David And Goliath - biblical fiction, david and goliath

This show does have its faults. The biggest one is how modern speech is intermingled with Shakespearean dialogue... it gives the show gravitas, but it cuts back on the realism. There are some unlikely events, but since this is a retelling of a Bible story in a modern setting, I don't mind it, and as a sci-fi enthusiast I even like it. The show does take things very seriously, with two unlikely security guards providing comic relief that quite frankly, isn't very funny. There is a lot about the world that we don't know, and there is little exposition, which will drive alternate universe fans up a wall. Additionally, if you jump into the series mid-stream, it may take you a few minutes of viewing to become acclimated.

If you can get past those faults, you'll find some of the best there is on TV right now, especially network TV. Sub plots that seem to have nothing to do with one another cleverly weave together throughout the hour to come to surprising twists at the end. Though the characters are mostly archetypes, they are very interesting, and you want to know more about them-- especially Silas and how he became king. The way religion is portrayed and how it affects things is very reminiscent of the new Battlestar Galactica; the multi-ethnic cast reminiscent of Star Trek, politics will have you waxing nostalgic for The West Wing, and best of all, it's not another cop, lawyer or doctor show. It's not insipid reality TV or a recycled sitcom. This is truly original, intelligent programming.

Unfortunately, due to the worst viral marketing campaign I have ever seen, I don't think we'll get another season, so get this show and watch it on your own. NBC did very little to promote this series, but is going out of its way to push another cheap cop drama on us. The show, the story, the actors, and we, the viewers, deserve better. If we're lucky, maybe a cable channel will pick it up and we'll get some more brilliance. NBC should not have been given the chance to kill this critically-acclaimed show. It deserves to be on HBO-- and in your DVD collection. Kings - The Complete Series

Rarely does a television series come along that challenges the norms, takes things a step further from what we already see. Television is a hit and miss industry in the first place. When a high concept series comes along, it is an even tougher sell. That's why it is such a rare occurrence when shows like Lost and Heroes break through.

Though for every breakthrough hit, there's probably 5 other shows that fail. Which is very unfortunate, because there such creative, well-written, well-produced, and well-acted shows that go unnoticed. This isn't a new phenomenon, but it doesn't make it any less sad.

Visually stunning cinematography, outstanding cast, and excellent writing... Kings deserved to be a hit. But alas, one season is all we're going get. One season that is not like anything else on network TV.

And thankfully, it can live on on DVD so one day, its greatness can be truly realized.

Kings is one of those rare series which comes along once in a decade. Loaded with Biblical allusions, well written stories, intrigue at all levels, and fabulous sets, it is the story of Captain David Shepherd, King Silas Benjamin and the Reverend Ephram Samuels. The sitting is the futuristic city of Shiloh.

There is growing romance between David Shepherd, the national hero, and King Silas's daughter, Michelle, who cares about the people. Her passion is to convince her father to institute universal health care for the kingdom. The growing tension between the spiritual leader of the nation, Reverend Samuels and its king is like a dance of dragons before the fire storm begins.

Butterflies play an integral part in this series. There is a scene where David is surrounded by butterflies as King Silas watches and wonders if David will replace him as king of Gilboa. General Linus Abner, military chief of staff, is concerned as well about David. Abner wants him out of the way-permanently.

Of course, you have Queen Rose Benjamin. She would give Lady Macbeth a run for her money. She is cool, calculating and lethal as well as poise, beautiful and intelligent.

A word has to be said about Jack Benjamin, heir apparent. He is a disappointment to his father and loves to party with his friends. He views David Shepherd with an envious eye-David is the son that King Silas always wanted. Jack sees how David is treated by his father and loved by the people. In fact, it was David who saved Jack in the beginning from the enemy forces which propelled David to the national hero status. David is the kind of man that Jack should be.

