This is not a true USB adapter since there are no wires connecting the data pins. The result is that you can use it to charge but it will not work for data transfer.



I tried it on an LG and a Nokia phone. The charge function worked on both. The data function worked on neither. I then snapped open the case of the adapter and, lo and behold, inside were just two wires connecting the voltage pins from one side to the other. The data pins had no wires at all.



The data function has worked worked for some people, so it appears not everyone is receiving the same item.



If you need a true USB adapter, look elsewhere as you don't know what you'll end up getting.



If all you need is a charging adapter, you may also want to look elsewhere as this one is cheaply made and doesn't look like it will last very long.

I received 2 of these adapters on March 16, 2011. I checked both of them and confirmed that they were for charging only. I opened them up to look at the wiring and only power and ground wires were there. The micro USB plug does not have the data pins sticking out to even soldering data wires.



The older reviews that stated the adapters worked for data transfer must had been different adapters. The product description of "Micro USB To Mini USB 2.0 M/f Adapter" is misleading for not disclosing the details.



Do NOT buy this adapter if you plan to use for data transfer.

Don't buy this if you're looking for an adapter for a data cable. This one works great, but only for charging. Motorola makes a charger and data adapter you can get from Amazon for $3.00 if that's what you're looking for.

I got this product because I have a lot of mini USB chargers that predate my new phone. It is a simple product but badly executed. The micro usb/male end is an extremely tight fit to my phone and with repeated use I notice that other cables no longer make good contact with the phone when charging or tranferring data. The tight-fitting adapter effectively expands your phone's micro usb port making charging with better fitting cables impossible. Not recommended.

My Blackberry curve mini USB connector broke inside the unit. I have tons of accessories for the curve (e.g. chargers, tether cables). I replaced the curve with a bold that uses a micro USB connector. I purchased 10 of these adapters and now can convert mini USB to micro USB. It saved me a considerable expense. These adapters have worked flawlessly.

I bought 5 of these adapters, since they were so cheap. Unfortunately on 1 of 5 (20% of my total purchase) worked. I was planning on leaving some at work, car, office, latptop bag, etc. so that I could just use one cord for USB Hard drive storage and for phone charging, wherever I'm at. They are cheaply made, and the single one that DID actually work, I had to superglue together, since they're just snapped together with cheap plastic; it kept coming apart whenever there was even the smallest bit of pressure on either end. Stay away from these.

I bought this knowing that it JUST works CHARGING a product from a USB charger. It does this job fine and I am very happy with the performance. It allowed me to use several AC (Wall-wart) chargers and Automotive 12v to 5v USB cables with newer USB products. I bought many of these so I would have spares as necessary. I am a voluteer with the Miracle League in El Paso, Tx. At work we have a program to create trading cards for the kids. After I made the cards I was debating between laminating them or buying the card sleeves. I decided to go with the card sleeves, and they work perfectly. For the price you can not go wrong. Once I run out I will get more to protect my own collecting of cards. Perhaps I did not understand that "extra thick" card sleeves does NOT mean the plastic is extra thick. Quite honestly, they are so flimsy, I consider them useless. The plastic has more of a film-like thickness, not very protective.'

These diapers are great - the sizing is accurate and they work really well. The elastic is not too loose or too tight, but the diapers contain the solid mess well. Parents should be aware that ALL reusable swim diapers (or at least all that I have found) allow the liquids to pass through and contains the solid matter. My daughter likes these ALOT more than disposable swim diapers - if we tryt o put a disposable on her when traveling she gets upset and says - "no, no,no - I want white diaper" (these)!!!

My daughter had an 8 week swim class. This swim diaper worked like a charm. I was nervous about the white, thinking it may discolor in the pool or if it got dirty. It never discolored and if my daughter had an accident the diaper held up great. She used it once or twice a week for 8 weeks and it still looks like brand new. This product saved me tons of money and I will be buying more next summer.iPlay White Ultimate Swim Diaper, White

Soaking in soap and water alone did not rid this diaper of it's smell after 1st use. As directed I did not use bleach but rather washed it using the sterilize hot water setting on my washer. It was back to new after that. I would recommend this product but advise to wash quickly after use and in hot water.

This is the second iplay swim diaper I have purchased for my son. I love them. I was pleasantly surprised that the company changed the design slightly with the snaps on the side for easier on and off. Iplay swim diapers hold everything in. Yes, the older style (without the snaps) are messy to remove if the child poops in it. The diapers hold up so well though. My son wears them at our local Y (so a high chlorine level in the water) and I machine wash the diaper as soon as we get home. These diapers are worth the money (about the cost of one pack of disposable swim diapers). I feel they run true to size - my son wears a 24 month pant and the XL fits perfectly.

I am so happy with this swim diaper; the seams and fabric and elastic are all very high quality. Probably the nicest one we own! I would probably like colors or prints better, but eh, it just goes underneath the swimsuit, right?

I got the X-large size for my 10 month old and so far we've only used it 5 or so times. It fits great, is easy to put on, and fits under his regular swimsuit. As for functionality, he once peed before going into the pool, and it did hold it. We've never tested it on number 2 yet.

My son is now 2 years old and has been wearing Iplay swim diapers since he was 4 months old and I took him swimming for the first time. I recently purchased our third swim diaper in an XL (24 months). I love everything about the Iplay swim diapers, and have had no need to try another brand. They fit great, run true to size, hold everything, and are very affordable. I was looking at other brands recently because I was concerned about the lack of snaps/velcro and having to pull the diaper down on a squirmy 2 year old in case of a mess. However, I was pleasantly surprised that Iplay has improved their diaper by adding snaps on the side. Now the swim diaper is absolutely perfect. :) - Swim Diaper - Samantha - Swim Diapers'
