This pair is a decent entry level compact two way radios.



If you are looking for simple, compact, short range two way radios, this is perfect for you. It's very simple to use, fits right in your palms for easy grip and handling. It's got a belt clip which makes it easy to carry around. You can use the rechargeable batter it packs with or use your own AAA batteries as back ups, which can be helpful on longer trips or usage.



Some of the negatives:

1. this model do not have 'sub-channels'. this can really bother you if you constantly have other users on the same channel jamming.



2. battery level only shows up when it's low. this can be an hassle unless you carry extra AAA batteries.



3. When on 'LOCK' status, you cannot change volume because it locks all the buttons.

I bought these not knowing a bunch about 2 way radios but how much is there to know. Well for starts clarity, volume, range, power supply and accessories capabilities. My experience with these the first day I got them wasnt at all what I expected as far as volume and range goes. When the listing says up to 24 miles I didnt expect to be able to do it however I at least expected to get 5 miles which I didnt and we wasnt using them around tall buildings, I would say at most the transmission started to become unclear around 1 mile no line of sight (havent tested line of sight yet). The volume wasnt to my liking however if its no other noise going on around you it would be just fine but for me I would like to see it a bit more elevated in this area of performance. I will say the radios at my testing times was not fully charged as in being charged for 24 hours and at this time I am not sure if this has any thing to do with the range of the product. Other wise its great for the buck and a few accessories to plug and play with it. Product arrived with rechargeable battery packs instructions base charger and 110 power supply, very well packaged. Havent test many of the other features yet. Good Luck!

My company has gone through many different brands of walkie Talkies and this is the 4th set of these I have used. They work well, are reilable, and have clear signals most of the time. On occasion we will get some radio noise and have to switch channels, but it is VERY rare. I would reccomend these again and will buy more in the furture as we expand!

They have a charger so you don't have to keep buying batteries. We put them back in the charger at night and they are ready to use the next day. The sound is clear and very easy to use. Just wish I had bought them sooner.

I got these for my grandsons, and my daughter particularly asked me to write a review praising them. They are easy to use, and very durable. She found the user manual very helpful, actually written by someone who speaks English. She has found one feature particularly helpful. It is possible to lock the controls, so that the kids don't get the settings out of whack. This eliminated some irritation caused by the younger child changing channels in the middle of the game.

This product works great and all employees are happy with what they got.

Shipping was prompt and it arrived exactly on time. This is the third

time I've ordered a pair of these off of Amazon and I haven't been disa-

ppointed yet.

I know the advertisement reads that these radios have a 24 mile, unimpeded, line of sight range, but I figured if they had that kind of range, they should reach more than a mile or two on normal rural terrain. After a mile or two, I was unable to communicate with the second radio, on high power setting. Oh, and you need an $87.00 FCC license to use the GMS channels. I didn't see that mentioned in the description!

These two way radios have great range and hold a charge for a decent amount of time. I don't actually know if they have a full 24 mile range, but I have tested them at about 12 and had good luck. The only downfall for me is that they don't have seperate charging bases so I can keep one in my husband's shop and one at the house.

I've tested this radio in various conditions, and working ranges are as follows:



Dense cityscape - half mile is ok, after range increases, voice becomes choppy.

City with relatively low height houses and relaxed planning, 2-3 mile is best what you can get.

Flat area with direct line of sight - 6-7 miles.



So I think, declared 22 mile range can be achieved maybe on moon only...



In general, radios are OK, just what really bothers me, is the low amount of hearing volume, even at maximum setting, it's quite hard to hear what other side say, in average city noise. So this unit is definetly NOT for construction worked or noisy areas, unless you use headset.

Like others, I thought if the range is 24 miles under perfect conditions, I'd settle for three miles (1/8 of the 24) under "open road" conditions. Didn't happen. On a straight line open road with rolling hills, little traffic and the usual trees and such well off to the side, the range was a touch over a mile, and that was on the high setting. Why I Read this Book: I've seen The Ex-Boyfriend's Handbook described as the male-equivalent to Bridget Jones's Diary. I thought BJD was hilarious so I wanted to read The Ex-Boyfriend's Handbook. I was even more curious to read a Chick-Lit book written from the main male character's POV, figuring it would be quite a change from the norm. It was.