It is a drama with elements of science fiction, alternate realities, etc. It is sad that more viewers never made it a contender. Alas, ratings equal revenue, and revenue is what keeps the network in business. However, NBC is to be commended for airing this unconventional series in the first place.

It would be helpful to read I Samuel in the Old Testament in order to understand the references before sitting down to watch this excellent series. This review is based on the episodes which have aired. NBC is scheduled to air the remaining episodes beginning sometime in June.

Let's face it, "Kings" was too smart, too literary, and too good to succeed on network TV. Much like HBO's "Rome," "Kings" was exciting, epic, and way too expensive to succeed as anything other than an American-Idol-level ratings phenomenon. Since no scripted show on TV without "CSI" in its name can even come close to those numbers today, it was doomed to fail from the start. After all, why should a network spend millions of dollars PER EPISODE on a quality scripted drama that hardly anyone watches, when they can spend pennies on reality programming that lures in tens of millions of viewers each week?

The creators deserve much credit for conceiving an immersive, fully-realized world, and finding vital energy in a rarely-told Old Testament story. The cast is excellent -- and can be forgiven for occasionally using the stylized dialogue as an excuse to chew scenery. The cinematography, production design, and use of real NY locations are also well-executed in every episode, starting with Francis Lawrence's ("I Am Legend") thoroughly engaging 2-hour pilot.

"Kings" had a hell of a reign, however brief. We few, loyal fans can only hope that the Series DVDs sell enough copies to allow the creators to produce a made-for-TV or direct-to-DVD film that brings this story to the worthy ending we all want to see. - Tv Series - Ian Mcshane - David And Goliath - Biblical Fiction'

Dell Inspiron - dell battery, e1505

I bought this battery to replace the one in my Dell E1505. It arrived very, very fast. This seller actually cares about his customer and wants very much to make you happy.

The original battery that came with my Dell only lasted about 3 hours before it would go dead, then it died completely after 14 months. This battery fit my computer perfectly and I charged it exactly as the instructions that came with it said to do and I am happy to say that I am getting over 4 hours of life out it, which is even better than the original. Dell wanted almost $200 dollars for this replacement battery. I was very satisfied with the price that I paid for it with this seller. An amazingly low price and such great results.

I highly recommend this seller and this battery. I have no complaints at all.

Thanks! 11.10V,6600Mah,Li-Ion, Replacement Laptop Battery For Dell Inspiron 1501, Inspiron 6400, Inspiron E1505, Latitude 131L, Vostro 1000,

This battery arrived within 2 days of me ordering it, which is amazing. My old battery was the original that came with my Dell Inspiron 1501, and it had been pretty much shot for a while now. Even at its best, however, it only gave me 2 and half to 3 hours of power at full charge, on the Balanced power setting. With this battery on Balanced, I'm getting about 4 hours. Even on High Performance, I get 2 hours or so. I'm very satisfied with this battery, and the price can't be beat. Dell can take their ridiculous prices for replacement batteries and shove it where the sun don't shine. It is slightly heavier than the old battery, but unless you have the muscular strength of a wet noodle, it shouldn't be a problem.

I bought 2 dell replacement batteries recently. One for my own system and this battery for my wifes inspiron 6400. The one for my system gives me 1 hour of charge which is sufficient for my needs. I didn't expect this one to give any more but it performs as well or better than its original dell battery. We've only had it for a month or so but it gives 3 hours of charge reliably. We charged it up fully overnight as soon as we received it. I've since run the laptop several times for up to 3 hours without plugging it in and it works fine. It frequently runs netflix with volume on full so I've been surprised to reliably get the full 3 hours. If it works this well for 6 months and gives me a 1 hour charge for another 6 I will consider it a good purchase and would buy this one again.

It is indistinguishable from the original battery as far as the latpop is concerned. I've only given it 4 stars because we haven't had it long enough and durability is probably the most important thing.

