Mens Skeleton Watch - watches, dress watches

I have had this watch for about 2 weeks, and it is even better than I expected. So far, it has kept flawless time, and it is surprisingly easy to read the time for a watch with no numbers on the face. The internal movements are a little more intricate than you can see on the youtube videos of the watch working; there are at least 5 different visibly moving parts, though they're mostly concentrated in the upper-left part of the face. I continuously catch myself staring at it- people must think I'm pretty rude, the way I fixate on it.

It's a little bigger than I expected. This is fine for me, but it's certainly not a discreet watch. Don't get me wrong- it's not huge- but it is a full 44 millimeters across the face. That's about 1.75". It's also about a centimeter (0.4 inches) in height. Reviewers of other skeleton watches have commented on their noise and tend to describe them as loud. This watch is definitely audible in an otherwise silent room, but so far this hasn't been bothersome. I do, however, leave it on my desk when I go to bed. I was apprehensive of buying a wind-up watch, but it only takes about 2 seconds to wind this watch fully each day.

Finally, it's really cool. People sitting next to me will notice it and make me show it to them, and a few days ago a waiter complimented it. It is a very unique looking watch, which is enhanced by not having any numbers or distractions on the face. For this price range, it seems to be the best skeleton watch out there. I am strongly considering buying another one to keep as a backup, in case they ever stop selling them and something happens to mine. Rougois Hand Wind Decorated Skeleton Movement Watch RMS33S

I am a Radiologic Technologist and work with mostly ER and hospitalized patients. My coworkers are very positive with the appearance of the watch and are amazed at the intricacy of the works and how visible they are. I have already had a good comment from one of my ER patients and this is pretty cool considering that this was the first day that I have worn it!

The watch will be a nice conversation starter when I am getting a patient ready for an X-Ray exam since I can make a humorous statement about having a skeleton watch and taking X-Rays that show the inner beauty and workings of the human body. Making a patient feel more at ease is priceless and usually leads to much better and more diagnostically useful X-Ray images!

My only criticism about the watch is that the hour and minute hands have no glowing tips, yet the rotating second hand at the nine-o'clock position on the dial have glowing hands.

Excellent condition, beautiful details. Purchased as a present seeing how I am female. Comes in a jewel stretch plastic display case, so it can sit framed suspended in two layers of plastic. Does make decent noise while running but its not annoying. This can dwarf a decent man hand however. It's so big that unless you've got giant wrists its slightly awkward to see on a guy because its so chunky looking. The size is necessary for all the wonderful details inside so its just up to your own discretion.

I own several watches, but this one is kinda special. It is my first manual wind watch (the rest is automatic), but thus far I like it very much. Because there is always something to complain about and I usually like the bullet point reviews, I will start with the cons and end with the pros in bullet point format.

Cons:

- you have to wind the watch manually on a daily basis, if you are used to automatic watches with a power reserve of 40 hours or more this may be exhausting;

- it is pretty noisy, you hear the ticking of the watch, this may be bothersome in libraries or other places where silence is of the essence;

- the crown is rather big for the watch, I'd rather see a smaller crown but that's just my personal taste probably;

- the watch comes with a tang buckle instead of a deployment clasp, I like the latter better (ordered one from Amazon as well for USD 20);

- has no date;

- has no illimunated parts

Pros:

- the winding of the watch is very simple, just turn the crown approx. 15 times and you watch will be working all day;

- you will get a lot of compliments because it is a very nice skeleton watch;

Conclusion:

Although I listed quite some cons, the overall conclusion from my perspective is very positive: you will have a good working and beautiful watch for under USD 175, a bargain.

I own several automatic watches (Breitling, IWC Big Pilot, Rolex), and this is my first manual (hand wind) watch. It looks so elegant! It's very comfortable and you won't feel that you're wearing a watch.

I agree with everything other reviewers said, except for 1 thing:

THE TICKING SOUND IS LOUD!! It's not quiet at all! I put it in its box every night because I can't sleep. And this is normal, because it's a skeleton watch and manual watches tend to produce a higher ticking sound than automatic watches.

It's very accurate, I've had it for 5 days and it's still in sync with my phone!

I believe that buying an inexpensive AUTOMATIC/MANUAL watch means headaches, that's because usually a good quality watch movement is relatively expensive! BUT I like the fact that it doesn't display the date and it's a MANUAL watch, so the movement tend to be very simple (it doesn't have chrono, perpetual, etc...), thus the watch will probably live for a longer period of time!

