Hardwood Flooring Nailer - flooring stapler, floor nailer

I got this stapler to do my Bruces 5/16 hard wood flooring and it was great. Did a room 14x13.5 in two days. 3/4 of the room in 6 hours after I got going. What a time saver and I did not have to rent, which would have cost the same. Do not go buying a 250 floor stapler if it is to do your own floor or if you are going to rent one. Take your time and use this. Jeff Wolfenson Bynford Laminated & Hardwood Flooring Stapler (uses SB97 type staples)

I bought the Bynford Floor Stapler last winter to lay engineered hardwood. I did not want to rent a stapler as I did not know how much time and help I would have. The previous spring I had laid about 250 square feet of 5/16 oak using a brad nailer, which worked fine but was time consuming placing the brads. With the Bynford my 2 sons and I laid about 450 square feet of the engineered oak hardwood in a day and a half, with only a couple of staple jams. This included all cutting and the occasional carpet staple and nails we would run into and have to remove (no matter how much prep you do you will still find these!). We use the stapler with a small Coleman compressor with a one pound tank. We found Bostitch staples in this size at our local Menards, but our local Lowes did not have them. Have not checked Home Depot.

One of my son's friends recently bought a house. My son took the Bynford over there and they laid over a 1000 square feet of 5/16 bamboo with no problems. I have done a lot of construction and remodeling over the last couple of years and this has been one of the best values I have bought in a tool.

I am a home renovator and tend to buy only the best tools possible. Don't let the price of this gun fool you. It is very well made and balanced. Have done over 2000 sq ft of flooring since delivery without 1 problem. Only drawback is no available adaptor plate for 1/2 in flooring. Go spend $250 for a gun with this feature. Installed all 1/2 flooring with it though, with little effort. Just pay attention to your angle or glue a little 1/8in strip to the base for proper fitment. Very easy for most homeowners to use. Make sure you order staples. May be a challenge to find in some areas. This gun will save any homeowner or contractor lots of money. You'll be pleased....

The Bynford flooring stapler is as good as the Bostich and other similar nailers without a doubt! I have owned the Bostich and when I bought the Bynford I was surprised at how well constructed the Bynford is.I have installed about 2000 sq. ft and not one jam or problem!

Was sceptical about purchasing this gun, Not being a name brand but am very happy with purchase. Have shot 7500 staples so far and it jammed twice. Pretty good average I guess. I recomend this for the DIYer but wouldn't suggest for comercial work.

When I first opened the package and unwrapped the flooring stapler, I knew instantly that I was holding a quality product. It was sturdy, but not heavy, and just felt solid. After practicing on a piece of scrap flooring for a few minutes, I was ready to attack my new dining room floor. The Bynford tool performed flawlessly. The quality-of-performance to price ratio simply can't be beat. This is an incredible product at a fantastic price.

I have 1 of these and 2 bostitch, this was so inexpensive and I needed one in a hurry so I ordered it, awsome, it preforms just as good as the brand name models and I will only buy this kind again because the quality of this runner for a fraction of the cost of a bostitch runner, good job.

This flooring stapler is a great buy! I did not want to rent one, since I only have about 3 hours a day to do my home improvements and I did not want to spend a couple hundred for one. I did a 144 sq ft room with no problems from this tool!! My only suggustion is to make sure your local hardware store has the staples in stock. I had to go to 4 local home improvement stores to find the staples. This a great buy!! I very pleased I bought this staple gun.

I bought and used this nailer almost a year ago, but am finally getting around to reviewing it. It worked out nicely for my flooring project, and at almost half the cost of most others it was a great investment. Out of around 3,000 staples I put through it, I think maybe 1 or 2 jammed up. It's hard to ask for much better from even the best nailers.

The one downside is that it uses a special size of staple, meaning that you can't always run down to the hardware store for more. Just buy a large pack for dirt cheap when you buy this and you'll be set for awhile. - Flooring Stapler - Stapler - Floor Nailer - Cleat Nailer'

Ethernet - cat5, ethernet

I bought this cable to connect my PS3 to the router. The ends do not fit properly in the PS3 Ethernet port. While they lock in place, any slight movement drops the connection and I have to wiggle the cord around to get the connection back. It's just not a solid hook-up. WHITE 25FT CAT5 CAT5e RJ45 PATCH ETHERNET NETWORK CABLE 25 FT For PC, Mac, Laptop, PS2, PS3, XBox, and XBox 360

I was having trouble with my wireless router so before I decided on a new one I bought this cable. I'm not sure why there are other negative reviews. I was linking my wireless router to my laptop in another room and it worked just fine for me so I can't comment on how well it works with a PS3.