A note re battery meter: The power meter in windows displays erratic and inaccurate results for the battery. With the battery fully charged it will show only 60% or so charged. After an hour of un-plugged in use it may show something like 27% and stay that way for the next 1 1/2 hours. I haven't looked at it recently so it may have settled down. I've yet to see the mystical art of battery charge assessment mastered by any device so I consider this irrelevant to a potential purchase.

I wanted to replace the (virtually dead) battery in my Dell Inspiron 1501, but couldn'e see paying nearly $100 for a computer I always use at home (arguably, because the battery is dead!). Anyway, I'm cheap and fairly suspicious of bargains, but positive reviews for this item conviced me to take a chance. I am really happy with it. First, it fits the computer just fine (there were some complaints that this was not the case for other Dell models), and the battery seems to work as it should. I get about 3-4 h of life from the battery, and have learned that laptops can be a little more convenient if you don't have to be tethered to the wall socket. Who knew? Anyway, I cannot speak for the durability of this battery, but I have used it for about 5 weeks with no degradation in performance. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a replacement battery for the 1501.

Needed a new battery for my Inspiron E1505. I bought one at a local store for $80 that would charge but not power the laptop at all, and this isn't the first time I've had trouble with batteries. This one arrived quickly, charged right up and I seem to get about 3 hours of use depending on what I'm doing. I'll probably have to replace this one in a year or so, but batteries just don't last long so that's reasonable. Dell wants $180 for it's own battery that is VERY poorly reviewed on the Dell website. Dell does offer a one-year replacement warranty, but for the price I can buy four of this one. I'm going to order another one just to have on hand. You can find batteries for less money, but the price and performance on this battery makes it well worth it.

I have noticed there are a lot of 1 star reviews from people who have a Dell Inspiron 1505 laptop, explaining how this battery does not work for them. I too have a Dell Inspiron E1505, (bought in the Summer of 2006) but this battery worked for me! My computer recognized it right away, charged it immediately, and the battery continues to work well. The battery life is great, I get about 3 hours no problem. My old battery had completely failed about 2 years after I got my laptop.I was running on AC power for 2 years before I got fed up and started shopping for a cheap(er) battery than Dell sells. I'm not sure as to why this works for some 1505's and not for others.

My only suggestion is to try it out, and if it doesn't work, just return it. (There is a good return policy with this seller, and they are backed by Amazon) That's exactly what my plan was except the battery has been working wonderfully! I'm sorry it didn't work for some of you. Good luck!

I have had this battery installed for about a month now and everything seems to in good working order. The laptop recognizes the battery and it lasts for approximately 2-3 hours. The laptop is generally used tethered to a wall outlet so the battery isn't exactly getting a workout, but so far it serves my purpose just fine for the price. - E1505 - Laptop Battery - Dell Battery - Dell Inspiron'

hanging folders - hanging folders

These Pendaflex Extra Capacity Hanging Expansion Folders, model number 04152X1, are disappointing.

As years go by the quality erodes for many products. Things are designed wear out as soon as feasible. Pendaflex folders used to be very nice quality. This current generation of Pendaflex appear to be made by the lowest Chinese bidder.

The old Pendaflex folders were sturdier and had a better quality of paper. The metal hangers were a stronger gauge.

The pressboard bottom needs to be installed by the user in a cut-out at the bottom, a really junky construction. One should expect a built-in reinforced bottom.

There is no info-pocket

Office Depot no longer offers Pendaflex. The Office Depot store brand is even shoddier quality. I guess the Office Depot low price for junk has pressured Pendaflex to lower its price and the quality in order to compete.

On the other hand, it does not appear that anyone else now makes a better quality product. Pendaflex Extra Capacity Hanging Folder, 25 Box, 1/5 Cut, 1 Expansion Letter, Green (04152X1) - Hanging Folders'

Cpu Processors

The processor is good, and runs great, but be mindful of the watt requirements of the processor. Even if your motherboard documentation states the motherboard supports that processor model 955, there are 2 versions of it. The 125W and the 95W processor. My motherboard only supports the 95W processor, so this specific processor worked, but very slow. In the end, I traded it with a friend for a slower processor that runs at 95W.

