Cell Phone Accessories - car charger, galaxy s

It's advertised as SAMSUNG OEM.. The one I got is not and came with a weird peel away cover that goes over the LED-light.. it doesnt stay on so the LED-light is exposed along with the inside wiring.. very odd.. It also has an attached USB port on the top-next to the LED light. I have not tried if that connection works.

I've found that the connection to my charger port is not perfect, it sometimes looses connection if the phone is moved whatsoever. However, if I just put the phone down (shouldnt drive and be on phone anyway) it stays connected and works fine.

For the price, this is just fine, but SAMSUNG OEM it's not, the quality build is not the same Samsung Official OEM Car Charger for your EPIC 4G Phone! Original Equipment and Manufacturer (DC 12 volt)

This review is more for the company and not for the product. It's an OEM Samsung charger so it really has nothing to do with the quality of SF Planet. But to say the least SF Planet came through for me in a very short time and with exactly what I wanted. The charger stopped working so I contacted the company for a replacement. They responded in less than 12 hours and are sending a brand new replacement to my home address. I appreciate their quick response and customer service.

James Garner

This charger works great for me. I liked it so much I bought two more (while they were on sale) after I received the first one.

Now I have one in each vehicle and a spare if one quits. A little slow in charging the phone but can't beat it for the price of $3.75 compared to $27.95 for similar chargers. - Car Charger - Samsung Car Charger - Cell Phone Accessories - Galaxy S'

Hdmi Splitter

I just received this unit and am using it to split the single HDMI output from my Cable box to two TV's, one a newer Vizio LCD and the other an older 65" Mitsubishi rear projection with a DVI port. The connection to the Visio is via a 25' HDMI cable, while the connection to the Mitsubishi is via a 10' HDMI to DVI adapter cable.

Contrary to one of the other reviews, only one TV needs to be on at any time for the unit to work. Does a great job with no loss of picture or sound quality, even through the longer HDMI cable and the HDMI to DVI adapter cable. HDMI Splitter Amplifier 1 In to 2 Out Dual Display

We used it to split the signal coming out of the receiver to go to two TVs. One is a 56" Plasma and the other is a 19" LCD. I test it and did have one TV on at a time. BTW, I'm using a 45ft HDMI cable coming out of this splitter to a HDMI switchbox before reaching the 19" LCD. I'm also using another one of these units to split the signal from my Mediagate media server to the two TVs with no problem. I also tested it out by watching HD channels from the cable box and 1080p videos through my media center.

Easy, straightforward hookup. It works. But be aware that if you are hooking this up to 2 displays with 2 different resolutions, the lower of the 2 will display on both screens.

I wanted to hook my computer to the computer monitor and my 720p TV so I could watch movies via the internet on my home theater. Works great as far as the TV and movies go. But then the computer monitor defaulted to a 1280 x 720 resolution to match the TV - and it could not be adjusted back to the higher monitor resolution.

I just got my splitter in. I use it to split the signal from my PS3 to a 24 inch LCD Monitor and a 42 inch LCD TV and it works great. I use one 6 ft and one 11 ft HDMI cable and there is no noticeable degradation of signal. Price is great compared to similar products and the small size of the box means less clutter.

I have this device splitting the signal between a living room and bed room HDTV from a PS3 both signals are perfect at 1080p including the bedroom TV which is 20' from the splitter. The splitter works for both outputs simultaneously, "always on". Highly recommended.

I have 1 Sony Bravia HD TV in my bedroom. I have 1 LG HD TV in my living room. I have a PS 3 Sony PlayStation in my living room hooked up to my eithernet high speed internet modem. I wanted to use my PS 3 to broadcast Netflix streaming movies or Blue Ray movies and regular movies to the TV in my living room OR my bedroom.

After connecting the PS 3 HDMI output into the splitter (in) and connecting the splitter output 1 to the LG and the splitter 2 output to the Sony Bravia and the power supply to the splitter.

Now I can watch the movies via streaming or disc on my TV in the living room or shut the living room TV off and go to the bedroom, turn on that TV and continue to watch what was on the Living room TV. Or visaversa.

This is exactly what I wanted. Instead of unplugging the Sony output and plugging it back in for the TV I wanted to view. This device has performed without any problems after a month. I think this is a good device if you want to do what I have described above.

