Multi-gemstone - multi-gemstone, amethyst

Had a similar problem as previous reviewer alluded to, but the wearer was given them as a gift and only wore the earrings once before a stone was lost. Of course, it was just past the time limit that Amazon accepts returns, so they are junk now--very disappointing. Don't waste your money, these earring are cheaply constructed so the stones will not stay in the settings. Platinum Plated Sterling Silver Multi-Gemstone Hoop Earrings (0.7" Diameter)

They were nice, until about a week after wearing them one of the stones came out. I would like to note there the same ones I received as a gift that someone bought from JTV. Would not recommend, or if you end up buying these check the stones!

These hoop earrings are really fun! With 5 different gemstones (peridot, blue topaz, citrine, amethyst, and garnet), they match just about everything. They are very comfortable, colorful, and sparkly. They are made well, plated with platinum, and have my favorite "huggie" clasp, which adds to comfort, looks and security. These are a must for your jewelry collection.

Purchased these along with a matching necklace as a Christmas present and was not disappointed. They are not to big or too small and sparkle so pretty. The quality of the earrings are very nice. I got them for a super price so was fearful they may look cheap but was pleasantly surprised when I saw them.

I ordered these earrings for my sister for Christmas and we are both pleased with them. Nicely made, colors are beautiful, and she has pierced ear problems and can't wear "cheap" earrings, so these were perfect.

I BOUGHT THESE EARRINGS TO WEAR WITH A MULTI-GEM NECKLACE I GOT FOR CHRISTMAS. THEY LOOK GREAT WITH THE NECKLACE FOR TIMES WHEN I AM WEARING SPORTY CLOTHES, ALONG WITH A SOLITAIRE GEM POST IN ONE OF THE COLORS IN THE OTHER PIERCED HOLE ABOVE. NICE SIZE, WEIGHT, AND GOOD CLOSURES, CLICK TIGHT. - Multi-gemstone - Gemstone Earrings - Amethyst'

Digital Camera Battery - 4x optical zoom, digital camera battery

Just received this camera in the mail from a Cyber Monday purchase. I've played with it for a few hours and can say that this is a user-friendly, nice pocket budget camera. I've taken several pictures with it in several different light settings and I am more than pleased. The menu system is easy to use and straight forward. There are some different setting modes that allow for better pictures of different subjects (kids, pets, close ups). I dont plan on using this, as I just want to take pictures without messing with the menus, but it's there for those who want it.

The HD video recorder is what initially attracted me to this camera. The quality of the video is great as viewed on my Macbook and it looks just as high quality on Youtube.

This camera is certainly worth the low price. Give it a shot. Would make a great gift for young photogs. Pentax Optio RS1000 14 MP Digital Camera with 4x Optical Zoom and 3-Inch LCD

I got this camera on a Cyber Monday deal and was skeptical right from the start. I take a lot of pictures and was looking for something that was small, quick, and good. The first hour I had it I regretted the purchase, mostly bcs of the aesthetics. I didnt like the housing, the battery cover slides out easily and is plastic so I can see it breaking easy. The screen is not great and makes pictures look over saturated. I thought the skins were a cute idea but not worth keeping the camera so it almost went back into the box for a return ... but I had an event that night and decided to bring it along. After a night of use I decided that I really liked the pictures it took, it was quick to start up, and while I wasnt keen on the lag between hitting the shutter button and the actual picture being taken, once I got used to it I was able to compensate.

All in all Im pretty happy with it. I took it to my dear friend's daughter's first birthday party today and was really satisfied with all the pictures I took. The only ones I deleted were due to uncooperative babies, not an incapable camera. That says a lot. So, if you arent expecting the world, this is a pretty neat little camera. I just worry that it wont withstand every day wear and tear. ::shrug:: We'll see.

I like Pentax, so I decided to get this camera because not only does it have like 14 MP or so, but it was only $99. Now that we got it, it does take pretty good pictures. In low light sometimes it has trouble focusing completely, but we have yet to discover all the little features in it so that might help if we do that. Overlal it seems to be a very good quality, compact, small, inexpensive digital camera.

i wish i had gotten a kodak. this camera has some great features but was hard to navigate around to find them. some of the editing features for the computer are fabulous though. the battery charges quickly which is great. the video was awful, no sound just clicky and staticky. some of the videos played back in a speeded up motion. wasnt the settings it was just random. i wouldnt buy this camera again.

