Panasonic Phone Battery - panasonic phone battery, panasonic p-104

There is not much to say about this battery pack. If your current Panasonic cordless phone has a PP104 (with a #29 displayed in a black box on the battery) NiMH battery pack then this is the unit you need. I received two of these batteries from Amazon.com in just two days. I had them installed in my cordless phones in just a couple of minutes. I left the phones on the charger overnight and my phones now work flawlessly. I am a little dissapointed that the batteries which came with the Panasonic phones only lasted about a year, but so far these new battery packs have brought new life back to my phones. The cost is fair and the quality seems just as good if not better than the original factory batteries. I know there are after market batteries that are compatible with my phones, and could be used in place of these PP104A units, but I believe in sticking with original equipment. Ordered these batteries for my Panasonic 5.8Ghz phones and found they are worse than the original ones they are replacing. Old batteries lasting 5-7 days before charging with nomal daily usage, these ones last barely 3 before I need to re-charge them. Contacted reseller (As Good As New Electronics) and received extremely poor customer service. Got accused of using 'old and worn' phones - right... Was not even given the option to try another battery. They maybe selling cheaper priced batteries than your local stores, but their poor and prejudicial customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Find another reseller on Amazon. If you can't, pray you get a good battery and hope you don't have to deal with their non-customer service department. Video Game Console

MOVE VS. OTHERS :)

Ever since the launch of Slim, the PS3 has been undertaking a quiet revolution or... could it be the console's midlife crisis? :) Here's what happened recently - and I will only note the more important developments going 12 months back (writing this in Oct., 2010):

- NetFLIX streaming, now disc-less, 1080p, 5.1 surround sound

- Much larger disc (this one is triple the size of the original Slim)

- Move

- 3D gaming

- Blu-ray 3D

This is a lot of new 'stuff' for a 4 year old console. I am not going to go into bean-counting mode and compare the PS3 improvements with what we see at the other guys but, clearly there is a lot of life in the PS3 and a lot of what the PS3 has to offer today - 3D gaming, Blu-ray 3D - either cannot be duplicated or is unlikely to be implemented by other consoles of this generation.

WHAT YOU GET, WHAT YOU MAY NEED

Briefly, this is what you get in with this bundle and I will make it very short because there's a lot of info. at the Amazon page:

- PS3 Slim with...

* 320GB HDD - as far as I know, the largest hard disk a console has ever had. You CAN upgrade it to a 500GB if you want but 320GB should probably be enough. See PS3 Slim reviews for details and features

* Move controller, of course

* PlayStation Eye camera (must have for the Move to work)

* Sports Champions (Ping Pong is simply awesome, some of the games play much better with a second controller)

* A demo disc so you can see what Move can do for you (most of the demos can be downloaded from the PSN)

- DualShock 3 controller (rumble, motion sensitive)

- ONE USB wire mostly to charge the controllers

I marked with asterisks the items that come with the bundle are not included in the Slim 160GB package.

Depending on how you are planning to use the PS3, this is what you don't get but may end up buying eventually:

- HDMI cable for HD output (a component cable should work too but you can get a decent HDMI for $3-5 or so)

- One or more extra USB wires same as above, don't pay more than $2-3 for one

- One more Move Controller (some games will either require two controllers or will play better with two)

- One or two Navigation Controllers (you can use the DualShock in your left hand but it feels weird)

- Dedicated charger, especially if you have more than one Move controller or you also have a Navigation controller

- PS3 TV remote controller to use when watching movies

TO BUNDLE OR NOT TO BUNDLE

We got the bundle because we really needed a fresh console but, it turns out, if you already have a PlayStation 3 Eye camera all you need is the stand-alone Move controller to be able to play Move games. If you don't have the Eye then it's going to cost a little more but the general idea is that it's possible to ease yourself into the Move universe and possibly stop if you feel that the Move is not for you. However, if you get yourself hooked, the odds are that you are going to spend A LOT on extras, eventually - see above.

THE PS3 BUNDLE VS. OTHER OPTIONS

At the time I'm writing this you can get a Move-less, 160 GB PS3 for $100 less. In my view, it's probably worth buying this bundle even if you do NOT want the Move because you should be able to sell your brand-new Move controller ($49), the PS Eye ($30) and the Sports Champions ($40) game and make close to $100 in the process and you will STILL have a console with TWICE the disc capacity.

