Space Saving - cooking, space saver

There's not much to say about a colander... This one is fine, just what I expected. It takes up almost no space when folded, and that was my main reason for buying it.

Two things to be aware of- the holes towards the bottom of the colander sides are somewhat large and the bottom where the two sides hinge together has intentional spaces. These holes and spaces would not allow you to rinse rice or lentils in the colander, but anything bigger would be fine. Also, it's easier to empty a round colander because you can drag a spoon around the edges but you can't really do that with this one. As Seen On TV Flat Fold Colander

I have used this now several times for large and small loads, from pasta to lettuce and it works very nicely. There are plenty of holes for drainage, it sits easily in the sink or on the counter and it gives you a spout to pour from (versus a round colander). It won't store standing up in my cabinets tho, I guess they are too small but it stores easily in the drawer under the stove or in my pan cabinet, which is a pull out drawer.

The folding colander is exactly what I wanted. It is small enough to put away in a small space AND it opens up to hold as much pasta and/or salad as I need. Once again I have found an answer to living in smaller places.

I was tired of storing and clearing large, bowl-shaped colanders, and ordered this item after seeing it on TV. The item does an excellent job of separating boiled items from hot water, and most importantly is easy to clean and store. I'm quite happy with this purchase!

This was perfect for me, I can put it in the dishwasher partially folded so it takes up very little space. It also stands a little higher on its legs in the sink than my previous colander. Which is great because the garbage disposal protective rubber flaps dont always let the water drain as fast as I pour it through for pasta with a regular colander. It is pretty much your regular colander except that you can make it stand higher and take up less space in your cupboard...perfect for me...I bought two.

Not bad- a little bit cheaply made but it's not like colanders need to be super tough. My only complaint is that although they fold flat, they are still extremely large when folded so definitely read the dimensions prior to ordering. Best Value - wireless speakers, outdoor speakers

Overall, I'm very happy with this speaker system...I ordered 3 pairs of them, in fact, so I could have sound on all three levels of my townhome, and the system seems to work very well through the floors...no drop of signal or distortion noticed. They are attractively styled, they offer a lot of versatility for indoor or outdoor use, and the sound quality is quite good, even the bass. The remote magnetically sticks into the front recess of either unit, the handle makes them extremely portable, and the mood lighting is a nice touch. Very nice. Audio Unlimited really does a lot of wireless speakers, so no doubt they will add more products to their 2.4GHz range of speakers, all of which will work together seamlessly. (Personally, I'm waiting for a 2.4 GHz shower radio, since they already have one in the 900MHz range.)

The transmitter has two inputs: an RCA connection (to headphone jacks and the like) and paired red/white RCA phono jacks (to/from most stereo sources). Right now I'm using a wireless Logitech Squeezebox Touch as the music input, so I've got wireless connetivity to the source of music (my computer and/or internet radio), as well as wireless connectivity to the speakers...AWESOME combo.

It does have a few idiosyncracies which you should DEFINITELY know ahead of time:

1) The units shut themselves off after a few minutes of inactivity. At the loss of a signal, the units immediately go to sleep (signified by a green power LED), and then they shut down completely. This is very desireable power saver in a battery operated device, of course...but not needed so much when you use the wall adapters. Think about it: you want to wake up to a music alarm or you want to press one power button and hear music music booming from all over your house, and you can't, because you have to go over and PHYSICALLY turn on each individual unit everytime you want to listen to them. To me, this is a step BACKWARD and a major design flaw; do you have to go and turn on each and every individual one of your wired speakers everytime you want to listen to music? NO. Anyway, unless you keep providing some kind of signal input, the units will auto shut off. Exacerbating the situation is that the power buttons require a three second press before they turn on, so you can't just quickly tap them all on; NOOoo, you have to wait at each one.

2) So, you ask, "What about the power button on the remote?" Well, the remote will not turn the unit on.(!) What the "power" button does is wake the unit up from sleep, or puts it to sleep...but it cannot turn on the unit after it has auto shut-off. So, like I said...get used to holding down power buttons with these units...

3) The speaker units operate individually. That is to say, the remote does not interface with the transmitter unit, it interfaces with the speaker units, and only the closest one. If you have them close together, you might be able to catch them both, otherwise you have to point the remote at one, and then the other. This is actualy a benefit if you use them individually in mono mode (say, one in the kitchen and the other in a downstairs living room), but if you have them paired into left and right channels, it can be a little difficult to tell if you really have them at the same volume level.

