Ridgid Jointer Blades - jointers, knife-setting jigs

I ordered the Freud C400 6-1/8-by-11/16-by-1/8-Inch Jointer Knives as a replacement for my 1950s era Craftsman Jointer. They arrived promptly and in excellent condition.

I had a little difficulty in installing them due to the fact that they were actually 6-3/16 inches long instead of the advertised 6-1/8. Other dimensions were accurate. I was able to install them and they are performing satisfactorily, however the extra length does not allow any freedom in installation which will shorten their life by not allowing me to shift position slightly when the inevitable nicks occur.

I will try another manufacturer next time with the hope that they will be closer to the advertised dimensions. Freud C400 6-1/8-by-11/16-by-1/8-Inch Jointer Knives, 3-Pack

Bought these knive to replace the ones in my ridgid jointer! right out of the box they had a curl on them and needed to be honed! Should have sent them back but I needed them immediately. After only an hour or so of use they are completely curled over and so dull they chatter the wood. Very dissapointed in the product, spend the money and get a good set if you plan on using them at all!

Needed replacements for my ridgid jointer. These look identical and are exactly the same dementions. They are razor sharp and mount in there perfectly. Have not had a chance to try them yet but I have Freud blades in my table saw and router and they hold up great so I would expect the same from these. I have learned not to be too hard on jointer blades. Don't cut deeper than you have to and check your blades often. I didn't bother to check them till I was getting bad cuts and was amazed at how badly I had worn them down.

A friend of mine brought over a Sears 6 1/8 jointer he found in the garbage. It was covered in rust and the motor was missing. I decided to rebuild it at almost the cost of a new one. Sears wanted $36.99 for the blades plus shipping and tax. I decided to take a chance on these blades for $17.11 from Amazon. The blades are a perfect match to the old blades. If you have a Sears 6 1/8 Jointer Model#113206931, these blades will fit, but always measure the size of the old blades to be sure. Since Sears made several different models of jointers.

I restored an old Craftsman 6" jointer I inherited from a friend of the family and I was surprised to find the exact replacement knives from Freud. This jointer is an early 1950's model and with the new knives leaves as good a finish as I good possibly want. Excellent product as are all of the Freud products I have.

I used these on my Ridgid JP0610 Jointer and they are at least as good as the blades that came with the unit. They already have little nicks in them, which is about what the stock blades did too. For the price they are very reasonable. If you want basically the same blades that came with your Ridgid, these work fine. They are not an upgrade, but may very well be the most cost effective solution. I bought a couple sets to make sure I don't run out again. As always they were shipped promptly and arrived on time and un damaged. - Jointers - Freud - Knife-setting Jigs - Ridgid Jointer Blades'

Networking - computer cables, ethernet cables

Both major ethernet suppliers in this area are loath to make home calls just for a ethernet cable. Confined to a residential care home means I have to do most of my "shopping" on the net. When this ethernet cable arrived and it was hooked up, this little Aspire One computer picked up speed about 50% right away. It costs a _lot_ less that what Comcast charged for the visit. A good cable is essential, from what I've read and this one appears to be good for years. A very good buy and well worth the few dollars it cost. Mediabridge - Red RJ45 Computer Networking Cat5e Ethernet Patch Cable - (15 Feet)

The snag-proof thing isn't exactly what's pictured. Instead, it's a firm flap the same width as the prong you use to disconnect the cord over it. Not a big deal, considering it's still excellent snag-proofing, and I don't really need snag-proof. Excellent cable, as I bought it so I could match it to my red Xbox. Works wonderfully, and I haven't lost connection through it.

The price of this cable was great, but the connection is pretty horrible. If I move my laptop the slightest bit, the cable slides out. Does it work? Yes. But even a functioning cable is worthless without a decent connector. I think you could find better at the same price level.

Don't over pay for Ethernet (or HDMI). Many people do. Don't get too cheap. Many people do this too. Dollar store Ethernet Cables will not work well.

I bought two of these 15' Mediabridge cables. They are solid, good cables for an unbeatable price. I use both Ethernet and Wireless in my home. I find that no matter what router you buy, a $18 TP-Link or a far more expensive Linksys, Netgear or D-Link, wireless is security risky (unless your network is located in a rural area) & it is unreliable in urban settings. There is just too much interference. Speeds vary different times of the day and different days of the week. Disconnect will happen. With the ever growing supply of free software that simplifies cracking Network security measures, no matter what you do your network will be penetrated, people will connect and use your Internet which will slow you down. I simply do not have these problems using Ethernet. Important Internet use I do only on an Ethernet connected computer.

