Before you can actually use this product you first must accustom your pet to the PediPaws. Unless he or she is in a coma, your pet will absolutely despise the sound and vibration of it. Don't let that deter you! As the caring, dedicated pet owner that you are, you will persevere!



After one very long week, I learned that Sophie the dog is more patient than stubborn, and grudgingly learned to "put up" with the tool. However, Fuzzy the cat refused to do the same--he saw no need to suffer fools gladly.



The experience revealed two major drawbacks with the PediPaws: It files the nail in miniscule amounts at a time and can only be used in bursts of 7 seconds or so. (If used longer, the heat generated through friction could injure your pet.) If your dog's nails are overlong, this project could take you days---maybe weeks. Even if the nails were recently trimmed, you will have to constantly file them to maintain that length.



If you and your pet are extraordinarily patient, you would probably not even worry about purchasing this product, but you might enjoy the challenge of using it nonetheless. If you find it hard to resist a new gadget or power tool, I recommend buying the complete Dremel Drill Tool Set. That way, when you abandon using it to file nails, you will be able to find less dubious uses for it.



As for myself, I intend to keep it and, during evenings while watching TV, I will file my own nails. It is my hope that its sound, vibration and heat will remind me to never again purchase anything that is: "As Seen On TV." PediPaws Pet Nail Trimmer

I was excited when my pedipaws arrived, my dog hates having her nails trimmed and keeping her still is a chore. I acclimated my dog just like the instructions say, and she did okay but the pedipaws didnt. It's basically a grinder so you would think its easy, but the thing only has one speed, a safety guard that blocks your view, and is bulky and awkward. I managed to grind down my dogs nails, but not smoothe them well. I do not expect everyone to have the same experience that I have, but I still would not reccomend this product.

I am a professional dog groomer, and we hear SO many complaints about this tool, and have gained so many new nail grinding clients since it's introduction. It doesn't have good battery life, and isn't tough enough for a large dog's nails.



The Dremel MiniMite is a MUCH better investment, because it actually has enough power for larger dog's toenails. It is light weight, not too noisy, easy to control. I've only had two dogs in the past month (out of a couple hundred) that objected to it too badly to finish the job.

It doesn't have a guard, but just do a swipe at a time until you figure out how much it'll take off. If youre not sure how to do this, google "toenail grinding" and you'll be able to figure it out pretty quick.



It is still possible to quick dogs with these tools, and if you press and hold them, the heat caused by the friction does become uncomfortable.



For really long nails, it's best to trim off the excess with a regular nail trimmer, and then after that you can upkeep them without trimming, just the grinding.

My dog 60lbs hates the sound. This product also took a very long time to use. Pressure on the sanding stick cause the sanding to stop. This product was pretty much useless to me and a waste of time and money.

I have to give Pedipaws an average score. Here are the pros and cons of what I have found:



PRO

It wasn't as loud as my Dremel and my dog wasn't freaked out, but it dids take some coaxing for her to get used to the noise. Now my dog is fine with it.

I like the guard so my dog can't reach down and grab it, which could cause harm if a dog grabbed a Dremel without a guard.

I like that it takes the nails off in small amounts, so I don't overdo it and hit the quick.

For me, it is easy to use.



CON

It is battery operated using C batteries and I hate using batteries. I wish it was corded.

The file tool will eventually become dull and I will have to replace it and they are expensive. I am going to try to find a way to make my own, saving a lot of money hopefully!

The guard is a yellow color and makes it harder to see what you are filing.

You can't use much pressure at all or the wheel stops, which is a good thing, in that it is hard to cut into the quick, but bad in that it takes a long time to get the nail trimmed. You can only file for 3 seconds and then you move on to another nail, and do them all, then come back and do it all over again, which takes time and I mean TIME! So busy people, better to use the nail cutters.

I don't know how this will hold up in time. It is fine now, but it doesn't have the quality of a Dremel in my opinion.



So that is what I have found about my Pedipaws. Would I buy it again? Yes and no. Yes, if they made it to where you could adjust the speed more, so you could get more filed. I understand too much power would be bad, but just a little more power would do wonders. I would want it corded so I wouldn't have to buy batteries. Also an affordable way to buy extra file wheels. Then I would buy it. It would be a great thing. But like it is I would pass on it. If you have a dog who hates nail cutters, you might try this, but the noise might be another obstacle to overcome.

