3 Hole Punch

I have always used a 2 hole punch and a flat document organizer to keep track of my son's school work, and I thought that this year, a 3-ring binder might be easier to flip through. I saw this on Amazon, and the price was right. It fits right into the binder, so it would be very convenient to have...

IF it actually worked. Two holes line up just fine. The third does not line up with the puncher and won't punch through paper. You can work around it by flipping over the paper, but why?

For about the same price, you can go to a store and get a nice hefty three-hole punch that you can test for yourself. It doesn't fit in the binder, and you have to go get it, but at least it works. X-Acto Binder 3-Hole Punch (1520) (Colors May Vary)

I bought this for my high school son. It works great as he just slips this into his 3 ring binder and uses it whenever he needs it at school. It does not add any bulk to his bag and has been working really well for the last year. However, it takes only 4 pages at a time and the little bits of paper fall out. That is not an issue given how light and sleek it is.

I received my hole punch and it was pink. I was going to give this as a gift to a boy along with other school supplies. I guess I'm out of luck. I tried it and it did punch the paper but it does not store the punched holes as was advertised. I was very disappointed because I have one by "It's Academic" and it does store the punched holes and it also has the holes for your binder. I will now buy the "It's Academic" brand.

I had the same issue as the other one-star reviewer. The punch seemed to work fine the first time I tested it out, but a few days later I retried it and one of the end holes did not fit anymore. Total waste of money.

This is my second one. I bought one from my mom's college because she is a professor at NJIT. It was about $14. My first impression was... That is expensive. It must be a waste of money. I mean, all school hole punchers are! (Well, Most of them if you compare them to this one!) I had that same hole puncher for about 2-3 years. It worked wonderfully. It works now, but has started to break. The description says hole-punch up to like 5 pages or something like that. I was able to hole punch PACKETS in that. Probably 20 pages! It's amazing. But hole-punching so many pages probably caused it to break.

So, I decided to buy another one! This was I think $5? So yeah, college products are over priced. Like the last one, I LOVED it. I actually bought two. One for me and one for my bf. The thing I did not like is they did not allow us to pick the colors. The two that came to me were Neon Green, and Neon Pink. Of course I had to take the pink. It was not a option for my boyfriend. He did not want the green, but he liked the hole puncher so he took it anyways. I think he is actually fine with the green, but it would be nice to pick your own colors. I wanted the green and he wanted the blue.

But whatever, who cares about the color when this is such an amazing product!! LOVE IT.

I received the hole punch in the mail, after much excitement and anticipation of its arrival, and it was PINK!! When the product says "colors may vary", it means it, because pink is definitely not the color I wanted. As for the functionality, it works for what it is. It definitely does NOT punch 20 pages, or even really more than 4 or 5. It is quite cheap, and flimsy, although what do you expect for the price. If you can, buy a good 'real' hole-puncher and don't waste your time or money on this, as far as compactibility, it is quite small, compared to larger metal hole punchers, so there are many trade-offs in this product.

I needed a 3 hole punch that was portable and that fact that it fits into my binder is even better. It isn't bulky and allows the binder to close regularly. I've used it with 3-4 sheets so far and it works great. The back does hold the punches while you are punching but as soon as you pick it up, they fall out. So you just have to mindful of that as carefully pick it up to empty it each time you just it.'

Scarves - scarf, scarves

This scarf is big, soft and warm! The color is spot on and there is no problem with the quality of the fabric. I scrunches up nicely so it doesn't feel too bulky around my neck but still keeps me warm. I am very pleased with my new Pashmina! Black 1 The Scarf Shop Solid colors 100% Pashmina Scarf Shawl Wrap Stole in 20 Beautiful Colors for women

I was actually hoping that this pashmina scarf did not include wool... my skin is allergic to real wool and for years when I would visit big cities I would visit those street carts to buy cheap 'pashminas' that were made of nice synthetic stuff that I could wear on my neck. When my favorite gray one finally wore out I bought this, because the color matched so well, but apparently it does include wool... because it was pretty itchy (to me... normal people I have polled do not feel the itch).SO, for most people this is probably a plus, but just so you're aware, this pretty scarf seems to be wool. I even rated it 5 stars anyway, because the color is so shimmery pretty gray that I will wear it over formal dresses (away from my neck) and love it.