Winding the watch is very easy, you don't need to pull the winder or anything, just rotate it clockwise while it's all the way shut.

I like the fact that you can see the power reserve (remaining time before it dies) on the dial.

Note: People have already asked me to see the watch and they loved it :)!

I highly recommend that watch!! - Mens Skeleton Watch - Dress Watches - Watches - Manual'

Woodworking - dust, filter

I have always used the cheap rubberband style face masks when I needed filtration from my woodworking endeavors and until recently thought that was enough. I watched a good little video from Marc Spagnolo ([...]) on the importance of properly stopping the dust from entering your lungs and was convinced I needed to upgrade. With his recommendations I went to the local Blue home improvement store and tried on both the 7500 series and 6500 series of mask. There is no comparision to how much more comfortable the 7500 series are. This particular item won't come with and cartidges or filters so you'll have to go down to the local Blue home store and pick them up or order them with your purchase of the mask. Also the Blue store only had medium and I felt they were a little small(although a proper fit was obtained with the medium). I ordered the large and am happy I did. Additionally the downfiring exhaust is awsome. I didn't once get a safety glass fog up.

As a side note If you don't order the cartidges with your purchase of the mask I recommend going 1 of two different ways.

1. Either purchase the standard organic filter (3M R6022 Organic Vapor Cartridge/Filter) which will cover most of your household needs and then additionally purchase the filter adaptor(3M #502 RESPIRATOR FILTER ADAPTER 2/PKG) and P100 filters (3M R-2091 Particulate Filter P100, 4-Pack). The standard particulate filter that comes with the organic filter is only rated to P95. For woodworking it's highly recommended that you go with a p100 filter better safe I always say!

2. Your other option is to purchase the organic vapor/acid gas/p100 filter (P100 / Organic Vapor / Acid Gas, 3M 6000 Series Cartridges, Pink/Yellow (2 Per Package)) and get total coverage for anything you'll ever expereince in the household environment.

I would for sure purchase this system again and If I need a filter for the wife I'll be buying one for her as well. 3M 7500 Series Reusable Half-Facepiece; Model 7503; Size: Large

I have found this to be a great product. It fits well, does not fog up my glasses and is comfortable for long periods of time. If you are just using it for protection from dust you will need 3M 2097 or 2091 filters.

The only complaint is that I had trouble finding the dust filters locally.

The 3M-7503 is their size large and fits me very well, but my hat size is XL.

I use 3M's 2097 filters, which are recommended for mold remediation

(with their full face mask).

While doing yard work,

I have been using disposable paper dust masks,

which fogged my eyeglasses with every exhalation.

By the end of a session, my eyes would be burning,

and I would be sneezing and could barely wait to remove the mask.

Thanks to 2097 filtration and the 7503's the good fit and exhaust valve,

I was almost reluctant to remove it after a longer than usual yard session.

Noted drawbacks: mild plastic odor and moisture accumulation inside

the mask and masked facial area, so regular rinsing and cleaning are wanted.

3M now offers lower restriction filters, but they are not widely available,

and I do not find the 2097 filters objectionably restrictive.

This respirator was recommended to me by Marc Spagnolo (aka the "Wood Whisper"). Simply put, the mask does not restrict breathing, is comfortable even over long time periods, and does, as near as I can tell, a first-rate job of protecting my lungs. If you are a woodworker, this is a must have.

I feel stupid for not doing this years ago. I've probably even spent as much on disposable masks as I did on this, and those only annoy me to the point of not using them for very long.

With the correct filters, I feel invincible in this thing! Lately, I've been working 8-hour days in my attic around a lot of insulation, saw dust, and slate dust from a recent roofing job, and I feel totally invincible.

AND - it isn't even uncomfortable. I'm truly surprised.

I bought the large. I am about 6'1", 185 lbs. My head looks normal (I think), but I always need large helmets and hats. The large fits great.

Used in conjunction with 2097 filters to work around sawdust and fiberglass insulation and seems to work quite well. Can finally use my glasses now while working since it exhausts downward. I believe the mid size one might also fit and I'll consider that size if I need to replace since this one does feel like it might be on the verge of being too large depending on how I move my head while working (it stretches causing a slight release of the seal against my face momentarily). Used a 3M white filter over my face prior to this and it was a pain to use since it didn't seal well and it allowed air to exhaust up into my glasses.

This is a great mask. I use it for Painting all sorts of automotive and aircraft paints and its perfect. It seals nicely to your face and is comfortable for long periods. I bought a large i am 6ft with an athelitic build if you are smaller in stature I would get a medium. Dont forget to buy filters.