I also discovered I can watch the same thing simultaniously on both TV's at the same time. So if you are moving from one room to the other both TV's are broadcasting at the same time through the splitter. I see no diminished clarity performance on either HD TV in this mode. This was I plus I did not expect.

I hope this comment can help others to make their decision wisely.

I have a 40" LCD and a projector TV. I bought this because I wanted to run HDMI to both TV's from my Onkyo receiver but only to one at a time. I was hoping that I would be able to have one input and 2 outputs without needing to unplug one from the Onkyo and putting in the other. This item seemed perfect. I would be able to select which TV I wanted to watch at that time and bingo. Well, what I found was that both TV's NEED to be on in order for the box to work. Since there was nothing in the description that said that it would only work when both TV's were on, I gave it 3 stars.

This started out great, I was able to run a 15 ft and 35 ft HDMI cable out of my xbox 360 with good quality video. It works great with everything EXCEPT GAMES AND NETFLIX, which is unfortunately pretty much everything. I bought two of these and they both act exactly the same. On my bluray player it is the same issue, they work great to navigate menus but when I got to try and watch a video THE SCREEN GOES BLACK, AND DOES NOT WORK. Don't buy these. Spend more money. I'm looking for a better one right now.

Here's a trick to get this device to work without having both TV's on.

1) Connect both TV's to the HDMI Splitter

2) Connect the input source

3) Plug the device into a power outlet

4) Turn on both TV's

5) Unplug the HDMI splitter from the power

6) Wait a few seconds and plug it back in.

7) You should now be able to watch one TV without the other being on.

Try turning one off. The other should still be working. And then try turning that one off, and the other TV on. It should be working flawlessly.

This worked for me. If this doesn't work for you, try a variation of the above steps. It has to do with the TV or the switch recognizing the signals. I don't know, but this is how I got mine to work.

Whenever there are power surges or outages, I have to re-do the above. I'm buying a UPS for this thing (and for my DVR).'

Jolly Ball - dog ball, jolly ball

My Olde English Bulldogge has destroyed a small fortune in soccer balls. I was looking for something durable enough to hold up to her bite, but soft enough to be able to bounce like a soccer ball. This ball is perfect, and well worth the price. She has already punctured this ball several times, but it magically reinflates. From what I can tell, this 8" ball is the largest available. It is slightly smaller than a standard size soccer ball. Perfect size for larger dogs. Jolly Pets Bounce-n-Play Dog Toy, Blueberry Scented, 8-Inch

My yard is a wasteland of carcasses from the soccer balls my GSD loves but can't help destroying within the first few massive bites. I don't know what kind of voodoo engineering makes the JollyBall possible, but these balls don't deflate even after being punctured over and over again by great big pointy teeth. The big dog carries the ball around chomping and chomping on it, enjoying the death whistle it makes with each bite, and sometimes actually gets the ball stuck on one of his canine teeth, but as soon as it's off, whoosh, it re-inflates. Fantastic and much loved dog toy that's survived months of near daily attack. And when it was new, it smelled like fruity candy!

When my dog was younger (he's a GSD), I got him an Indestructaball which is the same as the Jolly Push and Play, which he loved, but since it's hard plastic and they feel the need to put an indented area where you can fill it with sand or water, he would corner the ball and hook his bottom k9 into that hole, and pick it up and carry it, eventually breaking his tooth. So, I wanted to find a large ball that he could kick around, wasn't hard, and that he couldn't pop. This ball is PERFECT!!! It's soft, so that when he corners it to pick it up it doesn't damage his teeth, but It's large enough for him to kick it around, and, like the Jolly Balls with the handles, they just can't pop it :-) It's soooo much fun to watch him play with this and I can rest assured that his teeth will be OK. Just wish it came in like a 10 or 12" ball, that would be even more entertaining...

I bought this for my dog (bull terrier mix) who is a power-chewer because it was made in USA. Checking out, the cashier said it was the best dog toy ever and told how his dog (boxer) had not been able to destroy this ball like he did with all other toys. I understand now. My Charlie also can pulverize toys, but... not this one! He has chewed and chewed and chewed. After over 2 years now, it has teeth imprints but is still intact and chewable. I buy them now for all the dogs I know who are power chewers.

