All In One Printer - kodak printer, inkjet printer ink

Kodak cheats its printer users by running a print-head clean, which uses both black and color ink, after every print job. What does this mean to the end user? Lots of wasted ink.

I have owned my Kodak AiO printer for a couple of years, and it has been a dependable printer. In the course of those 2 years I've replaced both the black and color ink cartridges 5 times apiece. I have never printed a color document with this printer --- it's used only for printing black & white invoices and receipts. Still, my color ink cartridges run out at almost the exact same time as my black ink cartridges (usually within one or 2 printed pages). Kodak ink prices are very reasonable, but by forcing their printers to waste ink after each print, they ensure that you will be buying twice as much ink as you use. Another feature is that Kodak printers (or my EasyShare 5100, at least) will not print if either the color or black ink cartridge is empty. The printer won't print a B&W document unless it has color ink to waste after it prints! I continue to put up with my Kodak printer simply because Kodak's ink prices are low enough to be competitive, even though I basically have to purchase 1 color and 1 black cartridge for every black cartridge I use. Colors are very vibrant and display true color. I had to print pictures for a new passport, and rather than driving all over the place, I took my self portrait, put the memory card in the card slot of the printer and printed off the "head shot". Certainly a whole lot cheaper than paying for the passport photos.

The combo ink cartridges normally saves money over buying single cartridges which are less expensive than other brands...only for Kodak brand printers. The ink lasts quite a bit longer than any other printer that I have owned, spending less for the ink than with any other printers I have ever owned (Lexmark, HP, Epson, etc.)

I have had very few problems with Kodak products but have ALWAYS been taken care of...customer service (Jonathan Bunch) makes me glad to be a Kodak customer.

I own a 5250 printer. Ink here is a good deal if you can wait a week for your ink. I would suggest getting the large size black cartridge. I am a trader and print a lot of charts and go through more black ink than most people might. Every purchase I have made through Amazon has been a first class experiance. Buy local if you need it fast . Otherwise I would buy here and add another product to get free shipping. P.S. Don't buy anything other than Kodak ink. I did and almost ruined the printer, lousey print quality resulted etc.

The ink cartridges for the Kodax ESP may be cheaper than the competition, but you will go through way more than you would with any other brand. The print heads "clean" their selves each time you print something thus wasting a massive amount of ink. It seems to be a marketing scheme to me. I am currently looking for a new printer. I will not donate or give my Kodak printer away. I will trash it for the simple fact that Kodak is blatantly taking advantage of its consumers.

Item came as described & in reasonable time. In terms of quality, it is a Kodak OEM product so it is what it is. Price is about the same elsewhere on line (no tax, free delivery), I just leaned on Amazon's name that's all.

First of all...this printer is tempermental about connecting to my wireless network. I have had to resort to using a cable...which stinks. And the cartridges say it will print 425 pages of blk/wht...funny how I bought a ream of paper at the same time and I've only used less than 1/4 of it and my ink is out...and I alway try to set my printing at DRAFT quality to conserve ink! I have hardly ever printed color sheets, but whatdoyaknow! The color cartridge is out at the same time as the black ink~! Rip off! So what if the ink is cheaper...you get less ink and they have the printer programed to say the color is out as soon as the blk is low. And it is slow! I really really don't like this printer...I'm only keeping it around because of paying way to much for it in the first place. - Kodak Printer - Ink Cartridge - Inkjet Printer Ink - All In One Printer'
