Pros:

1. Not HDTV but still it has a nice clear 7" widescreen picture.

2. Compact and portable.

3. Easy to use.

4. Electronic Program Guide.

5. Closed caption.

6. It pulled in 27 digital channels/sub-channels plus 2 analog channels with the supplied "whip" (monopole) antenna and an astonishing 55 digital channels/sub-channels and 2 analog channels using a powered in-door "rabbit ears" antenna in a suburb of Dallas, Texas.

7. Built-in rechargeable battery lasted 2 hours 35 minutes before requiring recharge.

8. 3 preselected and 1 customizable personal "Picture" mode to suit your environment/preference.

9. A great price at $70 at time of writing.

Cons:

1. I do not know why the TV Channels need to be re-scanned after been switched off (about 10% of the time).

2. Unsuitable for use in a moving car (picture becomes fuzzy).

3. Occasional fading due to weak signals.

Wish Features:

1. An "Update" scan button which will add to the previously scanned channels. Currently using the "Auto Scan" button will replace ALL the previously scanned channels.

2. Memory Card slot (with appropriate software) for playing music/songs and viewing photos and video clips.

I ordered this directly from Target before Christmas when they lowered the price. I didn't know what to expect but the low price and good reviews at the Target website sold me. One positive reviewer from NY City was especially helpful as this is where I live and it seems performance of digital TVs may depend on geography. Buying from Target also meant I could easily return it if it didn't work well.

As soon as I took it out of the box, I plugged it in, unfolded the integrated retractable whip antenna only about 1/3 of the way (8-10") and had it scan for channels. It found over 30 of them right away! Most were obscure or Spanish language channels I would never watch, but the main thing for me is that it got ALL the local affiliates of the major networks (ABC, NBC, and CBS) plus FOX, MynetworkTV, and CW. And all come in as clear as if the TV were hooked up to cable. Moreover, the sound on this is pretty good for a small set.

I first tested it in the kitchen but even in an interior bathroom without windows, the set works just as well! I'm so thrilled as now I can watch my favorite morning news show -- the Today Show -- as well as evening newscasts while I am in the kitchen making dinner or in the bathroom getting ready for work.

What I really like about this set:

--Clear bright picture. No ghosting. Good colors.

--Easy to use and setup. I did not even open the instructions until a few days after I first set it up. Using the TV and remote is easy and intuitive.

--Good sound for a small set. Easy to understand and volume goes pretty high without any distortion.

--Integrated, telescoping antenna. Unlike some of the other models I looked into (Haier, Viore, Axion), you don't have to deal with a separate antenna that sits somewhere beside the set. This one justs retracts when not in use and snaps closed on top in the back.

Keep in mind that performance can vary depending upon where you live in relation to transmitters and the type of structure you live in. But in my case, living in upper Manhattan, on the 11th floor with a clear view facing south, reception is absolutely fantastic. Hopefully this information helps others in NY City wondering about over-the-air reception of digital TV signals.

I got this at Kohl's where it was around $50 after rebate. I had tried CVS's 7" portable and was unimpressed with the reception using the attached antenna. But this thing did very well in picking up channels, though it is rather touchy about movement. It wasn't hard to find a good position, but you don't want to move too much while it is scanning. With a roof antenna or cable it has exceptional reception and picture.

Battery lasts a while, but it doesn't hold charge. You pretty much need to recharge it just before using it, if you charge it and then store it for a couple of weeks it will be completely dead. Plus not being able to remove the battery means if you use it at home you will need to continuously charge the battery which isn't good for longevity. I would have much preferred being able to remove the battery when it isn't in use. Especially considering it won't hold channel information for long anyway.

Overall an impressive TV for the price, but I suspect the battery will give out way too soon since it is always draining. Also once a Li Ion battery goes too low it will not charge again. So I am concerned that this will quickly lose its portability and end up being a small wired TV. - Black - Portable - Digital Tv - Battery Operated Tv'

Low Discharge Nimh - rechargeable batteries, low discharge nimh

I have done extensive testing on the original eneloop rechargeable batteries since early 2007, shortly after they were introduced in the US. I have also tested the blue second-generation eneloop cells from the Costco eneloop package back in 2010. But this is the first time I have seen second-gen eneloop in white wrappings being sold in the US. With so much talk about counterfeit eneloop going around, I was understandably cautious when I purchased those SANYO NEW 1500 eneloop 8 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries.