Got this camera for $70 and the video is great in HD and it takes good pictures. have no problems and the camera is easy to use. Like some other reviews the battery door does open some times but is no big deal, its not like the battery is going to fall out or anything.

Bought for my college age daughter for Christmas. She loved that it takes good pictures easily and also really loved that you can change its "skins" to make it look different - plaid for christmas, palm trees at the beach, etc. Good price, good camera, fun appearance.

Camera is light but the photo quality is REALLY bad. Day lights are OK and still it seems to be focusing only on the photo center, night photos are completely blur.

Also feels cheap, battery cover don't close well. Very disappointed.

This camera is okay. It does the job of taking pictures. I don't care for the length of time in between pictures. But, honestly I just miss my old camera and when I get a chance to buy a new one. I think I will just give this one to my husband. Overall the camera is not bad, if you are just looking for something to shoot pictures. - Point And Shoot - Product Marketing - Digital Camera Battery - 4x Optical Zoom'

Diabetes

This book contains the most common sense, practical information I have found yet for helping manage my toddlers diabetes. This is not a medical text, but an easy to read guide for managing insulin, meals and the behavioral problems related to diabetes. There are excellent suggestions on how to not let the behavioral problems develop. I highly recommend this "down to earth" book Sweet Kids : How to Balance Diabetes Control and Good Nutrition with Family Peace

Our pediatric unit provides this book to

parents of children newly diagnosed w/

type 1 diabetes.

The book is a thorough, detailed reference

with a focus on nutrition, meal planning, snacks,

glucose management---through the various age

groups of childhood.

One of the biggest obstacles we faced when my daughter was diagnosed at 2 was not battles over shots or finger pokes; it was over food. We were used to having pleasant, sit-down dinners as a family, but at 2 years old, she had the power to send me into panic mode when she wouldn't eat the carbs I had already given her insulin for. No amount of punishment, crying (on my part), or anything else worked to get her to understand the importance of eating what I had set out for her. How could it? She was only 2. I found this book while browsing titles and it saved our family dinner! By giving her insulin after she had eaten, I got the control over our family dinner back and it became a pleasant experience again. Also, she started eating more when she wasn't being hassled about it, and she needed to put some weight back on. We still maintained excellent control (not perfect, but ours never has been). We've had diabetes for 5 years and I'm still thankful we had a way to deal with a very trying issue at a very stressful time (diagnosis).'

Sirius Satellite Radio - onyx, sirius

just recieved this unit today and was very pleased it was smaller than i thought but thats ok sounds great plenty loud and good bass comes with full function remote which works well its in my shop about 20 feet away i wish it had separete bass and treble controls but sounds great right out of the box could'nt be more pleased with purchace and would highly recomend it AudioVox Sirius SXABB1 Dual Mode Speaker Dock Boombox

This is a great little radio for the home, office or garage... anywhere you can access 110 volt electricity. Portable (i.e. battery) use is a problem as it uses a great deal of electricity. Eight Duracell "C" batteries (cost $10+) lasted only about 6 hours; this makes it too expensive for regular use at the park or the beach. All controls are electronic/touch/temperature & are located on the top of the radio. If there is a line power drop, the controls stop working & you must unplug the radio & "reboot" it to get the controls to again function properly. Also, as the controls are temperature sensitive, if you have been outside and have cold fingers, the radio won't respond to your touch; I've had to ask my wife (who was inside & had warm fingers) to turn the radio on for me. Finally, the "mute" control button is almost useless. If the phone rings & you wish to turn the radio down or mute it, the electronic controls are sluggish and difficult to execute quickly. It is easier (& much faster) to simply turn the radio off or to the "auxiliary" position. Still, this is a great little radio with good sound quality. Prices have been dropping, so go ahead and reward yourself with this great little radio... and get an extension cord for any outside use.

