This TV is absolutely stunning. I was actually waiting for the C9000 to come out, but that TV's price is way over the limit. I found out that this TV which is the next step down and actually has the exact same technology as the C9000 minus the touchscreen remote (which can be bought seperately) and the slim profile, not a big deal considering the TV already looks beautiful and is half the price or less then a C9000!



In all honesty, I think this TV has one of the nicest pictures I've ever seen. One example is the pin-point dimming, which has garnered a lot of criticsm and skeptisism. I have seen the production TV model live and I must tell you, I think it's better then local-dimming and I'll tell you why... Unless there is a new panel that is made to fix the local-dimming "halo affect", this is currently the only way to get outradgeous contrast levels without that problem. The pin-point dimming on this TV dramatically lowers the dark spots on the screen in certain area's without a halo affect and actually goes completely pitch black when watching movies with dark screens just like a local-dimming TV. I think this TV actually excels at the dimming part over a local-dimming TV because it creates supurb black levels without any halo affects. That's a huge deal for me. Next is the color accuracy of this panel, I think the whites and colors on this TV are probably better then I've ever seen. Sure Plasma's can sometimes have better color temperatures, but they will not pop out of the screen with ambience like this TV shows. This TV is sharp looking and beautiful and it displays wonderful 3D and High-definition like never before.



Last, but not least... this tv is LOADED with features, easily making it one of the most feature rich TV's there is on the market. It's completely wireless, has 4-hdmi conenctions, has internet applications and streaming capabilities and best yet, it does it well! I have done a lot of research and have compared this TV with it's newest competitors and this one is it. I just got the TV a couple of weeks a go and decided to post my first review ever on Amazon, as well this is the largest purchase I've made. This is my first LCD purchase in a while, I've had a Pioneer Plasma that I've loved forever, but just moved to Boston and left the Pioneer back home. The picture is extremly clear, almost too clear, sometimes I feel like the TV shows are live action TV, which takes a bit to get used too. The features seem great. I read through some of the comments, I'm pretty sure the C8000 doesn't have WIFI, as it wasn't an option, but I had ethernet right behind the TV so I didn't dig super deep. The Internet options are great, can't wait to try netflix out. The Yahoo gadget bar is cool and the Internet TV seem great, first time I've had these options on a TV.



I watched the masters in 3D, pretty cool, but your eyes get tired pretty quick, active 3D makes your eyes work more than passive 3d IMHO. I'm stuck with crappy comcast in my new building, so no 1080P coming through for other channels. I did the 3D combo and got monsters vs aliens. Wife and I watched a bit of it to check out the 3D. Way better quality than the Masters in 3D, but to be honest when I remember watching HDTV for the first time versus Standard TV, that leap was way bigger than from HDTV to 3DTV, maybe when more content comes out. I was hoping to get Avatar 3D, but those jerks are going to wait a year before releasing it. But atleast Comcast has the 3D Channel, maybe they will do more events in the future.



TV is beautiful, nice and thin. One comment about the C9000 it won't support the pin-point dimming, so the C8000 is Samsungs best picture TV. That touchscreen remote can be purchased, but it won't allow you to watch TV on the remote with the C8000 like the C9000 does.



Setup was simple, haven't really dug deep into the features. Sound is OK, but then again I'm used to my home theatre. Does extremely well with the glare and I haven't mounted it on the wall and I'm using the standard stand, comes in handy to turn it slighty to get the glare from the sun out of the picture.



One more thing the 3D mode has some ghosting, I wonder if that will be fixed over time. I do think it is worse when your eyes get tired though. I don't mind the glasses, but I wouldn't wear them in public ;-)



If you are getting a new TV, go for this one, don't be put off by the 3D as a gimic, all TVs are going to ship with them, I don't think you are paying a premimum for the HD. I still love my Pioneer Plasma, the thing is 6 years old and still has a great picture, but this is way better than the two Sharp LCDs I own, espicially the one I dropped and broke the screen on.