I tested four of those cells, using my old La Crosse BC-900 Battery Charger.

- Right out of the package, their average remaining charge is 1568mAh, or nearly 80% of the rated capacity of 2000mAh. The spread is also very small, from 1558 to 1577mAh. This proves that they are indeed low-self-discharge type. (Date code on my cells says "11-01", or Jan 2011)

- After one recharge/discharge cycle, their average capacity improved to 2115mAh

- After two more recharge/discharge cycles, their average capacity leveled off at 2133mAh, or more than 6% higher than the rated capacity.

The above results are very consistent with what I have previously observed, while testing second-gen eneloop cells in the Costco package. Therefore I'm convinced that those are indeed genuine second-gen Sanyo eneloop cells. (See the scans I uploaded to Customer Images section, if you need to distinguish between old and new eneloop cells)

On the other hand, currently the prices of those new eneloop cells are about 25-50% higher than that of the original eneloop cells. So one may question: do the new eneloop cells offer sufficient improvement over the old, to justify the price different? Let's compare the following factors:

- Cycle Life: The 2nd-gen eneloop claims to "recharge up to 1500 cycles", while the original only claims 1000 cycles. This 50% improvement looks great on paper, but note that if you recharge your eneloop cells twice every week, it will take 10 years to reach 1000 cycles. So in real life, most average users will never notice the difference.

- Self-Discharge Rate: The new eneloop cells claim to "maintain 75% charge after 3 years", while the original only claims "80% after 2 years". Again, in real life most people will never notice the difference.

- Capacity: First-gen eneloop AA cells have "Typ 2000mAh, Min 1900mAh" printed on them, while 2nd-gen eneloop AA cells only say "Min 1900mAh". But in fact they have the same capacity rating of 2000mAh (typical) according to official Sanyo web site. My measured capacity numbers are actually around 2100mAh for both versions.

BOTTOM LINE:

Both the new and old eneloop cells are excellent products. You can safely mix and match them in any application, and probably nobody can tell the difference in the next 10 years. But in case you can't decide which version is a better value... Just flip a coin and pick one - you can't lose either way! SANYO NEW 1500 eneloop 8 Pack AA Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries

I put two Eneloop AA batteries into my Kodak Easyshare C182 digital camera. I took flash photos one after another, in order to drain the batteries. I counted 250 photos before the low-battery warning automatically shut off the camera. That's a pretty good number of photos from one set of batteries. I'd never have gotten anywhere near that many with alkalines. And you can recharge these Eneloops up to 1500 times, so maybe one set of Eneloop AA batteries will let me take, eventually, more than 350,000 photos. If I take 20 photos each day, then two batteries would let me take photos for about 48 years. Four would suffice for a lifetime. The camera will wear out before the batteries do. I bought 32 of them, just in case there are other things that need AA batteries, also. And I bought 28 AAA size Eneloop batteries, too.

I'm pretty sure I've reviewed these Eneloop batteries before but I use them so much and like them so much - I think they deserve another 5-star review!

I'm not sure what's NEW about these batteries, but they seem to be just as good as the previous Eneloops.

First, I've got about two dozen of these batteries in daily use. I've Never had one fail to take a charge and I'm sure I've cycled some of these well over 250 times.

I use them in remote controls, professional Nikon flash units, high powered LED flashlights (like the Fenix TK-40 which uses 8 AA cells) and many other applications.

I only charge them with this charger: Maha PowerEx MH-C808M Ultimate Professional Charger - available on Amazon. This model charges AAA, C, And D batteries as well. There is an AA-only model for a little less.

I think the charger is the key to long life. Some chargers keep charging or charge at such a high rate that they batteries overheat and fail prematurely.

Sanyo claims these batteries will hold at least 80% of their charge for a year. I actually tested this with two batteries. I brought them to a full charge and let them sit for a full year. Then I tested them with my tester (ZTS Multi Battery Tester - ZTS MBT-1). They both showed 80 percent. Most NiMh batteries would be totally dead after sitting for an entire year.