MY RATING

This bundle is probably the best PS3 deal ever - see my notes on how you could sell the Move stuff if you don't want it and still end up ahead. I've been a PS3 owner ever since the 60GB classic became available and I've been impressed with the PS3's reliability, versatility and its sheer power - and I've owned both 'classic' and 'slim' models, upgraded most, gave away a couple. In the end it's a matter of personal taste but the PS3 is increasingly the most popular 'gaming' or 'entertainment' implement in our household. And we DO own an Xbox too.

I will not go through the long list of PS3's features. It would be an exaggeration to say that it does 'everything' but, in my view, it does a lot more than the competition and it's doing it increasingly well. Agreed, features and capabilities do not come for free and sometimes they don't even come cheap (see my list of possible add-ons above) but I can't say that I have the feeling of being constantly nickeled and dimed when I upgrade my PS3. I will have no choice at this time but to order the extra Move and Motion controller from Sony but the charger, the larger discs I used to upgrade my old classic, all of the cables came or will come from third party vendors and even for the old SixAxis and the remote controller there were alternatives at the time I decided to buy the Sony-made ones. In addition, the 'basic' PS3 console can take you pretty far as it is and you can have a lot of fun without having to spend one extra penny.

To conclude, this bundle gets 5 stars:

- for being chuck-full of 'stuff' (controllers, game, huge hard disc)

- for being the most cost-effective PS3 deal at the time I am writing this (Sep. 17, 2010)

- for the PS3 being the most feature-rich, well-balanced console you can get these days

Aug. 16, 2011 Note:

Quite a lot happened to the PS3 since I posted my review. A week or so ago Netflix became part of a new category named TV/Video Services with Hulu PLUS, Vudu HD Movies, NHL GameCenter Live and MLB.tv. I've had Netflix for quite a while and if Hulu adds a lot of movies show to what I'm getting from Netflix I may say goodbye to my satellite provider. Under the Music tab I can see now Qriocity. I believe there is a 6 months free trial but I'm a Pandora guy so I'm not sure I'll sign up. It's good to know it's there.

Oh and... funny coincidence. I just read that Sony cut $50 of all consoles sold in the US. I paid $499 for my first 60GB PS3 back in 2007 (came with 8 or 10 Blu-ray movies so it wasn't THAT bad a deal) and it's still one of our 2 PS3. Not even a hiccup after 4 years of gaming and movie viewing.

Much better than the Motorola gel case. This fits better, and has a more smooth polished feel. It is still grippy, but doesn't feel like a soft dog toy. The holes are all properly sized and placed.

it provides amazing protection to the XOOM tablet and it feels very glossy and natural in the hands. it barely adds any thickness to the tablet except for the rim on the front. but the rim provides a slightly better grip on the tablet. I would recommend using a screen protector to protect the screen with this total body. all the holes in the case matches perfectly. not one slight imperfection!

I'm glad I bought this skin cover case for my XOOM. It fits nice and snug and does a good job of protecting the tablet. The silicone skin provides a good grip for the tablet that I now feel more comfortable carrying the tablet around. I would still recommend getting a screen protector.

When I received my XOOM I was concerned that it would slip out my hand as the back has a very smooth finish except where the On/Off button and camera are. This case is a perfect fit and the openings for the On/Off button, camera, data cord interfaces and power cord are exactly where they should be and do not interfere with access. And I don't worry about the XOOM slipping out of my hand any more with the silicone finish. It's very comfortable. Another benefit is that I have a HD dock which has two adapters, one for a XOOM without a cover and with a cover. My XOOM with this cover easily and securely fits the dock with the proper adapter.

This product came very fast, which made me very happy. It was easy to install and it looks really nice. I am able to access all the buttons on my Xoom with out any problems... Overall it is a great product.

when i ordered this i was worried about how it would fit my xoom, and if i would still be able to access the volume buttons, but when i got it i went right and put it on my xoom, its great, it fits very well, i can actually use my volume buttons easier now with this on,and it doesnt cover any part of the screen that you use, im not scared to set it down on hard surfaces now, and it feels better in my hands or anywhere else i use it at, i would recommend this to everyone who owns a xoom