I would recommend these speakers to those who really want wireless, multiple room sound AND who like to move their speakers around more than most people (say, outside for a BBQ, or to a party, or to supplement your home stereo speakers for an awesome movie experience, etc). I'd also recommend them to someone who will only use them as supplemental speakers for a traditional audio source. If you just want multiple room sound and don't imagine moving your speakers ever, I'd probably recommend something wired, or that only has wireless satellite speakers. Or just something ELSE wireless that doesn't require as much hands-on time. My point here is you probably want to turn on your source and hear something immediately rather than running laps around your house tagging speakers.

Overall, it's a great product with an 'Achilles heel'...you probably won't find a better combo of sound, portability, and value in a wireless speaker system anywhere else. I'd say its worth the bux, but just go into the purchase knowing that to Audio Unlimited, "wireless" means more work, not less. Purchased a pair of these (before they came in pairs) in early 2009 after having other wireless speaker systems. I've used them for 18 months and am still delighted. Battery life good (6 D cells each), but comes with adapters and works well with either. Sound is really good for relatively small, wireless speakers, especially if bass is important. I use with mp3 thru an RCA cable purchased at a local Radio Shack and get good response when mp3 is turned up to high volumes. I also use as a wireless speaker for my home stereo system with great results. The only problem is the range is not quite as good as advertised. It does cut out when the range is too much, but that's immensely better than the static produced by other types of wireless. Does a good job of going through interior and exterior walls. Relatively heavy to lug around, but that makes it more stable and less likely to get knocked over. Includes a light to make it more visible in low light, if turned on. Remote is convenient and is stored with a magnet right on the unit. I could not have designed a better product for this use.

Everything was great until I tried to use my iPhone wifi. As soon as I connected to transmitter I lost my wifi connection.

Very disappointing as that is why I purchased these speakers to play my xm radio through my iPhone

Unlocked Cell Phones - smartphone, 9530

Upon suggestion from a friend, on Feb 9th, I purchased a refurb. BB Storm 9530 (1st time I buy electronic/tech product via online/Amazon), The seller had this item advertised as New for 110usd, Used for 75usd, & Refurb for 95usd. (The latter is advertised today, Feb 15th, for 89usd by vendor).

I asked a couple of friends about the difference between used and refurb; they replied that usually, refurb is better, for it normally goes back to factory, where it is checked, and whatever part needs replacement, it gets it. The phone gets fixed and back to almost new. So I purchased the refurbished cell. Phone came in such awfull state/shape: Dirty, scratched, and to top it off, after I had it ckd by a tech, he confirmed the phone had taken a fall / hit: the top corner is broken, a piece is even missing!

In addition, when I purchased the phone, I expected to receive a complete set: Cell., AC adapter(or charger), and battery. (I had purchased several refurbs. in the past, in store in Miami,FL; they all came in original box, with charger, battery, even with CD, and booklet). Guess what? only the phone came, w/out box, but in a plastic bag, inside mailing envelope.

I am so dissapointed that unscrupulous individuals like the one who sold this item, was able to filter through, and trade on Amazon.com. I hope Amazon takes the other 2 customer reviews and mine and ck this vendor out! Amazon should make vendors sign contracts where vendors MUST be very clear (descriptive) about the inventory they trade. Let the Buyer be AWARE! Also, it would be important that the buyer see the ACTUAL picture of the item (as opossed to the generic ones downloaded from manufacturer), so that he/she can make decision to buy or not to buy. I bought this product from Dealscaly and it works 100% so I went ahead and got two more for my mom and girlfriend. I've seen a lot of negative reviews on this product and was undecisive whether to buy it or not. I think it all depends on the seller. When I got the phone as soon as I inserted the GSM sim and put in the battery it booted up and right away picked up signal from my network service provider, Digicel. Everything after that fall into place. There was even a note that explains how to unlock and activate the phone. I must say thank you Dealscaly.

When I read reviews of the product, I was a little bit confused to buy this phone, but now I`m absolutely satisfied with it. The phone was brand new, everything is working fine.

Can`t recommend to someone according above reviews, but it`s worth to try.

I received the phone after waiting for 3 weeks while it was on back order, and it did not work. I spent an hour on my other phone with Verizon and they could not make it hook up. So then I had to reestablish my old phone. Won't buy a phone here again.