It's white so it sort of blended in with the wall and it was long enough for my needs. I never had an issue with this cable.

Worked perfectly to hook up an XBox 360, right length and the white color blended in well with the wall. Just ran it across the floor and it's unnoticeable. Just ordered another one of these exact products again because I needed another 25-foot white Ethernet cord.

There's not much to say about this product. It's a Cat5 cable. On the other hand, I challenge you to find another cable this good for $4-$5.

The connectors are very well built. The snag guard works very well, and does not at all interfere with removing the cable. The end is also built in a way that the protective outer coat around the cable won't work its way out of the connector, like some other cheap Ethernet cables.

I wish it were blue, but so what? It's still a great cable. I'd definitely recommend.

I ordered this and forgot to change the mailing address to my new address. I figured it would be sent back and I'd have to reorder..but after a delay it arrived (had been forwarded by the post office) and it's working great. Thanks!!

This cord is long enough to run the room where our cable modem is to the next room, which is what I needed. It snaps into the port and does not come loose, which I've been missing! I've had the cable for almost a month now with no connectivity problems whatsoever and the price is right! Thank you!

Got this to connect a Wii console to a cable modem, which enables connection to the Internet. Works perfectly for that. Being white, blends into the baseboard where it has been tacked along the wall.

It's a good cable, the first time I used it with my xbox 360 I experience same way before when my unit is connected closely to the modem and then to the router. So far everything is doing well. thank you

Can't really complain about this product. Works just like a regular ethernet cable is supposed to. I like this cable because it actually hooks into the slot and doesn't easily slide out like my previous one did. It's long enough to be connected to the main household desktop, which is 2 doors down from my room. Overall, excellent! - Cat5 - Computer Cables - Cable - Ethernet'

Video Games

I highly recommended this system.

I've owned this 3D shutter glasses system for several years now. It has worked great. Since then I have used lots of other 3D hardware. Some of the HMDs available are pretty good, but cost a ton of money. Most of the other similar 3D shutter glasses systems work well too but cost more. I don't recommend using those old fashioned red and blue anaglyph glasses; they cause loss of true color and tend to cause eye strain. If you want true color eye popping 3D effects at a low cost, this is the only 3D shutter glasses system you should buy for your PC.

For a truly amazing 3D experience, try riding one of the roller coaster rides in the Rollercoaster Tycoon game (not included in this system) using this 3D system connected to an InFocus X1A, X1, X2, or X3 DLP projector with a 10 foot screen. There is a little bit of blue ghosting, but on a 10 foot screen the 3D experience is beyond belief! REALLY FUN! WOW!

The only disadvantage I found to this system was that it requires an nVidia graphics card if you want to play games in 3D. For years I only had an ATI graphics card so I could not play games with the system. This did not matter to me because I bought the 3D system to view 3D photos using the JPSViewer software package (not included in this system) which works on any graphics card with this 3D system. After a few years I bought an nVidia based graphics card and was able to play all my games in 3D.

For a good 3D experience you need a good CRT monitor with a refresh rate of at least 100 Hz, some people recommend 120 Hz. This is NOT the default in Windows; you need to set this refresh rate yourself. If the refresh rate is too low the screen will flicker and cause eye strain. For the best 3D experience I recommend one of the Infocus projectors I mentioned above. With these, a refresh rate of 85 Hz seems to work really good. If you don't know how to change the refresh rate of your monitor, ask someone to help you. The other thing you need for a good experience is to properly adjust the 3D effect. If the 3D effect is turned up very high to an unnatural level, your eyes will not be able to view it properly and this will lead to eye strain. I learned this after a few minutes of using the system. Once I had the system properly adjusted I was able to use the system nonstop without making my eyes tired.

