Good staple gun, great price. Pressure is adjustable so you can back it off on thin wood so it doesn't apply too much power on thin wood, but you can crank it up for thicker, harder surfaces. Just be aware this is not a heavy-duty staple gun. I would classify it as "medium duty." I have had no problem putting a variety of staples into plywood and 2x4s, though I had some trouble with some harder, waferboard-type material. Refurbished - 130s, tomtom one

This is my first GPS purchase. I researched various products at wildly different pricepoints on the web before choosing the refurbished TomTom One-130-S. While it may not have all of the bells and whistles of the more expensive models, it is very functional. I was somewhat disappointed that TomTom's "Latest Map Guarantee" does not apply to refurbs, but a call to customer service led me to find that the unit's map was only about six months old...so no problem. I've tested the unit on destinations that I normally travel and found that when I deviate from the suggested route, the TomTom quickly recalculates wihout insisting on making a U-Turn. I've also used it on trips to unfamiliar areas and was very pleased with the quality of the direction.The feature of having the voice identification of street names is definately worth the few extra bucks over the standard One-130. The Good News: Mine arrived in new condition, no way to tell it was refurbished except the box says "Road Tested" (i.e. someone took it for a drive before they returned it, so you could buy it!) and it includes a note in the box saying it has a 6-month limited warranty and that you'd have to return it directly to TomTom. The text-to-speech (TTS) where it reads the street names works well, though a bit wordy with highway exits (e.g. "Turn right ahead, take Exit 1 South onto Route 91, Route 10 connector" is a lot of words to listen to for a single turn.)



The Bad News: Another review here said his map was 9 months out of date. At that point I could have canceled my order because that didn't seem to far out. But my unit's maps are 15 months out of date, which is too long. Even worse for me, their MapShare technology will only work with maps less that 12 months old, so that new technology I'd wanted to try won't work.



This unit only comes with 3 voices (my original TomTom ONE 300 included 9-12 voices).



The mini-USB connector in the base is very sticky/picky and it takes a little bit to plug it in. At least at first.



But to me, the savings of buying the refurbished unit is totally negated by having very old maps and no access to MapShare. So I spent $60 to update the US/Canada maps, which made my total cost $10 more than if I'd bought the new unit! :-(

DON'T use a Mac to update the TomTom using TomTom Home, because the "spotlight" feature on the Mac screws it up, which will make your device show a flashing X (basically, error). I played with it for a few hours, before I gave up. Came into work the next day, and hooked it up to my PC there. Called Tech Service. They told me all I had to do was uninstall the TomTom Application and reinstall on the PC and all would be well. Worked. So, in short:



1. Use a PC to do all of your TomTom updates. Right out of the box you will need to update some features via TomTom home [...]



2. Your map will be out of date, because it is a refurb. To get the updated map without paying go to the "Tools" menu on TomTom Home (it is in the tool bar at the top of your screen). Clicked on "Use Newest Map Guarantee." I clicked on that, and it said that there was a newer map available and to click on "Download" to download and install it now. It will take over an hour, because the new map is 872 MB. Not sure if this works more than once, but it will save you the $50 you would otherwise spend if you purchased the updated map. I see some on this review panel did just that.

Navigationally, it works well. Have no problems with set up or anything else. However, I am disappointed that there is only one choice for "computer" voice ("Samantha")I can use for the device. According to manufacurer, the "regular" voice choices will not allow you to use the spoken street name feature, which is why I bought this "S" model in the first place. Claims the 100's of unique voice choices available for DL on Tom Tom web site for navigational directions will not enable the spoken street name feature for the "S" model. All in all, it's still worth what I paid for it.

Description neglects to notify you that you will receive the improved locking window mount (actually works), USB adapter, car charger but not the home charger.

This is a great GPS and particularly like the built in mount so there's 1 less piece to take. It is fast and re-routes fast. Very intuitive. Only wish it would tell you the destination was on your left or right hand side as you approach the destination.

I just got mine and installed Home and was getting annoyed that it looked like it wasn't going to give me my free update. It certainly wanted to sell me the update though... I was just about to pack it up and send it back to Amazon. I then found and followed the instructions from another review, now pasted below -- and it worked. Got my free map. Go get it!!