Batteries don't last long but I bought rechargeables and use the power cord most of the time. Well worth the money for just over $100. Best Buy wanted $140. I previously had the skyfi 2 boombox but it died after 6 years. Not rugged like the Skyfi box but is better suited for Kitchen, Den rather than outside.

We live in a rural area, and do not get many good strong radio stations. Also, we have a camp in central Pennsylvania where the radio reception is extremely poor, and no TV signal clear enough to watch. This portable XM Radio Dock is just the ticket. We receive excellent antenna at both our home and camp. What a wonderful difference. We play the radio dock almost continuously at the camp and receive outstanding sound - even inside the camp. Our house has dense trees in the front (south facing), so the antenna aims north, and we still get very good antenna. This is a great product - definitely recommended.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas, wasn't sure if it was something he would enjoy but we have been so pleased with the purchase....he can listen to the xm radio when he is in the house and it is just the right size. Love it.

Nice quality sound. I transfer my ONXY from my car to this boom box almost every day. Nice, slick volume control. Antennae very good--picks up signal even 20 feet from a window. Very light and easy to carry.

For the price, this unit is great. It's not a 'blow your mind' speaker system, but it does the job very well. I love xm radio and I love that I can use this in any room and outside. I can have it in the kitchen with me and then take it to the treadmill for a workout, then out to the deck for dinner. XM is a great way to hear a variety of my favorite music. I can't stop saying "I LOVE that song". There's so much to listen to. I just love it.

I really am enjoying my AudioVox SXABB1. It is easy to use, has great sound qualities, and satisfies the "techie" in my 54 year old brain. I would recommend it to anyone trying to get more out of their expensive XM radio subscription. At least it doesn't have to sit out in your car when you are at home. - Sirius - Onyx - Xm - Sirius Satellite Radio'

Yoga Accessories - yoga towel, yoga accessories

i bought this mat in the hopes of enjoying the benefits of the high density "black mat" made by manduka without the bulkiness of that mat. first of all, either of the manduka mats is far better than the versions other companies have produced in response to the mat's popularity. there is not the heavy industrial smell to the mat that can get in the air, your clothes, and skin. their density makes it far and away a completely different experience than the typical yoga mat. they are more stable and cushion without being squishy. they are very sturdy and resilient and will last a long time, so your yoga mats will not end up littering the environment over time. between the two manduka mats, i favor this one because it is much easier to transport and store and i do not notice any loss of comfort from the slight difference in thickness (3/16" instead of 1/4"). if you are taller or heavier than average, do very vigorous yoga workouts, or have particularly sensitive joints, you might prefer the manduka black mat, particularly as it comes in an extra long style. but i found this mat at least as stable (perhaps more so), and more versatile, just the thing for a secure and comfortable support for yoga. another option in using this mat is to lay a cotton yoga rug on top of it. the cotton absorbs sweat and can be washed easily, so your mat will last even longer and you get a more natural feel against the skin during practice. cotton rugs are the traditional support for yoga, particularly ashtanga, and this mat and rug combination is often recommended by fine teachers as the best way to get the best of both worlds. if that's not enough, the $45 price i paid through amazon is far better than i saw in stores or other websites. you just can't go wrong with this mat. Manduka 71-Inch PROlite Travel Yoga and Pilates Mat (Midnight)

Overall I would have to say this is the best yoga mat I have ever used. I have used the mat for five weeks ~3-4 days per wk, and followed the directions for "breaking in" the mat. It is nice and sticky and provides very good stability and padding when dry.

I bought this mat however, because it was supposed to grip even when wet. I practice ashtanga style yoga and sweat a lot. Once the mat gets wet I find it to be just as slippery as any cheapo mat.

I recently purchased this mat, (as well as the manduka mat bag), based on recommendations from various people at my yoga studio. Truthfully, I couldn't be happier with my choice. The mat feels solid during my practice, at the same time my knees and hips can feel the benefits of the extra padding. I was a little concerned that 3/8" inch thickness wouldn't provide enough cushioning, and that I should look for a mat 1/4" thick. However, I've since tried some of these and though they are more dense they don't feel as secure. Also, I don't feel the need to carry around the extra weight inherent in the thicker mat. Finally, though I originally balked because this mat costs a bit more than others, when I considered how much athletic shoes cost, and how much I save by doing a barefoot workout, I went for it. I'm definately glad I did.