The word "pashmina" is not a labeling term recognized by law in the United States. According to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission:

"Some manufacturers use the term pashmina to describe an ultra fine cashmere fiber; others use the term to describe a blend of cashmere and silk. The FTC encourages manufacturers and sellers of products described as pashmina to explain to consumers, on a hangtag, for example, what they mean by the term. As with all other wool products, the fiber content of a shawl, scarf or other item marketed as pashmina must be accurately disclosed. For example, a blend of cashmere and silk might be labeled 50% Cashmere, 50% Silk or 70% Cashmere, 30% Silk, depending upon the actual cashmere and silk content. If the item contains only cashmere, it should be labeled 100% Cashmere or All Cashmere. The label cannot say 100% Pashmina, as pashmina is not a fiber recognized by the Wool Act or regulations."

I wanted to buy one or two or ten, but without knowing the content, I do not want to buy. I'm surprised they are allowed to say 100% Pashmina on Amazon, when the FTC says items for sale in the US cannot be labeled this way. - Scarves - Pashmina - Wraps - Scarf'

Butterfly Earrings - amethyst, butterfly

I was disappointed to find the the stones in the earings I received were nowhere as nice as the picture. My stones are very pale as opposed to the deep rich stones advertised in the picture. I feel this was very misleading. Sterling Silver Amethyst Butterfly Earrings

I bought these earrings for myself along with several other pieces of jewelry on Black Monday as gifts for my adult female friends. I'm very disappointed with the sizes of everything I bought; Amazon should show pictures that are more "true to size" in the future for jewelry items.

As to the color of the stones, they are "ok", but just "ok". I was expecting a deeper, richer purple color than I received. I love amethysts and they are my birthstone, so I have several pieces to compare these with and these are truly lacking in tonal quality.

They really are more fitting in size for a little girl instead of a grown woman. They are stud earrings, and they are cute, but tiny!!! I'm really glad now that I didn't buy the matching pendant, it would look ridiculous on me. If you are looking for a perfect gift for a young lady of 6-13 years old, then these earrings and the matching pendant would be the thing to buy.

I won't be buying any more jewelry items from Amazon unless they start showing accurate photographs of their products.

I bought these earrings as a gift and could not be happier with the earrings themselves. They are exactly as described. Yes the picture is bigger; perhaps if people learned to read they wouldn't be disappointed with the size. I think they are a good size for earrings. The necklace would be too small for an adult. The amethysts are a lovely purple color. Just wish the presentation could be better than a bag. A small box would be nice. Presentation is the only reason I gave them 4 stars instead of 5.

I bought these because it is my birth stone. I really like them because it is hard to find inexpensive earrings that do not irritate my ears. I have worn them for 5 days without taking them off and my ears feel find. I would recommend these for kids and adults.

THESE WERE VERY SMALL --A PERFECT SIZE FOR LITTLE GIRLS-- BUT I WEAR THEM AS CASUAL WEAR AND FEEL GREAT...VERY GOOD QUALITY....AND I AM AN AMETHYST LOVER...SO THESE WERE A MID-PURPLE ..NOT PALE AT ALL.

Sterling Silver Amethyst Butterfly Earrings these are the cutest earrings. they are a little small, but they a beautiful! they're perfect for a second or third hole in your ear. I have worn them in all 3 of the holes in my ears.

I purchased a pair of sterling silver RED GARNET earrings for my best friend for Christmas. I was extremely disappointed with the color of the stone. The stone is more of an amber color and will not go with anything. My best friend would truly be disappointed as red is her favorite color. I will never purchase another item from this company.

I wasn't too sure about having jewelry being made by Amazon (who knew?) but took the plunge. It came in a dark blue box with a velvet like pouch inside. I held my breath as I opened the pouch......

Amazing! The earrings look exactly as pictured here. The quality and craftship are amazing especially when factoring in the price. Why buy fake jewelry when you can get the real thing at these prices? This was purchased as a gift for a younger relative but now I will be buying some in this line for myself.

These earring look like they cost a lot more then they did and I'm hoping the cost doesn't increase with the demand. - Amethyst - Butterfly - Jewelry - Earrings'

32 Gb Flash Drive - 32gb, usb flash drive

This Kingston DataTraveler DT101 Gen2 32GB USB flash drive has a very nice compact design. It is about the same size as the SanDisk Cruzer Micro (with the USB port retracted). See the size comparison picture I uploaded to Customer Images section. What cannot be seen from the picture is that the Kingston drive is slightly thicker. That makes it impossible to insert two Kingston flash drives into two adjacent USB ports, whereas two Sandisk drives can be stacked one on top of another.