I bought this for a very good price from a third-party Amazon retailer. I'm very pleased with both the item and the speed with which it shipped and arrived, one day earlier than predicted, even given the Memorial Day holiday! The case fits my Xoom perfectly, a very snug fit, easy to get on. I love the grip it provides--way better than the fairly slight Xoom back itself. I wasn't expecting great protection from drops, but if you're looking for this, you should consider a different cover, as there is no padding like, say, an Otterbox. The cut-out areas are a perfect fit for the rear camera, speakers, and on/off switch. The color, even with the non-obtrusive diamond pattern, is a perfect fit for the Xoom itself. Grooming Tools - cat grooming, cats

I recently moved in with my boyfriend and his lovely cat. I had forgotten just how much hair they leave on furniture, beds, and clothing while lounging around. I had to come up with a solution because we have navy bed sheets and a friend who is allergic. I had heard a lot about the furminator for dogs, and seen numerous pictures of just how much hair it takes off. I was hoping it would do the same for the cat, I had my doubts because he is a short haired cat and it just didn't seem like he had that much to lose. The first day that I used it I removed about a baseball sized amount of hair when it was all clumped up into a ball, I was shocked!! I used it again on him the next day because after the first session I was just so covered in hair myself I needed a shower, and on the second go around it removed just about as much hair as the first, I was floored. It left him feeling super soft and even looking skinnier. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a cat, it works so well and will safe you a lot of time cleaning up around the house in the long run. FURminator Short Hair deShedding Tool for Small Cats

I first learned of the FURminator grooming tool from our veterinarian who brought it into the room after our cat had shed all over us. It seemed to be a common occurrence when we were at the vet. Yes we combed our cats at home but for some reason never got all that deep hair out and a nervous cat at the vet is the place to shed right! Well that's where the difference lies with this tool. When the vet told us they run about $40 she wasn't kidding.

I thought ok lets see if Amazon has one. If you shop around here you can find it for less than $40. The money in my opinion is well spent. The cats seem to like it and it sure does de-shed the hair! It even has a ejector button to push the hair out. You will notice a lot of the hair ends up on the end of your cat by its tail but that's ok, as long as your getting it out right!

You will want the short haired version if your cats hair is just under 2 inches long.

The short stainless steel edge gets down deep beneath the cats short topcoat and removes the undercoat and all that loose hair before it ends up all over your house.

You do not want to use this on a cats hair if its wet.

Never brush with this tool if your cat has any sores on its skin or if there is an area that is matted. You need to get the tangles out before using the FURminator.

Again the money spent is a little high in my opinion,but it really does work, where other combs don't even start to remove the dead coat that's deep down on your cat.

The Furminator arrived on time and was just as described. This is one amazing tool. My long hair cat loved to be brushed but we sort of play a game of "follow me around the room" and then I will let you, my slave, brush me. Can't believe how much fur I got off her with just one session. She even let me brush her "pantaloons" (the backs of her legs). Expensive tool, but worth it.

I have never seem so much hair come off of my Maine Coon - he is a shedding machine and this thing removes tons of hair. My cat likes it for the first minute or two, then I think he gets over stimulated and I have to stop using it. The only drawback is that the hair it takes off becomes so statically charged that it sometimes shoots off the brush into the air - looks like fireworks! I am wondering if I try the Furminator dry shampoo first, if that will alleviate some of the static. I do recommend this brush if you have a high-shedding cat like me (though get the right one for your pet - the long hair one does nothing on my short hair cat).

Amazing deshedding tool! I really can't praise this tool enough about it's actual deshedding capabilities. I purchased the Bamboo 3-in-1 glove at Petco a few weeks earlier and thought it was an excellent massaging tool but a horrible hair removal tool since my (new) cat's hair was everywhere! So I decided to buy the Furminator. Upon first swipe, I knew this was a keeper! After 5 minutes of brushing with the Bamboo was pretty much equivalent to one brush with the Furminator!

So enough with the praising and allow me to move on to what I dislike about it. Ultimately why I didn't give it a five-star review is because of two reasons: 1) My cat is lukewarm to its "massaging" benefits. This isn't entirely the Furminator's fault, but nonetheless, I have to entice my cat with the Bamboo glove first (he loves the Bamboo glove and tolerates the Furminator). 2.) Once the hair is off, it flies everywhere! This is ultimately my huge dislike. And it could be because my cat's hair is quite short (he's a British Shorthair), and it might not be as big of an issue with longer-hair cats, but because it's not matted, the loose hair goes everywhere--particularly onto me. I'm wondering if they can put some sort of cat hair-retaining device at the back end so that at least the loose hair flies directionally toward the front and not onto me! That way the cat AND I can be loose fur-free.