I use long cables. Two 15' and two 75 foot. Replacing a 75' cable in a house is work, unless you simply throw it down and make people negotiate a cord all the time. I demand quality cable for two reasons, time lost replacing them and I want the Internet speeds I pay for. Its insane to pay over $100 for a Monster Cable. Its just as unproductive to buy a $6 75' cable off eBay or from a local discount store. Mediabridge cables are quality cables for a reasonable price. Its that simple. - Ethernet Cables - Cat5 - Ethernet - Computer Cables'

Kids Packpacks - backpacking, skip hop

This small backpack is cute in appearance, but poor in quality for the price. The handle does not stay up and is flimsy. The antennae get in the way of the zipper, which is small and makes it hard to get things in and out. If my granddaughter did not love it, I would return it for another type of backpack with wheels that we can really pack her things in when she travels. This is more of a play thing. Stephen Joseph Girls 2-6x Girl's Rolling Backpack, Owl, One Size

I purchased this to use for travel and I'm returning it because it won't work for my daughter and I to use together. She's only 2 and I would be the one retrieving and replacing her items. I could see that this would be okay for a child to use independently but the zippered opening is not that large and near impossible for my hands to get things in and out comfortably.

The design is very cute and appears to be well made but I can't speak for how it holds up after use. - Backpacking - Kids Backpacks - Preschool - Skip Hop'

Accessory Kits - charging caddy, charging station

This is a very nice charging valet. It is nicely put together and stained well. It is a good size so that all the cords should fit into the valet. My only concern is why did you use a picture of your product that didn't show what it looks like very well? I took a chance because it had all the features I was looking for and that turned out ok but because of the picture, I almost didn't. Charging Valet Cherry

This looked just as it is pictured, however the power strip only allows two to three of our chargers to be plugged in at one time. (There are 5 outlets) the outlets are turned so the chargers cover the outlet next to it. It is cumbersome to unplug devices and lift the lid to switch out the plug so the next device can be charged.

I received this as a gift and I had just purchased one a week before, so I needed to return this one, I thought about keeping it but the power strip in the back is set to where you can only plug 2-3 charging cords in when there are five plugs, very little room in the compartment the strip is kept in also. The box the charger was in was all broke apart when I received it.

The station itself was $40. When I contacted the seller to return it they gave me an ATR number and stated I had 10 days and it would cost the buyer 15% for them to take it back (he got back $29, so tell me how right that was as it cost him $11 for me to have them take it back), well I got sick that week and was house-bound and needed another number.

They gave it to me and reminded me that "shipping would come out of my pocket". I had no intention of letting them pay for the shipping to begin with and didn't appreciate the comment. Now my brother is out 15% ($11) for me having to return this product that was not worth the money they sold it for, I have seen better on Amazon for a lot less money, and I was insulted in the process. I don't recommend this seller to anyone, especially when they won't even take their own product back without you paying them to take it back and sending it out in a box that was not even together.

My daughter and son-in-law wanted a charging valet that would work for all their devices including I-phones. They were very satisfied with this valet. It charges all their phones and other devices. Great Christmas gift.

It is nice in appearance but that is about where it ends. If the designer had only made it about 2 inches wider, taller and deeper then this would be a perfect design.

The surge protector internally is as tiny as you can get. The plugs are positioned at the wrong angle to use almost any plug adapter except for the tiny solid state devices which almost no manufacturer uses.

You can get the Power Strip Liberator but even with those the most you can barely fit is four of the five plugs and you have to wrap the cords out one backside hole and back into another or you can only fit 3 devices. The caddy is almost ridiculously small. Also the power cord to the surge suppressor that is built-in is only about 2.5 feet long and almost useless as well.

While we are using the device and I managed to cram in 4 plugs and adapters the top is not laying flat like it is designed. It will work for us but I am not exactly happy with it. We didn't see anything else that looks better to swap it out for. So I guess we will use it till we see something better in a real store that we can touch and examine close up.

The way this device is advertised is misleading.

I purchased 2 of these iessntials Charging Valets as Christmas Gifts to give to family members who I thought could actually use them. I purchased through Amazon.com 5 days before X-mas and hoped that I would receive them by Dec. 24. I got 1 on Dec. 30 (almost a week after X-mas) and had to e-mail the Vendor (through Amazon.com) to ask about the second. After sending 2 e-mails with no response and a threat to report the business to BBB & Amazon.com, the vendor finally sent me a e-mail saying they were shipping the 2nd Valet. I received that on Jan. 8, 2010 (2 weeks after X-mas). When I rec'd the 1st Valet, I was so unimpressed with it I decided not to give it to the intended recipient. The Valet itself is smaller than what I thougt it would be and if the electronic devices you are charging have those large plug-in adapters, they won't all fit in this Valet. The quality of it is also not worth the price of this product. The small drawer at the bottom does not pull out straight so it gets stuck when you pull it. There's 2 small dowels keeping the drawer from pulling out all the way and they already fell out. The so-called "leather" surface of this Valet where you put your devices is actually cheap vinyl. I ended up keeping the second Valet because I was too embarassed to give this as a gift. Maybe next X-mas I will give it to someone I don't really care for and let them get frustrated with this overpriced junk. I should have known not to buy this when the only picture that was shown of this product was half of the box that it came in. I could have gotten a similar product for 1/3 of the cost at Target.