Bought this ball for my two australian shepherds. Both are destructive chewers and toys do not last long. Also bought the 14" Jolly Pet Push-n-play (which our 80 lb aussie loves) and the 10" Best Ball. Our smaller 45 lb aussie likes this bouncier ball. All balls have held up so far. Highly recommend for those tough chewers.

Great dog toy! Our German Shepherd puppy is almost 20wks old and VERY hard on his toys. This ball has held his interest for SEVERAL play sessions, he plays soccer with it and it is INDESTRUCTIBLE. He can't puncture it but it's not so heavy duty that he can't play with it. It's surprisingly light and bouncy. It's made of a hard foam like rubber and it really does smell like blueberry (think: strawberry-shortcake dolls). I can forsee this lasting well into adult dog-hood. I bought this after a friend recommended it. He has a pit and they have had this toy for several years and have bought other products from the same manufacturer. Definitely recommended.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seemed like some of the reviews implied this had a soft surface that a dog could grab. Not so. We returned it, as there was no way our dogs could get hold of it. Other than that, it appeared to be very sturdy, so if you've got a large dog who has destroyed lots of other toys, this might work well for you. And the color is pretty bright, so it would be easy to spot when in tall grass.

I read all the reviews on this ball and was eager to see if it really held up against my German Shepherd puppy. Well, its still in perfect form after more than a month of hard playing. Max has lost a couple of baby teeth with this ball, because they got stuck in the ball. But the ball has still survived. It's a really cool invention. I'd love to know how it pumps itself back up? Either way believe the reviews and buy this fun ball. Max has become quite the soccer player as a result. - Jolly Ball - Dog Ball - Jolly Pet'

Exercise Machine - fitness, exercise

This machine had lots of problems right out of the box:

The main steel axle was warped, so when the two main handlebars were attached, it popped out the stub/plug on the side of the handlebars, leaving a 2mm gap in the main fame, so when I stride on the machine, it makes a clanking noise.

The plastic over the wheel was warped, and the tension knob didn't work. I used wood cutting tools to carve a line where the warped plastic was hitting the pedal so the scraping noise would stop.

It worked well enough after the self fixing, but then about 10 minutes into its first use, something inside the machine began squeaking, and has yet to go away. I've used it 5 times so far (which is awful-I thought I'd use it every day.), and will try to use it more just to get my $160 worth out of it.

I am NOT an athlete, and am out of shape, though not overweight (120lbs and jiggly, only been exercising >a year, and with very, very LIGHT cardio; Bar method and Leslie Sansone 'walk at home' videos, 'hula for beginners' video, and a resistance band & PT prescribed exercises for strength).

However, I do not break a good sweat even going on this machine for 40+ minutes, perhaps due to the dysfunctional tension knob (it has no resistance, as far as I could tell). After doing a 'walk at home' video, I'm soaked after 20 minutes...This machine *appears* to not push the user to the proper pulse level, but the machine I received could be a lemon.

An elliptical was recommended by a physical therapist because the walk at home videos gave me side stitches, and I'd pulled my shoulder as well. She stressed not to cheap out on a machine, but I don't have enough $ for a gym or professional grade machine. I chose this machine after seeing many fairly good reviews for it on amazon.uk (over there,it has lots of reviews. The other model I was considering was Confidence 2-in-one machine for $130, but it had very poor reviews elsewhere).

Another incident I've experienced that are noted in other reviews for other products made by Confidence is the pedals seem to cause your feet to slide and push your toes against the edge, causing a 'needle like' or numbing sensation in your toes when you get off the machine.

In fact, one of the main reasons I chose this over their two less expensive models is because none of the reviews for this machine mentioned the decline, or a need to prop the front on a 2x4. Alas, this machine certainly does not grip to your shoe, and does benefit from a few books stacked under the front. I've also put small squares of non skid material on the pedals (the type you'd put under a carpet runner, or use as a yoga mat), and it helps a little, but the 2 inch rise in front works much better.

The handle bars also seem to be a little short...My arms don't stretch all the way while striding, though I'm only 5'4". I can't imagine anyone taller even fitting in it. The stride is also very short and more of a circular pedaling motion rather than an authentic oval, elliptical motion.