Note: if you want to test NiMh batteries accurately (along with many other battery types) get this charger available at Amazon: ZTS Multi Battery Tester - ZTS MBT-1. It's the best by far.

Bought these for my Canon SX130. They were somewhere around 90% charged out of the box. I had them refreshed before I used them for the 1st time. After a few days of that I popped them into my camera and everything worked just like it should. Good batteries.

These batteries are well worth the price. The new ones in particular might not be proven though yet to worth the extra cash. If you are a little short on cash, you might consider the first generation instead. But, all in all you can't wrong with these batteries. If you have kids who are using batteries for electronics they will easily pay for themselves. I would keeping all of them separate for each individual advice. The chargers for Oneloop aren't the best, and usually require two batteries to be charging. Some of the old chargers which allow you to charge one battery at a time are the best known chargers. They however are hard to find. These batteries in particular are not much different looking then the first generation. Blackberry Storm - blackberry tour, blackberry charger

Not too long ago the global consortium that makes standards for cell phones decided that all cell phones would have micro usb connectors as a standard. Simply put, whether its a blackberry, a smartphone, or any other cell phone (iPhones excluded) will require this type of cable to connect to your pc/mac for charging and or synchronizing.

These particular car chargers are not cheap knock offs but original equipment from the manufacturer. In other words they are genuine blackberry parts and work perfectly fine for Blackberry 8900's and Storms - both of which now sport the new micro usb connector.

This is original blackberry equipment and quite a bit cheaper than the $30 price tag charged by Verizon wireless, which is a total rip-off. This has the blackberry name on it and works like a charm. I highly recommend this item.

I recently bought a BlackBerry Tour at the Verizon store, and because I was taking a trip in a few days, I bought the car charger even though I knew it was overpriced at thirty dollars.

However, after I returned, I bought this product for another car at a fraction of the cost for what I paid for the first charger. It works just as well.

Bottom line: Unless you need a car charger immediately, buy this product rather than the car charger sold at the phone store. For much less money you get the exact same performance.

Update September 28, 2010: Just bought this elsewhere on Amazon for $7.00 with no shipping charge for Prime members.

I thought "by Blackberry" in the description meant this would be an OEM item made by BlackBerry. Turns out this one is a cheap knockoff. It still charges, but I was looking for OEM. I recently ordered this item for my new Blackberry Storm. As the other reviews mention, this is a genuine Blackberry accessory...not some cheap knock-off product. It does come packaged in a plain plastic bag, instead of the clam shell packaging that you would typically see in a store. That doesn't bother me at all, but it wouldn't be a good presentation if you bought it as a gift for another person.

This is an official Blackberry OEM car charger. The cord is strong and thick and will not fall apart like those you might buy on eBay for a couple of bucks less. This should be the only real option for a car charger.

Since there is already an excellent plot synopsis, and good reviews, I have just a few comments. In selecting acting roles, Alec Guinness clearly felt that variety was the spice of life !"The Man in the White Suit" is a brilliant, but very eccentric scientist, and Guinness is of course terrific in the lead. As always, Cecil Parker is fine in support, and Joan Greenwood, with her breathy, seductive voice, is wonderful. As other reviewers have noted, watch for Ernest Thesiger as "Sir John"--in just a few scenes he manages to convey pure evil and greed very convincingly.While this film has humour, it is not quite a comedy in the usual sense. Its various themes and messages ring true even today. "Planned obsolescence" is as much a part of modern manufacturing as it has ever been. The possibility of a product that never wears out and will never need to be replaced is every big business' worst nightmare, and hardly good news for labour either. This comes across in the movie, and in 2003 I don't expect that the reaction would be any different. We have been hearing about engines that run on solar power or even water for years--guess how much "big oil" is going to let that happen ? ! The movie has a number of unforgettable scenes, including the climax where Guinness is cornered by the mob of workers and capitalists, united in their fear. The ending is as upbeat as one could expect, without compromising the seriousness of the theme.The picture quality of the DVD is fine, especially for a 52-year old film.If you like classic movies that are aimed at your brain, as well as your funny-bone, "The Man in the White Suit" fills the bill. Yet another madcap Ealing comedy starring Alec Guinness as a scientist who invents a fabric that won't soil or wear out. Realizing that such a fabric would spell ruin for the whole textile industry, the company wants Guinness to sign over the invention to them so they can suppress it. He, of course, wants it known to the whole world: it's his ticket to fame.