I saw the FURminator video and read the reviews on this device before purchasing it. Even though I was skeptical and thought it was initially overpriced, I ordered one anyway because I have 3 short-haired cats who are shedding their winter coats like crazy. Fur everywhere! I bought the FURminator short-hair deShedding tool for large cats (over 10 lbs). When I removed it from the plastic container I was immediately impressed by the solid, heavy construction and comfortable feel...this is no cheaply built product and truly feels like a professional tool! I immediately went to work on the cats with AMAZING results; repeat, AMAZING! Hair just started coming off in huge clumps with no adverse effect to the cat's coat! The grooming action does build up static electricity quickly which makes the hair start clingling to everything, but you can prevent this by spritzing a mixture of 1/4 baby oil and 3/4 water on the cat's coat...just enough to dampen the fur. (It's safe for the cat...I read about this "cure dry skin" technique on a veterinary website.) Stroke the baby oil solution into the fur with your hands (the cat won't mind), then draw the FURminator from neck to tip of tail. The damp fur comes off evenly and easily. Keep grooming until the fur is dry...it'll produce a couple handfuls on a 12-15 lbs short-haired cat. You can use the large comb on medium-sized cats too with no problem or discomfort (5 lbs and up). I'm truly sold on this product and will probably buy a couple more for Christmas presents! (No, I don't work for FURminator, but I hope the inventor makes a million bucks. I love this product!) Chemistry - lab notebook, flip book

Easy to write, easy to tear off, periodic table can be used after you are done with the notebook. This is what a student lab notebook should be and every other notebook I used just failed to be this one. Student Lab Notebook: 50 Carbonless Duplicate

I was required to use these in my general chemistry courses and now that I'm doing my own research, I knew this would be perfect.

PROS:

Pages are numbered.

Duplicates are made, but if you don't need duplicates you can have a 100 page notebook (numbering will be a bit strange.

Pages are like graph paper instead of regular notebook paper.

CON:

If you spill chemicals on the notebook, the paper will absorb them and then you'll be stuck exposing yourself to those chemicals for the rest of the semester. This is probably true for notebooks, to a greater or lesser extent. :)

this is an excellent lab notebook. the top binding is different, but it works fine, and i have gotten used to it. the book is awesome, though. the presentation is much better than many on the market. every set of pages works for duplicate transfer, so you dont have to keep moving around one of those stupid carbon sheets--you only have to move the spacer around (which is a periodic table = convenient). - Flip Book - Lab Notebook'

Outdoor Furniture - band saws, bandsaw

A good band saw has always been a favorite tool for me and this one so far has proved to be a good one, easy to set up, change blades, etc. This saw replaces an old INCA I've owned for many years and so far I'm excited about this new acquisition. I was a little disappointed because the picture showed a fence included and I didn't read the "In the box" info. That ended up working out just fine though because I then bought the KREG precision fence which coupled with this saw makes for a superb tool, (probably better than if it had come with the JET fence.)

I was happy to see the cast iron wheels instead of the cast aluminum ones I was expecting because I almost bought the POWERMATIC for that reason. I was sold on the built in, large re-saw capability of this saw and no-where in the web page blurb did it mention these wheels. Pleasant surprise and I look forward to many years of use.

I didn't give this saw 5 stars only because JET tools are really solidly built but lack a certain refinement, especially in the adjustment methods they use for alignments. Not a big deal, I can usually work with what is provided, but I choose to be picky about that last star. JET JWBS-14DXPR 14-Inch Deluxe Pro Band Saw Kit

I am not into wood working to create an income. I've retired after 36 years of helping thousands of youngsters find some direction in their life. I also do not consider myself more than average in creativity . .,but, thanks to my Dad (who operated a cabinet shop while I was growing up) I still have a yearning to produce functional, quality wood products. He was a "tough" teacher, but, now in my later years; I realize how much of a GENIUS he really was. The one thing he always held as paramount was this: To do the very best, you must have the right tools.

I was able to partially restore his old (at least 45 years old by now) Delta band saw, but there is only so much you can do with something of that age .. . .(hope my wife don't read this). Couldn't even find a decent belt . . had to find the closest in size and shim and shake, etc., to make it fit. Plus, getting it to cut anything over 3 inches thick (even with a new blade) was a chore.

So, I began my research, and for the past few weeks I have read just about everything about bandsaws and the many, many options on the market.