If the tension had functioned properly, this wouldn't be such a bad machine for home use, given its price in comparison to others. However, based on the machine I received, for the reasons listed above, I could not recommend it to other shoppers. Unfortunately, I haven't any better ideas to offer, since there seems to be a huge gap in price and quality...There's either crappy machines for $300 or less, or nice ones that start in the $1200's. Confidence Fitness Space Saving Elliptical Trainer

Overall, I like this elliptical so I gave it 4 stars. However, it is a bit wobbly and it does squeak a little (not a big deal, I'll just buy some oil for it). Putting it together was tedious because the instructions are really not that great and the diagram is really unclear. It's best to have two people when putting it together, although I did it by myself, it just took longer.

That's my review for the machine itself. Now, I do have to mention the seller, Golf Outlets of America - their packaging is really bad. The nuts, bolts and other small items weren't in a sealed bag but rather scattered around the box. The box ended up being damaged with a hole punctured through it so some of the nuts and bolts fell out. One of the parts was also damaged beyond repair. The good thing though was that Golf Outlets eventually responded to my e-mail about this and sent me out the missing parts (altogether, took me about 2.5 weeks to get the elliptical up because of this). Just thought I should mention this because they're the only seller of this product on Amazon.

After reading all the reviews, I was very concerned about the bid I'd just placed [I purchased mine on Ebay, as it was cheaper with free shipping]. Most of them stated that some part of the elliptical arrived damaged and took forever to be replaced. I contacted the seller and asked the proper procedure for returning/replacing the item should it, in fact, arrive broken. They were very prompt and responded the next business day--it's under warranty, and as long as you email a photo of the problem with a description, they'd send out another part right away.

I was anxious to get started, so I had my fingers crossed that the shipping wouldn't damage the machine [it was shipped from Canada--quite the journey to my 'burg!].

It arrived right on time, all sixty[!] pounds. The box was sealed with tape and bound with plastic, there appeared to be no damage to the packaging. I was hopeful. I opened the box and everything seemed to be sealed pretty well and packaged tightly.

I inspected each item for dents/dings/bends and found nothing out of sorts, so I began assembling it. The only problem I had with the directions was the visual diagram. It was a little bit unclear when it came to the smaller parts, but if you study it well enough with the written directions beforehand, it shouldn't be a problem.

So I began assembling it. The parts were heavy, so I had to have some help, but everything went together just fine, until I got to the second-to-last part--assembling the top bars with the greased rod. That was a little tricky, because I had to use a hammer [with a dish towel muffling the noise and protecting the part] to get the parts joined. With all of the handling the part lost some of the grease, so after one use it squeaks, but it's not a big deal since it just requires a little more lubricant, and the squeaking isn't so bad [I use headphones with music when I work out, so I can't hear it anyway]. I'll probably take the top part off to re-grease it at some point because I don't want it to sustain any damage. In addition to that, I'm not sure I connected the computer properly because it doesn't read anything but the pulse [it's supposed to start when you begin exercising with the machine, and track your speed, distance, calories burned, etc.] and the directions weren't super clear about how exactly to connect the tension/computer to the base. Probably a user error, but again, the diagram was really quite small and a bit blurry. I can just calculate the calories burned anyway, so the computer isn't an essential [though it would be nice if it worked properly!].

That said, as long as everything arrives in good condition and it's assembled properly, this should be a great starter elliptical! It's wobbly because the base is so short, so I wouldn't recommend anyone who's heavier to operate this [160-180 lbs. max, likely--I'm 130 and it's only mostly sturdy, though I'm not afraid of toppling].

All in all, it's a great value for what it is. The tension, if put on the highest setting, will make your legs burn in rather short order, so you know it's working!

Please note that anyone who's left a rather negative review has had a problem with broken parts in shipping/handling--so don't NOT buy this just because of that! It's a cheap elliptical, but it's sturdy enough for every day/4X weekly use. Just lubricate the rods every so often and tighten the bolts on the foot crank and the arms after every 2 uses or so and you should have no problem! Oh, and don't over-tighten the bolts on the plastic foot pedals! That's probably why the other user's cracked! Just tighten them enough so they're not at all wobbly and you should be good to go.