Some people with very weak eyes may find 3D content difficult on the eyes. Some eye specialists actually recommend these types of 3D systems for improving weak eyes. I can view 3D content 24/7 without it making my eyes the least bit tired. I have never experienced any eye fatigue whatsoever on a properly adjusted system. If the system is properly adjusted you will have a very positive immersive 3D experience. The other reviewers who complain about the system making their eyes tired either have extremely weak eyes or do not have the system properly adjusted. X3D TECHNOLOGIES X3D Gaming System (Windows)

I do not reccommend this product. I bought it last week, since it's clame to fame was making your existing games 3D and "jump out of the screen at you". Well, it did what it said it would do in the program demos, but not without heinous flickering of the screen. It didn't work for any of my existing games, but I'm sure it works with the bundled software, but those didn't interest me. I was very disappointed with this product. They call it "amazing award-winning technology"... Just buy some .99 cent 3D glasses and rent a cheesy low-B film and get better results. Stay away from this product!

This kit gives you the VGA dongle and the glasses. You'll need several other items before you can start playing games. Putting this all together can take a little time, but the 3d is pretty amazing.

1) nvidia graphics card. If you're into classic games (lower performance) this needn't be a new expensive card. $20 will get you a GeForce FX5200 on eBay.

2) CRT monitor capable of doing 100Hz. There are LCD monitors now sold that are fast enough, but if you are paying for one of those, you should get a 3D dongle that does better than VGA! You can often find CRTs for free discarded at recycling centers. Companies leave them next to dumpsters as they replace them with LCDs. I found a discarded Sony that looks good at 1280x800 100Hz. It will go higher, but VGA gets fuzzy at high data rates.

3) nvidia stereo drivers. You install these on top of your existing nvidia driver. While freely available from nvidia's site -- I had installation problems. I couldn't get them working with the latest nvidia driver, so had to back up to a version that had the same date as the stereo driver. But then, I'm on Win98...

4) e-d.exe (E-D Activator) available from the edimensional website. This small .exe file enables the dongle and is so much simpler than installing all the junk (including possibly bogus old drivers) on the supplied CD.

While my setup is OK, there's a 20% chance that the game starts up with the right and left eyes reversed. I'm thinking that this is the stereo drivers, but it could be the X3D.

Something I noticed right away with shutter glasses is the darkness. They are shut off half the time so of course the screen is going to be dimmer. You'll have to dim the room lights to see the game well.'

Jumpstarter - inverter, jumpstarter

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00167S67A/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title

The jumpstarter was purchased because my car failed to start on its own one very cold morning. It arrived within two days, and I haven't had to use it personally however my neighbors car did the same and I lent it to him he started first try. Since then we've had power problem outages and I've used the light and battery power to run my laptop and printer. throught the usb port. So far the best buy in the worst winter we've had since 1993. Wagan EL2544 500 Amp Jumpstarter with Built-In Air Compressor

I purchased this because i am wheelchair bound. I wanted an air compressor for both my wheelchair and automobile tires. Also for roadside emergencies. It is lightweight compared to similar models. I have already used the air compressor which is great. I am very pleased with this product because of the various accessories and lightweight (woman friendly). I would definitely recommend this product.

Bought on of these for my wife in February and we love it. We have used it several times and the air compressor once. The air compressor really came in handy to get the tire blown up more than enough to get it to the tire shop with no problem. Now, I am buying one for myself

This jump starter was purchased about a year ago (July 2010).

It was charged up just last week for a three day camping trip last weekend. One of our vehicles had a tire with a slow leak, so we hooked up the air compressor and turned it on...it pumped for about two minutes before it ran out of juice. The battery had indicated in the high yellow when we started pumping, but was a flat zero a few minutes later.

This device obviously either does not hold a charge or had a faulty battery in it.

I plan to pursue either a replacement device or a refund. A battery jump starter should last more than a year. And since it is often be used as a final resort when away from civilization, reliability is a very big concern.