Product delivered on time and in perfect condition. It fits phones, bbs, bluetooth, car and house keys, plus some coins and business cards. It does its job and keeps my kitchen desk more organized. Only negative is that I had to use an adapter to charge 4 electronics because the charger doesn't fit all plugs. - Charging Station - Accessory Kits - Charger Caddy - Charging Caddy'

Fasteners - fasteners

After having used both Bostitch and Hitachi cap staplers I can say without a doubt that the Bostitch caps are the best. They work in Bostitch cap staplers without a problem, are easy to load, and are inexpensive. Not only do the Hitachi caps occasionally tear through, sometimes they do not release from the roll easily. The Bostitch caps never tear through and are individually stacked on the stick.

The biggest advantage I have found however, is that you can drop a stick in your nail pouch and pinch off individual caps to use with a standard staple gun. Many times you will find that your cap stapler will not fit where you want to place a staple, but a smaller staple gun will. This is especially handy when hanging insulation in tight spaces. By holding a cap in place when you staple, you can prevent the staple from tearing through the backing on the insulation. (Of course once the nose of the staple gun is on the cap, you want to move your finger before pulling the trigger.) The Bostitch caps will also work with brads. They are just made of tougher plastic than roll caps.

So the Bostitch caps are not only more versatile, but you will never have a staple tear through. While they are a little more expensive than roll caps, they are a better value overall. Especially if you need the retention of a staple cap when using a standard staple or brad gun.

If you own a Bostitch cap stapler then these caps are your only choice. If you don't own a cap stapler then you can use these caps individually with any staple gun. In any case they are the best staple caps you can buy. Bostitch SBCAPS 1000 Caps for Cap Stapler and Nailer

We were so excited to find these caps. We have a small family owned construction business and are always looking for these exact caps. The stores around here sell the cap nailers, but not the caps for them. We have to special order them with twice the price and a six week wait. Amazon beats their price even if you pay shipping for nextday service. We will definately be ordering all of caps through Amazon from now on!

Unbeatable deal from Amazon!

If you are a "do-it-yourselfer" either by choice or because you are "on your own on this project", this is a great item to use along with the Bostitch cap stapler to apply roofing felt, or house wrap. My home was destroyed during the flooding here in Central Texas during the months of March through June, and this item has been a huge help to apply the house wrap and roofing felt. No more using one hand to hold the nail and cap, and the other hand to use the hammer. Simply follow the instructions on loading the caps into the cap stapler, and use the capler stapler as directed. Easy!! - Fasteners'

Action Adventure Movies - angelina jolie, action adventure movies

Why is it, that we want more from a movie than is on offer? Come on chaps, "Lara Croft - Tomb Raider" isn't a film of any intellectual merit, it is merely an exciting adventure movie with a whole host of good special effects and lots of quality funny moments. I for one really enjoyed this film, I expected nothing from it other than a series of explosions and gun battles and that is what I got and I loved every single minute of it. The plot wasn't too complicated, with Lara piecing together a mystery about an ancient clock and two pieces of a mystical triangle that has the ability to fragment time and space and of course there are the obligatory bad guys trying to get their hands on it. There was a fine cast of characters from Iain Glenn playing the evil Mr. Powell (the main bad guy) to Chris Barrie of Red Dwarf fame coming across with great aplomb as the overtly English Butler Hillary who tries and fails to make his young employer into a regal young lady instead of a gun-toting maniac. One of my favorite moments is when Hillary realizes that the security in the Croft Mansion has been breeched and there is a battle going on downstairs. He calmly gets out of bed, dons a bullet proof vest taken from his wardrobe, locks and loads a massive double barreled shot gun without blinking an eye then carefully steps into his leather slippers before stepping out to join the melee. I cracked up laughing, it was SO funny! Angelina Jolie is well cast as Lara Croft, and she manages a pretty good English accent too as well as doing ALL her own stunts which impressed me big time. The special effects were superb, watch out for when a husky-dog jumps through a break in the fabric of time, it's awesome. All in all this is fun, fun film and that is the way it should be treated. The DVD is worth every cent and is stuffed full of extras that just add to the enjoyment of the film. So come on chaps, give it a chance, you never know, you just might enjoy yourselves! Lara Croft: Tomb Raider [HD DVD]

I give the movie 5 stars as an exciting imaginitive adventure movie.