I benchmarked the Kingston DT101 G2 flash drive as soon as I received it. The initial result I got, using the free "Flash Memory Toolkit" program, was not very impressive. It shows that for smaller files of 1-5MB, the write speed is only 5.7 - 6.2MB/s (see the Customer Image section for screenshot). In contrast, the Transcend 16 GB JetFlash 500 was able to achieve higher speed of 6.8MB/s (for 1MB file) to 11.3MB/s (for 5MB file).

For transferring very large files, however, this Kingston drive really shines. I benchmarked its read/write speed using 1GB video files, and was able to achieve up to 11.4MB/s in write, and 20.2MB/s in read. This is over twice as fast as its rated speed, which claims just 5MB/s write and 10MB/s read. In contrast, the Transcend drive only achieved 7.5MB/s in write and 13.4MB/s in read, under the same test conditions.

In summary, the Kingston DT101 G2 flash drive may not be suitable for tasks which require frequent read/write of smaller files, such as using it for daily backup or as a 'ReadyBoost' device. But for transferring large chunk of data, such as storing temporary video files for playback on my WD TV Live Media Player, it performs the job really well. I consider this product a very good value, especially at its present low cost of just $1.60 per GB.

Some additional notes:

- The good thing about USB flash drive is that: the unit cost ($/GB) drops by half every year. So I can get this 32GB flash drive for about the same price I paid for a 2GB drive four years ago. The bad thing is that: no matter how large the drive capacity, I always manage to fill it up to the brim in seemingly no time.

- The capacity for this Kingston '32GB' flash drive, as reported by my computer, is 29.7GB. Note that this is actually normal, because 1GB to computer people means 2 to the power of 30, which is about 7.4% greater than 1 billion. So 29.7GB translates to approximately 32,000,000,000 bytes, which means '32GB' according to marketing people.

- This Kingston flash drive came pre-loaded with 'urDrive' software, similar to the infamous 'U3' software for previous generations of Sandisk flash drives. I have no intention to use urDrive, so I renamed the 'Autorun.inf' file (found on the root directory) to 'Autorun._inf'. That way, I don't have to be bothered by it ever again - but it is still available in case I changed my mind.

- The drive is pre-formated in FAT32 file system for maximum compatibility. That means its largest file size is limited to 4GB. If you need to transfer files larger than 4GB, you have to reformat this drive to NTFS. Be warned that doing so wipes out all existing files, including urDrive. Kingston Digital 32 GB USB 2.0 Hi-speed Datatraveler Flash Drive DT101G2/32GBZ, Purple

I got this flash drive as a gift from my aunt. It's 32 GB!!! Could you imagine it two years ago? I use it to store my school work, music collection, photo album, HD videos and so on. I would like to share my experience with everyone after using it for more than three months. This USB drive simply works!

Pros:

This flash drive is fast and huge. 32gb is a lot of space for a small device like this. Nice looking and elegant design. The most important one is its affordable price.

Cons:

None.

If you need a small usb flash drive that you can carry it every day in your pocket with huge storage space, this is the one.

This is an excellent flash drive! Kingston made a great innovation by integrating the cover for the usb port with a swinging metal shield. That way, I long longer have to worry about losing those small caps.

In the metal piece, there is also a hole at the top so that you can attach a string to it, some people like to hang their flash drives around their necks (so they are always sure where it is).

This drive is very reliable, the Reading speed is 10MB/sec, while the Writing speed is 5MB/sec.

I highly recommend this Flash Drive.

I've only been using it a few days, and I can already tell it's faster than any of my other drives. And for the price, ya can't beat it. Unfortunately, I could only find it in purple, but I can live with that. :)

I was looking for a capless flash drive with a lot of storage that I could attach to my keychain. This one seemed to be the only one that met that description, so I went for it. I've only had it about a week, but transferring my files to it was really fast and the design seems sturdy enough to last me a while. My only criticism is that the loop for attaching it to a keychain or something could be a tad bigger. I'm going to have to stop by the hardware store to pick up a slim keyring if I want to attach it and well, since that was part of the appeal of the design, I had to knock a star. Otherwise, I'd recommend this one. I looked at them all and for the price, speed, storage size, and design, well, this one's the clear winner. - Flash Drive - Thumb Drive - 32gb - Usb Flash Drive'