So my final verdict is: This could have been a great product, but like it is, it is just OK.

I was a little unsure about this purchase since most "seen on tv" products are cheap and don't work. BUT I love this! It worked on my 50 lb dog and my little 15 lb dog. My little dog is scared to death of noises, but she wasn't bothered at all. They both actually liked getting this done. I was in shock! It trimmed their nails perfectly. After 45 years of homemaking I finally found a solution to dull instruments. I now own three of these products for sharpening; knives, scissors and this one for garden tools. I've used it on all of my larger objects. I call it "sharpening for dummies" because I have no skills but want sharp garden tools. If only they made a mini sharpener so that I didn't have to disasemble my pruning shears I'd be a very happy camper. Accu Sharp 060 GardenSharp Tool Sharpener

This is a cheap, simple tool to use, and gives good results. I've used it to sharpen a few clippers, hedge trimmers, and the lawn mower blade on a cordless Black & Decker lawnmower which was pitted and dulled. All tools I used it on seem to perform noticeably better than before.

Worked great on my bypass pruners (large and small) and my grass shears (all Corona drop-forged). My large pruner was very dull after many years of use and the Accu Sharp renewed the blade better than I expected. On the first few passes it actually took off visible little pigtails of metal shavings as it honed the cutting blade to a precise, uniform and shiny-new edge. I can't imagine a professional sharpener doing a better job. I accidentally cut my thumb with a light bump against the sharpened blade! Totally my fault - I wasn't using the accusharp at the time. I held the sharpener at an angle keeping one side of the "V" shaped sharpening notch flat against the flat side of the cutting blade. This was not difficult to do - in fact the Accusharp seemed to "lock in" comfortably at this off-center angle. For the Coronas no dis-assembly was required. I spray the blades with WD40 to maintain the edges between use. I've only sharpened my tools once so far so I can't say how long the Accusharp lasts but at this price you can buy two. I'm here to buy my "back-up" now. The kitchen version of this tool has replaceable blades but I haven't seen them for the garden version.

Very easy and safe to use (compare to using the old stone block type sharpener). Took only a few quick 'swipes' on the blade and you are done. I have some rusty garden tools and this thing saves me from buying new ones

I just got it so I can't say about durability yet



My only complaint is to amazon. it took them a whole month to shipped this thing to me.

Used it for the first time this week on two blades from my Toro Timecutter zero-turn radius lawnmower. I didn't find it necessary to hold the blades in a vice: I wore leather gloves and with one hand held the blade on a piece of wood while drawing the tool along the blade with the other. It took a few passes to get the feel for it, but once I got the proper angle the tool did a fair job of sharpening the blade. Contrary to the instructions, I found it necessary to exert some force on each pass, with the recommended "light pass" not being too effective. But in the end, the blade was sharp.



PROS: Easy to use, cheap, effective. Unlike a bench grinder, this tool does not remove a lot of metal, which is probably the reason that both blades were almost perfectly balanced after sharpening. Also, the blades should last longer, since so little metal is actually being removed.

CONS: May not be robust enough to sharpen an extremely dull blade or one with significant denting or pitting.

I was hoping this would work on a spade, shovel, etc. just like they show in the picture. It ONLY works on thin blades. NO WAY will this put an edge on a large tool. It did sharpen small pruning shears and a chisel, both with pretty thin/decent edges. I would not recommend unless you need for small hand tools.

I've only used it a couple of times, but the Accu Sharp 060 GardenSharp Tool Sharpener works well on my garden tools. I purchased this specifically for my garden tools because I don't want to mess up my Accu Sharp knife sharpeners from my kitchen on my tools - just in case there is a difference. This is, however, MUCH better than another tool sharpener, the Byers Lawn Mower Blade and Tool Sharpener which I purchased two or three years ago from a local home center. For the money and for the job this can't be beat.

I tried to an item to sharping my gardening tools for many years. They have a corona one that does not work well until Accusharp. This item does the job. No grips but the refill cost as much as the item. Highly recommend for garden tools. - Knife Sharpener - Sharpener - Tool Sharpener'

I am a college mathematics student and thus i find myself writing a lot. I write notes in class, recopy them, write down proofs over and over, as well as write out a lot of homework. Being a student means that I'm also on a budget! Thus, having a nice, inexpensive pen is key to my success.