That was my mistake (so no negative ratings), and if you plan to buy this processor, check your motherboard website for the watts supported by the motherboard.

Other than that, the processor runs great, and is very fast. At least it runs great on my friends computer, and he likes overclocking. He's really happy with 'my' purchase at least.

So the product is good, but be mindful of the watts required and do not make the same mistake as me. AMD CPU HDZ955FBGMBOX Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz AM3 125W Retail

I am impressed with this processor at this price/performance range. It scored 7.3 on the Windows 7 benchmark test on bootup of a fresh Ultimate Edition install (not overclocked). It's running at a cool 39 degrees celsius with the Zalman aftermarket cooler (my experience with AMD OEM cpu coolers is that they are loud and barely passable so I am leaving it unopened in the box). I highly recommend this processor with any of the equipment below which I would happily award 5 stars when paired with it:

Cooler Master HAF 932 High Air Flow ATX Full Tower Case Black - (RC-932-KKN1-GP)

Gigabyte Socket AM3/AMD 880G/Hybrid CrossFireX/SATA3&USB3.0/A&V&GbE/ATX Motherboard GA-880GA-UD3H

Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC064MAG-1G1 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL

I like AMD. This processor is the best I have had. Even though I've only built two systems, this processor was everything I wanted and more. I will say that when I first put it to use it seemed to do the same amount of work as my dual core, til I looked online and read how to unleash the beast. Now I convert whole movies in under ten minutes. Which took 30-40 under my dual core. Works through everything I want it to.

I got this CPU for a new budget gaming build. Its essentially this CPU, an ASUS Micro ATX AM3 board, 4GB DDR-1600 memory, and a 5770 GPU.

I am using RaidMax SMilodon case, stock cooler and Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste.

Under stock conditions the GPU ran at 35C idle, and 49-50C load.

I than OCed it to the setting I wanted, 3.6GHz, and my idle jumped to 43-44C and load was 56-58C, which was way to much for me.

I than dropped it to 3.4GHz and my temps went to 39-40C idle and 52-54C load.

I than decided to see if dropping the voltage below stock would keep it stable at 3.4. It did and now at 3.4Ghz and 1.3V it dropped 33-34 and 46-48C load.

So unless I want to break 50C, which I dont, I am limited to 3.4Ghz with stock cooler and a descently well ventilated case. I know I can get a better cooler, but this a budget build, but I was still hoping for a little more :(

I recently did a major overhaul to my PC; upgrading from an AMD Athlon 64 3800+ 2.4 GHz single core to this was a huge leap in performance. Doing so required me to upgrade my mainboard and RAM as well.

Now, with my current specs, right out of the box, CPU usage while playing Batman - Arkham Asylum at full specs and resolution uses around 30% of my CPU resources. ME2 @ about 45% CPU resources.

Enabling AMD's "Cool'n Quiet" feature helps with the noisy OEM fan, reducing the core clock speed from 3200 MHz all the way down to 800 MHz and helps keep CPU core temp down as well. While in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit playing a movie in DTS at 1080p my core temp is about 35c. This quad core CPU is awesome.

Combined with expanded video, at least 4 GB of RAM and ample HDD space, you can have a pretty mean setup.

My overall rating? Awesome. Worth the $140.

CPUz reports the core voltage (stock) at 1.192 V, core speed at 799.9 MHz with a x4 multiplier. ( [...] )

Windows Experience Index reports the CPU at 7.3 (of 7.9).