Being an electronics buff, I hold a high standard to quality. This Samsung UN46C8000 is amazing. Picture quality is the best I have ever seen. From the quality remote to the stand this television is the set for you. After it was programmed and user preferences were set, the first HD channel was a golf tournament on Golf Channel HD. Truely breath taking!!! My other HD sets are Plasma ranging from 58 to 32 inches. This is the first LED television I have owned. Being one inch thick, weighing in at 55 lbs it was very easy to handle. The picture quality on non 3D broadcast makes it look like a modified 3D. I have never seen anything like it. My wife who could not care the least about technology, was very impressed with the picture quality.

Amazon made the purchasing experience painless with no sales tax and inside delivery. The delivery staff unbox your television, plug it in to make sure it works and are friendly to boot. Last but not least, you will be very impressed. I am very impressed with this next generation of quality. Samsung you definitely got this one right!!!!

All of the above comments are still true. I have watched my first 3D movie with the glasses and everything worked perfectly. 3D makes movie watching a whole different experience. Only one major problem...Other than the 3D movie that came with the free Samsung glasses, there are no other choices to purchase. 3D Blu-ray technology has not caught up with the 3D televisions. ESPN 3D debuts in June on Directv. The All Star game will be telecast in 3D and the College Football National Championship game will be in 3D. The television had software update available at the Samsung website. It was easy to update. The television was manufactured on March 30, 2010 and the software upgrade was available on April 15. I'm 5'10 and have a 34" inseam and these pants are perfect. Even after I washed AND dried them they didn't shrink up like nearly every single one of my other yoga pants have done. I liked these pants so much I went back and got a second pair. I bought my usual size. The flare at the bottom is flattering, makes them look like pants more than leggings. I like how they are a close fit on the thighs, not as baggy as sweatpants. I wear these hiking as well as for yoga

These are nice yoga pants. The fabric is thinner than my Danskin yoga pants, but not too thin. Do check the sizing chart for this item, though. According the chart, a Small is a 2/4 and a Medium is a 6/8, which is different from most manufacturers. I am 5'11", 135 lbs, and usually a size 6. I bought the mediums and they fit fine, including the length, but I definitely wouldn't want them any smaller. I suggest ordering one size up, and if you are between sizes, I'd go up another size rather than down.

I read the reviews about these and was worried about them running a bit snug and being long, but I decided to order them anyone because of all of the positive reviews about the fabric and the comfort. I have to say that I am not disappointed.



I bought these in black and as soon as I opened them I could see why everyone loves them! They are a heavy weight knit that has a lot of stretch. The fit is snug, but it's a good snug that I think makes the pants look and feel great, like the hug your body but don't restrict movement. The thing I like most is that the material doesn't stretch and feel loose like other yoga pants have in the past.



I'm 5'7" and wear a size 8/10 right now. I bought these in a large rather than the medium I usually wear in yoga pants (because yoga pants are generally loose) and they are the perfect size for me though they are a bit long. I like a 33" inseam because I like my pants to dust the ground when I'm wearing my shoes (34" if I'm wearing heels). These fit like a 34" inseam though I haven't measured them and the description says 31" for a medium. The length doesn't really bother me at all with shoes on, though if I am wearing them for working out with bare feet I try to be aware of whether or not I am standing on them if I need traction. So far, this hasn't been an issue in yoga / pilates classes. For those who are shorter than I am, I would say that if you are willing to have them tailored, they are worth it. If not, you will likely be unhappy with the product.



I have already ordered a second pair in navy and expect to be buying more in the future.

ordered these for gym pants. Nice length. I am 5'5" but have to buy things for someone who is 5'7", because I have long legs, and these were perfect. The material is thin though, we shall see how long they last.

