Iphone 4g Cover - bumper, iphone 4
BEWARE: Amazon appears to default to the lowest priced buying option - the non "TAPP COLLECTION" vendors may be selling something totally different than what is pictured! If it is not selected, go to the "More Buying Choices" list on the right hand side at the top of the product page, right under the "add to cart" section. Choose "Tapp Collections" or one of the other trusted vendors. You should be paying at least $5 for this anything else will be garbage!
If you get the right thing it's a great deal for the money. Why spend $30 bucks on "official" iPhone bumpers at the wireless store? This is the exact same thing. Fits snugly, has metallic buttons for the volume and top power (and they work). All of the holes were in the right place except for the "set to mute" one which seems to be slightly too high. Not sure if that is intentional because everything else lines up 100%.
The bumper also increased the reception of the phone dramatically. Bumper Case for Apple iPhone4 - Bumper with chrome buttons for volume and power - Black
Complete scam!! The product is nothing like what's pictured. They show/claim a bumper that looks identical to the OEM apple bumper, with metal buttons and all, but you get a foamy piece of junk, that doesn't fit properly, with poorly cut holes instead of metal buttons. My guess is that the low price point has kept others from not complaining about this garbage, but trust me, its not even worth $1.
This bumper surpassed my expectations based on previous reviews and the low price. I am not sure if previous reviewer comments were made on bumpers from various manufacturers and not by Tapp Collections. The bumper I received is made by Tapp Collections. It is perfect for my Iphone 4G. It fits well and all ports and buttons work well. I have had it for a month and it is wearing well so far. It is a good quality bumper and I am really glad that I went with this over the $30 Apple bumper.
I wanted a bumper to protect my iPhone 4, and to help me with antenna problems. Looked at the official Apple bumper, and laughed. At $29.95, it's a rip-off. So I looked further and found this one. It's perfect. Fits snuggly, and I have no problems with the buttoms and holes. Also, I gain 2 bars on my reception.
This looks and feels like an Apple bumper, but at a reasonable price.
Received my iPhone bumper, well-packed, from Tapp Collections. I don't think it's a genuine Apple bumper, but it's a pretty good knock-off. I have a Verizon iPhone 4 and this bumper was designed for the AT&T iPhone 4 as the mute switch did not initially line up properly (Verizon and AT&T iPhones have slightly different antenna and mute switch placements and designs). Carefully using a razor blade and sharp pocket knife scissors, I was able to make this bumper work for my Verizon iPhone. I only needed to make a small cut of a thin piece of rubber that was blocking the mute switch in order to make the opening larger. You do not have to cut the actual thick side of the bumper. You cannot really notice that I had to perform surgery on the bumper. I wish the item would note that it is not intended for both iPhone 4 designs. Otherwise, this bumper seems to be of good quality and looks and feels nice. The volume rocker buttons as well as the screen lock button are a harder plastic material, not the rubber material pictured in other posts for this item. Again, I'd recommend buying from Tapp only, to ensure that you receive the correct bumper.
I am now Happy Mike!!
Great product, got great deal from new Amazon seller Efox.
Most bumper have cutout at the sound and power area, which makes it hard to get to. However this bumper is designed with extender buttons on volume and power, no button for the mute since that is a switch so it is a cutout. These button feels solid, and I have no problem with it. The bumper itself is made of plastic/rubber compound, so it will take some abuse. This would be great for people who drops their phones, but since I have yet to drop a phone that would require this sort of protection for me I wished it was a bit thinner. But since I got such a great deal from Efox seller, I am not complaining.
Please note:
If you use the USB cord and plug directly to the phone, you should use the one that came with the phone. The OEM thin slim ones that fit perfectly into the cutout of the bumper, if you use generic one or the aftermarket cord it may not work with this bumper. So please keep that in mind.
I needed to find some good protection for my new iPhone 4 which I considered kind of delicate - most of the surface is made of glass. Then I picked these up (black for me and white for my wife) from Tapp Collections and couldn't be happier once I received it. Besides of good price compared to the one at Apple store costs $25+, this bumper case fits perfectly with my new iPhone 4. It provides good protection that the glass surface front and back will not touch the table directly.
And I don't find the problem the other reviewer mentioned of the power and volume key coming off. Maybe the problem was with another seller. Mine got no problem whatsoever. - Iphone - Iphone 4 - Bumper - Case'