What I Liked: The book begins on January 16th, the day Edward discovers that Jane, his girlfriend of 10 years, has left him. The reader follows Edward through his 4 month self-discovery journey. Edward's best friend, Dan, helps him through the process in a hilariously yet sincere (at least to Dan's prospective) manner. These 4 months help Edward to assess and re-evaluate his relationship with Jane. The book ends on April 16, shortly after Jane has returned from her own self-discovery journey in Tibet. The whole time I was reading this book I wanted to know if they would get back together or not.



I grew fond of Edward's character and I wanted to make sure that everything turned out right for him. He got a new insight to life and relationships. Edward really transforms himself, inside and out, and in the end he gets the HEA he deserves.



Dan and his `logic' were most hysterical. Most of which was the blunt, honest truth. Dan doesn't sugarcoat anything, nor does his mouth have a filter, he just tells it like he sees it. Dan's analogies were sometimes spot on, sometimes not, but always down right hilarious.



Funny stuff that comes out of Dan's mouth:



"You're dressed like a scarecrow. And what do scarecrows do?"



"Cool jacket, Dan. How will they ever resist me?" [Edward] says, strutting up and down in front of the mirror.

Dan shakes his head. "Edward, it's a nice jacket. Not a magic jacket."





And here's a word of advice from Edward's personal trainer:



"If it jiggles, it's fat."





The funny part about this line is that it took place in a restaurant during the trainer's assessment of Edward. No advanced equipment needed; just a jiggle test. These quotes still give me a good chuckle.



What I Didn't Like: The beginning was a bit slow for me. But once Edward got over his woe is me pity party and started doing something about his situation, I was invested in finding out how his life was going to turn out.



There were a few times when I had to pause and think for a moment about what a particular word or phrase meant. Some I even had to Google. For instance: pint of snakebite (a drink of equal parts beer and cider), kerb (curb), boot of a car (the trunk), jumper (pull-over sweater), snog (kiss and cuddle) and aerial (antenna) - just to name a few. Nothing I couldn't figure out but it did pause my reading from time to time.



Overall Impression: Fans of Bridget Jones's Diary and Chick-Lit will love the male insight from Edward's POV and the humor that comes along with it. They need to make of movie from this book! The Ex-Boyfriend's Handbook would be a great Valentine's Day read. The Ex-Boyfriend's Handbook: Eddie will do whatever it takes to become her Mr. Right

Have you ever wondered what goes on in guy's mind? Do you like hot British guys? If you said yes to any of these questions, then this is the perfect book that will fulfill all your needs and more.



Oh Edward. What can I say about you? Nice guys always wonder why they never get the girl? Well, if you're like Edward, it's understandable why. His long time girlfriend has left him with only a note saying that, yes it is him, as to why she left. But he can't figure out why she has. Therefore the whole book is his quest to become the guy Jane wants and be the guy that is her Mr. Right. This includes everything from changing his car, his apartment, his eating habits and hiring a personal trainer.



Ok, there were times when reading that I wanted to throttle Edward for being so dumb. Oh my gosh, he was so clueless at times! I kept putting my head in my hands and groaning and his lack of knowledge or for just being so dense at a lot of things. There's a scene that Edward recalls about why he never got Jane flowers while they were dating because of an incident involving stopping at a gas station, getting expired roses, and her telling him never to do that again and him literally taking her word for it to mean to never get her flowers again. I was like "ohhhh, no you didn't Edward" over and over again during the first half of the book. The poor guy is literally absolutely dumbfounded as to why Jane left him but as he reveals more and more stuff about their relationship, it's easy to understand why she did. He's not a bad guy at all. In fact, he IS a good guy, in fact he's a really nice guy. But just being nice isn't going to cut it if you're not a good boyfriend.