In conjunction with Microsoft Streets and Trips 2009 I was able to travel from northwest Arkansas all the way to Panama City Beach, Florida and back in no time during spring break 2009. I received up to a maximum of 11 satellite signals which was quite impressive. The powerful magnet on the back sticks to your car's metal surface firmly while the rubber seal keeps it from moving around. I traveled with it to PCB dry and came back in a dark and stormy night across three different states. The rain was ridiculous. I couldn't see 5 feet in front of me and there were floods everywhere but the USB GPS keeps on ticking! Did I mention it was waterproof? I'd highly recommend this product to anyone! When I was looking for a GPS receiver to go with my Asus EEE PC 4G, I read the reviews I could find and decided i go with BU-353 GPS receiver. My order turned up quickly at my door, installed the drivers and then plugged it into my Asus EEE PC 4G. It registered the location with 8 satelites!

We took it on a test drive and very much please with the performance. I would recommend it to friends & others.

I am a over-the-road truck driver and my blue-tooth gps unit started going out on me so I looked around for a replacement. Most of the review were positive and that had me really looking at this inexpensive gps. I like the idea of a usb unit as I had already tried the blue-tooth versions and the batteries just do not last well for me as I drive between 5 to 11 hours a day. I have waited for several weeks after purchase and use to write this review as I wanted to give it a good try. I have drive all around the country during that time and I have been places where the road was next to a mountain cut-out on both sides of the road and still had gps lock the only places that I have lost gps signal was when I went through mountain tunnels but it picks back the signal on the other side within seconds. Classic Science Fiction - book, intelligent sf

The stories in this book were voted by the Science Fiction Writers of America as the best short science fiction written between 1929 and 1964 and every one is a gem. Some of these stories are reasonably well known and often reprinted, but most of them are difficult to find anywhere else, making this an essential collection for a true fan of the genre. In response to an earlier request for a list of its contents, here are the story titles and authors. I was going to indulge myself by placing an asterisk next to my personal favorites, but I found myself marking almost all of them. The collection is that good.

A Rose for Ecclesiastes -- Roger Zelazny The Science Fiction Hall of Fame, Vol. 1: 1929-1964

I picked this collection up on a whim at my local used book store, mostly to get an idea of which other Sci-fi writers I might be interested in collecting from. This collection turned out to be a goldmine of Science Fiction. In fact, this is one of the only books I will not lend out to friends; and I own an old, ratty-looking paperback Copyright 1970! There are many great stories here, but there are a few I must mention as bona-fide masterpieces. "Microcosmic God" by Theodore Sturgeon is fantastic; the plotting for this story reminded me of the 1995 cable pilot episode for the film "The Outer Limits: Sandkings." Even the creators of South Park use similar ideas in one of their episodes. This collection also contains the sparkling jewel "Nightfall" from Issac Asimov. "Surface Tension" from James Blish is superb in every way. "The Nine Billion Names of God" finds Arthur C. Clarke is fine form. "The Cold Equations" from Tom Godwin is arguably the most intense and sad of all the stories here, packing an emotional wallop not ordinarily seen in Sci-fi. And of course, "Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Keyes. I believe that last one is my favorite here, showing a retarded man's ascension to genius, 'childhood' to a wise and intellectual human being. This story was later expanded into a novel which, in fact, I am reading right now. However, I prefer the original short story version, if only slightly. There are so many stories here ranging from good to marvellous that I simply had to write a review praising this incredible collection. This book is easy to recommend.

The old purple and blue version of this book - the purple was on the edge of the pages, the way some older books have velvety green sides - was my first introduction to the Golden Age of science fiction. The inventiveness and the creative audacity of these stories was always enough to overcome what I felt would have been a cripplingly antiquated "Gee golly" 1950s vernacular... except that the writing almost never has that black and white Leave it to Beaver sitcomish feel that, for some reason, was always attached to the Golden Age in my mind. Stylistically the collection is all over the place. The Connecticut Yankee anachronism of Roger Zelazny in "Lord of Light" is nowhere to be found in "A Rose for Ecclesiastices". Clarke's famous "The Nine Billion Names of God" isn't even a science fiction story until, basically, the last sentence. And describing anything written by Cordwainer Smith with "genre", "usual" or even "describable" is not applicable. I love this collection and, impossibly, every story in it - though some more than others.

