Fitness Gloves - womens althetic gloves, gloves

I read the customer reviews before purchasing this product. Everyone recommeneded ordering one size up. Instead, I ordered according to the sizing chart on harbinger's website. According to the measurements, I required a medium...which is what I ordered. Upon receiving them I found them to be surprisingly too big. They were loose, and unlike other customers, I found the finger holes to be quite big. I double checked the pacakaging and tags inside the gloves. They both claim M. I hate the hassle of returning items, so for $10....I will probably just give them away. Still a waste. They seem to be of good quality, other than being slightly scratchy on the inside due to seams. Harbinger 154 Power Women's StretchBack Gloves (Black, Large)

Overall these gloves provide decent hand protection, and have allowed my calluses to go away. Here are my complaints though: 1)fit - I checked the company's sizing chart and ordered a medium. While the palm size is decent, I found the fingers and wrist to be too loose - which means they slide more than I'd like. 2)Length - I personally would have liked the fingers to be a little longer. It would have been nice if they at least reached up to the first knuckle (I have short fingers too). Plus, since the fingers are loose on me, they slide down and cover even less so my fingers barely have any protection at all. That can get uncomfortable for me since my weights have a textured grip which rubs more than a smooth surface would. The only way to compensate is to try and pull the glove up, but that doesn't really work too well. Overall these are a decent pair of gloves. For me though, I think there is probably a better pair out there.

In about two months they were A MESS.. Smelly (not my hands, leather smell) falling apart etc. I guess its time to get a new one but I d much rather buy a pair that LASTS. No need to buy a new pair every two months.

I read that the gloves run a little small so I purchased a medium. My hand is 5 1/2 inches long and my left ring finger size is a 4 1/2, (right is a 5)so I should have purchased a small or X-small. Hopefully this gives you an idea what size to buy. The medium was way too big. Serves its purpose though... :)

I actually think these fit nicely. I just retired my old pair after 1 year (the trim around the wrist ripped loose and the seam on the inside of the thumb hole came apart-- which isn't weight lifting wear and tear but poor craftsmanship). I throw mine in the washing machine periodically, though, so perhaps that's what did them in. I just tried some Valeos to see if they would last longer... they probably will, but the fit is off for me. I have fairly large but thin hands (I am a medium in these), and the thumb part of my palm is relatively large. The thumb fits great on me in these Harbingers. The Valeos are too short (you'd think it wouldn't matter in a fingerless glove) and if I went a size up they'd be too loose. Also the middle finger is a little longer on these, which I need for pull down bars. So I guess I'd rather have to buy a new pair of these each year and have them fit well than have a durable pair with a funny fit. - Gloves - Womens Althetic Gloves - Lifting - Fitness'