I love fountain pens over ball point pens because you don't have to press so hard to write. Pressing hard for so long turns writing into a painful task. This particular pen is actually designed for comfort and I have no problem writing with it for hours on end. It has a slightly triangular grip which makes it easy to hold, and it is also very light. The strong clip on its cap is such that the pen never rolls off any desk.



The nibs or tips of these pens are very strong and can take a lot of abuse. They have the same fine craftmanship as the more expensive lamy pens, but, the body being made of a plastic makes these pens very affordable. I am no expert on plastics but the one this pen is made from is a very high quality and strong. I don't imagine the body of this pen would break even if you drove over it in a car.



Adding to the inexpensiveness of these pens is that, with a converter cartridge, they are also refillable. You have to buy this cartridge separately, but it is only a few dollars, and available wherever the pens are sold. With an extra fine nib, one bottle of ink easily lasts me a year and I drain a normal pen in a day or two. The clear plastic converter cartridge is one which you twist in order to refill it. I like the cartridge much better than the more traditional squeeze and fill ink bladders which are messier and you can't see how much ink is actually in them.



This pen in particular has an interesting look. It is see through, which is fun to look at but also helpful because I can see how much ink I have left and know if I need to refill it before class.



A decent single use pen can cost you 5 dollars easily. The initial price of this pen is more but it will last you forever as well as spoil you with a writing quality far above that of a decent 5 dollar single use pen. Fountain pens in general have a timeless style and this one is especially good looking. It is designed for comfort and most of all, its really cheap! Of all the fine pens I own (including Montblanc, Pelikan, Waterman and several antique pens) the Lamy Safari is the pen I use the most. As the previous reviewer mentions, it's supremely light, which supports/encourages long bouts of writing, and the nib, while steel, is flexible but strong and emits just the right amount of ink for consistently legible writing (I prefer the Fine nib). Additionally, one can pull the nib out from the plastic casing to better clean the pen, when called for, something one cannot do with many other fountain pens. Overall, Lamy makes a great product across the board, but for a fountain pen under $30, there are few on par with the Safari.

Strong clip, tough workhorse pen in a shape that won't roll off the desk, comfortable grip, and cool see-through body gets this pen noticed at work. Make sure to get the EF nib though, which is similar to an American fine. Anything else is hugely broad in my view. broad nibs take up too much ink and are not as comfortable to write with, but that is a very debatable opinion, I realize.



The nib has a unique velvety feel to it and is firm, but not a nail, meaning it has a teensy bit of give. I see architects with these sometimes, because they have a cool gadgety look. Lightweight pen is very long with the cap posted. I really should get a few more of these, though the clear one is the coolest-looking. Get a syringe (and good luck with that; no one will believe you are not a drug addict) and fill up your empty carts each time to avoid tossing plastic, or use a converter.



This is strange, but my handwriting is slightly different depending on the pen I use (and I only write with fountain pens). I really like the version I get with this pen, so I guess I can say the Lamy Vista improves my handwriting. This is from a person who has hundreds of pens, mostly low-end, good quality workhorses from Pilot and other Asian companies. I still love my German Lamys and Pelikans too. Write on!

It's a quality pen, writes smoothly and without skipping. The Lamy logo on the vista is not molded into the plastic as with the Safari, rather it is printed on with a silver film, which is prone to scratch if it mixes in with keys and the like (my pens take some abuse as I clip them inside the pocket of my jeans). I find the EF nib often more practical than my F Lamy Safari or F Lamy 2000 (which writes more like an M). The Vista is my current every day carry pen. Pick up a little red converter as soon as you can, it not only allows you to use any bottled ink (I love noodlers) but it looks pretty cool in the clear body too.

It is a big plastic pen. The Vista Demo Clear is practical that you can tell how much ink left. I used it with the Z24 safari converter with Parker Quink ink. The Extra Fine nib is wider than fine, not extra fine. The width of it is mainly depends on the paper you use and the speed you write. In brief, it is a very good fountain pen.

I'm essentially echoing comments similar to the aforementioned. The Vista arrived with an extra-fine steel nib. The Vista, with its transparent barrel and cap, brilliant inner chrome workings, and red Z24 converter is a very cool looking pen to me ... modern, hi-tech, and light weight. This is a high quality pen, and for the price, perhaps the most value-based fountain pen on the market. The extra-fine nib with the Z24 converter writes smoothly, evenly and without skipping. So, in addition to a great nib, there's an excellent ink flow system. The Z24 fills completely and I recommend it highly. The Lamy logo while not molded into the plastic looks appropriate for the Vista. The clip works very well which is good for me as I am a bit nit-picky about clips. The cap is a friction fit which I like for fast access, and it has just enough oompf to it while not being so strong that ink gets sucked out on cap removal.