Here's my system in a whole:

CPU AMD Phenom II x4 3.2 GHz 955 AM3 125w CPU

MSI 870-G45 ATX system board

4 GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (667 MHz) RAM

2.5 TB HDD (2 x 1 TB SATA, 2 x 250 GB IDE))

nVidia GeForce 9800 GT (eVGA) 512 GB GDDR3 (GPUc @ 600 MHz, Mem @ 900 MHz, Shader @ 1500 MHz)

BFG Tech 650 ATX PSU

Good performance. I already had a 940 processor so it wasn't any great step up in performance but I just upgraded the processor since I was giving this computer to a family member. Make sure you purchase a separate CPU cooler because this sucker is loud -- its louder than the stock cooler I had on my 940. Also the pins were bent in the upper right corner. I must have spent a couple hours trying to figure out if this processor was compatible with my motherboard until finally doing what I didn't want to do and bending the pins straight. I thought about sending it back but didn't want the hassle.

To sum it up: Make sure you buy a third party CPU cooler. And AMD packaging needs to do a better job of protecting the pins during shipping.

This is an excellent processor for gaming and multimedia programs. Haven't run 3ds or any other graphic rendering program but I'm fairly certain that it will surpass the needs on most programs and games. As a gamer on a budget, i chose this processor because of the overclocking capability and price. Little did i know that it does run quite hot, and could lead to future problems with the cpu and cooling of the computer. Pick up a third party cooler and your set. Very easy to overclock and an overall very good value. Currently overclocked to 3.82Ghz, the air flowing out of my computer is room temperature at the hottest. Given I only play WoW and Starcraft 2, these arent very demanding games, the processor doesnt really get taxed too hard.

Tech Tools - pliers, tool set

I was honestly kind of worried that these would be a waste of money because the price is cheap and normally tools that are cheap in price are also cheap in quality.

But not these!

These are great quality!

My husband has every tool and almost always buys craftsman tools since you can rely on the quality..and he says these are great

(these were not a gift so its not like hes saying they are great to make

me feel better.. lol... he bought these himself)!

They also come with sturdy handy case! HOMAK HT06801700 17-Piece Precision Pliers/Screwdriver Set

This product is cheaply made. I haven't used it all that much, so I don't know how long it is going to last, but I was disappointed in the quality. For example, I couldn't even get the case to zipper up.

Product details:

There are really only 16 pieces included. They count the case as the 17th piece.

There are 5 assorted pliers, and 11 screwdrivers. These include 2 flat-heads (3mm and 2.5mm), 2 Phillips(0 and 00), and 7 torx of various sizes. There is also a fabric case about the size of a thick notebook that has slots for each tool, and is supposed to fold up and zip shut.

UPDATE:

After using this set several times, I've realized that the quality of this set is terrible. The magnetic paint on the tips has started to chip off, and stubborn screws have completely twisted some of the heads. In addition, I've found that having only two size flatheads, and only two Phillips, really limits the uses of this set.

This is a very good set for those looking for a well-made set of precision pliers. While the bit selection is limited, the drivers are of fairly good quality, so you still have a good product here. The pliers are great though and perform quite well. I would go with another set if you are just looking for small torx and hex-type bits, but you would be hard pressed to find a better set of precision pliers for this price. That alone makes this set worthy of purchase.

My 2¢

Hi All,

Lately it would seem to me that screws are getting smaller and smaller. With that comes the need for smaller tools. Sure you can buy something for a few bucks and use it...but the quality is not there and you end up stripping screws....which we all know are a pain to get replaced. Case in point...new laptops with those mini screws....I stripped one that was a important screw and tried to find a replacement....much to my amazement it cost me $4.00 to replace one TINY screw. RIDICULOUS.

How can you avoid mishaps like mine....buy a good precision tool set that you can use.

I have purchased many precision tools and keep trying out different ones. This is the one SET that will finally make me happy and stay in my backpack/office 100% of the time. It is well built and includes most everything any electronics professional would need for simple repairs....small screws :-) - ETC.

Great price and great product.