Granted, Dan wasn't the best person to teach Edward things. He's a total playboy (if this was ever made into a movie, this role would be perfectly portrayed by Jude Law) who pretty much forgets about the girl he was with the next morning. There's quite a bit that he has to learn as well and it's fun watching him grow throughout the book and seeing his character change. Still, most of the advice he gives Edward is food for thought and there is some good changes he instills on him.



This book pretty much had me a fan from the first page. It's really nice to see a chick lit novel written from the guy's perspective. Women always complain about how we never know what a guy is thinking and that he's absolutely clueless when it comes to treating us right. Well, if men are anything like Edward, well then they ARE absolutely clueless! But what makes Edward stand out is that he was willing to change. He wanted to become what he thought Jane wanted and while doing so became the guy that truly was meant to be. This sounds a bit cliched but it's true. I really loved reading this book (hot British guys with accents!) and it's made me fall in love with Matt Dunn's style of writing. I see that he has several books in his backlist so I will definitely be checking those out in the near future. Single, dating, married, doesn't matter what stage of life you are in, this book is TONS of fun. HIGHLY recommended. - Circus - Comedy - Chelsea Goldstein - Chelsea Handler'

This bag arrived on a Friday afternoon in Seattle Washington after being ordered on Monday night and being shipped from Van Nuys California. It was sent via USPS Priority Mail in a bag and when unfolded had a couple wrinkles which disappeared on their own after a few hours.



FLAP



The flap looks like the flap in the main picture of this bag, with one minor exception. It has one long piece of olive green colored velcro on the other side of the flap from the two rectangular pieces of fabric pictured. The small red tag with white writing on it is not present on my flap, but is instead located on the end of the bag, where the strap is sewn on.



STRAP



The strap looks pretty comfortable and durable. It's made of the same fabric as the rest of the bag. On one side of the bag it's sewn directly to the bag, and on the other side of the bag it's looped through a wide, flat, rectangular brass ring which is inserted through a wide loop of fabric on the bag. Another brass ring is used to adjust the length of the strap which can be as short as approximately 28" and as long as approximately 48". The length adjustment ring stays in place really well but is still easy to adjust and moves smoothly along the strap.



SIDE POCKETS



Each side of the bag has a pocket which runs nearly the height of the bag and has a brass snap. The main picture of this bag shows a red sports drink, which I thought was kind of deceiving until I tried to put a 32 oz. gatorade drink in each side. To my surprise, it actually fit! The pocket doesn't look big enough to hold one of these bottles, but it just barely is. The snap won't fasten with a 32oz bottle in the pocket, but without a bottle the snaps work very well and have a solid feel to them. Just above one side pocket is a small black tag (1cm x 1cm) which says RD in white and shows curved white lines sort of resembling wings. Just above the other side pocket is a small red tag (1cm tall by 3cm wide) that says RAPDOM in white letters. Apparently this stands for Rapid Dominance, which wikipedia says is some sort of military tactic where you just overwhelm your opponent into giving up.



BACK OF BAG



The back of this bag (the side that rests against your body) has one large pocket that is approximately 7" tall (2/3 to 3/4 as tall as the bag's main compartment) and as wide as the bag (approximately 14"). It has one small piece of velcro just below the top edge of the pocket to close it.



UNDER THE FLAP



When you un-velcro the main flap and flip it out of the way, you find two large pouches. Each pouch has a zipper running along the top and a small square of velcro on the outside that the flap's velcro attaches to. The pouches are each approximately 7" tall and 6" wide. The zippers each have a logo like the one by the strap which says RD (same brass color as the rest of the zipper). The pockets both zip closed to the inside of the bag, so you wouldnt be able to reach under the flap and grab the zippers and open the pouches with the main flap closed. This seems more secure than the alternative. Above the right-hand pouch is an olive green tag (slightly lighter colored than the darker olive green of the bag) that says "RAPID DOMINANCE Standard Issue" and has the black RD logo and also a line for you to write your name: "Name_____________________".