This is not a pen with heft, it's light in weight. I find it most comfortable uncapped and not posted when writing. When posted it is very long, top heavy, and for me too awkward feeling. Additionally, one can pull the nib out from the plastic casing to better clean the pen, something one cannot do with many other fountain pens. You don't need to press hard for the ink to appear on paper which relieves hand strain. I find the extra fine nib to be perfect for everyday uses. The strong clip is a yielding one, the shape of this tough workhorse will prevent it from rolling off the desk, and triangular thin grip is strange for me, but isn't bad. This is on of the most anticipated games to be ported to PCs. For this, the Director's Cut edition was produced, adding some content over the console versions (mostly rooftop action missions), and care was taken to make the gamepad to keyboard/mouse-transition as seamless as possible. For the most part it was successful.



This is a TREMENDOUSLY BEAUTIFULLY GAME. The first thing that grabs you is how REAL the city environments feel. The graphics are just OUT OF THIS WORLD! You will need a very good PC to enjoy their full potential (minimum requirements provided below), but real skies, dynamic shadows, facial expressions and realistically flowing robes are only beginning to describe it! Run on a roof and the other citizens will gather around and comment on your crazy behavior! Throw someone on a vendor's cart and he will come after you complaining about his ruined produce! And the city is alive well beyond your character. If only BIOWARE could take some lessons for its next BALDUR's GATE...



Adding to this is the wonderful sound! From the crowd murmurs and the NTCs cries for help, to the whistling of the wind and the well-chosen background music, a good sound-card and speakers set is recommended to truly enjoy this game. If you have a 5.1 speaker system (I do not) I can imagine the experience to become even more immersing.



As to the gameplay, you control Altaïr ibn La-Ahad ("The Flying One, Son of None"). He is a member of the Assassin Brotherhood that sides, well, with both...sides, during the 3rd Crusade. In a story twist, he is also your ancestor, the game being your/his flashback memories. This is a twist I could do without, but I would guess it lays groundwork for the sequels.



The Third person perspective works beautifully and will never loose your interest. Most missions require sneaking and murdering in the shadows. Others will have you eavesdropping for passwords or pickpocketing documents to gain access into target buildings. Some will have you sharpen those sword skills. Still, the game does not avoid its share of stupid "keep this...suicidal character from getting killed" missions. Keep in mind though that ASSASSIN's CREED is rather a strategically thinking action TPS, not a hack&slash fast-paced one.



Controlling your character with a keyboard/mouse takes a lot of getting used to as you have to manage running, climbing, fighting as well as modifying your actions from low to high visibility. The keys are remapable but their complexity will never let you forget you are playing a game. Now for some bad news.



These are the official MINIMUM Requirements:

* Pentium D 2.6GHz (YES, Dual Core!) (or AMD equivalent)

* 1GB RAM (WinXP) or 2GB (WinVISTA) (3GB RECOMMENDED!)

* nVidia 6800 (or Shader Model 3.0 compliant or ATI equivalent)

* Dual-Layer DVD-ROM (or BluRay disc)

* 12GB HDD Space (although my install folder was no larger than 7GB)



As one can see, this is worse than CRYSIS! What I cannot get is how on earth ASSASSIN works on only 512MB of RAM of the XBox, yet it is recommended to have...3GB of RAM on a PC! Sure, the extra content is nice but who did the porting, unpaid interns? Has ANY PC optimization been attempted at all?

Keep also in mind that (as with CRYSIS) in order to fully enjoy the game, barely meeting the minimum requirements means you will barely experience the game. I refuse to deal with WinVISTA so, obviously, this review pertains to DirectX-9. The game is also DirectX-10 compatible, something I cannot comment on though. And now for some good news.



UBISOFT has been recently hit with a $5million class-action suit for hardware (OK, "allegedly") damaged by StarForce bundled with its games. Since, they have announced to be abandoning its StarForce partnership - so let's all rejoice: unlike other UBISOFT games, ASSASSIN's CREED does NOT sport StarForce! Instead, a much milder SafeDisc is used.

It is a pity it took litigation to finally listen to their own customers (suing StarForce would make much more sense, but try finding them in Russia!), but let's count our blessings.