5/5

I bought this kit to keep with me for on-the-go repairs, so I was more interested in having a number of decent quality tools in a case than anything else. In my shop I use a toolbox full of Swiss precision screwdrivers and pliers, and compared to them these were quite good. I would buy them again.

My main reason to purchase this product is because just recently I learned a lot about disassembling an iPhone. The other reason that i should keep it too is because i should have something handy and wide in selection if I start to pickup some other type of repair. This product suit my need, and it has everything that you should need to start your precision project. My only con about the product that it has a slight cheap plastic feel to it although it does not hinder its functionality.

The pliers are good and so are the screwdrivers. I was a little thrown off that there are only 2 phillips and 2 standard tip screwdrivers the rest are star bit and a few others. I haven't found a purpose for those yet.....I was expecting just different sized phillips and standards and maybe a few others but not 4 normal use and 8 that i don't know when I'll ever need. Case is great at keeping everything organized.

only the screw drivers in this set is useful to me. the quality of this set is very poor. there are excess metal every where, even on the edges of cutters. at first glance, you will notice that it's extremely low quality. to me, this set is a bad choice.

This set is not manufactured to quality standards. Two of the screwdrivers (a philips and a flathead) had shafts mounted off-center, leaving a devastating wobble in the screwdriver. I have not worked with the pliers or the torx drivers, but I won't get a chance to, either. These are going back.

My recommendation is to look for higher quality. I have enjoyed Wiha's precision tools like those linked below, and intend to pick up a set to replace this junk.

Wiha 26199 Slotted and Phillips Screwdriver Set in Rugged Canvas Pouch, 8 Piece

The tools are great. They are high quality. The case however, is a piece of crap. I received it damaged. The strap that holds the pliers down came undone on one side. I sowed it back down, only for the other side of the strap to come undone. I heard the same complaints from other reviewers. Disappointing. - Tool Set - Pliers - Tool Sets - Screwdriver Set'

Macbook Battery

I bought this as a replacement for my 13.3" black MacBook as an alternative to buying the $120 Apple OEM one. I was very disappointed when it arrived and it did not fit in the battery slot. It was too big. I assume some force could have maybe helped it, but why risk the damage to my MacBook when the battery should fit the item it was designed for. Also, it is not matte black, instead the battery is a high gloss black and will show in comparison to the rest of the body. I sent this back for a refund and just paid for the OEM one. Replacement Apple Black Macbook 13 Inch A1185 MA561, MA566 Series Battery

I brought this battery thinkin wow i'll save some money. Dont waste your time. Spend the extra on an official apple battery. Battery barely fits in slot and if it goes in your trackpad doesnt work correctly.

I am very pleased with the product that I ordered. At this point, my laptop is 5 years old so I could care less if the plastics, so that is ok. I am also so happy I finally have a fully functional battery that lasts quite a long time again. The one issue I have, is that when I bought this battery, I verified that it was the same model as what I have. I am also aware that some after-market products are not always the same. Knowing that, I went to put in the battery and I had to really work the lock so it would keep it in place. So, the space on the battery where the locking mechanism is inserted could be a bit better. So overall, I would give it a 95%.

I had returned the first one because it stopped taking a charge after 4wks. I exchanged it for another and guess what it to stopped working 5wks later. I then returned it and they slap me with a restocking fee. Why would you restock something that didn't work. Very dissatisfied with everything. Do your self a favor and don,t buy anything from this company.

I ordered the black mat finish macbook replacement battery, and they sent me the white glossy one, even though my invoice confirmed my order for black. Sure it fits and does the trick, but if having a rag-tag looking laptop set-up bothers you then be careful, because these people obviously do not put any effort into double checking their orders. Too much of an inconvenience for me to return, so now I look really ghetto in front of my graphic design clients. If you need a replacement battery for your macbook, shop around, there are plenty of other options online.

Battery was a perfect fit (the original worked, but started to bulge and damage keyboard and mouse operations) and has worked successfully for the past month. It looked OEM and the price is good. The original lasted just over a year before it started distorting, so if we get 6 months at this price we are on bonus time.