Are you ready for a better body and a more healthy life without the $500 price tag of most elliptical trainers? Buy this! [Keep in mind that it's not really appropriate for marathon training or very heavy exercising like the description states--it's more for moderate exercise to tone up and lose a few pounds or to maintain a great body--who wouldn't want that? :)]. - Fitness - Awesome - Exercise - Elliptical'

Ipad Leather Case - ipad folio, ipad cover

Like others, I was looking for a better, more professional looking iPad case than the Apple case. All in all, if that is what you're looking for, this is a great option. The materials, quality of construction, and protection versus slimness are great. I love the look of it. I love the different angles at which you can set the iPad. It is ideal for typing or viewing videos. The iPad is snuggly held.

However, there are two draw backs that leave me scratching my head as to how such thought could go into the construction and such obvious problems could be overlooked.

The first is the location of the clip next to the power/docking port. The connector is slightly larger than the space given and every night I have to slide the iPad out of the case just barely to get cable connected. Not a huge deal, but a minor frustration repeated daily.

Second is the inability of the cover to fold back all the way. I bought my iPad to do a lot of reading in addition to typing and videos. If you are looking to do the same, this will be a frustration. You either have to read with the cover open (which is more bothersome than it sounds) or once again slide the iPad out of the case.

All things considered, I'd still make the purchase, but I can't believe the designer didn't correct these simple annoyances to such a great case. Toblino: Leather iPad Case (Folio Convertable Case Multi-angle Stand For The Original Apple iPad)

After seeing the video review I decided to spring for this case. FINALLY A GOOD IPAD CASE!!! Really well made and very sturdy. I previously had the Apple case which no matter what I did collected junk all over it. This guy really puts the Apple case to shame. We show our wedding photography portfolio to clients via iPad lately [[...]] and this just makes it look so much more professional. Highly recommended.

Its way better then Apples brand, and most other cases. But it lacks versatility. Its great for using on counters, or watching videos on it and just laying it on fold 2 of the positions. The leather is of good quality. and it holds the ipad well in the case.

The only beef I have is if you are using it to read or browse the internet the flap gets in the way and I wish it would just fold back behind it.

After seeing several other cases in person and scouring the internet, I bought this case and am very happy with it.

+ The leather is much nicer than other plastic cases.

+ The slide-in design is far more secure and low-profile than other snap-in designs. In addition, one doesn't have to snap the two lower corners out each time you want to set the iPad up in the stand. The lower corners are protected, but slide out from their guards effortlessly.

+ The closure is a simple friction clasp that is easy to open and close and has no moving parts, magnets, velcro, etc. to fail or fall off.

- For displaying images, it would be nice if there were a third notch that would allow the iPad to stand almost vertical (near 90 deg) while in landscape mode. As it is, the most vertical notch keeps the screen at about 65 deg. However, you can just set the iPad up outside of the last notch and get it to stand nearly vertical. It's not as stable out of the notch, but I haven't had any problems with it slipping out of position.

- While holding the iPad with the case open, the cover doesn't fold back completely on itself. This means that it forms a little wedge that can be slightly awkward to hold at first. In landscape mode this is no problem, you just hold it so the spine of the case is on top and the cover just flops down on itself as far as it will go. In portrait mode if you grasp it on the spine side, you're holding a big wedge. If you grasp it on the open side without holding the cover, it flaps around. I've found that if I pop the iPad out of the bottom corner guards as though I'm going to set it up in the notches, and then grasp the spine of the case, the wedge of the case alone is a comfortable place to hold the iPad in portrait mode.

Overall it's the best iPad case I've seen, and it's a good price. The couple minor quirks kept me from giving it 5 stars, but they're fairly easy to deal with to get full functionality from this product.

absolutely the best case for Ipad. Initially it may not seem like a big deal, but once you use it you'll love it. went through three different ones and none was not even close to this. $25 is such a steal for real leather. please buy it. you'll love it. first time that i ever gave a review on amazon, but felt compelled to since I had really hard time finding the perfect case for Ipad. Hoping to help someone else.

I bought this after extensive online hunt for a good and practical cover for my iPad. Every other cover was either too thin to provide any protection or too bulky to maintain the aesthetic appeal of this gadget.

Pros:

1. Snug fit...doesnt cover even a millimetre of the screen and is tight enough to prevent the iPad from slipping out.

2. Inherently good design ensures it doesnt cover any of the ports, speaker or buttons.

3. 2 step stand...perhaps the most practical feature of this cover (once you start using the gadget regularly, you will realise how necessary it is to be able to prop it up) and also the one sorely lacking in other covers...(although the product description and some other reviews mention it as a 3 step stand, I happen to use the upright and semi-inclined position far more than the fully inclined one.....so cant comment about that).