So, overall, this is a well made and beautiful, immersing (although quite short) game that needed more work in PC optimization (where it looses 1 star Overall) and character control (where it looses 1 star for Fun).



As Altair himself would have put it: "Nothing is true. Everything is permitted."

Just a warning... if you have a standard non-widescreen monitor, the pc version of Assassin's Creed is locked in at a widescreen ratio. There is no option for full screen either. Which means that it will play on a standard monitor but the black bars on top and bottom are huge! They take up half the screen. This might be something to consider before purchasing this game if you have a standard full screen size monitor. It doesn't matter which resolution you choose, the black bars will be huge on a regular 4:3 monitor. I chose 1024 x 768, 1280 x 960, and 1280 x 1024: all the same: huge black bars.



The game itself is still very entertaining but the controls on the pc take some getting used to. In fact, you can definitely tell this game was meant to be played on the console not the pc. Once you get used to the pc controls, the game become much more enjoyable.



The graphics are incredibly good although it seemed like the further I got in the game, the more faded the graphics looked in places on the pc version. Also, I really, really like the amount of freedom you have in Assassin's Creed. You can choose however you want to accomplish each objective and whatever order you want. The game is pretty open that way. You can explore the city for hours if you want before doing the objectives too.



Because of the inability to play in full screen and the awkward controls on the pc, I'd rather play this particular game on the PS3 or xbox 360. Even on the console, there is still a problem with the game play. It gets pretty redundant after a while. How many times can you protect a citizen, pick pocket, etc.? After about the 4th or 5th assassination, you might start to get a little bored with this game. There are 9 assassinations you must make and I really started to lose interest after the 4th or 5th one. It gets to be the same thing over and over again. - Download - Pc Game - Pc - Action'

Bottom Line: Do not believe the product description, and definitely do not believe the picture.



These diamond earring claimed to be I-J in color, which they are not. Both diamonds are clearly yellow, in the L-M possible in the N category. Unacceptable for the description of the product.



That said, the delivery was prompt and the packaging was nice, but if the product is going to claim an original price of $1,000, then sell for $299, the quality should at least get closer to the $1,000 dollar price tag. 1/2 Carat (ctw) Diamond Stud Earrings in 14K White Gold

I debated ordering these, but the price seemed too good to be true based on the description. Unfortunately I was correct... These are not what I expected based on the image and description. I'm no gemologist, but I don't believe the H-I rating on the diamonds. One had a slightly different cut than the other and was noticeably more yellow in color. I don't believe these are anywhere close to a $1000 dollar pair of earrings. If they were 100 dollars I might encourage people to buy, but I can't in good conscience recommend this product.

What you will get. You will get what you paid for.



1/2 carat (that is two 0.25 carat stones), each of them is be 4.1 mm big.

The color is not white as on picture, it is IJ, and I would say it is J as you can see the yellow tone.

I1-I2 means the presence of inclusions. Those stones are one of the worth grades, but it is clearly specified and you cannot complain.



What I like: The price. The fast delivery. Awesome packaging.



What I don't like: The picture is not close to what you are getting. Not white blue. They don't sparkle. Too many inclusions and the color on the yellowish side.

And the worst: That "post-with-friction-back" thing is not aligned and the post is clearly not in the center. I know, nobody will probably see it when she wears it. Still, I am not happy with this quality.

Dont be fooled by the image, these are tiny studs. the diamond quality (Color and Cut) is not that great either. I bought them when they were offered as a Gold Box deal. I got them for $280, so cannot complain.

Many previous reviews of these earrings had a problem with the color or clarity of these diamonds. I was worried that when I got them, I'd be disappointed in the color, or think the quality was too low of a grade to actually give my wife. Well, the color and the quality were not an issue whatsoever. However, the size was of concern to me. Not that they were smaller or larger than I had expected, but that the earrings were not a match in size with each other. Just sitting in the box, side-by-side, it was very easy to see that the two diamond studs were a different size and did not look like a matching pair. I am in the process right now of trying to see what my options are for an exchange.

I gave these to my wife and she loved them. They arrived extremely quickly and just as described. Granted, they are not the very best quality available on the planet but they definitely do the job. They sparkle nicely and the setting is beautiful. My wife and I personally don't believe in spending a fortune on perfect diamond studs considering she wears them daily and will get hairspray, shampoo etc... which leaves imperfections anyhow. These are really great value. We saw a pair at the local mall jewelry store for $895 and I paid less than half of that with free shipping!