MAIN COMPARTMENT



The main compartment of this bag has a long zipper that runs the length of the bag and when you unzip this zipper you find a shiny olive green vinyl lining inside. On one inner wall of the main compartment in the vinyl lining is an inner pocket approximately the size of one of the pouches on the outside. The vinyl is pretty solid, but not too thick, so I wouldn't put anything sharp or heavy in this inner pocket. I bought this bag to hold my equipment, notebooks, thermos and other gear while clomping through an oil refinery. After a week of use, I think it will serve well. This is not your choice in bags if you want something to contain your laptop; they're making them too thin for the support offered by this bag.



Positives:

* Long, adjustable strap;

* Pockets are pretty deep, except side (see negatives);

* Big, deep bag; and

* Zipper pocket inside bag, small but useful for pens and such.



Negatives:

* Canvas strap should be thicker with two stiches on either side, running the length, to avoid braying;

* Flap: velcro bar runs horizontally but there are only two small bars on the opposite side (the bag) --- these are not strong; and

* Side pockets --- too narrow but buttons are nice.



I plan to replace the velcro flap with a button clapse if the strap holds up for a month of abuse.



After 5 months of service I washed the bag in cold water. It faded a little as expected but did not shrink. Some were was noted in the bottom where a small hole developed. The bag is still useful. I did not add a button because there was no time.

I found the confusion over the different versions of this bag very annoying, so this is my attempt to shed some light on the black ones, at least. I bought two bags, from two different companies, in the hope that I'd get two different versions and be able to compare them. It worked.



I added a bunch of pictures comparing both bags to the customer pics section.



For what it's worth these results are for the black one, in July of 2009. I had intended to compare them and then return one, but I think I'll keep them both. They are both great bags at an awesome price and what the heck. You can never have too many gear bags.



I noticed that the Gravity bag's strap tends to bunch up on the adjustable side's square ring a bit, which might get annoying (the fixed side on this bad is sewn, no ring). The Ace Mart strap seemed a bit stiffer and didn't bunch on the adjustable side. The fixed side has a ring but is sewn too tight to bunch anyway.



I thought I wanted a zipper on the main compartment for security, but I found that the extra clutter got in my way a bit, especially for my large 12x11" binder/planner. But for smaller stuff or in cases where the bag may be upended, I can see that being very useful.



I was also surprised that the Gravity bag was about an inch shorter, which in conjunction with my large binder and other junk, mattered.

[1] At first I thought the Gravity version had heavier cloth than the Ace Mark. It turns out that the Gravity uses the same heavy outer cloth on both sides of the flap, while the Ace Mark uses a lighter cloth for the inside layer. Both are 100 Cotton but feel and look slightly different. The Ace Mart has a finer weave while the Gravity feels slightly slicker which you'd think would make it shed water better. But when I flicked some water it it, the Ace Mart bag beaded 50% or more, while the Gravity just drank it right in, zero beading (see my pics). OTOH, the Gravity bag has a nylon inner lining. I'll Scotchgard them anyway.



[2] Both bags have a small zippered inner pocket, but the Gravity version has zippers on both front outside and main inside compartments. NOTE: the zippers make the mouths of the front outer compartments significantly smaller than the non-zipper ones! My Mini9 fits perfectly in the Ace Mart outer compartment, but it's not even close in the Gravity one.

Two years after I had my cartilage pierced it was STILL red & swollen with an ugly bump that wouldn't go away! I finally asked my doctor what to do; he gave me an antibiotic ointment. That made it worse!! My friend suggested H2Ocean. After 3 DAYS my ear was completely healed! No more bump, no more swelling. I love this product and recommend it to everyone. Based on the other reviews I bought this stuff because my 7-week old nose piercing would get red from wearing makeup and sweating when working out. I also have a puppy who likes to lick my face/nose when I'm asleep so keeping my piercing clean is difficult at times. I got this in the mail today and within minutes the redness went away and my nose feels so much better! This is the best alternative to [trying to] soak your nose with a sea-salt solution and a washcloth. I would definitely keep this stuff around even if your piercing has already healed just to keep the area clean.