Bodybuilding - fitness, mens health

We bought "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Weight Training" shortly after getting a Marcy Classic Standard Bench with Arm Curl and Best Fitness BFMG20 Sportsmans Gym to make sure my son and I knew how to do the exercises properly. This is great starting point and will likely save newcomers to the "sport" from a lot of wasted effort or dangerous practices. Here are my observations:

Pros -

+ Authoritative Advice; the authors are actual athletes (a female powerlifter, a male Kayaker, and a male cyclist)

+ Safety Focused; everything is presents with a "safety first" mind set

+ Inclusive; has information on free weights, machines, and cardio

+ Easy to Follow Format; starts with the basics and progress to more advanced concepts (really needs to be read start to finish)

Cons -

- Pictures; while there are a good amount of pictures, they vary in usefulness

Misc -

* Humor; the authors included a lot of humor and idle banter that I enjoyed, but more serious reads might find it distracting

I strongly recommend reading this book all the way through as it really doesn't get into the actual lifting until Chapter 6 and it might be tempting to avoid the sections on nutrition, gym selection, and stretching, but there is a lot off really good information to be found in those earlier chapters.

The sections on debunking myths are very helpful as well, especially with the "weight vs reps" debate that is common among gym lifters.

Highly Recommended!

CFH The Complete Idiot's Guide to Weight Training Illustrated, 3rd Edition

This book provides fantastic easy to use information for the beginning weight-lifter. If you are more advanced, you may already know the information in this book--though it sheds light on faulty techniques commonly seen in the gym.

This book is more than meet's the eye. It has muscle diagrams for each exercise in the book so you can see exactly which muscle you're targeting. For instance, some exercises only target the middle deltoids, while others work on the rear or front.

Also, this book takes a more scientific approach to weight lifting instead of just repeating common sense and personal intuition of some olympic weight lifter. For example, it says that contrary to popular belief, multiple scientific studies have shown that just doing one set of an exercise is just as effective as wasting hours at the gym doing 5 or 10 sets like some guys do. Doing 1 set is MUCH more efficient than doing 5 or 10. Especially for beginners.

This is the only weight training book you will need: A+ - Strength - Fitness - Bodybuilding - Mens Health'

Brad Nails

These are fairly soft as brads go, but at this length, deflection is not a major problem. You do still have to be careful, though. These are fine for smaller chores, like fastening thin shelves in dadoes or applying trim moldings. They hold well, but are tough to remove if you misfire. B & C Eagle B18-1 1-Inch 18 Gauge Galvanized Finish Brad Nail (5,000 per Box)

I haven't tried these yet, hence the neutral score, but I suspect Derek's problems might have been due to trying to use 18 gauge nails in a 16 gauge finish nailer (FN250A). No wonder they would misfire.

Sometimes you need just a fairly short brad and these will fit the bill. They are fairly inexpensive and work just fine for those times when a short fastener is all you need. Not a whole lot one can say about brads but you can't go wrong with these.

These nails are not of the quality necessary for the Porter-Cable Finish Nailer that they are typically advertised with (FN250A and others). They sometimes came out 2 at a time, not at all, or caused the nailer to jam. I called Porter-Cable, and acquired their nails, and the problems went away. I would not recommend these nails, especially for this nailer.'

Manicure Sets - pedicure set, pedicure kit

Bought this for my wife after she had requested one for Mother's Day. She expected the standard $19.99 model from the local specialty store. She is delighted with this kit. Much more powerful and versatile than her past kits. Great product. Body Toolz Electric Manicure Pedicure Kit

Hi, I've been trying similar products for many years and find that the battery operated manicure products are just no good at all for me. I may as well use an emery board. This product, while not very strong, is good and does the job quickly. My problem is enlarged toe nails that can only be cut by a podiatrist. Using this product over several times solved everything, and I now don't have to hide my toenails. merrilyninforesthills pussycats2@verizon.net

Happy with the product. Good price for what it does. Don't care for the flat tool for filing nails; the plastic ridge gets in the way. But I bought it mainly for pedicures anyway and the rest of the tools work fine. Problem with other manicure kits was the rechargeable battery quitting long before it should. Hope this one lasts longer.

I used this product for the first time this past weekend and was delighted with the results. I try to pamper myself every weekend with a home manicure and pedicure and with this product I was able to achieve very professional results! - Pedicure - Pedicure Set - Nail Tools - Pedicure Kit'