Bought these like a week or 2 ago for a great price. It was exactly as described a 1/2 carat of diamonds. My daughter wears them and she likes them. Delivery was exceedingly fast for this item. Overall I would buy from this merchant again.

Just received these earrings yesterday and was pretty amazed of how fast I got them. Cute little red box and gift wrapping. I'm always happy when I order a product and it's delivered quickly in a nice package. So I'm pretty much satisfied with that. The earrings were purchased for my girlfriend whom I've been with for 2 years. There is no special occasion but I thought it'd be nice to get her something and it seemed like a great deal online. When I got them I placed it on the bed. I waited for her to come home from work. When she did, she was talking about how her day went and how some of her patients(she's an optometrist) drive her crazy. I smiled and told her to get comfortable so we can have dinner. I wanted to wait to review this till I had field tested it. It finally got use two days ago as I spent around 4 hour in the rain. Worked like a charm. It allows you to isolate yourself from the rain and if necessary it becomes a shelter, with just a bit of rope you would get an emergency tent.

It is lightweight and easy to carry, comes in a thick plastic bag which will allow a practical and convenient transport.

I love this version of camouflage as it is the most advanced.

On a positive note, this poncho is much lighter than the military issued model. I have not field tested this poncho, but I have serious doubts about the quality. Mine was missing one grommet. The color and pattern are okay, but somewhat lighter than the picture. This poncho may not be ready for serious use, but it's probably okay to stick one in your bug out bag for emergency rain wear or shelter.

This poncho proved to be very good when we were surprised by high winds and a sleet shower while hiking at about 6000 ft....I could wear it over my backpack.

It's not heavy and serves the purpose.

I would recommend this product.

I ordered this after reading the reviews thinking that this product would do what it was primarily intended to do, that being keeping you dry.



This morning we were receiving a moderate rain, so I thought it would be a good test when I went to walk my dog. I fastened the hood over my head, and started out on a mile and half walk. About a third of the way, (10 minutes) I could start to feel moisture inside the poncho. By the time I got back home, my head and shoulders were soaked and the rest of my upper body quite damp.



Save your money, find something else.

Unfortunately, I cannot say much good about this poncho except that it looks really cool and seems durable. Others have given it good reviews; maybe I got one that slipped past quality control, but I know that at least one other customer has already said what I am about to.



The whole point of a poncho is to keep the wearer dry, right? That's what I was expecting. That the product was not advertised as "100% waterproof" didn't phase me. After all, who would ever sell a poncho that *isn't* waterproof?? Apparently, Rothco does.



The first time I tried the poncho was at the onset of a heavy downpour. Within minutes I could feel moisture on the inside of it, and later when I got inside and pulled it off, I was completely soaked! I was really upset, but instead of returning the product, I decided to try to waterproof it myself. I picked up some silicone spray for tents from Wal-Mart, followed the directions carefully, and didn't use the poncho for a few months. Today I finally got to try it again-- thank you tropical storm Lee. While it did stay drier for a bit longer, after I had been outside walking for about an hour, I was drenched again.



I have given up hope on this one. If you need some concealment for paintball or airsoft on a dry day, have at it. If you need something to actually keep the rain away, something that a real GI or outdoorsman would appreciate, do yourself a big favor and forget about it.

These are well made and the digital camo allows the wearer to blend into your outdoor surroundings. Great for paintballing, observing nature and when the weather turns foul they keep you dry, if one owns the poncho liner they also keep you warm in the coldest of weather and wind proof. Rothco makes great products.

I recently took up hunting again (wild pigs in Texas), and while I've been a serious backpacker since 1971, I never owned a poncho; never saw the need. But now, I find that using one shields me and my rifle from the rain and wind and, at the same time, provides excellent camouflage. I've used the tie-out points to lash it to trees as a quick shelter in 30mph winds - with no tears. I'm now buying it as a gift for friends who also hunt. - Outdoor Gear - Camouflage'

If you don't know how to start a chainsaw than you should not be using one! Once the saw fires you turn the choke off and pull the start cord. If you keep trying to start it with the choke on it will flood the engine. Read the user's manual, it talks about it in the manual. I just purchased the 450 and it cuts like a dream and has the power to really do the trick. I like the fact that I can put a 20" bar on this saw and have the power to get the job done. I'm not having any issues getting the saw to run even in below freezing temps. Make sure you use winter grade bar oil if you cut in the winter. It's only been two days of solid cutting but this machine has out preformed my last saw. Hopefully with good maintenance habits I can keep this thing around for a long time. Oh yea...wear chaps and a helmet. I love that macho attitude with no protective gear. You'd be amazed at how fast you can bleed out when you hit an artery!

