How To Make A Smoothie - green smoothies, how to make a smoothie

Most of the recipes in this book are from Vitamix, so if you already have a Vitamix which he recommends that you get, then you already have most of the recipes. Also, many of the recipes have either protein powder or greens powder added which seems to be a copout to me. There's also eggs, milk and yogurt in a lot of the recipes so if you are vegan it won't be good for you. The recipes seem to not have been copy checked either, e.g. a recipe stating to "Add the milk first" but there was no milk in the ingredients list. Waste of money. Blended Nutrition: 50 Recipes For Your Blender And Your Health

Recently I purchased "Blended Nutrition" and normally I don't write reviews for books. After reading Jen's comments I feel compelled to respond.

I'm confused with Jen's problem with green and protein powders. These are both packed with real nutrition for those of us who are sometimes pressed for time. They are awesome "fast food" and can be vegan or not. Not everyone has easy access to fresh organic foods.

Also, I see nothing in this book claiming to be a vegan recipe book. Some recipes are vegan or could be adapted for vegan diets. For $30 or more you can buy a vegan cookbook.

This is an excellent book for beginners. Not everyone owns a VitaMix so sharing HIS version of their recipes is a gift. The recipes in the book give beginners great tasting, healthy combinations to try and I think that is the point?

I would be hard pressed to find any book with no typographical or editing errors. I love the recipes I have tried and look forward to using this book frequently so thank you Mr. James. - Green Smoothies - How To Make A Smoothie - Healthy Eating - Raw Food Recipes'