So, I created a priority list:

1. I wanted a quality product that current users held in high regard.

2. I wanted a band saw that was easy to operate.

3. I wanted a saw that could do both "heavy duty" chores, and be able to

drop back to the more delicate cuts without having to go through

too many alterations.

4. I wanted a mid-range price saw that seemed to reflect 1-3 above.

I finally decided on the Jet DXPR because I wanted the capability of cutting 10-12 inch thckness. I know there were several reviews that spoke of an adapter you could put on a regular 14 inch saw to increase from 6 inches to 12 inches, but when I compared the prices, buying the DXPR (it was a little more I think) just made sense.

Well, it arrived today . . about noon. Had to get my wife to help me

lift it onto the base. And, even though I have operated a band saw before, I have never "set one up from scratch". But, within 90 minutes

(in a 94 degree -- non-airconditioned shop) I pushed the first piece of wood through the blade. Yep, started with a piece of quarter inch panel wood . . moved to a 2x4 next, and by 4:00 pm, I dragged a 10 inch oak log off the wood pile and was delighted with how easy it sawed in half.

And that was with the standard quarter inch blade that came with the saw. I don't even have decent blades yet, and have already cut out a small box from a piece of 4x4 that just happend to be within easy reach.

I know, many would like to see a review of someone who has used this saw for 6 months and has put it through all the possible paces. However, even though I am not a super experienced wood artist (yet!), I do feel comfortable that I have purchased a very practical, useful and quality saw that will be able to handle all my current and future requirements.

I was also satisfied with the Amazon.com price, and free shipping. The saw was delivered within 7 days of my order. Plus, the delivery guy (ABF freight, I think) was extremely helpful by helping me get the item off the truck, and onto my trailer. Although he could not get down my drive way with his 18 wheeler, he got as close as he could. I had several emails from both Amazon and the freight company about delivery, plus two phone calls from ABF to assure me of the delivery schedule, etc. The whole process was painless.

Maybe I'll come back in a few months with an update.

IMPORTANT WIRING INFO FIRST: I like this saw very much BUT MY MANUAL CAME WITH AN INCORRECT DIAGRAM FOR WIRING TO 230 VOLTS!! It might be a waste of time to switch this to 230 volts, but if you choose to do so READ THIS. I don't know if all of the manuals have this misprint, but in my manual, on page 30 it shows to connect wires 1 and 2 with the white wire and wires 3 and 4 with black wire on the motor. This is NOT correct. I didn't do it so I can't tell you what will happen when wired like this, but I just got off the phone with Jet tech and it is confirmed that this in NOT correct. If you are converting to 230 Volts the CORRECT way is shown, at least in my manual, on page 11. The CORRECT way is to connect wires 2 and 3 together on the motor, then connect the white wire(which will be a hot wire, not a neutral, in a 230v setup) to wire 1 on the motor. Then connect the black wire(the other hot in a 230v setup) to wire 4 on the motor. Keep in mind that when wiring this for 230v you will have to get an approved 230v plug which will have two hot wires and a ground, NO NEUTRAL IS USED in this 230 volt setup, the white is changed to a hot for 230 volts.

MY REVIEW: The bandsaw is great so far. I have only had it for a couple weeks, but I am a very happy customer. It arrived quickly through amazon super saver shipping, and in perfect condition. Put it together, tuned it up, ADDED THE OPTIONAL FENCE I PURCHASED SEPERATELY WHICH IS SHOWN BUT NOT INCLUDED WITH THE BANDSAW, and was very pleased with the cutting. The unit is a bit heavy for one person to set up on the base. I was able to lift the unit onto the base which was about 200lbs, but it wasn't much fun, get a buddy to help if you can. I have only used the provided blade, which is probably junk and still does fairly well. Can't wait to put the timberwolf blades I have on this. The fine tuning of the guides is a bit unrefined, but still works well with a little time and effort. I was cutting eigth inch veneers in no time and they are very accurate. Tensioning and tracking the blade was simple. I will try to update as I get some real time on this machine, but for now it truely deserves the five stars I gave it. Have you ever cut a dado and the parts fit perfectly, just clicking them together? You will every time with this set. You should make a test cut each time you change stock just to be sure, but this set is easy to setup. There is a chart that comes with it telling the mix of blades and chippers for each common thickness (I put mine in a sheet protecter to help me find it). If it is off just a little, slip in one or more of the supplied plastic shims to acheive perfection! I have a cheap caliper that I check plywood with and that gets me pretty close on the first try. I was cutting a bunch of dados last night in 3/4" birch plywood and there was absolutely no splintering or tearout. I was using a shop made plywood insert in my Jet table saw that was probably 3/64" below the cast iron table. In other words, it was a not-quite-zero-clearance insert and still no problems.I have a couple of old wobble blades and a Wards set that between them can't hold a trott-line, so I don't know what I'll use them for now. The review below notes that the bottoms of the dado are 'not flat'. Even though he still gave it four stars, I think it's important to note that this is normal for the Forrestt and was not a defective blade. The ouside blades have a scoring profile on alernate teeth that does give tiny 'batman ears' at the each corner, when the dado is viewed on end. This is why the set cuts so well in lamanated materials. But it's true that when making box joints and the like, where the profile of the dado is exposed, they will be visible.