"Following the other reviewers instructions, I clicked on the "Tools" menu in the toolbar at the top in "TomTom Home" and found an option for "Use Newest Map Guarantee." I clicked on that, and it said that there was a newer map available and to click on "Download" to download and install it now. I did that and 2 hours later I had my new map, free and clear. I don't understand why they make it so difficult to find it, but it is there. "

Got my Tomtom 130S yesterday, main part and accessories looks new/unused. Read some reviews having old maps, I got to update my unit with the latest map available for FREE with no problem. No special step made (call Tomtom or anything) just plugged it to the PC then followed the update instruction. I still haven't road tested it, will update review after. I also own a Garmin 260 (paid $250 for it last year! but also happy with this unit) so I'm still getting used to the program layout difference. So far, I'm happy with the unit.



** Update

Used it last week from Atlanta to Destin, Florida... no problem, all the roads were accurate, even for the small roads. IMHO, definitely better than my old Garmin 260.

One small problem, the travel distance on long roads the voice will say something different like "travel 110 miles" when the display is only around 90 miles. My wife and I thinks that the voice will say the length before actually turning but display is the length of the current road, it might not the additional road length if it changes road name without turning. Whatever the reason, it kinda feels weird hearing something and reading something different. Makes you feel the unit is not accurate, although we experienced no problem the whole trip. I purchased this for use with my new Canon T2i. I use it primarily for shooting full resolution 1080p video, although I shoot stills as well.



The camera choked on the class 4 chip that I originally purchased, but with this one, it is amazing. I can shoot rapidfire 18 megapixel stills (I've tested it up to 30+ shots in a row), and there is no lag. I've never had an error when shooting hi-def video.

I bought this card for my Canon T1i. The card I had been using before ordering this one was a Kingston Class 6 micro sd card and it worked well enough for the type of shooting I did. Class 6 was the card speed that Canon recommended when I bought my T1i (Class 10 cards were not yet available) and it seemed fast enough for the way I used my camera - isolated single photos taken at Medium (8 MP) or Large (15 MP) jpg settings and 1280 x 720 video. And while I ocassionally took continuous photos, I had never much exceeded 5-10 photos in a row and had never run into a problem with my Class 6 card.



When I first saw the Class 10 cards I did some experiments with my camera. How many continuous Large photos could I take before the camera slowed down? It turned out to be about 30. And how many RAW photos could I take before the camera slowed down? It turned out to be about 9. SInce I did not generally take any photos in RAW and never needed more than about 10 continuous photos at Large, the Class 6 card seemed more than sufficient for my needs. But I wondered about the speed of the Class 10 cards enough that I finally bought one.



It turns out that the Class 10 card is sufficiently fast that there does not seem to be a reasonable upper limit on single Large photos. I have taken 60 on continuous without an issue. And although I still cannot take more than 9 RAW photos on continuous with the Class 10 card, when I am finished taking those photos the camera no longer displays a Wait - writing pictures screen. The RAW photos get written from the built-in memory to the card so quickly that the camera does not need to display the Wait screen.



So this card is fast! Given the way I take photos this purchase was unnecessary, but still I am glad I bought it. I know I will not run into a situation where speed is an issue with this card.

I will be writing this review for both SanDisk Extreme SDHC class 10 8gb and Transcend SDHC class 10 16gb.



I bought SanDisk class 10 and Transcend class 10 for my new Panasonic LX5. I got both card because no one really did a comparison with a compact camera and I was just going crazy trying to see if there is any big difference between the 2 cards.



SanDisk Extreme package box indicated it's water proof, x-ray proof, shock proof, temperature proof. I am not ready to spend $50 to see if it really stand up to it's words. And I don't think normal people would go through the extreme condition in taking pictures or videos.



Cut the story short, I really want to see if there is any difference in writing performance between the 2 cards in a compact camera. There is a continuous burst mode in LX5 and the manual indicated it is only limited by the condition of picture environment and performance of the SD card. Within the mode there are 2 different settings:1) speed priority or 2) picture/quality priority. The shutter speed is much faster with speed priority compare to picture priority.



I first formatted both cards out of box then put each card in series of test(3 rounds each setting for each card) shooting at the same object under same lighting condition. The results:

Speed Priority:

SanDisk Class 10 8gb

22-33 shots before camera stopped to allow the card to catch up with writing.



Transcend Class 10 16gb

22-24 shots before camera stopped to allow the card to catch up with writing.