Quite a tug-of-war develops between Guinness and the government henchmen involving chases, bribery, kidnapping, and other lunacies. But it all comes to naught when the lasting qualities of the fabric prove to be defective. Guinness is wonderful and the script is taut and hilarious. It's a neat little black comedy on industrialism vs. the entrepeneur. From that devilish smile on Guinness's face at the end, it looks like the battle goes on. Terrific fun; definitely worth a watch.

Just a note--I can't find as anyone's caught this. The soundtrack for this film is by Benjamin Frankel, a serious British composer whose symphonies are highly regarded, and is one of the best film scores Ive encountered in some time. In fact I'm surprised it isn't better known as it approaches the quality Sir William Walton reached in his Shakespeare scores for Olivier. I'd buy this DVD just for the music.

Otherwise this is an absolutely wonderful flick and, as an exercise in humorous cynicism about how the modern world operates I'd double-bill it with Wilder's absurdly under-rated "One, Two, Three."

The Man in the White Suit seems to me to be partially a satire on Ayn Rand's the Fountainhead. Alec Guinness plays Sidney Stratton deadpan in the role of the lone, mad scientist of the British clothing industry. Stratton is on a mission to create a new fabric that never gets dirty and never wears out. His bizarre quest gets him fired from one after another jobs as a scientist as he diverts (or as the British would say, cadges) equipment and supplies from companies to his projects. He then works as a janitor still cadging supplies and hiding his experiments until he is discovered and promoted by the daughter (Joan Greenwood) of one of the captains of industry.

After he is promoted, he is given full support for his bizarre idea. Then, another of the elements of satire is the mad scientist of the horror films of the late 40's, with suitable lights flashing, "boops....beeps" and water gurgling sound effects, and a few explosions of the works.

This leads to curiosity...what is he up to? Then, word leaks out that he is working on a cloth that never gets dirty and never wears out. At first it sounds like a good idea but soon the Schumpeterian creative destruction implications of this invention for jobs, businesses, and industries, becomes clear to the industry leaders, the unions, and the ordinary workers. Then, another object of satire in this movie proceeds as all the groups go to battle against each other and then eventually against this man and his invention.

Then the movie goes into a chase scene with Guinness wearing this incredibly luminous white suit..... but you'll have to watch the movie to find out how it ends.

Although Alec Guinness had already achieved a fair degree of fame on stage and on screen by the time he made THE MAN IN THE WHITE SUIT, this is, in fact, one of his earliest starring roles. Strictly speaking, although he had portrayed eight characters in 1949's KIND HEARTS AND CORONETS, this was his first comedy in which is played the lead. Playing inventor Sidney Stratton, Guinness further cemented his burgeoning reputation as one of England's most interesting and versatile actors.The film features a marvelous though, to early 21st century film fans, largely unknown cast. Joan Greenwood, who is one of my favorite actresses in the history of film--beautiful, effortlessly sexy and sensual, enormously talented, and possessed of one of the great voices in the history of cinema--plays Guinness's romantic counterfoil. Cecil Parker, who while never a star, seemed to populate dozens of successful films without ever calling attention to himself. The film also features a typical performance by Ernest Thesiger, who played ancient-old-man parts for over forty years in films and is one of the most unique looking actors in British film history. The story involves a quirky scientist inventing cloth that never gets dirty and never wears out, but which comes out of the lab pure white. This was at a time when a whole range of new synthetic fabrics were hitting the market, so the subject was very topical at the time. The plot revolves around the anticipated effects such material would have on the textile industry. The film is a comedy, but it is the kind of comedy that creates more smiles than laughs. Kodak Ink

I bought this bulk pack of ink based on how fast I went through the ink cartridges included with my Kodak printer. I am now on my second black and second color cartridge from this bulk pack. For everday printing, these cartridges work fine. However, when I want a quality print, either on normal or photo paper, I notice a distinct difference in quality from the Kodak cartridges and these ink cartridges: the high quality prints from the Kodak cartridges were much better. I bought these and they all have problems. Some get a message on the Kodak print monitor that say, cartridge not recognized. Some just won't print. Some print with lines or drops on paper.