Forrest makes a clean sweep in the awards ceremonies. Their Woodworker II took top honors in Fine Woodworking Magazines run off of blades. Close behind was the Freud at a quarter of the cost. Excellent for both blades on smoothness of cut, but the Forrest earned an excellent on tearout, whereas the Freud earned a very good. Well I bought both, and found the Freud to cut a surface so smooth that it was glass like. If I was going to put a finish on it, I would rough it up with 200 grit to improve the adhesion, it was that smooth. Also the Freud had absolutely no tear out, not even a little bit. Perfect is the word here. So why did I buy the Forrest Woodworker II also? Because everybody was raving about it. Forrest makes great products. On the Dado set, I noticed the reviewers stating that their was a tiny ridge at the bottom of the dado cut, created with the Forrest. The Freud has similar results. Oddly enough the Freud creates a perfect edge when making finger joints and the like, even though when you look down into the pocket, their are miniscule ridges in the cut. Comments that the end result on the Forrest have me concerned, stating that the edge is not perfect. Is this an example of more expensive must be better syndrome? I bought the Freud Super Dado set based on my earlier experience with their standard saw blade vs the Forrest. I'm glad I did. No matter what you buy, a good old fashioned sacrificial piece of scrap sandwiched to your work piece is your best guarantee against tear out when working with expensive woods. If you look at the Amazon sales rank, the Freud outsells the Forrest 4 to 1. Of course anything that is less money, sells more quantity, but I just can't get beyond the "perfect" performance of the Freud. How do you improve on that? This is not a dig on Forrest. They make first class products. Just something to consider. I hope this was helpful.

With out a doubt the most difficult dado to cut is a cross cut of laminated material.

Most moderately price stacked dado sets cut smooth accurate dados with the grain and if you get an upper priced set you can get a smooth bottom as well. But if you turn the material 90 degrees every blade and chipper had better be `balanced' or you're going to get `chipping'.

The Forrest Dado King is a cut above the norm. It's a well `Balanced' tool that makes a clean smooth dado in either direction. With the grain it almost like using a wide blade and it's smooth across the grain as well.

This is typical Forrest quality, but this Dado-King set does not cut a flat-bottomed Dado. At each edge, there is a slight "ear," which is deeper than the rest of the bottom. This is where the teeth of the outside blades cut the edge. That's the negative side of this blade.On the other hand, it cuts with very little tearout, even on plywood, and is very easy to set up. It also comes with very good instructions that take the guesswork out of how many chippers to add to get the desired width.Overall, a great set... but with a slightly different grind on the outside blades, you could have a flat-bottomed dado, and that would make this a 5-star set.

This is my third Forrest product (my first was the WWII, then the Chopmaster, now the Dado King). Forrest is top of the price range in all categories of blades, but also the best quality in my opinion. The Dado King cuts bottoms that are smooth as glass, and tear out is literally non-existent. But as other reviewers here have mentioned, the dados/grooves aren't true 90 degrees. There are little Batman ears at the corners of the dado. But that is intentional, and the instructions that come with the dado set explain that. Basically, those little raised corners are what help make ultra clean sides and bottom to the groove and minimize tear-out at the end of the cut. I had a Freud SD208 Super Dado (see my review on Amazon for that)set for $90 or so, and it got the job done, but the bottoms were far from flat and there was a good amount of tear out. It was worth spending the $250 or so to upgrade to the best (Dado King)

This is a sweet dado set. It is so easy to use and cuts very nice dados. It has the Forrest name and quality behind it. I'm very happy with it and glad I made the purchase.