My previous mask was the 3M 6000 series. Below are some differences I noticed:

6000 series:

-appears to be made of nitrile rubber and has a stronger odor when new

-uses rubber valves that can warp over time, especially if exposed to heat or sunlight

-elastic band can become stretched over time, requiring adjustment

7000 series:

-made of silicone which has little odor when new

-larger intake and exhaust valves make it a bit easier to breathe

-valves are made of silicone and less likely to warp

-thicker elastic band does not stretch

Neither mask (large) fits my long, narrow face particularly well, but my guess is the softer silicone would fit more comfortably and provide a better seal for most. I use this mask with either the 3M P100 particulate filters or 3M R6001 organic vapor filters. The mask work very well with either filter. - 3m Respirator - Filter - Respirator - Dust'

Dvd Writer - external drive, acer

I bought 3 Acer Aspire One computers as Christmas presents this year and needed at least 1 external drive to share between them. 2 of the computers had Windows 7 Starter as the operating system ansd the other had Windows XP. The drive was basicly plug & play on the XP computer, but would not work on the Windows 7 computers at all. The disc that came with the drive had old drivers on it that didn't include Windows 7. The instruction sheet was of no use at all. There was no manufacturers name or model number on the drive, nothing I could reference any kind of a search with. I downloaded several different codec's but none would operate the drive. Fianally I called Acer for help and found out that they hadden't released any drivers for the Aspire One with Windows 7 Starter. The reason, "Windows 7 is too new, and to keep checking back with them."

The seller of the drive wasn't aware that it was not compatable with Windows 7. I gave it 3 stars overall rating because it did work fine with XP computer. I only gave it 1 star for ease of use and ease of installation because I had so much trouble with it trying to get it to work. I don't think the vender screened the product for compatibility with Windows 7. USB External CD DVD RW Burner Drive For Acer Aspire one

Ok, This is a great little CD-DVD player and burner. it does not required to install any CD it install by it self, true to the Plug and Play :D This DVD Player is able to play CD and DVD without any problems, You can view your DVD with free software like Windows Player or Real player, or with tons of freeware DVD players. It also can burn CD and DVD with free software like Windows, Itunes, Zune or any other free software. The Only bad thing is that this little monster will drain you laptop battery fast when burning a CD and DVD, it takes some power to do. Which its fine. Plus its really small and kinda hard so you can carry it with you.

I'm pleased with it, it's the best you're going to get out of USB 2.0, and it works as well as the drives twice the cost. It looks the same as the $100+ drives too.

It requires either a second USB port, or an external adapter (not included) so factor that in. It's not a criticism (it takes that much power to burn a DVD), it just may not be obvious beforehand. USB 1.x is acceptable for power, if you're using it on a machine that has both types or have a spare "charging" hub. Not surprisingly, it does not play nice with my unpowered hub -- it needs a full 500 mW to each port.

My drive was shipped with no software or drivers and it did NOT come with a DVD decoder. I installed it on an Acer Netbook with Windows XP Home Edition. Initially Windows did not recognize the drive, so I had to uninstall the device using Windows Device Manager and rebooted the computer.

Once I did that Windows successfully installed the drive and I was up and running. However I was not able to play DVDs and had to purchase a $[...] DVD decoder download to play DVDs with Windows Media Player. After that, the drive functioned normally and produced smooth video on my netbook screen. In order to burn CD's and DVD's I believe most computer users will want to buy third-party software which should be considered in the total cost. This bare-bones package includes no disks, no external power supply, no carrying case and scant documentation. More expensive drives include those extras.

To burn disks, the drive requires connections to two USB 2.0 ports to get enough power. Total travel weight of this drive with both cables is 11.6 ounces. The drive is just a fraction of an inch wider and deeper than a DVD or CD and is just thick enough for the drawer to accommodate a disk. If you're looking for one of the least expensive external DVD/CD reader/burners you can buy, this drive may be just the ticket. However if you need a complete package including movie-making software, DVD decoder, carrying case and external power supply you might want to buy a more expensive drive that includes them in a bundle. That would probably be cheaper than buying this drive and all of those other items separately.

I'm stuck using a little netbook while my desktop is in the shop. But, this little DVD reader/burner hardly makes me miss my desktop at all. It's been great for watching movies, and burning info to CDs and DVDs. It's small enough to take along for travel and road trips if need be. I have NO REGRETS at ALL with this purchase and highly recommend this product!!

I got it for my HP Mini that came with Windows 7. I plugged it in and in under a minute the pop-up said that my device was installed and ready for use.