I have 14 piercings, and I swear by H2Ocean! I recommend this product to everyone I know-- it's sterile, pH-balanced, won't irritate piercings, is very convenient to carry in your purse/ etc, and is simple to use.



My directions: Spray your piercing with H2Ocean at least 4 times a day to sterilize and moisturize the area as long as your piercing is healing. When in the shower, wash your piercing with unscented, pH-balanced, anti-bacterial soap.

Never touch your piercing with dirty hands, never let anyone else touch your piercing with dirty hands/ etc, and don't be unhygienic in any way!



If you already have a piercing that is red, swollen, beginning to keloid-- stop what you a currently doing and begin this regimine! Soak a cotton ball in H2Ocean and hold it on the piercing for about 8 minutes-- this will make a huge difference!



This product is amazing! Get it, and you won't be sorry!!

My wife had her nose pieced over 2 months ago. Within a few weeks it looked a little infected and a nasty looking inflammation appeared around the piercing (she knows the medical term for it, I don't). She cleaned it with sea salt up to 6 times a day which seemed to do nothing. I stumbled upon this product while searching for quality nose ring and read some of the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I made the purchase but I was extremely skeptical. Well it's been about 3 days since she starting using it and the irritation has almost completely disappeared. I'm very impressed with this product! I think I earned some brownie points with my wife too.

I bought this product for my frustrated nose piercing. I had only had it for about 2 months and a nasty bump popped up. I went to see the piercer to have it looked at and he said it was a keloid. He told me just to keep soaking it with my sea salt mixed with warm water. Anyone who has a nose piercing knows how much of a pain that is. It took to much time and was just an inconvenience. So I remembered the product H2ocean Body Piercing Spray that I used on my navel piercing. Found it here on Amazon and bought it. Not only does work but it just feels refreshing and clean. Note this particular time WILL NOT WORK unless the load is at least 40W- which could be a problem with CCFL bulbs. As far as I know, there is nothing even close to this on the market.



I have had a few of these for many years. None have ever failed. Setup is straightforward and programming is reasonable.



Having the lights automatically adjust for sunrise/sunset is great. If we leave the house at 4pm and come back at 9pm, the front lights are on.



There is a little bug in the programming (TI034). It screws up if it is programmed to turn on before midnight and turn off after midnight. I forget now how it screws up, because I changed mine to turn off just before midnight. I think it just stayed on.



I would like more flexible programming, but that usually comes with complexity. There isn't much space there for a display.



1. Be able to set an offset (sunset +/- nn minutes).



2. A random feature where it would vary the actual on/off times by +/- nn minutes. This is a minor point, because it already vary some because of changing sunset/sunrise times.



3. Automatic adjustment for daylight savings. That may be a problem, because they could change the cutover date, so maybe it's better as it is.

This also allows me to synch the clock twice a year. The timer does not keep perfect time, which is surprising. I would think it could use the 60 Hz from the grid to stay perfectly in time. Maybe an upgraded model could include a received for the time signal from Colorado? :-)



This is one of my favorite gadgets. It used to be very hard to find. I am glad that Amazon is now carrying it. I often give them away as gifts.



07/30/10 Update: Aube makes quite a few models. It took me awhile to figure out the differences and I bought one wrong model. Some of them are designed for more heavy-duty work and controlling motors (033 & 035). I see that they now have a few new models with more programming options and higher wattage ratings. Most of mine are the 034. These are fine for porch lights. Our front porch light is also wired in with the front outside plug so it can control external Christmas lights. The 500 watt max for the 034 is limiting. I may get the new 071 or 072 to replace that one.

The 3W means 3-way. The -5 is almond color.