I've had this mat for 2+ years and agree with the previous reviews. This mat is not sweat-friendly, particularly if you practice vinyasa. And, once sweat absorbs in the mat, the odor starts brewing (even if you do clean with the special yoga mat cleaner, herbal concoctions or whatever else).

For profuse sweaters with a regular practice, this mat is not for you. For those who dare take an inversion with the Manduka, be sure to put a towel under your hands and/or wipe off your mat before moving into position.

On a positive note, this mat does offer more cushioning for the knees (but is by no means as plush as a Tapas Ultra...not suggesting you buy this either because it falls apart). Oh and the Manduka holds up under toe-digging, which is another plus.

Namaste!

durable, lightweight, same texture as blackmat. I can barely notice a difference between this and the black mat. It is slightly less padded, but you can barely notice the difference. It is quite a bit skinnier as far as the width goes, but not a problem for me. Definitely better for using back and forth to class than the black mat would be. It is MUCH lighter! If you are doing downward dog correctly, you won't really slip at all. If you aren't in position correctly (too much weight in shoulders and hands), there will be a slight amount of slip when the mat is new. Once the coating wears off you'll be good to go. I use the opposite side from the label (circular patterns) I find it less slippery from day one. This is as good as a mat will get! I'm a 5'7 female and the 71 inch works fine for me an my husband who is 6 ft. tall.

This is an excellent mat. I recently bought mine and could feel the difference from the first practice. It is a tremendous step up from the garden variety $20 mat. There is another mat made that has more cushion than this one (I believe this company makes it too), but you may not need to shell out the extra $20 unless you have really sensitive joints/bones. With that in mind, I think this mat would suit most people's needs. I practice on a hardwood floor using this mat and was completely comfortable. This mat is very effective for more sweat inducing forms of yoga. However, it is not fool proof. A person could still slip if he or she sweats profusely. I would then suggest the user to where a pair of socks (not the most "traditionally yogic" way of doing things but effective). Otherwise, this is a great mat for anyone who practices sweat inducing yoga regualarly.

I absolutely love this mat. I've tried Manduka Pro, and it's wonderful too. The only down side is the weight, so I decided to buy Prolite. The slightly decreased thickness of Prolite doesn't compromise its comfortable level at all. Also I feel very sticky on it. But be careful, I guess the stickiness is variable among different persons. I have very dry hands, which makes me slippery on most mats at the beginning of my practice, including Lululemon The Mat. And I only sweat a little bit on my hands and feet when the practice prolongs, although my other body parts sweat like a pig. So Manduka mat is a perfect match for me. I feel very stable on it all along. But my husband also tried Manduka, and he complained at the beginning the mat felt sticky, but after his hands get wet by sweating, the mat became very slippery. Some reviewers below feel it's very slippery like my husband, and some reviewers feel manduka is the best just like me. So I guess the differences in skin types bring in so polarized reviews on the stickiness of Manduka mat. My conclusion is: if you are a dry skin person, and you feel slippery on most mats before you sweat, Manduka probably will be the best mat you've ever had. But if you are an oily skin type, and you sweat a lot on your hands and feet, Manduka probably won't fit you. Lululemon's The Mat or Jade mat will be a better choice. If you could go to a yoga studio which provides Manduka mat for rental (like Yogaworks at New York) and try the mat for one yoga class, that's the best way to tell. - Yoga Mat - Yoga Accessories - Yoga Towel'

I bought these for my 4 year old daughter to do with a friend that regularly comes over for playdates. They had never seen a shrinky dink and thought they were very cool. They especially loved watching them shrink in the oven. They played with the finished girls all afternoon. Alex Toys Shrinky Dink Kits, Charm Girls

This is a quick, non-messy craft. For a first-time user the "shrinking" is fun to watch! My daughter liked that they could be hung like a suncatcher afterward. She also liked the mix and match feature. - Kid Craft'