Definitely not worth the time.

I read the reviews and decided to take a chance and try these. I have used compatable ink with Brother and various other printers in the past with little difference in quality. However, these have a big difference in quality, and half the time they do not work! First, the black ink comes out blurry on the paper; not sharp letters like you're used to. I could probably live with that except that I went through all the cartridges just to get one color and one black cartridge to work for more than a day. Error messages keep coming up and the printer will not work at all. I followed all the special instructions for this problem, but after a few print jobs, the error message would pop up again. Hassle after hassle! I buy alot from Amazon, and don't usually return anything, but believe me, these went back!

After Buying for years at Amazon.com, this is the first time I am giving a bad review.

Similar to the other customers, I found that buying the 3 colour + 5 Black combo was a big waste of money.

None of the cartridges worked. I tried all 5 Black and all 3 Colour on my ESP9.

Save your money and buy genuine Kodak ink.

Kodak #10 Bulk Set of 8 Compatible Ink Cartridges: 5 Black (1215581) & 3 Color (1810829) Kodak 10 Ink for Easy Share 5100, 5300 & 5500 Great price, but we usually have at least one from the pack that is non-usable and it is a pain to return one cartridge. However, if you go thru the effort, they will send you a replacement and ask you to return the bad one.

I have an ESP 7 and all was great until....I tried to be crafty and save money using this company's 'Kodak Compatible' ink. It was NOT compatible in fact after spending over 90 minutes in two combined phone calls with their service reps (who were very nice) nothing was accomplished until I finally called Kodak. My printerhead was damaged. Another $30 to replace.

I learned my lesson. You win Kodak! Hope this helps save someone else some frustration and money.

I USE LOTS OF INK. I PRINT MANY PICTURES AND SOME OF MY EMAILS FROM FAMILY AND FRIENDS. THIS PRODUCT WAS A GREAT DEAL! I HAVE ALREADY USED ALL THE COLOR INK AND ALMOST ALL OF THE BLACK. MY PRINTER IS USED EVERY DAY AND THIS SAVES ME SO MUCH TIME AND MONEY BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP GOING BACK TO THE STORE TO GET MORE INK. I HAVE ANOTHER SUPPLY WAITING TO BE OPENED SOON. THIS IS A GREAT BARGAIN FOR THE MONEY I PAID.

Black cartidge worked find out of box, but when I went to the first color, it would not work. The second color cartridge seems to work, but I need better reliablility from my cartridges. Next thing is to contact the seller to get a replacement.

[...] It does not work. I called tech support and they told me to remove the ink and turn the printer off for 15 minutes. (Thinking I will forget about them) After that it still does not work. I called support again. They said that I should open the other cartrage and try them. After I tried a few more that still does not work. They told me because I opened them so They will NOT refund or trade them. That is a waste of $60 on them. I guess if your ink work they are good. If NOT they will NOT stand behind their product.'

Poor Quality - mma, cheap

I previously bought the everlast 3 pack of wraps not realizing that they were only 108 inches long which is way too short for my hands (I'm 6 ft, 175 lbs). I didn't want to spend $10/pair so these looked like a great solution. I'm not going to go so far as to say they are the absolute best on the market but these are solid wraps.

I've worn a pair 4 times now - washed them once (nice to have multiple pairs to circulate them and wash together. Google how to wraps your hand right cuz it makes a big difference in how wraps feel to wear.

I'm very comfortable recommending these hand wraps - above average IMO. Adult 180" Hand Wraps for MMA & Boxing - 3 Pairs Pack

I've been using them for a few weeks now, and they seem to be holding up. They're very comfortable, machine wash fine. My only problem is the velcro strap. I prefer the broad patch some other makers use, rather than the long strap these do.

These wraps work just as good as any wrap i have seen. Although there might be some wraps that might break down quick, these do not. i have had these wraps for 2 months and they came out good and at a cheap price. Its a good buy if your looking for multiple wraps at a cheap price.

I needed 180" hand wraps. I've needed to replace some old ones I had. These hand wraps are a great deal! Thin but strong. I been using them for about to weeks and they do a great job projecting my hands and wrists. If you need to buy hand wraps, buy these! - Junk - Cheap - Mma - Hand Wraps'