IT WAS A GIFT FOR AND I FOUND OUT IT ONLY WORKED FOR A WEEK

but they told me 3 months later, it they tld me sooner maybe i could have done somethimg about it

THEY TOLD ME THEY DIDN'T WANT TO BE RUDE & GIVE ME BAD NEWS

don't buy this item, like i said it's GARBAGE

The air compressor doesn't work and has never worked. Went to send it back but was 1 day late on returns. Very disappointed in this product.Wagan EL2544 500 Amp Jumpstarter with Built-In Air Compressor

Basically thought this might be a good product. When I removed it from the box, the on/off sticker fell to the floor. The main sticker on the front panel is about ready to peal off. I think it's cheap. They could have checked this type of stuff out in China. - Jumpstarter - Inverter'

Bosch - iridium, spark plugs

I bought a set of six for my three series and they are exactly as represented. Top of the line plugs from Bosch. Installed and car runs perfectly.

I'll tell you more after the next 100,000 miles with them! Bosch (4503) FGR7DQI Platinum IR Fusion Spark Plug, Pack of 1

I tried these plugs on my 2004 Honda Accord to see if they make a difference. The car only has 50k miles, well below the factory recommended change interval for the spark plugs. My average mileage has increased from about 26 to 28.5 MPG. They'll pay for themselves quickly with today's gas prices.

Excellent spark plugs, I noticed the difference of the engine noise right away, especially when driving above 45Mph , the engine runs much smoother and quieter. It appears that 4 prongs does make a big difference over 1 prong, the car accelerates smoother and faster as well.It cost five times more than a cheap 99cent plug (after rebate) but its worth it.

Highly recommended.

If your looking for Iridium for the platinum plug price, this is the plug for you. My Audi performs better and gets approximatley 1 mpg better fuel mileage than with inferior single ground bar Iridium Plugs on the market. Thumbs up to Bosch for this quality product.

I put these in a my Volvo V70 XC as part of a tune-up and found them to be much, much better than the OEM plugs with 30k miles on them. Smoother idling, clearly better response/power from the engine throughout the RPM range, and with better gas mileage.Just a few days after putting them in, however, I lost an ignition coil. After reading a bit on Amazon and elsewhere, I got conservative and worried about whether or not the change in plugs was responsible for the coil loss--they are old coils and some have suggested that these plugs have different electrical characteristics from more traditionally designed plugs.I replaced the coil and then replaced these plugs with Autolite Double Platinum plugs, which come highly recommended from a couple of mechanic friends for durability and compatibility. Gapped the Autolites and installed them and felt, in comparison, as though I was driving a brick around the city. Car took more cranks to start, and the mileage monitor dropped by just about 2 MPG.So tonight I got the Bosch plugs back out of the shed and re-installed them. The difference is pronounced; it's like a different engine.I'm keeping these in and giving a provisional 5-star review on the assumption that the failed coil's timing is just a coincidence. If I now lose another coil or two after re-installing these plugs, I'll be back to drop my star rating considerably and accuse these of being coil-killers, but in the meantime, I just can't leave these sitting in the shed and run on the Autolite DPs given the difference in performance!

Car saw mpg improvement (roughly 1-2mpg for a total of about 15-30miles more on a tank of gas) as well as improved low-end acceleration (0-60 and definitely 30-70). Didn't see much difference in the top-end. As far as engine sound, vibration, etc I didn't see any difference although the car was fine to begin with so... Overall, great plugs and quality for the money!!

I placed these in my '93 Toyota corolla and wow what a difference! Much smoother and quieter running engine as well as better acceleration. Use to have a little knock that I though was lifters on a 209k engine but now knock is gone. Engine is so quiet now that I find myself punching the throttle when at a stop light just to make sure engine is not stalled. I have found that they were well worth the money. 17 to 18 year old car runs like new! - Spark Plugs - Iridium'

Cordless Drills - crdls drill, cordless tools

Although the batteries do not seem to last very between charges, there are two of them in the kit along with a quick charger. The specified torque is impressive, but I think that it may be slightly exaggerated. The ergonomics, weight, and overall dimensions are nearly ideal. The box and Hitachi website indicate a 5-year warranty, but the warranty card itself indicates only a one-year warranty. The chuck is pretty cheap, and the trigger doesn't seem very well-made. The design of the carrying case leaves a lot to be desired. All in all, after about 6 weeks, it appears to be a good drill for light to moderate homeowner duty. The quality of the drill is probably a cut above other drills available in the $99 price range, but it is certainly not worth the $150 that Lowes now charges. If you are willing to spend $140-$150, you will probably be able to get a Makita mForce or Bosch Compact Tough 14.4V-18V model and be much happier. Hitachi DS18DVF3 18-Volt Ni-Cad 1/2-Inch Cordless Drill/Driver Kit