I won't dwell on the weakest. Instead I'll highlight what I consider to be the best:

Sturgeon's "Microcosmic God" has the creepy, jealousy tinged atmosphere of nerds watching another nerd who is better at being a nerd than anyone else. This is what I would've been doing with my adolescent years if only mind and matter would've allowed, so reading it brings the distinct pleasure of reliving childhood fantasies. I'm also pretty sure it's the inspiration for a Simpsons Halloween episode involving Lisa and her tooth, which became a South Park nod to both the story and the Simpsons.

Asimov's "Nightfall" is rightly considered one of the best science fiction short stories ever. I've read the longer form and this is superior in pretty much every way: it's already one of the longer stories in this collection but it still benefits from the shorter form with its building stress and, yes, horror during the final pages. Many would disagree but I think "Nightfall" is one of the least creative stories in the collection in terms of sheer inventiveness. Despite that it's still incredible.

Cordwainer Smith is just amazing. As prosaic as that sounds it's about all I can say. "Scanners Live in Vain" is one of the weirdest stories in the collection and it might arguably be one of Smith's most "mundane". Reading a Smith story is like opening the pages of the Book of Revelations as interpreted by the grandson of cartoonist Gary Larson, the painter Francis Bacon, a very wise female clown and Joan of Arc - and you're on acid. This is all an endorsement, by the way.

James Blish's "Surface Tension" is as good an "adventure" story as you'll find here. It's got a fairly linear plot and isn't hard to follow. It isn't simplistic, per se, but it hasn't got the style of some of the other pieces in this collection. It's one of my sentimental favorites, though, for its ability to impart - at least somewhat - a finer sense of proportion than pretty much any description of the vastness of the universe, including Doug Adams'.

And, finally, my absolutely favorite: "Mimsy Were the Borogroves". I'm not doing to describe it. I'm going to simply agree with another commentator that purchasing this book is worth it if only for this one story. - Adventure - Intelligent Sf - Classic Science Fiction - Book'

Overall the accessories are great for the price, though do not expect anything cutting edge. The Quality would probably best be compared to the items you would buy at you local mall at one of the little cell phone accessory kiosks.

For those wondering about each product I'll give a quick review of each.

Leather Phone Holder - overall this is solidly built and works well. Probably on par with the ones you find at other retailers for $7 or 8 bucks a piece.

Phone Covers - I know these seem to have had the most mixed reviews looking at the comments of others with people loving or hating them. For me they work fine. The covers are actually 2 pieces with the phone "laying" in the back cover and the front cover sliding in the top of 2 small plastic "rails" on said back cover. Due to the phone being a slider, this cover does move around a litte since there is nothing on top of the rails to keep it from doing so, but of course something like that would also prevent it from sliding open. And the movement in general is usually very slight and can easily corrected in under a second. I know one complaint has been that the covers aren't open faced so they cover the buttons, however there are images of each button on these covers so you can cleary see what you're hitting and just hit the touch pad to light up the phones screen will give you plenty of light in darkness to see them. Though honestly after a few days you'll know where the buttons are without looking and for those who already have a BB they're the same layout you already know.

Chargers - these have worked great, but be aware that you have to use the same cord or buy another mini usb cord for each charger. These do NOT have a built in cord, similar to the AC that comes with the phone.

Ear Phones - again, they work fine as long as you're just looking for normal headphones and not something state of the art.

Cord Wrap and Splitter - again, they work. There's really not a whole lot more you can say about these two items.

Auxilary cable and Retractable USB - these both worked great. The USB is nice when you're on the go and you can just throw them in a laptop bag without them taking up too much room.

Again, overall its a great package for the price, but just don't expect this to be state of the art stuff. It is literally just the basic, barebones stuff you want or need. CrazyOnDigital retail packaging. New Accessory Kit 16 items for New Blackberry 9800 Torch Wireless Cell Phone

this product was awesome you get so much for so little and obviously if ur using the leather caes u dnt need to have silicon case. but everything is awesome i love this whole kit, except for that fish looking thing that is for ur headphone dnt no what that is for.... but its amazing and so it the price.

This is a great deal. You get a lot of things for a great price, some of the items I wasn't even sure what to do with them...maybe that's the only down side...a description of each item. But that's really not a flaw. Great price, great product

The case is ok and good quality. The rubber colored covers are cute but not practical. The roller ball will not work while in the cover and it will not charge in the cover. The plugs and cords are great.

Many useful accessories in one package. I was just trying to get a protector for my BB99800, but when I see this pack by just 20 bucks I ordered it with no doubt. And the quality are also very good.