4. Slick snap shut feature......this too might seem trivial but if you wanna carry your iPad in any bag you would want its cover to not flip open and let in objects in between the cover and the screen. Plus it manages to do this without any ugly button or velcro!

5. Leather....though not the rich Italian type, its far better than the hideous synthetic covers which attract dust.

6. Value for money.....at 25 bucks (29 with shipping) it is way better than the official iPad case which costs 40$ and doesnt have any of the above features.

Cons:

Unlocked Blackberry

HI All.

I have used a blackberry for over 10 years now...give or take. I have always been impressed by the devices they have created in the past and the current line of devices. Since I like to be on the bleeding edge of tech, I just had to get a 8900.

Most of you know by now what the new feature sets are of blackberries that are out today. The bold, the storm, and now this one The JAVELIN.

I wont go into too much detail but I will give you my quick run down.

The Javelin is perhaps the thinnest, lightest, small footprint blackberry that I have ever used. It sports a great look and the feel to the hands is awesome. It is after all the curve II. Screen comparison to the bold is that this unit has a higher resolution then the bold but a smaller physical screen. The higher resolution definitely adds some clarity to the screen...but it should be duly noted that the BOLD's screen is also beautiful. Yes I own both.

The Javelin is a EDGE/Wi-FI device...it does not have 3G capabilities. Technically you only need 3G if you want to be on the phone and receive/send emails at the same time when using your mobile connections...I personally have never needed that functionality. However, please note that if you are connected to WI-FI you are able to be on a telephone call and receive/send email etc over wi-fi....works perfectly.

The Javelin has a new processor which makes the device FLY. Yes the processor is slower then the one in the Bold, but one can hardly tell the difference....I have used both for weeks...and I can honestly say you will not notice the speed difference.

I have a 8gb MicroSD card installed in the device and use the software available from blackberry to synchronize all of my DRM free music from iTunes to the Blackberry. A must buy if you want to carry one device that does it all. Amazon has great prices on micro-sd cards.....

Here are what I consider to be the best features on the Javelin:

1. AUTOFOCUS 3.2mp Camera - It is AWESOME. Picture taking, due to focus, is a bit slower....however, the clarity and quality of the picture make it all worthwhile.

2. FOOTPRINT - Great looking device with a great size.

3. High Resolution screen - Awesome clarity....

4. The functionality of a blackberry has always been a pro..and this one makes it better with a faster processor and more zippy feel.

The three BAD things:

1. The speaker on this thing is so TINNY....that it hurts my ears with certain tones.....there is NO bass what so ever. That is to be expected in a device this small....so maybe some new tones need to be tested out.

2. Micro-USB - Why take something like mini-usb and replace it with something new. Now I have to get all new chargers, travel chargers, etc.... Upsetting but bareable.

3. The holster in the BOX is simply a pleather pouch of sorts...no belt clip etc... You will need to buy an aftermarket leather/plastic holster if you wish to attach to your belt. Not a deal breaker...but should be mentioned.

I am posting some images for your review also.

Overall this is a great 5 Star Device. BlackBerry Curve 8900 Javelin Unlocked Phone with 3.2 MP Camera, GPS Navigation, Stereo Bluetooth, and MicroSD Slot--International Version with No Warranty (Black)

I have now had a few days to check out the new T-Mobile Blackberry 8900. I will be comparing my most recent Blackberry, a T-Mobile 8800.

Good Points:

1. Nice screen; very good resolution; and good readability. Good for viewing attached documents.

2. Nice industrial design and small form factor.

3. Wifi (but it seems much slower than the Iphone or an old T-Mobile Dash I have around the house).

4. Pretty good camera. There is considerable shutter lag; but the photos are fair. Note that I cannot seem to be figure out how to turn off the annoying shutter sound. I tend to use a camera phone for reminders of a product or article that interested me. The shutter may be required by law in some locations; but I don't think it's required where I live.