I gave this product 4 stars because the pants are clearly very high quality and durable. I'm just not sure they're very true to size. At 5'4" and 118 lbs, a size small should fit great, but sheesh, are these things SNUG! I'd advise to be wary of drying them till you've tried them on and see how they fit on you. I figure if I hang these to dry I can use them. A bit of an inconvenience, but the pants seem to be really durable, so I'll deal with it. - Fitness - Yoga Pants'

I though I finally found an alarm clock that had all the features I wanted:

Dual alarm

Weekend/weekday

Projection

Two axis projection rotation (so you can project on wall or ceiling)

Projection in red (so it's not too bright like blue)

Decent design



And then, I find out that the projection turns itself off after 10 hours! Why? What's the point? Why would I want the projection to be off after 10 hours? If I want it off, I would turn it off! The whole point is to see the time by just opening your eyes. Now I have to turn the damn thing on every time before I go to bed. And if I forget, I have to turn around, press the button and then see the time. Again, what's the point?!



And if this is to save energy, the life of the LED or reduce heat dissipation, can't you coordinate the projection off with the time of day? There is a built-in clock righ there!



Also, the Alarm Off button is burried in a row of 9 identical buttons. Couldn't you put a dimple on the damn thing so I know which button to push without having to look it up every morning? The product is good, the dual alarm works perfectly and the reception of the radion is excellent. The bird singing alarm is great too. The only drawback is the projection not strong enough. At complete darkness works perfectly well but if there is a bit of daylight i.e. after 7:00 in the morning, you can hardly see the projection unless you cover the windows with thick curtain

I really want to LOVE this alarm clock.



It has everything I need and a few things I didn't know I needed but really like:

- An adjustable projector that looks great on the ceiling or the wall at any angle

- Back-up battery so I can move it around the room without loosing my alarm settings

- Automatically sets time (you just have to tell it what time zone) and adjusts for daylight savings

- Alarm starts as a light beep that slowly intensifies as it goes unchecked (nice as it's not jolting me out of bed first thing, but won't let me ignore it either)

- Projector has an indicator that shows if the alarm is on or not

- Snooze button adjusts snooze time from 10 minutes to 60 minutes quickly and easily (nice for those foggy, not quite ready to get up yet mornings)

- SUPER SLEEK looking, this clock is beautiful and feels very nice. The clock display light is a pretty blue that is adjustable between bright, sorta bright and off. This is good as the pretty bright blue light (while pretty) will shine right through your lids.



A few things that I don't really like:

- I don't use the radio and the antenna cord is pretty long and messy looking. Maybe I just haven't figured out where it's supposed to go though? The MP3 cable fits nicely away into a hollow under the clock, surely this one does too?

- The reset alarm button is in the middle of a bunch of other identical buttons which can make it hard to find in the morning(especially if it's still dark!). Solved this problem with a bit of clear nail polish on the button, but a bump or some other identifying feature would be nice.



But what really irritates me about this clock?

The 10 hour limit on the projector light.. This drives me nuts! I would sincerely appreciate if some tech savvy individual figures out how to disable this feature and post their finds, as I would really prefer it stayed on all the time. My husband and I sleep at different hours and if I turn the projector on when I go to bed, it has turned itself off before he is out of bed. Seriously frustrating having to get up to press the projector button all the time. I thought we bought a projector clock so we -wouldn't- have to get up to see the time..



That said, while it feels silly having to turn the projector on each night and morning, I still love the clock. All the good stuff outweighs remembering to press the button, but I would have given it a five if it had the option to disable that 10 hour projector limit.

The display lighting is pretty both on the clock face and the ceiling projection. At night, you can turn the face light off for a dark room and the ceiling display stays crisp and clear.



Two big problems with this clock:

1. They put a 10 hour timer on the projection then it will turn itself off.

2. The thing between the numbers on the ceiling display BINKS! This is not a calming thing to look at!



I wish they would take away the blinking and the 10 hour time limit. It would be nice is the room temperature would also be on the ceiling display.



Came back to add a few things after using the clock a few nights. The numbers in the display face should be a bit more defined and you can't even see the temperature numbers unless you are pretty close.