This is a high-quality timer, well-designed with all the features you would want. Easy to program, and easy to override the program. But make sure to read the fine print before ordering. There are several similar models, but they differ in wattage requirements and neutral-wiring requirements. You have to dig deep into the product details to discover this.

I have had 4 of these switches installed for over a year now, and they have been simply excellent. They are straightforward to program, and they have worked flawlessly. They also look great.



I bought these insted of the intermatics, which are simply AWFUL units. The Intermatics use mechanical timers, and they burn out all the time (I have many friends who moan about them regularly). These units are MUCH better, being digital. No problems, no complaints. An unconditional recommendation.

As far as I know, there is nothing even close to this on the market.

There is a little bug in the programming (TI034). It screws up if it is programmed to turn on before midnight and turn off after midnight. I forget now how it screws up, because I changed mine to turn off just before midnight. I think it just stayed on.



I would like more flexible programming, but that usually comes with complexity. There isn't much space there for a display.



1. Be able to set an offset (sunset +/- nn minutes).



2. A random feature where it would vary the actual on/off times by +/- nn minutes. This is a minor point, because it already vary some because of changing sunset/sunrise times.



3. Automatic adjustment for daylight savings. That may be a problem, because they could change the cutover date, so maybe it's better as it is.

This also allows me to synch the clock twice a year. The timer does not keep perfect time, which is surprising. I would think it could use the 60 Hz from the grid to stay perfectly in time. Maybe an upgraded model could include a received for the time signal from Colorado? :-)



This is one of my favorite gadgets. It used to be very hard to find. I am glad that Amazon is now carrying it. I often give them away as gifts.



07/30/10 Update: Aube makes quite a few models. It took me awhile to figure out the differences and I bought one wrong model. Some of them are designed for more heavy-duty work and controlling motors (033 & 035). I see that they now have a few new models with more programming options and higher wattage ratings. Most of mine are the 034. These are fine for porch lights. Our front porch light is also wired in with the front outside plug so it can control external Christmas lights. The 500 watt max for the 034 is limiting. I may get the new 071 or 072 to replace that one.

Okay boat owners, if you are like me you probably didn't want to spend a lot on your boat to self winterize your boat. I live in Maine and we have had one pant load of snow this year. I knew the cover I bought was going to need to be able to hold up against anything a Maine winter could throw at it. This cover has held up very well indeed.



1) The material is rugged yet flexible, breathes and is remarkably water repellent.

2) The color I choose was gray, because I have enough blue tarps floating around in my neighbors yards! Go with the gray.

3) The tie down straps are stong enough but may be the weak link over the long haul. They are nylon and have good clips to fasten under and through the hull of your boat. You can crank 'em down tight to get a good fit and this helps to shed the water.

4) The elastic band that hold it close to the hull once installed, seems good and able to last for several seasons (that said this is the first season for me)

5) One of the worst things you can do to a boat , or any other mechanical device for that matter, is wrap it so tight it cannot breathe! This cover has two ventalation holes at the top of the cover in the stern. They seem to work well.



You might as well just throw out the little plastic tarp stand they provide with the cover.It us useless which I didn't mind because I knew I wanted to make my own out of wood any way.



One other thing about this tarp, there are a gazilion merchants selling this particular "Classic" brand. I happened to call the one who had the best price in Seattle and was glad I did. He recommended that I get it larger than the measure indicated on the description if there were any doubt about it fitting my 21' bow rider. BEST advice I have gotten in a while as I needed the extra material to get a really good tight synch for winter. GO LONG man if you can. You can always bind the extra to your trailer or some other anchor point.



Hope this helps those out there that want to maintain their own boat in a cost effective way. Classic Accessories StormProTM Boat Cover (Grey, Model D)

Receiving this product I was pleased to feel the thickness of the material. The internal elastic around the bottom edge helps keep the cover on and also helps when installing it. However it didn't fit my boat. I did return it and purchase the same cover in a larger size. Your situation may vary but I urge you to think about buying a larger size than you think you might need.