Since my wife typically uses the laptop plugged-in all the time, we may never find out the full ratings on this battery.'

Replacement Battery - nintendo ds lite, replacement

I've had my DS Lite since the unit was released, and my daughter and I have logged many hours on it. When it stopped holding a charge, I realized that I really didn't want to have to replace the whole unit--I like the GameBoy Advance slot in the front, and the new body style doesn't have this.

Enter the perfect, cheap, renewable energy source: this replacement battery pack. For just a few dollars, we're back on our feet and playing away. It arrived simply packaged, with the tiny tool for undoing the screw on the DS Lite's battery panel, and within about 2 minutes we were done and on the charger.

A great way to bring your DS back from the dead.

UPDATE: I bought this battery from Amazon in July 2009. The vendor assigned to provide it to me was BlueMall and they did a fine job with shipping--it's just the battery and screwdriver in a baggie, really, put in a padded envelope as I recall. It's now been almost two years and the last year or so has seen my daughter use the DS just about any chance she gets thanks to her discovery of the Pokemon games. She'll do long multi-hour sessions or take it with her in the car and leave the lid closed if she doesn't have time to save. The battery still seems to be holding up just fine. We periodically run it flat and then do an overnight charge. I know that typically helps for laptops, so maybe that's a good idea with the DS, too... Rechargeable Replacement Battery Pack For Nintendo DS Lite

Despite claiming more than half as much capacity as the factory-supplied battery, the battery only lasts me about two hours per charge. I'll be switching back to the OEM as soon as possible.

Update: I tore off the sticker and found the cell inside is manufactured by TMB, product number 063048. According to the manufacturer, this battery is only capable of a 700mah charge, NOT the 2000 advertised. Do not waste your time with this battery, go for a more reputable option, like the OEM.

This rechargeable replacement battery pack has come in very handy. My daughter really enjoys her DS Lite and quickly wore out the original battery pack provided by Nintendo. After numerous searches in local retail stores, I decided to turn to the web for a solution. What I found was this excellent battery that comes with a handy screwdriver to help you replace the original battery in the DS Lite unit.

This particular battery sits perfectly in the DS Lite, and holds its charge for a very long time.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced non-Nintendo option for replacing a dead battery pack.

We have had a DS Lite for a while, and recently it stopped holding a charge. This battery seemed like a reasonable solution to our problem. It installed easily, shipped promptly, and holds charge without any problem.

If you need a replacement battery for a DS Lite you won't be unhappy with this purchase. It comes with a small screwdriver to help remove and reseal the battery cover. The entire process took only a minute or two and the DS Lite was back up and running.

This battery looks very similar to the old DS Lite battery, but had more English writing on it.

It fits, and it works. However, the power rating on it states 1600mWh and it did not last as long as the original DS battery which is 1000mWh. My son charges it at least once a day and he only plays it once a day for about 45 minutes. The DS battery would go for several days to a week before charging.

Replaced the original Nintendo battery with this one, which claims greater capacity than the original. However, I've found that I can get 1-2 hours of playtime out of this battery, at most, before it goes dead, which is nowhere even near the original battery's life.

I'm hoping that the battery works as expected and isn't a refurbished/reused/repackaged battery because it doesn't come in the pack as shown in the image. It came in a tiny plastic baggy instead. I guess I'll find out if it works when I give it to my NDS playing mother.

I bought this battery hoping to give new life to my dead DS Lite. It turns out that the battery was not the issue, but the battery sent works well with my other DS so it's not at fault. My only issue is with the little screwdriver they send with the battery. It almost completely ruined the head of the screw. I had to use a knife to undo the screw. The screwdriver is a piece of junk. I recommend using a knife or an eyeglass screwdriver instead. The battery works well though. - Replacement - Battery - Replacement Battery - Nintendo Ds Lite'