The speaker sound quality should be better from a product with the name "Sony" on it. Shame, shame!



The soothing sounds would be super fantastic if the speakers were better quality and for heavens sake... KILL the seagulls screaming in the ocean wave sound will ya? It's suppose to be night time and we are suppose to be sleeping! Birds are suppose to sleep at night! If a bird starts singing around my house at night I'm outside throwing rocks at the tree~! Please! Just give me calming, ocean waves without the screaming birds? Because the speakers aren't that great, the rain sounds like hissing. The "under water" sound is ok so that's the one I use.



I would be willing to pay good money if someone would invent the perfect projection clock with quality, soothing sounds to help me be able to sleep.

This is a great radio alarm clock. It is small, silver and sleek. The time projection is clear and you can project the beam on the ceiling or a wall. Lots of features and good radio reception. The only thing that could be better is that there are some controls that are a bit awkward. I would buy this clock for anyone. I loved these socks until they wore on the bottom of my foot where the stripe is. The stripe is thinner material than the plush sock. Bad design. All of the socks in the set are slowly wearing the same way. adidas Women's Cushioned Var 3-Pack Low Cut Sock, Black/White, Shoe Size (5-10)

These socks fit and felt great the first time i wore them. After a few times through the laundry, they have developed these very annoying little bumps on the inside of the heels. They now hurt when I wear them to run in, they are very rough. Terrible materials. I will have to throw them out.

I didn't have any problems with these socks. They fit comfy and are holding up well - much better than I expected for 4 bucks! I didn't have any of the issues that the other reviewers had. The band in the center is an arch support band and is quite comfortable. I prefer socks with the center band - they just seem more comfortable to me.The heel and toe are thicker material than the band, but the band is not wearing out or wearing thin or anything like that. Most socks with the center band are made this way - the band is a different material type or thickness/type of knit.My daughters use these for sports and they are holding up very well to vigorous wear and being washed often in bleach etc. I use them for just regular everyday socks and I like them. They are comfy. Not loose on the foot and not too tight. They are soft and breathable. I needed 2 handsets and an answering machine. After a little online research, I chose this phone. It has lived up to its promise. It was easy to set up, the reception is great throughout the house, and the answering machine part is great too. The sleek design makes it a little tough to prop the phone between the shoulder and ear for a hands free call. I haven't used many of the extra features (like storing phone numbers in the phone), but the little screen is easy to read, and the options menu is easy to navigate. It's a great phone. I bought this phone for my home office. It has several features that I really like.



-Unlike my last phone, the speaker button turns on and off the speaker phone option.

-It has a mute button which is very helpful for teleconferences.

-It does have a directory, so numbers can be added.

-The batteries in the handsets have a very long charge. So a 2-3 hour call is not a problem.

-I can switch handsets if one runs out of power. If a handset runs out of power, I only have a couple of minutes to find the other handset. So speed is of the essence.

-One option I find lacking is that this phone does not have a night mode where it can be set to automatically turn off the ringer at night.

-Sound quality is good.

-This phone does allow you to select from a set of ringers so it can have a unique ring. I find this helpful in identifying whether it is my house phone or business phone that is ringing.



Overall this phone has been a good choice.

Storing a lot of numbers is nice, and the sound was the best for me out of any cordless phones I have had. I have had problems with other newer phones interferring with my wireless internet router, but not this one. I have a solid dial tone and lighting fast dialing. The intercom feature is great too, now I don't have to yell upstairs to call the kids down.

This is a good, little phone for the price. It has many great features, and the sound quality is good. It's also very neat looking, and it is especially convenient to have the second unit elsewhere in the house.

I feel dreadfully old fashioned for being a landline hold out but if you're looking at this phone, you are too.

This has all the features I needed in a phone.It's cordless, it has an answering machine which is just more convenient for me than voicemail because I can screen calls even if the caller id is blocked, and it has 2 handsets. One of them I keep in my bedroom which doesn't have an outlet on the charger in there, the other one is in the living room.