5. Audible works a bit better. I am an Audible fan. (I also download audio books from Net Library, but they require a protected WMA format, which the 8900 does not support). I finally can downloads audio books directly to the device. There are still glitches, such as updating the My Library list, but it improved from essentially "non-functional" to "somewhat usable".

6. UMA--T-Mobile's voip option, worked quite well. Voice quality was so so (probably device limited) but setup was simple and it seems to work at various wifi sites without use of minutes or special hardware. I am excited to try this in Japan and on other international trips.

7. 3.5 mm headphone jack, started with the original Curve. Quite good sound though my headphones.

Not So Good Points:

1. Mediocre voice quality. My 8800 had exceptional voice quality. It was better than my Cisco Voip phone at work. The voice quality of the internal speaker for the 8900 is not nearly so good. I found myself continuously re-positioning the phone vis-a-vis my ear to try and hear better. This is a big problem; and makes me think about returning it rather than suffering through a year of poor voice calls. I have been with T-Mobile for seven years or so in the Chicago area (from right after Voicestream came to town). I find their service much better than AT&T and Verizon and rivaled only by Sprint (this may sound funny, but it is my experience). Anyway, this is probably the worst voice quality I have had on any of several Blackberry phones.

2. No 3G. May not mean so much for routine Blackberry functions, which are highly compressed, but for web browsing or downloads, lack of 3G is a big minus.

3. Annoying change from mini-usb to micro usb for device connections. I have several devices, such as M3P players and another phone that use mini-usb; now I need to have another cord just for the 8900 and buy some extra chargers and cords for when I travel. I note that the media-sync was much faster on the 8900 than my 8800. I don't know if this is because of better software, drivers or the micro usb (versus mini usb).

4. Annoying, audible phone dialing sound. In normal and other non-silent profiles, there is an annoying and very audible rapid dial sound that everyone around you can hear. My convoluted work around, found on line, is to use vibrate mode, and then have it ring. This is silly and annoying. It is representative of the settings limits for this phone that seriously detract from individual usability and customization.

5. The included case is a definite letdown. It is too small, leaving the top 1/2 inch of the device uncovered. It is too tight, making the phone tough to extract when answering a call, and there is not a belt clip.

6. Web browser--still bad. Bookmarks are a pain, locked in to useless T-Mobile sites, and browsing is not so good. I loaded Opera Mini but it doesn't seem to be well integrated. This may be the side effect of using an Iphone; by comparison the 8900 browser, even tough introduced more than a year after the Iphone, is so poor.

7. Reception seems to be worse than the 8800. It is difficult to compare exactly, but it seems that reception at home and work is a notch worse than my 8800. Not as bad as an Iphone, though, on AT&T.'

Carpet Protection

I just received this item yesterday and my baby wore it today crawling around, by the end of this evening, I noticed that the stitches that keep the round plastic protector in the front has become loose. It is held literally by one stitch and underneath it there is a very thin little cotton pad that's already starting to fall out due to the loose stitching. I am so very upset over this that I called amazon. I did not ask for a refund but instead I asked for an exchange because I already used the item. They were so very kind enough to exchange and will be shipping me a new one. Thank goodness for Amazon customer service! This item works but beware of the stitching on the front, expect it to fall apart. Ah Goo Baby Lean Leg Kneekers, Chocolate

Why does the name of this product include 12 Pack? It is very deceiving because it sounds as though you are purchasing a pack of 12 or am I just reading it wrong? There is nothing in the description that gives details of the contents, so I am left to rely on the name. And there is only one pair in the package, definitely not a 12 pack. Yes, if you compare the price to other similar products you would probably decide that the product is either really bad quality or there could not possibly be 12 pairs for the price, but still...why is it called a 12 Pack?...it needs to be renamed! And I will be returning it for that fact alone, well that and they are pretty tight on my little boy's chub chub legs.

No matter which knee pad you purchase, there will be some who like and some who do not, but Kneekers is not only the most reasonably priced knee protector for babies, but the only one that actually stays on and is soon to come in two sizes! One for little legs and the other one for fuller thighs called Chunkalicious. Either size is sure to fit perfectly and even if you buy one in each size for different stages. They are snug but will not harm baby. No velcro used which can pinch baby and ruin/pull other items in the dryer. Ah Goo Baby is soon to come out with two new styles with fun images on the knees. Give them a try. Totally worth the $12 bucks!'