Bought this at my local dealer last year and have used it quite a lot. Have had no trouble at all starting it, almost always on first pull after priming, not sure why the other reviewer had trouble. I put a 20 inch bar on it, and it goes through whatever I want. Much less vibration than other saws I've used. Easy to clean and maintain. Would buy it again.

I have had this saw since Dec 24, 2010. I have cut 5 trailer loads of firewood so far. I did have the chain jump off the bar the last time I used it but it was because I had not yet adjusted the chain. I have not had a minutes trouble with this saw. The very first time I tried to start it, I pulled on the rope 6 times. Since then, it starts on the first or second pull everytime. I would definately buy again.

Had need of a new saw to replace an older one that was starting to give me trouble. besides that I have been wanting a second saw and this gave me a good excuse to get one. I typically cut 8 to 10 cord per year for the past 30 years and have had experience with several types and sizes. My favorite was the Husky 55 which I still have but needs some work. I checked out the reviews on the Husky 50 with the most being very good with a few bad reviews but then I saw the same with Stihl reviews so I came to the conclusion some people don't really know much about starting or using a chain saw. Anyhow Amazon had this one for a price that couldn't be beat so I thought I would take a chance on buying it online as opposed to a dealer. I wasn't disappointed. No problem with start-up. The first job I had was to clean up some storm damage. Had a large red oak uproot. At the stump it was about 29" diameter. This saw cut through that like a knife through butter. I cut up that tree in no time. The main reason I went with the smaller saw was lower weight. As one gets older that extra pound or so hanging out there can make a difference on the the back feels afterwards. I just like the way this saw feels in my hand and am impressed with its performance. This model isn't a professional model but for the work as a homeowner on over 5 acres of woodland this saw is perfect.

This is my first chainsaw. I only wanted to buy a chainsaw once, so I did some research online and in the ACE store. I have a healthy fear of chainsaws and read the manual completely through as well as watched several safety videos on YouTube (I highly recommend that). This saw starts super easy if you READ the manual. This saw runs great, cuts like a knife through butter (70' trees) and is easy to acclimate to. I got lucky with an in-store grand opening sale and got the saw, case and extra chain for the price of just the saw. I would recommend this saw to my friends. In fact one of my friends has a Homelite chainsaw and Raved at how fast my saw rips through wood and works much better than his. I also recommend the Husqvarna 2 cycle mixing oil with Sta-bil. Stored my saw since the Fall and it started right away in the Spring. I did have a problem with the chain that came with it, but the store just gave me a new one and I was on my way.



Very happy with the saw.

Fires first pull or three every time. Cuts great, not too heavy/ bulky. Leaks a lot of bar oil in storage, but supposedly they all do. Holds chain tension well, easy to adjust. Air filter easy to access (clean). Would buy again and recommend to others. Did a lot of research. Decided Stihl has a little premium built into price/ mainly for serious cutters. I just cut a few trees a year and just wanted something reliable, not to large, and easy to maintain. So far, so good. I expect many years out of this saw. If I didn't go with this, I probably would've gone one step down with an Echo.

In my humble homeowner opinion, there are two good chain saws on the market today. Stihl and Husqvarna. The Husky 450 is an excellent medium size saw for the homeowner like me. I like the saw because it is easy to start, quiet and powerful. I would recommend it to anyone. The 18 inch bar works for the size tree I typically cut. I keep the chains sharp and have several on hand to change in the field. The bar tool comes with the saw for easy chain changeout. My two sons also use the saw and rate it as highly as I do!

I have lived on 12 acres of woodland for 39 years and have owned other saws...Stihl, McCulloch, Homelite, Poulan, to name a few, and while they were all good saws, nothing compares to the Husky 450. In the past 4 weeks I have been doing some lot clearing, mostly oaks, pine and hickorys in the 8 to 16 inch diameter range and this saw has worked flawlessly. Easy to start (2 or 3 pulls at most)and tons of power. In fact it cuts so easily I look forward to working with it.