The volume for the ringers are very easy to set and can be set loudly enough to wake up even the soundest sleeper.

The battery time is decent. It has to be. I have a bad habit of forgetting to put the phone back in the charger. The screens and the buttons are all easy to see and use.

We've had this two-pack for a few months now and both handsets work very well. It's nice having the second set where we don't have to get up while watching tv to check the caller ID. Battery life so far has been good as has sound quality. The menu system for making custom adjustments is pretty straightforward. I do wish that there were some better choices for ring tones. Most are obnoxious but at least we have the volume turned way down. The answerer works well and is very easy to use. Overall, at this point I would buy this product again.

We needed to replace a wall mounted unit with voice recording and two hand sets. This ATT unit met our expectations. The set up was easy, the hand sets are weighty enough and we can talk from our patio, about 50' from the base unit.

I've investigated and read about all what's out there and it looks like nothing is made very well any more. There is just junk to choose from.



I like the larger buttons that are easy to press. There are about 5 or 6 ring styles and the volume can be changed anywhere from lowest to highest. However the sound is not that good as they say. Maybe compared to others it might be better, but overall it's not great. You have to put your ear perectly to the phone or you might not hear well, and the recorded outgoing message voice sounds distorted to the callers. Oh, and getting to even record an outgoing message can be tricky to find on the menu. The battery could last longer too; just 4 days stand-by (no use) is not very good. Also, stored telephone numbers have to be programmed seperately into each handset as there is no way to send info from one hanset to the other. No speed-dial, but that's not a big deal to me.



So the only good thing that the new phones have that the old ones didn't is that they don't get interference from other electronics in the home. But otherwise, like everything else, the quality is less and less... - Answering Machine - Att Phone - Speakerphone - Dect Cordless Phone'

Best Finish Nailer

I posted this review over in the Hitachi MA2 version, a long standing favorite amongst the pros. I wanted to post it here as well considering it really is about the MA4. Here it is.



I've done/doing some professional woodworking and have a lifetime of experience. In air driven nailers I have Porter Cables upholstery stapler, their 23 gauge pin nailer, an 18 gauge, two of their 16 gauge nailers. I impulsively bought the Bostitch after reading the first page reviews, and then spent a couple of hours researching the Hitachi vs. the Bostitch. After comparing, this is what I found.



A lot of people are jumping on the Bostitch band wagon because it is the lightest at 3.8 pounds, it is dry as in no oil, and it has class leading 400 inch pounds of power. I was dazzled and bought right away. After digging deeper, I am refusing the Bostitch and getting the Hitachi. They both have the "durable composite magazine" (plastic) that holds the nails. The Hitachi with its aluminum housing only weighs .4 pounds more as in 4.2 instead of 3.8. That extra .4 is not going to make a difference. The oil issue is seemingly an advantage in that the Bostitch runs dry, but my other nailers are all oiled, and all I do is drive 2 or 3 nails into a piece of scrap to blow out the excess oil when first putting a couple of drops in the gun, and the rest of the time it is dry. Also the 400 pounds of torque is not an issue because the 15 gauge nailers have tons of power as compared to the 16 gauge, so much so that a small difference in power is irrelevant. When I borrowed a PC 15 gauge and first fired it, it went off with a POW instead of a pop like the 16. Substantially more power resulted in me being able to drive the nails into the tongue side of a 7/8" board deep enough that I didn't have to get out my center punch and tap it in the rest of the way; it drove deep and flush on the first try every time after setting it properly.



I am concerned about the many reviews that appear mostly all on the secondary pages on the Bostitch about having driver failure problems. Professionals who hit nails when driving a nail complain of having to go back and spend $35 to have the driver replaced every time they do. On the other hand the Hitachi has a ton of reviews many from deeply seasoned pro's that use it daily, for years, and never had a hiccup, other than an occasional, easily correctable nail jam. I'm using this right away on driving nails into crown moldings in a circa 1955 house with plaster walls, and the corners are all strengthened with lath wire so it is probable that I will be hitting metal more than just a few times. I don't want to worry about having to send it back to the shop to replace a driver every time I do.