Picture priority

SanDisk Class 10 8gb

34-46 shots before camera stopped



Transcend Class 10 16gb

27-33 shots before camera stopped





It seems that at a higher shutter speed, both cards performed very similar under the same shooting condition. But at a slower shutter speed the SanDisk definitely out perform Transcend. I hope this little experiment satisfied anyone with curiosity like me. Transcend definitely is a bargain with 16gb and almost half of the price compare to SanDisk. But I am going to use SanDisk Extreme as my primary card and Transcend as backup or on a second camera to ensure i would not miss any shots.

OK. this card was around $47 for a class 10 16gb. The other card i bought was a Sandisk class 10 8gb for the around same price. I did a 10 sec stop watch test on both cards with my Rebel T1i on raw and the Sandisk was only faster by 1 shot in a 10 sec burst. to me it seems trivial to pay 47 bucks for a Sandisk 8gig when you can get 16 gigs for the same price. yes i know, the Sandisk is good for arctic and desert temperatures... but i live in western NY... not Antarctica or the Sahara. If your looking for a good card, with more gigs for your buck, the Transcend is well worth it.

The "C10" is for "minimum sustaining speed" of 10mbps. The sustaining speed is critical if you're using for HD camcorder. There is other brand card that is also c10 but it costs more (2x) for its print of 30mbps on the card. It leads consumers into thinking that the higher price is worth for the 30mbps. However, the 30mbps is the "burst" speed. Burst speed is critical for HD camera and for doing copies. I have a HD camcorder and I'm very satisfied with this card after many hours for recording. I bought this card to do 100% of recording so it is the right price. I would buy the other high price brand card of 30mbps if I will do a lot of picture taking. I bought this after reading the reviews, knowing that it seemed like you either "won" and got a great little unit that worked a treat, or you "lost" and got a bad one. We lost. Fortunately, as seems typical with this machine, it failed right out of the box - a much better thing that having it fail a few months out, after the return period is over. We shipped it back and are awaiting a refund (we couldn't do an exchange).



The machine we replaced it with, a region-free Pioneer DV-220V-K, was also purchased on Amazon for about half again more money. It works great. iView-102DV Region Free Universal DVD Player

I bought this due to the low price and my desire to watch some DVDs I have from New Zealand that won't play on my current dvd player.



I LOVE the form factor. It is so very small and looks like a nice piece of equipment. It has blue lights on the front when it is plugged in and matches all of my other equipment.



The player is simple to set up and works well for the most part. However, when I used component cables, the image was pinkish-red. I tried two sets of cables as well as multiple component inputs on my television, but the image was still red. When I used RCA cables, the image was fine. However, I want to use my component cables. So, today I submitted a return for this product being defective.



I am going to try another one and hope for the best, as I do like how tiny this is and the affordability. I'm taking a chance and crossing my fingers!

I recommend this unit.

Great DVD player with a clear, vibrant picture. Impressive features for the money. As with many low-cost units the remote control is the weak point. In fact mine has already died, but I still want to keep the player. Unfortunately my trusty old GE 24950 universal remote doesn't have a code that works for it. So far I haven't found any universal remotes online that list codes for IView. My web search only came up with other people looking for IView remote codes. It's a new brand, so maybe soon... if you get it to work with a universal remote, please post about it!

Pros: The DVD player works great, it's very compact, and it's easy to use. The remote has a TON of buttons on it, but there's lots of little fun things you can do (you can make the sound more flat or sharp...I don't know what the real purpose of that is, but it's fun to make people's voices really high-pitched or low!). It is also relatively inexpensive, which is always a plus!





Cons: There are a lot of features on the remote, but if you lose the remote (hopefully that never happens to me!), you are limited to the things on the face of the DVD player: play, stop, and eject. Also, the remote doesn't come with batteries (2AAA). It's not a big deal, but just an FYI (I didn't have any AAA's on-hand- minor inconvenience). Finally, the main reason I give this DVD player 4 stars: the display is BRIGHT blue. Whether the DVD player is on or off, the buttons on the front stay that color unless you unplug the machine. It's something to keep in mind if you're planning on keeping it in a bedroom where you may need total darkness to sleep!



Despite these cons, it works great and like I said, it's a good price. If you can handle the bright blue display, it's well worth purchasing.