good torque, reasonable battery life for a medium duty drill, charges quickly. the compactness lets it get into spaces many drills won't reach. down side: cheap plastic housing, doesn't fit standard holster, attached belt clip won't hang securely on hammer loop. I dropped mine about six feet and the housing broke completely in two where the handle meets the head. No parts are available yet for this model, so I had to epoxy the housing. If you need a compact drill for the tight places this is a good buy at Lowe's for $99, just be very careful how you carry it. If you need one to use all day, this isn't it.

The drill has a great feel to it . Easy to hold. Battery lasts a long time. the flashlight is very good also. The only problem I'm having is with the drill chuck. It doesn't hold the bits like it should. They fall out quite often.

I bought this drill based on the ergonomics. I picked up and held every drill at the store and this one has perfect ergonomics. The handle is very comfortable and it appears to be perfectly balanced, the weight is perfect, feels light but well made. This drill is the most comfortable to hold by far of any drill I have seen or tested and I looked at every brand in several stores.

The drill has a lot of torque and the clutch is great. I use it as a cordless screwdriver most of the time and a drill on occasion. Most chuck less drills have a hard time holding the bits, but you can use the DeWalt drill bits that have a hexagonal base and it solves the problem completely.

The batteries last a long time and charge in about 30 minutes. It comes with two so you can charge one while using the other. They won't charge until they cool down however (the charger will not charge a hot battery).

If you need a longer run time, you can get NiMH or Li-Ion batteries in anywhere from 1.5Ah to 3.0Ah that fit this drill. If you go with either of those however, you will need a new charger since the supplied charger is only for Ni-Cad batteries. The UC18YRL is a universal charger that can charge all 3 types of batteries.

You can also buy the DS18DFL package which appears to be the same drill with Li-Ion batteries but without a flashlight. For some reason the Li-Ion drill is rated about 6% less torque of 374in/lbs vs this one is 400 in/lbs, although I doubt anyone could tell the difference.

The flashlight is bright and lasts a long time, I use it all the time. The light comes with a spare lamp inside if you unscrew the cover. I had a hard time finding replacement lamps for the light for a while, but then found out the Makita ML180 lamps work perfectly as a replacement so I just pick those up at a local Makita dealer.

I have dropped both the flashlight and the drill onto a concrete floor about several times and both survived without damage except killing the flashlight bulb if the light was on.

I bought two kits I use in two locations and this set has been great in every way. The batteries are getting old so I'll replace them with NiMH or Li-Ion and get the universal charger.

All rechargeable batteries self discharge so if you charge it and store it, it will be dead when you need it. If you use it only occasionally, it is best to store the batteries with a low charge or near empty, not fully charged to extend their lifetime.

When you replace them, you can recycle them at most hardware stores or any Radioshack will accept them. Don't throw them out, the Cadmium is toxic and like all rechargeable batteries, they should be disposed of properly.

A real hit on the job site.Very light and compact.Has a lot of torque.I have used it sparingly since I got it but I can say I am happy.Doesnt have the torque of the 16 volt porter cable but it isnt like dragging a car battery around to install.I have been hanging it on my belt and it isnt uncomfortable.I carry a lot of stuff on my belt and the Hitachi fits my belt and my hand very well.Very ergonomic

After having this item for some time I will tell you that as a professional carpenter I wish I would have purchased a tool with longer battery duration and life. Doesnt take long to run the battery dead and didnt take long before the batteries would only hold a charge for a very short time. I will do the research and find a tool with better batteries next time but still not a bad deal for the price and probably as good as any tool in this price range.

This 18 volt Hitachi is a little power house and the batteries just seem to work and work. I use the drill a lot and under some heavy duty conditions but it just keeps going. When a charge is needed there is a very short downtime for recharge and you are back in business. I wish it wasn't made in China but that is so much the trend; however, it really is a quality drill at a very affordable price. If I needed another cordless (won't ever give up on my corded Milwaukee) I'd buy another one of these. - 18v - Crdls Drill - Cordless Tools - Cordless Drills'