This Hitachi NT65MA2 15 gauge has been updated twice. The 3 was out before in a lime green, and now the new item is the same model with a 4, as in NT65MA4. It has the same layout, but a slightly different look with the same industrial feel to it, and it is not lime green or gray, but silver. It appears that the main body is also a little bit larger.

The Bostitch is a fine tool but you will notice that the home hobbyist is praising it more and the pro's are booing it more. All you have to do is look down the review results and you will see the Bostitch has a wide spread review base with a liberal amount of 3's, 2's, and 1's as well as the 4's and 5's. The Hitachi is mostly 5's, and some 4's with no 3's, 2's, or 1's at all. That's quite a drastic difference. With reviews going all the way back to 2004 that is quite a lot of time for someone to hate the tool, and nobody does.



I wanted to say that the MA4 is only available at the time of writing this review through an Amazon merchant and not an Amazon in stock item, but I am sure Amazon will be picking it up directly soon. That was another decision I had to make. Do I buy the older tried and true, super reviewed MA2 model, or go for the newest version from Hitachi and get the MA4. After speaking to the rep he mentioned that it was the same industrial grade piece of equipment as the MA2 so I went for it. The body of the MA4 is even a little beefier.



Now onto the Hitachi and some of the things I love about it. First off it has an air blowing feature. You may think that is trivial, but it is a great feature that everyone is raving about. When I bought my Bosch jig saw it had an air blowing line that would remove the dust from where the blade meets the wood so you can see the line. After using lesser jig saws and not being able to see the line due to instant dust buildup, that was quite an improvement, so I am partial to air blowing capabilities. Even though with a nailer you don't wind up with the same problem, this thing has an air blower that is so strong that you can clean off a large workbench in only a few seconds; it comes in handy. It also has an interesting air input connection that is configured so you can keep the air line out of the way, and suspended in air so it is not so likely to bump into things. The Hitachi also has the continuous firing option whereas the Bostitch has the single firing option only. With continuous firing you can squeeze the trigger, and as fast as you plunge the head into the workpiece it fires repeatedly. You may have seen this feature on guns that are used to place tar paper on the side of buildings. Once up on the ladder they spread out a sheet, and pow, pow, pow. None of this stuff of positioning the gun, depress the nose, and then fire. That is great when you are doing precision work, but when you have larger areas that require multiple shots the multiple fire feature is great.



Nail availability. The Bostitch is the odd man out when it comes to nails in the industry; they only accept Bostitch nails. So Bostitch is proprietary forcing you to buy their nails. The Hitachi accepts the popular standard size from other manufacturers so when you are in the middle of a job you can access them locally, and not have to worry about overstocking everything all of the time. I normally would still prefer to use Hitachi nails in the Hitachi gun just in case but when viewing the ads for B&C Eagle nails they state, "Fits Senco, Hitachi, PC, Rigid, Milwaukee, Makita, Craftsman, Dewalt, and most other 15 gauge angled finish nailers." So you can see that you will never be stuck finding a compatible nail for the Hitachi 15 gauge nailer.



Overall the Bostitch is not a bad gun, but it appears that jams are more frequent after some use, and of course when they occur they bend over and mar the wood. Maybe this feature of having more power may be the reason why the driver gets broken. Combining that with a no oil environment may be the culprit.



I've also seen some pretty high priced Hitachi equipment, and with the discount I was able to purchase it for a price super close to the Bostitch. Bostitch is a good name, but in this case, I like the Hitachi better. Hitachi includes a nice case, and even a pair of safety glasses; nice touch. I just wish they included a small bottle of the oil. Maybe they didn't want to deal with the oil spill creating a mess problems. Oh well, no biggie. The bottom line to me is ease of use with multiple nail driving options and reliability.
