Classic Rock - prog rock, classic rock

What more can one say? The classic rock recording, "Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin, which was featured on their 4th album in 1972, remains the quintessential rock song, and the one by which all others are measured. What makes this particular song stand out so much is the way that it is written, created, produced and performed. The members of the band - Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham - absolutely shine on this track. The album "Led Zeppelin IV", sometimes referred to as "ZOSO", features some of this group's finest musical moments. Every song on this album - "When The Levee Breaks", "Going To California", "Four Sticks", "Rock And Roll", "Misty Mountain Hop", "The Battle Of Evermore", "Black Dog" - proves why England's metal masters had a special knack for making great music. But, it is "Stairway To Heaven" where they really found their creative peak. Had it not been this song from this band, then perhaps another British rock band would have laid claim to creating the greatest rock song of all time. There are other groups worthy of this honor. The Dave Clark Five, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, Badfinger, The Hollies, Deep Purple, The Yardbirds, Cream, The Zombies, Gerry And The Pacemakers, Status Quo, Procol Harum, The Troggs, The Beatles. All of these fine artists gave the world some brilliant music. However, no one can hold a candle to Led Zeppelin's landmark song, "Stairway To Heaven", a 70s rock music masterpiece. Stairway To Heaven

Kinda weird to be reviewing this, one of the most famous rock songs of all time. Really. Even an old duffer like me could download it and synch it to his MP3. You have to have this song even if you have heard it a thousand times before.

There isn't a word in any dictionary in the world that can describe how happy I am while listening to this song. This song is the exact reason why I believe that nobody can top Led Zeppelin as the greatest band of all time. - Prog Rock - 1970s - Mp3 - Classic Rock'