But there are issues with the Blu-ray version - which are:

The movie was not photographically focused with HD video in mind. Sometimes the details are clearly in focus, sometimes the details are only DVD clear. This is better than an ordinary DVD "upconverted" but is not consistently what I would expect from a true Blu-ray quality movie. If you already own the DVD it may not be worth upgrading - but if you don't I think it is worth it for adventure movie fans.

This is based on the original Blu-ray disk release.

I've been loading up on big, dumb action movies on blu-ray, so when I saw this on sale for $10.99, I said why not... I popped the disc in, and was horrified at the picture quality- it looks like an upconverted dvd. If you have this on dvd already, then don't waste your money.

This has got to be the best attempt at a good game-based movie that I've seen. There were a few minor plot discrepancies that didn't quite follow the storyline of the game, but they could be ignored-I actually didn't notice them myself until my avid Tomb Raider-playing pal pointed them out. I loved the action sequences-the "ceiling ballet" being my favorite, and I think that Angelina Jolie did a suberb job portraying our feisty heroine. The music was probably the best part of the movie, though. The fast-paced techno stuck with me more than the actual story did, and I bought the soundtrack almost immediately afterward. What I didn't like was that the storyline of the movie wasn't that well developed. The charcters were typical, the events were ordinary, and the plot was so predictable that I found myself speaking the dialogue before the characters did! The story wasn't that detailed or involved. A third-grader could have followed it without trouble. I had been hoping for a more provoking, mature movie. Overall, it was...okay. Maybe the next ones will be better...that is, if they don't follow the rule of sequels...

I read so many bad reviews about this product, I was almost positive I would hate it. Then I came across the review Roger Ebert gave it for the Chicago Tribune. HE gave it 4 and half stars out of five. That peaked my interest. I found it at my Wal-Mart for $4. Figuring I could spare four bucks, I bought it, and watched it two days later. By far one of the best movies I've seen a LOOOONG time. Very intriguing plot, great acting, plus it's just plain fun. Combine Indiana Jones with Mission Impossible 2, and you have an idea what this is like. Plenty of special features to keep die-hard movie buffs happy. Plus it's got Angelina Jolie. Need I say more?

Yes, many people are bashing this movie but I think they are all wrong. That is why there is a sequel since it was a good flick, right?

This movie is a very good adaptation from a game, since I also love the games. Angelina was a good Lara Croft not just in the physical aspect but also in the attitude. She is as confident as the one in the games.

The movie also circles in a great plot line. The plot is very well served and not draggy, unlike other movies. It doesn't aim to much to inform people a lot about the Illuminati but supplies what the viewers need, not over or under that. The whole plot makes sense in a not so draggy way.

The adventure aspect is also well done. The exotic locations were mesmerizing as well as the action sequences. The stunts were very realistic, unlike the ones in movies like Charlie's Angels were people leap like animals. Here, Lara is very human but athletic, doing stunts that are actually possible to do and done very nice cinematically.

The movie overall is very enjoyable. its a fun action flick. It may lack depth or may fail to satisfy one but its an action flick. Let go and enjoy. - Action - Defectivebydesi - Action Adventure Movies - Angelina Jolie'

Glow Bracelets

Very quick shipping and delivery... the best price I could find online... and they glowed (for the most part).

I will note that some of the colors were very dull and not as bright as expected. Also, there were definitely some duds in the batch that didn't light up at all. Overlooking those things, the biggest drawback is that the connectors did not come attached to the glowsticks like some competing brands do.

Overall, there were some drawbacks that were a small disappoint, but these are still worth the price! 200 8" Premium Glow Stick Bracelets (Bi-Colored, Mixed Colors)

What you are looking for its just what you get, pretty good glowsticks, they last pretty well.. you could use them for a whole night i belive. Kids and grownups wear them and have fun with them, makes your party or event more exciting.

This product came before the shipping date was stated, and the bands were in great shape. All the kids loved them, especially because they were two different colors. Definitely purchase! They were cheap in cost but not in wear! Loved!

We ordered these for a huge luau at work for about 300 people. The bracelets are great, but about 1/3 of them didn't work. The kids (and adults) still had fun with them anyway. If you order these be sure to order twice as many as you need. They're so cheap it won't matter.

I bought these for my girlfriends daughter. She loves them. I thought 200 was a lot but they end up going very quickly. They are like glowing legos or connex(sp?). You can still play with them after the lights go out. She does. I ordered with expedited shipping and received it in two days.'