I JUST GOT THIS MONDAY AND HOOKED IT UP. IT WAS SO EASY!!! WHEN I SAW HOW SMALL IT WAS, MY FIRST THOUGHT WAS, "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR." WELL I WAS WRONG!!! THIS LITTLE DVD PLAYER LOADS UP QUICKLY & PLAYS ALL MY FOREIGN DVD'S I BROUGHT BUT COULD NOT WATCH AND THE PICTURE AND SOUND IS GOOD. I CAN'T WAIT TO HOOK SPEAKERS TO IT. IT ALSO PLAYED A FILE NONE OF MY OTHERS WOULD READ. I FINALLY GOT TO SEE MY SISTERS RETIREMENT PARTY FROM LAST YEAR. PLUS IT HAS A SHUT OFF BUTTON AND I LOVE THE BLUE LIGHTS. I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT WILL LAST BUT RIGHT NOW I LOVE IT OVER MY EXPENSIVE DVD PLAYERS.

Highly disappointed. I bought this for a Christmas gift, hooked it up loaded a dvd and it wouldn't play. Wouldn't even open so I could get the dvd back. I had to take off the top just to retrieve the disc. Horrible product.

I bought this dvd player only to watch series 1 of Misfits from the UK. The packaging was great but the unit would not turn on. I returned it and will try to purchase another one. Hopefully the second one will work.

This is great.



Granted, it's cheap, and it's not exactly going to win awards, but for the price it really is a great product.



It's tiny - about the size of two paperback books I guess.



It plays all regions (well, at least UK and USA, as that's what I have) with no fuss, picture quality on my little LCD TV is fine, sound is fine, remote works well, and it has more connections than I need, so all good. It is very basic though - no clock on the front panel, pretty cut down options, but as I said, for the money you really can't pick too much fault with it.



Dropped a star on Sound Quality because it occasionaly loses sync, but pausing and resuming (or rewinding for a couple of seconds) fixes it, so no big deal.

My old region-free DVD players died (at least they were cheap), so I needed a new player. At less than $40, I was a little wary, but decided to give it a try. It's very compact, which worried me at first glance. I connected the component video out (it has composite too!) and audio out and gave it a spin. Big pink picture. Uh-oh, but then I remembered reading another Amazon review that said this can be fixed by changing the video mode (preset for composite) using the V-Mode button on the remote. Sure enough, it worked great. Picture is good, audio is good, and everyone's happy. I bought this set of tools to take apart an old film camera I had lying around. I chose these tools because of the price. The build quality of the screwdrivers is pretty decent for the price. The only downside is that if you have a screw that is stuck really tight, it is very hard to get enough grip and put a lot of torque on the small screwdriver handles. Overall, I am satisfied with the product, but if I had to buy again, I would've chosen something with a larger handle. TEKTON 2987 Precision Screwdriver Set, 16-Piece

Can't believe these are TEKTON by MIT 2987 Precision Screwdriver Set, 16-pc.an expanded version of the same tools I've had for 40 years. Great for little things like eyeglasses and calculators and for mini-Allen wrench needs. Got one each for my kids and took a third for my mountain house since it became essentially free with Super Saver shipping. Only missed 5 stars because of a reviewed tendency of the shafts to pull loose from the handles (fixes fine with Super glue)and for the small slotted drivers to chip. Caution! If your hand slips you can poke nasty little holes in your fingers with these.'

Well folks, now that the dust has settled from the Sony vs. Immersion lawsuit, Playstation 3 owners are finally able to feel the vibe again!



I purchased this controller today and I knew the only way to properly road-test it was on the game that made the Dualshock famous, Metal Gear Solid. After booting up the game, I walked down the hallway and got spotted by a guard. As he shouted, "WHO'S THAT?" the controller jumped in my hand - and I knew this was a smart purchase. As the guards shot at me, I felt the feedback of the bullets, just as I had 10 years ago on my Sony Playstation.



I picked out another old school Playstation game, Tenchu: Stealth Assassins. From Ayame's blades to Rikimaru's sword, each sword swipe and jump had excellent feedback.



Okay, so my Playstation games worked out. But what about my Playstation 2 library?



I popped in God of War, knowing I had to feel the swing of the Blades of Chaos. The controller vibrations felt a little lighter here, but the vibrations still occurred at the appropriate times.



Then I chose Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction. Who better to test a vibration controller than the Sultan of Smash? All the power jumps and smashes had the vibrations intact, but they still felt a little on the light side.