I purchased the "E" version of this cover. The Amazon site said it was for boats 20-22' in length and proper for a V Hull Runabout. My boat is a 21' V Hull Runabout. The length was actually just about right. However there were no "width" indications on the Amazon web site page so I went to the Auto Barn web site where there was a more detailed chart. That chart indicated the "E" size would handle boats up to 106" wide. My boat is 96" wide. It didn't fit the width by a wide margin, more than a foot short of the needed width. I spoke with a representative of Auto Barn who said the width was meant to be the actual beam width - the widest part of the boat. I believe they do not properly allow for the height of the boat above the bond line nor do they properly account for the windshield.



I asked to exchange the cover for the next larger size. Auto Barn does not do exchanges. I had to RMA the cover back to Auto Barn and go back to Amazon to order the next larger size. It cost me $40 to ship the cover back. So I've now paid $40 for a product that didn't meet the stated size chart. I'm not happy about that at all.



Now that I have the "Model F" cover for 22-24' boats with up to 116" it is longer than needed and still just barely fits the width. I will not be able to use this boat for trailering on the road because it will not fit tight and would flap in the wind and perhaps scratch the boat. For me this is okay though because I have an official custom designed Yamaha cover (very expensive) that I use for road travel. This cover is just for storage. If you want to use a cover for road travel you may have to look elsewhere.



Bottom line. The cover is great, Auto Barn policy not so good, buy a larger size than you think you need if you have a taller boat with a tall windshield.



For reference I have a 2006 Yamaha SX210. I don't think it is much different than other brand runabout with standard windshields.

So far, so good. Received the cover a few days ago and installed. Not as thick as my original factory cover, but its also about half the weight, so relatively easy to install by myself. I have a 17'-8" V-Hull I/O runabout and Model D (17'-19') fit great. Its a tad too wide, but nothing a few tarp clips won't fix. Overall good fit for a non-custom cover.



The steel gray color looks great on my black boat and I like how the straps run all the way across the width of the cover. Like other reviewers I found that yes, the pole included was a bit flimsy, but once tied down it worked fine. Then again, in California mine won't have to stand up to 100 lbs of snow! Now, let's just see how the cover holds up in the summer sun!



WORD OF CAUTION: Make sure you put foam or something soft like microfiber cloth along any sharp edges as you install and before strapping down. It straps down with force and will probably tear along swim-ladder hinges, bimini frame and other metal hardware -- I almost learned that the hard way!

I bought this on the strength of the reviews. My husband didn't want to spend the money and thought our patched boat cover was good enough, but it leaked one too many times when he got sloppy with the supports and rain pooled on it. This cover was a lot thinner than our old one, so my husband was skeptical, but it looked very nice. We put it up the day we got it, skipping the pole because of the reviews and putting our own supports under it. It was a great fit. We had no rain overnight, but the next morning, the cover was soaked through with dew. This is a nice-looking dust cover, but that's about it. We let it dry then repacked it and did an online return through Amazon. UPS picked it up the next day, and we promptly got a full, hassle-free refund. Way to go, Amazon! Can't say the same about this cover. I rarely write reviews but wanted to warn others.'

I've had this belt for 2 weeks now, so it may be early to review it. But the belt is solid, strong, and good looking. My previous reversible belt was a Perry Ellis without any stitching, which means they pretty much glued a thin brown belt to another thin black belt. That one looked good for about 2 days before they started to peal away from each other. The Alexander Julian belt is so far really nice, and has really strong stitching to where that's not a problem. I would love to give this belt a 5 star review. It's well made and very trendy. It can be used for casual wear and business wear. The only reason I gave it four stars was because on occasion, the belt squeaks. The belt buckle itself makes a small noise when you make sudden twists or turns. No one has ever noticed except myself, but it can be a tad annoying. Besides that I love this belt. Has held up well for a couple months with very few signs of wear. Not a bad price either for quality. Even though mine has a small squeak, I still love this belt and would probably buy one again.'