I popped in a DVD and it wouldn't play. Yikes! one may think, but this is not the fault of the player though; I needed the codec that is easily downloaded from the internet.

The player itself gave me no issues and I would recommend it for the HP Mini w/Windows 7.

I have a netbook, so there is no optical drive. I needed to upload some software plus some music and this drive fit the bill perfectly. It worked as advertised, I plugged it on to the USB and started using it immediately.

In order to watch DVD's I did have to download a DVD decoder, it was Microsoft approved and cost $14.99. It downloaded easily and I was able to test out a few DVD's and they worked fine.

I can't comment on the burn ability, since I would use my desktop computer for that, but I found this a very inexpensive way to get software onto my netbook.

Yes, you save some bucks, some weight, and a lot of battery life by buying a Netbook over a conventional laptop or notebook. But you really need one of these drives. The good thing about getting one external burner like this is that you can bring it with you if you need it; and it can double for so many further uses. This one has no connectivity issues at all. Just plug it in, and you're working. - External Dvd Burner - External Drive - Acer - Netbook'

Shoulder Holster - leg holster, holsters

One word: CHEAP. The 'leather' is practically paper thin. Belt buckle is plastic that is painted silver so the paint will probably be chipping off by the time you get it. And let's not forget to mention, this will NOT comfortably fit a size large woman. You can buy a REAL set of holsters like this for almost the exact same price.. go with that and buy some toy guns to use with it. Mster Lock

I had this winch installed on my Kawasaki ATV along with a plow. I had to buy an additional switch control for the handle bar but it works fine.

Once I got the winch the instructions gave me a phone number to call and get the mounting bracket that matched my 4 wheeler. Simple process.

Nice product for a good price and strong brand, Master Lock. Master Lock 2955AT 1500lb Portable ATV Winch

I bought 2 and use them for opening/closing my shed doors (drawbridge-style). The good: Switch is substantial. The not-so-good: They are S-L-O-W! You'll also need a roller fairlead otherwise an off-center pull can jam the cable between the spool and body.

To make long story short I mounted this on a Suzuki Ozark 250. I was out on some NFD trails in Capital Forest west of Olympia WA. While on a ridge I went around a corner on some loose gravel and slid off the road. Luckily the ATV got hung up on some small trees or it certainly would have rolled down the ridge. I was able to pull the cable from the wench to a tree on the other side of the gravel road and slowly pull the ATV back onto the road. So am I impressed with this product? Words can not describe. If it weren't for that little wench I would have had no other way to get my ATV off the side of the ridge. I'd give it 10 stars if I could. Highly recommended.'

Hanging Straps - ab exercises, hanging straps

Excellent straps..sound , strong construction..the large grommets (feel a little light though) easily fit any chin up bar..very comfortable...Met my expectations and well worth the price. Definitely a Keeper.

A slight amendment to my review..after a month of using these I found that one of the straps had a tear along the side lining.Either the piece was defective or it couldn't take my weight (all of 200 lbs).A Bit disappointing because otherwise it seemed well constructed.I live in India so returning the product is not possible now.

Edited 03/17/08 I complained to Harbinger about the problem I had with the product and to my surprise they actually went to the trouble and expense of shipping a free replacement to me all the way to India . THat is truly awesome customer service and I hope the Ab Straps do give me years of service. Harbinger 371000 Deluxe Ab Straps

These are super-heavy duty, well-constructed. Tons of stitching, I think you could lift a horse in these. The clamps are large and strong, with a sliding lock. Best ones I've ever seen. Fantastic value. Just get 'em.

These are really a very good pair of Ab Straps. They are stong, comfortable and does the job. I recommend this product.

4 stars is because of the price. I bought a door way chinup bar for 30 bucks and these for 40.

I bought the straps with the door pullup bar and both was a good buy.The straps are strong enough and confortable enough to holdup my 200lb body with no problem.I recommend this straps if your thinking about purchasing a set of staps.

These ab straps are very durable and will last for a lifetime. The hooks are very large and will fit over any bar. I have been using mine for over 2 months and am very pleased. Harbinger makes very strong, durable products. I also have their dip belt, which I highly recommend.

These work great for their intended purpose. The strap is wide enough to give plenty of support. I give four stars because the hooks are a bit sloppy although I have no concern over them failing. The hooks are plenty large to fit over the pull up bar on my equipment. My weight is 155 lbs. so I'm not exactly stressing them. - Ab Workout - Ab Straps - Hanging Straps - Ab Exercises'