All right, so far I was two for two with my Playstation and Playstation 2 test subjects. But what about my Playstation 3 games? Could I possibly hit a trifecta?



I put in Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and I decided to jump right into a heated firefight. The controller gave me feedback while shooting weapons and getting hit by enemy fire, but I knew my purchase was justified when Drake was near death: I FELT THE DUALSHOCK 3 PULSING IN SYNCH WITH DRAKE'S HEARTBEAT. It's one thing to hear that noise and know he's near death, it's quite another to feel the pulse in my own hands.



Okay, so the feedback on the older games was there, but a little lighter than I remember. The reason? Well, when I decided to go wireless on my Playstation 2 system, I bought a Logitec Dualshock controller. It turns out, that controller takes two "AA" batteries, and the vibration motors inside the controller handles are slightly larger than the ones in the Dualshock 3. That's where I felt the difference.



The Dualshock 3 vibrations may be slightly less than the Logitec controller, but it doesn't require the purchase of batteries.

The Dualshock 3 may be slightly heavier than the SixAxis, but it doesn't take up any extra space at all.



Sure, the price is about $15 more than the SixAxis, but it's a worthy upgrade for the Playstation 3 gamer who kicks it old school as well as new school. The only other drawback is the lack of an additional USB cable - but we can use the one that came with the system itself.



So what's the final verdict?



Order it, plug it in, charge it up, and get ready for the inevitable downloads from the Playstation Store to make the older PS3 games Dualshock 3 compatible.



I wouldn't recommend a feedback peripheral without providing my own feedback...

I was already extremely happy with the Sixaxis controller, but I could not resist getting the DualShock 3. Not only do you get the rumble, but also, it feels much better in your hands, even for those games that do not use this feature. The rumble function is fun, but on top of that, it helps with gameplay, because "feeling" what is happening provides a lot more feedback than just watching how your character or car reacts to the environment.



The biggest surprise of all was that the rumble works with PS 2 games in the PS 3 system. I am currently playing through "God of War", a game which had the rumble capability in PS 2. I thought that it was unlikely that I was going to get this feature with this new controller in the PS 3, but it worked perfectly.



I know that having to buy a new controller and basically discard the one that came with the system is not the ideal situation, but I have to say this product is really worth shedding the extra bucks.

The Playstation 2's highly regarded DualShock 2 controller was considered by many to be the best videogame controller of all time. So when you've got a winning design there's no need to change anything. However, because of a legal battle with Immersion over rumble technology, Sony was forced to offer their Sixaxis controller without rumble. The Sixaxis had the same Dualshock design but it felt too lightweight and cheap. Thankfully the lawsuit has been settled and rumble has come back to the Playstation.



For the most part, the DualShock 3 is almost identical to its PS2 precessor. But it has all the features of the original Sixaxis controller in addition to rumble. The controller is still wireless, can be charged by plugging it into your PS3 (or PC), rumble is compatible with all PS1 and PS2 games, and the PS3 supports up to 7 controllers at the same time via bluetooth. Rumble in the DualShock 3 seems more responsive in regards to the location of its vibration depending on which side you get hit on during the games. I don't know if this is something in the design or if it's the developers doing it for the games but I welcome it.



All in all this is currently the best designed controller on the market right now. The PS2's DS2 was incredible so "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" applies here. I'll be enjoying rumble in my PS3 games from now on.

Do not buy the pink controller from Digistore, It is a fake, the joysticks are very stiff the buttons are taller and with dull ink, it also has a hard time syncing with console. Battery last 5 minutes tops. The sticker on the back is simply paper, not the plasticized decal on authentic sonys. Apearence-wise its a good fake, but use it and you'll know All the classic signs of a counterfeit. this isn't worth $5, much less $45 and two weeks of waiting. I have purchased just about every laminate floor cleaner on the market and have not really liked any of them. When I tried this stuff I stopped looking. My house has very large areas of light colored maple floors. They are beautiful when shiny, but most floor cleaners seem to leave a dull haze. We have almost 90 year old floors, and I feel comfortable using this product on them several times a week. It smells great, does the job, and is environmentally friendly. Even more importantly, it is non-toxic, and friendly for my entire family (even the furry members).

This product is great for the weekly maintenance of bathroom and kitchen floors. I use it after vacuuming the floors, and it does a great job. Just a squirt and microfiber scrubber or cloth and your done.
